Best white noise app. I've purchased a few different white noise apps and this is by far the best! I highly recommend it plus you can mix and match your own it's pretty awesome!

Love this app so much!. I recorded a loop of my cat purring a few months before she passed. Being able to capture a moment of happiness and contentment with her purring and napping by my side using your app is truly something special to me. Thank you so much not only for this app, but for adding the ability to record your own loops. The only request I could make is support for the new iPhone X other than that this is truly an excellent piece of software and now completely indispensable for me. Thank you!

Awesome!. Love this, I like experimenting with ambient environments. Oh, was wondering if there is a way to rename a mix? For example from the names of the sounds listed to a name like “Smooth campsite” for example.

Great for Sound-Masking. As requested in a pop-up message on this app, I am reconfirming my rating above and what I wrote in the following sentences. I work at home, so I use this app to block out household noises and the conversations that tend to be distractions. It is also a sleep aid, especially since I am an early-to-bed kind of guy, and my wife tends to be a night owl. I used to use an app called Simply Noise, but it was not updated to fit the most recent iOS versions. I'm using White Noise Pro, which is much more diverse than Simply Noise and allows an ad-free experience. The developers have combined photos and sound to provide a very pleasing experience. There is a version for Mac, which I also use with satisfaction. A great app.

A godsend for tinnitus sufferers. An essential technique for alleviating the nasty symptoms of tinnitus is “masking” the noise you hear by using white noise to cover it up. It’s especially helpful to find a sound on this app that sounds like your tinnitus sounds. By playing it a bit louder on your phone than what you hear in your ear, the sound seems to come from the environment and not your head. I use “Locusts in July” which cost me about $3 and has kept me sane on the nights my symptoms are bothersome and interfere with me sleeping. Truly my most important app.

Forces ads. This app forces you to download White Noise Market in order to take advantage of the online sound options, which forces an amazing amount of ads on users of this app. It’s unfortunate when when you pay money for a premium app.

Brown noise BETTER than White!!!. Wind through trees is awesome too! Once you have switched from the over-rates white to BROWN! You'll thank me later.

Love it. I use three sounds together and love each one. I have Tinnitus and the different sounds distract me and I can sleep well. I highly recommend this app. I use this each night. Love this app. I’ve been using it for probably 5 years now. I’m a very light sleeper and this helps me sleep so much. I use it at home and when traveling. I’ve hooked several family members on this app too.

Was one of my favorite apps but not anymore.. I have used this app for along time. I have paid for the App and recently found that sounds I already have downloaded will not backup to ITunes. I am requested to purchase the sound again in iTunes. On top of that there are continual messages coming up on the App that the App isn’t appropriate for iPad. This App has turned into a scam.

Best ambient noise app I have seen. Great for travel! sleep, or when you just want some calming background sound. I especially like the ability to combine sounds and create an immersive surround-sound experience.

Worthy Successor to pre-iOS11 App. I had the old “storm” white noise app for years; my wife and I loved how it enabled us to get an undistracted night’s sleep. So I was sad when I had to delete it when I upgraded to iOS11. Fortunately I found this app for the same price I paid for the old one. It completely does what the old app did plus so much more. I am blown away by how powerful the mixing capabilities are. I doubt I’ll ever use them all, but I did discover that mixing bubbling brook softened rain on metal roof just enough to let me enjoy the sound all night; otherwise the metal roof rain was just a little too sharp. The app has a better all-around look to it; I appreciate the new clock look. This is the app I listen to more than all the other apps on my iPhone combined; I can say that it wears well. Highly recommended if you want to finesse your own white noise experience.

Great for Studying. If you have a hard time finding a truly quiet, distraction-free place to study, this app (with a set of noise-cancelling earbuds) can be a great help. There are many easy-to-ignore ambient sound loops that will help to mask any otherwise distracting sounds. It is also great for sleeping if you get distracted by creaks, footsteps, and conversations around the house. Very valuable escape in our sound-addled world.

Misophonia. This app really helps with my misophonia BIG time! Also helps me to fall asleep when we’re camping without electricity. Not sure what I would do without it.

BEST White Noise App!. I love this app. I have used it for years for myself to help block out noise while I sleep during the day after working night shifts. I also now use it for my son. So many options and just the best sound quality and seamless loops. I recommend it to everyone with a baby on the way.

Covers up background noise so I can sleep. I like the new interface, but had to go find sounds that did not transfer with the new update.i esp

Perfect way to relax and sleep. App offers so many options: I’ve made mixes for my mood - and lately - level of anxiety. Campfire, tent rain or train, airplane and so on. I fall to sleep with it every night. Can’t recommend it enough.

No Advantage vs Free White Noise App. White Noise Pro If there is a difference between the Lite and Pro apps. I can’t find it. Save your money until there are additional features. My doctor has prescribed a med with interrupted sleep as a side effect. I downloaded White Noise to help “lullaby” me back to sleep in the middle of the night. It plays through my Bluetooth enabled hearing aids. It helps some, certainly better than silence. White noise offers a considerable selection of satisfactory sounds and the option of creating a playlist to vary them. I found it worth encouraging the developer with a paid upgrade of less than a dollar. It’s worth that. The app does have it’s issues: The option menus are not very intuitive, and they are confusing There are a few “tips” but no manual or help function The upgrade wipes all the playlist, mix creations, and manually recorded sounds. It leaves the old Lite app in place with a different colored icon. It’s just odd and awkward. I don’t resent spending the dollar, but I can’t see that it buys anything really The volume of the sounds vary a lot perceptually from one another. It’s just about impossible to create a playlist that does not have jarring volume changes. The app really needs the ability to adjust the volume of playlist entries individually. There is a shuffle function that reorders the playlist but no capacity for creating a specific desired order by moving items up or down manually.

Daily driver. Love app. Just wish I could have is auto launch using apple shortcuts and automation. Instead have to rely on a script which still takes user interaction. Bummer

Problems and potential. A lot of bugs, became stuck on Game of Black Jack, confusing array of options. If these were fixed, it would be a great app to use. Much potential.

Latest version munching CPU, developer unresponsive. So, just to make it clear, I love the App, but version 7.3 is misbehaving, chewing through Battery power all day, like it’s playing silently all the time. The App has always had its quirks, it changes brightness and sound settings for the entire phone rather than just itself, which would be ok if it restored them when it was in the background, and it doesn’t. The developer has been unresponsive for months, not a good sign. I am leaving this review in sheer desperation, in hopes that it will spur change. Sigh.

Another Perfect Night!. This is an almost perfect white noise app. It is the only one that has a built-in sound recorder, which is my favorite feature. I wish it was able to record for more than 59 seconds, but it is still worth the download!

Best $2 ever spent. I bought this back a few years ago when I lived with my boyfriend at the time who would stay up all night playing video games. He was loud! I'd be downstairs and all I could hear was him!! This helped me sleep at night and now I've used it so much, I need it to sleep. Best purchase ever. Helps my baby sleep too now that I have a little boy. Helps keep him sleeping longer during nap time! Super awesome useful app. My favourite sound is "airplane" which is a nice white noise. It says I've listened to it for 300 hours!

The best. I really cannot recommend this app enough. There is a surprisingly active and very friendly online community of ambient noise enthusiasts, and this app is a great way to begin introducing yourself to the science behind white noise and it’s impact on our brains. On nights when I have trouble sleeping, I will mess around with the mixing pad and try to create new moods and settings until I create something that zonks me out. Additionally, the ability to play audio from the app concurrently with other audio sources (even down it giving the app an independent volume slider) means I can combine ambient sounds with all of the different audiobooks I listen to. For example, I recently paired an audiobook about the Korean War with a mix of mountain, snow, and wind sounds. I could go on about the different smaller features I like but I hope you’ll see for yourself!

The best money I have ever spent on an app!. This app is a must for anybody who has trouble sleeping at night. With so many sound options, you are sure to find one that will help you relax and fall asleep. Try the free version first but the pro version is money well spent.

Almost perfect. This is useful for masking noises near me, and selecting a mix, as in “mix with music”. However, the aforementioned setting option is not working! I have a Bluetooth speaker that lags unless it’s in AUX mode or sounds in the app mixes. It either complies or doesn’t whether I prefer something or not! The sooner the app is updated to fix that glitch, the better!

Great! But Too quiet. Love this app, but after last update it’s quieter. I can hardly hear it on my bedside table anymore on full volume, whereas before I didn’t even need to have the volume all the way up. Not really doing much for me if I can’t hear it.

The update brought a bug opening the app, but still great!, preventing 5 star rating. No bugs inside the application, but a bug trying to open it. It still functions the same when your in the app, but when you open it after closing, it'll crash once or twice, and when it does open it takes about 30 seconds. Please fix this issue in the next update. Thank you

Great Ambient Sound App.. I love this application. In combination with the sister download app this app is worth the money. The timers are phenomenal. I love the timer that starts the application on its own.

Great but the interface is crap. I’ve used this app for years, and enjoyed it but it seems impossible to upload your own sounds or communicate with the authors.

Just what did I pay for?. They also have 2 other apps that pretty much do the same thing. 1 is just to search for sounds and download them I think, but I am not at all sure. This company needs to get their act together. I feel used by them. Do not waste your time with these apps. They are to complicated and do not have good information on how to use them.

Not Quite Ambience, But Close Enough. It’s not quite what Ambience used to be before its developer abandoned it, but after a long time spent away from iOS this seems to be a suitable replacement. At least I’ve been able to find comparable sounds to those I used to enjoy in the aforementioned app. There are only two reasons I’m not giving this app five stars: 1) The market for other sounds is another app entirely, and 2) The interface seems like it could be improved upon, maybe made a little sleeker. But other than that I’m fairly happy with it.

Best app ever. Awesome app it’s the best, the sounds are beautiful, I love that we can download sounds, I absolutely love the create mix feature. I do wish however, that you could put six or eight sounds instead of five for creating a mix and I wish we could do 200 sounds or even 150 sounds instead of 100. I love absolutely love to create mixes since I’m blind and can’t see it’s just my thing I love to create mixes and hate to delete the mix because I love them all. This is the best app ever, keep up the good work. Thank you so much.

Absolutely love it!!!. I've ALWAYS been a very light sleeper AND I have panic attacks so I tried the free version. I upgraded to the Pro version soon after. I use this app every night and during the day to relax or unwind. I enjoy being woken up slowly by different sounds and there's so many different options available to combine sounds - especially with Pro. I highly recommend this app.

Excellent for snoring husband. This app lets me mix my own white noise which I then channel through sleep phones, a brand of earbuds that are flat and fairly comfortable to wear...and I wake up to the sound of the white noise receding into silence...it's lovely...wish there were more bass sounds...like a heavy ocean rumble

Worth the two bucks!. This app is great for sleep, I can't live without it these days, so handy, especially when there's a lot of noise coming from outside sources! Ps: the noise generator is also fun to mess with 😆

Life Changing. This app has changed my life!! I have been having trouble with sleeping for a very long time. This app has helped immensely. I go to sleep and wake up with it everyday and I wake up feeling rested and I have more energy. I have heart and lung disease as well as Lupus and other autoimmune diseases. I tried everything short of sleeping pills and this is the only thing that helps.

Sleeper in believeland. I have bunch of neighborhood and in home sounds that used to make me crazy. Trains, home settling, kids animals running wheels, wind, dogs licking (all night). I used to use fans to drown the noise. Now I just fire up my app and it saves me from all the sounds and the electricity or running those fans. Thanks for the great app!!!

Been Happily using White Noise to sleep just about every night for nearly a decade. Great UI. Fantastuc customizabiluty and options you would have never thought of. It is just the perfect sound machine. I also love the market place where you can share and discover nearly limetless amounts of sounds for whatever tickles your fancy. Better than my $125 Brookstone Sound Machine. For years I depended on my Brookstone sound machine. However I started traveling for a living and needed to leave it at home. This app makes every hotel room a room I can sleep in regardless of external noises. My brain hears my favorite consistent sleep sounds (that I was able to mix with the purchase app) and I sleep well. I upgraded and it’s worth every penny.

I love it. I note that many software authors have created a sleep sound program such as this one. Certainly I haven’t tried them all, but if you have this one, you don’t need to try any of the others.

Can't live without it. Worth the money for Pro; love downloading new sounds and making custom mixes for the sleepy times. Works great when anxiety makes sleeping difficult.

Almost perfect. Plenty of jungles and rain sounds, but what about some sounds from the African plains, Australian bush or European forests? Otherwise, pretty good.

This app is very useful for people with tinnitus.. Perfect app for me with chronic tinnitus sufferer. But regardless you have tinnitus or not, it has variety of selection of sources and you can combine them to your Favorite noises.

Used to be good, now crashes too often. This used to be a great app. It still would be, if it didn't crash so regularly. It's become very buggy under iOS 7 and rarely runs a full 6-8 hours overnight without crashing - in fact it's lucky normally to run only 2 hours without crashing. It solely needs an update.

Pretty good. Great sounds. Lots of variety. However I cannot hide the catalogue tab once opened in landscape view. Also I would like to set the alarm with traditional settings not for how many hours and minutes away my selected wake up is to be.

My most-used app. With a baby and a little kid crammed into a very small house, the app has proven invaluable. In fact, all of our Apple devices are pretty much just very expensive white noise machines, but hey - at least we're all getting some sleep, right? Especially love the mix pad and recording features.

3 Devices all have it. I have both the iPhone and iPad versions and so does hubby. We both use it everyday!

Amazing app! Great options!. This app works amazingly well, the options are awesome. I grew up beside the ocean and didn't realize how much I missed the sounds of the waves crashing against the rocks until I downloaded this app. The custom mix option is great allowing you to mix things like ocean waves, rain on a deck and a boat rocking on the waves, what a beautiful way to drift off to sleep or even meditate. Highly recommend. Five stars!!

No sound. After using this for a day, it has stopped making any sound at all. Checked all my settings, nothing I can figure would make it suddenly stop working. Useless.

Awesomeness. Love the customization this App makes capable. I don't think I'd sleep at all anymore without the sound of rain and a slight thunder mixed into the background. I use it primarily on my iPad but also on my iPhone and MacBook Pro just in case I forget one.

WNP is a great App. Live in a condo with noisy neighbors. WNP to the rescue! I like the "air conditioner" sound as it drowns out unwanted noise at night. Also helps with my tinnitus (ringing in the ears). I use WNP on my iPad 2 when docked on my night stand and love the large clock display and alarm settings. My iPad dock is connected to a boom box that provides excellent sound quality. Thanks Todd.

Highly recommended. I have been using this app for a couple of months now and I still love it. It drowns out everything, even a snoring spouse! :)

Slowly turn off. The app is good, but what would make it great is if you could make the volume slowly get quieter over a period of time until it turns off instead of just going from on to off. The sudden quietness can wake you up, but your brain wouldn't notice if it was gradually getting quieter first.

Don't waste your money. I'm not a fan of this app, and I'm definitely not a fan of them charging you money for the iPad version and the iPhone version separately. Save your money, and find a better app that you can buy once and use on all your iOS devices.

Great for falling asleep. This is a great app for falling asleep to or even just to tune out more aggravating ambient noise on an airplane. I rather like the mixing feature and have made several mixes already. One slight problem is that occassionally a sound will "stick" and persist even in the presence of other sounds. Hopefully this will be fixed in the next version of the app.

Good for symptoms of tinnitus. This app is good for designing sound therapy for ones tinnitus. I have been at it for over 3 month and I am getting results

White noise. My youngest daughter spent eight weeks in hospital this winter. I slept in the room with her and we wouldn't have been able to sleep through all the late night activity if it weren't for this app on our iPad!! She is now home and still sleeps to the beach sounds every night.

White noise. Disappointing gradual loss of signal even tho the screen Shows all is well,! No sound on Bluetooth or even just unattached! 6months after purchasing Air player. - nothing works at all. Other sites will suggest canceling then reinstalling! Impossible with white noise. Now TOTALLY useless

Timers, Airplay barely function. This app used to be great. However, timers no longer work the way they did under earlier versions of iOS, and Airplay connection for use through timers to go to sleep or awaken to sounds barely functions these days. I used to use it to stream wakeup sounds to my Sonos speakers, but it will no longer maintain an Airplay connection until morning, even when leaving the app in foreground as suggested by the developers. They removed forums from their site, so no more user help or way to express dissatisfaction. And the site itself contains a series of sorry excuses and workarounds for “modern” iOS devices that didn’t exist for earlier versions of iOS.

Not the flashiest, but great value. Before finding White Noise Pro, I was using the free version of a competing app that operated on a subscription-based model. I wanted brown noise, though, and I wasn’t about to fork over $30 per year for it. Enter White Noise Pro. Now I can generate my own brown noise and clip the top end off of the frequency range if I want. The real killer feature here though is the ability to download tons of new sounds. By mixing Brown Noise with one I downloaded called Starship Drone and one of the various rains plus whatever relaxing music I’m in the mood for (Building Game Nightfall Piano is fabulous) on good headphones I can allllllmost completely drown out my boyfriend yelling at his Xbox friends while they kill things. I find myself not wanting to take the headphones off when they’re done playing, though, which may not be the best thing for our communication/relationship, but it’s doing amazing things for my stress level. I really wish it was possible to rename generated sounds and mixes. The issue with the mixes is you can’t control what sound comes first in the mix’s name, and if there are a couple of sounds in there with longish names you can’t see what’s in the mix without hitting the little i to see more info about it. The UI isn’t the snazziest one out there for apps of this type, (the mixer pad is excellent, however; really slick) and at times I find it mildly counterintuitive. I’m also not sure why a separate app is strictly necessary to be able to download additional sounds. Oh, I also really wish the alarm clock function had a “shake to snooze” feature. However, these quibbles aren’t even enough to justify knocking off one star because of the excellent value. Now, TMSOFT, could you find a way to make mixes work on the Alexa skill? And make the noise in the existing skill not time out after a max of 10 hours? Boyfriend and I sleep in sometimes overlapping shifts and 10 hours isn’t always enough to cover both of our “nights” so we’re using a competing product that doesn’t time out.

Incredible. My wife and I returned from Spain two days ago. We use a high-end Vornado fan at home to sleep and inevitably have to come up with some sort of jury rigged hack when traveling like dismantling the cable feed to get to sleep, or hope to borrow a fan from room service. In a noisy city like Barcelona, and with no chance of packing a fan or asking room service for help, and being incredibly jet lagged, I tried the iPad and came up with this. The thing about is app is that it was made with the end user in mind. I've used a different white noise program on my Macbook which is OK, but what you don't realize is how much better things can be using other types of background noise. I actually find brown noise much more soothing. Bottom line- whoever made this did it with great attention to detail and for a possibly small but exacting demographic. If you are someone that needs background noise to sleep better, this is a no brainer for traveling. I would also mention that you can really crank this up, volume-wise. I never got near the max volume and had no trouble canceling out the street noise in the city.

A ripoff. This app used to come with free downloadable sounds. Now the want to nickel and dime you or get you to subscribe. Just another money grubbing company.

this is app for your iphone, had this since it came ou. no negatives here, create your own mind distraction, this is the best on the markets i have seen, tried alot of em, and well they really were crappy

mix pad saves this app. If this app only had the prerecorded sounds I'd give it about 3 stars. The sounds are ok but I need a good box fan sound to sleep by. The fan noise on this app is horrible, but it does have an A/C sound that is pretty close to the drone of a fan but it wasn't quite good enough. That's when i started messing with the white noise generator and found I could combine the AC noise with a generated low white noise sound that was almost perfect! In the mix section i could lower the frequency and really do some nice adjusting to the the sound to get it just right. I hope they update this app with more sounds and a BOX FAN sound please. Also, there seems to be a glitch with the sliders when creating white noise. Sometimes the sliders won't slide all the way and seem to get stuck and unresponsive. Hope this gets patched soon.

Worthless, wish I could give it zero stars. I wanted was an app that would generate White Noise continuously until I told it to stop. This program is too complicated to do that or to even handle it. I wasted my money and now I’m looking elsewhere.

Traveler's dream!. I'm kind of persnickety when it comes to sleep. I need some noise, the right kind of pillows, etc. Traveling has always made it difficult. I've tried it all. Running static on the radio. Running the bathroom fan (on rare occasions when there was one). I even bought a small travel-sized noisemaker, but it just had some kind of rainfall sound, with patterns that kept me awake. Those days are gone!! This app is superb, and well worth its small price. Great noises, though I really only use the white noise variants. No more patterned clicks in my white noise! I love the ability to set multiple alarms rather than just one. The only things that I'd like to see improved would be the ability to turn the screen all the way off (I don't like its glow at even it's lowest dim). still, this has become one of the most indispensable apps I own.

Excellent app and audio.. This is the perfect White Noise program. 40 different audio sounds which all sounds very good and what makes this a 5 star app is the ability to mix 5 different sounds together and arrange them in a way where you can make one sound farther from the other or on the left or right side with many options to do it and in a simple to use way. Also an alarm feature and other options. The audio is very nice. Note though that the iPad speakers isn't exactly the best for this type of program, so that misguided "sound is unnatural" review probably was listening through the iPad speakers. Really need to hook this up to some good external speakers or headphones to get a good feel for the audio quality. Excellent app which I use everyday to fall asleep. I work a 3rd shift at a hospital, so coming coming home to a brightly lit room can be annoying to fall asleep in and this app helps a lot. I couldn't recommend it enough.

Best of the Bunch. White Noise's title belies the breadth of sound possibilities available, all recorded very cleanly---I have a lot of experience with sound equipment, and a little added distortion in a recording is physically irritating, and will make it harder to sleep or study (or put the baby to sleep). The "other" noise app (with the owl icon) is also very good, and worth buying, but White Noise, for me, has a better selection of sounds. The "store" (free downloads of sounds chosen by WN fans, and Recorded through the available WN recorder for consistency) just asked for my Facebook or Gmail address. I used Gmail. The privacy objection didn't rattle me much. Regarding the WN recorder: most people don't realize that the iPhone has, I think, the best/ cleanest sound electronics of any phone I've heard, and with a better microphone (iRig Mic up to Apogee Mic), you're carrying a digital sound recorder better than most pro (tens of thousands of dollars) equipment of the 80's & 90's. You can still make great or lousy recordings, but the equipment is really pretty good.

Alert sound in Light Rain Pouring. Every sixty seconds, the “Light Rain Pouring” sound includes some sort of alert sound / bell. How does this not get noticed in a ten year old app whose sole job is to play soothing sounds?

Great App. I use White Noise both at work and home. It’s great for blocking ambient sound.

Very good. This is a nice app - I like the features a lot as far as the timer and how you can program it to turn off the application after a certain period of time. Almost all of the sounds are very close to the real thing. My only gripe is that on the sounds that have noises that stand out (chirping birds, waves crashing, clothes banging around inside the dryer - actually, would have preferred just the clothes dryer sound without clothes banging around), the loops are too short so these noises repeat too fast which is actually distracting and annoying - they should make longer recordings of these types of sounds before they're looped. My favorite sounds are those that are more fluid without these types of occasional noises, i.e., heavy rain fall, stream or the crickets.

Saved me twice!. I love this app with its variety of soothing noises, perfect for lulling you to sleep. Even better, with a pair of ear buds White Noise Pro has come to my rescue when I needed to drown out the annoyance of a snoring roommate at a retreat, or the loud voices of cohabitants at a beach house. Sleep. White Noise Pro makes it possible to sleep through the inconsideration or inconvenience of roommate roulette while traveling. Just remember to take your earbuds with you, pick your sound from their large selection (airplane or heavy rain worked wonderfully for drowning out things) and you're sure to get the sleep you deserve. If you just want a gentle background sound to lull you to sleep, you can select something more delicate, such as a purring cat, a wind chime, or a beating heart. I've used those sounds to relax myself for an afternoon nap. And if you're a purest, there are several choices of classic "white noise" to choose from. This is an ingenious app and I highly recommend it!

Sleep saver!. Most useful app ever and perfect for sensitive sleepers. I use a white noise machine every night or I can't sleep because any sound wakes me. In the past I've had to search for devices that don't have a detectable loop...because I can hear the repeat of the track and it annoys me enough that I can't get to sleep. I forgot my white noise machine on vacation and almost panicked because I knew I wouldn't get much sleep without it. However, I did have my IPad so without much hope I decided to see if there was an app I could use. I tried a couple of the other free white noise apps but the sound on those varied to much to be soothing. Took a chance on purchasing this one based on previous reviews and very glad I did. I like the brown noise the best and the night time clock is a great feature.

I use it every night!. I travel often and bought this app as a way of creating a consistent sleeping environment no matter where I am. There is an entire library of sounds, and you can create a mix, which varies the intensity of the chosen sounds and really keeps you from noticing any looping in the soundtrack (though most people wouldn't notice it at all, even without mixing sounds). We are able to set an alarm time and a time for the sound to stop. I also really like the fact that you can now change the color of the full screen clock. I thought the white was a bit bright, but the red we used last night was perfect. All in all a five star app that does exactly what it should (and a little extra too!

A Lifesaver. Before I discovered this app, I used to bring a sound machine with me when i travelled, which is frequently. With limited space in my suitcase, I sometimes had to choose between bringing the sound machine and the extra pair of shoes. I am a very light sleeper and if I don't have some constant noise going on during the night, I will wake up every 15 minutes, so inevitably I would have to leave the shoes behind. The wonderful thing about this app, besides the convenience of having it on my iPad which I always have with me, is that I can create my own sounds (very easily) so I'm not limited to just a handful of nature sounds. In addition, you will never hear a pattern playing over and over like some sound machines do. I absolutely LOVE this app!!!
