Cool little app!. Works great, my only wish is that it worked beyond my local network. How 'bout adding that functionality? I don't care about paying for a version w/o ads, but I would pay for one w/ more features.

Great App. This app is a great for lazy people who wants to shut their computer from anywhere in network. I love it as I find this app too handy to do my basic operations. I work late nights so sometimes while I am on bed I become too lazy at 3AM to stand-up and shut the PC. I forget some times too, but I guess with this app life is easy! Thanks to Hobbyist Software. Also, guys you can give shutdown command from a remote desktop app, but that would take you 2-3 minutes to start and hit shut down vs this is just a click away and works with all PC and Mac.

Haven't used it but..... You should be able to use the app to turn your computer on BECAUSE if the computer is off you could still use your router/modem's wifi. I use my itouch's wifi without my computer on. Then again, it's called off for a reason. I'm getting it.

Great tool. This is so easy to set up and it works. U don't have to spend ur money on another app. This free one allows u to do everything.

It do the Job, but. This is a 5 stars app, as it promise, it works on both Mac & PC, controls as many computers as you have, provides many features to control your computer that many other similar apps does not have . But the annoying ads bar and the delays make it practically unusable.

On button. This is a great app but I gave it four stars because it really needs a on button and a log off button would be great to.

Works perfect. Some people say he sells your email to others. But he doesn't. I have used this product and it works great. The only reason he needs your email is to send a download link to the computer. It works, try it. And if you are concerned about your email (which you don't need to be), make a new one for this. Try it, it works. PS- An on button isn't possible. The computer can't be turned on by any means but the power button.

DO NOT GET THIS APP!!! READ MY REVIEW FIRST!!!!. this stupid app developer asks for your email to "send you instructions" and sells it to companies who send you junk mail for porn! BUYER BEWARE!!! my email has been very secure against junk mail, and as soon as i asked this app to send me the instructions i started getting junk mail and never got the instructions. DO NOT GET THIS APP unless you want porn junk in your email.

Totally works!!!. It SO works. I even upgraded to the full paid version. I have multiple computers connected to my router, wirelessly and thru the cat5. I couldn't get all my computers to show up on the scan at first either, but it was my own fault!!! If you have a firewall running it will disallow access! You must check your blocked programs list for "bonjour", this service will be caught by all firewalls and is needed for Off to run. As soon as I unblocked Bonjour from all my firewalls, all my computers populated in the scan!! ALSO: don't be afraid to email the author of this app, he is a great guy and helped ne through this whole firewall issue.

Works like charm. Wish I had this for a long time , so easy to install and works great !

Worked one time. I wanted to have a way to lock my daughter’s computer and decided to give this a try. After using it once, now when I open the app there is a spinning wheel next to the computer mane and when I select it, the page is completely blank. Hard closing the app hasn’t helped. I’ll have to try something else now.

Windows 7 - works like a charm. Works excellent! Love this app. Use it daily to shut down my pc after streaming movies via xbox media center and never have to get out of bed. Just purchased full version. Thanks!

Works well for the first use . . . . .. It worked the very first time I used it. Then - NEVER again. I thinks it's great that you are allowed to try it for free, because you shouldn't spend money on something which will only work once. I followed installation instructions to the letter, and the best tech help I received was, "it must be a problem w/your machine". It is a good idea which needs major tweaking. Try before you buy. P_O

Missing " On " button & the other etc.... If Yours can add " on " and " Log Out " or even add the seeing Screen feature " for example : you can see your Mac or PC Screen so you can check what's going on on your Mac or PC without going there. If that possible, This " Off App " would be 7 Stars beat all the Apps from iTunes Apps Store. And We'll happy to pay 10 or 15 bucks . really looking forward to it, hope above feature will coming soon, if yours can make this things actually happening, than Yours are the best of the best of making #1 App in iTunes Apps Store . Love This App. This app works perfectly! You may need to respond to your computer verfying it is ok for Off to listen before it works. I am using it on 3 computers. Looking forward to messing with my boys when they get on next. ;-)

Anti-Stupid. NOTE: I did not use this app. This is just an attempt to counter the people taking off stars for it not being able to turn their computer ON with this app. It can't. This app works via your WiFi network, and your computer can't be hooked up to the WiFi if it's off. Seriously, it's common sense.

Hahaha!. Oh yes!!!!!! I told my brother to quit slowing down the Internet he didn't listen, BAM! it turns off on him Ty ! Probably a useless app other than this though

Convenient. Very convenient and handy. Dont have to getoff bed anymore to switch it off . If only they had more feature like reduce/incr volume as well.

Windows 10 issue. I used the software to turn off the computer and it worked! However when I went to turn my computer back on it failed to turn on at all. It would try to start and then stopped. I had to pull the power to be able to start it. Then I got a message that something tried to post something to the bios. I said no of course and the computer then finished booting but a bit slower. I mmediately removed the software from my phone and computer !

Genius Laziness.... Very nice app...clean, does what it's suppose to (as long as YOU have your Wi-Fi network is setup properly!). Tested it on a PC at work and then my MAC at home. Two thumbs up to developer!

don’t bother it’s paywalled. “free”, it’s a massive paywall, you cannot do anything unless you buy the paid subscription, any buttons or clickable icons send you straight too the subscription screen, there isn’t a way too make any function work without that screen, side note, the UI is terrible looking. disappointing.

Fails to shutdown systems. I installed the helper on two seperate systems, XP and Vista. Both systems responded to my IPOD request to shutdown however Windows failed to shutdown. Either there were open files or users connected. An option to "Force" a shudown is strongly required. Becuase the app failed to shutdown, the main purpose for the app, I only gave it one star. If this was corrected I would most likely purchase the full version.

Good app. This app looks nice though at some parts the resolution is slightly off and parts of objects stretch beyond the screen a tad bit, first and foremost however, it works and is a very convenient thing to have.

Great!. It works! Uses wi fi that's why it can't turn the computer on. Perfect as is! I don't mind the delay since I'm lazy to get up in the first place. Even though my hp comes with a remote that puts the computer in sleep turning it off is the only option I need.

Very good. The ads and the wait tine in the free version is a little bit annoying, but is not enough to prevent you to test it. It works like a charm for me since I just use to put my hypc to sleep. Excelent app for what is intend to do.

Doesn't work. I was ready to buy the full version, but for some reason I manage to make it work few times, it couldn't find my computers all the time probably because of the PC file. I e-mailed the dev. and told me to try the BETA which I did, and made everything unoperational. I might try again in the future because I like this app, (if it's working) but right now, I deleted it.

Does exactly as it says. I don't get the negative reviews on this app. It does exactly as advertised and it's very easy to set up. I'm glad for once an app just works as promised. 5 stars.

Loading and searching. Searching my lap top is really slow and haven't got it to load it.

Works ok but for one issue. So far using this app it appears to work as intended but unfortunately when trying to shut down a system a small window pops up allowing another user to cancel the shut down before it happens. I downloaded this app to log my son off his computer as he spends too much time on it but he simply cancels the request and I'm left with still powering down my wifi as the Ultimate solution

Does what it says but could be better. This app will allow you to send off commands to your computer, but it could be a lot better. Number one problem with the free version is you have to wait up to 60 seconds before you can send a command. Anyone looking for an app to turn off your computer I recommend PC Monitor. Not only can you send commands but you can also monitor things most people probably do not even understand about your computer or server.

Control your teens screentime!. This app is just what I was searching for to control my 13-year old's screentime. When he will not cease playing when told it's bedtime - Off Remote solves the problem. Likewise when seen playing games during virtual school! Straightforward to install and use. Magic!

Pretty slick, but two cons. This app does what it says, and does it pretty well. One issue is that on my Windows 7 machine, it doesn't seem to "see" my PC when the PC is locked. As soon as I manually unlock it, it detects my computer and I can proceed. From there, I like it. As mentioned before, if you would write in some Wake On Lan functionality, this would be really a spectacular app. I have yet to find one that does both. Lastly, the delayed loading of options is so annoying, but I'm sure it generates great revenue from impatient people who buy the paid app as a result. :)

What a scam. You would expect a $5 app to work. It was working, then stopped working. Won’t connect.

FANTASTIC!!!. This app is so fantastic. Now when ever i want to go on my pc and there is my brother i can lock it, and go on it my self. i can even turn it off when i go to bed and find out i left my pc on, without getting out of bed! If you ever need any help just email the developer and he will for sure help you. when i email him i recived a reply within 1-2 hours!

Awesome. My husband and I both have this app on our iPods. We have a couple computers on our networks and this is just what I needed. I always stress about if I've turned the computers off or not. I can do it from anywhere I can reach my wifi network. I love it!

I works well.. I haven't had any problems with it. I would like to see it reboot the pc in the future then i can have both in 1 app. Also if it worked over the internet it would be awesome.

Beast. Works as advertised, I enjoy being able to start a desktop remotely with Mocha WOL and then shut it down remotely with this app once I've got the file I wanted.

One star. Doesn’t work anymore. Forcing me to use a password I never set. Indefinitely loads after I try to enter one.

Nice!. Great application with no problems so far. I just have one thing to point out, the ipad version is not scaled properly. I could only see half of the buttons of the options below. Other than that, great work!

Nag Screen Will Not Allow App To Run. It found my desktop computer just fine, but when I chose to turn it off from the iPhone app a NAG screen to buy premium would pop up! If I went to close the nag screen by tapping the X on the top right right of the screen instead of closing the nag screen, it continually popped up. Totally unusable! I was willing to pay the five bucks, but this has left a bad taste in my mouth. Pass. By the way, is it five dollars period or five dollars a month? Anyway, pass.

The other way around please. Great app but I do wish it could on the computers too or maybe another app to do that

Buy It!. This app is just amazing! It's super easy to use, it's effective, and simple! Please support the devs by getting the full version, because the ads in this version reduce the usability a little.

Simple. Handy (fun). Off is one of those wee apps that you didn't realise you needed, then couldn't live without it. Particularly fun for pulling pranks on family members (my mac turns off whenever my mate walks past it - he thinks he's an mutant-power packing x-men member now).

Just one thing. It's a great app, only problem is it is sometimes slow (the mouse) and I'm not sure if this app is a computer hacking, because my computer froze and I had to shut down :s

WORST experience with Ads ever. If you like ads then get this, it basically forces you to buy the full version with the use of ads. Its not just a simple ad at the bottom it is constant full screen ads. Highly dislike how the creator did that.

Horrible app. Having delayed functionality doesn't make me want to buy your software, instead it makes me want to go to the effort of writing a bad review. Don't bother with the free version, unless you want to wait an arbitrary amount of time before the app will let you use it.

broke my PC. after using this app my pc would not boot and spent many hours fixing the problem. also, the delayed timers on all buttons make this app frustrating and almost useless.

Useful. Although the advertising in the app seems to push everything down a little, it does what it's suppose to. I'm not paying $4 for the full version. Make it $2 and you've got a deal.

I broke my pc. After installing and turning my pc off from this app my computer crashed and I have to format my pc so be careful worst app ever

Amazing!!!. I love this app. Now I can close all of my PC's by not even moving and only with my ipod touch in my hands. This officialy is one of my favourite apps!!!

Doesn. Unfortunately, I found it didn't work for me. For a Mac with several user accounts, it doesn't seem to do anything if any other users are logged in. This is one of the major reasons for using this app, which is to shut down or log off your non-administrative users. Therefore, it's of little value to me and probably a lot of other people.

Not exactly working with windows 10. I want to make my pc sleep but it turns off my monitors but pc still runs.

Great app.. Great app highly recommended.

Doesn't Work. Installed as per the instructions, then spent the rest of the day troubleshooting. In the end it connected to my Mac exactly once, thereafter it wouldn't connect. In my opinion not worth your time. Avoid this one!

?. It would find my computer but it wouldn't open the computer thing! I would just click on it and it would do nothing so i would click on it again and it would do nothing so i would keep trying and it wouldn't work help!!!

Mac 10.4 issues. Really big fan of hobbysofts vlc remote but this one doesnt install on mac os 10.4.11. Vlc was a pain to set up but eventually worked. I dont think its worth my effort for this one.

Works well. I've been using this app for a while now and it's always a handy way to turn off your computer if it's not in the same room or you've just left the house. The delay timer is a bit annoying but effective enough to make me consider buying the full app. A must download.

Useful app. Did everything I hoped it would...can't beat that I guess.

Great App!. Did exactly what it said it would do. Great for sleeping the mac after a movie or music from my iPod. The only thing that could make this better is a timer for each function. Excellent overall!

Forced to buy - Forget it!. While the idea is good and the installation simple, I am extremely annoyed that the free version constantly pushes you to buy the over-priced paid version. In an insulting kind of way I might add. I just un-installed it - forever.

Problem. It is good but I was tring to kick my sister off the computer by using this but the ForceOff doesn't turn the computer off it just sends the command and loads but before it finishes you push cancel and it stops so it doesn't really work

It works well.. Very convenient and useful app. Works as stated and bug free as far as I can see. I would like to get the paid version but for this sort of utility $2.99 is too much. It should be a $.99 app. I think you would find more buyers. I also suggest that a timer function be added for usefulness. Thank you for the app.

Neat little app, my boyfriend and I can help each other with our computer addictions by making sure that when the other person says they'll be done in 20 minutes, the PC's going off in 20 minutes whether or not they do it themselves! I want to buy the full version but like many others have mentioned it's too overpriced, if it was $1.99 or maybe even $2.99 I'd get it immediately for the timer feature.

It crashes. Its slow even for a free app, it lags, and crashes. I've tried reinstalling a few times and nothing has improved. Makes it really hard to "WANT" to pay for the real app and see if it improves.

Garbage. Their idea for "encouraging" you to buy their paid app is to make you wait roughly two minutes before you're able to issue any commands to your computer. I'm not going to support a company that uses such shady tactics!

Free one is great.... But I'm not going to pay $2.99 for the full version. 

Downloads. You have to download the software on ur computer to connect to the ipod

Neat... If it worked. It sees the computer, but does nothing when selecting it. The help file is almost non-existent.

Does not work with iOS7. Stopped working since I upgraded my OS to iOS7.

Not so great.. Running on iOS 8.1, it took almost 20 minutes to find the computers, and it redoes it every time. Once I connected, I couldn't shut them down, only sleep, and it took 5 minutes to do so. I wouldn't recommend this app.

Off the rocker. What a lousy app! Nothing works on the free version. Won't bother to buy to check. Deleted it within 12 hrs of install. Read the reviews before you waste time. Not worth the 1 star.

It doesn't work. But you'll should try "netawake" work better all u need is your mac address. Press start then "RUN" type in cmd a box should appear type in ipconfig. Its your first set of numbers try it out

App it too expensive not worth it to buy paid version. ..

Windows 7. It says it is compatible with windows 7 but I haven't been able to get it working yet. All firewalls are off and it still won't talk to the computer. It can only see it. App is really slow to respond to buttons being touched.

Works great. It's easy to use, and is great when I almost forget to turn my comp off. Great app!!!!!!!!!

Garbage. Useless, doesn't connect, undeniable, barely functions at all. Glad they provide a free version so I was able to find out that it is completely broken before buying.

Needs Linux support. The only machines I might want to turn off or reboot remotely are my Linux servers. This is mostly useless without Linux support, also it does not work properly on my Mac anyway. It crashes on my iPad.
