The old app was better. Used this on our cruise this week. Too much is missing or difficult to find. I have not been able to use it all since leaving the ship. Screen is blank & get an error telling me to try again later. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it, but that did nothing. Not impressed.

Doesn’t work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. App always opens to a blank screen after I log in.

Better than the old app!. Usability is much better than the old app! Hope they add main dining room menus and improve the daily planner features.

Not accurate information. Under guest information it shows my status as “first timer” when we are platinum latitude members. We have been on 8 NCL cruises and have a ninth one booked.

Ready!. SOO excited to board this gorgeous ship.

Pay more for less. NCL should take a long look at what they have become

No chat on new app. The chat feature is not on the new app! That is a vital part of communicating with people you are cruising with. Also, it doesn’t work at all. Once the ship set sail, it never worked. It was a white screen and never loaded. Had to use the old app to use chat

App not ready for production. I feel that this app is still pre-version 1 or beta. - Cruisenext certificates are not displaying - several links (payment status) error and say “Safari cannot open the page because address not found” - cruise details are not accurate as it shows my post cruise hotel but not my pre-cruise.

New and old app stink. Old app has some features you need but lacks others, New app has lacking features but now missing the needed features you had on old app. The “my plans” section will not populate on new app. Old app does not have departure times on itinerary so basically you need both apps to have some idea of what’s going on. Wouldn’t it make sense to have information like port arrival times, departure times, excursion reservation days /times and dining/ent reservations all in one place… is that not essentially what an itinerary is? When and where to be is literally the only “must have” info for a cruise.

Broken since Oct 2024. The new app was nice (lacked old chat functionality) but it has not functioned since the Oct. 2024 update. I still can’t get it to load. I have removed and reinstalled it several times with little luck. Definitely need to rollback this latest version. Very frustrating with a cruise in 3 days.

Inflated excursion prices!!. We are two seniors traveling on this vacation and I’m shocked at the charges for excursions. There’s nothing under 100 one of the excursions I wanted to take was gonna cost me 179 minus the $50 onboard credit for my husband doing the same excursion same day it’s 187. I don’t understand the $10 difference.

NCL App with white background is not Valid. Using the white background app I paid for thirty dollar app for Casino slot game for winnings of one hundred thousand dollars when my shipmate told me there was another app I should be using. I didn’t see one hundred thousand dollars slot game on new app so I do not know if my entry fee will be returned if the slot game is not taking place. Also this survey doesn’t allow for numbers or symbols that is except for period symbol which is applied when you press space two times after you finish a sentence.

Nice new organization. I am really enjoying the new look and feel. Information is well organized giving me everything I need to know on the home page. Can’t wait to try it out on board. Well done folks. One small glitch. I am Sapphire latitude. On the hamburger icon it shows my correct status. However, on the cruise details / guest details page is shows I am a First Timer.

Great app. Easy to use

Huge Upgrade. The new NCL app keeps all your information in one place and a huge upgrade from the prior app.

App Broken. I enjoyed this app and still do, but I have not been able to use for at least the last two days. I told everyone on our upcoming cruise to get this app and now none of us are able to use it. Ridiculous! We’re trying to plan using the app, which when it works is pretty great, but if this keeps happening it will really affect our opinion of NCL’s ability to provide reliable IT solutions as we get closer to sail date. Is my information even safe?!

Inconsistent. This new app is inconsistent. You never know if it will work or not. It’s frustrating to have delete and redownload it each time you want to use it. It looks good when it does work but I don’t count o n it just yet.

So much better!. New app is better in every way…so far.

Frustrated. No matter what the problem is the people at the Internet Café blame it on the app, the website, the Internet on the boat, they don’t understand why things aren’t working I would like to know if the Manhattan dining room has lamb or seafood on the menu if they do I would like to go there if they do not then I will fight my way through the buffet Of course you fill your plate at the buffet and then try to find a seat and by the time you find when your food is ice cold

Won’t load. I downloaded the app when it first came out, and right away I noticed it was faster and cleaner looking than the original. But, that only lasted a week. Now it won’t load at all. It’s just a white screen with faint squares in the background. I read other reviews where people are having the same issue. This needs to be fixed ASAP, or this app is completely useless.

McLaren. Both your apps are a joke.

Turn off private relay. Update: Someone exaggerated I visit the ship’s Internet cafe and chat with the tech guy on duty. Turns out if you have an iPhone and the private relay feature is turned on, you need to turn it off. Both NCL apps work just fine now. Now being able to really compare both apps while on board, I prefer the old app due to the chat feature and the deck plans/maps. If NCL continues with the new app, please add those 2 features! I’ve been on the ship all day and the app still doesn’t recognize I’m on board even though it shows ship time. The ship’s internet is working fine on my phone but neither app (this one and the old one) will recognize I’m on board. I can’t see my itinerary or any of my excursions/meal reservations. The chat feature of the app isn’t coming up like it normally does. I’m very frustrated. This shouldn’t happen. I liked this new app better than the older one right up until I boarded the ship. Now it won’t work at all. I just get errors. Update: it’s day 5 of my 10 day cruise and it still won’t recognize I’m on board or function properly.

Upgrade to style. The app upgrade was definitely needed. I like the modern style that adds simplicity along it. I’m one with the first ones using the app. So I’m still exploring all the features.

Terrible Update. This latest update was obviously not tested properly before its release. Nothing working, currently on Spirit of America In Hawaii and so many people having issues with non-loading pages, the app often telling you you are not connected to the ship’s internet (when obviously we are). Have deleted and redownloaded but to no avail. Really Crappy Norwegian, really crappy.

Won’t even open. Downloaded the app, created a profile and added the cruise. Tried to open app a while later, doesn’t open. Just a blank white screen. Deleted and reloaded. Same thing. App is useless.

Missing some features. The new app does not include ship bars & lounges nor deck maps. The previous version does. New app needs to include the same features as the “old” app

Major pain to use on boat. The app no longer supports communication with iMessage. The company is pushing you into buying an unlimited connection package in order to communicate with the members of your party. Also you must delete your VPN and turn off all basic security measures to use their WiFi services. I am burning through minutes trying to to get it functioning on my basic 150 minute package.

Removed the best feature. I like the new interface; however, it appears to have come at the price of no longer having the ability to purchase the onboard communication package for those traveling together. I do not want to be made to purchase a $200+ internet package for each family member just to stay in touch onboard. NCL fix this!

Does not work!!. I’ve tried everything I could to get this app to work and it just doesn’t work. There was nothing wrong with the old app. Nothing loads at all, constantly says “whoops! We couldn’t load this content. Please try again or come back later” and still nothing works. Every time I click on a page it’s blank! It’s so frustrating and annoying!

Poor app. The app is extremely slow, it takes at least a minute to load the home page. When you click on plans or any of the other icons it says “whoops something went wrong..” after waiting forever. Doesn’t show any of our planned and paid for excursions. The old app worked seamlessly. I hope this app gets fixed before our cruise. Very disappointed in this new app.

App Freezing Up. We were trying to check in for a cruise and it took 2 hours because the app kept freezing up. Then we weren’t even able to load our pictures. It wouldn’t accept them. Definitely not as usable as the last app that you just did away with. Hopefully this is fix before our next cruise. It’s very irritating trying to check in 3 people and it takes 2 hours

New app is awful. The highly-touted new app takes forever to load content and will many times return an error message that content can’t be loaded. I’ve updated the app and the issue persists. Why is it so difficult to get this app up and running and eliminate bugs? I hope you can fix these issues before my cruise so I can actually use the app on board.

NCL needs to fix this app. Using an iPhone 15pro max and fiber optic internet. I recently received a message from NCL stating that I needed to download and start using the new app which I did. I wish I had never done this. This app does not work. It will not open in most cases. When it does open the first screen, it will then not open other parts of the app, such as plans, itinerary, etc. This app is useless at this time.

Love the update. The update definitely makes it more modern with photos and short summary. Makes it easier to navigate and get excited about the cruise.

Won’t Load. Like others, I’m having issues with this app loading. It worked for about an hour on Saturday but ever since then I’ve been receiving an error message saying “we couldn’t load this content. Please try again or come back later”. It’s been doing this for two days now. I tried deleting and reinstalling and it’s still not working.

App takes forever to open. What have you done with this app . The previous app worked perfectly now the so called upgraded version is useless that it rarely opens and cannot use it . There was an update today and still doesn’t work . App developer you should read all the negative feedback on Facebook . Please fix and I’ll change my rating. Went from 5 stars to ZERO

Not Happy. In the old app I could view my upcoming cruises and the days until we leave. This app only shows the current cruise. I’m on it so I know what’s happening! I do not like this new app!!

New version is great. I didn’t like the old app. I would only use the website. This version is really easy to use. Love the tabs at the bottom. Makes navigation very easy.

Where is it????. Took off the old app and downloaded the new one. All it shows me is a blank page on the app and then it says try again later. What the heck. The app is unusable.

Content won’t load. I got this app last night and it was working fine. I really enjoyed it. However, today no content will load at all. I’ve restarted my phone, deleted and reinstalled the app, no go. It’s not my Internet as I have fast speed, and all my other apps/sites are loading just fine. Additionally, the old app is loading and working well. (I don’t like the UX of the older app, though, and would prefer to use the new one). Very frustrating.

New app doesn’t work. I don’t understand why businesses feel the need to keep changing things that weren’t broken. App I’ve used for my last two cruises no longer works and was forced to download a brand new app. Well, can’t do anything when the app shows nothing but a white screen. Open and close, download delete download. Completely useless and I have an upcoming cruise. Great job testing the app before releasing!!

Cruise app. I like the new app. It gives you your most needed information on front page. One negative is I can’t look at my second Mediterranean cruise in November and make plans for it or the one after that.

Delay display. Changing screens has about a 30 second delay until the page fully loads. But once displayed, the information and graphics are useful and well done.

Trying to squeeze every last penny out of you. No messaging capabilities.. Currently, the high cost of WiFi makes it difficult for many people to stay connected. A built-in messaging feature would provide a more affordable alternative to relying on expensive internet access. This improvement could make the app more user-friendly and accessible for a wider audience.

A MUCH NEEDED APP UPGRADE!. This was a much needed upgrade! The old app was very boring. This new upgrade is eye catching and user friendly. I like being able to book reservations for specialty dining!

Slow and Dial Up era. I have Gbps internet. This app makes booking feel like I am in dial up era. It is also not useful when you have a large party with two rooms. The app requires creating individual accounts for each room to book. This makes excursion booking cumbersome, especially dining reservations! I called in to talk with cruise specialist and was told it is just the way things are. Terrible.

Finally. Finally an app that is so friendly, and has so much info. All my questions were answered. Thank you NCL. I’m looking forward to my third cruise; this time on the Getaway out of New Orleans, Louisiana. Cheers, Randy!

The new app is terrible. We cruised Alaska in October 24, the new about froze up all the time. So much so, that it was better to use the old app. Now the old has been sunsetted, only the new app remains. It's awful, slow, takes forever to open up data if it does open. I hope the have the app working before we get on the ship next month.

A lot slower than the old app. On board the Epic right now and am having to rely on the paper daily for the schedule of events. App takes way too long to be useful aboard the ship. The old app worked fine on the Escape. Really a poor upgrade, and internet speed is just fine to browse sites and stream, it’s just the app that seems to have the issue.

New app not working. This new app is worse than the prior version. When you click your itinerary it no longer shows the activity booked for the day. It only shows the port and the time at the port. The old app used to show the dinner and the excursions. It seems a lot harder now to book activity because the app does not show which days have or does not have plans.

Looking. I am looking forward to this trip. Just looking at the pictures is very exciting. I looking forward trying and doing a lot of different things.

Always down, no messaging. The app is often not working or super slow to open pages. The fact that messaging other passengers is not available is awful! If you need to reach out to others in your group, you need to all purchase unlimited internet or just set times to meet up like it’s 1984. PLEASE bring back messaging without needing full on unlimited internet.

Not Ready to Be Forced Upon Us. Should have left the old app operational until the kinks were worked out of the new app. No menus on new app. No chat. You open it and slow to load (if anything loads at all). I wasn’t going to review till the app was operational, but since I am not forced to use it, I am forced to add to the one star reviews of it. Your CTO dropped the ball on this one.

No More Shipboard Communication. Really disappointed in this app, removing the communication feature is a big inconvenience for me and my family as that is how we would communicate on the ship. NCL is trying to force everyone to purchase internet packages to communicate with each other, but we really like to unplug on vacation and don’t want our teenager distracted by the internet. I was fine paying the $9.95 communication fee so please bring that back and update app.

Old app was better. This app is so glitchy it offers less features and they took away free in app messaging. Just one of them many things Norwegian is taking away, but somehow charging us more than ever for cruising. It’s graphically more appealing, but that means nothing if it doesn’t work smoothly.

Needs improvement. The new NCL app is delayed and slow compared to the previous app. Some how new app showed that I had a balance for my cruise after I had already paid in full. The app applied to my account a balance for the prepaid gratuity that I wasn’t ready to pay yet. I am not the only user this has affected. There have been others according to a group of people

Easy to navigate. Everything is at your fingertips. Much easier to find important information.

Won’t open. Was prompted to download the new app. Once I did, I got in, tried the new AI feature to find our next trip. Left the app and now cannot get back in. It acts like it’s loading with shadow shapes of the features that are trying to load, wigs out and then fails. Will try again and update when fixed, but with the sale going on I am disheartened I can’t access to see the deals.

Terrible app. I leave in two days and the app suddenly has stopped loading any information - it just shows a white screen. It was working decently okay until about a week ago. I reached out to the help center on Norwegians website and they said they aren’t experiencing outages but online many others state the same frustrations.

Slow and no messaging!. Terrible new app! Messaging has been removed, too! I guess they’re expecting everyone to pay for the overpriced slow internet if they want to communicate on the ship instead of the $9.95 they used to pay for with the old app. The old app was very fast. The new app takes 8-15 seconds just to load. Not happy!

Slow and incorrect. Once you launch app it takes 17 seconds for anything to load on the home page. It displays incorrect number of days until sailing. When you have multiple cruises planned and you are switching between cruises it displays Null instead of the ship name. Clicking on anything takes about 8-10 seconds for it to load.

Still Waiting.... Well, this is frustrating! While telling me it's compatible with my iPad Air, I'm still looking at a blank white screen hours after being forced to download the new app. I've even tried deleting and reloading, rebooting - nada. Keep the bells & whistles, give me an app I can use please. Meantime, it's back to the website for me. Glad we have a few months before my cruise to get the kinks out!

Extremely disappointing. I was hopeful when they updated the app. Thought it odd they didn’t update the old one but created a whole new app, but whatever. New app… not so amazing. You can’t add plans. Can’t talk to your fellow crew mates. It isn’t user friendly at all. Changed view mid trip. The biggest fail is not having a chat to be able to keep in touch with the people you’re cruising with.

Trip history?. I miss the deck plans and trip history. I fingers the app cumbersome. When I select venue, I should see the location, events, and the time of the event. Restaurants should include the hours of operation and the daily menus. The app should let Ma navigate to the day of my cruise.

App doesn’t open. The app doesn’t always open consistently. A lot of the time it gets stuck on a white loading screen. I’m just hoping it doesn’t do it when we are on the cruise when I need to see what’s going on, ship time, etc. when it does open it’s great. I can make dining reservations and book shore excursions easily.

Doesn’t work. The app will not load even when I have full bars or connected to wi-fi. I already tried re-downloading the app and all it shows is a loading page when I click on the app with no icons. I have been trying to book excursions for days now and still the same problem even when I come back to the app after some days to see if the issue has been fixed.

The countdown needs to be fixed. It’s a nice app but it makes no sense that you shut down the old one when the old one’s countdown actually worked properly!!! The new one’s countdown is stuck on 55 days even though 55 days was yesterday please fix it Norwegian because I want to properly track the days leading to my vacation

Downgrade. While trying to use the app it is extremely slow and non responsive. The previous app was easy to use and no issues with it being very quick and responsive. The app is still not recognized by safari as it is a trusted site. You would expect a newer app to be better and not a downgrade. Disappointed.

Slow and errors. Very slow to navigate. Several errors when booking excursions. It said it couldn’t process my payment when it really did go through. Confusing and not a great experience. I’m worried things will not be booked when it is time to cruise
