Watch app crashes on launch. Keeping a 5 star review cause I am running the betas on my watch and phone. But right now when loading locations the Watch app crashes every time. Hopefully they fix it soon love this app ways more then the swarm one.

Awesome, But Found A Bug. Love the app. It's super fast and easy to use. I noticed that when you've checked into a place and don't check into any other place then wait till the following day or whenever and check into the same place, it fails to check in. It's kind of annoying during those times when you get off work at night then have to open again in the morning or when you go to the gym late at night then go again the next day in the morning. The checkins will fail, but besides that I love the app. I took off 3 stars cause of this. It would be nice if you could see your own history somehow too, so you can post comments and verify checkins.

Great. Great. Replace ruined foursquare. It's small/fast and have functions which I want. (Check in/send to sns) Recommend this if you want just record places.

Great alternative for fast check ins. I have been using this app for awhile now and love how fast it refreshes with close locations and how easily it lets you checkin. You can open the app and checkin to your location in around 15 seconds on average.

Best Swarm app available. Checking in on Swarm is clunky and slow. All I want to do is capture where I've been and Checkie does this perfectly. I've never had a problem with this app and I use it 4+ times daily!

Fast, simple, searchable. It's exactly what you want to check in - no frills, fast response, one swipe, and you're done. It's searchable, so if it doesn't show up at the top of the list, it's often easier to just type a few characters - and voila! My only change would I'd like the search field to have the little x at the end allowing me to quickly blank the field before doing another search. But that's not enough to warrant a star off!

Extremely fast. Fastest way to checkin. It would be nice to be able to see how/why checkin points are being earning, but great overall.

Made me active on Foursquare again. The reason I stopped checking in places: Foursquare took too long to load. The reason I'm checking in again: Checkie is fast. It's bare bones for people who want to check in without hassle. It automatically updates a list of closest places when you open it. Swipe right on your location to check in immediately; swipe left to add a comment or share to social media. There's unfortunately no way to be directed to more info from the app after you check in. But I suspect the lack of this makes it faster, and that's the whole point.

Love the simplicity!. Love the simplicity and ease of use of the app. If I can be picky, it would be to say I wish it had a widget.

Use it all the time!. This is a must have for any foursquare user. I use it all the time for quick check-ins. It makes checking-in a lot less of a hassle and much more discreet.

API issue fixed, best Foursquare checkins app is back. I use Foursquare to log my travels to a calendar. I don't do much with the social side. Checkie triumphs in its simplicity. Very few apps in the App Store are killing it at one essential function the way this app does.

Outstanding App!. I used to enjoy Foursquare and used it all the time. But I fell away from using it when they created Swarm. The Swarm app is clunky and kidsy. I recently found Checkie and I love it. Easy to use. Fast interface. Exactly what I was looking for. My check ins are a breeze and I can't recommend this app enough. Excellent job!

Fast, light, always works. I love Swarm but it is often too memory intensive for my iPhone 5. Every few days, Swarm inexplicably freezes and won't unfreeze. I have to do a clean reinstall every few weeks. Which brings me to Checkie. Checkie is super-light, super-fast, and has never choked or frozen. Admittedly, Checkie doesn't offer all the features Swarm does. But Checkie always works. If Checkie didn't exist, it would have been necessary to invent it. Moreover, if Checkie didn't exist, I might have given up checking in out of frustration. A must-have app for the diehard checkin enthusiast.

It works. It's fast. It's awesome.. I was excited to see this concept, as I've been searching for a quick check-in app ever since my favorite one got broken when 4sq started requiring API v2 use by all clients. I was skeptical, having discovered many popular apps offer check-ins that don't count towards mayorship. Yet, this one actually does! And it's simple, so you can get on with life. Thank you, Checkie, for check-in sanity!

Great Companion to the Official Apps. I love Gowalla & Foursquare, and wanted a way to check in to both at once, and I found this app from Foursquare's site. I was a little worried because it had no reviews but it was worth $.99 to try. It's great! It does exactly what I want. It pulls up the closest Gowalla and Foursquare spots in the same list, and I select one of each, tap Check In, add a message and/or post to FB or Twitter if I want, and done! It even tells me how many Foursquare points I got. Im checked in to both in less than 20 seconds from launching the app. Super simple, very fast and reliable, and very intuitive. Everything I was looking for and nothing extra. Love it!

Really easy to use. Checkie is a quick access list of all available options for check ins. Sometimes it's much better to use this one click app than it is to open the full blown Foursquare App.

Made for Check-in Junkies. Recent Foursquare updates have made the app more of a discovery service like yelp. These guys have stripped every bit of that and made a text-only check-in service that hooks into Foursquare. Next thing to do is somehow integrate auto check-in ;) based on location.

Was perfect. Now perfecter.. If you check in compulsively and are not always looking to use 4sq's great-but-sometimes-unnecessary explore and review features, this is your app. And the new swipe method erases the possibility for oops checkins (yes, it is that easy to check in with this). Who knew you could improve a perfect, clean app? Now if there was only a Yelp version...

Simplicity is always the best. The app works flawlessly and does what it says it does - that is open up the app, wait for it to search, tap the venue and it checks you in.

Awesome. So quick, I wish foursquare would integrate w ios for the kind of quick checkin ability checkie gives you. Until then it's a no-brainer!

Nice, Simple Utility. Now that it defaults to not publishing check-ins to your connected accounts, this app works exactly the way I'd hoped it would. It's a dead-simple way to check in on Foursquare when you don't need all the extra features of the Foursquare app.

Very nice!. Much faster than waiting for the Four Square app to load, especially since their upgrade! When using a drive through it has to be fast, no texting and driving!!!

One of the most useful apps!. I knew this update was coming because I contacted the dev and he assured me that it will be fixed. As seen in my original review below, customer service by this dev is fantastic. I think you will find this worthy of five stars! So much faster. I love the simplicity! I don't usually like posting to other social networks, but in those rare occasions the option is great! It is a great implementation that still kept the simplicity I love. On another front, this developer takes feedback seriously. The response time was the best that could have been expected. It's good to know that the app is actively being worked on & for that hard work, we as consumers should consider donating or paying for this app. Bravo Tim, thanks for your speedy reply!

Great app. Quick and simple, works perfectly. I am a Foursquare addict but like many I often find myself wanting to check in to Gowalla and even Yelp and Facebook. This app currently does a fantastic job of checking in to Foursquare and Gowalla, it is even faster than checking in than each of the official apps. If you are in a hurry or on an edge connection it is especially convenient. Bottom line, I am recommending this to my friends and would happily pay for it. Download it!

Works nicely, and with good VoiceOver support!. It’s so much quicker to check into a venue than with the Swarm app - with all of Swarm’s stupid pop ups. This app is very usable with VoiceOver as well.

Rapid check-in app!. Rapid foursquare check-in without any kind of delays. Shows frequent check-in locations as well as ones where people have already checked in. Search works very well too.

[REVISED Feb '14] Works great. They seem to have fixed the bugs from an earlier version. App works great now. For new places, I prefer using 4sq to get all the details to make sure I have the right place. But for places you go to regularly, it's great!

Fast and lightweight on the phone. Buttttt rather slow to load on Apple Watch. I end up having to open my phone a lot instead.

The only way to use 4square. I've had this app for years, and with the updates, and Watch app, it just gets better.

Check in with blazing speed. Absolutely the fastest way to check in! And it is a voice over compatible so I can use it even though I'm blind! Great job

works, but is a bit counter entuative. The app is wonderful and easy to use. I love the voice over hints the dev put in. How ever the bur under my skin is this. I have to relaunch the app by killing it from the app switcher then relaunching it just to get it to refresh. The 3 finger swipe down, pull down with 1 finger for the sighted, does not work any longer. over all I'd give this app a go if I were you.

Problem: Perfect & Quick, but annoying. REVIEW REVISED: While I love this app, the latest update has brought an annoying behavior: it asks me EVERY TIME if I will write a review. Obviously I already have, and I even re-reviewed it after the 10th time it asked me. But still the annoying behavior continues, and there is no way to contact the developer except by leaving this review which expresses my disappointment! Aaaaaah! This app does one thing and does it very well. It couldn't be easier to check in on 4sq (and others, but I don't use those) than by using this app. It has earned a place on my home screen!

Fastest foursquare app out there. I love this app! It comes in handy when I'm racing my friends to check in first! It takes 3 steps on vanilla Foursquare to check in, but just one with Checkie!

Quick and easy!. Very convenient and quick to use when you just want to checkin to a place and not bother with the 4sq apps load time. Could fix a couple of issues like re-checkin to a place next day; properly locating where you are.

Very helpful. Definitely a great app. I love foursquare, but I do agree that quite a few taps are necessary in order to check in. This speeds it up and does exactly what it says it does! A must-have for every foursquare user.

Fast and Simple. Amazingly simple visuals and interface make this app the fastest way to check into commonly visited places. I still use Foursquare's app for exploring new places but this is invaluable for the repeats. It doesn't let you check in to one place twice in a row even on different days which seems like a weird constraint.

Great streamlined check in experience. Checking in is definitely faster with this app. The only downside is at times it could be difficult to verify if it is the correct location because it does not display the distance like the official app. But overall it is fantastically fast and to the point.

Awesome for usual places. Personally, I still use foursquare to check into new restaurants (see what to order etc) or places (events) where other friends might be, but for grocery stores, transit, and other daily basic not interesting check ins it's great. I actually tried dif apps that promise the same and was deleting them one by one. Was surprised I didn't have to delete this one. And even left it on phones main page and hid away fsquare into a folder. Only issue...doesn't let you check in a friend that's also on foursquare that's w u.

Fast version of four square. much faster checkin without the clutter. minimal taps needed to checkin. It could be improved for instances where u need to check into the same place consecutively on different days

Simple and perfect. I love foursquare, but the amount of time it takes to check in is a while, until I discovered checkie. It makes foursquare so easy and makes checking in much faster! All you do is find your location, swipe it to the right and boom you checked in it's that simple 😊

I use it more than Foursquare. The only time I use the Foursquare app is to check the leaderboard. Now I always get first check in points because I've already checked in while my friends are still loading Fouraquare. Love this app.

Private check-ins!. Without Checkie it would be much harder to use Foursquare/Swarm as a journal. It's great for job interviews, gift shopping, and the mundane stuff you don't care to share.

Simple, fast and easy. I used to thought that Swarm was fast until I met this app. Even in a slow 3G connection, check-in options appear in just a few seconds, making it much better than Swarm. Highly recommend it.

Simple and quick. The only real complaint I have is that it would be nice to have a loading spinner as sometimes I'm not sure whether the request is being handled or not.

Swarm made me do it. Foursquare's Swarm fiasco leaves Checkie as my best option for JUST CHECKING IN. All that's missing is the little insights I used to enjoy in the Foursquare app after checking in. A pox on you, Foursquare.

A little larger than it should be..... It's competitor in the droid version is 4x less in size. Howver, this app works great and hopefully people will start to use it so that foursquare decides to remove Swarm from it's inventory.

Crashes Constantly. The recent update to this app took a wonderful tool and made it completely useless! It crashes constantly, and now I'm forced to use less user-friendly alternatives. Not happy at all with the update.
