Bad login process. Login screen doesn’t work about 50% of the time. Otherwise app is useful but that’s pretty annoying.
Could better. Good app to upload receipts and file claims for reimbursement. Hard to review which receipts have been uploaded. No summary for childcare submissions. Very slow download to review receipts already submitted.
Lousy design. Horrible after the big change — have to use a browser to log in and there is no way to log out (still tries to send you to the login browser so it’s circular logic). Everything is slow to load, has an error of the phone screen goes dark (no wonder)… the old app was easy and well-designed, this one is horrible!
Worst Ever. They make everything so difficult when trying to get your accounts sorted. They refuse to take payments over the phone even after they tell you they can. When the company they use to verify your checking account information doesn’t work or even answer the phone when you call, they will demand only direct checking account information. Then they make it such a long drawn out process, they won’t take info over the phone, nor an email even though they will happily email YOU. They will only take a check itself but you have to snail mail or fax. They won’t let you withdraw from their clearly broken system even though you tell them they no longer have you permission to take money out of your check. DO NOT get involved with this company.

Easy to file a claim. So convenient and easy using the app. Saves a ton of time.
When it does work. When it works it is convenient and easy to use. However, I haven’t been able to get to the login page as of late. It keeps saying Safari can’t open the page because it cannot be found.
Awful. This company makes it exceptionally difficult to run medical expenses thru. I should not have to continuously follow up to makes sure our receipts are honored. I shouldn’t have to jump thru so many hoops to have our orthodontist fees honored. I shouldn’t have NSF fees because they freeze the card because they couldn’t properly process our claims.
Super easy to use. Love Paychex PBA! So easy to use, submit receipts by taking pictures & entering minimum information, your money is back in your account within 5 days! Super convenient for when you forgot the card!
So easy to file a claim. Just fill in the blanks, upload your receipt and your refund is in your bank account! So easy!
Easy. Easy to use and reliable
Login won’t work on iOS devices. After installing the app and when I tried to login, I get stuck in a loop of login window. The same results using my iPhone 11 and iPad Air2. I can login to my account at Paychex Flex web site using web browser, but not with this app. App support at Apple App Store only takes me to a window to reset my password. I can’t find any other area to get support from Paychex.

Reimbursing is easy. First time submitting a reimbursement to myself and it seemed like an easy task without any difficulty at this point.
My money isn’t payed back to me. It’s a pain with the Paychex medical service. Even when you have a recipe from a doctor, they don‘t pay it back. You need a itemized invoice or an ebo from the insurance, to maybe get you money back!
Reimbursement time frame. It takes too long before funds are deposited back into your account. I don’t appreciate how this program decides what is/is not reimbursable especially when we are using OUR money to make the purchase. I wish it were easier to use and get access to customer service.
Unreliable. Not only is the login process totally unreliable, I find the claims submission process to be equally so. Transactions I make repeatedly every month are continually denied with no real reason, so I have to constantly upload receipts for something that should be considered a regular transaction.
Perfection!. I love this app. It's so easy to submit a reimbursement. I would highly recommend.
Simple simple simple. Took me 2 mins to submit a claim using camera on my phone
Unnecessarily difficult to get reimbursed. The app itself works fine, so this is no knock on the technology. The organization itself is badly wanting in comparison to other FSAs. Their default is often to deny payment (with one’s own money, mind you) even when documentation from physicians and insurance companies is provided — and when reimbursement is eventually warranted. Nothing out of the ordinary, just regular doctor visits. They make it oddly difficult to get to your own hard-earned money. Something is clearly wrong with their internal processes, as it is a systemic problem.
Useless!. We haven’t been able to use the card (which I thought was going to be SO convenient!) because a document was missing. We’ve made several phone calls, submitted what was requested twice and finally got it resolved after more than a year. Then, at seemingly the same time, a very basic pediatrician appt was denied and we have to pay $25 back. But, the ap, where the notification is, does not give you the ability to pay it. It directs you to the denial letter, blah blah. It has made me feel like they don’t WANT to reimburse you. Make it complicated enough and people will just not use the funds! So frustrated.
Paychex. Easy to use app. Money is deposited into my account at a reasonable amount of time.
Disappointing. Your company flex program is so incredibly tough to work with. It is NOT user friendly at all. You continually deny rightful claims and will not allow charges to go through on my card that are less than my balance.
Challenging at times but often find helpful representatives. Emailing tends to have best results at finding helpful representatives willing to walk me through the process
Reimburse. This works so much better than the fsa did.
Garbage. Like all the other dozens and dozens of reviews, I cannot even log in to app. I really had such high hopes for this. I figured since they want receipts for roughly 80% of transactions at least this can help my husband and I keep things more organized since we’ve got two cards (but the same acct) he’s using it and forgets to give me the receipts OR he remembers to bring them to me AND I MISPLACE THEM :’( So yes I thought this would be the answer to my frustrating issues with that and as mentioned they want receipts for almost everything. I had an FSA card through my work for years and they asked for maybe two/three receipts out of 25 or so transactions a year! But this company is through my husbands work and assumed it’d likely work the same. NOPE. I’ve used it 5 times in Nov 2020 and they want 2 and have frozen my card. I’ve used it 8 times so far in 2021 and they want 5 of them. I don’t get it.
Needs fixing and 4 digit sign in. The app was working fine before and now each time you use it you have to enter your long user name and password. Before I could sign in with my face or use a simple 4 digit passcode. This app has gone backwards and usage will decline of it is not fixed.
Best FSA Provider. Always excellent customer service. For once a company I look forward to talking to!!

Quick FSA claims!. The claim submission process is quite easy using the app once your depends are setup via the website. Just take pics of your receipts or upload screenshots of email receipts. Only issue I’ve noticed is the login process is a bit flaky. Killing and restarting the app generally fixes those issues.
Quick & Easy. The prompts and drop-down menus make this easy and efficient. I like the multiple options for submitting receipts.
Mobile app. Love the new mobile app. So easy to file claim and take picture of receipt. Much easier than the desktop version.
Problem With App. There’s a HUGE problem with this App!!! I have downloaded and deleted and re-downloaded but it will not allow me to log on and see my account. All in does is keep flashing the same “Continue or Cancel” message constantly and locks up my phone! Please Assist!
Not user friendly. No face recognition to log in - not able to reach customer service through the app or find information to do so
Such a headache. In the 8 years we’ve used Paychex to submit our FSA purchases, I have had nothing but problems 95% of the time. Not sure why there are so many inconsistencies. Almost every time I submit for reimbursement I have to call, despite attaching appropriate receipt(s) and doctor prescriptions.

Poor service and app. 0 stars This has been the worst benefits account I have ever had. Every debit card my wife and I have received get rejected. I paid $5 for a new debit card and it was rejected 2 of 2 times. Online claims get rejected and when I call in, they process it (waisted time for what?) The app just spins without processing my request for reimbursement frequently. I have put too much of my time working through your broken processes in order to use My own invested money into My flex spending accounts. What is your proposed resolution? Mike Heitzler
Good Idea - Poor Login. This app used to be excellent! The new login is extremely complicated and often boots me out for no reason. You cannot leave the app to go look at the photo/receipt to check date or amount.
Bad Experience. Even though I’ve set up direct deposit they send a paper to my employer which then they have to cut a check and send to me. Why have the option for direct deposit if your going to send a check through the mail.
Dumb app developers are idiots. App keeps throwing a message about needing h1demand something or other. Then you hit okay then it takes you back to the message again. How many people have to post about this issue before the morons at Paychex for it?
Eeehh. Very confusing… •Have to download two apps in order to affect anything. •Have to go back to the first app if you need to change your password. And when you reset your password, there’s no indication that special characters are not permitted. •Takes forever and a day to upload a receipt This is not very user-friendly. Reaching out to customer service is next to impossible. Had to ask HR for the contact info. No where in the apps does it show a phone number to call a live person. The chat is slow, clumsy and kicks you off with regularity. Maybe using a laptop is better- IDK. Sure doesn’t seem like anyone at the PAYCHEX gives a hoot about the user experience. I wish my company would dump this vendor.
Paychex flex easy to use. Snap and go! Only suggestion allow access to setting instead of having to go to computer to access website.
Terrible app. Timeliness of responses and processing is variable. Items submitted one month may be rejected the next month (using exact same text month to month). Deep systemic issues behind app and a lack of quality control for processing submissions. Oh, and if things don’t work, make a phone call. No text chat help or in app help to explain why account is not working the way one expects. What a lovely app....nope!
Broken. The app doesn’t work. It just makes you log in over and over and over again, and you can never actually get to your account info. Tried deleting and re-downloading and still getting the same issue. Please fix your app.

Not Working...Reverse to prior version!. Prior versions worked perfectly. This update won’t connect regardless of which browser you try. It wants to use an alternate third party/method of log in and it fails to connect consistently. Fix this!

What did you do to this app😡. Having an AWFUL experience with this app. I have deleted it several times. Used to work great. They have made some changes and now it’s crap!!
Login broken. Does not login after recent update. Have to turn off AdGuard and AdBlock in order to see the login form. The cancel and continue buttons don’t work when it asks to select the company. Can’t proceed further.
You can’t login. It does the SSO and sends you a pin, which logs you in, then asks you to login again, around and around. Desktop version is the only thing that works.
Not what it’s cracked up to be. I think that HSA plans are wonderful but when you try to purchase said items at a store that is not a pharmacy and your card is declined it is both frustrating and embarrassing
Issue with app. I can’t complete log in. Every time I open the app, it sends me to the website to login, and I get an error with the server message. Have been unable to access my funds for weeks.

Did anyone even test this?. Upon installing and launching the app, I’m taken to this cryptic looking screen asking for my username/password, verification preference, and to answer a security question....but it doesn’t even show the question.

Issues. Many issues with app
App doesn’t work. When I try to log in I get the message that it cannot load the page because my server cannot be found.
Stopped working. Not able to login anymore. Same issues as others. Can’t go past the login screen. When I login I get blank page.
App freezes. Enter the password and the page loads part way then freezes. The app has never worked well and it’s not really an app, more of a poor performing browser within a browser.
You make my life more difficult. Your system stinks and your customer service reps are less than stellar. It is painfully difficult to get legit expenses pains through you. Would never recommend your service.

This App needs to be fixed!. App was great before.... now since the update can’t even log in. It directs me to a webpage and then says the webpage doesn’t work. Why change something that works perfectly!!!
Paychex. This is the worst app I have ever used. Never lets you sign on properly and need to spend 1 hour resetting password, etc when I know it is the correct app. This does not give me a lot of confidence in your money handling abilities. Please invest in a better app.
Update. Since the update, I cannot use my app. It keeps telling me I need to log in using some IP address but then it errors out because it cannot open using safari. This is very inconvenient! Please fix the issue.
Easy to use for FSA. This system works efficiently. No delays.
Poor Customer Service. Representatives do not give all pertinent information in order to utilize customer accounts. Not cute consequences for company being inept only customer is inconvenienced. If able will never use again!!!

Data missing after converting. After converting to Flex, my FSA app doesn’t work the same and my reimbursement is no longer ach. Two giant steps backwards.

One of the worst apps I have ever used. Horrible app. Never works correctly when you actually need it. Can not understand why it would not have fingerprint login by this point in time.
