Fun.. This is just an all around great little pass-time app. My niece loves playing with this app while we wait for just about anything. From on the ferry, to long drives that can last for hours, se loves this thing! I even find myself playing with it even when I have things I should be doing! Haha. Truly a well rounded entertainment app. Love it

Fun for all :). I'm a teenager and I have to say I love this app. Yes I know it's for little kids but the drawing tools are just awesome and unique! The mirror mode is a huge plus especially for bad drawers like me. The clean, simple, and unique UI really makes this app worth downloading. Hopefully the next update will have more colors and a landscape mode for the iPhone. 😃

Amazing, but crashes. I love this app because it has a ton of really cool features. But after the update, I can't access my loaded pictures anymore. It also looks like my old saved pictures were deleted. I also miss the triangle/geometric brush because it was my favorite. Please bring it back. Other than that, this app is my favorite drawing app. 😀

Very nice.. It's not just a normal drawing app,it's better! There's only one thing wrong, when I try to post my drawing in the contest , it says my account has been banned. I don't understand why. I only have posted one picture..can you fix this problem? I really would like to continue posting my creative drawings

WORST.. I paid FOUR DOLLARS and didn't even get the full version. You have to pay another dollar. DO NOT BUY unless you want to pay FIVE FREAKING DOLLARS for a stupid drawing app.

Glitches. Ok so I got on the game and I press draw so I do my artwork I put the letters on and I didn’t even touch anything and the letters were upside down and then the screen was blank then it went to my home screen

Nice drawing app. Nice app, my daughter loves it. The painting tools are incredibly well-designed, it makes this app much more easier for the kids to use than the other ones from iTunes Store. So glad to see my little girl having fun with it. Two bucks seems quite a reasonable price. Worth a recommendation.

My favorite drawing app. I’m 70 and enjoy using this app like a kid. All the other apps have so many bells and whistles. This is perfect for a quick sketch.

.... I love drawing on this app, it's fun and all but PLEASE remove the option to download someone else's drawing and use it as a sticker. People have been stealing each other's artwork, and are even stealing mine. Also, please make another tab of the drawing Carl contest and please put "My Drawings" because I'd like to see how many votes my drawings have had instead of searching for them. Please and thank you

4 stars. A very great app! Has great features and writing tools for the whole experience! Great for anyone who dreams for art! I love the Drawing With Carl contest! :-) There is one concern about this. Every time I want to load something that I recently made, I can never get to it! Once I exit to my home screen, Drawing With Carl resets! Help me please! I need an update! :-( Besides all the crashing and a few glitches, this app is very loveable, and you should get it for whomever you are. It suits all ages!

Please update. Ok I admit it I am not a kid but I love this app, but it really needs a freshen up for the new operating systems. I am so afraid with every update that I will lose it. Please—— I will pay :)

It's ok, needs fixes/additions. Just downloaded this for my 5 & 6 yr olds. Immediately after starting, both asked where the 'eraser' was to erase unwanted marks. We have not found an eraser and think it does not exist. Please add one! Also not easy for kids toile shapes, such a circles. Need to add tools so kids can easy select a shape (think 'tux paint,' which is AWESOME!). Kids wanted to make perfect snowmen but were disappointed by their shapes and quickly gave up. Not sure how I feel about this yet but initial opinion isn't positive. Maybe would be better with some tweaks...

Meh. I know this game is for kids, but there is no small brushes, no fill button where you can color large areas, and no small eraser. I’m actually really upset right now, because all of my earlier drawings and custom colors got deleted. I made some drawings that I was really proud of. But, really, I’m just listing the bad things. This game is actually really high-tech but surprisingly understandable for the little kids that use it.

Great app for kids!!!!!!👍. I only think this app is ok. I think you should unlock every thing when you buy the app. I spent .99 on the app that I thought was going to unlock all of the stickers, but it didn't. That was a little disappointing, but other wise I really like the app. I think it is great that some of the stickers speak to you. I think this app is very entertaining for kids!!! I love it.

Great functionality! But where is purple?. I've never thought of myself as artistic, but this app makes drawing very rewarding. It's cute, lots of image/design choices, and it allows export. I got this on free day but it's totally worth paying for. However I'm unsure why color choices are limited - such as the lack of purple. Otherwise great! Thanks :-)

Please update this app!. This has always been my favorite art app but it hasn’t been updated in a while and now has lots of problems. Please update the app!

Buggy. This app was pretty good for a while for my daughter to play with (age 5) but now it gets stuck all the time. The tools become inactive or won't appear. Can't save or use any functionality. It's crappy. Running on an iPad 4th generation.

Super fun!. This game is the best game ever!! It's so entertaining and for anyone who doesn't have it yet I suggest you get it!! One problem. I'm confused on the patterns when I color on one spot, it makes the pattern somewhere else.. I don't know if it's just me but I would like it fixed please!! Other than that AWESOME drawing game!!!!!!!!!

Really fun drawing app. This is wonderful, but I do not understand why there are features in the Lite version that are advertised as being in the paid one which are not there when you look for them.... Where is the Monster Pack with all the face-part stickers? Also cannot find the eraser in. The full version... We draw with both but would prefer for all features to be in one place once you've paid for it.

impressed. I'm a sketcher and doodler and have tried quite a few apps. this app is awesome! the limited undo's and chunky eraser could be improved but the wonderful pattern fill, stamp painting and mirroring are so well done. my favorite part is actually the calligraphy style pen and marker. they flow and look just right, better that the pricier apps on here. my only requests are for the eraser to have width options, shaped fills/lines so you can make clean squares stars and circles, plus more undos.

Very Creative. There is so much that you can do with this app. You are only limited by what you can imagine. My 5year old son loves to use this drawing app on a daily basis. I'm amazed at what he is able to create using the drawing tools and different options available. I would recommend this to anyone who has kids.

Great, but.... This is a great app for kids of all ages. My two young children have tons of fun with drawing and playing with the "talking" Carl monster. My teenage sister also loves to draw with it. However, we are all annoyed by the constant crashes. Please, please, please update this app and fix this issue! As another reviewer said, a bucket/fill feature would be a great addition (after the crash issue is fixed)! Thanks!

How to work around only 1 drawing bug. If you paid for the full ap but when you click new drawing it says you have free version and need to upgrade for another dollar, here's the workaround: - instead of new, select reload - you will now see a thumbnail of your drawing, and a page with a + - click the plus to make a new drawing I've made more than 10 with this method.

Purchased full app, only got the free version. I purchased the full, paid version of this app for $3.99. After opening the app, it gives me a message that says, "Free Version: Please upgrade to create more than 10 drawings." However, I cannot even advance past one drawing. I contacted the developer twice and never heard a response. Waste of money. Do not purchase. Would like a refund or somehow have the problem rectified.

Drawing Carl. It was ok until the fill in line turned into a dotted line. Now it is super hard to use. I also don't like how the two skinniest lines under pencil look like crayon, just give crayon a new section completely! I prefer a solid line. Also,would it be possible to change import picture back? I don't want import back round I want import picture. However I do like the new form of eraser, and thanks for giving me all those stickers to choose from!

Great drawing app, can’t save pictures. App crashes when you attempt to save any pictures. So as long as you don’t want to save any of your kids art, this is the way to go.

Gorgeous....... Wow! I was pleasantly surprised when I opened up Drawing with Carl. Why do you say this is for kids? Are you kidding? I'm in my mid-50's and am having a blast with this app. So many colors and so many stamps, etc. to pick from. This is def. for kids aged 5-100. I think the devs'. wording is going to be a deterrent for anyone who really thinks this app is JUST for kids. IMHO, you ought to take that out. Anyway, I love it so far! 😍

No so worth $2. The drawing app is really good and all but loves to crash when you save or edit a picture inserted into the game

Awesome, but.... This app is really awesome, but I paid four dollars for this app and they say I have the free version. I have to pay another dollar to add more drawings, which I do not think is necessary for four dollars. Please fix this.

Fun for all!. Fun for adults and handy when kids want to play something on your phone. Maybe if we could message it straight from the app? Now, you have to save it first to your photo library, which I don't mind doing anyway because I save most of them.

Drawing with Carl. Drawing with Carl an amazing app. It allows you to do way more than anyone would think. I showed this app to my mother and she loved it. We were designing a look for my dining room and my painter used drawing with Carl to make sketches. She wanted to know if we could print the design she made. Drawing with Carl is an amazing app. You know what it's not just an app it's a way of life. Drawing with Carl is the write way of life.

We LOVE Carl!. So much fun, sweet & funny for the little ones! Although we do really miss Laser Draw with Carl, we would love it if that came back….

Cannot change color ☹. Hi! This app is really great and fun to use. I LOVE it, but there's just one problem. When ever I try to draw something, no colors are there for me to select. I can only use red, and there is still no line of colors. I can pick the brushes I use, but not the colors. I don't have full version. P.S good job fixing the marker bug!

TEDIOS!!!. I love drawing Carl ALOT.....but it always "shuts down" if you will. It goes back to the home screen after a minute and I have to click back on the game. It is a simple task but can get VERY tedious. If you could fix that in your next update that would be AWESOME. For those who are thinking of getting this game I recommend getting it but I don't know if it will work for you. I don't have an updated IPad but I don't know if that effects it. Again, good game.

Why did it blame on me. Hi I love this app it is very fun and cool I think you should get it because it is very very awesome but when I tried to enter the Carl contest it said that that my account was banned for bad behavior😁😳😓😔😞 I did not do anything trust me not lying for real I really didn't do any thing at all tell me what happened does anyone know who ever has the same problem gets a free lollipop😄😃😉☺😊or a dime10%of a cookie deal ? Fun for adults and kids. My 3 and 6 year old boys really enjoyed this in a recent road trip. Wish it had a few more features with the full version. Dont really think the $3 is worth the few extras u get with the purchase. Stick with the free version unless they add some coloring pages or new brushes. Also-to get the monster faces u have to buy another $1 app. Should have been included for $3. Seriously.

Great but a few issues.. This app is very fun but I have a few issues. First off, where's the purple?! You should expand the color pallate. A LOT. Second, I find it hard to draw in the corners near the undo button or the button where it brings all the options back because I always end up undo-ing or bringing back the pallate by mistake. I'll edit this review and rating once these issues are addressed or I find something else annoying/awesome in the app ^.^

Amy <3. Great! It's a must have! Some problems though, one they should add a bucket. The other is when I entered a drawing in the contest of a kitten, this person took it and recolored it and posted it in the contest. That person got best of the week with MY work! Please fix this Tayasui!It also crashes whenever the auto save appears, which is like every five minutes, or when I'm looking at the contest. Please fix this or add an option where someone could turn off the auto save. In the contest, many people are using google images and posting them as their work. Since they are at the Best of the Week with "their" drawings, there's no way to report them. Please solve this! Thanks in advance 😜

Intro sound will not turn off. Intro sound continues to play while using the app on my iPad Pro. Tried to delete and reinstall and it continues to play constantly.

Drawing with Carl. This is the best app you can get for all the drawing u want to do! I couldn't stop drawing so that's why this review will be quick and short lol cuz I need to get back to my drawing:) My 3yr and my 4yr. old love this as well when I let them play they get so mad when I want my phone back! But great great app promise who ever gets it will fall in love:)

Awesome app. This is seriously one of the best apps out there. I got it for my very creative daughter and feel like her father and I end up playing with it more than her. Literally spend hours drawing and playing. Creative and fun, can't recommend this enough. Even if you have no artistic talent you will love the stamps and exciting animation....

Awesome. I love it. So easy to use and very fun to play with when I'm bored. The new tools are awesome and I only have on problem with it; When I'm doodling the little tool bar is in my way and sometimes my finger will tap on a thing I don't want it to, so can there be something to hide the tool bar, thanks. So fun!. This app is fun for people of all ages! I just can't post my drawings into the contest anymore :( there is always an error saying that it can't submit..... And I can't see other people's entries as well.... I'm not sure if this is my ipad (it's an iPad 3) or an actual bug. I'm gonna try my iPad Mini and see if it works.

Good but quite a few bugs. I would have given this app 4 or even 5 stars but for the problems I have when using it. It has errors when posting to contests which are only updated infrequently / randomly anyway. It often closes down suddenly and I lose my drawings plus now that I've upgraded to the latest version none of my older drawings are accessible. Good basic premise for drawing but needs to be far more reliable. Wish I could uninstall the latest version.

Love it! But.... I love that there are so many different brushes to use! And the contests too! But.. It could use a screen with all your published drawing on it to see how many votes you've got. Otherwise you need to scroll down in recently published just to see your votes. Also there should be a paint bucket or something to start off with a background so you don't need to colour the whole thing it. Seriously good app for anyone with small children to business people on the train!

Fantastic. This drawing app can keep you occupied for hours and the colours are so appealing!! I love putting photos in and decorating them with the stamps :) so much fun! A 5🌟 app for sure!!

Alright. Awesome app but only trouble is those annoying buttons up the top are way too sensitive. Like I'm drawing up the top and all it's doing is flicking the buttons back and forth!!! Apart from that awesome app everybody should get it!!!

Awesome!. This is by far the best app for cartooning and being creative and have fun with! Great! Works wonderfully except the colours are limited and at one time it would not function so I deleted the app and down loaded it again and I have had not trouble since. It's worth it to buy the better version because there are more things to use.

Has bugs but it's ok. Could use some more variety of tools and a text box to type in and a save button due to a very annoying saving issue where the drawing turns out incomplete and it requires restarting the app, the price should be a bit lower but other than that this app is pretty good for scribbling in

Creative fun. My boys aged 6 and 4 have had hours of fun and explored their creativity with this app. They enjoy saving their best to the iPad mini and talking to the monsters!

Best drawing app ever!!!. Four and a half stars⬆ would be nice to just have an eraser button instead of having to switch colour and tool every time or having to re new the whole thing. It is good to have an undo button but sometimes, you just want to erase a little part of it. And if you( the people who made this game) do decide to and and erase button, can you make it that we can adjust the size of the eraser?

Best drawing app yet. Spent 3 hours downloading paint editors on desktop and they didn't work like i wanted them to UNTILL I downloaded this app everything I want and more Thanks guys love it

Wow!!!😋🐓😊. I love it. If u love art then its great for u. It has different stickers which theres like endless! Possibilities that you can choose from and theres back ground wallpapers wow!!! What app can do all this? None! Its even better than repix! Drawing carl is awesome and it has stamps and any technique of tool like the paintbrush is my fav u can do flowers and leaves but the best part is! You can have it any color any style u can show your art work of and look at other peoples art work. Its amazing really nothing could get better than this!

Very basic program. No instructions as to how to start a new page, where the pages are saved, no redo button only undo. I wanted something simple but I would expect an option the save the creations and at least an option to start a new drawing but no help in the instructions so assuming these basic features weren’t included Why have an undo button but no redo? Only instructions are just explaining what the tools do like this is a pencil Bought for my niece but not good enough

Pretty good.. Great like most of its sister apps made by these guys, however I find the plugs for other similar apps a little intrusive. Talking Carl was perfect. This is comes pretty close.

Drawing Carl. You might not believe me but this is the best drawing game I have ever gotten. I just installed it last night, I haven't stopped playing it since 7:00 in the morning till 8:30.

Great App!. This is an Amazing App! The Best of the best! But I hope that you add a flip icon, that lets you flip drawings or imports from camera roll. Would also like smaller eraser brushes. :) And there seems to be a bug when you import photos, you cannot change size and position, and it's stays full screen. And I've been getting a few crashes, and all my hard work gone, so hopefully that'll be fixed! But anyway! I rate it 4 stars

4 years and counting. For over 4 years the miscreant Carl and his growing group of apps from Talking Carl (upgraded from lite) to drawing with a light sabre in Laser Carl has kept my kids amused and given me peace when desperately needed (I keep a supply of Carl apps on iPhone and iPad to keep the busy), like desperate for a coffee.

Very fun & cute drawing app. Installed it, and really love it. It has some great drawing tools and the mirror function is very handy. Lots to use in the free version. Lots of stamps, patterns and backgrounds. Super cute!!

Great app. Rarely crashes, but I have two issues with this app. 1. It's kind of irritating not having a button to hide the toolbars and whatnot 2. On the new iPad, when I close the app via the multi-touch gestures I can see for a moment it shows the red bar saying that the app was recording, which comes across as quite odd

Awesome. I work in child care and they love all the characters that they can add to there pictures or create around. It's pretty good for the drawing app that it is. It reminds me of paint on Microsoft but better!!

Really fun but one issue... The one issue I have with this is app is that there is this bug where none of the drawings would load in (from the contests) I have fine internet, in the next update it would be great if you fixed that. From, someone who has played Drawing Carl for years. 😁

New menu is useless. It was much easier for my boy when the little page fold icon opened all his drawings rather than a menu that he can't read! The save / load options are not easy for a young kid to deal with.

Maybe an upgrade on that? A font pack would be rad, too. The drawing tools are amazing and it's so much fun to play with; it's not just for kids!

Why, Tayasui, why?. This new update has been by far the worst, in less than two minutes the app has crashed 3 times! The watercolor brush doesn't even work & you should put back in what used to be the normal pencil (The new one is positively atrocious, I wonder why you even added that). Unlocking all the stickers was a nice touch, however it would be a good idea to add a monster's mouth with a lower pitch (or better yet, an adjustable pitch) so it's not as high pitched. Also, it would be best to add new stickers, as most cannot be used for general purposes (what in the world would you use a dinosaur sticker for?) or add brushes with patterns (a brush that doesn't create a shape for you) or a way to minimize the brush set & put the back to menu button (peeling paper button) in the set, as it makes it difficult to use the entire canvas. For now, I'm going to be deleting this app with its numerous flaws. Sorry Tayasui, its not worth to keep around!

Very good!!. I really like this app! I agree it's very good for kids. My only problem is the menu bar on the bottom of the screen. I can't draw closer to the bottom without it popping up. But other than that this app is great!!

Hi , Drawing With Carl is a good app for drawing but it only worked once now I cannot get to the drawing screen because it won't go past the title screen I think there I a bug in the program I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the app won't work please fix as soon as possible

Awesome. LOVE THE APP! It's easy to use and it's fun. Plus I love the stickers, they are brilliant, especially the dinosaur ones that make noise! It would be awesome if you released a new update, maybe something that would make the experience even better, like a new sticker pack (happy faces and stuff would be cool), or maybe even a zoom in tool. So yeah overall your app is AMAZING! I think it's better than Paper 53.

Good Time Waster 😜. I love playing this to get my creative juices flowing! Haha and the 3D stickers make it all the more fun. Love the different effects, although a greater color range could be helpful. Either way I still give it 5 stars! Best drawing app I've come across so far 😊

Fun for adults and kids. My kids love playing with this when we are bored in public. It keeps them occupied! I love it too...when I need to wake up in the morning I just turn it on and draw.

Really fun and cute. This app is really awesome. You got stamps, character stickers, pencil and marker with different textures, designs , and lots of colors. Please put purple on the color pallet!!! Thats the only color not on this game. Please put more stamps and colors in the next update! Great game though.

Best Drawing App. Love it! Both me and my kids love this app. It's definitely our favorite drawing app. I only gave it 4 stars because sometimes won't erase the picture and I have to restart my phone for it to completely erase otherwise I would've given it 5 stars.

Nice. This app is nice and has some cute stuff for drawing. I wish there were more choices for things but maybe there will be more updates. Everything seems to work well, and no crashes.

Recent update has upset my child. The new update of Drawing with Carl has really upset my son. There has been a change of when importing a picture into the drawing area, he is not allow to manipulate the size of the import or change it's size. Please fix this issue as he is extremely upset by this and has deleted the app and refuses to consider playing it. Otherwise, he loves it but please change it!

OK. Just downloaded the app but my 4 year old already seems to like it and has figured it out. My only complaint thus far is that it makes you rate it before you get all the add-ons even though I paid for the full version.

Great App. Ok I know it's 4 babies but it's just so fun!!! From pushing buttons I learned that u can edit a picture and draw on it!!! That means u can put mustaches👨 on everything!download it now and draw👨} mustaches👨on everything!!!

Creative. This app is so creative! I never knew there would be many choices. In most of the drawing apps they only have color choices and backgrounds but this one has designs and stickers! Also the characters are cute!!!!!

Best drawing app for kids. My 2 year old and I have the most fun with this app. I turn on guided access and he can use stickers and draw by himself...which is awesome. We laugh at the mouths that play back what you say. Simply a great drawing app.

Enjoyable art!. Nice art app, fun for my 3 year old son. I just wish the trash can was on the main screen with a save button, because my son makes such great things but doesn't save them because buttons too complex and doodles over and over on the same page because he can't find the trash button.

Drawing With Carl!. This is a perfect doodle pad for kids. My kid is in love with this game and i highly reccomend it for others. There's so many different effects to use on your picture and very easy to figure out how to play. Not complicated at all and that is why it is PERFECT for any kid. It's GREAT!!!!!

Awesome!. This is the best app I've bought in ages - just squeaking past Angry Birds Star Wars (a very different kind of app). Carl is fun, bright, and has features for the very young along with much more complicated options that keep my 6 year old son - and me! - exploring! Truly creative. Congrats, Carl! Glitchy but really cute and clever. This is a great game...when it works! I had a chance to check it out when I first downloaded it but now the app won't stay open longer than 5 seconds once I start to draw before it closes itself. For a paid version I really expected more and after half a day it's useless? Support please!

Carl. Fabulous app! I REALLY like to sketch but this fun and creative drawing app is a great alternative! Only one minor problem which is • How do you turn down or off the clicking nose?( apart from using the iPod volume, which does not work anyway!) Thank you very much for creating wonderful app!!! :p

Don't update!!. Personally, I like this app. Except for a few things... Mainly the updates. Every single time you get an update all of the pictures I had are gone along with the colors I created that didn't exist originally in the app. Why do they even need to update this? Now all of my drawings are gone and the colors I created and I cannot make any more than one drawing and save it. BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK. I like Pokemon better.

Awesome. This app is awesome I love the mirror feature, I always feel like I'm making a logo when I use it, one thing this app could work on is instead of letting us undo stuff it should add some kind of erasing tool, that's why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars 👍👍👍👍👎

Would be perfect. I think this game is one of my favorites, but, it has a few bugs. I can't post any of my art anymore, which was one of my favorite features of the app. Also, I wish I wouldn't keep losing my art. This app is really great though! Keep up the good work but please fix just a bit!

The best. This is the best drawing app for kids. The drawing experience is so smooth. Extremely easy to use, and very realistic outcome. 5 kinds of drawing tools to choose from. My favorite one is the star tool. And you can erase or add stickers too. Really amazing.

Ehhh. Many people say this app is great, and I cannot deny it, it is! Although it is one of the best apps I, personally, have used, it constantly has issues. It closes down, every time I save my works of 'art', and it won't let me post my drawings to the contest. I still love how many choices there are, color wise and the helpful, mirror setting on it. That is why I think of the app as a 3 star.

Fun way to sketch on the go. This has quickly become my favorite drawing app (and I have quite a few). It has many great brush types, and mirror mode is an amazing way to get yourself out of a creative slump. It may be designed for kids, but old pros like me can get some use out of it too.

love it. I love this app it is always a fun game to play when you are board and I love how it doesn't require wifi but what I would want is a glitter marker or glitter effect and my water color will not go double sided when I click the •|• button but other than that is is my favorite app

My brother doesn't care. At first I was getting this for him. When i figured out what to do I tried to show him. He didn't care. I was going to delete the app but I actually had fun with it myself and decided to keep it. I suggest this to many other bored teens. 😄🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟❕

Annoying. It was fun to play with, but for some reason all of the sounds are played as 'ringtones and alerts' meaning you can't adjust the volume; they are full-volume all the time, or you have to set the phone to silent mode.

We love it!. My 4 year old loves this app! He loves the variety of things he can do with it. Not to mention the motor skills that he is strengthening when choosing and making things bigger and smaller. His imagination goes wild and even his parents try playing artist. He certainly is the best one at it!

Carl is great. There are many cool features that are able to used without having to purchase them. All in all I think this app is worth it.

Perfect app!. My children and I love this app. We create pictures together, save them to view later, and email them to grandparents. This app holds their attention, and I feel good about them using their creativity.

Best drawing app I have used. There ate so many cool features to use. My kids love using the mirror drawing option where what you draw on one side appears on the other. You can paint,spray paint. Use your own pictures as background or as part of your picture.
