ChargeHub EV Charge Point Map Comments & Reviews 2024

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

The best of the charging apps. We tried a few different apps on a recent trip and this is by far the most up to date and accurate guide to available charging stations.

The most comprehensive charging map. Far superior to plugshare if you want to find fast charging/ level 3 stations. Includes stations in both the USA and Canada.

Good station map but worthless for saved trips. I am not sure what the saved trip facility is for. You cannot add any station waypoints to the route, so no planning is possible. The helps screens show what looks like an entirely different app and icons that do not exist.

Great. This app is better than the others because it actually shows plugs that are not visible on the other maps

Not as accurate as I had hoped. I am a relatively new EV owner, but it didn’t take me long to discover this isn’t as accurate as PlugShare. I work in a medical academic community and I know where the stations are. This app had three mistakes on my medical campus alone, one of them in the parking garage where I’ve parked my car for years...there are no stations. The app also indicates there is a charging station located on a university lot also on our campus, but...no such lot exists. The app’s alert feature is nice—if I could expand the range beyond 1 mile using the slider. The slider was immovable. ChargeHub has potential, but I’ll be sticking with the current EV app I’m using.

App is a money saver. I love this app. I was so scared when I bought my new car because of chargers I thought would be free but this app can filter free only, plug types etc. turns out I have free chargers 7 minutes from my house and job so I charge them while I’m doing nothing

He must have when you own a electric vehicle. This is by far the greatest addition to owning electric vehicle. Especially when you have to travel. It makes it very easy to get a charge

The way to go. Charge hub is the best because it locates all chargers, not just certain companies. It’s also easy to look at any area quickly, so much easier than locating in my car’s function.

Chargers. The app helps you locate the charger stations; that’s all. The app didn’t let me use the amount I added for the charger station fees. It only works to add money but doesn’t let you do anything else. Don’t add money to it. I hope I can get my money back.

The must have app for EV road trippers. This is the one app that shows you all options for fast charging while attempting a road trip. The Tesla is an iPhone and a closed ecosystem but for all the rest of us early adopters it is still the wild wild west out there and ChargeHub helps look for options while surfing a nascent electric highway. Thank you ChargeHub!!

The best EV charging site. It’s easy to filter based on charger type amd whether it’s occupied. I have used several charge site apps amd a friend showed me this one and I love it. It seems to have more locations amd it’s easy to filter. I found the very high voltage fast chargers here amd I had not located any with other apps.

Useless app. This app is useless. Literally, every single location marked as public is private. Places marked as free are paid. Such a waste of time. This is basically a free for all app. Anyone can put down whatever info they what and there’s no admin checking on the accuracy of the information. Stay away.

Very useful. Very useful app to find a level 3 DC charger or just any charger. And it will give you directions to the charger you select if you select one on your route.

Great app in need of small tweaks. I find this up to be much more comprehensive than PlugShare. However, it really needs to make the charging stations power levels easier to find.

Worst Charging Experience. While at Disney the app doesn’t state which chargers are working. 3 were broken, 1 had a jeep gas Powered car parked in the spot. 2 cars were able to charge but kept their cars there for the 4 hours we We’re having drinks and dinner. Finally (with 14 miles left on battery) we found a tesla charger 2 miles away. We got the last spot with 3 cars waiting- since the multiple Disney spots that are part of charge point were only half working. Get it together Disney and CP or please Disney find another reliable vendor.

The most important app on my phone. I drive cross country 2-3 times a year, and this is easily the best charging app I’ve used. It’s user friendly, and the trip planner is a life saver. The fact that it it doesn’t collect user data is also greatly appreciated. I wish more apps were like that.

It’s aight. Needs some more work. Hope they take it seriously and keep developing features and accuracy as PlugShare is now owned by EVgo and not independent; this is the last unbiased app.

Essential EV charging app. I don’t write reviews but it is a bit ridiculous how PlugShare is the recommended number one app everywhere you look online. I was surprised to read recommendations for PlugShare over and over and I’ve been playing around to see what the hype is about. It’s ok. But just inaccurate and incomplete compared to this app. This is the best I’ve found and it really is perfect thus far. I can’t help but feel I’m missing something with PlugShare, but regardless, this is the one to download.

Up to the minute status. Where charging stations are located is only a third of the battle. Connectors AND are they working is more important. Way too many ZOMBIE chargers out there.

Frustrated. There are no charging stations on the map. Icons galore but no charging station and no explanation of what the icons mean. I have searched every button on the site to find any charging station other than my own. Nothing shows but a satellite map with no charging stations. In addition the map to plan the trip would not allow me to put the street name with the city. The street name alone is not accurate.

Finally. Most comprehensive app for EV users yet. Combines all networks into one easy to use interface. Still some bugs(crashed a couple of times on me), but highly recommended.

Best overall tool to find chargers. So far this is the best tool that I’ve found to find chargers across diffferent networks

Shows more stations than other apps. I’ve downloaded seven different charge station located apps and this one is by far the most thorough. The other apps only show a select few even with filters turned off. I’m keeping this one.

Not very comprehensive. The information on the app is not up-to-date. I have submitted updates and I don’t see the information updated on the app. I was looking for a charger nearby a restaurant and the closest available according to the app was 20 minutes walk. I decided to skip the walk and charge some other time. When I pulled into the parking lot near the restaurant, I found charging right there.

It makes it easy to find working chargers. Taking a 1000 mile round trip in California using this network allowed us to plan multiple locations to charge on our route. We could search only for available high speed chargers, reserve a spot ( though never necessary), and know that a particular charger was having trouble. Armed with the latter information we could call customer service to reboot the charger while we were 10 miles away vs waiting at a charger for 30 min.

Up to date. It’s been very helpful to see all of the charging options available on a particular route.

Good App. One of the better aggregators of chargers available. App is a bit glitchy when you try & select a location. Good info, mostly accurate.

Good, but cannot add funds. In a general sense the app functions well and has a reasonable amount of accurate detail on chargers and availability. Unfortunately I cannot add funds no matter how many times I try, which means I really can’t use the app. There isn’t much of a point to using the app if I can’t initiate charging and payment. Every time I try to add funds the app just stalls out and never processes the payment.

My go-to app for locating EV chargers. I rely on Charge Hub to find charging stations when I travel. It has most of the chargers around but I have found a few that are not listed. It is missing at least one network (juice box/excel) in its list but seems to have most of the common ones. ABRP which runs in my truck nav system is not as comprehensive and flexible.

Use before you buy. I’ve been wanting an electric vehicle for a while now. I always get the myth of charging stations this app proved I could get home and I could set my own route.

Almost perfect. While I love the metric system, most Americans are still quicker with imperial measurements. If we could get a toggle that allows us to switch back and forth, that would be awesome. The app is ok at giving both, occasionally, but that’s not consistent and can be confusing. A toggle to allow us to switch between systems would be amazing.

Can’t adjust waypoints and can’t daisy chain multiple trips. See title. You can’t drag the suggested routes to make new, better waypoints (e.g., can’t make the route planner keep you from going over the grapevine when traveling from NorCal or SoCal). Ok, no biggie — just make several trips that take you down the coast, right? WRONG. Creating a new trip erases the content from any other trips you’ve created. I’m so lucky I double checked the app before taking off, because two of the three trips I created were empty. That would have been so terrible to discover mid-drive. I can’t say this app has any real use without these basic trip planning features. Ergo, one star.

Best app for finding chargers. Not only can you easily use this app to find chargers, you can also use it to plan trips with your charging locations on the way. All of the points have information on what kind/how many chargers are available, as well as the cost. So useful!

Why I like your app.. Recent EV owner trying to get a handle on charging outside the home. Too many options not sure what way to go. Will continue to monitor through this app.

New to Electric Vehicles. I first searched on the internet as to where I can charge my vehicle. I am a first time electric vehicle owner so this is all new to me. When I discovered ChargeHub it was amazing because all I did was put in an address and searched for stations that were nearby to where I would be for that day. I set up an account and was able to add my own dollar amount to charge from, I encounter only one issue with this app and it’s finding “true stations” which are part of their program so I can use the funds in my account but other than that it’s a great app. I would recommend it to everyone.

A good start to a navigation app - buggy.. I have a few gripes: you plan a route and then you can't tap the floppy disk to save the planned trip. You have to kill the app and start over. And then saved trips can't be deleted nor modified. A popup opens asking if you'd like this feature added. Really?

Charge point stations not on the map. Sitting at a charge point station in Gilroy California. Couldn’t use the app to pay and had to pay with Apple Pay as this station and many others not listed…what’s up with that. No matter how I work the filters it just is invisible

Engaged developer working to connect ev community. The app has good bones and UI but has some bugs that the developer has been fixing in a decent lead time. This app helps connect you to private chargers at peoples homes if you are not near public chargers which helps until the chargers scale out.

Availabilty Seems to be Inaccurate. In researching routes practically every station shows no availability. But when I actually show up there is plenty of open chargers. The feature is worse than useless.

Good customer service. Called customer service when the port was down, and he walked me through it with the app! Also told them when the other port is down and he is going to report it to get fixed!

Excellent application. It is a must application for EV owners. Information is accurate but it need update from users to help each other

Travel. Got to have it. Works well for those going up and down the state.

Off to the side hiding spot. Nice, it’s mostly shaded. Car dealers make me feel a little uncomfortable when I sit in my car. If I go in the dealership they constantly ask ‘if I need help’. I guess I should sit in the waiting room for car repairs I’m really just enjoying the sun & my audiobook while my car charges.

Comprehensive. I didn’t like ChargeHub before but now it’s way more comprehensive than PlugShare that I used to use.

App crashes on vehicle selection. We are on a Volkswagen and couldn’t get past the vehicle selection feature in the app. When we tried to use search it kept selecting the first vehicle (an Acura) and when you skip search and scroll to the bottom and top on the car it crashes. Also, there’s no way to select custom charge port types, for instance if you have a TeslaTap adapter and can use Tesla destination chargers. Skipping the vehicle selection, the map worked okay, but it wanted my location all the time which is shady. I only want to give you my location when I’m actively using it. And I couldn’t see status on third party chargers, so not sure it does anything useful that PlugShare doesn’t - and they have a lot of checkins that are useful!

Charging stations. The app will show you all charging station but will not show you where the station is located. Such floor in the garage. Major issue is some of the charging stations are in apt garage which you can’t access because you are not a resident. Please list all public station. I don’t care about charging stations I can not access. Pointless. Charging stations everywhere but you can’t access it. Try EVgo better app more descriptive locations.

Excellent for finding charging stations. Very well put together app to find and review charging stations. The more the users contribute, the more useful it becomes

We update FREQUENTLY to FREAK you out. The developer is proud to say they keep making errors with the app and have a new one for you and for those of us in rural areas not having real broadband, FREQUENT UPDATES ARE A PAIN. It’s almost as if a car dealership says “you need to bring your ICE vehicle back each week so we can install new and better spark plugs in your engine.” STOP THE FREAK”went” UPDATES.

Charge Hub. It is so fun to use Charge Hub to locate all the chargers in an area you are frequenting. I love finding new charging stations. It is so empowering. It is like a new game for me. Thank you for your great service.

Not good.. This app is fine as a map to find charging stations. However, there are plenty of other apps with this feature. The major issues I had were that I couldn’t add funds to my account and once I finally did I could never start a charging session. It took my several tries to add fund to my account, I had to set up a new account without using Apple to login to finally get it to work. Then, I couldn’t activate charging sessions through ChargePoint, which is the only provider I have been able to find in my area this far. The one time I got a session to start through ChargePoint it stopped charging immediately (after waiting almost a full minute for the session to start). Ended up requesting a refund as you have to pre-load money on your card. Would recommend using first party apps at your charging station.

Instructions insufficient. Once the account was set up, there were no instructions on how to use the charging station

Useful, but could be improved a little. I’d give it 5 stars if the information about charging stations were kept up-to-date more than it is (it’s decent but have had a few surprises). I’d love if the availability status were also automatically updated, but I’m not sure if that’s possible from the station providers’ publicly.

Fantastic. Used for a road trip and found chargers that weren’t even advertised. Great app and very detailed.

Suite à la mise à jour. Ne fonctionne pas ou très très lent

EV charge app works well. So far Im enjoying using the app. I will try and submit info on chargers and add photos and with time as more people use the app it will become more helpful.

The one-stop charging app EV drivers need!. I love ChargeHub! It’s Canadian-made, they are constantly improving the interface/user experience and they recently added a passport allowing you to pay from the app, getting one-step closer to a one-stop shop for EV charging, which in my opinion is much needed as the number of different apps and payment methods makes charging unnecessarily complicated. Keep up the great work!

Hello. Inaccurate info regarding charging stations. Busy when appearing free

ChargeHub app. Provides a map view of all types of chargers available, plus you can drill down for the details on how many are in use. Easy to use.

Can’t add funds. This app has let me down when I needed to charge. Keeps giving me an error message.

Great app.. Great app. Easy to use. Great info

Unable to save trip. This would be excellent for planning trips but I keep getting an error message preventing g me from saving a trip.

1800km trip. Perfect.. Drove our BMW i3s 94ah from Toronto to Halifax. This app was the only one that showed us a way. Others had large gaps in NB or showed us chargers in locked Dealer lots. It’s my go to for finding charging stations.

Bad. Payment process does not work properly

Don’t fall for it. Put money in, now can neither get the money out nor can I charge my car anywhere with this app.

One of the best EV app but…. In the Apple Car Play, the nearby charging locations are always empty or fail to load while other EV app can display without problem.

Application fantastique. Robert Talbot.

Great!!! But…. Love the app to bits! Looks and feels nice but, there are a lot of plugs missing that are on other apps already. I do understand it will get better with time though. Continue le beau travail ChargeHub!

They are not replying to my messages?. I had accidentally put $ into the wrong electric vehicle app and I am asking for a refund but no one has got back to me and it’s been 3 days, the app states I get a reply within 40 mins?

Great app but…. Using this app in a hurry to pay for charging. They don’t on an *service fee* to start up the charge without warning before loading up. I hate surprise fees. Around 1.50 I think which is a significant percentage. Will not be using them to start a charge in the future obviously

Up to date information. I have 3 charge location apps and ChargeHub is the best as it has most up to date info on stations. It’s my go-to app. Thanks for being reliable.

Ev or not too Ev ?. Very interested in purchasing an ev! Always Looking , Thanks,

Great App. Even though you can pay for everything making it an all in one app for EVs it will help you find every charging station that exists and thank you to the Devs for creating such an app. You can even filter to show only the free chargers!! I mean😀 what more do you need?

Password probs. App won’t recognize me despite having registered and gives me no help in what to do — no phone number, email or text connection — nothing. Sticking with Flo.

Fix your app. Latest version is so buggy And the free station filter filters out stations that are free for certain period. Include those Also when reporting bad stations there is no effect. Still shows up

Notifications Stopped Working. Notifications about ports being available suddenly stopped working.

notifications not working. notifications are so inconsistent it makes this app usless. i have never gone 2 weeks where the notification work flawlessly

The best. This is a very complete map of charge points

Review. This app is somewhat helpful. The accuracy needs to be improved in these regards: some charging stations are listed as public when they are not, charger availability is not correct, chargers that are not in service should be noted. Amperage of the chargers would be nice to see before going to a location.

Très fonctionnel. J’aime beaucoup

En route. C’est parfait comme App. Facile et sans souci!!

Too slow!. The charger is too slow-3 Kwh, come on! My home charger is faster at 6Kwh.

Trying to compete which Chargehub. Good start but needs to be better to achieve the aim of one app for all charge networks aim. Current issues: 1. Needs to work off line. Data connection can be costly, poor or not available. 2. Need to partner with more networks to facilitate payment from one app at least with Ivy, flo, Petro Canada and Electrify Canada. 3. Accounts should not be needed to be pre loaded with funds. They should be tied to credit and or debit cards. 4. Payments should also be possible wirelessly via Apple or Google Pay.

Lots of extra charges. I used ChargeHub app for the first time this month only to find out after that adding $ to your account costs an extra $5 to do so. I added $20 three times so charged an extra $15 ($5 per transaction). I didn’t know until I got my credit card bill.

Will be great, hopefully soon. Great app for finding stations. Great having the ability to pay for sessions via the app, which reduces how many other different apps where I need to load funds. It missing history, I want to quickly see where I have used the app to initial and pay for sessions.

Shocked at the cost. I saw 2 new charging stations in Park Royal South which couldn’t be started with Flo or Chargepoint so I phoned the number Shell had on the charger and a person explained how to download the ChargeHub app and told me I had to add $10 to use it. I followed his instructions. I now see MasterCard charged me $5 as a cash advance and interest on the cash advance. Shell has coded their app as cash advances and not electric vehicle charging so I will never use their chargers again. This is a very expensive way to charge a car. Flo and Chargepoint only cost the $$$ amount you put on their cards, no cash advance charges and interest.

Best EV charging app in usa & Canada. The only app you need to find stations and pay with a single account on many networks.

Update?. The app keeps telling me there is an update but when I go to the App Store. There is no update in the App Store.

It shouldn’t be so hard.. You would think that an app that purports to help you find a charging station would have something that says “find a station” after you enter where you are. Obscurity is not a virtue.

App keeps crashing. Every time I try to save a trip on my iPhone, the app crashes and doesn’t let me save. And my phone software is up to date and it’s a 13 pro.

Excellent. I use this app a lot. Very easy to navigate and specify criteria.

Beautiful UI, but missing stations. I’ll start with the good - this app is beautiful and looks like an app Apple would make for EV owners. Unfortunately it just doesn’t have as many charging stations as other apps like PlugShare.

Great Info. Great info on what provider has the ev Charger and what it costs! Super helpful.

Another reason to not go electric yet. Great app, shows clearly the absence of plentiful adequate charging infrastructure throughout my travels, thanks.

Essential app. Keeps updated list of local charging stations. Invaluable!

My go to. Use this app every time I go on a long drive…good to know what’s around!

Can’t even get started. Could not figure out how to use it, e.g., find stations with my connectors, until I left a one-star review. Then the response couldn’t get my name right, but I was able to set the filters.

Free electricity? No more gas!!. Excellent station at a reputable dealer. Right off the highway!

Does not work. Does not show charging stations even though they are along the route, Useless.

A must have. Easily the best EV charger finding app of them all.

Good. For finding charging stations.

Gained nothing. What is the point? Did not effectively map trip locate stations or provide alternate routes with stations what is the actual point ?

completely useless. We literally ran out of charge using the information on this app. It directed us to station after station which was actually LOCKED UP, not available 24 hours as it said on the app.

Glitchy and inaccurate. Fairly good for charger locations, but frequently find that chargers are broken, inoperative, etc. plus recently seems glitchy in that I try to filter OUTTesla chargers, but when I select the charger, or actually go to the charger, it's a Tesla charger. It's ok, but in the Northeast US at least, not too dependable.

Wild Goose Chase. Last year I used this app to great success. However I was just sent to 2 places that had no chargers visible. One just a dirt lot. It’s far worse than useless.

Good resource — good app. A fine app for EV owners that travel a bit.

Cant update and cant save route. Updates are alright, only if you can save them and save routes. Give some thought to agríalo testing

Filters. I like that I can search for free DC fast chargers.

Best App Ever. Shows all of the chargers. Easy to use.

Need prices. Locations are easy enough to find, but not cost per kWh.

Frustrated. The app has filtering but doesn’t work. When I filter for only DC fast the map still shows mostly level 2 chargers. I have to open each one and select Details to learn what kind it is.

Charger. This is a great app for charging locations

Not helpful. These maps/guides are not useful unless they indicate charge points available to the general public

Very Good App. Very good app. I love having the ability to change the filters to the type you need.

Thanks good service. Thanks for good care

More charging stations. Shows more chargers than Charge Point as it shows Tesla and free level 2 J1772

Completeness. I appreciate the completeness of the data available. I also like the reviews provided by users.

Can’t set Vehicle. I logged in with my AppleID then edited my profile. It saved my name but when I go to select my vehicle type the app crashes.

First time users😀. We are in Rockland Maine with our new car,

The best. The best app to see. Charging location thanks ❤️

Map view. Please allow a trip map view to include only the selected stations.

Finally!. One stop shopping for charging!

Great tool. Helps to plan my trip

Useful!. I just got a Chevy Bolt and this is so useful on a trip!

Super user-friendly. This is my first go at it.

Who’s community?. Community is full of posts from other countries, nothing near me. Pointless…

Good first time use. Used app for my first ever EV rental to find charging stations in Riverside, Maryland. Worked well.

Love how all the different chargers are there. Great app and it has all the different brands of charger not just Tesla, etc.

Useful app for finding EV charging stations. App works well; very useful.

Great. This app makes me horny as you know what. Don’t know why

Great for finding stations, but buggy. Good for finding stations nearby. Crashes when I try to add my car.

Profile. Can’t set units of measurements to miles. Keeps reverting back to KM & miles. Can’t set vehicle to Tesla model Y. Reverts to something else. Chargers sometimes doesn’t show up on the map.

Horrible. Didn’t charge my car. I disconnected and it’s still charging me an hour later. Spent the past hour trying to get someone in the phone. Save yourself the trouble and download ChargePoint, which this is NOT (as I’ve now discovered). So misleading. Dry Creek Inn in Healdsburg, CA.

Very good informative. Simple to understand

Filter broken?. From what I can tell, the filters don’t work. I tried to see only Level 3 non-Tesla charger but it continued to show me everything even though the filter setting stuck. Your app is of zero use to me if I can use this filter.

Great app!. If you own an EV or PHEV you must have this app!

App is useful but it keeps crashing. This app is excellent for planning trips. But it keeps crashing which makes it frustrating.

Crashes on my iOS 9 iPod!. 0 stars if I could set that! Old version was fine. This one falsely claimed to be compatible with my iPod. Please fix this for us older iPod users. We can't update to a newer version of iOS.
