disappointed longtime user. I started using this app in February 2024, and I really valued its simplicity basic design. I mostly just needed an app to write story scripts with color coded syntax, and I didn’t ever need to execute anything. The app always ran fine— had easy access to my google drive which was nice. Then that stupid pop-up ad started showing up and this app became completely unusable. What’s really bizarre is the paywall gives you two choices: a free 3 day trial where after you can pay 3.99 a week or you can forgo the trial and pay 2.99 a week. That’s $208 and $156 respectively. An actual insane difference. I’d gladly pay outright $10 like a lot of other paid editors on this app cost…

Disappointing. I started using this a little bit about a month ago. I had an idea for something I wanted to try later, and I needed something, so I scrolled down to the learn button, to see if there was any documentation on the particular thing. Turns out, you need a subscription to access it. Im annoyed by that, but understand. The app has to make money some how.

STUPID LOADING SCREEN!!!. Hey so basically I love the app and the idea but I am not getting to even start to experience it because of the loading screen or entry screen. Basically what happens is that there is an add that comes up that offers python editor pro or whatever but it won’t let you click off of it once it has come up so nobody can actually use the app because of that stupid loading screen. So please I just ask that you fix this problem and at least just add an option for us to get off of the add. Thank you for your time if you see this.

Paywall. When you open the app, an advertisement that you can’t close pops up. It makes you pay for premium. No way to close it. It really did disappoint me as a beginner just wanting to experiment. It is very deceiving that the app is free then you’re blocked from doing anything unless you pay. Would not recommend unless you want to pay 3.99 a week.

Terminal Usage. So, I am making a discord bot and there is no terminal for me to install a python package. Please make it so there is a terminal and you can install the python package for discord bot making.

Darn little scam. This app is so bad i have been trying to make codes on this app, but it keeps trying to make me buy the subscription they should fix this right away if the Apple developers keep doing this a lot of people might won’t want to use the app and this app should not be number seven on developer tools. I recommend them putting it on 100 because of these darn money scam pop ups do not download it. Wait for them to fix this app

Unusable Without Premium, Dishonest. Whenever you try to use the app, a screen advertising premium pops up, you can’t get out of it without closing and reopening the app. Pretty useless if you want to see how an app works without the premium, compared to with premium, in order to determine if premium is worth it. If paying for the app is mandatory it should be stated up front, not by tricking people into thinking it is useable when it isn’t. Poorly done and basically a scam. If I could give it a lower rating I would.

NOT FREE AT ALL.. I downloaded this app because I was looking for a python coding app and I read a review that said it forces you to buy it and doesn’t let you go out of the window but I thought this was just a membership and the problem was solved so I downloaded it anyway. Turns out either. The problem was not solved or it’s not a problem at all and the free download on the App Store was just a ruse. It doesn’t let you go out of the purchase screen no matter how many times you close the app. Either you buy the membership or you don’t use it at all. I’m going to try finding one that’s actually free or gives you the OPTION to spend money or not.

Great but Severely Limited. The app was working well for me as I was just learning python and the app was an effective way to practice on the go. Unfortunately it seems to lack the ability to pip install, which effectively prevents any well refined program due to mathematical and UI limitations.

App immediately prompts me to purchase the premium version. Window can’t be closed. As said in the title, the moment I open the app, a pop up window prompts me to purchase “Python Editor Pro.” The pop up does not have any “close” button. And trying to dismiss it by swiping has no effect. I have closed the app multiple times, and each time I am greeted by the same sight.

Great but missing something. Id rate rate the 5 stars because its great for phones but when I tried to use turtle I could tell if it didn’t work (incomplete) of if it didn't exist pls fix

I used to use it but now it asks for $4 per month. I used to use it and it worked fine but now i need to pay before I can do ANYTHING! I lost my projects because I tried to access my old files and I could I downloaded them but then it got deleted because I lost the phone they were on. I very muchly dislike this app.

Bad app. Opened app, immediately attacked with “are you enjoying app” rating before I could do anything. The moment that closes, I’m forced into a 3-day trial pop up stuck on my screen. Closed app, reopened, loaded my file, and forced 3-day trial pop up stuck on screen again. Update: Because of Dev response I decided to retry. Sadly it still forces a trial. There is nothing free to use or access unless I subscribe first. The 3 day trial seems to be the “free mode”.

Bait and Switch?. I’ve been using this app for a while and I was never forced to sign up for premium subscription to use it. The most recent update now prompts for premium WITHOUT a way to close the ad out WITHOUT subscribing for premium. Seems like the dev needs to either make this a paid app or give users the ability to choose if they subscribe.

Fine for simple scripts. It's fine for reviewing simple scripts since it's limited. I wish it was possible to change the output terminal font size, I'm not really sure why it's not. I also don't like that there isn't an option to remove/hide files from the app only— if you hit "Remove" it permanently deletes the file off your phone, so keep backups...

Great app, takes a bit of setup. The first time I opened the app, I wasn’t able to open any of the samples, until I set the theme. It was set to Chrome as the default, so I changed it to GitHub, and then I was able to open the examples and create my own files. Then I changed it back to Chrome, and it worked fine.

Can’t edit at all (update: RESOLVED). I was able to create a new file and open it, and open a sample file as well. However there was no way to edit them at all, no matter where I clicked, there was no keyboard showing up, and it wouldn’t allow pasting either Update: deleting and reinstalling the app fixed the problem. Thanks to a very useful previous comment. I am updating my review from 1 star to 4 star.

This is a paid app.. You must pay to be able to use it at all, y’know how most apps are setup so that you can try them with reduced functionality, or for a certain period of time before you buy? This isn’t like that, when you download and open the app, it will instantly have a “buy this app” pop up, with no exit button. You can close it, change to a different app, etc but that purchase screen will ALWAYS be there or pop up as soon as you open it. If I remember correctly you also have to pay weekly. Just use Runestone.

No cloud support. The Python folder is stored by default in the Files app. However the location is on the iPad and it can’t be moved to the iCloud folder. That means that the files have to be manually moved from the iPad location to the iCloud location. And when you open the app on the iPhone it won’t have the files. There should be a way for us to specify where to store the python files.

Completely Ruined. This app used to be my go-to for working on Python Scripts portably on my iPhone. It worked quite well and was better then Pyto. Then, an update just labeled ‘bugfix’ appeared and after updating, the app required me to PAY for pro just to use it! Why‽ There is absolutely no reason just to ruin an app like that, and not tell anyone about it. For now, I’m uninstalling this app, and I would have stayed on an older version if I knew.

You’re trying to force us to buy it. Why I try to force us to buy it when we can use it for free on our phones. He won’t allow us to use it unless we purchase the premium subscription because the window will not go away for us to cancel it to continue using the free service, I don’t understand if this is even actually legitimately by python

Bad app. They market it as "free" to get downloads because they want people to install the app and when they are on the app they will see a stupid paywall that they can’t skip without paying causing the user to either leave and delete the app or pay and since other apps are pretty much useless and you can’t find another python editor people will most likely buy so I recommend you delete it and use web python instead of paying this greedy developer

Why list it as free in the AppStore if there is a paywall?. I should have read the reviews before downloading. Like many other reviews, I was not able to use the app because of a $3.99/week pay wall. There is no way to close the screen. You must pay for premium to use the app.

Sales Funnel. I had downloaded the app wanting to try it out, but you’re only given one session before it locks you out and forces you to upgrade to pro. It was less than 15 minutes of time in app. Seems it’s just a sales funnel to force you to upgrade, but it doesn’t seem like upgrading gets you anything more than just access to a very basic UI.

Python editor pro ads problem. This ads keep always show up on my screen ,every time i start this application and click in to certain file ,the premium ads show up,but the new ios 18 update zoom in the screen so i can't see the 'skip' button on the edge of the coner of screen.

This thing is useless. You can’t even get past a stupid paywall. It’s stuck on your screen until you close and reopen the app. Even if you do that. It still reappears. You can’t even click anything before it appears. What’s the point of making the app free when you can’t even use it without paying 4 bucks a week?

Bait and switch. The app is just taking up space in my device because it won’t let me proceed without subscribing to the pro version. Why? In the App Store there’s no indication that the app cannot be used for free at all, even in a limited capacity. I didn’t search for a paid app; I used the filter to only seek free apps. When an app is listed in the free category, it should be free, not just a “free download”. “Free download” just means “let us waste your time and phone storage”.

Not worth $3.99. When I first got this app it was wonderful. Easy to use and convenient however at some point the creators of this app got greedy and decided that they would make the app unusable without paying them. This app is completely useless unless you are willing to spend $3.99 for there “premium python”. I would say that this app is all in all not worth you money.

No way to test the app without paying. This is a subscription only app that will not run without payment first. This means that there is no “try before you buy” mechanism. Currently they want $4.00 a month to use the app. I don’t use my iPad enough to justify that at all especially when I’d only use it to look at things in meetings (laptop my primary development environment). That sort of puts it immediately on my blacklist. Sadly that also put it on my blacklist for company presentations as well.

Trash. You used to be able to just use the app for free. Now when you open it a screen pops up that cannot be closed asking to buy premium. Which is funny because then it isn’t even premium anymore because it’s the only option. $3.99/week for a this is also hilarious.

Shameless, worthless. This app is worse that a regular text editor. At least you can type in a text editor. Once you have a single file created, you can’t use the app in any capacity without paying for premium. Not even look at your file. This app is one of the most shameless grifts I’ve ever seen in the App Store, and that’s really saying something

Pay to use. I downloaded the app because it was free, however when I tried using it, it asked me to get a 3 day trial and pay. When I clicked cancel, it wouldn’t let me use the app and just said transaction failed. The only option is to get the subscription. I haven’t used it out of principle

Ok, some problems. Apart from files ending in .py, you cannot run your program. I’m a beginner and i wanted to try out some projects from a book but they use .txt, .css, etc. It’s a good app but i wish it would allow you to run if it was not .py . was pretty skibidi and ohio, but i rizzed it and it fanum taxed me. it has a good jawline but a horrible 🤫🧏, mew. it was gooning and edging all over me but i can't complain

Forced to pay or constantly reopen app. It looks free, then after you download it forces a their “pro” version of the app on you for 3.99 a week. No option to disable or remove the obvious money grab without paying or closing the app. Even if you close it, it’ll still find its way to pop back up and remove all functionality to the app until you pay. Trash. 0 stars

Didn’t even try it. Downloaded. Opened. Immediately hit with three day free trial and then 3.99 a week after. You can’t skip and try a basic version on the phone and I’m not going to remember to cancel in three days. So I just uninstalled. Running a free scripting language on my phone for 12 bucks a month ain’t worth it especially when my phone isn’t going to perform the way a laptop or desktop would. Pass.

Not free. The app makes you understand that it is free, and when you go to use it, this annoying window pop up and you can’t close unless you buy it (very annoying). The price is 4 dollars a week, yes a week. I think they do it per week to hide the price per month, what is the point of charging people weekly? Trash app !

Not Free. They are marketing the app as a free app with a Pro subscription that unlocks additional features. In reality they block you from using the app entirely after a couple of days of use unless you purchase Pro for $16/month. This also locks you out of the files you created so far. That’s a case of misleading marketing and a scam.

Way Too Over-Priced. I understand that developers should be paid for their work but weekly membership fees? You have to sign up to get a three day trial? Many better options out there. This is a terrible business model for gaining customers. How about build great apps, let people try them for free and then offer a one time price to purchase? There is no way this would ever be worth the price they are asking.

I would recommend this app. Whatever you want to become when you grow up into the coding industry, this is a good place to start. You learn easy coding in a syntax so the terms you are likely to already know, learning mathematics every step of the way. It also doesn’t feel like a large time waste, because you can always go somewhere with this computer language. Use and love Python.

Update for non premium users broke the app. I don’t know if this is just me but I would normally rate the app 5 stars but the new update made it to where when I open the app, the pop up that asks if you want to go premium does not have a “X” or a way to exit and use the app. I understand trying to push premium but the pop up before was a bit intrusive, now it’s just ridiculous.

You have to pay…. It will come up with a prompt to rate the app and pay a subscription before you can do anything. Let me experience the app before I commit to something like this. I’m no programmer, I just want to try it out. I don’t know how good or bad the app is but it’s not like I can figure that out to give a better review unless I pay…

Very nice, but quickly limited. Very cool and impressive app for making simple command and scripts. I wasn’t able to utilize “input()” as it always returned errors without much description. Modules like OS and Time don’t throw errors but didn’t offer the functionality they do on computer unfortunately. Still very cool for simple practice

NOT FREE trial is only 3 days wack. I just wanted to do some coding here and there since I’m not always with my laptop. The moment the app boots up it immediately wants you try for only 3 days and then begin paying for it. You’re better off just coding on a computer where it’s free and is overall the better option.

Greed. I downloaded this app when it was free. Now when i open it and try to run a script i get a paywall, with an artificially generated image of a sweet little bear hugging a big heart. This change was completely pointless and makes your app and developers look worse, especially since RUNNING the scripts used to be free. There’s also no exit to the paywall, so I’m just stuck with it on the screen until i decide I wanna give this application that COULD run for free my money… (I do not.) I will pay if I *need* python scripting, but I just wanna have fun and my chance of having any is ruined.

Can’t Use Without Accepting Free Trial. A huge pop up takes over the whole screen within seconds, forcing you to accept a free trial that signs you up for premium services automatically once the trial ends. You can’t minimize the pop up without accepting the trial. There’s no X button to close it out, and no way to swipe it away either. Deceptive.

The other reviews were right. Yeah, this needs to be advertised as the premium price since the pop-up asking for premium subscription doesn't disappear unless you sign up or restore a subscription. There's no obvious way to get past the screen either to see the rest of the app before deciding if the subscription is worth it. I already have a python editor on Windows. I'm not paying for it on iOS when there are other free options.

Won’t let me use it without subscription. Upon first use, this app asks for a review. Since I haven’t used it, I choose Not Now, and then it immediately opens a subscription prompt, asking me to subscribe to their 3 day trial for their Pro subscription that renews at $3.99/week. I haven’t even used the app as is, why would I subscribe?

This app is 100% useless. Honestly, I don’t even like a single thing of it because you have to pay in order to use anything in this app. Every option is paid in it. You have to add your credit card and pay them in order to use any type of service of it.

Can’t do anything. A few seconds after going on the app it asks me if I want to get the pro subscription but there is no exit button. And if I restart the app the same thing happens and I can’t do a single thing. I think this is a good app but I just can’t get past it.

Premium. You cannot use the app at all without buying premium. what's the point of making it free and then paywalling the whole app?

scam app - AVOID. purports to be a free app, when you try and use it you are faced with an immovable pout demanding $5.99 screen for a pro version you didn’t ask for.

The popping up subscription. The app is good, and it helps me a lot, but the popping up ad about the subscription is really annoying. Please make sure to make a way to close the ad if needed, since I can’t remove it from my screen. And basically, I have to restart the app to avoid it, which is really annoying. Fix it please.

Best beginner app. It’s free, got a great starting book built in. Did I say it was free.

Simply Amazing.. Spent a while looking for a good, simple but entirely usable python app. I wholly recommend this app over the other ones I’ve tried. The subscription, I would say, is worth it One thing that I think would be useful is additional buttons for navigation - there’s currently back and forwards but no up and down which I think would be VERY useful. Otherwise, absolutely perfect! Well done to the devs

Deceptive forced subscription. As of a new update this app now pops up with an offer for a free trial for 3 days, with a subscription of $5.99 per week. I.e. $25.95 per month. When I tapped the back button on my phone to close the app, it just processed the payment. I had to figure out how to cancel the subscription. It used to be free.

Recently updated. The recent update brought the ability to run on your device with delays using “sleep(2)” to properly run scripts. 5 stars, thanks for listening to us complain about stuff & actually improving it.

Not a free app. Waste of time if you are looking for a free app. It does not allow you to even look at it without subscription. Should say price at the beginning so people don’t waste time downloading.

Very useful. This is great for on the move time. It works, what more can you ask for. Honestly this is the only great free one that is genuinely useful. I’ve paid for others and this one I swear by. The fact this is free makes me use it. The fact that it’s good makes me recommend it. 2 combos not often found. That said there is limitations if your a really advanced programmer. But if your advanced this should compliment not replace your ide.

Currently broken. Every time you try to do anything, a prompt for their expensive $300/year subscription pops up which you can’t ignore unless you close the app. I’m sorry but that’s 3x more expensive than a Pycharm Pro license. It’s unfortunate that the app is unusable like this, since it seems like a cromulent editor otherwise.

Quick Question. The app is very good. It does what it’s intended for, a mobile compiler. What I have learned is that the free guide book has been blocked behind a paywall. Is there a reason for this? Just curious, since the free guide book is what stands out from this application from the other mobile compilers. Others also require for you to pay for lessons and such, by making the guide book unavailable for free, it is now similar to other portable programming tools. I would very much appreciate a response from anyone. Thank you.

HIGHLY UNRECOMMENDED. Whenever I open the app, this premium subscription thingy always pops up and there isn’t even any button to close it. Man, this app is a huge waste of storage. Highly unrecommended.

Please fix this. When I went into the app, it had a popup saying to but the pro version, but I can’t leave. And if I restart the app it just pops up again. The only way to do (like, 30s maybe?) is to restart my IPad. Please fix this.

Manipulates you to pay them. I’ve gotten fairly frustrated with this app that has been designed by developers who don’t know how to design software that is user friendly. The app allows you to download it for free, however once you have downloaded the app it will not allow you to use it until you purchase the premium version that costs $5 a week. This is not a good design because they should be up front about charging you before you even download the app and waste time trying to figure out how to escape the big bear that pops up on your screen to steal your money.

Can’t see what I’m typing. App looks great and seems to have all the functionality I’d want. However, when I start typing, the view “jumps” up and I can’t see what I’m typing anymore. Also the last line of a file will always be partially covered by the keyboard.

You can’t even code, as far as i’m concerned.. This app is a great idea on paper. A direct port of Python 3 to mobile. It seems great at first, but it doesn’t even tell you how to actually code. I’ll change my review if I can get some developer support on how to code using this app.

Python Editor pro screen ad. It’s shows me Python Editor pro screen - python learning, support… first time opening the app, doesn’t even ask if my level of proficiency, also I tried to dismiss it, it is not easily dismissed,

Pro promotion po-pup problem. Whenever i launch the app, there’s a pop-up for ‘’python editor pro‘’ promotion that cannot be dismissed. There is no ‘’x’’ button or swipe function to close back the pop-up then the app is locked in the pop-up forever. I have just installed it and i cannot use it. I’m not even rating this app because i could never see how it works. The pop-up problem is probably due to the display format of my iphone 8 and it better be fixed since the app is unusable for now.

You have to pay for a free language.. Pretty straightforward. You have to pay a monthly subscription for it. There used to be an X on the subscription pop up, but now that it’s removed you have to pay.

Bad app. Don’t waist your time it will force you to pay

5 stars. it’s a great coding app on mobile. feature requests: can you add problems and errors to define what is the issue. other request can you add a debug mode. last request could you add AI Integration like openai so the user puts their openai api key and can use the ai to help code and define problems and ask questions about those issues or code. thanks for the amazing app ❤️🌸

You have to pay to use. I’m just trying to be able to practice writing on the go but the app doesn’t work unless you pay a monthly fee.

Lack of modules. Please add basic modules and terminals, like pygame, tinkter etc Btw good and simple app.

Garbage ide. 1. Your code gets kidnapped in this app. They will let you code and everything then when you close the app and try opening again, it tells you to buy or your code would be lost. I couldn’t believe an open sourced IDE for python to cost money, and it’s also very expensive so it’s a scam 2. You cannot properly select lines, or even move your cursor 3. Running the program is weird, very different from python on pc

.. Was using the program and was liking it. The a screen pops up for the pro version which I don't need. It would not let me get past it without paying.

Paywall. As some pointed out, it used to be a good app but recently they started putting up a paywall that you can't get rid off. You have to start their 3 day free trial, and after it's 3.99 per WEEK. Cheap trick to get regular money from people who'll just forget. There are so many free alternatives LOL

Upgrade paywall. I launch the app and immediately get stuck on a subscription screen asking to purchase? How do I try the app? I might have upgraded, but need to interact with it first before deciding. Terrible product design.

Great free app- nvm. This is my first python app I’ve downloaded, but it works well! The fact that it is entirely free is epic and the app does everything I need it to… on iPhone. On iPad the purchase screen never goes away so you can’t actually use the app.

More like python SCAM app. I downloaded it at 5:25PM and opened it at 5:26PM after finding out kodex cant run python on its own so I try to use this “free” app and then as soon as I downloaf the file a popup apears and inescapable popup there is NO X button and so I close the app go to app store and leave this review This is the SECOND TIME a coding app has done this!

Requires subscription. App runs without subscription except there is a popup within about 30 seconds of opening the app. Can’t be exited and requires premium weekly subscription purchase to continue. Restarting the app doesn’t help.

What happened. I was using this app with no issues, now every time i open the app i am greeted with a full page pop up for the pro version. There is no way to exit the pop up. Is this app not free anymore?

Worthless. The instant I opened the app I try to load a file, and am immediately hit with “GET PRO!” And “rate this app!” With no way to actually access the app. Why would I purchase something that doesn’t function on my device? Give ME money to use it.

The app is NOT free. Don't waste your time trying to use this app. Once you enter it, a popup appears urging you to buy a subscription to use the app, and there's no option to close it. Don't know how the heck this app has four stars but I would get Runestone instead like another review suggested.

Latest update intentionally broke the app. This app was simple, well-designed, and working well for me, but the latest update paywalls every feature behind an unskippable popup unless you pay $4/week (over $200/yr for a barebones Python IDE!). Do not download until this is fixed.

Scam. As soon as you open the app, there’s a splash screen that tries to force you to buy its pro version for four dollars a week, which is outrageous and you can’t get rid of it because there’s no X button at the top of the screen like in previous updates

Modules. My modules aren’t being detected and I cannot retrieve python files from my apple’s desktop because it tells me that I do not own the file.

App is useless without paying. Forced subscription paywall literally a banner flashes when u open and u can’t close it without buying. I won’t pay for these bait and switch money traps, wish zero stars was possible.

Not as good as Pycharm. This implementation does not support GUI creation with the standard inter module. It is also buggy when using the copy/paste functionality. On top of all that, there is no interactive debugging available. Now they want you to pay $3.99/week to use their app that isn’t nearly as good as the gold standard, Pycharm!

AD SCREEN!. Like what? 3 seconds after entering an ad screen for python editor pro appears for a ridiculous subscription price and you can’t click out of it. Useless unless you’re rich.

👎🏽. The ad to pay for using the application is very annoying once it comes out you can no longer remove it you have to pay obligatory and if you make a free plan however you want they charge you scammers

scam app. This app appears to be free, you download it and it seems perfect without ads completely clean and when you are more excited it forces you to buy it and then it does not let you access your projects anymore

App denies use. Under a fresh install, the app immediately insists that I rate it. Refusing that, the app immediately demands I sign up for pro edition, paying monthly. There is no way to get rid of the upgrade screen and use the free version of the app.

I hear it’s pretty good but…. I hear it’s pretty good but they make you commit to purchasing before testing it. And… they ask for reviews before you can even get past the purchase option screen.

Absolute awful app not free at all. Either it’s poorly designed or heavily misleading, but once you enter the app there’ll be a pop up to get a membership for the pro version. There is no way to close pop up and exiting and reentering the app makes the popup open again. Heavily misleading and not free at all, how is this legal?

Very good.. This is free. FREE. And it has everything you need I mean c'mon. Respect this app for having those two things.

Reported to Apple. As soon as you open the app, you get a pop up to purchase the pro edition. You cannot exit out of this. There is no free version or way to inspect the features of the app without purchasing.

You have to buy the pro to use. Just like I said in the title, this is not a free app. It makes you buy the pro in order to utilize it. Not something that I would purchase when there are tons of free ones online.

SUBSCRIPTION ONLY MODEL. $4/month for a literally text editor that compiles python for you… scummy the apple allows them to market it as a free app when you have a subscription pay wall to do anything on it… if I could give 0 stars I would!

Works after bypassing paywall. After ignoring the popup asking for 3.99 I was able to create and run a python script.

Must pay to use. App lets you download thinking you can try for free and then see what the pay level gives but the app is completely unusable unless you subscribe to a weekly subscription. Pretty disappointed in this.

Always wants me to subscribe.. When I open Python Editor for the first time, a banner that says Python Editor Pro appears. The banner does not have a done button. because of this, I cannot continue using the free version

Paid app, misleading. This is a paid app. There is a popup when you open it that does not let you get past it without paying for the “pro” version. Bold to call it a “pro” version since it is the only version…

It’s actually paid! Disappointed. You can’t use it without purchasing their premium version! It felt really disappointing after I installed it. You can’t usually just open & use it for free!

Can’t even use. Python editor pro isn’t a real app. Immediately a popup appears to sign up for ‘Python Editor Pro’. This app doesn’t do anything. Also the pro version is $3.99 a week? Ridiculous

Cant go off the Puthon Editor Pro screen. Keeps telling me to buy python editor pro but there is no x button

Typing. I don’t like how you have to type and switch between keyboards. I wish you could just turn your phone sideways and it would be like a normal keyboard with arithmetic signs and symbols

money grab! no way to know without paying. Don’t like being forced to pay for something without knowing what I’m buying!! Why are you demanding payment up from without some trial period — and no, 7 days is a goofy ahh period

Best python editor. Perfect app would use daily as a way to calm down, relax, problem solve and many more.

Not free!. Not free at all, tries to force you to purchase pro at every point to the level that you can’t actually run or really edit anything. All these 5 star reviews must be from either before this was implemented or fake reviews.

Another subscription. Just another deceptive paid app on the App Store. If this app was $10 or $15, I’d be totally fine paying before I download, but to be greeted with a subscription page the minute I open my phone, unacceptable. I will download one of the free python compilers instead.

Unusable without premium. Not sure if it’s an error on the developer’s side but the app does not allow you to use any feature without premium. The premium popup cannot be closed.

Not professional advertising. They should exactly say upfront here is the cost for doing this and here is the cost for doing that. Not hiding it behind and advertise it as free in order for you to download it . Specifically mention what are free items. Poor design.

Mid Ish. I hate that it makes a pop up of python pro but you can indeed exit out of it it’s just a light small blue at the top left

Free installation is a ruse.. You can get the app for free, but you can’t use the app for free. The window advertising the membership cannot be closed. I got to put in print(“Test run”) and that’s it with this app. As a 13 year old, I can’t get the membership either.

Unusable. The app pops up an ad for their premium version, which I cannot close, and covers my entire screen. The app would not be usable at all if the app were able to put this ad up while I am creating a file.

Say no to weekly subscription. This whole trend of not being clear that your app is absolutely useless without a weekly subscription before you download needs to stop. Also stop scamming people with weekly subscription models.

Not actually a free app. I thought it was a free app with in app purchases but actually when I launch, I am immediately paywalled $4. If its a $4 app, that’s fine but tell me before I download. Dont know if this is a bug or if intentionally deriving. Can not use the app for any type of use for free

Zero functionality without paying. Doesn’t let you access the supposedly “free” functionality because it locks you to a pay screen.

Trash money hungry. I just opened the app for coding beacause I love coding and right when I opened it it showed me python editor pro I thought it would show me the x but it didn’t i think they should fix it and then I’ll download it

I hate it. This is garbage you have to pay and it pops up the pro subscription screen which you can’t close and can’t edit files either if there was a half star it still doesn’t deserve it

Payment pop up. Won’t let me use the app without paying for premium… I’m definitely deleting immediately and not using. Too bad because I was really looking forward to using it.

Incredibly Lame soft-lock. When using the app it has a pop up you can’r exit that says to try the pro version for 4$ A WEEK. The business model is hoping you forget. Complete slime ball of a creator, app isn’t anything a half decent programmer could make in a day. Do not try, waste of time
