What a good app should be like. This is an interesting, informative look at the orchestra through the use of video, text, and audio. Highly recommended for lovers of classical orchestral music. Once again, Touch Press pulls out all the stops and creates an app well worth the price.

Terrific App and Learning Experience. The Orchestra breaks new ground, making the masterpieces of symphonic music available in new digital settings. It is a magnificent experience to hear Esa-Pekka Salonen comment on the music, see the score and hear the Philharmonia play. I can't wait for additional apps and updates. It's been well worth the cost of purchase.

Beautifully done!. The app is an accessible but beautiful introduction to the instruments and music of an orchestra. I particularly like that the principals provide an overview of their instruments, and they are the same musicians we see in the videos. So far the app is smooth and easy to use. Thank you!

Now one for jazz. This is a marvelous tool for helping a novis like me understand classical music performance. Thank you. Now I need to also learn about AMERICAN Classical Music (Jazz) in the same way. Imagine a similar construct with pieces from The great AMERICAN Jazz composers of the major periods. There is something about not only hearing music but seeing the people play the music as one reads the sheet music and listens to overlaid commentary that is remarkably EYE 😳 opening. This is a real breakthrough on my iPad Pro

Superb. Wonderful app, a lot of fun. Crisply designed allowing viewing score synchronized with video, and interesting facts and features about instruments as well. Very high quality and crisply presented. The commentary, however, is not as deep musicologically as one would like. This app is one of those that is actually more fun to play with than it seems, thanks to how well-made it is.

Fantastic and educational. Wonderful app for those who like classical music. Helps focus on individual instruments, has three different ways to relate the score to the music. Easy and not intimidating for non- instrument players.

This app validates the existence of the iPad.. Composer here, this app is fantastic. It's a revolution for anyone wanting to learn more about the orchestra. It's true - the full orchestra is a bit cryptic, as are the traditional means of learning more about it. "The Orchestra" answers all of the obvious questions, who what why etc. But the incredible parts are the visual tools, as well as being able to interact with the play head so seamlessly. What was that the flutes were doing there? Touch the measure and the playback is seamless. This is how orchestration should be taught. I am at a loss for further praise as my brain is exploding. Pleas,e please, please, expand the repertoire. Even if I have to buy and additional app. It's an unbelievable value, but I would love to have more. Brilliant execution. Bravo.

I got this App for my grandsons. ... forget the kids!! I LOVE this app! I am so excited to learn about each instrument that plays in this orchestra! Using the app is easy and gives way to exploration immediately. It is worth the $10 and I recommend it without reservation. Well done!

Marvelous. The ORCHESTRA app offers an overture to listening to an orchestra like no other. Follow the instrumental notation as you hear instrumentalists appear, and see how they navigate every crescendo and diminuendo. Help yourself distinguish the oboe from clarinet and bassoon, and marvel at the foundations the violins often play. You will come to appreciate each composer’s artistry and marvel at his / her orchestrations in ways mere listening doesn’t allow. This app is moves Musical Appreciation to a new level. I highly recommend it.

Magnificent and fascinating. One of the reasons to own an iPad. Beautiful and endlessly entertaining. I have most of the titles from the company that made this software and they’re all very wonderfully crafted, stable, rich, intriguing and more than worth the seeming pittance they cost. This particular title covers the development of symphonic music by a set of carefully chosen examples, giving you the opportunity to see how this beautiful art form has evolved over time, while also giving you a taste of some of the finest pieces ever recorded.

Game Changing!. This app and ipad can potentially change the way many people appreciate classical music! If only there is a better way to promote this app to the 'right audience' one can envisage there is a big market for app like this with Mozart's Requiem or Beethovan's symphonies!

Nice app. This app does a nice job of allowing you to follow songs with detail on the various instruments. The app was easy to navigate, haven't found any bugs thus far. The fidelity of the audio and video were both good on my iPad.

Gorgeous!. This is one of the best apps I have ever seen. I place this on the top of my list of MUST HAVE apps for both music enthusiasts and educators. I LOVE that you can see a tradition notation view or the graphic view so popular in other music creation apps like GarageBand and Logic. This makes the app so useful in a classroom situation for students who do not read standard notation. It also further legitimizes graphic notation in an educational environment, something I am a strong advocate of. The multiple video views of the orchestra and conductor are high quality and engaging. There is also TONS of information and video on the instruments of the orchestra. GREAT for high school & college composition or orchestration classes. The initial offerings of music selections is diverse in it's historical range. I can't wait for more selections. This app is worth every penny!

Great way to learn about the orchestra and instruments!. Overall, great app! While I love the section about all the instruments; I do think there could be MUCH better pieces of music to highlight the instruments, instead of just showing footage from the main pieces, but it works. The only other feature I really wanted, was to be able to turn on and off each instrument section's sound from the orchestra, and to be able to "highlight" an instrument by making it louder. It can be very hard to pick out each instrument and what it is adding otherwise.

Terrible app, disappointing. Bought to introduce homeschool students to the orchestra. When I got to the home page, I was dumbfounded that there were only about 6 classical songs featured and a short bit about the instruments. There was not even a way to listen to an instrument and identify it. It was a complete waste of money. I thought that it would serve better than a book, and I was wrong.

Great app. I only wish they would add a lot more music for me to listen and watch!

Phenomenal and well worth it. It's clearly a labor of love, with a terrific user interface and loads of content. Just beautifully done, and if you have any interest in composing orchestral music, it's fantastic. Yes, it's expensive compared to the usual 99 cent apps, but this one is worth it if you have an interest in the subject. Bravo!

Greatly enhances appreciation for the music. So far I have only explored the Salonen of the eight pieces, but being able to see at all times the 1) soloist, 2) conductor, and 3) the entire orchestra represented as light pulses where they are seated, with 4) various musicians playing highlighted parts in the fourth video box simultaneously with the curated score below and subtitled commentary from either conductor or soloist for the section being played, has greatly enhanced my understanding of and appreciation for this fantastic work. While unfortunately only two of the four movements are represented, this one piece alone was worth the price of the app. I just saw it performed in open rehearsal and will attend the concert tonight. This app really captured the experience.

BRILLIANT!. This is one of the most beautiful and useful APPs on the market for teachers, parents, students, classrooms and private lessons. There is no other APP that offers what is contained in The Orchestra. I recommend it to every musician and teacher I meet at conferences and those within my professional organizations!

Spectacular!. I rarely buy apps, and almost never if they are more than a few dollars. This amazing app is so worth its price! I am not a professional musician, although I do play clarinet, and love to watch a performance section by section to see and hear the different orchestral sound instrumentation. This app is beautifully arranged and so cleverly done that I am in awe every time I listen and watch. I wish there were more performances! Take a chance..if you love music, you won't be sorry

Music than you can listen and understand. That my first app for touch press. It really good way to understand music no just listen but also readying about it. This atop is price but have a lot of work on it. It not good you have to pay more for hear specific instrument in a song. They just did give the option if the space was the problem.

Please add more songs!. Please add more songs like the Nutcracker please!

Amazing insights. Thanks!tt

Amazing app. This is a great way to listen to classical music. I used to buy music scores to follow alone with the music. This app puts the score, the music, and the excitement of live performance together. Particularly notable is the violin concerto performance by Leila Josefowicz, written by the conductor himself. She is amazing, and it is fun to watch and listen; I worried at any moment she was going to break her violin with the wild movement of her bow. Please make a sequel to this app with even more music.

Perfect App!. I like this! It helps me to learn to conduct an orchestra!!!

Amazing for any fan of music. This app is truly one of my favorites. I highly recommend it for anyone that can appreciate classical music or always wanted to know how an orchestra works. If you can read music, it's a must have

Not working with iOS 12. When I select a piece the app closes.

Great App. It really got me into classical music. The different views of the orchestra, the beatmap, and especially the commentary by Esa-Pekka on each piece gave me a greater understanding for how the music comes together and how some of the pieces tell a story. For those wanting the app Esa-Pekka Salonen is using to compose in the ad the app is called "Notion". They have it in the Featured Section under Esa-Pekka Salonen.

Review of The Orchestra. This app brings the love and beauty of the orchestra with its variety of songs from very well known composers around. My grandma’s money has been well spent.

It is a great app.. Thank you for fixing the bug. It works great with all the features. Highly recommended.

Only 4-6 minutes?. Great app but can you tell me why don’t you didn’t put the entire pieces of the show.I want to listen more music about them.

Fantastic!. Wow. This is a fantastic app for anyone who enjoys classical music. I have been listening to some of these pieces for decades, and now I am learning all kinds of nuances thanks to this app. Hopefully more content (including full symphonies) will become available in the future.

One Of My Favorite Apps. This is an outstanding app, unmatched in its level of quality. It is equally engaging for our three-year-old as it is for the adults. This app has been in ongoing use in our family for over a year, and it's still a favorite. I can't recommend it highly enough. I hope to see more full orchestra versions by this same company.

Incredible - The Future of Classical Music Recordings!. This app is a revelation. I studied music and musicology in college, and I have to say that listening to these wonderful excerpts is an experience unlike any I have had with music. Being able to listen to one of these (brilliantly performed) classics with the music and being able to visualize how the orchestra is being used is remarkable. Thanks to this app and to Salonen, I have fallen even more deeply in love with the orchestra. I hope he makes more of these, and soon!

One of those incredible apps.... ...that keeps the iPad afloat. I certainly hope that the developers get their fair share of $$$ in the sale of these apps. This one is truly awesome, and totally worth the price. If you are a music educator or an aficionado of classical music, look no further for a wonderful introduction to the orchestra. I am especially fond of the score scrolling function, and the sound isolation feature. For those who are critical of the choice to include one of Maestro Salonen's own works, then perhaps you should experience the piece in the app. Not only is it an exciting work that represents music of today, it features an incredible violinist who COMPLETELY OWNS THE PIECE, like a rock star.

Outstanding Design. This app is a masterpiece of programming. All of the video and information is seamlessly integrated, and it is very smooth and easy to flip back and forth between the sections and instruments. It provides a great capsule summary of the instruments and the performers chosen to introduce them are excellent. Particularly enjoyed David Corkhill's sections. One of the best apps I have seen to date.

It's misleading. Unlike Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, this app does not give you good information or explanation about the orchestra or its raw material symphonic music: it merely displays some very well known symphonic work's special sections and Maestro Salonen's conducting. I have the highest admiration for Maestro Salonen and the musical selections are fine. But for $14 I need to learn more, not merely watch Salonen conduct, which I have done literally hundreds of times, being an Angelino. Where is the conducting grammar? Why did the composer juxtapose a passage next to another, and what does the instruments, tempo, beat, waving of the arms all mean? I hope the publisher adjusts direction to make this type of apps, entertaining, and educational. Classical music is eminently more enjoyable if the audience knows what is going on. Otherwise leading the blind men through a rose garden gives the only one dimension of the rose. A little description is always a great help for the music lover.

Worth the money. This app was amazing. I have nothing bad to say for this app

Excellent. I recently took my sons to see this orchestra and now, having this app adds an entirely new dimension to the understanding and appreciation of the concert experience. The app is very well done and provides many interactive ways to listen and learn about the music, instruments and the role of the conductor. Bravo!

Sublime. Yes, sublime is the word that comes to mind when seeing what this app is, this is one of the best iPad experiences you will have, really takes advantage of what this hardware and software can do, a very rich and pleasing experience is what this app offers in terms of form, the videos provided are of very adequate quality, specially given the fact that many will be streamed at once, then there's the UI which is engaging, simple and intuitive, not to mention eye candy. Then we move on to the content, which is just right for this sort of app, giving just enough to have a breif taste of each selected composer ranging from the very heart of classicism passing by romantism to neoclassicism. If you're wondering, it's very well worth the price, I am however hoping that this selection will grow, I honestly wouldn't mind getting a 128 Gb iPad to keep up with apps as well made as this one, and that CAN potentially get even richer. One last thing, if you think music born before you were is uninteresting, this app has NO top 10 songs of this week, either leave it alone, or try widening your horizon.

Add interactive musical scores to iTunes.. This is a brilliant App and will help any music fan have a greater appreciation for Classical music. Please keep using this format to make more apps for Jazz, Beatles, etc, etc... Or just have Apple fully integrate this technology into iTunes and allow us to purchase the interactive score for any music we buy for an additional fee. Musical scores with the most amount of Pre-Orders could be added to iTunes first.

Flawless Execution. I could not have asked for a better designed app. This thing really has everything; and as a classical music lover and modern day composer / producer I find the feature set so inspiring and enjoyable.

Simply Fantastic!. For years I've looked for an app that played a symphony while it tracked the score, even crudely. This one does it beautifully. You can split screen and watch both the score and the orchestra or just watch one or the other. There are lots of additional visual goodies like the orchestra seating charts that twinkles as various sections play. Mega kudos to Touch Press. I hope they keep more symphonies coming. Beethoven's 7th would be my personal suggestion - the entire symphony.

Buggy. When you select a piece it closes

Pretty good. For classical music fans/musicians this app is pretty nice. I think it would make a nice $5 app. My main issue is that it is just too darn big. I had to dump a bunch of files just to wedge it onto my 64gig iPad. My suggestion to the developers would be to dump the orchestra video. Aspiring conductors probably want to see his conducting technique, but the rest of us mainly want watch the score in sync with the audio.

It has been very nice. It’s very nice and easy to use and has a great design and description of all the orchestra’s instruments. It has a variety of almost if not perfect music that I don’t usually hear if never get to hear. It’s pretty much perfect.

Absolutely gorgeous (even if only short excerpts). For the last 18 months I've dreamed of someone making an orchestral score app for iPad, synchronized with a recording. I am overjoyed that this has now happened! The app is absolutely gorgeous. You can switch between condensed score and full score. It's not dumbed down, but it's still accessible to non-experts. This is the way it should be done. Bravo. The only thing to be aware of is that it does not include the full pieces mentioned in the description, but only 4-6 minute excerpts. On the other hand, you get a good breadth of styles from different times. I hope that eventually entire symphonies will become available in this beautiful medium of score + performance + commentary.

Are you kidding?. Sorting orchestral instruments as alphabetical order in score??? Are you kidding? Why do you spoil an already-great app? Can't believe this happend.

Yes and No..... While this app is a very enlightening thing indeed for people who know little about the orchestra, it could go further to explain the orchestra. It is very nice however to see interest in orchestral music in the world again. I'd love to nitpick but this app is actually pretty cool. I wouldn't recommend it for any music student, but as an introductory course in the orchestra it succeeds! However, Salonen including himself among great composers is my bone of contention. If the classical world wants to increase it's interest among the millennial generation by making an iPad app, they need to stop shoving atonal drivel down our throats, and dethrone these atonal charlatans who have driven classical music's popularity into the ground since Schönberg.

Two steps from utter perfection. Step One: As suggested elsewhere, expand app to encompass all music ever written. (Once you've experience music like this, you'll realize what you've been missing all your life.) Step Two (and a bit more down-to-earth): enable us to route the sound via AirPlay. (If there's a way to do that now, the method is so obscure as to be invisible.) If it cannot be implemented because, for example, it's impossible for a developer to route sound but not picture, Apple needs to remove that limitation. If the developer has simply failed to provide it, that would make it a Level Two design bug, and it needs to be addressed. People should not have to trail 15 foot cables across their living rooms from iPad to A/V receiver to use iPad apps. (Still five stars because I don't know whose fault it is and because the app is so good that it's worth five stars even with a 15 foot cord.)

So good!. The only disadvantage is there are only 6 pieces: a bit of a bummer because it is such a good app. But it only has 6 pieces. Can there be more?

Brilliant. Just another jewel in the crown of TouchPress.

Stunning. This is an an incredible introduction to the "secrets" of how an orchestra fits together. A great opportunity for anyone interested in knowing more, especially upper primary and high school kids. The app enables engagement from a variety of angles enabling individuals to seek the knowledge in their own way. Highly recommended.

Brilliant !. Very well made with excellent quality video, music and info. Worth every cent.

Awesome!. Brilliant app that has everything! Excellent audio, videos and information. Like an all-in-one multimedia textbook. Classy interface! Love it!

Love it. This is by far the most used app I have on my iPad, but I do wish more content would be added in the near future. My iPad's storage sure isn't complaining..

Excellent!. An amazing app. Thank you!

Disappointing. What a pity. Quite expensive and rather than getting the full symphonies or pieces you only get short excerpts! What are you thinking? Surely the whole point is that you get to see the score for entire pieces? I feel ripped off. You should make it clear in your literature that you are only supplying, what, 30 minutes of music total?

Please fix the problem of this app. I just updated to the newest version, but I can't open this app on my iPad mini 2 now, please fix this problem as soon as possible, thank you.

Beautiful.. This is such a beautiful and incredible app. Thank you to all involved. Such detail and quality. Perfect for music students and orchestra lovers. Buy this app it is worth every penny. Please bring out more.

One Word. Fantastic.. What a brilliant designed app. To see the score of the music being played and video in real time with the ability to zoom in on a video just amazing. Also being able to click on a instrument to get info and have a video play of the instrument is fantastic. Love to be able to see more videos and scores. Worth every penny, if not more.

Great. I am really surprised by the production value that goes into the production. From in-sync music note to camera work on each instrument to commentaries, this is really reinventing how classical music can be experienced. It definitely helped me to develop new appreciations for composers, conductors and musicians. I think a comprehensive timeline of periods, important composers and pieces would further enhance the educational value of the app and also make this app a portal to other related apps. One complaint I have is for the price of other apps in the series. As an amateur, I can't justify to pay $14 for a sonata or sonnets once I experienced an entire orchestra for that price.

Well executed. There is not a great deal of content here, which is surprising given the 2 gb size. There are extracts from 8 works. The extracts are brief, about 6 minutes each. But it is impressive. As the piece plays you can turn on and off commentaries and follow the score or choose a camera angle. The reviewer who complained about the in app purchase was unfair. The play alone feature is not essential to the app and besides it only costs a buck to unlock all. The down side to the app is it makes you want so much more. I want a full piece of music done the way of the excerpt. That is now available for Beethoven's ninth by the same developer.

👌. 🎼🎻

The Best Educational App I Have Seen. The care that was put into this app is astounding. In addition to the unique way of experiencing classical pieces, there is so much for kids and adults too learn in the instruments section. My child now can pick out the sounds of each instrument in the orchestra and knows how each one makes its sounds. The videos musicians talking about each instrument are passionate and share just the right amount of detail. And the 3D models really give kids a sense of what each instrument is like.

Latest update breaks Solo Audio. This update breaks Solo Audio in-app purchase. The app will prompt iTunes login, but does nothing afterward. Solo Audio doesn’t work anymore.

Really not worth the price. And they ask you to pay more to see the details for the pieces other than the Beethoven. Also, they are not complete. For Beethoven's 5th, they only provide the last movement.

Rip off. The app already costs 13.99. It contains 8 orchestral pieces, but in only one can you control hearing a particular instrument playing at a particular time. In the 7 other pieces you need to make an in-app purchase to activate this feature. A RIP OFF

Mike. This is an amazing App that is guaranteed to be useful for any music educator. Clearly, a great deal of work and care has gone in to developing this App. Hopefully they will continue to add to the musical selections.

Disappointed with content. Given the size of the app and the price one pays for it, I was shocked that only excerpts from each piece were included. I was hoping for more than just the second movement of Beethoven 5, more than just the exposition of Mahler 6. However, I like that users can see how the piece is conducted, and can listen in to individual sections at a time. It would be nice if the latter feature was built upon so that one could listen to individual parts, rather than sections; for example, listening to only the bassoons instead of the entire woodwind section.

Excellent and Informative. High Quality App. This app does have a higher price than your standard apps however this is a VERY High Quality App. Very informative and interesting material . There was obviously a lot of time, effort and money put into producing this app. I look forward to trying other Touch Press apps. Note there is a small in app purchase you need to make ( only a dollar) to get the full experience and I highly recommend you buy it.

Not worth it. At CAD13.00 I expect more.

Awesome Learning Tool. This is a great way to learn about orchestral instruments, track the score as it's played and really get a feel for how the songs are put together. There's a $0.99 in-app purchase which unlocks the ability to hear individual instruments by themselves while playing the pieces. To correct the other reviewer: This one in-app purchase unlocks ALL the songs. I suspect this was implemented this way since iTunes has a 2GB size limit, with the $0.99 covers the additional bandwidth cost to download the extra 600 or so megabytes of the individual tracks.

love it!. Finally support chinese!A great app!Hoping for more chinese support of other apps from this company!

Not as advertised. This app is not what is shown to us in the trailer. The trailer show Esa creating music using a mixer to create and alter notes on the page. This app is not that at all. Is only lets you watch videos along with the pre installed music compositions and want you to buy more. The video trailer is completely misleading. I want my money back.

Miss Leading!!!. This is just educational app. You can not create music with app!! Wasted 10 dollars.

Nothing exciting. This app is good for the classical music collector, but for the price I was charged it really doesn't do anything for a non classical music afficianado.

Misleading. Only 4 minutes of each piece are included. These pieces are usually 30-40 minutes each and these excerpts are so short I was disappointed how quickly I was done with them all.

Bill. I have been trying to download paid update for about two hours. Waste of time!

Misleading.. The commercial for this app, and this app, have nothing to do with one another. Not pleased.

Instant Hall of Fame app. Great tool for teaching kids the relationship between different instruments within the orchestra.

App is misleading. Save your money. Buy a good Beethoven album.

Phenomenal. This is amazing! This app gives you a multi-sensory experience through music. It dazzles the senses. I want more...much more. By far the best app I've purchased. Worth every penny.

Truly incredible!. Very slick app. Creative in its explanation of the orchestra sections, instruments and the music selections. In my youth I played in bands and orchestras, but not for a long time. This brought me back. Worth the price and highly recommended.

Don't Get This.. I love messing around on instruments and finding what sounds good together and what doesn't. I thought this would be an app where you could do that. However, this is nothing like the commercial or like the screenshots for the app. Very misleading and a waste of $10.

Made my 4 year old an instrument afficianado. After seeing some of the videos on YouTube, we bought this app for my 4 year old son. He plays with it all the time, and has learned a lot about all the instruments and about music appreciation. I think this is the start of a long love affair with music. My only complaint is that I'd like more and longer pieces.

Awesome. Completely worth the money.

Very good for my class. I was hoping to be able to write music

Great App!. If you want to compose learn theory and get the notation app! This is the real deal!

Great app. Great app but please expand the selection.

Please add support for traditional Chinese alphabet. If this feature is not planned, please, at least, display simplified Chinese alphabet while language setting of ipad is set to traditional Chinese. Thanks in advance!

Groundbreaking! Brings orchestra to the masses!. This app is truly special - perhaps the best educational app in the store. It accomplishes its quixotic ambition to dissemble the complex web of the orchestra performing a symphony. EVERY fan of music will enjoy this. It takes famous scores and offers each part to you in real time, scrolling sheet music with a red indicators to exactly mark the notes being played. For more modern musicians who have gotten used to the piano roll, midi note mapping they can follow along in that manner. Perhaps the best feature is the 'curated' part selection where the most interesting instrument group in each section of music are compiled together to provide an astounding, under-the-hood view of the action. The rest of the parts are available by simply tapping the 'Full Score' button. The result is spectacular! The bad part - you'll see some household favorite symphonies such as Beethoven's Fifth and Stravinsky's Firebird except they're not the movements the pieces are famous for. Yes it's the Fifth but it's not the first movement. Sure it's the Firebird but its not the Finale. Perhaps those more recognizable scores lack the fire or complexity to best demonstrate the app's mojo but given the audience, it's probably a mistake to not put forward the most popular and iconic 'hits'. Also, the red indicator bar doesn't always nail the spot correctly. In the Debussy piece it's passing noticeable ahead of the actual score position. That will undoubtedly be adjusted in an update. These complaints are absolutely minor when measured against the genius of the app itself. IMHO, this is a landmark app that brings a nearly inscrutable art form to the masses in a manner that is truly rare while demonstrating the genius of the iPad in a way few others can. Kudo's to the creators!

Orchestra. Waste of money. Completely misleading lead on. Want my money back.

Awesome. Yes, it is pricey, but I've always wanted an app or a documentary about intricacies of different instruments and orchestras, so this fits the bill quite well. A very unique, informative and visually pleasing app...

Orchestra. Absolutely wonderful ! Any one that has even the slightest interest in Orchestra music , the instruments , etc. will learn so much! A must have for the budding musician of the classics as well. 10 stars !

Exactly as advertised!. Fantastic app. A great way to "lift the hood" of an orchestra and follow along, solo groups and really learn and/or deepen your knowledge of an orchestra. Whatever level of musical knowledge you have, it meets you right there. Congratulations on a great app!

Not like the commercial. I saw the tv commercial for the app and was lead to believe this was an app for creating music, like what the conductor was shown using in the commercial. Instead, it's just an educational app to learn about instruments. Was so disappointed. Kind of feels like false advertising with how the commercial was done.

What a rip off!!. When I paid for this app I was assuming I would be getting recordings of full pieces. Instead I ended up with 6 minute excerpts. Very disappointed.

An amazing tool and app. This is a wonderful app and has much to offer to educate children and even adults about our music in our schools.

Phenomenal. Worth every penny and byte. What a great app for lovers of serious music. Love it. More apps like this, please!

Excellent. Excellent app. I only wish I could extract the the instrument samples to use in other music apps.

Absolutely state-of-the-art in app design. This app is an astonishing example of how technology can utterly transform a musical experience. Utterly brilliant.

Doesn't install correctly. At this price-point the installation should be flawless. After "installing" for two days , I deleted the app and tried to reinstall it. No dice. Total waste of money.

Not what was on the commercial. I was very disappointed in that it did not allow composing music as the commercial showed. DO NOT BUY if you want to write music.

Outstanding!. I hope that additional music will be available for the app either as an update or in-app purchase. I would love to see Holst or Tchikovsky covered by this format.

Awesome!. This app is fantastic. I hope they will offer additional works to purchase in future!

Best app in the App Store!. This is what the iPad was made for! Worth $100, but you get it at a great discount! :)

Not misleading, read the description!. Who buys an app for $10 without reading anything about it? This is a great educational app for exploring classical music and the orchestra, as even the title would indicate, and never claims to be a music writing app. The commercial is for Apple and iPad, not a commercial for this app!

Bravo. This is a must buy for serious musicians and people just curious about orchestras. Great demonstrations, explanations, videos and view points. This is one of the highest quality apps I've come across. Well done.

I made the same mistake. I thought this was the app on the commercial, but it isn't, you can't write music on this one the app I was looking for is notion I want a refund!

Just great. Get it!

Excellent. Touchpress is the most innovative app developer out there. Orchestra's use of the medium is superb. The presentation of information is deep and engaging. The navigation breaks new ground - intuitive, fun, and smart. Highly recommend.

Very brief selections of the orchestral works. I was expecting more than four or five minutes of each symphony. The app would be ***** if it delivered more than a short taste of the works. Where's the rest of the performances?

Beautiful, love it. Glad there aren't more apps like this, I'd be broke in a week

Fantastic and educational. Wonderful app for those who like classical music. Helps focus on individual instruments, has three different ways to relate the score to the music. Easy and not intimidating for non- instrument players.
