pro-knot. Very good app. Clear concise directions and steps for practicing knot tying. Have always wanted to learn the Bimini knot. The only thing missing for me is the Snell knot, and possibly the Orvis knot for tying on flies to tippet material. I would buy this app again.

great app. This is an excellent application. Always having to tie down gear and now I know the right way to do it.

Awesome Reference App for Fishheads. This is very very good application. I like it and recommendable. I even have the web site location on my fav. Just one question. Is this one going to have an upgrade? If there's one can you guys add the "Non Slip Loop knot". Like I said, this is my reference guide and I also show this app to my friends specially my friends wants to go fishing(first time) Still a five star for me.

Simple, Perfect. Great interface, clean illustrations, and intuitive step by step guide for tying your own knots. Well worth the $0.99. Great work.

Videos do not work. Good app but the videos do not work. I paid for the in-app video purchase but it keeps asking to pay an additional fee. When I go through the process again, the App Store says that the purchase has already been made.

Cool App. I was checking out my Brothers iphone and saw this app. After playing with it, I had to have it. Already used it a few times tying down some stuff in the back of the truck.

Pro-Knot. I’ve been a satisfied customer for years. When iOS 13 came out and the app was not working I contacted them and had a prompt response. I can’t recommend them enough.

Great app but...... This app used to be awesome but now I can’t open it on my iPhone XR it needs to be updated, especially since it had to be paid for.

Awesome offline reference for knots of all kinds. I’ve been a happy user of ProKnot for many years, ever since I bought a new tent and needed to learn how to tie my own adjustable guy lines without needing extra doo-dads. Enter the bowline and the tautline hitch. When the app stopped working with iOS 13, I reached out and got a quick response from John that he’d look into it, and lo and behold, the latest update released today resolves the issue. My guy lines have held up to strong winds, thanks to ProKnot’s clear transmission of knot wisdom. Fishing knots have proven useful, as have a number of others. I find myself swiping through new knots, thinking up ways to apply them in my daily life, or imagining new activities in which I might be able to use them. And nothing beats having an offline reference when cell service is spotty and you find that you need a knot you didn’t know you needed. Thanks, John.

Awsome. I was going to buy a book on knots but this is a great deal and has most of the knots I was interested in. I would love to see a section on hunting/outdoor knots such as the prussic under a diffrent section for easy refrence and application. The fishing section is great. Thanks

Could knot live without it. I have had this app for years and it’s done good by me over its time in my pocket so it deserves a good review. Simple to use and is extremely helpful when trying to find and execute the right knot for your application.

Love the app, but doesn’t open in iOS 13. I’ve loved this app for years. However, after upgrading to iOS 13, the app doesn’t open (black screen and then crashes after 5 seconds). Will certainly update to five stars once the issue is resolved!

Great aid. learning a new knot or as a quick refresher, this app is the go to app for me. The video portion is great for the times I just can’t seem to wrap my mind around the instructions even though they are pretty clear. Recommend this app.

Nice. This is a great app and I've used it several times. The ONE thing that would make this perfect is a list or something that would give you definitions of what the knots are good for. Most of the time I know what I want I want to create but dont know which knot is appropriate.

Most accurate knot app!. I use several knots for kite aerial photography and find Pro Knot to be the most accurate app for knots. Pro Knot is one of the few sites to depict the Palomar knot correctly. This app makes it easy to reference my favorite knots quickly and easily. Thanks John Sherry!

Pro knot. Paid for app that does not open. I have an iPhone 7 Plus with latest 13.1.2 update, yet all I get is a black screen please fix or refund me!

ok. Dont expect much. You get what you see. Just a few pictures with three steps. They screen doesn't stay on either like better apps. Its hard to tie a know for the first time with the screen dimming and both your hand occupied. I think I'll check out the Knot Time app

Cub Scout Leader. I will be using this app often while teaching my Cub Scouts knots. I didn't know but a couple and now I have at least 6 down thanks to this app and their website!

App crashes with new iOS 13.1.2 update. As others have stated, 13.1.2 crashes this app. It’s unfortunate because it was a great app. It’s a little worrisome that it will ever be fixed since the last update was three years ago

Saves the day. I love this app! Everything works great and it stays open for good amount of time. After my head injury i have difficulty remembering these knots (im a fly fisher) but with my iPhone and this app i can get the thing tied up! Thanks guys for the update and keep 'em coming.

Very useful app. I find myself going to this app often as fishing conditions change and a go to knot simply will not do. I can quickly search by the type of knot for a particular job and get step by step instructions on how its tied.

Useful, worth the price. A great,simple to use app which is helpful for confusing knots. Has updated 3 times since I downloaded it in about 6 months so they are adding knots and keeping up on the app

Wow! So easy to understand!. Wow, John! Your organization & communication skills shine thru on this very cool app! I love that you explain in simple straightforward terms what each knot is used for, & then give the history of each one. Never knew knots could be so darn interesting! I grew up sailing on my dads boat all the time as a kid & was constantly asked to remember to tie different knots! I would always forget! Now next time he comes to visit I'm gonna surprise the heck out of him & show him a knot or two that I just happen to now. ;-) And now, having a reference on how to tie knots AND which ones to use in different situations, I'm all set! One of the first & one of the best.. If I could only choose one knot app, this would be the one. It has clear, concise illustrations and instructions. The developer has a set of water-proof cards that I have had for years. I recommend that, too. The animation feature is well worth the price. 5 stars ★★★★★

Great fishing tool. I've used this app to learn to tie many fishing knots. The instructions are clear and concise. The diagrams are very helpful, and the videos lower the learning curve significantly.

Easily the best app for this purpose. I've bought a few applications to suit my knot-tying needs and let's just say I was less than satisfied. With the Pro-Knot app, however, my needs were fulfilled. It's nice to be in the great outdoors and have the most necessary knots for many occasions at my fingertips. Simple and Resourceful App. Great app to have for the outdoors. Easy and simple to use with all the knots in one place. I have random knot guides in my camping kit and this makes things a bit easier without having to sort through my gear. Great deal since physical guides are $5+, great app!

Pro Knot. Love this. Simple and elegant. I used to know some of these way back when I was a boy scout and have long since forgotten, but this makes it easy to remember when the need arises, and it does, not infrequently. Awesome!. This app rocks! All the instructions are clear and easy to understand. The pictures are superb and very helpful. This has one of the most intuitive and cleanest interfaces I've seen. Great for beginners and advance!

Great for beginners and review. I have the other knot apps (Knot Time and Knot Guide), but I prefer this app for it's simplicity and focus. It provides only the essential knots and a good description of when to use them. However, I think all the apps are great together because some knots are tricky and the different representations can really help.

Annoying - "I Agree". Even though, overall, it is a nice app. it really annoying to constantly have to "Agree" to the discalimer concerning climbing liability. It may be my light touch, but I have problems being able to hit the small arrow to switch between sceens.

Good but not great. I bought this after seeing it in the "What's Hot" list. I've been wanting a knot tying app and the references to a book and decent reviews made it sound like a good deal for $0.99. After checking it out, it's probably worth what I paid but not more. First, the "warning" about climbing is annoying every time you start the app. The diagrams are just simple drawings in a single color, but on the plus side, there is a text description that sorta kinda explains the next step. But It uses knot lingo (like "standing end") that you have to figure out. It has a useful set of knots but isn't a "reference" on a bunch of knots. After being intrigued by this app, I did a search for "knot" on the App Store and found a bunch. I eventually also bought Knot Guide (by Winkpass I believe). It is only $0.99 more and not only does it have more knots, but actual photographs augmented with directional arrows, a Favorite Knots feature for quick access, a knot lingo page and the ability to suppress the startup/warning page. You also dont have to rotate your phone. For me, I think I like it better, if for no other reason than it has a few more knots to try.

Pro-Knot. Very poorly illustrated. Definately no better than a book. Doesn't deserve to be on an iPhone. Should be offered as a free program in it's current form.

Handy App. A good reference when your not tying knots everyday and need a refresher. Includes useful fishing and rope tying knots. The animations are good and easy to follow.

Great app for knots. I can never remember some of the fishing knots I use infrequently. This is a great app for a refresher or to learn new ones. There was a problem with the video but this was quickly resolved. Great app!

Not Animated. I saw animated rope knots for $0.99 and animated fishing knots for $0.99 . Then I saw Pro knots but afer I bought it I found out it's not animated. Wish I had read closer cause for the same money I could have had what I wanted, animated knots. So if you want the animated ones buy them each on their own for the same cost as this $1.99

I paid now they want more money. Lame app. I paid for it and used to be able to watch animations. It now asks for in app purchases to watch videos. Ripped off and deleting.

Kool Tool. Purchased 05/31/2016 on a new iphone 5se. Videos wouldn't play, just got message display that they needed to be purchased. Contacted developer and heard back from them the same day. They resolved the problem and it now works as it should. Even though I have a set of the cards, I would buy again as it is a very useful tool.
