Convenient. I use this in French class and it comes in handy! Cuts down time it takes to look up words... Therefore priceless.

Great dictionary!. This dictionary meets all the good expectations one would have of Collins. It is easy to navigate and has long and helpful entries.

Quiz don't work. The new quiz (flash cards) doesn't work with your bookmarked words. Useless...

Does not work with OS4. Needs fix for OS4!!

Collins French Dictionary. While this program translates the word requested, it does not give examples of different usages of the words, or, really, any elaboration at all. You expect this from a good dictionary like Collins. It's very bare bones.

This is not the full Collins French. The Ultralingua version is the full Collins French dictionary, not this one. It’s missing some of the example sentences.

Don't get this for IPA. If you want a dictionary for phonetic alphabet transcription, skip this one. Some of the ipa characters come through as question marks.

Better if we could customise settings. For the price this is a good dictionary. However, I would find it more efficient if I could customise settings. Eg changing the English to French default to French to English so that it opened to my own preference every time.

Poor interf. No grammar guide or cultural notes as advertised. Poor user interface. Needs quick scroll.

Daily word. The daily word does not arrive daily. It stays on same word for weeks. Also I need it to be a daily French word not English in order to improve my vocab. Thanks

Pleasure to use. I have used this app before on my N96 and it is a pleasure to have it on my iphone.

Collins French Dictionary. I am disappointed that the Collins French dictionary app which I just paid for does not have function to conjugate verbs as far as I can see.

Simple but elegant!. Excellent too.

Excellent resource for students of the French language. Quick and easy to use. It provides a very useful ‘history’ section which can be used as a learning tool for words previously looked up. Also, there is the option of hearing French words and phrases fluently spoken.

Daily annoying message!. It keeps sending me the same new word, day after day, in English, my mother tongue!

There is no indicator of masculin or féminin. The app is pretty easy to use and the explanation of difference usages of the word is there. However, there is no description of whether a noun is masculin or féminin, which is an essential part of a french dictionary.

Not worth to buy. This app just has phonetic pronunciation And a little examples. And is very different from advertisement I feel tricked after buying..

Always handy. Having my iPhone with me gives me all the tools needed to face the day. This dictionary is a MUST.

Functional and comprehensive. But the product—which I paid $20 for—asks me to rate it five stars every time it opens. This impedes usage of the app, forcing you to click through the pop-up, and is also, even existentially, extremely annoying. No one should be constantly asked to perform this free labour and service for an app that is so costly! Maybe stick with the website (which is free) if you can, until they fix this annoying problem.
