Waste of my money. When I open the app the date and time is correct but when I close the app it is a different date and time. I wanted my app to be closed with the correct date and time. Waste of my .99.

Crap. This is crap doesn't show correct time till you open it. Always shows Thursday 9:40 on screen

Well, it's a big clock. No more, no less.. Very basic app which I bought mostly to support the Coding Monkeys. While a couple more design options would be nice, it does what it's supposed to do. Maybe if Monsieur Tim nags some more we'll get some extra functionality some day.

Awful.... Definitely a waste of money. Every time I use the app, it dims the brightness of my iPad to the point of barely being able to see anything. The fact that the time and day on the icon are not current defeats the purpose. I had hoped to use it with my elderly dad.

Could be better. I wish this app could be made into a screensaver on the iPhone. When the phone goes to sleep, it would activate this app.

Big clock. It does what it says. I like it since I use glasses and not for excercising. I can see my time.

Terrible!. Awful!! Doesn't display the actual time on the app icon.

Dissatisfied. The light dims. It is very difficult to make it brighten. Then, it dims the entire phone. I have to lock and restart my phone in order to bring the brightness back to everything else on it.

:-(. I was expecting the icon on the home screen to display the correct time...NOT. Instead, the icon clearly displays a fixed wrong time. The icon should change, displaying the correct time, just like the calendar icon.

Almost perfect.. BIG clock. Readable rather than stylish. Just what I wanted, being half blind without glasses at night. Let me change the color. Red numerals are more appropriate to an otherwise dark room.

Very Easy to Read. Don't let the bad reviews put you off. This is a very readable clock, especially on the iPhone in landscape mode.

Liked it until. I liked it very much when it had a solid black background, they have updated it to a split background screen half gray and half black. I liked the basic solid black background with the time, day, and date.

Can’t show time on icon due to Apple’s limitations. The reviews that criticize the app for not being able to show the time when the app is closed don’t understand how apps work. Apps can’t do that because Apple won’t let them. If you want an app to show you a big clock on your iPhone or iPad, I’ve bought several and this is the best one. You can control the brightness by dragging your finger up or down on the screen. The app needed an update for iOS 11, which has now been done, so it works fine again. Thanks to the developers!

Has worked well for years -- simplicity triumphs. This is the only clock I've found that does what I need. Each night, I put it on my night stand, and it shows me the time -- and day and date -- with a simple, classy Helvetica-like display -- easily dimmed or brightened. Double-tapping orients it if necessary. Yes, you need to make it brighter before you switch apps. On the other hand, it is just right for quickly adjusting your screen brightness without menu-ing through Settings. All this is enough for me. I like, I need it. Simplicity beats overloaded functionality every night at my house.

Simple yet Elegant & Classy. I appreciate that this clock also displays the date and time. Some people have complained about the app icon not being a live clock. They do not understand that an app developer can only use a static image as an app icon. The Apple clock icon does show the actual time, but it does not open to a full screen clock which is the purpose of Big Cloch HD.

Waste of money. Who doesn't want the correct time and day to be displayed when the app is closed..ugh

iOS 11 killed this app. Worked great until iOS 11–then it no longer does what it’s supposed to do. Please update!

Does what it does well.. Works perfectly and is very useful.

Needs Update!. Not compatible with iOS 6. Crashes, dims brightness, and will freeze phone. Better choices out there now.

Does what it says. Does what it says, no more and no less and for free. What’s not to like? Useful addition to the stack in a widget. Easy to set options and easy to view.

Confusing display. The App Icon says 9.42 Thursday. Very confusing. The clock is perfect for mum - an elderly person with early stage dementia, needing just Time, Day and AM or PM in large font. - And yes she still uses the iphone and texts me every morning. She keeps thinking its 9.42 on Thursday!! Can you please change the display?

No settings to change & no 24 hour format. This app this very basic. You can change the brightness by sliding up and down. I was hoping to be able to change the date format. What you see in the screen dumps is ALL this app does. I was hoping for 24 hour format. You can go into settings and add seconds.

Very disappointing. The clock looked great but as soon as the app opens the display brightness dims to the lowest level. Once the app is closed the brightness stays at the lowest level. You have to go into your settings to reset it every time, which makes the app unusable. A complete waste of money. Sigh.

Great app - not enough options. Having tenths-of-a-second would be great, or a timecode from a specific tapped time. I use it for video recording to have a synchronized clock across multiple cameras. The sub-second timing would be *very* useful for audio sync with my GoPro.

Dim view. Nice idea but....... The clock throws the iPad into "low light" mode leaving the screen very dim. You are then forced to go into brightness settings to restore the display.

Not all language and format. Do not recognize french or french-canadian. Do not recognize the 24 h format. Why your description mention all language and format as per device...?

I loved it before.... This app was the perfect simple set up for an easy visual clock on the go with the additional features of choosing which size and brightness I wanted. It had well been worth the purchase I made years ago. The 3.0 update removed the option to dim and the AM/PM display which I had grown accustomed to. I have an iPhone 8. There shouldn’t have been any lack of function with the update :/

Works great, you can read it from the back of a classroom. Bugs noted in earlier reviews seem to have been fixed.
