Intuitive and feature-ful, with just one annoyance. This is a nice, well-maintained little feed reader. I started using it to keep up with my Google Reader account, and I liked it immediately. When Google Reader was nearing the end of its life, I found that Feeddler was already prepared to let me use a number of compatible alternatives (I settled on BazQux). Kudos to the author for keeping it up. I consider it one star short of perfection due to the lack of a landscape orientation when browsing headlines. Landscape mode can still be used while reading, but then I have to keep rocking my iPhone back and forth when switching between articles and headlines; it's almost worse than having no landscape mode at all. I still like the app well enough that I may buy into the paid version.

Good replacement for Feedly. I tried this RSS reader because Feedly had just gotten too greedy. You couldn’t even save to Pocket anymore without paying their ridiculously high monthly fee. So I tried Feedler and was impressed. The layout is very good, there are a lot of options, and it’s a one-time purchase to get rid of the ads instead of a stupid monthly fee. All in all it works very well. I deducted one star Because webpages are displayed with their own internal browser, which isn’t very good, especially for ad heavy sites. And there’s no option to make safari the default browser. At least you can use the option to open webpages in Safari instead. But that’s an annoying extra tap.

Great app!. Always works for me. Thanks for going back to the classic orange colored app icon!

Pretty nice interface. I like the features considering its a free version. I don't know if I would use many of the upgraded features because of time constraints. Overall, good app, worth downloading. I have definitely had problems with the app though. After a certain time the graphics get...'weird'. Words and headings start moving in different ways than normally. Sometimes it is constantly "Loading" even after the content is synched. I thought my problems were due to my phone being old and outdated, but I just got the 4Gs and it continues.

Poor ad integration. I know, you aren't supposed to complain about the ads on a "free" app. But they are so poorly done that they're making me look elsewhere rather than cough up to "support this developer." He gets paid whichever version I use (ad revenue or share of purchase price), so why should the ad-supported version make the app unusable? What I'm talking about is the size, placement, and animations of the ads that do two things: (1) There is an annoying jump in the article list when the ad box rolls over, making you have to re-scroll back to where you were each time. (2) I doubt I'm the only one who finds it literally impossible to read the full body of an article within the app, except possibly by putting a piece of paper over the ads. The human eye just can't read text when there is a nearby colored animation drawing attention away every few seconds. Find the article in Feeddler and then have to switch to Safari to actually read it? Not very productive. I can understand giving away a preview version of an app for free so people can decide whether to buy the "pro" version. But using a revenue stream, the ads, to cripple the demo version seems wrong to me, and makes me not want to support the developer. Oh, and except for the fact that the ad implementation makes it useless, the underlying app seems to have been done pretty well.

This is my To Go App. It keeps getting better. With the latest update to allow selecting notebooks when sending to Evernote, I can't think of anything else that I want with this app. One of my jobs is a part time medical librarian. It allows me to gets feeds no matter where I am and forward to the people who are interested as well as save the posts to locations were others have access to them. It's fast, easy, compressive and it more than gets the job done.

Good but needs work. I really like this app over the normal Google reader I use however I have some issues that are preventing me from upgrading to the pro version: first, how do I star an article? It looks like it's just marking as read or unread. Second, when I mark all articles as read, it doesn't refresh the article list. Even after re-syncing, and with it set to only show me unread/new articles, the articles I just marked as read still show. Fix those, and I'll pay to upgrade.

Want to like it, but crashes on me a lot. I continue my search for a decent RSS reader, I use MobileRSS Pro on the iPhone and wish they would do an iPad version. I tried feeddler and really wanted to like it enough to buy the better version but it crashes on me a lot when navigating via the left panel, and for some reason my starred items never seems to update? I have no starred items on Google ( having read them all and un-starred ) and it still will not remove them when performing sync, even having forced it manually many times. Make it reliable with sync and fix the crashes and you would have a good app.

Almost perfect, BUT.... I've been using this app for years, it's powerful, beautifully designed, and overall enjoyable to use. However, there is an incredibly frustrating issue that may force me to stop using it: some less reputable RSS feed's will actively bounce you over to the App Store without you tapping on anything. This is an infuriating behavior when you're just trying to read an article, and it simply should not be possible. Web browsers have long restricted pop-up windows to occur only when a click happens, I see no reason why this app should be any different. I would gladly purchase the Pro version of the app if I thought it would eliminate this behavior, but that seems unlikely.

Best RSS reader I've tried. I've tried a few RSS readers before and this one is by far the best one. It syncs perfectly with Google Reader so I can go from my computer to my iPad or iPhone without any problems. It looks great on the iPad's big screen and it makes great use of the iPhone's smaller one. The part that I love the most is the fact that it shows the unread count over 20 for each feed. I've used some other apps and they only show the latest 20 or so unread posts, so if you don't check it for a while, you'll definitely miss some. I went on vacation for a week and when I came back I had a lot more than 20 unread posts on each feed and Feeddler gave me a true count. I don't find the ads intrusive, even on the iPhone where there is less room for the actual content. It's a small price to pay in order to keep this app free. The only problem I have with this app, however, is that if you use it for a while it gets a little buggy and some strange animations start popping up. If you just close the app in the multitasking pane at the bottom and then open it back up again, it's fine. Even with that, I would still recommend this app, especially to people who follow a lot of news sites or blogs, like I do.

For years, the first thing I open in the morning.. Clean and simple. By far the best RSS. RSS still matters. You have so much control.

Very Good RSS Reader. I use NetNewsWire on my Mac and iPhone but at $10 for the iPad version, they priced themselves out of a purchase from me. The free version of Feeddler is a very good alternative since it interfaces well with Google Reader and I don't really need the ability to download and read off line, the primary feature difference with the paid version. However, I knocked off one star because the app has no way to post links directly to Twitter, Delicious, Diigo, or a blog. In fact, they make it very difficult to even get a link to the original page since it's not displayed in their in-app browser. Those connections would be worth the additional star or possibly even paying for it.

Good reader to quickly get through lots of feeds. This is a good reader to get through lots of feeds quickly, particularly when I just want to scan through the titles. It would be a 5star review if I could display the titles only, and if it would advance to the next feed or folder when I mark all as read. I would also like t o be able to record a show by feed or by folder setting for each folder like I can on NetNewsWire on the Mac. I have some folders of Feeds that I want to review by themselves because of the volume of news items in that feed but other groups of feeds where I just want to get through the entire group; I tend to scan through titles very quickly, only actually reading a few feeds.

Great feed reader!. I tried BlogLovin and Feedly, but I just didn't like the lack of organization in them. I much prefer to be able to read the blog I want with ease; some days I only have time to read a few posts, and am looking for the info usually given from a particular blog. I don't want to waste time digging through every single post that has been made from every single blog I subscribe to at those times! With this app, I can put my blogs into categories that easily let me read about "allergy cooking" or "money" without digging through "arts and crafts" or "parenting" blogs. Later, when I have time, I can go back and read everything...but I LOVE the option to not be forced to every time I open the reader! Great app!

Great Google Reader app. This is as good a Google Reader app as I have found so far for the iPad. It's quick, allows you to mark items unread or read, and retains these settings when made previously through the GReader web page. Almost a 5, but waiting to see what the update improves on. For example, it only syncs 15 articles at a time, after which you have to go out to the main screen and sync again. It would be great if it did this automatically in the background.

Easiest RSS reader to use, sync with Google Reader. Some people claim "RSS is dying", but that's only true if the internet is dying. RSS simply collects the news sources you want to read and compiles them an a universal, easy-to-browse format. And no app that I've found conveys that format in a more direct fashion than Feeddler. It's similar enough to Google Reader on your PC that you can pick it up and know how to use it. More importantly, it doesn't clutter up the screen with useless garbage, loads fast, and has other options such as allowing you to cache articles for offline reading (huge for WiFi users). Flipbook and a lot of the "prettier" news collectors get more attention, but those are different things, in my opinion. An app like Flipbook is basically grabbing a bunch of relevant material and throwing it out there. The content is displayed randomly and not in any predictable order. If you're serious about finding out the most recent news in your topic, you can manage your Google Reader account and have all of the content sorted for you in neat fashion with Feeddler. And the adds on the free version haven't even been annoying enough for me to bother with an upgrade (yet)!

Good reader, couple of oddities. I use it multiple times a day, and it really is better than most apps that perform the same function. Mostly a solid, simple, straightforward interface. Two things that confuse me though: why no landscape position in the reader, but landscape is allowed in browser (that is after I follow a link) orientation? If I could only view in portrait, fine, I can accept that. But the fact that I often view news pages in landscape and the when I return to the feed it forces me back to portrait is frustrating. Second, when does the app force a refresh of the feed? After exit and return? After a time limit? When mars aligns with Pluto? I am unable to find a pattern. I can force am update and any time, however the app can do do on its own, for seemingly no rhyme or reason. Still, very good RSS feed reader. Worth trying out, it might just be the one you keep.

Best one so far, with room for improvement. I like a lot about this (switched from online use of Google Reader and use of NetNewsWire on the iPhone) but it's got some room to improve. The sync reliability has been spotty, as NetNewsWire on the Mac and Google Reader online often show different unread counts and indicators than does Feeddler. I'd also like to see an indication of read/unread counts while looking at articles in a subscription feed, and a "next unread" option would be great. That said, this tromps the current version of NetNewsWire on the iPhone into the ground, and I'm generally quite pleased.

Mark ALL As Read?. I was really happy when I heard about Feeddler for the iPad, I actually think it's a really good rss reader except for one big problem, there is only one way to mark items as read, either open it or mark EVERYTHING as read. I made the mistake of clicking mark all as read and it marked everything in my backlog as read, not just the 50 or so headlines it was displaying. I strongly urge the developers to add some sort of "mark visible headlines as read" option instead of marking every single item, even ones that aren't being displayed.

Bait and switch. Initially the app description didn't mention that the app would expire after a certain number of days. I got a message today that informs me that I need to buy some "pro" version if I want to keep sync functionality. No thanks. I'd rather have an app that is up front with it's fees instead of trying to pull this cr@p on users. Uninstall... *Update* Version 1.4 - So they replaced the "Sync" button to a "Pro" button to more effectively communicate that there is a paid version that will provide global sync capabilities. Overall this is a decent RSS reader but instead of giving my $4.99 to Feeddler, I think I'll pass that money onto Reeder instead. Much better app for reading feeds in a simple and elegant UI. if you are considering paying for the "Pro" version of Feeddler, I recommend first looking into Reeder. *Update* 1.5 The only thing this app has going for it is that it is universal. Other than that I would rather pay for two separate Reeder apps. If you are even considering this do yourself a favor and do a search for Reeder, it is by far the best RSS reader on the iOS platform.

Garbage. Been using this paid app for over 8 years. At one time, it was the best rss reader out there. No longer the case. The ability to read the full text of an article no longer functions anymore. If you want to view the full text of an article, you’re forced to use the web view, instead. And, the web view is full of annoying ads and pop ups all over the place. Fortunately, Newsify RSS Reader, to the rescue. Newsify is now my goto rss reader. Feeddler is garbage.

Latest update. Keeps reloading the same content over and over.

Looks like it’s dead under iOS 17.4. No updates in 3 years and it seems to have stopped working yesterday after I updated os (or maybe the old reader login is just broken) but I found the app RSS Mobile that doesn’t need any logins or nag about premium features for in app purchase.

Almost perfect. Sorry, Feedler, I can't give you that fifth star. But to other readers, this is a GREAT newsreader. I've never had a sync problem and you can edit folders inside the app. The action menus are extremely customizable. All in all a fabulous program. There's just a few problems and one bug. 1. I wish it had a manual sync option. It wants to sync every time you open a folder and I like to clear my RSS out before I get new articles. 2. Readitlater, Instapaper, Delicious, etc integration. Non-Safari browser integration would be awesome as well. 3. The bug. If you switch away from the app while it's loading, when you return to it a second loading wheel pops up and it never goes away. You have to close the program, which is made more of a pain by the way iOS works. Still, well worth the download. And I just realized I have the free version! I'm giving them (and Apple) some money right now!

Love that you stay in app when following links. I Really like this app. But there was a learning curve to get used to it. When you follow a link while in the app you actually stay in the app which makes it really easy to navigate. Up in the right-hand corner while you're in the app you will see you back arrow or several back arrows and then RSS button. The back arrow takes you back one step the RSS takes you right back to the feed. I haven't had any trouble with the app and I'm really glad I got it

Does the job!. This app has really increased my work productivity! I use google alerts to track hundreds of issues and DC policy actions for my clients which just takes lots and lots of time scanning through stuff...this app brings the full power of google reader to my iPhone and allows me to fill the small moments (elevator ride, metro, boiling water, slow conference calls) with a few moments of productivity and manage the overwhelming flow of information. I just star or push the good stuff out through email. Amazingness!

Need some clarification on future direction. I absolutely LOVE this google reader client and of the half dozen or more clients I have tried this has risen to the top. After about 1.5 years of using this I can't imagine reading RSS feeds without it. I am very concerned though about the lack of updates (none in 2013 so far) and silence about the impending shutdown of google reader services which this is dependent upon. My fear is this will cease to work on July 1 and I will have to use another client (feedly *shudder*). Can we PLEASE get some clarification and better yet an update, that will use feedly or digg back-end for storing feeds and read status so we can keep using this client?

My go-to RSS reader. Except for a few difficulties with settings... it just works.

WOW!!. I think I have found the killer app so I can quit carrying my laptop and tons of books to my classes. I can access my Office 2007 files through my wifi and edit them on my iPad. There are some display problems. I noticed a few tabbed sections in a Word 2007 document not displaying exactly as they showed on my desktop. I was able to build formulas and select functions in Excel 2007. When done, I was able to save the changes back to my desktop. Set up and sync is almost brainless. I will not need to import files through iTunes now. This app can only get better and I am already willing to give it 5 big stars.

Very Straightforward RSS Reader.. I am currently using this app on my iPhone 4s and it's the only suitable RSS reader for the iPhone in my opinion. I am currently using the free version but I will upgrade to pro as soon as I receive my new iPad. I love that this app is universal. I love that there's no fluff, there's just news. Another plus is that this app is very customizable. I do not like that there's only two themes to choose from: day or night. The day is extremely bright and white and plain. The black is too dark; I can't read any of the headlines, let alone to actual text. I would like to see the developer add at least one other theme that is much easier on the eyes and is more relaxing than in-your-face bright or dark. That is the only correction I would make at this point and time to the app. It is my default RSS reader and it will stay my default RSS reader, especially if the developer adds a different theme(s).

Works well with room to improve. Having come from the Droid RSS reader, this app's responsiveness is impressive. Whether I have 300 or 2,000 articles, it handles them without a second thought. At the same time, the Droid gReader downloads all the articles so there aren't any lags trying to load more articles in a larger subscription folder ( like it does in this app). I can't seem to find a setting in the free version that corrects this. Basically it means I have to have a data connection to get more than 50 articles in a single subscription. If that doesn't bother you and/or you don't have that many articles each day/week, this is definitely an app for you.

Great app, couple of issues. A fast RSS reader app! Works great with Google reader - even lets me star, mark unread, etc., same as on a PC. You can read a folder's worth of feeds, or just a single feed. Can also view all, or just unread. Some issues: no back/forward button when viewing original item - if you've followed a couple of links you can't get back a screen or two without going back to the original feed article. Also, no option to display pictures in the article list. Makes it difficult to read my lolcats feed! One bug: when you follow a link to an app store web page, and swipe to view the app screens, the page switches to the next feed article. Very annoying.

Yeah, it works, but.... No offline support: if the service is offline (like OldReader has been on and off recently) there's no recovery, just "Error". Feeds take ages to load and sometimes just fail to do so; tapping the feed again will retry with no problem the next time. But the ADS always work! Mystery Meat Navigation: there's no browser back button until you have browser history, and no forward button till you use said back button. And those buttons are easily confused with the feed back and forward buttons. Clunky Ui: the interface just isn't as elegant as the app I had before (which unfortunately became abandonware and still only used google reader). There's no immediate feedback that clicking a link is now loading the page; you just have to wait for the internet to respond, which can take forever sometimes even on good internet connections. And the Ads get annoying... Especially since they take up what feels like a third of the screen space in landscape mode. But that's ok, because it just means it motivates me to work on my replacement app for myself.

Keeps logging me out. Constantly getting an error and it logs me out of my google account. Very frustrating.

Needs customizable font options. Would be nice to be able to access default fonts in iOS. The sans font is tiresome.

Great app, use everyday. A great, free app for a great service Google Reader is a great service, when you are using a conventional computer but it has been a pain on the iPhone since every so often that you go off to look up the webpage directly it tags the article as read and it is no longer there. Feedler gets it right by allowing you to have a cache, so that you don't have problems when you come back to the RSS feed. I use this every day along with Podcaster and NPR News.

Fast and simple - if only.... ...it let me specify the "page" size. I subscribe to the Google "News" package and a few other RSS feeds. If I don't keep up, I can easily have several hundred new article headers to scroll wade through. I didn't count the number of article headers you get per page, but whatever it is, it isn't enough - I find myself constantly hitting the "See more" button :-( Other than that, it's a great app - I no longer have to visit the individual news sites. Addendum: never mind - I had not tried the "auto-load new articles" when I wrote this - with that turned on, pages are a non-issue! Now it is 5 stars for me!

Great RSS reader. Nice clean interface with excellent navigation options. Good Mark All Read function, but no Mark Previous Read which would be nice. I have quite a lot of feeds, and Feeedler handles them very well. The Google Reader sync is excellent and consistently solid. Great sharing options to other services. I have tried several RSS reader apps and keep coming back to Feedler because of its functionality, layout and navigation. I am giving it 4 stars because of some minor issues that I have had and because it is giving me daily pop-up notifications to rate the app, which I am now doing to hopefully make those stop. I love Feedler, but I really dislike that. In short, I highly recommend Feedler.

Unable to log in after update. Update broke the app. No response from support. Unable to login. Goes back to account selection of trying to use google to log in.

Bug in last release. Look like in infinite loop... perhaps interrupt of interrupt .

Excellent iPad RSS Reader. I've been waiting for version 1.3 to be released because I want Instapaper support which will be available in the Pro version. I've been constantly checking the App Store for the update and it has finally come. I like that you have the option of viewing all articles or just unread articles. Since I've heard other apps don't give you the option and only display unread articles, and therefore those articles aren't available in the app once you've read them, I'm sticking with Feeddler. You can also sort each listing by oldest or newest articles first which I think is great. The new interface is nice and there are more options for working with the articles now. As of this writing the Pro version of 1.3 is not available but I will be purchasing it as soon as it is. This is the best RSS app available for the iPad. I recommend you help support the developer and buy the Pro version they've done a great job.

Works well as a Google Reader for iPhone. I use it constantly, overall quite happy with it. One little but important problem... If the wifi / 3G signal is weak, when the app attempts to sync, it will stall and freeze. One must then reboot the phone to unfreeze it as the app won't close after this either. Fortunately this only seems to occur when I attempt to use it in a low signal area... works great everywhere else. Ad supported, so it's free. I don't know if the Pro version is ad free or not, the paid app version of description doesn't say. If it has ads also, not sure why you'd pay for it?

The best Google reader app.. I bought MobileRss, Newsrack but Feeddler is the one I use everyday. What I really like about Feeddler (and only available with Feeddler): 1. A simple/sleek interface just like the Google Reader. Well, maybe it's not for everyone. Some people may prefer "fancier" interfaces. But I just like to be able to use the Google Reader interface that I'm familiar with. Nice and clean. 2. Full screen mode! Both landscape and portrait. I don't understand why the other apps won't let me read FULL-SCREEN with landscape mode. Like some other reviewer said, Feeddler seems to be the only one app that "really gets it". 3. Easy/intuitive way to navigate to the next item. You can press the arrow buttons at the bottom. Or simply do the swiping. Sounds easy huh? Strangely enough none of the other apps really does this simple task as half as good. The only feature I would want is the ability to note. Otherwise I really have no complaints. Especially considering this is free. I will buy the pro version now to show support for the developers (and the instapaper integration). But the free version is really great enough. Thanks a lot for this.

It's fast.. Out of the many iPhone RSS readers I've tried this is definitely the fastest most responsive. One feature I would like to see though is the ability to view all feeds in a folder at the same time, instead of having to select the feeds individually in each folder. Although I will most likely still be using this as my primary rss reader, just because it's so much faster and without hang ups than anything else. All this on an iPhone 3G, can't wait to see how it does on the new iPhone.

Excellent. My go to feed reader

One of the BEST Programs on my iPad!. I read a lot of articles and have always been a fan of google reader for this task. Now that I was able to sync all my articles to this program, I NEVER have gone back to the web. This program is fast, and then some. The layout is clean and it intuitively supports all the functions you would expect is a fantastic RSS aggregator. I love this program! I felt the need to amend this review to say to the developers, good job! Every update makes this program better and better! Thanks guys!

4.9 Star rating, but giving 5 stars. Feeddler seems to offer virtually everything I want from an RSS feed application. Displaying the real count of unread feeds is a plus, though not as relevant as I previously thought. The feature I feel is missing: the ability to select multiple entries, then convert them to "having been read" without reading them. I consistently have over 2,000 unread feeds. I'd like to reduce that to a useable #, so it would be more apparent that I have new information to check/read. At this point the only way to mark entries as having been read, is to click on them and then go back one screen. Would be a HUGE help if, as I recognize 10 posts that I'm not interested in reading I could simply select all 10 and label as "having been read". That's the only recommendation I am aware of at this point. We're that feature introduced, this would be a no-brainer 5 stars. But given I am an app developer myself, and I understand the importance of a 5 star rating, I have "rounded up" my rating out of empathy. Many thanks.

Best RSS news reader. I’ve used this RSS reader since it came out and the previous version. This is the RSS news reader you want. The layout is simple and easy to organize. It works with many services and allows you to use more than one. I highly recommend this app.

Works Quite Well with the New Version. I've used a lot of RSS readers, and this one isn't perfect but it's very good. This performance is very good, and it's got good navigation forward and back. It also has a rather unique feature that you can make it mark posts as read when they scroll out of view. I find this makes it really easy to go through really big lists of links very quickly, because you don't have to explicitly mark each one is read when you ignore. The developer is active, and seems to be updating it regularly. All in all, quite a good reader and I'm very happy with it.

RSS is open, so why make me log in?. This isn’t so much an rss reader as it is a data-mining tool. It forces you to use one of several cloud based news readers to view content. That’s all and fine for some, but to be forced to do so is pretty unappealing for privacy minded folks.

Great app. Very pleased with the app, only bug is the perpetual "loading" box occasionally. Need to kill app in app manager and open again to resolve problem.

Simple and effective. What all apps should be like. Ads get a bit annoying though and paid version is too expensive.

Powerful & stable. Very stable and useful RSS reader. Clean and simple layout, not as visually arresting as some but easy to navigate. Intuitive to use. I love that I can follow links and threads a long way within Feeddler and then, when I'm done with that feed, just press the arrow to get to the next feed.

Blog heaven. Easy to use, add new pages and navigate - saves me hours (seriously) bringing all of my fave blogs into one app on my iPad - I hit the tab and have all the latest updates ready and waiting for me...

Best google reader client I've used. I've been using google reader as my preferred way of reading blogs for some years and have tried a few different apps to transfer it to my iPad and iPhone. Feeddler is either best one I found. I've since deleted the other ones. Considered going pro, but the price is quite steep for not much benefit as the free version is so good!

Great App. I really enjoy using this App. It syncs beautifully with Google Reader. The navigation buttons and screen transitions are smooth and intuitive. The night feature (black background) is really readable and I prefer it all the time. Overall in incredibly good App.

Love this app. The only issue i have is sometimes the loading symbol takes longer than i would like it to. Overall best rss reader i have used

Really love it. Love this app. It blends seamlessly with google reader. Would only be better if I could post comments without having to open in Safari and if I could 'pin' from the app.

Great app. Love this app. Very handy for reading feeds. The only improvement I would like is easier to use and clearer browser capability once you've clicked a link within a feed.

Freezes up loading occasionally. Pretty good. Would like keep unread on screen. It freezes up on loading screen sometimes requiring reboot phone.

Great. Ads in free version are not too intrusive, connection to InstaPaper is really useful. Google 2 step password gets forgotten from time to time, but not often enough for it to be a problem.

Very happy. As an avid iPhone reader I find this app adds the ease and polish I need and gives a significant boost over the standard Google product. Competence without fuss - excellent.

Love it!. I love this app and I'm glad that it has been updated to use other services since google have shut down google reader. Keep up the good work on this app guys!

Simply awesome. Considering that I use my google reader as primary source of markets and economy analyzing, this app is heavenly. It's now rare that I use the reader on my desktop as this has taken over. Must have for rss addicts.

Free and does what you need. A few quirks, but doesn't really phase the experience of flicking through your favourite feeds while you're forever alone at a cafe

Great RSS reader. I have been exploring using social media to increase my lead generation and find this fantastic to use in getting through the many bogs and would highly recommend this app

Potential. Has potential to be the best, I find the title text too large, would be nice to adjust and sometime it bugs at the loading screen. Still better than most other free rss readers :D

Good except for the "loading...." stuck issue. Sometimes just hangs with the loading dialogue when syncing. Needs a cancel button added or something to get 5 stars from me. I usually have to reboot phone to fix this error. Everything else works great though! Good app except for this one bug.

Functional.. This is the most solid RSS reader I've discovered in the App Store. It never fails to retrieve my feeds from the legendary service, "The Old Reader", the two being tightly integrated. I also love that I can save what I've read to Pocket; however, I'll appreciate not having to press "More" to get to it. In addition, automatically opening the link in Chrome if need be. The Dark Mode is the killer feature that keeps bringing me back!!

Pretty excellent. Easy to use, works very well. Maybe could use a better "back" navigation system when visiting external links so that you can go back to the article/page you were on and not back to the rss feed

Yay. Occasionally buggy, but the price is right. Plus it always works fine after a restart. I like that you can view your feeds offline (as long as they've already been downloaded, obvs)

Good reader app. Good app, easy to read feeds, keep certain ones unread or open links in safari. Annoying: that banner ad down the bottom - surely there can be a paid version to get rid of that? And also images don't zoom in the app (and their alt text isn't displayed).

it's an app that you'd pay for without a doubt. I've literally just downloaded this app and I have to say (even though I probably haven't even used all the app's features yet) that it's very, VERY well done. Its professional, clean and I'll put it this way, it's an app that you'd pay for without a doubt. Why only 4 stars? Well I haven't used it long enough to say it's perfect so I'm just being prudent :- ) But I'm guessing that it'll be a 5 star app based on what I have seen so far! Cheers to the developer(s)? appreciate your effort!

A really good RSS app. I've been using this app for a while now and I think it's one of the best RSS apps around. Few interface improvements would do nicely (navigation to links from feeds is a bit clunky), but they are not essential.

Great app to replace safari RSS functionality. Was a bit worried when safari lost RSS functionality, however this app has proved to be a better alternative. Presenting everything nicely and syncing between iPad and iPhone is great, i would like a Mac client by this company too though!

Fantastic. I've been using feeddler pro for some time now. Absolutely love this new version for ios 8. The developer has refined this app really well.

Great rss reader. Best free rss reader I have tried. Very accessible with Vioce Over. There are a few unlabeled buttons which should be cleared up. It is worth buying the pro version just to support such excellent development.

Best rss reader app at the moment. Best RSS reader app i have used, one suggestion is to add a 'mark this page as read' button. Been using this for a while, got a recommendation to switch to feedly. Tried, the ui design was great, but the sync and functions were so bad, does not even refresh feed count when loaded. Feedly -1

Best RSS Reader for IOS. A perfect companion for people who always hungry for up to date news. And to use Google Reader as a single source makes it even better when you move from one device to another. But the developer needs to think beyond July 2013 where Google Reader will be killed of. How to achieve a single source without its presence? A big hole that needs to be filled in.

Overall good. This is the best free newsreader I've found and I've tried a few. It occasionally gets stuck on the loading screen and you have to power cycle your phone to clear it but still good.

Pretty good. Works well. Reliable. Seems not to have a 'background' process to update feeds and notify when new items arrive. Must manually check by opening the app. Handling of images in feeds could be improved by allowing zoom/full screen - one of my feeds has images which I can only see fully on the iPad app.

Easy to use, high quality, problem-free app.. Synchs perfectly with Google Reader. Easy to navigate. Displays posts and images well. I don't think it has ever crashed on me. Use it nearly every day. Highly recommended!

Not the reader for me. This Reader, like so many others, does not handle images the way I want them to be handled. I read a number of comic strips and want to be able to expand them to the point of frame by frame so I can read the dialogue. This Reader auto scales the strip to the orientation of the iPhone screen and does not allow me to scale manually.

Feedback. I use this app everyday ! The plus is it brings all my blogs together & its free the only bug is that it 'loads' continually on occasion and a phone reboot is required! And a folder system would be nice

Ok. Feeder is ok. Works well and is quick enough. Zoom in and out can be a bit annoying and can't email from within the app. Other than that is fun.

Almost five stars. Great RSS reader, with only one major issue. If I try and update in an area with poor/no reception and then close the app, when relaunching it will update the feeds but the "loading" overlay from the previous session remains, making the app unusable without force quitting and reopening. This doesn't break the app, but makes it a bit annoying to use sometimes. Last update didn't fix it either.

Easy to Use. Great way to quickly browse short headlines of many RSS feeds from multiple news sources you choose. Easy to flick through. Better than twitter in that respect.

Pretty good. Nice app. Does what it sets out to do, give me access to rss feeds from across e web. Linking to my Google Reader account is a nice added feature. thanks for the great app guys :)

Almost.... I really like this free app, my first RSS reader for the iPad. Only issues I have are: * No obvious way to refresh all feeds, and sometimes the unread count in the subscription list do not match the individual feeds; * No obvious way to go back to an article after a jump - if you read more and it takes you to a web article, then you click on another link (or more) you then can't go back to the preceding page, only options are canceling out or back to the feed's headline or other articles; * Would be good to get a preview of a few sentences of the article under the headlines; and * The ability to batch mark articles as read or starred right there on the feed's summary. It doesn't seem the Pro version addresses these points.

Problem free. The ability for the free version to cache loaded items lets you read offline on the train. UI is slick. Might even pay for proper offline access.

Fantastic. Excellent app - I keep all my news on it and its so easy to use and set up. Just works, doesn't harass you, just does what it's meant to do

Functional but unpolished. It does everything I would want, but frequently locks up for a few seconds, handles bad connection poorly (goes to login page when internet drops out), swipe gesture is not animated and easy to do accidentally, article doesn’t load if close gesture is started and not completed

This just what I wanted. This a great app, have been wanting to know what is at there at a glance and this gives me all the info I want instantly and I Cna favourite them as well. Bonus.

really good. cons: only problem I have with the program is when i use it for too long the gyro stuffs up and I have to close the whole application for 10 mins before trying to use it again. would like to see a repeat tag option, so I don't have to re write the tag per feed. pros: love how easy it is to use, the option to keep all my feeds up on my iPad, but only have the unread ones available on the smaller iPhone screen. very easy to send feeds to Evernote. great format. overall I really like using this app, would recommend it to anyone.

Great app. Easy and simple to use, and reliable. Would like to know how to delete read items tho.

Brilliant. I've been using this App for a couple of years now and it has not let me down yet. My daily read b4 bed

Better if all feeds worked!. Not bad if you're not too selective with feeds. Out of about 5 feeds I've only had success with three. The DavidIcke page for instance doesn't work. Otherwise, good app!

Disappointing update. Before the update today the app was easily a 5 star free rss reader but it's added ads and has lost clarity in it's ui makeover. I don't know how to like within google or what the star, dot or rss icon do with a feed I'm viewing. In the attempt to make the ui more streamlined I think it lost predictability.

Not keeping up. Despite the rigamarole of signing up (& paying for) a third party feed service and then paying *again* for this app I was disappointed. This app was ok 5 years ago but it's clumsy by comparison to modern apps. Feed discovery? Forget it. You need to open a web browser, find, copy & paste the URLs. It has nice mobilised view. Don't waste your money.

Works well, but buggy.. Works very well with Google Reader. I hope it keeps up with Google's features. There's a bug that causes screens to render very slowly with all of the page elements "growing" from the top left corner. It requires the app be killed before it works again. With new releases, the bugs seem to be getting worse.

Robust and user friendly. This application is by far the best rss feeds reader available on apple store! While it's hard to find an app that's reliable, user friendly, robust and at the same time free, Feeddler got it all. I recommend it over all rss readers as I really tried, if not all, most of them.

Best Reader Out There. I've tried a bunch of readers but this is the best one I have found. It quickly (like blazing fast) syncs my google reader feeds and shows which feeds have updates within seconds. Video based channels show in the embedded window and you can play right in the app. Otherwise, it's one click to load the full page in the embedded browser. You can't go wrong with this app.

Pretty good. Works well, I would like a way to mark individual articles as read without having to open them. Otherwise quite good. Recommend!

Nul ;(. Surtout ne pas télécharger !

J adore. Tres bonne app. Je la recommande ...

Bandwidth Hog. I started tracking my bandwidth usage because I was hitting my provider's monthly cap. Turns out this app (and its use of the iAd) generates a lot of download. I tried reducing the update period and limiting the media download within the app, but still it was a hog. So I deleted it, switched to a competitor and now my bandwidth usage is much lower.

Super. Great app to pull all your RRS feeds to one easy spot for reading. Love it!

Can't add a feedly account with a google login. If you try to add your feedly account and use Google to authenticate, you get a 403 error because google doesn't allow embedded authentication.

I love it!. Very helpful to me

excellent feed reader. Works really well. I use it with inoreader.

Recommend. A very good everyday reader

Excellent for straight forward, solid RSS. RSS is not dead Google! This app is proof! Solid, reliable app and the developer is quick to respond and provide updates to keep up with the current changes in RSS providers! Looking forward to seeing more support for other RSS providers now that google is gone! InoReader is a great start!! A+

Great reader!. Nothing to complain about works really well!

Excellent. Well organized feeds in a very logical and concise format. You can quickly scan a List and pick up those feeds you want to read. I particularly like the way graphic images can be minimized and therefore not using up valuable Cellular data.

Good and useful. RSS reader as-is, just does its job.

Super. Great app. Use it everyday.

Must log in. Why can't they make an app anymore where you don't have to log in.

Doesn't work for my needs. Doesn't seem respect the option to open an article in full text mode. Always opens it in rss mode and it usually results in a 404 error. Have to manually click on the reading mode button. Fine if you subscribe to only one feed with a handful if articles. Not so much if you have hundreds. Will be uninstalling it.

Excellent UI. My favourite RSS app and I've tried quite a few of them.

Good. Much slower than Feedly but we can adjust the font size. I am torn between the two.

King of Google Reader clients. Truly, king of Google Reader clients and lord of all RSS

Useful app. This is a useful to track your RSS feeds.

very good!!!!!!. I like it! I like it! I like it!

AWESOME APP!!!. Not a lot can be said about an app that is intuitive, fast and a pleasure to use. It just works flawlessly, period. Thanks

Best reader stopped working. With the newest version 5.2, it is working again! Thanks!

Great app all around!. Great rss reader that supports half a dozen (or so) rss services and syncs well with those services. Supports send to pocket, facebook, email etc... When you add rss feeds don't try to search for a feed unless you upgrade to the pro version. But otherwise great app that supports all the services, and works great without any crashes or bugs!

Requires an Account. Maybe this is a good app, maybe it isn't. I will never know as the first time you load it up, it demands credentials for services I have never heard of. Why on earth do you need to login to an RSS reader? I don't understand this at all. If I know the URLs to the feeds that I want to follow, why can't I just enter those into the app directly? Well, I hope someone is happy with this app. I will have to give it a pass.

Great app. I was looking for an RSS app, this one was first in the search results and it's perfect. I quickly registered with The Old Reader and now my feeds are up and running. :) They've made it really easy to report bugs or send feedback, and I received a prompt and helpful response when I emailed about a bug. That's worth a 5-star rating.

Very decent app. Not bad. You still get a lot of features with it. I did not like The fact that you had to pay for the pro app separately instead of just upgrading it. But other than that it’s a decent app

Great app. I started using feedler at version 1.4 on my iPad, and it's a great google feed reader. It has everything I want, very solid. I read some of the other negative reviews and most of those problems have been fixed. You can mark all items as read, you can view only unread items and feeds. The full screen web browser is great too. Can't wait for the next version.

Fantastic!. Really the best.

Cannot log in. The app doesn't play nicely with iOS 12's third-party password management changes. Whenever I select to use my password manager to log into my Google account, I get booted back to the account selection screen.

Fantastic App. I use it every day. It gives a great overview and organizes the feeds very well.

very awesome app for RSS update !!. I've tried Feedly app on IOS, but unfortunately they don't' have the settings for sorting the RSS "Drag and drop" So i chose this app, (which is awesome!) By the way, I think i would be even better if the this app can enable Notification on the IOS devices so I don't need to open the app every time to check the update of RSS. Great app and keep up the awesome work~

Great app. Tried a couple feed readers, but came back to this one. My favourite !

Great. Job

Great feed reader. Fast and easy to use

Great App. Best thing since sliced bread. Goodbye google reader.

Great App. Awesome app. Updates feeds well and very easy to navigate.

Requires external account. Never got past the initial requirement to sign into an external newsfeed account. I don't have one and will not use a program that requires you to have one. Don't use if you're looking for simple rss reader

Account to google doesn't work. The log in to my google account doesn't work (I have security login on). Disappointing.

Awful. I'm sorry, but this is an awful app. After months of use, here's a few reasons out of a dozen I could name: 1) Pinch-zoom zooms the text font-size and does not zoom images. WTF? This is so counter-intuitive to expected iOS behaviour. What's more, it's super buggy. A lot of times it will "remember" the zoomed-in state and refuse to let you zoom back out, even after exiting the app. Awful. At least have an option in the settings to enable a classic slate zoom mode. 2) There is something fishy with the UI. After a while, all the UI elements in the app begin to do this bizarre Quartz slide effect, like it's on an acid trip. It's really irritating and makes using the app a pain. I have not seen any other app behave this way. 3) Lack of custom feed icons - they all just show as stock orange RSS icons. MobileRSS was able to display the individual feed icons in the Subscriptions list. 4) Lack of image preview while surfing article lists. Again, MobileRSS had this as standard. 5) The option to toggle Show All / Show Unread Only for the Subscription list is in the app settings, whereas for individual article lists this toggle is on the app's top toolbar. This is inconsistent, confusing, and just bad User Interface karma. MobileRSS was 10 times better than this, until they decided to stop updating it. And based on this experience, I have no intention of buying the paid version of Feeddler.

Flawless. This application is simply flawless. Operation and button placement is very streamlined. I especially like how one can change the article font size by pinching. Just imported my Reader feeds to AOL through their website - no problem. Thanks, dev team, for this gem of an app!!

Why do I need an account?. Did someone miss the point of RSS feeds? There seems to be no way to get started without an account with some RSS service. That’s not how RSS feeds were designed to work!

Good App. Nice clean look makes reading easy. The App is simple and includes some nice features to organize your feeds if you want make things a little more complex. No complaints here

perfect app. perfect

Not working now. This worked good for a few months, now it's having issues every day. You need to be signed up through a variety of sites for this app to work, if that site goes down so does the functionality of this app. Save your money and find an app that isn't loading your list of feeds from one site.

Best RSS reader. Best RSS reader IMHO!

Doesn't support other sign in. AOL reader supports signing in with twitter, Facebook and Google accounts, why does this app not?

Like it. Easy to use

Pro upgrade woes quickly fixed. This is an update. The developer was quick to get back to my about my problem with an explanation and told me the fix was already submitted to apple. Great job! The last upgrade if my feeddlerpro rendered it useless as it constantly crashed on startup on my ipad and iphone. It isn't available in iTunes, directly or through the in-app upgrade. Loved the free one so much i upgraded a year ago... Hope a fix is on the way soon! It was a 5 star, but even with this snafu it is still a 3.

No complaints here ... well, maybe a minor one. I really like Feeddler. I like how I can skim the titles of posts for blogs I follow and choose ones I actually want to read. I also like how easy it is to 'mark as read.' The only complaint I have is having to open posts I want to continue reading in Safari, but that's so minor that it should not dissuade anyone from getting this ap. I like it a great deal.

A functional Google Reader app. This app does just enough to be a useful, fully functional Reader client. It's small, fast and easy to use, though not a whole lot else can be said about it. There is nothing slick or stylish about it - designer software it is not. Moreover - the flow of stories isn't always intuitive - too often you end up in the central menu when trying to back out of a story.

The best google reader app for ios. Excellent reader app. Very customizable. The only feature that's missing is the "send to" option like google reader has that allows me to send an article to any URL I want. I've requested this option a while ago and the author said that he'd get to it, but still not there yet. Other than that it's awesome and very tweakable.

My default reader. Love the Mark Loaded as Read feature. Gives me a chance to chip away at posts when I can. Really love that this doesn't remove the posts tagged Keep Unread. Why no one else does this is crazy. #1 feature!!! Sometimes goes wonky when it hits a odd page. Closing the app, double-clicking the home button and removing the quick switching icon fixes this (but what a pain).

Clean, simple interface for RSS reading. There are fancier interfaces on other RSS readers, but I love the simple display of this one. I can quickly scan my list of feeds and focus on the ones I want to read. It synchronizes with a lot of RSS subscription services, so you're likely to find the one you use in their list. I only wish the HTML engine rendered a little more quickly. Some pages take a while to load, which can be frustrating.

Nice and easy. I love this. There is one bug where if you close the app while loading new subscriptions, it will start loading again with another pop-up message. And when the loading is over, one of the pop-ups wont go away. I then have to force quit the app and reopen it. Another suggestion: it would be better if the texts could be opened as drop down instead of a different page.

This app is a must have. The recent bug has been fixed, this app is a must have for anyone that needs to sort through all their feeds. It's quick, reliable, and it's simplistic interface makes this app near perfect. It's interface design can be bland compared to some of the other more flashy apps but this is the best, easiest, quickest way to get through your feeds. Great work, download, you won't be disappointed!

Full Landscape Mode. The new addition of viewing articles in full landscape mode puts this RSS reader ahead of the others!! Instead of losing a large chunk of screen real estate to the list of feeds, Feeddler has upped the ante by allowing you to see the article in all of its glory. NONE of the others do this. Great job! Finally, a developer who gets it. We know longer have to squint to read tiny fonts! NetNewsWire just lost a customer.

No push notification & needs article filter. Latest iPhone software update 5.1.1 bane of my existence has a feature called push notification where a swipe downward would conveniently pull open a tab of notifications. This rss feed app does not have the stuff that will make your rss feed appear in that tab and this app ultimately becomes inefficient (I have nothing I want in that space except rss). The app browser that you use to view the full article is also a little iffy (lags), but if it had all of this fixed AND a keyword filter on your rss articles that helps against information overload, you are looking at a 5 star app.

Does Everything With Ease. This has made it much easier to keep up with all the RSS subscriptions on my Google Reader account. It was easy to set up and has worked great ever since. Everything syncs with Google flawlessly. The only problem I have run into is if I open a SoundCloud link in the built in browser. It starts opening Safari pop-ups of the social networking buttons, which is really annoying, but not worth taking away a star.

Good, but has a few bugs.... I must say that overall, I'm pleased with the functionality of this app, especially for the low, low price of free. Nonetheless, there are a few areas that beg for some improvements. First and foremost, the full article browser, which often has an issue going back after viewing a link in a feed, which occasionally causes the app to crash. Also, the navigation is awkwardly placed at the bottom and I'd love to see this promoted to the top of the window. Secondly, I often find the need to resync the feeds manually. The app needs to sync periodically without me needing to select a menu option. Finally, push notifications for new articles would be a welcome option, although some may find this annoying. Keep up the great work! I truly cant wait to see what improvements are in the works!

Good thing it is free. If the App would work better, it would get 5 stars. Stability is a big problem as it crashes on me daily. When it crashes, all of the read items are lost and when i access my feeds again, i need to re-read them. The Syncing needs to be improved and the UI needs to show that. sometimes i open a feed with XX unread items only to see that everything has been read, just not synced. You have a nice product here, please improve it

Excellent feed reader. Very good reader. It helps me catch up with the news from local and international papers as well as blogs, comic strips etc. Better than using my laptop for this purpose. Only one glitch: sometimes the app freezes and needs to be killed ( it happens while trying to sync). Offline reading would be nice and I am considering to buy the pro version to have this feature as well as the batch sync one. Good work!

It does what it is supposed to. I think.. I am new to rss feeds. They are so much more comfortable to read with the iPad than just on the computer. I like the feeddler list and being able to sort oldest to newest. I would like a save folder for articles I like and a way to delete ones I am done with. But I guess that is what read/un read are for. I would also like to search/subscribe/unsubscribe rss feeds within feedler.

Huge improvement!!!!. I was about to stop using this app when the new version came out. They have really nailed all of my beefs with the previous app. Really solid customization option so you only see what you want to use. Two things keeping me from giving it 5 stars: 1. You can't click on a button to mark all items as read and return to the subscriptions list. You have to click on three buttons ti do that. An option to toggle the current behavior with a one click option would be phenomenal! 2. There's no unread count when you are browsing through individual items. Id love to have them ditch the G menu, move the star/unstar button ti the right and put in an unread count. These are the only two things I miss from my previous RSS reader. Was going ti switch back but this update is going to keep me around. :-)

EXACTLY as described by developer. Free version works perfectly. Developer description is very accurate. The ads are NOT invasive, like other reviews say. They take up approx. one line of space, about every 10th feed. I don't even notice them when scrolling/skimming the feeds. Synch with Google Reader works as expected for a mobile reader. I cannot compare Feedler to any other RSS reader for iPhone because I don't need to try anything else!

Best RSS Reader out there, imo. I have tried Feedly but I like this one better. Easy to read the full text without a lot of annoying hops, just by adjusting the settings to your liking. And although Google Reader had died, they made the hop to The Old Reader just in time, and it was extremely easy to migrate my feeds over (and I have over 1,000 of them), Thanks to the developers for a great app!

Solid reader, love the new interface!. I have used this reader for two years and it is still my favorite. The new interface is cleaner and more responsive. Thank you for not over complicating the interface and keeping the content as the main focus! I'm also thankful for the fix that resolved the crashing issues with iOS 8. I'm upgrading to pro as a result!

Very useful. Feedler is one of the most used apps on my iPad. I find it a better experience than reading via web browsers on my desktop or safari on the iPad. For me, I now can keep up with my feeds and enjoy it. The iPad and feedler did the trick.... I have not tried it on the iPhone. I am using the free version. The limits on which articles can be marked as read from the titles happen to be a good discipline for me, so I have not yet upgraded.

Using with InoReader!. This app is definitely function over fashion, but works flawlessly, syncing with InoReader in my case. For everyone complaining about wanting to use this app as standalone, that's not how reader apps work. You have to have your feeds sync from somewhere. Stop punishing this app by rating it so low. You haven't even used it, how can you say it's not a good app just because you don't understand how it works?

Very nice reader!. Love this reader on both iPhone and iPad! Works very well with Google Reader. The full text option is wonderful--allows you to view entire blog posts, beyond the preview in the RSS feed. And it's formatted and sized for the device, not the web page, which often is far more readable than it would otherwise be. And in the rare cases in which it does not work well, you just click on the title to launch the web page in the browser.

Technical glitches mar otherwise great product. I use this daily and find it the best rss reader for iOS. Unfortunately there are two technical problems. First it will occasionally not return to allowing user control following its refresh of feeds. Second the HTML viewing sometimes goes nuts requiring a force quit. Minor but annoying problems. So far they seem to happen much less frequently on iOS 5. Fingers crossed. Elimination of those problems would easily make this five stars.

Auto scroll & Feed Control. Great google reader tool. I have paid version on iPad and free on iPhone. I wish there was auto scroll. Also would love to be able to automatically mark certain feeds as read. Oftentimes use folders as research tops to keep for later, would like to keep in reeder but not manually mark each time I open a folder. Thanks!

Works great with Google Reader & Evernote!. When I select a feed reader I look for two things: 1) does the service work with Google Reader, my desktop feed reader of choice? Will it allow me to star articles, add tags, and add and delete feeds? 2) does the service allow me to easily save and tag articles in Evernote? In the case of Feedler, the answer in both cases, for me, is yes. This app has earned a place on my front page and I access it several times a day each day.

Best App for Google Reader That I Found. Great app and loads new results quickly from my Google Reader. Easy to read and mark items as read. It lost a star because of the annoying a at the bottom that sometimes loads quickly and late after a scroll which can cause you to accidentally click it. This is a shady programming choice. Also, no mention if you upgrade if it removes the AD or I might do it. It also creates funky links if you try to email a link to an article.... It should pull the original link not some crazy link from your app!

Good, but bugs are annoying. Feeddler is a very solid Google Reader client app. I use it almost every day to keep up to date on my 2 dozen or so feeds. However, it has some very annoying bugs. Namely, 1) if I switch out of the app while the "loading" message is active, when I switch back the message will not go away. I must manually quit and restart the app at that point. Sometimes this happens even when I'm pretty sure I didn't switch out during the loading phase. 2) sometimes when I tap "open in Safari" nothing happens. I wish there was an "add to reading list" button directly in the app, as I prefer to read articles in Safari in Reader mode, but I'm not sure Apple let's 3rd party apps interface with the reading list.

Best RSS feed in app store. While it is certainly not perfect, this app is simply the best RSS feed in the app store to date. Despite a few minor bugs causing the app to crash (rare), there are no flaws in the programming and design. The app syncs very quickly and you can read an entire story from the app itself. Very simple, very sleek, and very reliable. Especially compared to the other RSS feed applications in the app store. 4 stars because there is always room for improvement.

Still works as advertised. New to this version, little ads that float down your feeds as you scroll. Not really intrusive, they just remind you that app developers need to make some money. A few times I clicked over to read the full article it had a hard time loading the page (gizmodo, your pages are way too cluttered) but otherwise, it is wonderful. A beautiful app that I find an indispensable part of my day.

Beautiful. I just switched to this app from the other popular google RSS reader. I use an RSS reader for most news. This app is beautiful. Kudos. Get this one and NOT the other popular free one. I switched to this app b.c I really like the subscription list visible within the topic folders. This way I can choose which subscriptions to read instead of having a 100 articles all lumped together. GET THIS ONE!

Simple, useful, and just works. That's all that has to be said of this app. Have been able to avoid iTunes sync for weeks. Very stable. Excellent search and good podcast discovery tools. Good interface and easy to use for managing, downloading (auto and manual) and streaming podcasts. Thanks for making a truly useful app. If you could find a way to do text to speech for blogs now, that would be incredible...

Great!. Very cool app especially since I used google reader as my rss reader on my laptop. Looks amazing and works pretty well. Would like to have the feature to just browse the titles of the posts and marking them as unread as I browse them, without the need for opening each feed. It's nice that I can view the original web post in the app without going to safari and closing the app. Overall very satisfying app!

I've tried a bunch and this wins.. I'm not sure why it's so hard for developers to make a good RSS reader. I tried some of the pricey ones and they were buggy. This thing is solid and it's free! Well only free until the next version at which point the price is annoying ads. If the paid non ad version is affordable (.99) I'm buying! Otherwise just use Safari.

Keeps Google Reader sharing alive, but freezes up occasionally. I used Google Reader to share stories I was tracking on my organization's website. When Google switched over to Google+, I lost this important functionality until I discovered Feeddler. Works great except about once a month it freezes while loading new items, and my only option is to delete the app and reload it.

Solid feed reader. Very easy to use both for reading and subscription maintenance. Only minor negative is that when you have to click a link in the feed to go to the full article, it opens in a built in browser with somewhat limited functionality. In particular it has no back button so if you follow a link in the article there is no easy way to get back. You can open in Safari but this requires an extra step.

Much improved. As memory serves, I initially (long ago) rated this app low and deleted it because some of the ads were offensive and inappropriate. After trying several other crappy RSS readers, I downloaded this again. It blows them all away and I have not noticed the ads being inappropriate, or even too pervasive for that matter. Good work.

Ads are flashy and syncing bug. I expect a free app to have ads, and I'm fine with it. But recently the ads have become animated. IT DRIVES ME CRAZY to have a flashy ad at the bottom while I'm trying to read. Seriously. Who's idea was that? It's annoying enough that i will be looking for a new reader. Another thing I'd like to see improved is adding background syncing. Every time I open it, it'll go on hold while it syncs so I'm unable to read other downloaded blog while I wait. It's only for few seconds so it's not too bad, but there are times it'll freeze up in the syncing mode that I'd have to force quit.

Feedler App Review. Seamlessly coalesces all your Google Reader RSS feeds allowing the reader to follow links and view rich content such as video without losing the context of the original post or their place in the feed. When browsing external links, simple tap close in the top left corner and you are returned to the original post, even after browsing several links deep. Sharing and commenting via several media are also incorporated into Feedler. Probably the most used App on my iPad.

Love it!. Very good reader. My final choice after trying couple different readers. Functionally, it's almost perfect, I have a few suggestions in aesthetic point of view: - It'd be great if they change the color of the title of a feed (the current bright blue is not elegant - looks too cheap), or let users choose the color. - It'd look beautiful if sliding action between feeds gets some transition effect, rather than just suddenly changing the display. - I wish the "star" mark had a close-to-orange yellow color, just similar to what Picasa uses, rather than the pure, bright yellow. Plus it'd be awesome if "starring" gets some visual effect similar to what Picasa has. These are minor things, but they would make Feeddler a more perfect reader app both functionally and aesthetically. Thanks!

Does what it says...almost always. I use this everyday to read all my favorite blogs in one organized place. I like that when I star an article it syncs with my google reader when I log in on a computer. My only complaint is that it glitches out sometimes and won't load anything. I usually end up restarting my phone and everything is back to usual. I recommend it!

Great Having My Favorite Feeds Available in One Place. Love having all my favorite blogs and feeds in one application. It saves so much time opening this app and having everything right there! Be sure and back up your feeds to your Google account so that if they suddenly disappea, like they did for me, you can retrieve them easily. No one at Feedler could tell me why all the feeds just disappeared one day so I had to go and find them all again (I had not backed them up). Now everything is backed up. Love that its so easy to use and read.

Great app - just wish it were a little more able to navigate. I use this app all the time b/c I follow a lot of blogs. For the most part I really like it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is b/c it isn't 100% user friendly to navigate back & forth from links. For instance if you click a link within a certain blog post there is no direct way to get back to that blog post. It's not super inconvenient, but at times it can be frustrating.

Very good. Like this a lot, especially that I can follow a couple links in the built in browser. Only issue is that there is no back button within that browser - as someone else said, if you follow a link you have to go back and forth to the previous article to get back to the original link. I'd buy the pro version if it integrated to dropbox to save for later.

Good enough for a free app. The interface is similar to google reader so that's a bonus. But sometimes this app fails to sync with the reader. Let's say I delete a feed URL on the desktop, I have to logout and login again to see the changes in this app. Also, it would be great if they allowed magnification of feeds in this version. I usually subscribe to picture feeds and it becomes redundant for me to go to the web page to see the details in the picture.

Good app, deceptive marketing. Just as I was beginning to use this app regularly it alerted me to the fact that I must upgrade to sync. Slightly disappointed, I went searching for the upgrade option. After I couldn't find it, my disappointment turned to frustration which prompted me to write this review. If I didn't actually find the app useful (after all it does integrate with Google Reader and buzz), I would have given it two stars. If they decide to make good on the "free" claim, then I'll bump it to four.

Use this daily. Simple app that does what it says. Syncs well between devices and web. Wish I could pay $0.99 and have the ads go away, plus it can be a touch slow when loading additional content inside the feeds, otherwise it would get 5 stars. Also, in some recent update it now requires me to tap the subscription list in order to update the feed. This used to happen automatically and now it's annoying because it requires an unnecessary extra step.

Satisfying free rss reader. Nice interface and approach to rss reading. I used to read with google reader, the transition to this app was smooth. Continues to Work well after the "trial" bonus feature expires. Great that the developer offers a free version for my exact needs. If you are only near wifi sporadically and require offline reading ( threads download in full when connected), then purchase the full version.

Good, but.... Was working great and would give a higher rating but a star was lost for the change in ad placement, which is now obnoxious. Another star was lost as the recent upgrade causes it to crash about 1/3of the time it launches and I am forced to launch it again...seems to be an issue in syncing with Google. Before the recent upgrade this was an amazing free app and I was thinking of upgrading to the paid version....now I am not sure what to think because of the crashing. Plead fix it.

Good, do have some issues with network access. Coming from NetNewsWire, I do like what I see - much better performance than my previous reader. However, given that at work I have a rather flaky WiFi connection, when I turn off WiFi to use my cell radio, Feeddler doesn't detect the switch, and remains hung on refresh. I usually have to kill the app and restart it for the refresh to complete. Better detection of network changes would be much appreciated.

Almost 5! Great app. This is a great app that I use everyday. Th other reason there are 4 stars instead of 5 is because it will randomly freeze on a "loading" screen for hours even though everything is synced and loaded. The only way to fix is to turn the phone off and log back into the app. This has only happened 2-3 times in a few weeks and once fixed this will be a 5 star app.
