Love the app, but.... It hates loading pictures. I'll get maybe four of twenty pictures on an article to load, no matter what my connection is. Comments and, at that point, forum access and posting would be awesome.

No way to search. Needs a search feature to look up what you want

Halfassed. Just use the web site. The app front page doesn't even do landscape mode.

Great app but needs more.. I think the overall design looks great and everything loads great. What this app lacks is the ability to comment which is one of the reasons why I like looking at the news; to see what others think about it. Please add in comments because neither this nor the mobile site has them and it's a pain using desktop version of the site on a mobile device just to look/post comments.

Comments please! :). This CR news app is awesome in every way, but what would make it that much more awesome is if we had the ability to comment and see existing comments that have been previously posted. 4 stars out of 5 only for that but it rocks in ever other aspect :)

Started crashing out of nowhere. It worked fine for me until a few days ago, now it won't even enter the app. I don't think it's just me because I've read other reviews in which the same has happened, please fix! I love this app.

Ok App could use some more. The app is pretty nice. One of the better anime news apps since it even covers some western stuff. The links are little too sensitive. I keep accidentally opening pictures and videos. The app is also pretty bare bones not having a comment section and no search functionality. A save article for later function would be nice too.

Good but could be better. I been checking up the news section on crunchyroll lately so this helps a bunch but some pictures on posts load too slowly or not at all which is slightly annoying. Also commenting and comments should be added to the app.

Don't listen to some stuff on crunchyroll news. I heard from them that bleach was coming back and that it's airing tomorrow well it turns out that was a lie it's not airing tomorrow and they don't have the post up anymore

Cool but not working. This app doesn’t seem to work. Both on my iPad and iPhone the app gets confused asking if I’m connected to the internet despite clearly being connected. Then it just keeps trying to load but never puts something up.

App not working since mid-July?. The app keeps thinking that I am not connected to the internet but both my phone and the app appear to be up to date.

Decent daily news feed. There’s no bells or whistles, but it gives me the latest crunchyroll news in descending order. Would be great if there were indications of what I’ve already read, filters for news vs opinion pieces, targeted alerts or any kind of search feature. Still, the layout beats their mobile site.

Great news site on Anime and Manga. Only down side is it could use more functionality e.g., search, link for mailing article, and quick scroll to top. Some “bugs” include auto image blow up when highlighting text and no full screen video playback. These quibbles aside, the news and reviews are good and for non-Japanese audience pretty current and wide ranging.

Awesome App!. I check this app daily for new anime news, and it always has something good! Great app if u want to know what's happening in the otaku world.

Broken. This app appears to no longer work, will not load on devices with updated os.

Now, if the app would just keep working.... Normally I like this app a lot. But, every few months the app stops being able to find the network or servers or something. I then wait weeks or months until it starts working again. This happens on my old iPad, new iPad and my iPhone, oddly at the exact same time. Come on folks, make this just a bit more robust, or at least tell the user what is going wrong!

Hmmm... I’m disappointed in the cap on the number of articles you can load on the app at a time, and I really feel like there needs to be a search button so I could see if I missed any news about my favorite anime. Like many, I feel like the news app should have been a part of the main Crunchyroll app :(

Should be in Crunchyroll, VRV, Funimation..... This app should definitely be in Crunchyroll. I was surprised when I saw it as a separate app and think it’s a bit unusual to have a whole separate thing dedicated to news. You should put this in Crunchyroll, VRV, Funimation, etc. it would be a lot more convenient although it does allow me to keep up with the latest anime news from you guys. Please integrate this with your mainstream apps. It would make this easier to find and create more of a “community” feel inside your streaming services.

Great!. This is one of the best apps to keep up to date with what's happening in the anime world. Every big activity is listed in this app. It even lists some of those most minute activities that many aren't that interested in. It would have received 4 or 5 stars but recently the app has been crashing at the activation. I have tried restarting my phone and deleting and reinstalling the app. If fixed I'll review the app again well, if not well I'm afraid that my review will stay.

Needs search option. It looks nice, but the functionality is great. All you can do is scroll down basically. It would be nice if you could search topics. Try it out for yourself to see if you agree.

App is great for keeping up to date. This app keeps one up to date on any anime, manga, music, and video game news that deals with Japan. It really is an awesome source of info that you would have a hard time finding elsewhere. Just recently the app stared crashing constantly but it started crashing at the same time there was a ddos attack on crunchy roll in which all crunchy roll apps quit working so they are not really to blame for the app's crashing. Definitely a five star app.

Needs share option. I love using this app and finding the latest anime and game related news quickly on my phone. My main problem is when I see something exciting, I want to post it to facebook. Alas, there isn’t an option to copy the url of the artical or a “share” feature, so I cannot. I need to find the article on their website instead, making me wish I wasn’t using the app and just browsing their web site instead.

Image save. Good app but every time I see an image that I love I have to push the ipod buttons can u put a save image add on

Very pleased!. Works very smoothly, everything is very simple. It's a nice way to stay on top of CR news without having to mess with the mobile site. I kind of wish that I could login to my account and post and view comments, but otherwise it's fantastic!

Feed broken mid-July?. Basically hasn’t worked since July 16, 2018 or so... keeps thinking I’m not connected to Internet. I’ll bet they changed their news feed format slightly and broke this app.

Useless news app. I don't want to come off as harsh, but what it kill for CR to update this app with a comment feature or something worthwhile? Instead you have to go to there web browser and do that stuff. So it's pretty obvious that there intentionally doing this so everyone visits there website to engage with there merchandise and what not or I could be wrong. Oh well.

Unusable. False network errors or crashes, I cannot use the app. please fix!

App wont even open please fix!. I recently just got the app but it crashes every time I try and open it. I might as well just stick to using my browser if this app is not going to work.

Really??!!. I can only scroll up and down. Can’t post a story on social media, I can’t find story, can’t do anything but scroll up and down

App is broken. It hasn’t worked for a few days now. It keeps asking if I’m connected to a network (which I am), and I’ve tried it in multiple locations with working WiFi so I know it’s the app and not my phone. Please fix this soon!

Content update and App Update. I love the app , and how it keeps anime information up to date to ket me know whats going on , however i writing the review hopefully so that you guys read this and update the app. Its been a while and the Crunchyroll app just recently got updated so i think the news app should as well to support the new software. But love the app and the company keep it up Crunchyroll!!

Needs a little improvement. I love the idea of being able to keep up to date on my phone, but it would be nice to be able to read what the community thinks of it and also it would be nice to comment.

Love it. It's a really good app but recently for the past 3 or so days it won't let me go on... It will ask if I have a connection to the Internet when I have perfectly good connection... Hopefully they can fix that soon

Interesting and relevant content. Loving it so far, exactly what I want out of a Japanese nerd culture news app so far, keep it coming!

Convenient. Even though Crunchyroll already has a mobile version for their website, they continue to give us the news we like, now in a sleeker, faster, and more convenient way. The app runs great to simply put it. The app gives you different font sizes for the already easy to read text and links for videos work at their always descent speed. The only downfall I noticed was we don't get an exact time and day the article was put up. Other than that, good job Crunchyroll.

Not worth it! Just don’t bother. Tried it for 8 months off & on. It’s basic, boring, & no search option. If you see they haven’t updated this in a year. All you do is scroll down and when you read a article the design is bland. I suggest for news just to there website at least you can do all the stuff there. Search, something other than scroll down, the articles look nicer to read, & leave comments. If I could I give this app -10 stars for being this boring & bland.

Awesome App. This app is really great. The only thing that could make it better would be something that let's you like/favorite an article to read again later.

Great app for anime news. I was sad that the other crunchy roll app did not allow me to view the news I look forward to, then I saw this app and it does what it says and shows you the news. Great stuff if you can't get to the computer !

Quit working on my phone. Constant problems. Won’t connect to network and update. Every other app works on my phone except this one. Have tried to reinstall multiple times.

Enjoy the News But Would Like Sharing Options. I enjoy getting to scroll through the news on app versus the browser, but if there is an article I want to share, I can't. :( So to share the article if I wanted to, I have to exit the app, get onto browser version of crunchyroll, find the article again, and then share from there. Just would like to have the convenience from sharing within the app.

Needs Comments. I like the app since I can access it far easier than the website. It's fast and usually works well. There are times when formatting is an issue but that is somewhat rare. However, the one glaring omission in the app is lack of comments. We want comments! That would probably allow me to give it five stars since I can't rate 4.5. Update: They fixed the app not working or posting anything. Back to 4 stars.

App sudden crashes. App suddenly crashes and never load maybe need new updates now

Horrible!. All you can do on this app is scroll up and down. There is not even a search bar to give you the option to see news you really want to see. Please fix this!

Excellent but problems. I am a long time user of this app and find it to be an extraordinary source of anime information. However I have recently encounter a problem with this version of the app. Upon opening it will crash immediately. I look foreword to a update.

No sharing?. A very basic version of what the site offers which is handy but you should look into adding a sharing option.

Good! But missing features. I love this app. it's a quick and easy place to get anime news. There are few features that could be added that would push this to a 5-star app. 1. add the ability to favourite articles for later reading 2. add the ability to share articles via iMessage, facebook, etc 3. add 3D Touch peek and pop

Fails under iOS 8.3. I upgraded from 8.1 to 8.3 and now it claimed I have no internet no matter what. But when it WAS working I think this app is cool that you get recent events but without a search, it fails as a modern day news app.

Too many clashes. Way too many crashes to recommend this app. The moment I start it up, it'll crash and close in less than a few seconds. Avoid it. Hopefully in time, they will fix this problem.

Perfect app for anime fans. This is the perfect app for anyone that loves anime, manga, and Japanese culture in general. The only thing it's missing to be perfect is to enable comments and maybe profiles.

Doesn't load. When I open it, it always has a popup message asking if my network is connected. Nothing else loads beyond that. Needs another update, then I'll change my rating.

This app is like plying the lottery. ok this app is nice when it works. it keeps you up to date with your favorite manga and anime news.The downside is that it hardly works. Even if you have full LTE bars, it won't load and just ask you if you are connected to the Internet
