Not functioning for FL. Tried it out and nothing would showed up except for a banner to watch an add to switch to retro version - but still no data!

Great App.. This is a very simple and easy to use app that does what it is supposed to do. I hike a lot and use this app on a regular basis. Love it.

Forces to enable location services. Useless if u have a weather app.. Ok first of all this app FORCES you to enable location services instead of just letting you type your location in just like the rest of the apps of the world. Is this even legal ? Secondly this app does nothing new other than pull UV info from weather data. You don't need a seperate app for that if you have a weather app that shows UV index. I can't believe this was actually a paid app.

It tells you the UV index.. It does indeed tell you the UV index for your current location and looks nice while doing it. This most recent update says there's a watch app however when I go to the watch app to install, it's not there. This is the reason for only 2 stars. Also, it would be nice to be able to add multiple locations.

Helps Us Safely Prepare for Yard Work. During March to November, my loving wife and I are outdoors gardening on our three acres more than we are indoors. This app helps us decide what protection we need. We rely on it daily.

Use it daily. Having skin cancer I can not go out in the open areas under the sun without protection. This little app informs in seconds what safety cover I need to go outside. Love it.

A life / skin saver. If you go outside you should be aware of UV's. This app will give you the 411 on UV's. Now with a Watch App!

Does not ., I can not properly open this last version on my iPhoneXs. When I try open App it does makes effort and blink with opening ., and momentarily shuts down.., Its really a blink ., and I can even see half a front page then .. English goodbay., is finding myself at page with other apps., Can you please check it out ...:(. ??? Please ??! Best .....

Accurate. At the time you open the app

Good for kids. When my kids say they don't want to apply sunscreen or wear a swim shirt I tell them to use this app to check the UV index. If below 3 and experts say OK for no sun protection then we can skip the sunscreen. Otherwise they need to follow the guidelines or stay out of the sun. Saves arguments and teaching them some science.

Uses location data - not actual sunlight. If this app seems too good to be true, that's because it is. There is no UV sensor on the iPhone. They rely entirely on the current GPS location to then find out from some unnamed weather service what the UV Index is for that overall area. But what's worse is that you can't manually input a location to plan ahead or to specify a time of day. This means you cannot use it to help in planning for a trip or if you live in an area with micro-climates, such as the Bay Area.

Terrible. Does nothing but crash upon opening.. worthless..

Don’t be fooled. Ok, this app does provide the UV info. But it has more ads in it and more links to download other apps than it helps. I’ve got this app for free from AppAdvice Daily. I hope you don’t pay for this ad app. I gave 2 stars for it provides the UV info.

Nice App. Get the UV index AND recommendation for appropriate protection, all on one screen. Super!

Accurate At The Moment. Tells an accurate reading at the current time your looking at it but you don't know what it will be like at a given time so you can't plan ahead at all.

Barometer not working. Crashes when I try to check the barometer

Love it, but.... I love this app, I just wish it would let you write locations that you would like to see the UV meter.

Doesn't Work. Installed on my iPhone 6 Plus. First it stated it couldn't connect with server, which I don't know why it needs to. Rebooted my phone and now meter just sits at zero. Am I doing something wrong? There are no controls and where and the pull down thing doesn't do anything. Update: Got it to work and thought it was metering okay. It first read 2, then I held it to my reptile UVmeter light and it read 4. Now it reads 4 in a totally dark closet after refreshing several times, argh!!!!!

U. V meter. Works great. Handy on the Apple Watch especially in the Summer on the boat

Can't program to new location. I'd give it 5 star but you can't program location to view UV Index in other areas.

Works fine. This app and the other apps in this series are good for your present location only. There are simple and accurate, providing basic info. I only gave it 4 stars because I feel the UV app should be included with the Thermometer/Hydrometer app rather than a stand alone.

Seems to be doing fine.. Although this app seemed to me like a bit of a tall tale, I have come to enjoy it. The idea is amazing, but being able to see other locations UV would be a nice added feature. Overall, if you wouldn't use it everyday or if you had a skin condition or lived somewhere like I do in the tropical zone, this app would not really be necessary. I hope to see future apps like this one with better added features and upgrades. Good app needs improvements. I wouldn't really recommend purchasing it though unless you thought you needed too because if you don't live somewhere sunny its a waste of money.

App needs to do more. This app does only one thing - display the UV rating at the current location, at the current moment. Can't look up other locations, no hourly forecast for the day, not even a description what the ratings mean - which other apps do. For a paid app, it needs to deliver more. Was ready to uninstall it after using it for 1 minute, too bad iOS doesn't have the option to reimburse on quick uninstall.

Update succeeded. If you need good, accurate and updated information about the UV index in the place you stay, this app is the one you need. Easy to read on a meter, no clustered useless information, but just what you need. Six months ago I wrote a review complaining about the information not being updated automatically, but the developer has really listened, so the app is now a must-have earning five stars. Having sensitive skin and living in a place with a lot of sun I use it every day(easy to just tap the app on the Apple Watch). When I am travelling it automatically gives the information on current location. Thank you and keep up the good work!

Does Not Seem Accurate. I have a hard time believing that a sunny, summer day in Tampa has a 0 risk with more than an hour outside before burning. If they are willing to stand out here and show proof, I'll begin to rely on their app.

Ok but can't manually lookup. I would keep this if you could manually lookup the location. You have to turn location services to always on in order to even use the app. Otherwise it's fine, but having an hourly chart or forecast would be better.

Does Its Job Beautifully. Beautiful design. Haven't tried to confirm its accuracy.

One-trick pony, but does that one well. Elegant, helpful information about UV index and recommended precautions for current location. A+. However, lacks ability to check for any other locations. This prevents me from using this app to guide packing for a vacation, for example. This is a deal-breaker for me, but only taking off one star since they don’t claim to do anything beyond current location.

Very good, needs to be able to back track. Good app, fast, has refresh. But needs to be able to back track to an earlier time that day to see what the UV was throughout the day. Maybe make a meter movable to coincide with time. That's all the improvement I would make!

Great. Gives advice on what sunscreen to wear, how strong the uv is, tells you what to wear, and automatically locates you. Very good.

Needs ability to change location. Looks gray but definitely needs the ability to change location. First, if the location is off (i.e. my work location incorrectly lists the next city over), you should be able to set it to the correct city. Second, if you're planning a trip to go somewhere for a day activity, it would be nice to see what the other location shows.

Excellent, succinct. This app delivers 100% of what it promises in an easy-to-read GUI. It would be nice to have multiple locations, like in Apple's Clock app, but it does what it promises in an efficient manner.

App needs an update. App won’t work with my Apple Watch. Please update! Love it on my phone but need it on my watch.

Disappointed- just the current UV. This app displays the current UV index at the moment. No hourly forecast, no daily forecast (would really like a forecast for tomorrow). Please update with that functionality.

No Apple Watch complication. The one useful feature for the Apple Watch would have been to show the UV level as a complication but this app doesn’t do that. Also every time I start the app on the watch it says the app needs to be updated.

You can't change location. I can't tell if it has the right location because it doesn't say the name of my city. It just lists it as Arlington station. What is that? It should be able to change location but you cannot.

The worst app. The app is either not working or not accurate. Sometimes I check it early in the morning it gives me 1 then I check it again afternoon when the temperature is so hight in the summer and still gives 1. This app is useless. I downloaded it long time ago and thought it would be go with time and after update but still useless

Okay. I initially gave it a one star because the only thing that was working were the 30 second ads, but now, 4 hours later it appears to be working, after you first watch a 30 second ad. Not sure I’ll be using this very much just to get what I can get commercial free from just about any other weather app.

Not so accurately.. 2 only level which is safe outside? But in other uv apps says it is 5.2 level which need protection at passed 3pm clear sky here in los angeles and sunny hot.

I love this app. This app is easy to use and gives real-time readings; a big assist in planning outdoor activities/monitoring sun exposure in Arizona.

Not accurate. I love in Kuwait and it is 122F outside right now. I literally just got a flip-flop tan line from walking to my car from the grocery store (not exaggerating). Yet when I open the app it rates the uv level as a 1 and doesn't recommend SPF. There are no instructions for the app, so I don't know if I'm supposed to be standing outside when using it, but no matter; I'll be deleting this one.

Crashes here too but started working. Good app.. Was just reviewing the the other app from developer. Here also it crashes immediately after opening the app. Of course the location is turned on. May have to see after the reboot of the iPad. Now works well so 4 star.

It does not work!!! Really bad.. I'm in Melbourne and it is about 35 and more degrees Celsius but the UVmeter does not work, and keep on showing that the uv level is 1. Please do something about this problem!

Good, when it works. Used to use this app all the time. It’s well laid out and enjoyable to use. However, most of the time now it will tell you can’t retrieve uv info, which unfortunately has pushed me to another app. Really nice app but unfortunately comes with lots connectivity issues making it hard to recommend.

Great at the beginning. The app no longer works. It is very sunny and hot outside, and the app tells me that there is no protection required. Please fix this problem.

Love it.. Can u integrate this app into “Thermo-hygro “ so all data is in one app rather then 2 apps? I have Thermo-hygro as well made by u guys. It’s awesome app. But integrated with his would be icing on the cake.

Great app. Essential app for people that burn easily.

Waste of my money. Do not purchase this app as a UV meter. It only uses your location and pulls the information from Weather Underground. It does not measure the UV at your location at all. I am a skin cancer survivor and was looking for an app that would travel with me and report actual UV conditions. This app doesn't work that way at all. Not recommended.

Has potential, but ...... The only thing worse than old data is incorrect data. This app always shows 1, even if the uv is 9 or higher. This is dangerous. If the app doesn't have correct / accurate info be brave enough to say so.

Works good. I have another one so i can compare the 2 UV apps and so far it works okay. The only downside is that i can’t chose the location and it finds me in a farther away city.

Uv meter. It appears to work fine, but it is the only one I can judge, but necessary to assist my wife's condition by. She is allergic to sunlight.

Doesn't work!. I bought this to help me and my kids to know how hot the sun is but it doesn't work at all! Very upsetting.

Incorrect information. This App says the UV index is 0 at 10:15 am, but the whether App says that the UV index is 4.

Lying liars that lie.. This is NOT a UV meter. It uses local weather reports to give readings. I want my 99 cents back.

Not accurate at all. I'm in the middle of the desert in KSA and the app tells me no need for even a sunglasses, and the UV meter at 1 all the time. Something wrong.
