Perfect!. All five apps from D.I. are just exactly perfect! They have the best programmed stations, and if you're a subscriber, they have the best sound quality available. They're all live stations, but they are all original. It's worth checking out!

Ditto. I can’t add anything to the other five star reviews except to highlight the incredible range of streaming options offered (39 by my count) from, varieties of classic jazz to different kinds of contemporary to specific instruments and ensemble sizes.

An especially rich source of jazz. Local radio has rock, oldies, country, rap, and classical. The public radio has a couple hours of jazz Saturday nights. This fills a real need in my listening. It also gives me new names to look for in CDs.

A go-to Jazz resource. JazzRadio is the streaming source of choice for me, and one of only two to which I subscribe. It’s been a significant part of the “soundtrack of my life” for nearly a decade (perhaps more?). The app has gradually improved in its performance in the years since the current app replaced the earlier one, and most of the bugs have been worked out. I appreciate that the audio starts much more quickly than was the case a year ago, and earlier (on the same devices that I’ve used since 2014). Interruptions are significantly less frequent as well. Overall, I’m very happy with JazzRadio. Now, if only an Organ Jazz channel could be initiated.... 😄

Great music. I’m so glad I found this app. I love the music and the layout of the app. It’s my go to music and app for relaxing and reading. I can always find a channel to suit my needs/mood.

TK. I like their music selection, but music stops during the commercial and I have to manually turn off ad screen to keep listening to music. P.S. I was contacted by tech support and recommended me to uninstall and reinstall the app. So far it’s working fine!!!

Change/lower purchase fee.. Would purchase if 1 time fee. If one does not purchase the app you have to check it nearly every 5-10 minutes otherwise you’ll lose the music. I did not have a problem with the adds, as many were helpful, Basically, if you do not purchase the app you are penalized!

Perfect. I’ve been a jazz fan for decades and this is, by far, the best source for the full spectrum of jazz on the internet (or any where else, save live jazz). Whoever is C. Leander curates most of the channels and she or he hears the music amazingly well. Curious or a lifelong aficionado, you can’t go wrong here.

Cannot find where to turn off auto-renew. Purchased premium service and am enjoying it. About automatic renewal, not comfortable with signing blank checks for anything. Looked for it at settings as indicated, cannot find where to turn auto renewal off.

Wonderful!. i subscribe to Classical Radio, which includes Jazz Radio. The app is as fabulous as the music. I highly recommend the app and paying for the subscription. Sometimes it is the little things in life that make the hard times easier.

My favorite jazz music app. This is my favorite jazz music app. Listen to it every day. Stations are great, well selected, variety of styles and instruments, fantastic design, can’t get enough of it! The free version has some commercials but not annoying and just enough. Thanks!

Still my favorite.. Still has channels/stations that play music that does not repeat. The genre channels I created never repeat the sequence of tracks. Intuitive to use. Thankfully no Game programmers have destroyed the user interface by hiding menus and options.

Nowhere to Somewhere. Couldn’t find reliable stations with a reliable time slot for jazz. Now that I have this, I’m never missing out. Will recommend to others for sure.

Love the app- how to cancel auto renew?. Great, wonderful, amazing app! However. I got charged for an annual premium subscription because I forgot to cancel the free trial. My husband was diagnosed with esophagus cancer right after Xmas and I was distracted, I think. Anyway, we really can’t afford it, so I need to make sure it doesn’t auto-renew. I have looked in my settings of my iPhone and in the iTunes Store and I cannot find how to unsubscribe. Can you please assist me? Many thanks for a beautiful station!

The Music. Commercials, I know I can pay a fee and not hear advertising, but the music is so good I’ll listen to the ads, but so many times I’m in a mood we’re I just have to cut the app off and turn it back on later.

5 billions stars. This is the best music app I have and I have several. I don’t like playlists. I want to be surprised and on occasion thrilled with something I’ve never heard before. Thank you Jazz Radio!!!!!!! And I finally stopped pressing “Remind me later” today and who knows when that will ever happen again! So hopefully my 5 (billion) star rating comes through. Oh and I’m also enjoying not listening to Home Depot ads every few songs anymore since I got Premium. If you’re reading this review, go for it. You know you want to!!!

Love the format. I don’t know anything about jazz so I wouldn’t know who/what to look for, so this app has a great format that lets you bounce around and check out different sub genres.

Great Music Selection. Rather Buggy, unfortunately.. This app is my go-to place for smooth lounge jazz, which is one of my favorite genres of music. The selection is nice, and I’ve found an bought some great music this way. Unfortunately, the app itself is pretty buggy. Sometimes, it won’t recognize your Facebook login, so you can’t use it via Facebook. It’ll say, “that account already exists”. Well, yes. I know. That’s why I’m trying to sign in through it! Not only that, it’ll randomly pause the song. I don’t know if it’s buffering or what, but it’s kind of annoying to have to stop what I’m doing to push the play button every time. EDIT: The song selection is another problem with this app. Sometimes, they’ll play the same song several times a week, while better songs don’t play again for months. Either that, or they aren’t playing when I’m listening. Otherwise, I’m happy with this app. Just needs some kinks to work out!

Jazz for different moods!. It's great to have access to quality Jazz on my phone wherever I am. It streams well even off 3G, even better on Wifi. Sound Quality is great even at lower rates to minimize bandwidth usage. Add free and with numerous jazz channels to choose from there's something to suit my mood. Personally recommend the smooth jazz channel.

Really Annoyed!. This app no longer works on our iPod touch. We are premium members, but the forced upgrade means we can't use the subscription with our current setup. Can't use the website on iOS either, as it requires flash. Not happy!

No background mode???!. Seriously!!! What's wrong with you guys??? The app has to be foreground to play music??? It kills the purpose, isn't it?!

Too Repetitive. If you don’t have a subscription, the music only lasts for a short while before it stops itself requiring you to repress the play button. I wouldn’t mind a subscription only problem is, its way too repetitive. Have found other options elsewhere with better playlists.

Good but.... I was notified of a forced upgrade today, which I tried to install. It wouldn't install because my iPhone runs a back level iOS. I was offered a previous version of Jazzradio which I accepted. On restarting the forced update appeared again. Rinse and repeat. Ad nauseam. This is precisely why I don't subscribe.

Hits the spot .... I teach music so I make sure I listen to heaps of it ... great Jazz ... always something to satisfy whatever mood you're in. Often-times it'll prompt me to seek out & purchase the hard-copy CD too. Thanks guys & keep it up ;)

Removed chromecast ability. Looks like they’ve removed the ability to connect to chromecast, which was my primary use for this app meaning it’s all but useless for me now. Very disappointing.

Uses HUGE amount of CPU. This app is broken. It uses a HUGE amount of CPU time, making the rest of the phone slow and laggy, makes the phone run HOT, and drains the battery like nothing else. Until this is fixed, the app is unusable. Same issue occurs on my iPad so it’s not a problem with my particular iPhone. Additional information as requested by developer: iPhone 6S running iOS 13.2 iPad Air 2 running iPadOS 13.2 I normally stream from the iPhone to an A/V receiver via AirPlay with the screen turned off. But as soon as the app is running (even without playing music), the phone runs slow. When pulling down the Notification Centre or pulling up the Control Centre, the animation is slow and jerky. If I start the stopwatch in the Clock app, the hundredth-seconds do not increment smoothly but only about twice a second.

Not Holding Up to Competition. I want to love this app. But: there is not enough variety within the playlists on each channel; lots of channels, but if you don't like the different styles, the library is limited; streaming is flaky compared to, say, Songza. The pitch for premium service has been annoying, and just not worth the price given the limited amount of music available and the lack of new additions. Just picking a player and higher audio quality is just not worth the money. Interface is nice, though. Sorry, I have to move on.

Vocal jazz. Great jazz station, however some of the songs are replayed too often and there's too many ads.

Changed for the worse. What the heck! This used to be one of my favourite apps, with a fantastic selection of channels. But all of a sudden I'm getting ads after every single song, cutting into the beginning of the next song, and the ads are at least twice as long as they used to be. I was seriously considering becoming a premium member, but with the decline in quality of the app, I'm just deleting it and finding something else to listen to. What a shame!

Great app for Jazz!. I’ve been using this app for years and I love it! I love to read while listening to music, but I can only read to certain music. Normally a rock lover, I find rock hard to read to. I discovered this app years ago and I find the music perfect to read to. Yes there is repetition but for those who just want some nice background music….give it a try. Also, it’s half the price of Apple Music

Dumb games. This app keeps opening App Store at some stupid game. Whose great idea is this? Doesn't show cover art any more either.

Useless on iPad. This used to be my go to app for jazz, now it just locks up and won't play. Tried deleted and reloading, to no avail.

Nice music when you can get it!. Shame about the tacky way they cut you out every few minutes. I don’t mind an ad or two, but this seems like manipulation to get you to pay for premium. Service is very hit and miss... mostly miss.

Swing & Big Band. Premium is my fav. 5 other apps included. The sound quality is the best, & the curators. This should have more ratings, but glad di.fm is still going.

The go to radio app for my daily chores. Swing and big band is my favourite, they do play repeats sometimes a little too often, must be because I tune in at the same time. Minimal adverts even in free mode. A good selection all things said and clear sound too!

The Best Darned Jazz App, Period!. I love the user friendly layout for easy access, besides offering a wide selection of fresh interpretations of timeless classics, which is the primary reason for liking it. No other app gives this the level of musical sophistication and choice. I listen to it everyday, and the best part is, you get to take the music wherever you go. Really Good!. Great selection of genres. I particularly like the Paris playlist. The ads can be a little annoying, it’s hit and miss.

Video ads stop the music. The music is great, with a fantastic selection of channels—so much so that when I realized I hadn’t used this app in a long time I wondered why. Without a premium subscription, not only do you get audio ads (which is absolutely expected and acceptable), but you are also served video ads that you have to unlock your phone and watch in order to continue listening. Tldr: Great if you love jazz and sign up for the premium membership, useless otherwise.

Great music brings joy anywhere I go. It's an easy to use app and works anywhere on my phone. Great music and lots of choices for light and heavy jazz listeners. It's a non-stop playing music app at our home.

the free app is plagued by ads. only download if you plan on buying their Premium service. the free ad-based service is plagued by pop-ups, forced video ads viewing and constantly switches to the appstore for you to download advertised apps. not worth it - there's tons of other streaming services out there!

Ok streaming but not enough info re premium. This is a no frills streaming app with a nice breakdown of different sub genres of Jazz. However I’d like more info on the differences between premium before I dive into some 20 day trial that might be hard to cancel.

Most used app in my phone. I’ve had it for 7 years I believe. Use it at work, Saturday morning cleanup, and bedtime.

Good Mix, one suggestion. I do enjoy this app, I think it gives a good mix of artists and selection of sub genres. I would find the addition of artist bios and the musician lineup, or the links to such bios/lineups, nice.

.....way too much “smooth” jazz.... Currently I count 8 channels of “smooth” jazz...plus several channels of “mellow” and “cool” jazz.... along with one “mellow smooth jazz” channel. ENOUGH with the mellow-cool-smooth jazz channels! These are jazz-adjectives we have come to despise.... Let’s dump some of the mellow-cool-smooth channels and bring back the Avant-Garde channel!

A good APP gone bad. You loose my monthly subscription since it’s more cost effective for you to force ads unless an annual subscription . . . No way why would pay in advance for a service that is getting worse. Not cost effective when 0$ come in. I I hope you make with it with your Ad money and ZERO customers!!!! GOOD BYE JAZZRADIO.

Privacy. It’s a nice music selection, but their tracking and privacy policies are problematic. You definitely want to change the default settings and use a burner email account.

Great source of jazz genre but..... Lately the app is crashing even with uninstalling and reinstalling on the iPad. I dont if it has something to do with the latest version of iOS but I really do hope it gets resolved soon.
