Can’t even get the zoning map correct 🤦‍♀️. This app is not good at all. I knew from screen one it wasn’t going to be worth downloading even if it had been free. I am in zone 10a and it keeps putting me in zone 9. That’s literally the foundation of gardening. Do not pay for this!

Not worth it. Bottom line , give me my money back, not worth .99 cents let alone 4.99 Functionality could not be anymore basic has no real functionality

A bit on the simple side but better than others. The app only has the very basics for a typical garden. I'd like to see additional veggies and a full list of herbs. Better yet, a database in which to search and add the specific plant. Another helpful feature would include a photo of seedlings similar to those found on seed packets. Overall, the app is good, but not great.

Need more plants!. I love this app... But please add more plants. You have no herbs listed - I am not asking for anything rare, just basil, sage, mint, etc. How about artichoke, pumpkin, and other veggie's people plant.

not worth 4.99 at all...just buy a good gardening book in the bargain bin at B&N. I am a new gardener and this was too basic even for me and my few raised beds and pots of veggies, fruits and herbs. I have great eyesight but the pics of the 'pests' for each plant were TINY and there was no information on anything beyond bugs such as fungus. There is no info on what behaviors bring out these bugs or diseases such as improper soil balance, weather or planting companions as is there is limited dialog on what to do if these pests show up beyond naming some pesticides. Also, there is absolutely no info on how to prune or pick fruits/veggies from plants other than the wiki (which is horribly basic in some cases); Really, I could CARE LESS about the history of the squash. Kind of lame to lean on a wiki link instead of entering the info on your own. Proper picking and pruning can really make a difference in the appearance/health/production of most plants. I believe for consistency this info should be hand added vs. leaning on an inconsistent link like wiki. I could go to wiki for FREE. VERY LIMITED in fruits. I could not find blackberries or raspberries. I would think this would be very common. I don't know if the list sorts out only by your zone but I know that both grow fine in my zone during this time frame and were not on the list. Some have said this has potential but I worry about what it was like at the inception since I'm getting the latest update. It has a VERY LONG WAY to go to be useful to even the most basic of gardeners. I would need the following: * Stop leaning on wiki for info, it's inconsistent, enter info from truted sites here in tab form (planting times, care guides, diseases/pests, pruning/picking) * The update said there was info for those who did not grow from seeds; I have yet to find this! * Discussions around diseases as well as bug pests and several resolutions and possible gardener-inflicted causes (overwatering, soil ph, fertilizing errors) * Green options for pest/disease control as well as ferilizing * Maybe a discussion forum sectioned by zone and plant to see what others are experiencing out there * A disease/pest dictionary where you can view pics of several leaves/fruits that are damaged, match them up with damage occuring in your garden and then find out what it is There are no highly rated gardening apps out there that I could find and I chose this one strictly b/c the description seemed to be everything I needed. If the creators could fix theese errors then this could be a great app but as it is it's worthless in it's current form.

Great app the first year. But no way export notes, dates planted, varieties, etc. from year to year, so you lose the power of record keeping. Other than that, an excellent app.

Good start, but. Just downloaded the iGarden and it looks like a very good start. The main problem with this program for me is it doesn't let me preplan my vegetable garden seeds. When I select a vegetable it just says I've planted them and starts a timer for harvest. It would be nice to preplan what I'm going to plant then check a tab or something to show it was then planted.

This could be great!. Please oh please add plants, not just seeds. About the only things we can plant from seed this early are greens and peas. I have to start everything else inside.

Potential. This app has potential but lacks personalization of seed and growth tracking and really needs to have better graphs an charts. This app could be sent over the edge as the best out there with some future updates an better formats.

Neat but could be better.. This is a cool app and I bought it partly to fund its improvement. Thoughts: I'd love more functionality in the my garden tab- ability to click on a listing and view the info from there and not have to go back to the seeds tab and scroll through the whole list, the notes feature integrated so that I can take notes on a specific variety or where I put it, ability to edit days to germination in my garden to reflect varietal differences. I'd like some way to represent what was started inside and what was direct seeded. Some items (strawberry, onion, garlic and others) need the option of seed or bulb start. While I primarily do veggies, it would be nice to see some flowers in there. Push alerts for frost? A way to access others' custom input seeds or add them to the database. If I enter all the info on 5 Color Silverbeet, there's no reason someone else should have to do all that work too. Seed saving tips? I look forward to seeing what emerges.

My wish list!. I'm tremendously excited about where this app can go, I believe it has a promising future. I would love to see more variety in data fields per plant (# seeds, varieties, start indoor/outdoor, notes, and "other"). I would also love a personal seed cache between plants and my garden with the ability to add my own plants. Any chance of a storage to save the idividual plant notes at the end of season? Thanks for designing this app!

Cool!!!. Every year at this time I begin setting my goals for my garden at this time...I look forward to using this app...so far I love it.

Ok, but needs some help. PLEASE add a feature where you can edit the date planted. I just downloaded the app and tried entering the seeds I planted a few weeks ago into "my garden "- but the date that is entered as the date planted is today's date. I have no way to go into the app and change the date to the actual date planted. Now my harvest date is incorrect. Also, as many others have requested, add more herbs!! Otherwise, I like it so far!

Not enough features. This app does not have enough functionality. I would like to keep notes and enter my own harvest date. Not worth the current price. Would wait until they've made updates.

Good. Not perfect but workable. The more I work with it the better it gets, I like the aspect that you can add things to the database and modify them.

Good app, lots of potential. I have not used very long but I do like it alot. Price is a little high for what you get, unless u grow alot of stuff from seed. I have hope that this app will grow into the cost paid. My request for updates would be an improved database (existing covers many common veggies and herbs but is limited) with more fruits and veggies and maybe even common flowering garden plants & the option to add plants not grown from seed as prior reviewers have stated (I only grow about half my garden from seed).

Ok. It is an ok app! I recently downloaded Vegetable Tree - Gardening Guide and that app is the best. Go and download that it has awesome reviews and excellent customer support!

Almost useless .... If you have any gardening experience, this will be of little to no value. Too basic. Wish I could get a refund.

A very informative app!. I've looked at the other gardening apps but they just do not have all the features that iGarden USA provides like planting as seed or as plant. I also like the detailed zone information. For improvements I would like to have the ability to share my customs seed info with others and export my garden and note info. keep up the good work!

Great starting App. I haven't seen anything else out there like this and was happy to find it. It's a simple app with tons of room to grow :) I downloaded after the growing season (I'm a "green" green thumb) so I was a little disappointed I couldn't really use it. I'll have it for next year I suppose. I'd love to see fruit listed. There was watermelon, but no berries etc... Thanks for getting this app to market! I think it will be very useful to alot of people. Maybe in future versions linking to other people using the app would be nice for us newbies to share experiences...

Great app for a novice. I love the climate zones as well as links to Wikipedia. I am also able to easily share my data. Thank you.

My Review. Could still use some work. I click on the My Garden tab at the bottom and there is no way to add items to the list. I assume there is supposed to be a Add icon in the upper right corner like on all the other tabs but there isn't. Continue to add more fruits, veggies, and herbs. There are different varities of plants. For instance tomatoes have regular, cherry, and grape varities. Does the planting info apply to every varity? How about somewhere in the app a place for gardening tips, dos and dont's, something for newbies to gardening will need to know. That info will make them want to buy this app to. Basically the more all inclusive this app can possibly be, it will be the best gardening app of any other. For 5 bucks I would expect to see virtually every veggie, herb, and fruit there is to plant, every varity of each, tips section with dos and dont's, and most importantly... fix the My Garden tab!!!! Thanks

Good, but.... I wish I could change the planting date. I sowed seeds earlier and when I enter them I wish I could put a future or past planting date for calculating to harvest. Nice graphics and helpful info.

I like it!. This is a simple app. I like that it tracks my plants and seeds progress. I also like that it directs you to a web page if you need help. If you want to know about tomatoes and you click the web page, it takes you right to it! It has helped me a lot in finding how to rid my garden of squash bugs!!

Ok. This app has great promise for vegetable farmers. Please change the number pad used for entering new seeds. I would like to put dashes in days to harvest, ex 50-60, instead of just one number. It would also be nice to be able to enter a transplant date. This is a gardening app that is finally on the right track, keep up the good work.

Too much for too little. Like others have said . . . selection limited. Harvest time is not even close. Better info on my seed packets.

Can't add my plants. Awesome app, but it won't let me tap the "add as plant" button, only the one about it, "add as seed"...makes the app unusable for me. And the climate zone map doesn't match what the app says my zip code is. I'm guessing it's an inaccurate map and whatever electronic database the app uses is more correct, but still. Please fix!

Getting there.... Thank you for developing such a handy app. for a tech-geek turned apprentice botanist & gardener such as myself. It's definitely the leading one available as far as quality and depth of information. It really helps me look up info i need while I'm indoors planning to plant, as well as outside putting them in the ground or trying to identify pests I might encounter. My main recommendation at the moment is for there to be a way to get at the detailed plant information from the My Garden section where it indexes only the plants I'm currently interested in keeping track of for growth rate, pests, ph, etc. through the season. That would be far less frustrating than having to page through the longer index, and would be as simple as putting in the button link on the My Garden plant's page, and de-emphasizing the plant date once it has been adjusted and saved. I hope that clarifies the kind of simple workflow improvements I'd like to see in the app. as an enthusiastic user. Other things I would love to have in it would be a button similar to the insect one where I could see pathogen information for the plant, such as signs and symptoms of potential fungal, bacterial, or viral infections. Another good one would be an info line for optimum nutrient levels. An improvement on the schedule planning side would be information on beneficial crop rotations and/or ways of planning plot areas by numbers rather than with individual seed plantings, with beneficial rotation sequences recommended or customizable for those plots based on what has been in them. Of course, I know these are lofty and long-term goals for the app., but I do the rotation thing in a rudimentary way with spreadsheets on my laptop.

Junk. Junk. All the screens get mixed together when going in-between tabs. Completely unreadable and jumbled..does not work at all on my phone even after deleting and reinstalling. REFUND

Very good for what it is, but far from thorough. Although I love this app and think it's a fantastic tool, I was disappointed by the very limited number of plants included, but it does allow users to add their own seed/plants & info so that it can be a complete guide with some work by the user.

Too much $ for what it is. I like the app, but it was not worth $4.99. It is beautiful to look at, but not enough information can be stored and it is far too simplistic for $5.

Excellent but could be perfect with improvements. Love many things about the app. However it doesn't help us when we plant other than from seeds. I wish we could also choose how many inches a plant is and do the same timeline. Also it says which plants are incompatible so i wish when we clicked to add them to the garden it would automatically group compatible plants together or seperate the non-compatible ones so if we have several boxes it would help us more easily plan it out. I like how it shows the insect threats to each plant. If it cant tell us harvest time except from seed maybe it could tell us average time for seed to sprout or reach a certain height so we can manually change the calendar to know harvest time when planting young plants rather than seeds. Love how it knows my zone from zipcodes... Also planting time is wrong if not using seeds so perhaps another section of the app could be for planting from other than seeds

Ok.... I have to agree with some folks on here... this is a solid app, but it could be a great app! It needs more herbs and fruit. Extremely limited there... Also would like to see different sub-types of vegetables... Not just onions, but green onions, vidalia onions. That would be nice. Solid app, would just like to see more for $5... weather, I don't care about, other apps can tell me that... I want more content.

iGarden. Certainly not worth $5. Not even worth it if it's free, it doesn't do much besides show the weather. For a paid app, I expected to be able to scan in the codes at least. But no, I couldn't even get it to show the plants in the pre-supplied plant list that I had saved to show up in the MY garden tab. Says it will show pests and remedies for individual plants, I never saw it do anything like that.

Too simple. This is an attractive Ap, well organized easy to use. It only covers basic vegtables and minimal information on those. Only allows recording of date planted, no way to record other information. What I would like to see in the future: •A place for notes, a way to record fertilizing schedules and problems such as insect infestations, harvest yeilds late freezes, etc. •Advice on fertilizing and insect control for each plant, both chemical and organic solutions. •Options for diferent gardening styles. With the organic/ green movement, Intensive Gardening is a must for many new city dwelling gardeners! •Advice for which plants should be started in flats and which do best seeded directly into the garden. If the plant will do well if planted in pots (and recomended pot size). •Care information: when to thin, when to stake, pinching back, signs of problems, etc. specific to plant. •Appropriate watering advice/schedule for zone/season/soil type. Including if plants love water on leaves or if this will create a problem. •Reminders/alarms so care items are not missed. •It would be great if this Ap could work with a weather service using zipcode and keep a record of weather fluxuations during period between planting and harvest.

Too basic. Agree with other review. Way too basic and I'm a novice gardener. Some of the information contradicted other sources so I question the accuracy.

Come on. There are tons of different varieties of veggies with different harvest dates. Update this app with more tha. Just "brocolli" and add more veggies and you will be at the top of the garden app list. That I can assure you. Edit: I still think alot is to be had but this app is getting better. If your gonna charge more than a dollar then you need to add all the veggies that you can muster up. Allow me to add my custom seed choices without having to add something to every category. More updates and this app could take the cake.

!!AMAZING!!. This app is so perfect. I live how detailed it is. It's not boring like some others. I LOVE IT!!!

Not much in the data base. The structure is there but not much data base. A fraction of what it should be for the price. I took a chance and bought this. The downfall of apps. You never know really what your getting. They make you make your own data base so you do the work of filling it out. Looks like they also abandoned this app as the last update was a year ago. Shame. Don't waste your money.

Somewhat helpful but limited.. Two suggestions...... First, I would love to see plants added. Second, would love to see pictures of damage caused by pests to help identify and correct more quickly. Otherwise, an ok app.

Great gardening app!. A great app for quick lookup of my vegetable information and when I should be planting. It even keeps track of my own garden so I know how long until I can reap the harvest. It's very easy to understand and use.

promising but not useful. The seeds are very generic, which is fine, because you want to add your own info from your seed packets anyway. That's where the problem lies. You have to enter all the values it asks for or it won't go any further. It asks for min. and opt. germination temperature, which I have yet to see on a seed package. Most go by frost date, which this app doesn't indicate. I want to know how many weeks before or after the frost date to plant. It also asks for soil ph which isn't on most packages. You can't add plants in the future. If you make a list of your own plants in "my garden" the date indicates the day you added to the list, not the actual date you plan to plant. I don't see how this app is useful for planning. It's probably good for journalling as you go, but not planning.

Nice, but not quite done.. Nicely done, and great potential, but not quite there yet. 1st vegetable I looked up was corn, and it wasn't listed. I would also like to have the vegetables listed by name (as they are) but ALSO by starting dates.
