Best snow forecasting app I have ever had.. This app is awesome. Works for me; I haven’t had any problems with it. Great accurate forecasts; tons of detail.

Easy to use app with elevation forecast. If you want to quickly see weather for the different elevations of ski areas this is the fastest and easiest app I have found.

Latest update renders it unusable. Ever since the app was updated on 2/4/18, it no longer works on my iPhone 6s, Version 10.3.3. I tap the icon, it starts to load but then crashes back to my main screen when it finishes booting. I like the app (though I liked the older layout more). Can you please fix it?

Use the website. The website does everything better. With the app, you can select “your resorts” but there is a top red line that always shows the “closest”resort; It is annoying and we should have the option to remove it. near...mount Lemmon ski valley 90 mi ... view now⤵️ No thanks, that is a sledding hill.

Terrible forecast. First, let me start by saying I love the layout, ease of use and format of this app. For those reasons I may actually keep using it. So instead of giving it the worst rating I will bump it up to two stars for those reasons. But... The snow forecast is actually terrible. So far this year (and last) it has been so far off that it isn't even marginally reliable. Now, I could forgive this app if it was forecasting the same thing as NOAA and other apps, but they have gone rogue. They typically forecast days where we will receive 6-12 inches of snow. NOAA and others will say 1-2 inches. The others are always right and this has yet to be accurate. Please get the forecast in line with others because what you are using clearly isn't even close. FWIW, I live on the Wasatch back.

No longer opens. App used to work but now it crashes when you try to open it.

Keeps freezing/crashing. App barely lets me log in to my account. When I am logged in, app crashes when I try and access my favorites. Please fix! Email alerts are great but would love an app instead of accessing your webpage (which isn't that easy to navigate either).

Poor stability, app continually crashes. When working the app is pretty good but stability is awful, constantly crashing. Zero response in terms of fixes from development team too

Latest update ruined the app. The old app was tolerable. Maybe a 3 star. The new isn't even worthy of 1 star. I've still not successfully logged into the app because 95% of the time the login button is inactive. Updating countries and resorts crashes the app. Basically it's unusable. Which is frustrating given that I pay for 6 months to a year at a time for their subscriptions. An app this bad should be embarrassing. It's not like they're delivering an MVP, this was a reboot of the already existing app.

Best app for snow forecast. I have been using this app for several years now. Had few glitches with the previous version but this shouldn’t change the fact that it is still the most reliable source for snow forecast. Keep it up!

Disappointed. This is only marginally better than the website on mobile, and full of advertising even though I am a paying member :(. The forecasts also are unreliable, at least for Europe. I will be looking elsewhere.

Incorrect info. App seems to be having lots of trouble. Completely off on huge snow fall in Vermont. Disappointing, especially since I PAID for this. Hope it improves through season Not much improvement.

Bummed on log in feature. You have to register and login to get details. They don't provide a link or option to create an account from the ap and I don't think it's cool to have to login in the first place. Bummed and switching to another ap.

Good app!. I like this app., and find it to be pretty accurate. I also live in the Northwest, and after a week trip, that included 3 resorts, I am pleased with the forecasting.

The data for WA state USA is days out of date. I was hoping to be able to compare the local resorts close to Seattle. For my favorite resort, Steven's pass the app is reporting snow depth of 64"/52" and no snow since 24th Feb. Official data is 141"/108" and there has been lots of snow almost every day in the last 8 days (probably 5-6 ft of it)- when a ski resort gets 24" overnight you want to hear about it. Future 6 day forecast does not align with National weather service forecast for Pass. What a waste of money

Inaccurate data. Worthless. The data is completely inaccurate and old. I wasted my money.

Temp on Mountain. I love that this app gives temp at three locations: base, mid-mountain, and top of mountain. Takes guessing game out of figuring out what to wear.

App is hopelessly inaccurate- going back to website. Deleting the app as it is useless. I constantly direct people to the website for detailed accurate information. The app makes that a lie First, it’s “reporting” heavy snowfall where I stand. I’ve just come back indoors (it’s 6am) - light rain not mm of snow has fallen in the last 24 hours, none now and none upcoming for 36 hours Secondly it incorporates a trail map that is 5 years old and misses 12 new trails, 1 additional lift, additional snowmaking and two lifts that have been changed. Why waste the time with this Innacuracy ? Besides which it is non- stop pestering me to Upgrade - for even more misinformation???? Bye !!!! Delete !!!!

Ugh.. Just awful! New update deleted all my favorites, the search function is a huge pain to use, and the word "countries" is actually spelled wrong in the main menu. I mean come on, countrties? Really? Definitely indicative of the developer's attention to detail. Please fix this glitchy mess and get it back to something useful.

Premium account was working until today. My second year using, and it’s decent. You obviously can’t take long-range forecast as gospel because the models change on an almost hourly basis. I liked until today when my 6-month premium just decided to stop working and now I can’t seem to restore it. Emailed support, but no response yet. Any help here?!?

less features & slower than website. totally wasted 15 minutes of my life with the app back to the website which is more useful

90% inaccurate in every way.. Completely deceiving

Unusable. The information on the website is great but the app is worthless as it will not let you login.

Great reports. It is a toss up if one should use Safari or this app on the iPad mini. The site gives great reports, giving expected snow amounts instead of maximum possible that NOAA gives. It uses NOAA data to do their forecast and so it is about 10 hours behind. It also gives top,mid,bottom which can be hard to get at NOAA clicking on their map. It gives longer forecasts and more 2 day detail (if things go as expected) for subscribers.

Forces you to turn on notifications. This app is literally unusable if you don’t turn allow notifications. There is a pop-up every time you touch anything on the screen demanding that you turn on notifications for the app. First and only review I’ve ever written for an app. Just such a stupid feature that renders the app useless

Could be good. Too bad - this could be nice. But first you have to pay to download the app and than you need to pay to get full usage of the features. Don't spend the money. There are better free sites to get information about you favorite ski resort.

Doesn’t work. I paid the full suscription for a year and still shows the premium options locked and grayed. I killed the application a thousand times, I’ve also unistalled it and reinstalled it and nothing. Still waiting for an answer from the support guys to fix it or get my money back

Don’t Purchase. While I love the interface, I purchased a year of premium and I can’t even use it. I’ve hit restore purchase probably 100 times and it still won’t let me access the premium features within the app and won’t even let me access them on the website either. So $25 wasted.

Most accurate. I have 4 different snow forecast apps on my phone, but this is the only one that accurately forecasts SkiBowl on Mt. Hood. PacNW weather is tricky, and the snow/rain line often cuts across the middle of SkiBowl runs. This app nails it with the base / mid / top forecasts. Every time the other apps say all snow or all rain, this app gets it right. Most apps depend on reports, this one seems to be based on forecasts and freezing / snow levels.

Cannot search an area or mountain range. The app works great if you only want to search resorts, but if you want to search say, the White Mountains in the Appalachian Mountain Range you have to visit their desktop site. You can access ranges and ravines on the desktop site but not on the app. It's would be nice if they could add that feature to the app. I'm a backcountry skier and sometimes after you leave base camp you still want to be able to check reports.

Good option. Don’t live on the mountain? Driving a hour++ to get to the snow? This app has worked well. Nothings perfect but combined with the morning mountain reports I’ve got great days on the hills…

Not great app! Needs iPhone 5 support!. It seams fine! It could have more functionality from the website and integrate the member 9 day forecast too, but those are not deal killers. It really needs iPhone 5 support.

Trashy app. Logged in with Facebook account and the very next week my account was stolen. This caused me tremendous amount of trouble and I still haven’t got my Facebook account back

Crashes on startup. The app immediately crashes when trying to open it

Most accurate. I have tried 8 different apps and this is the most accurate app for Utah.

Absolute junk. The latest update completely trashed what was otherwise a decent app. It now requires email registration, includes ads, deletes any resorts you previously had "favorited", added completely useless features like the ability to take pictures within the app, has a extremely confusing UI, and most importantly, the forecasts themselves often fail to load! The best "update" they could make would be to revert to the prior version.

Facebook login crashes app. The Facebook login option crashes the app when attempting to log in. Tried reinstalling, rebooting apps and phone, etc. to no avail. Have to resort to using the web interface to use my subscription since i signed up via Facebook. Will update review once this has been addressed.

Currently not impressed. I love the website for Snow Forecast, but the app is lacking much. It's slow, not very accurate, graphics are grainy and app is too cluttered. I wouldn't reccommend the app to anyone, it's free to use their website, but you have to pay to use the app that has less information, is harder to navigate and is poorly built. I am not being biased, but if you're looking for a good snow report app, look to Ski Report. It's been a great app with live cams and people that are reporting current conditions. This app may be better in the future, but isn't worth the money by far right now.

Lame app. The layout and integration to the main site is very lacking. The site itself is over busy and extremely cumbersome in design and layout. Additionally, considering the premium price for subscription-the site is over populated with adds. Lastly, it would be great if the custom email alerts you can setup - came through in Imperial measurements instead of metric. You can select to have the website as either, but Ive yet to get an answer or discover how to easily do it with the email alerts.

Data doesn't fully match. First, this app should default to viewing Favorites list (if there are favorites), not Nearby resorts. The I've used the website for several years and its pretty accurate. While this app gives you identical snow forecasts, the temperature and wind forecast reported by the app is different from the data on the website and is not very accurate or useful. Really guys!? How hard is it to put the same 6-day forecast data in the app. Thats all I want! Thanks.

Disappointed. It makes you login and despite many attempts reset password, it won’t let me in. Its really annoying to have to login. Deleting it.

Accurate.. Great app - most detailed and accurate forecast.

It doesn’t even work. I like the website it’s the best forecast site I’ve found but the app just worked for a few times then it crashed and now just the welcome page comes up and then nothing!!!!!

Facebook login causes crash. As title says, Facebook login causes the application to crash. Website is usable as workaround.

Timely redo!. Back to being a great app

Redone app is no good. I used to use snow-forecast to check mountain stats for Oregon/Washington ski resorts with relative reliability. It was a disappointment when I switched to their previous version of the app as it was outdated and eventually wouldn’t work with IOS. Well, they just released the new version and here’s what I think: BOOOOO! The bad: -The app will only use metric in certain areas -current ski conditions are not accurate -the eyeball report does not work -requires notifications for the app to work -requires registration for it to work -unable to sort “My Resorts” - it only sorts alphabetically The good: -the table format for the resort weather is good

Inaccurate. All the ski areas in my favorites have all been inaccurate. Namely the Pacific Northwest, USA. The writing is too small and cluttered to be read without a magnifying glass. It would be nice if they made the snow photos smaller or delete them all together so that they would have more room for larger text and a less cluttered looked to the information. I like the overall idea and the data they are trying to show us but it still needs some work.

Free this is better than paid open snow. I wish I didn’t buy a year of open snow. Buying a year of this next year. Free version of this is better than paid open snow in my opinion

What has happened?. This app used to work well. Now you open the app… 2 seconds later it crashes…. and repeat…

Quality of app not info. The website is great your information and its format are great. Pity I have no use for this unbearably slow app. It grinds to a holt after viewing 3 local mounts. Offers no dates on the forecast hence n feedback as to updated or not to often NOT

Crash , Bang & Goodbye. I have been paying full price for at least 10 years and now this APP just crashes on opening. No response , no fix. I NOTE they have not responded to the Apple Request for privacy information which details how they use our data !!! Apple demanded it comes with the developers next update !! It’s highly possible they have not updated this App for two years because of this demand which explains a lot. I am cancelling and demanding a refund for current subscription. Dump them and don’t go to anyone who has not responded to Apple Privacy request.

Rubbish. The upgrade late last year was a disaster, previous version a lot more user friendly. When looking at your "favorites", after looking at one resort, return takes you to closest resorts rather than the favorites menu that you were on. Crashes constantly. Not worth the money paid.

Similar issues. Old reports, no camera info or selection of date time other cameras and so on, nz reports incomplete data missing, no map labels of resorts or other information, no settings able to be changed and no information on indicators. Not impressed not as advertised also want refund

Needs an update. This app needs to be updated urgently it runs so slow and isn't optimised for newer apple devices. It is now 2017! It was last updated in 2014.

The ap is much better than the website. UPDATE: the issue was fixed and now have full access - totally satisfied and good support thanks —— I have paid for the annual subscription and it fails to activate- totally broken and no one responds to questions and calls for support.

Maps are awful. When maximizing the tiny resort maps they become uselessly unreadable. Therefore maps are totally useless

Horrible app keeps making me log in. As an avid snowboarder I love the concept of this app. However, being asked to put in my email and password every time I log in is beyond annoying. Sometimes it doesn’t , but most (9/10) it does. Fix this app or search for snow forecasts elsewhere

Works great. Using iPhone with up-to-date iOS and app works smoothly without crashing since I started using it again for this season. It’s been great over the years. Snow Forecast provides great indicative data, and freezing levels are fairly reliable. Would recommend :)

WASTE OF TIME. The app doesn’t even open, it crashes immediately. It’s been doing this for many months. It doesn’t seem like the developers are interested in fixing it. I deleted it and started using another forecasting app. This used to be my go to snow forecasting app.

App hasn’t worked in over a year. Despite two updates, my app hasn’t worked in over a year. It crashes continually on start up and I can never get past the start up screen. Was hopeful that after the Dec 8th update it would resolve the issue, but the issue remains and the app is still unusable.

Used to be good. Used to be great, but I deleted it once they demanded that I log in with facebook or my email. I paid for this app and expect to be able to use it without giving more personal information. Update: I downloaded again to see if the update got rid of the login. It did not, so I deleted it again. An app this simple should not require a login.

Overcharged 3 times!!. I tried renewing this and it didn't seem to go through, tried again twice but same issue. Days later I'm finally getting a confirmation and charged 3 separate charges for the 6 month renewal. Reported to Apple and I'd like to get my refund please. Other buyers be careful before placing your orders!!

Snow forecast data unreliable. The app contains data presentation issues - snow forecast numbers on the summary view do not match the total aggregate of snow forecasted on the hourly detail view. On Feb 24, 2021 snow forecasted (summary view) shows 16cm for Mt Washington. The detailed hourly view for the same time period shows a total of 3.8 cm. What’s the correct number??? These are so wildly different that a user cannot rely on the forecasted data. Deems the app useless for determining when to go to the hill for fresh snow

App doesn’t work on IOS 14.2. Firstly, do I really need another email and password to check the weather? Secondly, the keyboard goes blank when trying to fill in the field so I can’t get any further. 100% unusable. But there’s no option to give it 0 stars.

Great app w/ some bugs. Great app. Has everything you’d want in one place. It also has an super irritating bug that forces you to confirm your email when switching back to it from another app. Yikes.

App keeps crashing and shuts off. I really like this app when it works which is not that often. Over the past couple years and especially lately, it shuts off as soon as I open it. The work around is to delete the app and reinstall it except lately this doesn’t work either. If it weren’t for the great layout and information when it is working I would give up all together. Instead I’m optimistically waiting for an update that fixes the crashing bug and in the meantime looking for another snow forecasting app to rely on.

Crash crash crash. I have had this on and off my iOS devices for several years. Looks like I am going to delete it again. Just crashes all the time. Doesn’t even load a single screen. All software is current and up to date on my phone. I feel sorry for the people that pay monthly for this. At least their website works.

More technical than average weather app. But goes through crashing phases. Love the features etc. But, the app goes through phases (like now) when it either crashes or just doesn’t open at all. Sometimes these phases last days, sometimes weeks.

Info good, but layout and navigation need work. The actual forecasts are great, but this app needs a complete rethink. Navigation isn’t great, there isn’t much additional info on resorts, and why does it constantly ask me to verify that I’m logged in?

Snow-Forecast.com. My goto app for ski conditions at almost any resort, even “Hickory Hill”, NY. Considering it’s done remotely from England, I believe, it’s pretty amazing. Complicated? Maybe, but so is mountain weather. Maps are predictive days out, allowing amateur weather forecasting. For @ 20$ for 6 months, a bargain. AP

Best Mountain Weather App of 2020-21. I have spent the last 75+ days in the mountains from Colorado, Utah, And the Tahoe area. I actively use 4 apps to chase powder and determine ski conditions each day. This is my number 1 app for 2021. It is by far the most reliable, and they have updated conditions more often than their competitors this season. I believe On the Snow and Open Snow have taken a financial hit due to COVID causing a lack of us skiers/snowboarders paying for their premium services. From my perspective this may be the reason why they are only updating weather once a day and do not have as many weather forecasters. This is my go to app this year and has been great. The services they offer that show the weather at different elevations is brilliant. I have found it to be the most accurate and update multiple times daily. Determining weather in the mountains must be extremely difficult, and the national weather companies towers tend to be below the base of the mountain, therefore they are not accurate for mountain sports. So we need apps such as this to determine conditions when figuring out what base layers to wear each morning and what mountain to head to the following week. Thanks for being the most reliable this year!
