Too many ads. When you load the home page you immediately get a full page ad. If you happen to touch one of the numerous ads as you navigate, the ad takes over the screen and renders the app useless until you restart it and then you get another ad. The app looks very good and much improved when you are able to use it. Please roll back the ads and give us a big X to make it go away when one does appear. Thanks!

Weather. If i wanted to see everything else going on I would go on the website. The weather app is for weather only. The new layout is crap

Fix the radar. New radar is inaccurate and worse than the old one. I’ve been using the app for 4-5 years and the update ruined the whole app. Please fix.

Bad Update, bad app 👎. Horrible! Why would you change it from a well functioning and easy to navigate app to this!? I understand wanting a new look to the app but you sacrificed the entire interface and usability. In return we get a crap app with pictures of the weather team. Not to mention I’m hammered with constant adds now.

Disappointed. Don’t care for this updated version. I can’t get notifications and I have double checked in settings to make sure they’re on.

Radar loop is. Horrible.. If I wanted to see what happened it the last twenty to thirty minutes I could just stare at the clouds. The radar loop is very very uninformative. I often can tell which way a storm is moving between direction and development. FYI Alan Seals is great.

Terrible update. New app is lacking the best features of the old one. The radar is basic like other apps that I avoided, there’s no dark mode for radar, and it isn’t as sharp or clear as before. The app is also way too slow to load. Big misstep in switching app developers.

Weather app. App doesn’t have warnings with audio anymore. Very disappointing.

Weather app. I used the old app just about daily. Installed current update and I now get nothing. It will not load. Could use some help here I guess.

Don’t like mapbox.. I do not care for mapbox. It is misleading and does not act right. I want my old map back. I love this before the new map.

New app. I don’t know what happened but the new update will not let the app to open. Go back to the original app. At least I could see the radar.

Sorry excuse for functioning “app.”. The new version of the WKRG weather app is horrendous. It is so awful in fact, that I might dare say it is a crime against humanity. I have never found myself leaving reviews on apps, but the chasm between what this app is in terms of quality now, versus what it was for the years that I used it prior, is vast. The new version is clunky. The new version crashes. The new radar is clunky. There’s too much going on. The simplicity of swiping through my few options was sufficient for me and I reckon for many others based on these reviews. The new map is way too bright. Defeats the purpose of the Doppler pickups contrasting the map. I suggest asking Alan Sealls what he thinks you should do.

New update is awful. I don’t generally leave reviews of apps. I am doing this with hope that WKRG will recognize the less than user friendly update for their weather app and correct it. I hate to say I liked the old app because I do think it needed updating but this is terrible.

Horrible after update. The update has left this app completely useless!! The radar map is horrible! The time goes too fast to be able to tell anything when looking at the radar. It’s blurry to the point you can’t see it well!! Please go back to the old version!!!!! (Miss Alan Seales)

Bring back satellite view. Your new “modern look” to the map background has caused complaints by my mother and her friends. They want the satellite view back, because they don’t look at streets—they look at terrain via satellite photography. That’s why they used your app in the first place. And they are now looking for a replacement for your app after you broke it. If you add the option to put the satellite view back, that would fix this issue.

Hate new app.. I have been using the old app at least a doz times a day for 6 years. I cannot understand this one at all. As far as I am concerned it is useless. Fancy is not better. Please bring back the old & simple!!!! I’ve been using it at least a dz. times a day since you changed to this new one. I still don't like it. It says 4&up. Guess I’m too old. Deleted & reinstalled. If that don’t help I will switch to 15’s.

Previous app was better. Previous app was much easier to navigate and find what you were after. App is loading much faster though. The old one wouldn’t load on my phone half of the time.

Radar. I appreciate the changes and updates made, but I really miss the old radar feature where you could see the “cones” mapped out for like tornado/rotation warnings. I would love to get the old radar back!

Horrible new update. The old one gave me instant radar with exactly what I needed at that moment of weather. Could between weather app and news app.. I don’t need or want all of the extra fluff. Absolutely do not like update.

WKRG weather disaster. The old format provided temperature, conditions, humidity all at the same time! The new app has you moving between each instead of just seeing it all at once.

Used to be very good. Intrusive ads now carry loud sound making the almost unusable.

Can’t even view weather. I’ve deleted and re-installed I don’t know how at times.. but if I open the app is perpetually stuck on the as for windows.

Fix your feed. Apparently their IT guys are morons. No livestream feeds work. They advertise streaming but only offer dead links and frustration. Try Wala Fox 10. They know how to do a proper app and livestream.

Updates. I hate this new update I’m installing the app it’s useful to me now

Virtually useless. So many ads and video weather doesn’t work. Tried to get the daily forecast video and it showed one that was 3 days old.

Used to be a great app. Once again someone felt that they had to fix what wasn’t broken. This used to be a great app, after the redesign it’s terrible and load times are horrible. Strongly recommend using a different weather app as this is now slow, hard to navigate and way to busy.

Once great, new version not so much.. Appears they changed new new system in last 4-6 months. New one terrible in that info is choppy and sporadic. Bring back old one.

VERY DISAPPOINTED. Do not like the new app. Radar doesn’t show my exact location like the old one. And no hourly forecast. Used the old app all the time. Will go back to the weather channel if changes are not made. Why did you mess up what worked?

5weather ruined. You’ve ruined a very good app Fire whoever did these updates!

New Update. The updated version of the app is not as good as the old version. It loads faster but there are less radar features, no hourly forecast, and way too much information. Most of the time the app is choppy at best. If I wanted the news instead of the weather, I would’ve installed the WKRG News app instead of the weather app. I’m uninstalling and moving on.

Pitiful excuse for a weather app. This used to be my go to weather app...not since the horrible update a couple of months ago. It’s terrible and completely unhelpful. I always used to use this app for weather checking before using TWC. Deleting your app as soon as I submit this review.

Used to be a great app. This was my go to app for radar for many years, but It is completely ruined with the latest update. More like an advertisement for the network. Such a shame

Horrible. I used to love WKRG’s weather app, but then they updated it and ruined it. Too many unnecessary links and obtrusive ads, and the worst interactive radar l’ve ever encountered. While I still watch WKRG News 5 on television for news and weather, I prefer WPMI NBC 15’s weather app

Use Storm Tracker 5. I personally don’t like this app, hard to use and doesn’t have great wheather radars. But the storm tracker 5 is my go to, hourly updates, notifications, nice radar.

Bring back old app. Hate the new version. Deleted it. Why didn't you leave it alone? It deserves 0 stars but I had to pick one. Plus on this app, the icons that show locations are too big. Just a dot would be sufficient

New version is horrible. I used to love this app, especially the radar feature. The new update did not improve much of anything. Upon opening the app, there are so many things to look at, it hard to focus. It’s “too busy”. The old radar used to have a feature that would run the radar into the future. The new one supposedly does too, but I can’t get it to work. I may be deleting this app. They should have left it alone.

Terrible update!. Too much going on missing the county lines on the maps. Crucial when warnings are posted “for the following counties”

New Update. The old app, while looking outdated worked very well, I especially liked the heavy rain and lightning strike notifications. This recent update brings a much needed new look on the app, but I feel like the radar is less useful with not showing the cones for tornados, etc. As well as I cannot get the notifications for lightning and heavy rain to work, which I really liked previously, especially how it would read out the information, but this may be user error.

Would love it except.... I really like this app except for a couple of problems. First, the location always defaults to Mobile, but I live in Pensacola. No matter how many times I delete Mobile and set my location to Pensacola or to "Current location", Mobile keeps coming back as my default location and I find it very annoying. I don't care about weather alerts for Mobile. Secondly, during the recent approach of Isaac, the warnings repeated over and over and over again! It was annoying. The radar works great and is the main reason I like this app. The iPad version is excellent.

Can't copy or share!. When I'm in hurricane alley and get a hurricane alert I'd like to forward it to my family. Can't email it, text it or even copy and paste it! NOT GOOD! Need to fix that!!!

Very reliable app. I used this app coming back to Mobile from Columbia, MS. Did a perfect job on my iPod and Verizon hotspot. Very accurate and easy to use.

Problems loading. Ever since the last update I can no longer upload the app.

Ok app, but lacks stuff. This radar is ok but, it lacks the good stuff that is found on most weather apps.

Needs formatting for Plus models. The app needs to be designed for Plus model phones (top bar where clock is located is bigger than normal). The ad on top is very annoying. Would be nice to allow you to purchase a remove ads option.

Do NOT like new version!!. Liked older version, when you open app & you see the map! If you wanted more detailed info. then you could go to that specific link to get it. Do NOT like the new "home page"

Ipod BUG?. Hi, I've downloaded this app. for the Ipod , it's real "buggie" , after I start it up , it just pops up for 10 sec. and the program shuts down :( Hope they can fix this and I'm wondering if I'm the only one who's having this problem. Program looks pretty cool .
