Iodine content NOT accurate. I purchased this app based on the fact it offers mineral content, particularly iodine. I have to watch this strictly in my diet. Upon comparing the iodine content of multiple items it is obvious many are charted to low in the app. An example would be 1 oz of Nori seaweed contains 6x the amount of mcg then this app claims. Another 5 oz of wild salmon would be about 10x more mcg then app claims. I understand iodine is not something many track but those of us who have to track iodine it is detrimental to our health.
Very helpful. This app has saved me a lot of time calculating nutritional information. I bought the pro version because I needed the detailed information. It’s well worth it. I’m a diabetic & I love how I can change the serving size so I know exactly what amount fits my carb count I have a few suggestions for consideration: 1- Allow an option to change from ounces to cups, tablespoons & teaspoons 2-Add baking soda to the list
Food database is weak. Clearly European. Little to no low fat foods and no ability to add your own. Do not recommend
Disappointed. I wanted to find simple things like graham crackers and whole wheat bread. The simple things are not on this app. There are lots of foods on here but I’m not having much success with ordinary things. It’s a good thing that there is package labeling. Not thrilled with having to figure it out when I thought the app would have it. I’m back to net carbs as a rule of thumb. I liked learning the GL. That was helpful. Am I missing something like a GL calculator? That would improve this app. I want to love it and use it.
Essential. Excellent app. I was looking for something like this for a while. Any one serious about nutrition and health, should download. Looking forward to more content and updates.
Good !!!. I love it , so much information and huge database , so far I found any product that was looking for . Thank you very much for you job 👍🏻
Almost great. I gave this app four stars because it’s missing one key feature. It doesn’t let me create a “favorites list”. It would be cool if I could keep all the foods that I’ve looked up and like in one place, instead of having to write them down in a note pad. Then I would give it five stars!!!
outstanding. great interface support german just needs little more information
I am blown away!. As somebody who has diabetes, and wants to live a low glycemic life…this is essential. Being able to use a few more measures would be great, but sure, I can do some of the entries by weight. THANK YOU!
No Value to free version. Free version is so limited in what it allows I feel it’s worthless.
Great App!. Just needs more updated food choices.
This app has it all. I can’t believe I found all of the features of this app in one place. Thank you!
No way to add ingredients?. I like that recipes can be programmed in, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to add “unusual” ingredients and their nutritional data. For example, there are no listings for reduced-fat or fat-free Greek yogurt, which are very popular in the US.
Love the detailed information. I love this app! I needed to watch my iodine intake for my thyroid and this is the only app that I found that tracks iodine.
Need more info.. I was looking for an app that has MORE nutrient info. It was hard to tell on the app info page. We have to watch phosphor, potassium, and sodium. I am also looking for many more foods and brands. More information please!
Not worth it. Actually I would have to give it 0 star, not worth even $0. Cant find a lot of foods, dishes etc. next time I’ll just try free ones
Best I have found. This is a great app. I am a t2 diabetic and need good tables for carbs and glycemic load. This is very good. Loads of info, customizable and helpful. Easy to use. Thanks!
. It is pretty useless to me.. Does not have unusual ingredients like Maca Flour or Cassava flour to ass on my ingredients. It is pretty useless to me.
App is helpful planning ones diet.. The app will give a dizzying list of information about all the foods in its database. It allows one to create and evaluate recipes and evaluate the recipe based on all the information. Emphasis is on foods that could be ingredients in a recipe. I wish it allowed copying ones recipes and revising the copy. I wish that there was an Android version, too.
Color scheme. Typically on charts in my experience reds denote bad things. When I check a food and see all the reds I get an immediate negative opinion. I suggest that the app should only show reds on bad items.
Good App. I am primarily interested in glycemic load, and the app does a good job there. 5 stars will require some name brands to be listed in the database, in addition to the generic foods.
Lots of good info. This is one if the only apps around that give me all the nutritional data free of charge. Love it. It’s very customizable
Only General Foods and Not Brand Accurate. This app would be amazing, except it can’t be because the ingredients in the database are general ingredients and not brand specific. This will cause gross inaccuracies in any nutritional facts you are attempting to calculate. I tried to search a specific oat milk and they had one option only for all oat milks. There are at least 7 I can think of with vastly different nutritional facts. Which one is what they’re using on the app?? I have no idea how they choose what 1 oat milk nutritional facts they should use to cover the vast variety and nutritional contents out there. This app can only work if you know exactly which brand and only use the exact brand they are using for the 1 option per food database.
Making rescipes. This keeps adding ingredients from another recipe and when trying to add new ingredients. I just got this, I’ll start playing with it more and update.

Far superior to Foodie app. Far more intuitive than Foodie. Don't know why Foodie is up there and this app appears further down the list. Takes a little to understand the navigation i.e. a few minutes, as app can rank by whatever highest or lowest nutrient that you select but also then add other conditions like, I want high magnesium and calcium foods too. Its colour coded to show highest ingredient conditions in green, and low amount ones are not coloured at all, but I don't quite get the code for light yellow or pink. Is it a traffic light system? Otherwise, works really well, quickly and presents nicely too. I would like to see an option to select multiple categories i.e. foods I eat, added, as you can only select individual categories or 'All Foods' currently. I am a health conscious vegan, so I have select categories I would leave as default… and never want to see 'Alcohol', 'Snacks' etc.
I like this app. Lots of information and filters. I wonder if it’s possible to have a section where you can add foods together to make a meal and it will give you a total gi and gL for that meal. Eg:- rolled oats + honey + milk.
Elegant & intuitive interface but incomplete food list. Very good interface - extremely intuitive - but food list incomplete if it was improved and if able to be customised to different countries by reading barcode labels off foods and having certain foods added this would be an amazing app - the way its formatted is quite impressive. You can compensate for some missing foods by estimating a recipe or picking something similar from list. Even with its limitations its still quite good as a general guide. The sort of format others should emulate. That alone should be praised!

Awesome. Doc told me I was borderline diabetic (still on the low side thankfully) he recommended a low glycemic indeed diet. I downloaded every app I could find that was related to that, this is by far the best one of the 7 out 8 that I tried. It has everything you need to figure out what’s good to eat. And it’s not just for glycemic index or diabetic, you can change the parameters to prioritize whatever your interest is. If you want a diet to help with blood pressure you can prioritize for that. If you want one for keto you can do that, high protein/low protein.. cholesterol… you name it.. and it gives you all the nutritional info you could want as well… great job. My only complaint is that I wish there was a way to switch the measure amounts (especially in the “my recipes” section.) it’s not that big a deal but it would be a bit more convenient than having to calculate that.. other than that small beef it’s a wonderful app I think I only tried it for a day and they upgraded! Worth every penny
