OK for what it is. Given the generally poor quality expected of NPR affiliates, KUER's frustrating performance is almost bearable, though at times I have an impulse to throw my phone; like when I notice that the connection always begins with an advertisement (now routinely included in "non-commercial" programming) and that the ad always works, though often no program follows and I have to struggle to get what I came for. It's a demonstration of the pecking order of capitalism, with the best content on the bottom, poorly presented, the LDS station better presented but fraudulent, and pure commercial entertainment vacuously on technical top.

Love KUER. The best news and discourse out there!

Informative News on the Go. I love NPR. I love the solid mix of global and domestic politics, strange biology and philosophical questioning, and the weird guests they have on sometimes. The only problem, or so I thought, was that it was fixed to my car radio. Turns out they have an app! I mean, it’s not the cleanest looking of all apps and it takes a second to load the current radio, but the simplicity is comforting, and it does the job flawlessly. Thanks guys.

Great resource but a few bugs. I love using this app to listen to KUER any place However sometimes it repeats sections It is also inconsistent at playing she’s that have segments all the way through in on demand mode Still ech version is a bit better and I depend onnit

New is better!. Had the old / original version - abandoned it cuz it was spotty @ best. I revisited the app recently (just b4 latest version/look) Works VERY well both on or off wifi. Like the ability to choose news, music etc.

Only KRCL will do it for me. Listen to you guys 90% of the time. Have been since I moved here in 1979! So many great shows, especially 12:00 Women Who Rock and Sunday Bluegrass Express. I also love These 3 Songs. Only small request is that you try to play more Americana. The country stations aren’t doing it!

Fulfillment. I stopped listening to music after I downloaded this app. I keep it going 24/7 🙌

Refuses to Quit. This app is determined to keep on playing, ignoring attempts to use the pause button on my iPod Touch. After many frustrating battles, I have removed this app and gone back to using the NPR app, which is well behaved.

KUER on the go. Great app to stay in tune

Streaming skips/repeats. Appreciate having a KUER app and such a fine public radio station. The app's streaming function is unreliable, and often skips/rewinds on various wifi and cellular connections. Frustrating when it does so in the middle of a good story. Should be an easy fix.

Never Stops. Now that I have the app, I never have to stop listening. My car radio chooses to turn on and off whenever it wants. It’s very frustrating. I got the app so now I’m self reliant.

Like the content, not the app. I am a huge fan of NPR and KUER but I’m so annoyed that every time I push pause on this app I have to listen to a commercial in order to get it to play again.

Top Rate. This is a top rated app, especially for a beginner like me! I’ve heard some experts, say that it needs a little improvement, well, maybe for them, but not for a beginner. Great app, keep up the good work.

Love the new app. This app has an easy-user interface. The pictures and layout are neatly organized. The play features run great and are easy to locate. I also think that the connectivity between different shows and features is much better. It takes almost no effort to toggle between shows.

A Minor Triumph. Good, solid public radio app with the oomph of KUER content to back it up right...

Superb. It's a really good app keeps me I formed all day while I work super reliable best app I have ever gotten only downside is the member card tab in the app never loads so I can't find places near by but of your getting it just for listening great app

Easy to use. It's a great way to stream KUER anywhere, since their signal doesn't reach everywhere in the state yet. You can also listen to all programs on-demand.

HUGE upgrade from the old KUER app!. This app is a huge improvement, both for iPad and iPhone, over the last KUER app. Also, the Video West section has put those short films at my fingertips. I never saw those before because I'd never go to the KUER website. Now they are right here. Definitely recommend it for any public radio lover in Utah.

Bring your driveway moments inside. New Year’s Day I was trapped in the garage. The Studio 1A show had me entranced. I’d just returned from checking a friend’s home for signs of a break-in. But there I sat in the driver’s seat, car running, while meditating with show guest Jay Sherry. Finally, I made a break for it. I ran an inside, found & loaded app, then streamed It into my home speakers - barely skipping a beat! This lead to several wonderful hours with KUER while I checked-off my to-do list. Perfect!

My link to home. I am currently in Hangzhou, China. The KUER app has been the most reliable source I have for information from home. Even when internet here has fluctuated badly, the app just keeps on humming along.

Intelligence. Absolutely THEE most intelligent, respectful, equally represented talk radio station on the air in Utah and the country, from what I’ve found. I listen to other talk shows when there is a local or national issue at the moment and found the biased control of the “call filterers” is disheartening. I try time after time to sample those other programs but they have yet to NOT disgrace themselves. Keep it up please.

Decent app needs UI improvement.. I’ve been using the KUER app on my iPad and my iPhone for at least five years. Every day several times a day. There are reliability issues that come up once every two or three months. These can be everything from a crash to a simple failure to load. The other big issue is that, as noted below by many reviewers, the app itself is a bit messy and doesn’t follow many UI best practices for sophisticated mobile apps. So a bit of attention to underlying tech to correct the reliability problems and a complete redesign of the user interface to Simplify it, improve its appearance, and make Navigation more seamless is in order. That said, I also use the WNYC app Upon occasion and I find it even more difficult. The great content and ability to get to Radio West, local news stories, combined with Fresh Air, and the other big NPR shows makes the KUER app a must have for me.

A great way to listen to Radio West. I love Radio West. Sometime like a House of Cards addict I go on binges. This is a good way to catch up on past episodes on a long drive or while running around doing errands. Just getting started with the app but so far seems to work well

Hate radio west!!!!. Wow!! First you take over the 9am slot and ruin it forever; now you take over the 12pm slot and ruin my Friday lunch hour!! KUER will never get another dime from me! Shame on you!! This app is deleted!!

It works!. Browsing for shows is easy and quick; stream works almost perfectly.

Home away from home. I enjoy the stories and the reporting in general, but the commercials are super annoying. Due to an apparent issue with the app, I could not listen between Oct 28-30. During this time, the intro would play, along with another super annoying commercial like announcement but the content would not play. I was about to cancel my membership when it mysteriously started working again.

Excellent. I use this program to access the Classical music. I first listened to this station in the 60's when I was a UofU student and Gene Pack was there. Please keep up the great work.

Nice Consistent App Delivering Balanced News. I like it better than my local NPR App. Mostly because the intro commercials change. Back home they play the same donate your car commercial. You all are great

Glen. I work in a very remote part of Utah, in the oil field, at about 7500 feet. It takes me an hour each way to commute to my work area to and from home. I have adequate data so I download Radio West for my drive times. This works great and I don't miss any of my favorite programs as I am in and out of my vehicle frequently all day long with the exception of my drives.

I love getting KUER anywhere!. My home has very bad radio reception and it recently got worse, but the KUER app lets me listen to NPR anywhere in or out of my home, even when out walking my dog. Wonderful!

Saves the day. When I'm in the middle of something interesting but have to leave my car, I turn this on and I'm right back into the news! Love it.

Why is this app tracking me?. Why does it say "KUER - arrived at home" at the bottom of the screen that shows my open apps (home button doubletap) when I get home? Why is there an icon for the app in the lower left corner of my lock screen? What is this crap?? Aside from that weirdness, the recent update is nice. The app runs a lot more smoothly meow, and looks much less clunky.

Works fine but.... This app gets the job done, but I find it frustrating that I have to press play on a given story in order to see how long it is. Better labeling would be nice. When I click on a story to see the synopsis, there is NO time information. Visually, the app is really messy, it’s overstimulating.

Difficult app. NPR is a great network and resource with 5 stars. I rate the KUER app one star which I find detestable and frustrating, especially when I am transitioning from the car radio to my smartphone. The app ads take too long to reach the actual programming. On too many occasions I cannot get past the ad which locks in place. I then have two options, delete the app and down load it again from the app store or, switch to my Phoenix NPR app and listen to that station. I do not have a similar problem or delay with the Phoenix NPR app.

Yes!!!. Finally there is an app that let's me listen to KUER from my iPhone. I mainly use the live stream, but it's also cool to have access to news and other programs. The app seems super stable and the interface is easy to navigate.

love kuer, hate the app. If the application didn't buffer every 10 seconds I would love it. Don't know what it is about kuer or the app, but if it streamed well I would keep the app. Finally delegated it after struggling to listen to the radio through gaps of buffer time.

I heart KUER. I love this radio station! I've lived all over the country and this is my favorite local public radio station. The app makes it easy to listen.

This app is infuriating. It constantly freezes--always at the worst possible moment-- and then once it picks back up it's skipped ahead and you lose that past audio. Please fix!

Good. My only complaint is I can't read what an on demand story is about without it auto playing.

Excellent app. I have found this app to be very stable. I love being able to carry KUER on my pocket on the mornings when I do chores our small farm!

Constantly loses signal?. Worst app I've used. I thought with buffering this app would provide a reliable stream. However, this app is guaranteed to lose streaming within 5 min without fail. And, that's with 4 bars and a 4G connection. You're better off just streaming directly from the website.

Weak. This app forces reload too often when listening is interrupted. That means the listener has to listen to their promo bit every time. I find I don't use it as often as other public radio options.

Regularly and randomly just stops. Love the station, but the app stops left and right, simply going silent every few minutes. It doesn't do it as long as I keep the app in the foreground, but streaming while doing anything else makes it unreliable. This app worked just fine on my android phone but the apple version is problematic.

It works. Sadly it doesn't improve the content.

Flakey. The stream drops frequently and often repeats a few seconds. The volume is not adjustable and is much louder than other apps.

Love the new display. The new design is great. Easy to use and catch up on the latest news. Love watching VideoWest too.
