Samsung try to do more! We are in 2016!!!!!. I don't understand why I can't watch how much energy it consumes at the moment or summary per day, week, month or why there is no option to set up timer with specific wind etc.!!! By the way- why set up of own specific wind is missing some important options like speed fan, quiet mood or time when should be air con off. You can now only switch it on and off. That is ridiculously for thing for 2000 eur!!!! Can you create update of app that you can REALLY call SMART? Thank you very much

Owner. Bought Whisper air conditioner with wifi module but not working with my iPhone 5. After setup the apps goes directly to demo mode. Please fix.

Not working since upgrading to iOS 8. In previous version of iOS this app is working perfectly. Having problems with the app since upgrading to iOS 8. It always defaults to the demo unit.

Not allows to connect on wifi. This app used to work for me until I changed the internet provider and they gave me the wifi name with characters that this app doesn’t allow. Please fix that includes /.- and others characters on the wifi setting so I can connect again.

stucked in demo play ios8. Was working ok installed on IOS8 and it is always in demo play even in Home or remote

Completely useless. This app is completely functionally free. It does not work and is a waste of time to download and a waste of your iDevice memory.

Great App but missing to swith off the display. It's a great App to control the Air Conditioned, but I am missing in the App the option to switch off the display to not to have it all night long lighting my face. For the rest it works great.

Display off please.... What's the point of using the app to manage everything and then have to walk to the remote again for turn off the display light. Lol it doesn't make sense don't you think?

Not recognized, useless. The iPhone can log onto the aircon's network in pairing mode, but the app doesn't ever recognize it. From the system message it seems the app is looking for a different network name than the aircon sends out. Pretty stupid programming. I'll return all three aircons I bought because the Wi-Fi function is not useable

App crashes. When I bought the unit a few years ago the app worked fine. Now 2023 it crashes and the two authentication txt phone message sometimes is not received.

Does not work in iOS 8. While the app works (in iOS 7), the UI is slow. The actual control UI for the a/c units looks pretty good (although quite slow), but the initial start screen is just ugly. Aside from that, the app insists on searching for new/additional a/c units every time it displays the list of the configured units. I have three of these in the house and I am not adding new units so frequently that I need to check every day. Even with the recent update, the app is still broken in iOS 8.

Please fix. I bought 6 of these AC's because of there programmable features specifically the scheduling. To my surprise the scheduling doesn't work. Samsung please fix the issue

Needs to be better. Not very friendly. It works at home with Wi-Fi but doesn't work while away. The password requirement each time you sign in while away is a nuisance. Definitely needs to get better and smarter.

Works Pretty Well. Yes it is a bit fiddly to set up to start with but it does work well. This version lets me log in out of home and at home with Wi-Fi. Great for checking the kids rooms at night and adjusting without getting out of bed. The power usage reading is also interesting to look at. Cool app.

Crashing. The App is continually crashing including after reinstalling. It is currently not connecting to my Samsung AC.

Just got worse. What happened here? Who is responsible for overseeing improvements to this app? That person needs to find a new job. This update is best described and a downgrade. How hard can it be to have an app that I can sign into without all the extra security rubbish that this version requires. Big business not overseeing the small things it seems. Don’t bother

really slow. really slow and shouldn’t have to log in every time the worst app ever

Requires frequent rebooting. Loses all the airconditioners on the network, forcing a reboot of my phone, which then magically finds them. (As in, they are still on the network, but something in the app fails to connect to them). Also very slow even when connecting.

Easy enough to setup. Read a lot of reviews about how it doesn't work. Easy enough to setup if you read instructions and works great while I am at home. Haven't had a chance to try and use whilst not at home. Functionality seems fine and haven't had any issues or problems so far

App needs updating. Fix the app please

Issues. I had this working for years then upgraded to the iPhone XS Max it stopped working then would work sometimes then completely stopped working both in and out of house. I managed to reconfigure everything and get in house working - out would never work. Called up Samsung support troubleshooting they sent off the request to level 2 support. Today I tried it and it managed to work! If you have troubles log a call it’s annoying but you might get this sorted. I do wish they’d stop the captcha so so annoying I hate it.

App is temperamental. Since upgrading to iPhone Xs, I often find that the app cannot locate any A/C’s and despite refreshing the page, I have to resort to turning the phone off and on, and reopen the app before it will find the A/C’s. It never happened with previous models of iPhone, I can only think it’s a software issue, it is annoying and putting me off recommending Samsung A/C’s to anyone else. Please fix it!

Slow at home, forget about it out of home. It’s ok to use it when at home, just a bit slow. However, just don’t bother if you are trying to connect out of home, cannot even register the MAC number via the smart appliance website! Samsung please redesign the app and entire registration procedure!

Connection complex but it works. Separate manual for connecting A/C to the network and software - unnecessarily complex but now that it works it’s all good - software interface looks a bit dated but it’s functional

Wifi connection. I cannot begin to tell how much I loathe the stability of this app when used to control my air conditioner. It's a convoluted setup & then it can't find the air conditioner & suggests that I need to check the power cord, even though the unit is running. Then it suggests that I'm not connected to my modem, which I am. There is no downloadable support information for the wifi connection on the Samsung site. Only sales literature & an exceptionally complicated way of sending Samsung an email, I'm very dissatisfied with this control method, which lets down an otherwise brilliant air conditioner.

Terrible and stopped me buying another Samsung. This app was never the best but now it crashes when connecting when away from home. This happens both my iPhone and my iPad I’ll look for a different brand for my next AC

What a joke - Samsung can surely do better. Unresponsive and sluggish app, Keeps crashing when I try to use the out-of-home function. Works with in-home mode but takes ages to connect to the A/C. It’s rather amazing that with all the smart devices Samsung makes they still can’t get a functioning app on the market.

App is hopelessly outdated. This app is so old. It needs a big update. No facial recognition for user and password. Captcha in an app?? Come on. Out of home doesn’t always work. Come on Samsung, one of the biggest electronic companies, this app is a joke Needs to be quicker and easier

Fix your app!. The app has been slow and buggy ever since release. I have just noticed that it won’t find my unit when in-home, when I try out of home, it tries to login then crashes. My ‘smart’ aircon is now dumb. Good work Samsung.

You’re kidding me, right?. Despite being a useful app. my plea to make sign in easier has resulted in having to sign in with captcha. Not much chance of turning the a/c on while driving home. In what world should my a/c be far more secure than my bank account? Congratulations Samsung, now listen to your customers.......

OH WHERE TO BEGIN?? USELESS APP!!. Paid over $4000 for a few Samsung smart air cons to be installed so I could operate them away from home. Once installed they are great air cons if you don't need wifi functionally. But we do right? So the app works on wifi fine. (In home mode) Which is useless because it's quicker to grab the remote off the wall and set it that way. So here's were the App is BROKEN!! Out of home mode simply does not work. Might connect to the aircon 1 out of 7 times but then crashes with errors when you try to control them. I get all sorts of errors like: air cons not registered, clearly they are. Other network related error messages also come up. Yes I've tried rebooting, new modems, new router new setup. Still crashes. FIX THIS APP PLEASE BEFORE I THROW THE AIRCONS OFF THE SYDNEY HARBOUR BRIDGE!!

Remote doesn’t work. This app and the remote use of it doesn’t work anymore. I’ve tried so many times. I’d have to think twice before buying anther Samsung air conditioner.

Apps totally stop working. For few years , I’ve been enjoying the convenience of Smart Aircon Apps. then suddenly it just stop working on my 3 units. Called Samsung a few times but did not get any support. No more Samsung brand for us, time to switch to brands with full support.

Not for modern phones. Used to work on my old iPhone 8, but with the iPhone 13 it just crashes after logging in

DOES NOT WORK OUTSIDE HOME. Does not work outside home, Contacted Samsung support spending lot time with them and finally, Samsung said they have issues!!! And can not fix it ??!!

Total rubbish. This app USED TO work in home and away until one day it decided to boot me out after successful authentication. I stupidly reinstalled it which never fixed the app crash away from home and now I can’t add the aircon back in-home either. As soon as I power on the unit to ‘authenticate’ I immediately get a ‘network connection is poor’ error. I now can’t control my aircon at all and with Samsung showing absolutely no care or concern it will be doomed. I used to be a Samsung fan boy but will definitely look into other brands in the future.

Great AirCon shame about the wifi. Unable to set up wifi with iPhone 6 Someone said it will not work with IOS8 and I guess I concur. Air conditioner is perfect, communication from Samsung is just not up to scratch. Even now you can read here in the spec for this Ap that all is A OK for the iPhone, “hello IOS8 is on the iPhone” just say you are doing an update for IOS8…please!

Garbage. This app was buggy to begin with. Now it just crashes every time I try to use it. iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 15.1. Rather than waiting for this app to be fixed at some stage in the distant future, I have resorted to investing on Sensibo Sky controllers. I’d give this app negative 5 stars if I could.

Fix this app!. This app is badly written, slow and difficult to use! I am very disappointed. This app seems like just a proof of concept. It can be so much better! It is difficult to set up aircons, they need to be re-authenticated often and it is so slow. As it is now, it is a poor example of home automation and to integrate with true home automation, it needs to be updated and an API made available. It does not even integrate with Smartthings which is Samsungs home automation platform. Dissappointing!

Really difficult to use. This app is so difficult to use, I can’t believe Samsung would put its name to such a poorly designed app!

Do not buy a Samsung airco just for this feature!. I bought a Samsung because I wanted to be able to control it from anywhere. I thought being able to turn it on when I'm 30 mins from home would be awesome. After nearly 4 hours of trying to set it up its still not working. I followed the manual to the letter. First mistake. I called the Samsung 'help' line. Second mistake. Knew less than I did. Finally got the home app working. It takes over my wireless connection when I use it. No Internet browsing possible while the remote app is on. Seriously? It's a waste. Absolute joke Samsung.

Timer not working with update. Since the last update the timer function is not working. When trying to set the timer an error message comes up stating "reservation failed" Have restarted the unit and the app, and even the wifi. All other functions work. Please fix.

FIX TIMER ISSUE IN APP. I have figured out that it is not the app that causes the timer settings not to work/save/reserve etc....turn off your air con completely from the main isolator/switch and then turn it back on...once this is done all timer functions within app will work ....

Wifi still won't connect!!!. Am VERY disappointed! Have just had the new Samsung smart air split system with wifi installed.....after 5 phone calls later the wifi is still unable to be connected and had been told I'd be charged a call out fee for them to come out...I don't think so!!! So for a company who's products I'd buy over anybody else is diminishing very quickly, and your technical support is ALOT to be desired

Good, but needs work. The functionality of the app is great, works well (a bit slow, but it is only a air conditioner after all) My problems with it are mainly with the out of home mode, Samsung make you have a long password, then you need to re enter it everytime you open the app. I am not sure why they are so worried about somebody getting my pass coded phone and turning my aircon on, but having it automatically log in with password would be great. When you are out of home it always warns you that you will be charged for data. A simple "don't remind me about this again" box would be good. The power usage graph is brilliant, can't say how good it is to have that built in. It would be good if the scale either changed automatically or manually. At the moment my graph is a flat line at the bottom with the first increment at 10kwh. For a aircon that uses 800wh, that scale is useless.

Tough to set-up, but still pretty cool. The average user will struggle to set it up, you need connect your iPhone to the aircon via wi-fi then MANUALLY type in your SSID, your authentication key (WEP/WPA/WPA 2), encryption protocol (TKIP or AES) and password. Then the app passes these details to the aircon and your good to go. This is great, but it does not let you do anything above-and-beyond the standard remote control. To really take advantage of the wi-fi you want to be able to control the aircon out of the house. To do this you need to sign up to a web applet, which I have not been able to access, as every time I try I get the message 'web service failure error'. In summary, its a cool party trick to be able to show people you can use your phone to turn on your aircon, but the app definitely needs some work.

Good looks. Average implementation. - update - out of home access used to remember my password. After the last update I have to enter it every time. Please fix. The controller itself looks good - when you actually get there. Having to choose inside house or outside house when you login is a bit old-fashioned. Why can't it just work it out? It's quite slow to get to the actual controller function and when you do change a setting you have to wait for it to get to the unit before you can do another one - which is even more painful when using the outside connection.

New app please. Works occasionally... runs very slow. Constantly getting kicked out. Ask for password every time with extra security (it’s aircon, not my bank account). Some features don’t work at all. Out of date app that needs a full redesign

Good functionality, poor design. I've used several wifi climate control systems and this has to be the slowest... Why do I have to choose in home/out of home? It should be able to tell. Why do I have to enter my password every time when I'm out of home? My phone is secure, even if it wasn't then what's the worst they can do? Why does it have to make a call back to the AC for every single change? It's very slow even at home...temperature change...wait...mode change...wait...fan speed...wait. It's crazy, why not just do it in the background or delay it? Nest, Mitsubishi Wifi and Tado have none of these issues, please fix it.

WiFi Connectivity Failed to Authenticate Device. The method to connect the Samsung Smart Aircon to my WiFi network was relatively easy. However after the AP settings was update, connecting to the actual aircon itself using the iPhone app failed time and time as it would not show the device Authentication process. Luckily I have another Samsung device. I repeated the process of setting up the aircon wirelessly and authenticated the aircon using the Samsung device. The iPhone app is now able to connect successfully to the aircon, however the aircon itself loses connectivity to my WiFi network every 3-4 days, if I use both the standard remote and the iPhone App to operate the aircon.

OUT OF HOME FIXED!! But no iPhone 5 optimised app.... Loving my new air conditioner. I did have the same problem like most people have been having regarding the out of home feature, I'm pleased to say its now fixed and should work :) I'm giving this app 4 stars because it fails to deliver an optimised iPhone 5 version. When Samsung updates the app I will be mostly likely inclined to change it to 5 stars.

Waste of time. Worst app ever it never works

Crashes during setup. The app is so 2010.. it crashes on new iPhones even though I am able to connect to the ac unit. The app won’t let me register any of my units. The Samsung SmartThings has no support for the model and there is no way to use the smart wifi enabled unit. It’s just dumb wall mounted unit.

Can’t get it to work out of home. It would be amazing to get this working out of home but it won’t accept codes - just says not found after already finding it. Frustrating!

Barely works!. Sadly, most features of the app don't work. I cannot set timers or check usage logs. I haven't been able to find any English-language support for this app. Shocking.

DOES NOT WORK- don't waste your time!!!. I have contracted a professional IT specialist ($280 AUD) to trouble shoot the connectivity issue since updating all my Apple devices to IOS8 etc. 2x iPhone 4s, 2x iPhone 5 and an iPad are still not able to connect to Smart AC. The modem router has been reset and is able to connect to the AC wifi unit. But the app will not connect regardless of any security or encryption settings including full OPEN. This app does not work. Not happy... MANY hours spent on my own and the added cost of a specialist is really upsetting. It's been too long now for the app developers to rectify this issue.

Only works for me in the house. The in-house features work, but the online access causes the app to crash every time. I am using an iPhone with the latest OS.
