Amir Nekounam. The dictionary is really good. However there are major problems with German pronunciations! There are many wrong pronunciations! For instance, the pronunciation of "leben" and "lieben" is the same, which is completely wrong and even native German speakers have confirmed it to be wrong!!! Since I payed 90$ for this app, I expect "Langenscheidt" to fix all the wrong pronunciations in a major update! For a language learner, pronunciations are really important.

Doesn't "talk". Incomplete app. Pronunciations in English but not in German. Good dictionary but much too pricey without the pronunciation feature.

German Entries Have No Audio. There is no audio pronunciation for the German entries - only the English entries have audio. The description in the iTunes Store is misleading. I am very upset since other dictionaries are available with German audio at a much lower cost. I have asked for a refund.

Absolutely dissatisfied. I’m totally dissatisfied with app because of the following reasons, First of of all I believe using their website is much better and the point is you’ll get more content and It’s free so it is not worth it to pay 86$ for this Second, it would be much better to put German-German definitions also in the app .I believe an app with this price must be much more to offer than this I demand full refund if possible ...this app is way far from what I thought it is .

Great App. First, this is the best German <-> English dictionary, period. However, to be perfect, it needs something more: 1. Put correct German pronunciations (the current pronunciations are OK human ones, however sometimes incorrect or questionable; I refer mostly to the long "e" pronunciation, as in "leben" - listen for youself and see if it is acceptable). 2. Include IPA phonetic transcription for German words. 3. Include conjugations of German verbs. 4. Improve the search accounting for potentially missplled words 5. Improve the search to include various word forms.

Expert, but lacks German pronunciation.. For content alone, this app deserves a five star rating. However as a first year student of German and a native English speaker, I need a source for pronunciation of the standard High German dialect. This is the dialect of taught in school. The advanced content will not be fully usable until I've studied several more years. I bought this based on the fact that my wife has the app and it has the pronunciation feature. I hope this feature is returned to the app.

CAG. I have the Langenscheidt German <-> English Talking Dictionary (Expert) on my iPad. It is an excellent dictionary, with one serious flaw. I recently upgraded to the latest version (3.56.541), and discovered to my dismay that the pronunciation guide for German words was absent from this version. It was present only for English words; but since I am a native English speaker, it is the German pronunciation guide that I need. I hope that this omission was inadvertent, and that it will be corrected soon with another upgrade. I use this dictionary a lot, and have relied heavily on the German pronunciation guide that was present in the older version.
