Best podcast... Hopefully better app. The roman history podcast is wonderful. I bought the app hoping to support the podcast. Pros: download for offline listening Cons: app doesn't do much else Really this could be great: each episode could (but doesn't) have maps of roman expanse, key battles, portraits, coins etc. Maybe one day they will

Missing episodes. I love the podcast. I bought this app because Stitcher didn't have the first 66 episodes. The app worked great for a month or so, but now it won't display episode 22 to 66. Maybe it's my old iPod touch at fault, but if it's not compatible with the touch. They should say so.

Good podcast but.... I'm a huge THoR fan, but there are two problems with this app: (1) It can be slow sometimes and takes alot of time (sometimes minutes) to buffer when you try to rewind 30 secods or even in the middle of the episode. (2) It's a huge data hog. I listened to an episode 3 times and it cost me 350 meg of data transfer, which took me over my 200 meg limit :( The lesson here for everyone is to make sure you're using wireless when you listen to the episodes with this app. Alternatively, you simply use the old-fashioned method of downloading the episode frim iTunes or the blog. I would normally give it 2 stars, but because the quality of the THoR podcast itself I'm giving it an extra star.

Revised review.... After a few months of listening, and with the recent update, I am upping my review to 5 stars. Yes, the podcast is free on iTunes, but the convenience of having the entire series within an app is very much worth the price. The "starred episodes" feature makes it very easy to keep track of where you are in the series. And I love being able to download for offline listening from within the app. I just hope that a portion of the sales go to support this excellent podcast.

How Good Is It?. Even after listening to the complete podcast I find myself going back and replaying many of the episodes. Why? Because through Duncan Rome lives again! His podcast “Rules Supreme”

Excellent !!!!. Although I'm a scientist, I received a classical education (Latin, Greek , etc). Have travelled in Italy and Greek. Learned a little here and there ....but it never "all came together" until this app. Well presented and executed audio history app. The app might be useful in a language or history course. There is mild profanity so the teacher may wish to review first. I'm receiving an excellent review and entertainment at the same time. OUTSTANDING !!!!! PS This should be required listening for all our politicians !!!

Love this app!. Sometimes it seems we've lost some of the best things -especially a sense of history and a love of the classics. Here's an app that presses the reset button. Give it a try! History comes to life.

The sound player does not work. The content is very good but the app is just a cheap webpage and the sound player doesn’t work properly. When you try to play any episode, the sound player gets stuck, doesn’t show any signs of playing back, one minute later starts playing/streaming with no indication of progress in the sound player so you can’t pause it or stop it. You have to force the app to close. I stick to the original podcast.

Would like to see a list of all the episodes. I throughly enjoy this podcast turned app, the only reason why I havnt rated this app 5 stars is because not all the episodes are available. I used to get this for free last year, now that I'm paying nearly 2 dollars please add the rest of the episodes
