Needs work. For some reason I have to keep signing in when I watch on my smart tv. It’s the only app that I’ve ever had to do this with and it’s really annoying. Also the rewinding and fast forwarding are clunky. Definitely needs some work.

Terrible. This app is horrendous, it was perfectly fine when it was just MSG+. I can’t even log into my cable provider anymore through the app. The subtitles don’t go away when you turn it off. There’s always glitching and freezing. Do better or just go back to the way it was when MSG was a stand alone app.

Worst streaming app ever. Every time I open this app it says my tv provider is connected but tells me to sign in for access. Now whenever I try to log in it just sits there loading and wont even let me log in so I cant even watch. MSG+ never gave me an issue and this app has been nothing but issues

Because msg+ wasn’t bad enough. Barely gets all the way through login (at least it does that!). When it does “work”, it is too blurry to even make out the score. Awful quality. Stream to AppleTV? Spinning wheel of death. If you’re going to chain us to your awful app, at least make it work. You’re the ONLY reason we even still have traditional cable. Happy to pay for a working app, but instead we will watch it illegally like we’ve done for years. Give up and let the cable companies handle streaming. Or better yet, let big tech do it. An absolute joke.

Should be able to give less than 1 star. Regardless of the device you watch on (Mobile, Apple TV, etc.) the lag is horrendous. Its incredible they charge what they charge for this service. The prior MSG+ app worked well. Why replace a working service with something so broken. Upon reaching out to customer service, I was told to “restart my router”.

Buggy and incomplete. This app freezes, has buggy caption settings, and shows zero stats. You’re luck if you can log in with your provider and view games. Not sure what they were thinking but they know they have you over barrel if you’re a fan, so I’m not even expecting a response. But I’d think twice before paying for this if you could get it somewhere else.

Unacceptable. I agree with most of the reviews on this app. For the astronomical amount they are charging it is ridiculous that you have to wait for a game to end to start a replay. Also, the game’s been over for 30 minutes and the replay is still not available. Either make your app worth what you are charging or lower your price.

Glitchy Frames. The hockey streams for Rangers will just glitch out after a few minutes of watching and it’ll be like I’m watching 5 frames per second. This never happened with the MSG+ app. I don’t understand how a new service can be this bad at doing the one thing it is designed to do; high quality video streaming of live sports. Please fix!!!

Awful, Buggy. This app needs a lot of work. It is literally 2-3 minutes behind. And it’s noticeable. I got an ESPN alert for halftime of the Knicks game well 3 possessions before the game ended. It was an enormous hassle to sign in. I couldn’t in my phone for weeks. I reached out to customer service. No luck there. They never even responded. Making this literally the only option is so dumb.

ALLOW STREAMING SUBSCRIPTIONS. Horrible experience! I couldn’t even sign up because it kept forcing me to purchase cable TV, with no other options available. On top of that, I had to download three different apps just to get to this one, only to find out I still couldn’t stream what I wanted. Total waste of time and incredibly frustrating!

Please fix this app. I'm constantly between my two homes in different regions. So this is the only way for me to watch outside of NYC. However, I get an error message EVERYTIME I open the app. I then have to uninstall, reinstall, login, then link my cable provider again and again. I also have to repeat it sometimes because I get error messages. This needs to be fixed asap

Bad to worse. MSG+ was painful enough but now I must use this dreaded app that often doesn’t load, glitches, and many times the game has been over a minute delayed. Pathetic to say the least, another constant issue is having to log in almost every time I use the app. Negative 5 stars is more accurate score

Truly awful. I didn’t think the New York sports viewing experience could get any worse but this app is terrible. Developers should be truly embarrassed, people were making better apps 10 years ago. Issues include regular crashes, captions randomly turning on, endless spinning wheel when hitting connect tv provider, constant logging out and disconnecting provider and a woeful login experience, and more….

Simply doesn’t work. I couldn’t hate an app more. Dying to watch your favorite team? Maybe stake out a good window in your neighborhood instead to try to catch a glimpse of someone else’s TV. Roku app crashes every time you try to watch something. Like it’s never worked once. The iPhone app AirPlay crashes every time too. What are we paying for??? This is an absolute disaster of engineering not seen since Challenger.

Lifelong Yankees Fan Can No Longer Watch. As a daily viewer of YES network and Yankees games, + pre and post games, I am incredibly sad to find out Xfinity does not support Gotham sports. For years and years I’ve watched the Yankees consistently on YES via my xfinity provider, and now I’m distraught to find out it’s not supported through Gotham Sports. WHY do we need to do this???? Just because you’re switching apps now I can’t watch my favorite team and one who tunes in regularly? Ridiculous and sad, at least I got to watch them this season. At some point we can’t afford all these new streaming apps…

Seems ok for me. I cast it from an iPhone 13 to an LG C3 and it mostly works fine. Haven’t had issues, yet, that others are mentioning. I’ll try to update this after I have used the app a bit more.

Horrible App. I have been unable to access Knicks games through this app, even though I am a Spectrum cable customer. I get an error message every time I log on. Customer service was no help - it was some guy who had trouble speaking English who kept telling me to delete the app and download it again. When that didn’t work he told me he would have a specialist reach out to me from technical support. That was a week ago. Nothing but crickets since then.

Seamless Streaming. Not sure what all the negative reviews are for. Used my apple login from MSG+ to log in and now can easily stream the Knicks, Devils, and Yankees on my iPad and Apple TV. finally all my favorite teams in one place!

Constantly signing out. On every device , every day I have to re sign in and link my tv provider. It makes the app pointless, it’s so sad they can’t release such a simple app without all these stupid glitches that make the app unusable. Please update this and stop making accounts sign out every day !

Awful Money Grab App. I would give this app zero stars if I could. It costs $30 a month, which is three times more than any other streaming service, and it doesn’t even work on my Fire Stick. This is peak sports season, and I can’t believe a company would launch such an incomplete, untested application. When I contacted support, I waited over an hour to speak with someone, only to be told they wouldn’t credit my account and had no timeline for a fix.

Absolutely useless. Can’t sign into any app on my iPhone or my Roku. Create a login then try connect the TV provider and it still wants me to pay when clearly it says I still have access to over 500 games. Clearly I do not cause once I login and and connect nothing work and it only gives me the yankee and nets, when I want the Rangers!

Terrible app. I would give zero stars if I could. Every single time I use this app, it errors out on my Fire TV. I have to uninstall and reinstall it each time I use it. It’s very glitchy and freezes multiple times during the games.I wish you wouldn’t decommission the MSG+ app. At least that one works and we can watch Knicks and Rangers games with no problem. Even the Gotham mobile app makes me sign in every single time. I wish it would remember my credentials so I don’t have to keep signing in everyday to watch my teams.

Can’t change password. Clicked on link several times to change my password but app doesn’t send email to provide new link to change it. App says it recognizes me when I enter my email but won’t take my old password, so I’m essentially locked out.

Clearly a half baked app full of bugs. This was clearly not ready for prime time. There are a ton of bugs, the bar won’t go away at the bottom. Half the features are missing. Don’t launch a half baked app with the amount you are charging people

Automatic Log Out. I prematurely submitted my previous review on how it logs me out daily from an apple tv. Also, the UI leaves something to be desired. For the price, it would be nice to access full game replays from the past. It would also be nice to watch a live game from the beginning rather than joining live. These are basic features that most streaming services provide.

Great to have all under one roof. As a knicks and yankees fan, app makes it easier and less cluttered to have one platform

Terrible App. An absolute buggy mess, and insane to think they just pushed this out as if nothing was wrong. AirPlay is beyond frustrating to deal with, where it’ll just randomly freeze for no explicable reason, forcing you to reload in every 5-10 minutes. Is it too much to ask to just throw these games on YouTubetv or an equivalent that is more stable than this botched mess?

Freezes, Audio is Awful, Glitchy as H*ll. Everyone has already mentioned the constant freezing and glitching of the app. I would like to add that the audio is AWFUL. I have tried on many different TVs with the same results. The broadcast audio is so quiet on the Nets games that you can’t hear unless you turn the volume up all the way. When the commercials come on the volume is excessive. Can yall please balance it out and give me the ability to hear the broadcast I pay for??? Please???

Can’t use the app on my TV. I downloaded this app on my Samsung TV to watch Knick games but for some reason I can’t log in on the app. An error message pops up that says login with social sign on. I checked to see if my TV is compatible it is. So I called customer service they tell me that the issue is inter with the app it’s like a glitch. The developers have to fix this fast because I can see that I’m not the only one with this problem

Can’t Connect to TV Provider. Anyone else having the issue of when you click Connect to TV Provider, the screen blinks for a second and does not take you to the TV Provider screen? This is an issue on my iPhone, but not on my iPad. I have deleted and re-installed Gotham Sports multiple times. Huge issue!!

Just bad. When you go to watch last night’s game on the iPhone app…you press play and the final score is already at the bottom. So now it’s spoiled. And if you somehow manage to avoid seeing the score (which is almost impossible because they plaster it all over when you’re pausing it or move the phone) there’s no 10 second rewind or play back. So if you want to rewatch a a play you can’t fast forward or rewind with out scrolling back a half hour). And heaven forbid you can’t watch the 3 hour game all the way through, there is no continue watching section to resume where you left off. You have to start from scratch. This is basic stuff that adult content websites have figured out, but not Gotham.

There’s a Glitch. Just downloaded the app, and while it looks great, there is a glitch. While the app will allow you to subscribe and/or proceed to purchase the service/plans, it will not allow, at this time, you to connect to your TV Subscriber. When you click on the “connect” button - nothing happens. Would be great if this can get squared away.

Close caption. Very very annoying bug is the close caption dialogue stays at the bottom of the screen blocking the score even though I have it turned “off”. I have to turn it on, then off again to make it disappear. I then switch from the Knicks to the Rangers and guess what? Close captions are back on again! I emailed them about this but no response.

Won’t allow me to log in to tv provider. Been trying for a while to log into my tv provider (I use MSG+, YES! all other apps without issue). First it said I needed to turn off tv provider access in my Apple settings because of some SSO thing. I did that, and now when I log in, it gives an “unable to load the metadata” error every time. Not sure what else to try.

My first ever review. I cannot understand how they not only released this app but it’s mandatory to use it to watch all the sports teams. It is glitchiest and worst app I have ever used… and that includes free apps. This thing cost a few hundred for the year! On my Roku it doesn’t even work at all. I reached out to support and they tell me to reinstall app which of course I did and when I told them it didn’t work they went radio silent. Right now I am watching the knick and the video is about 10 seconds behind the sound!

All Around Terrible Experience. This app and service is downright bad. Your stream will regularly glitch and disconnect (every 5-10 minutes) forcing you to reload the entire app during a broadcast. At $10 per game this is simply unnacceptable. Speaking of price points, there is no option to just subscribe to one team. You either pay $30 a month for access to a bunch of teams you don’t care about, $180 per year for the same thing, or you pay $10 per game, all to have your broadcast consistently disconnect. Why can’t the Dolan’s get this right? Why can’t I pay $15 a month for one team? It’s been one mess after another between MSG+ and Gotham. It’s almost like they intentionally throttle the service until you just give in and pay for cable (they definitely do). MSG as a brand is an absolute unanimous failure, but that tracks with their delapitated arena and aging, failing ownership.

Does not work!!!!. I wish I could give zero stars. I created an account and connects my provider. It says I have access to Yes and MSG but the app shows absolutely nothing from MSG, no games not even the channel. And everything from yes is locked. Everytime I try to watch anything it asks me to subscribe or connect my provider, which I already did. When I try to click it again nothing happens. This app is horrendous!! I really hope they fix it soon! Does it only work for people that pay the ridiculous prices to subscribe directly?

Just awful. Downloaded this for two tvs: One on a Firestick for an older plasma that’s still kicking, and one on a new Samsung smart TV. I have to sign in every time (which is every other day) on the smart tv. As for the version downloaded to the firestick, I got it to work only the first time I downloaded the app. I can’t even get it to open after restarting the firestick. Awful transition from the MSG app which worked last season without any of these issues. Money terribly spent.

Awful, Just Awful. I can’t even use the app! I sign in with my TV Provider and it claims it “can’t fetch the metadata”. I contacted customer service saying they allowed me a temporary fix and it did nothing. It’s been weeks since this app was introduced and I’ve missed every game thus far. Atrocious implementation in the middle/beginning of multiple incredibly important sports. Baseball playoffs, hockey season, football, all of it missing because they can’t manage their own app. Trash.

This is getting criminal. I just want to watch the Rangers. That’s literally it. I do not care about the other teams enough to want to watch them, let alone the Yankees. I already hated paying $30/month last season, but to do this and charge even more?! It’s crazy. We got rid of cable to save money not spend more in other ways. Also, this app doesn’t work, I have yet to be able to sign in, I keep getting an error message. I’m done. I guess I’ll listen to the games on the free radio this season. Thanks a lot, Dolan. Really for us fans, aren’t you? Typical for him, overpriced and dysfunctional.

Problems on Firestock. I entered all my info after install and the next time I went to use it I kept getting an error that it couldn’t open. I uninstalled/reinstalled and it worked but the same problem happened the next time too.

Why did they feel the need to make this app?. As if MSG+ wasn’t bad enough, they went ahead and made an even worse app to watch your favorite New York sports teams. For one, on my TV the app doesn’t keep me logged in and I have to retype my login every time I go to watch a game. Another thing that was already a problem on MSG+ is the constant connection and delay issues. I’ll get an alert of the game score and results 30 seconds before it happens on the broadcast which is incredibly annoying. Just overall a horrible experience that could be made so much easier. Really a shame for an app that broadcasts some of the biggest brands in all of sports in the entire world! It’s unacceptable and should be fixed and updated immediately.

Frustrating. I downloaded Gotham Sports and paid for the membership in order to get Knicks and Sabres games. The app is buggy at best, and unusable at worst. On Samsung TVs, every game the inevitable “error” message will pop up and refreshing the app will not fix the issue. On tablet, I can’t even get the app to load. A waste of money until issues are fixed.

Somehow worse than MSG+. Regularly a minute behind, terrible interface with no analytics available and even worse playback. So many times through 20 games the playback disconnects and I have to reload the page/app. Such a disappointment that we’re forced into an all around worse app.

So far useless. Didn’t recognize my MSG+ login, threw three errors trying to link my FIOS account, only showed the Devils game & wouldn’t swipe to other games, despite the dots below that banner, then when I went to schedule and selected the Islander game, it told me it hadn’t started yet (it’s in the 3rd period). So, after all that, I missed the end of the game. UPDATE: When it works, MSG+ was still better. Can’t rewind, and where’s the Boxscore? Not the rosters, but the goals and penalties? The highlights? Who scored when, was it a comeback or did they blow the lead? You’ll never know by checking the app. UPDATE: Tonight I get the spinning wheel of death when I try to login with my TV provider, which brings me to my next issue with the app: Why do I have to enter my tv provider every other time I use it? I even get an email saying Gotham app is now linked to my FIOS account. Then two days later I have to link it again. Seriously, who designed this app? Total garbage.

Unable to Connect TV Provider. I’ve been unable to connect via my tv services provider, Verizon Fios. The buttons in the app to connect to TV provider simply don’t work. Why would MSG discontinue their app for an app that doesn’t work? Now I can’t watch Rangers hockey away from home unless I fork over more money for a subscription I’m. Supposed to get for free. Maybe it’s an intentional “glitch”? Very disappointed and suspicious.

What a great app. This app is so good I use it to watch all of my favorite sports teams while I’m away from home. It is actually a flawless app and doesn’t lag at all unlike other apps. Also the price is very reasonable, if anything I would expect the price to be more because of the quality! Me and this app is a match made in heaven. Just kidding it doesn’t work very well

Inexcusable Quality for a Paid Service. I didn’t think an app could be worse than the MSG+ app, but here we are. Let’s start with when the streams actually work: no video quality adjustment, audio adjustments for enhancing dialogue and reducing loud noises with questionable effectiveness (and redundancy with most modern tech which do it better), no information on stream quality (bitrate, packet loss, etc.). Unfortunately, the app/stream oftentimes doesn’t even work regardless of device. Unable to connect tv service provider some times, video hitching, audio drops seconds into stream, stream just stopping completely. Apps/services in this condition should not be available to consumers let alone be charged for. DO NOT pay for this service. Instead, research alternative free streaming options. No amount of money paid will take this service to an acceptable quality.

Literally not functional. I subscribed solely so I can watch Islander games on my Samsung TV. When I try to log in, I get an error message saying my email is associated with a social login, whatever that means. I called customer service and was told that I can watch games on my phone. I didn’t pay 250+ dollars to watch games on my phone. The customer service rep literally copped an attitude and told me all sales are final, it’s a well known problem and to check the app for fixes. I will be on the phone with American Express tomorrow getting my money back. Ridiculous - product doesn’t work and rude and unhelpful customer service.

So frustrating. I’ve been a die hard Yankees fan my entire life and have watched the YES network since it began. Decided to cancel cable and bought this app and the delay and constant freezing is unbearable. Over $200 a season when I have to exit out of the app atleast 5 to 6 times a game because it freezes and the same is always at least 4 or 5 pitches behind. You’d think spending all that money that they developers would have the urgency to fix it. I guess not. GO YANKEES

Just had a call with support for 20 minutes at 930 at night on a wednsday just for them to tell me the same thing as the last year and a half and 7 cases. “ delete and reinstall app “. This app doesnt work. Bring back yes, bring back msg as single apps and put this horrible app in the bottom of the ocean. It never works. Never able to come home from work and just enjoy a ballgame. Waste of money.

So close but way too far away. The video quality is usually great. That is the only thing you have gotten right. The login information is never remembered. Constantly have to re enter my cable information to get in as the app forgets it. Navigation is slow and logic for what’s on doesn’t always work and have to search. Local Sports are the only reason I still pay for cable and you almost have it with building this as a subscription but the user experience is so terrible, legacy cable survives.

TERRIBLE!. This app is awful. It is extremely glitchy - constantly logging me out and not allowing me to connect to my TV provider (yet the option to pay for a subscription seems to work fine). It seems to get very confused if you log in to multiple devices with the same account - which shouldn’t be a problem. Absolutely ridiculous. It honestly feels like the whole app was put together very sloppily and doesn’t receive any updates or support.

Just frustrating. Should be so easy but it not. It is bad enough that I need this app but it is unreliable. Most recently it told me I HAD to update to new version. I just wanted to watch something quickly and didn’t want to wait for update at this time. I had just downloaded it a few weeks ago so that much couldn’t have changed. Then when I try to update it, hoping it’s quick, it spins for a bit and then tells me there’s an error and I need to go to the google website.

TERRIBLE!!!. This app constantly denies you access even when you are signed in, or it logs you out. If you’re logged in through your cable provider and have access it still offers you upgrades and if you decline, you cannot access the channels, even though you are logged in and have access. The app runs slow, restarts. The GAUL on the people who run this app to think they can charge the prices they ask for and how this app runs. Just listen on the radio.

Worst App Ever!!!. For the price you pay to watch your favorite team, this is the most frustrating app ever. Crashes at least 10 times during a game. I have called support 3 times already and their response is to always delete the app and re-install it. Terrible customer service. The UI is also terrible, 100’s of bugs that are too long to list here. I don’t think the developers care because it is the only way to watch the Yankees. Worthless. I pray for the playoffs so I can watch games on a stable platform!!

In No Universe Is This App a 5 Star. It’s bad enough to pay well over $200 a year for this thing, but the functions are painfully slow, it drags, logs you out all the time, and is at least 2-3 minutes behind the game. This is the best you could do for charging that much money?? I bought it for my Dad who can’t get MSG due to Xfinity/MSG greed and it’s just absolutely awful. I wish there was another way for him to watch games because this is painful to help him with. Fix this mess

Horrible. The worst streaming app I’ve ever used. We should getting paid to use it not the other way around. Every home run hit, it freezes and have to back out. Also freezes randomly, AT LEAST 10 times per game. I have great internet so that isn’t the problem. The app is just terrible. Oh and also have to fast forward multiple times per game bc of the extra adds or you’ll be a half an inning behind. Absolutely the worst sports streaming app but I don’t have a choice so I have to use it

Continuous Bug. I have been using this app for a few years now to watch my Yankee games. I consistently am asked to re-enter my TV provider despite the fact that it hasn’t changed and I haven’t logged out. Most of the time, on both the phone app and the Apple TV app, I cannot even properly go through the processes to enter my TV provider. The idea of this app doesn’t bother me. It just feels like it was poorly coded and didn’t get a whole lot of love in the creation process or like it was cheaply made.

Unequivocally Awful. This app runs so poorly it’s insulting to the consumer. Constant glitching, freezing, and lagging no matter how good the internet connection is. Also is it too much to ask that an app that costs nearly $400 a year gives us the ability to pause and rewind? It’s 2026 and we still cannot pause and rewind live TV? We had this ability 20 years ago and now we have regressed to whatever this “Gotham Garbage” is. I’d say “do better,” but I’m sure you will do nothing about this because it might cost you an extra dollar to help the consumer.

Stopped working and support is a joke. App stopped working in the middle of the Sabres’ game on 3/7/26. Still wasn’t working on 3/8/26, and I missed the BEST game of the season vs Tampa!!! When I click WATCH, I see a spinning circle for a split second, then nothing. It just sits on the watch screen. Chatted twice with support. What a joke! They just follow a script…”Update iOS” “Power cycle your phone.” How about FIX YOUR APP??? The Sabres are FINALLY making the playoffs, and I might miss the games because of this GARBAGE APP! I would give ZERO STARS if I could!

Embarrassingly Bad. Every developer involved with this app should never have a job in app development ever again. By far the most unreliable streaming app ive ever come across. More than 50% of the time the app gives error messages and doesnt stream anything. ive missed half of the Yankee games over the past year because of this garbage app. (Update: The incompetent people behind this app claim that their issues are fixed. It will not be. They will have countless issues throughout the year and multiple games will be missed.)

Terrible UI and always logs me out. I’m a YES App refugee and that app had its issues but the Gotham app is terrible. It’s hard to find the content I’m looking for. I have to click on too many things in order to get to the Yankee game I want to watch. And why the heck does it log you out every single time? I use it on iPhone and Apple TV and I am constantly having to log in. That never happened with the YES app. Please fix this.

UNBEARABLE. This app is the worst streaming platform available. I have to constantly delete the app and re download, log back in every single time I open the app, and re authenticate with my tv provider every single day. It never works on my Apple TV. Yet allows me to subscribe no problem. The only thing that works SOMETIMES is watching from a browser and air-playing to my Apple TV. Ridiculous how this ever made it past their QA team and shipped to the customer. Truly pathetic.

Pick n play. Ever since I updated my phone to iOS 26 pick n play has been having many issues and when I did the last software update and made the game very buggy and with the last update to the app I can’t even play pregame at all that I have to use a separate device just to be able to play it. And every time I’ve reached out to customer support they just say that it’s being investigated and as high escalation and can’t give me a definite answer of what the issue is.

Awful app-bring back YES. Constant issues with the app with it showing that I have my TV provider connected (optimum), yet it has a lock icon next to the sports/channel icons and won’t allow me to watch anything until “I connect my tv provider” once again. When I click the button to sign in again (even though it shows I’m clearly signed in) the icon just spins in circles and does not allow me to watch the game. Bring back the YES app please

Worst app. This is by far worst app I have ever used for streaming video. Is several times longer than other apps to open and going from one screen to the next is painfully slow. Watching sports games involves glitches and the screen freezing every single time. On top of the $40 a month to pay for this horrible service they actually insert commercials DURING THE GAME. When the game comes back on, it's two minutes later. Just a sleazy money grabbed by a cheesy company. I only hope is my season ends early so I can dump this subscription.

Needs to be much much better. This app needs major improvements. There is no rewind function and the replays of the games are not easy to use or find. There is no reason, after paying a subscription, that I have to watch a commercial when fist logging into the app. I watch the NFL games on NFL Sunday ticket and can go anytime and rewind and fast forward. The GS app does nothing like that and I am disappointed in my subscription

Semi transparent white bar over video?!. Full screen video on the iPad has a semi transparent bar covering the right quarter of the screen. It is VERY distracting and is an utterly useless design element. For what this service costs per month, is it too much to ask for a clear viewing experience? The silly little analytics icons permanently on the screen is bad enough, we also need another useless design element that obstructs the view? I want to watch the game!

Sheeeesh. Alright so I wanted to try and become a Nets fan so I said I gotta get this app so I can watch them. Paid for the subscription and it is honestly hysterical that this Is a real app. It is so utterly atrocious (lags like crazy and is so quiet I have to turn my tv to 100% just to hear). All because of this app I now despise the Nets and became a Blazers fan. They should have changed the app from YES to NO instead of Gotham Sports. What is this Batman? Figure it out and do yourself a favor and just don’t like New York teams for sports.

Need to fix log in issues. I keep getting kicked out and then it takes days for it to let me log in again with a tv provider. When I can access content it works great but actually accessing the games is a huge issue that they need to fix before baseball season starts because it’s ridiculous.

Constantly Defective. Whether it’s the app web browser etc. the service is constantly defective. I’ve had issues for months while paying access to the content through my cable provider. When trying to escalate via customer support I’ve experienced no reasonable resolution. I asked them to just give me access to the content through my account with them while they sort out any issues with the web browser or cable provider which they declined.

Stuck on the same commercials. When streaming to a television, there's always a commercial that the app gets stuck on. It just gets stuck and repeats a part the same commercial almost every time. You'll need to click on live and hope you won't have to close and restart the app and miss parts of the game.

Nightmare App. Since using Gotham, not only does it log me out after almost every single game I watch, but it will glitch and even log me out mid game sometimes. Then when I do try to log in with my Verizon info, it just buffers and freezes and prevents me from logging in for days at a time even. Extremely frustrating to use, especially after the fact that YES was a perfectly fine app to use. Seriously considering on just paying for the MLB app because I’ve missed a dozen games at least this year solely due to Gotham

A joke and monopoly. Horrible experience as a first time user of your product tonight. At first it wouldn't let me login after purchase so I had to call. Then as I watched the Sabres game it randomly would start showing the PRIOR game for 5 seconds at a time. Then I couldn't even watch the 3rd period because it brought me back to the 2nd period while saying it was live. Many complaints on twitter, it wasn’t an isolated issue. Ineptitude. How am I supposed to trust you during a playoff run?

Works but frustrating. It baffles me how this app has 4+ stars. Read through the reviews. They are all awful. Somebody’s paying for the stars. $240 for a NHL season and the stream freezes every commercial on Apple air play. Been an issue for years. Clearly no intent on fixing it. We’ve used different phones and tv combos. Doesn’t make a difference. It always gets stuck playing the last 5 seconds of the commercial over and over until we reopen the app and slide the play bar forward. Very frustrating for the price.

WORST APP EVER. it’s actually baffling how bad the gotham sports app is. the delay from live game to the streaming (on TV, iPad, phone) is AT LEAST 2-3 minutes, which is unacceptable and honestly makes watching the games feel pointless when I see the ESPN alert minutes before the play happens on my screen. not to mention it makes you log in nearly every time you use it. this platform NEEDS to be better, especially considering it’s the app for one of the biggest sports cities in the country. FIGURE IT OUT

The worst thing to happen to Sports streaming since Apple TV. This app is absolutely horrible they have no connection to service providers like optimum and with the removal of MSG earlier this year and the addition of it back literally now everything on my home page is locked. All YES and MSG events are locked behind a wall saying “connect to your service provider” yet I am logged in to optimum it says it in the top right and the button downs even work. You get stuck in a forever load. This is the worst thing to happen to sports streaming since Apple TV.

Convenient Option. Being a Rangers, Knicks, and Yankee fan I couldn’t have asked for a better place to watch all my teams. Price is fair enough and the year subscription makes it worth it to watch at home or when traveling.

Authentication very inconsistent. Maybe this is unique to those watching through TV providers and not those that pay an additional amount (I hope for their sake it is!) but it seems like every few times I login I have to disconnect and reconnect my TV provider for the games I’m entitled access to to actually show up. Sometimes streaming will also randomly drop out unrelated to connection or the quality internet. Very frustrating app that needs to be better.

Fantastic App. This app is incredible. It works flawlessly and allows me to watch Yankees games without the need for cable with their subscription. The best part is that you can stream the app to your smart tv and watch it that way when you’re home. Highly recommend!

No Playoffs No Key Games. I paid a lot of money to watch very few games. I can watch a handful of regular season games because it seems as if they are divided up and shown on other platforms which does not allow them to be shown on Gotham. There is no access to all games despite buying the most expensive package. This app is nothing better than the other apps that squeeze you to pay more and more for less and less. Ohhh…and for your comfort during the games you can watch - THEY INCREASE THE DECIBELS FOR THE ADS YOU HAVE TO WATCH! (to add insult to injury).

Start from beginning while live!. Dear Gotham: you’re already getting a ton of money for this. It’s not a lot to ask for you to provide the option to begin watching a game from the beginning while the game is live. If I wanted to watch the whole Yankee game live on your service, I should be able to start the next game from the beginning even while they’re playing. This is borderline unethical. How much profit do you need to make before you provide something so simple. You already own everything. Why is this so hard?

Paying Twenty-Five Dollars a Month and Still Can’t Watch the Games.. I pay an exorbitant amount of money just for the app to tell me that I can’t watch the Yankees’ games because I’m traveling. I’m not traveling; I split my time between two different places. And this app is totally unsympathetic to people in my situation. Even during the half the time when I’m in the region in which I originally subscribed, the app barely works. If I could give this app zero stars, then I would!

Horrendous. If I could give this app negative stars I would. Truly pathetic how it never works, you constantly have to reconnect your TV provider and that works maybe 5% of the time. Whoever designed this should be fired. I could design something better and I can’t design apps but at least mine wouldn’t pretend to try and work. Just absolutely pathetic. Of course if you’re a Yankees and Rangers fan you deal with this 12 months out of the year. The worst app out there and it’s not even close. If my life depended on this app working start planning the funeral

Can’t watch the Yankees. Every so often the app makes me log in again. Almost daily. But today, I tap on Log in with my Tv provider and the app just spins endlessly. Rebooted my iPad and also restarted the app. Nothing, still stuck with that spinning wheel in the middle of the screen. Wish the YES app was still around. This app needs a lot of work. Tried to use the app on my iPhone and 2nd iPad. Same result.

30 Days Travel Rights Message. I missed multiple games in April and now 2 so far in May because the app is indicating “You reached the maximum 30 days travel rights when out of region. Please login when you are back in region”. This is on my home television. No traveling happening. In April, customer service refreshed and reset the app. I have not received a response yet regarding my last email. If it needs to be reset every month then put my information on your calendar and do it every month. Missing games I paid for is unacceptable.

Still a terrible app. I’ve been told over and over that the app will be fixed. Couch rights issues every month. I contact the app and get the same response “it’s a known issue we will fix it” 3 months later same issue. I have to ope the app hours before the game just to see if my service is cancelled because of couch rights. I only use the app in my home. Ironically they advertise you can watch from anywhere what a joke I can’t even watch from my own home.

Garbage App. Very spotty performance on Smart tv apps - glitches out for a second or two every minute or so. Cannot rewind action more than 30 seconds. Support said there was a problem on certain TV brands like LG but my other apps work fine, so it’s a poorly designed app. Ok on phone or tablet. Takes over a minute to boot up. When you update app you have to sign in again. Would move to another platform if at all possible

Terrible. I have no idea how this even has 4 stars. Ever since the switch from YES to Gotham it has been terrible. Game play is horrible, doesn’t register any of the game play actions. Customer support is useless. They arbitrarily added a points expiration date, then kept the requirement for at least $50 in rewards points to be able to redeem, even though customer support ensured points would not expire, they did and then they refused to reinstate the expired points. Constantly having to log back in to provider.

THIS APP IS THE BEST THING TO HAPPEN IN SPORTS. As I said in my title this app is the best thing to happen in sports, it’s perfect for watching all my favorite teams and has completely elevated the activity of watching sports. This might as well be the only sports streaming app in the world because it is 100% top tier. This app has truly immersed me in the world of athletics and I love it a lot. GO DEVILS

Useless App. Never worked. Period. Not once. I connected my cable provider, disconnected and reconnected, deleted and reinstalled the app, everything their "support" suggested. Although I kept getting emails telling me I had unlimited access, I remained locked out of everything and couldn't watch a single thing. It's bad enough we're forced into having this app because we can't watch our teams play, but then it doesn't even work. Thank goodness I used my cable provider instead of buying a subscription. I would have been totally ripped off.

Too glitchy to be $30/month. Using it to stream the Islanders games, the app used to work flawlessly but now i’m running into constant issues with the games backtracking and I have to bring it back to live, and transitions from commercials to the game feed have an unacceptable amount of delay, and it takes way too long for the games to load when you initially tune in. FIX IT.

The lagging is infuriating. The only way I can watch on my Apple TV is by holding my remote and every 2 minutes I need to pause so the I’m not watching in slo-mo with sound that is literally 5 seconds ahead of the video. I have no other choice but to use this trash, and the biggest problem is these same issue have been going on since launch and they just don’t care. Same issues then, and no one even gives you recommendations to try and fix it. The only Thing you can do is pause, then unpause every minute or two. Uggghhh grosss.

Needs major work.. I want to like the app but there’s so many times where it’s just useless smh. It’s doesn’t work well on the television, the audio is always ahead of the visual. So many times I’ve been watching the Yankees with 2 outs and somebody at bat only to hear Michael Kay calling the end of the inning and then hearing a commercial play while watching the player still batting… Works pretty good on the phone though.

AWFUL app. This review is for EVERY version of the app on every device, iPad, ATV, Firestick, etc. Pretty much everyone else has figured out live streaming but these guys. I have to reauthenticate every couple days, I get “Something has went wrong” multiple times per game and have to restart the app. During Yankee games have to close that stupid useless live stats window. Games freeze. Repetitive 5 commercials. Who would pay for this? An absolute brutal experience.

BARELY works anymore…. PLEASE get it together, Gotham team. Thousands of Yanks fans can’t even get the game to show, or let alone the app evening opening at all. The app literally just needs to do ONE thing in streaming the Yanks games, and they can’t even work. YES app was fine for the most part, Gotham has honestly just gotten progressively worse…just like everything else these days, charge more and deliver a lesser quality product. Please fix this by the regular season at the very least…bc I’m not paying for something that literally doesn’t work.

Terrible app. Legitimately one of the worst apps on the App Store. Subscription is EXTREMELY expensive, poor features (can’t rewind or watch replays), cluttered with ads despite the high subscription price, and buggy all get out. I subscribe to all of the streamers, and this is the only one where the stream crashes/freezes all the time. I have subscribed and cancelled three times now, because I want to watch Knicks/Yankees. But it is absolute hot garbage. Gotta find another option.

Rip off. Payed for a game pass for one Knicks game, 10$ for one game btw. Had an emergency and couldn’t keep watching it. When purchasing there is a disclaimer that states you get unlimited replays of the game for up to 72 hours. However after the game is finished you can’t find the game anywhere on the app or website it’s as if your purchase never happened. Then called support which are only available after 2pm and they pretty much told me to call by bank and dispute the charge. No resolution at all.
