TBR - Bookshelf Comments & Reviews 2026
Best bookshelf app. It’s so straightforward and makes a perfect visualization of the books I’ve read this year. My favorite bookshelf app (and I’ve tried tons). I upgraded to the paid version and so enjoy having such an easy, appealing way to look back at the books I read. All that being said, I am BEGGING for the half stars not to round up when sorting by rating on the bookshelf. A 2.5 star book should NOT move to the front of the 3s 😭 It messes up my bookshelf big time because it looks like I liked some books much more than I did and others much less, so then I have to start to rate them differently than I actually want to in order to get them to appear the order I actually want them to, and even then, I don’t like a 3.5 star book being BEHIND some of the 3s if I rate it a 3, but I can’t rate it 3.5 because then it will be in front of some of the 4s.
Great app but it doesn’t sync. This app is great for organizing the never ending list of books you want to read and books that you have read. It’s pretty easy to search for the books as well. The biggest problem that I have is that the app doesn’t sync with my iPhone and iPad. I have tried everything and nothing works. I tried to find a way to contact support but was unsuccessful. Also, there is no button to login for your account either which is really annoying too. Hopefully future updates will fix these problems.
Love but some “flaws”. I love TBR but I wish their was a way to get recommendations of books. That is the only “flaw”. Over all this is a great app for keeping tracks of books you want to read, are currently reading, or have already read with the book goal that you can change. I love op how it’s an interesting app that make you want to read an it’s cool animation during the christmas season makes you want to share the app with everyone. As a 12 year old I always get asked what books I like, want, or am reading. I can never remember so this book is great if someone wants to know my list or I am just in a Barns & Noble. 10/10 Would recommend. I also just wanna add how there are NO ADDS! it makes it so less annoying! And the app has no catfishing on what it is. You get what you are shown. Love it!
😭. I have been using this app for a little under year or so and have been collecting so much content and books and up until recently I was trying to open a couple of the tabs down at the bottom but it would completely close the app and I tried restarting it and everything. My last option to fix it would be to delete the app and then reinstall it hoping it would keep my progress, but alas, I was greeted with a completely blank account. I had bought the yearly pro and was able to recover that but all of my progress and ratings and reviews are completely gone and I am so devastated. I was googling for how to recover lost data and looking at other reviews and saw that there was a “syncing between devices “ but I cannot find in any of the system setting sections about any such thing. Please. I really REALLY would like to have my data back I love this app too much to be so heartbroken 💔 😔
Still love. I love this app because I borrow and return a lot of books with kindle unlimited and then often forget the names and potentially want to re-read one. I’m just wondering if the selection of books is going to expand. I like that I can add my own if they aren’t on there but I feel like I’m having to manually add a ton which isn’t ideal. I would like to see maybe a search bar in the read section. To not only look up books but the notes made on a book. If you are trying to find a book based off something you maybe wrote in the notes section of the review but don’t remember the name of the book itself. This would be crucial because you often remember a key part of a book and likely noted that but when you try to look up a book based on that on the internet it probably won’t show up. But you would be able to find it here.
Mostly love this app but…. I’ve had this app for several months now. I used it to track all my reading for 2022 and now this year. I love how the bookshelf helps me visualize my goal and keep track of what I’ve already accomplished. My only complaint is the color of the books on the shelf. Both in 2022 and 2023 the books are numbered in gray and as you read the title of the book replaces a number and the color of the book change, however I dislike how the color is still so close to a gray tone. It’s beige, or dull pink, or dull blue, or even sometimes stays gray. At first glance they blend with the numbered spaces so much I can’t enjoy the progress I’m making on my shelf. You can pay for new colors, and I would if it was a one time purchase to unlock colors, but paying a monthly fee to unlock colors is crazy. I just wish the basic color scheme was not in the gray family. I don’t need fancy, but I also don’t see the point in the shelf when the colors are so close.
App crash (resolved). Really liked the app until it wouldn’t let me open it. No big deal, I thought. So, I deleted the app and redownloaded it only to discover all of my data was gone. Thanks a lot. Thank you developer for reading my review and personally fixing the issue. I’m really really sorry for how rude I was when I originally wrote my review. I honestly don’t know what came over me that day, and I’m truly sorry. I haven’t been able to find a single app like this anywhere so I thank you. Thank you for making this app and God bless you.
Just started. I just downloaded it today because my fiancée found it on TikTok. Starting off with I love it. I have been using a paper book log but since I got this app that’s a thing of the past. I love how the books all get logged with the cover imaging and you have the option to sort your already read by date and by Rating love that. The one thing I do wish I could have is I know in the TBR section you can rearrange to show a bookshelf layout I wish the read could have that option as well. Overall though I love it. And plan to use this app as my main book log. I am so thank ful I downloaded it when I did.
Amazing!!!. This is probably one of my favorite apps! It has so many features and makes keeping up with books so much easier, as well as being adorable! LIKE HELLO? Christmas theme with the snow falling ?!😘🤌It’s customizable in so many different ways and you can annotate within the app and type out your favorite quotes(with page numbers👏)It would pain me to highlight or write in my books so this app REALLY helps me with that aspect. The only thing I would recommend to improve is a wider variety of books! I’ve went to search some before and they just don’t pop up no matter what I type in and it’s not fun to manually input all the books information.😅Overall though, it’s an AMAZINGGGG app and I would totally recommend this to anyone! Thank you for this amazing app😮💨🤍
Disappointed Longtime User. I’ve been using this app for three years and about a month ago lost all of my data (three years worth of books I read and recommendations I’ve received from others). I immediately reached out to the app’s support via email and had to follow up after time pass and I had received no response. I was then sent a generic response asking me to manually sync my app, which I had already tried. I immediately responded, asking them to look into it further, and have since followed up two other times with no response. I’m really disappointed, I really liked this app, and was looking forward to read all the books that I had tracked in my recommendations. I would caution you that your data may disappear one day and you will likely receive no support in getting it back.
Data Recovered, Still Room for Improvement. I want to thank the TBR Bookshelf team for finally responding after my third follow-up email. Once I attached my saved list, they were able to recover most of my data, including most of my TBR and read books—which I really appreciated. That was the most important thing to me. That said, the recovery process wasn’t without its issues. After reinstalling the app, many book covers from both my TBR and read lists were missing. Some covers uploaded fine, but others simply wouldn’t upload at all—the app didn’t crash, but it also didn’t accept the upload. In those cases, I had to delete and re-add the book manually, trying to remember the original rating and reading time. It’s a tedious process I’m still working through. Regarding personalization, I had saved up a good amount of diamonds, so having to re-purchase a theme I’d already unlocked wasn’t a huge deal personally. Still, I think users shouldn’t have to pay twice for features they already own. It’s a small thing, but worth mentioning. The app still experiences occasional crashes, though nothing severe. The developers clarified that only Goodreads CSV imports are supported right now, with full CSV support coming later. All in all, I’m relieved and grateful to have most of my TBR list back. I’m not moving on from the app—not yet. I’m staying with it and hopeful for improvements. Due to the current bugs and extra work required, I’m updating my rating to 3.5 stars and look forward to future updates.
Great app!. As the new years keep rolling in, I’ve realized I need somewhere to keep track of the books I want to read, and am currently reading. TBR - Bookshelf has all of that, and more! My personal favorite features are the reminders to read (I have mine set to friendly), annotations and quotes (❤️), the rating system (especially thoughts and tropes) and lastly, the amount of books they have on the app itself. I often find myself reading pretty obscure books, but TBR has all the books you could ever imagine reading, from dystopia (my fav), romantasy, romance, memoir, graphic novel, to fantasy, they have them all. So far in my time using this app, I have not found any bugs. The app is quite well managed and I just love it. Don’t keep wasting your time reading these reviews (even though they’re great ❤️) and go download TBR - Bookshelf for your reading needs!
HELPFUL REVIEW!!!!. lets talk about this app. first, there are a few minor bugs such as the advent calendar glitching and giving you everything just by closing out of a day or a book cover not loading properly, but other than that the app runs smoothly. Its very organized, and you can sort your tbr and read books in many different ways. you earn small rewards for reading (gems) which is nice but i wish the rewards were a bit better— turning reading into more of a game which would def motivate me to read more. i also wish all the genre tracking stuff wasnt pro :( anyway, i hope this helped! obviously theres some things i dislike about this app but its a very great and solid little book tracker!
I like it but needs some improvement. My favorite thing about this app is the reading challenge. I was previously using goodreads to track my yearly challenge but this is so much cuter and the rating system is a lot better. I love how it shows you your bookshelf and how many more you need. My main issue with this app right now is the database, I have had to manually input 90% of the books I read which can be really frustrating and time consuming because I have to find the title, author and a cover photo before it lets me submit it. I wish that books other people manually add would be added to the database for everyone, right now it is extremely limited. However you can add any books you need it just takes a long time. I also think a social aspect would be nice, having friends or seeing other reviews. Overall I am happy with this app and love supporting a smaller company. You can tell the creators are readers themselves. Just improving the database would make a huge difference!
4 Stars - Love the App, but Disappointed by Missing Books. I've been using this app for a while and absolutely love it for keeping track of all the books I've read and rated. It's been my go-to for discovering new reads and revisiting old favorites. However, I recently ran into a frustrating issue that has made me hesitate to use it as frequently. One day, out of the blue, a significant number of the books I had rated and saved to my shelf disappeared. I had around 160 books rated, and suddenly, that number dropped to just 69. It was disheartening to lose so much of my reading history, especially when I was trying to find a book I had already rated but couldn't remember the title. I still think this is a fantastic app with a lot of great features, but I hope the developers can address this issue. It's a bit discouraging to invest time into curating my library only to see it mysteriously shrink. I really want to keep using the app as I always have, but I’m hesitant until I can trust that my books will stay where I put them.
Fun for your reading goals. This is such a fun way to track your progress, see your past reads, and scratch that little part of your brain that’s looking for a reward at the end of a task completed. Seeing the books you’ve read on the spines of your little books is so aesthetically pleasing that it keeps you wanting to fill your shelf- even if you’ve met your yearly goal! Adding different themes throughout the year to change the colors and little accents on your shelf is the finishing touch on a sweet way to track your reading!
GREAT app!! a few suggestions…. Hi! I love this app so much… i am an avid reader and have just recently gotten into tracking my books. I love the way this app is presented… it is so colorful and cute! You can access pretty much all the features in the free version, which i really appreciate! it’s so visually pleasing and functional, great way to track! my only few critiques: lately on my phone i’ve been struggling to scroll up on the calendar when rating a book for when i started it. when i go to input the start date, i can only see some of the dates. usually days 9-30. so if i start a book at the beginning of the month, i cant put in those dates. possible bug? my only other suggestion would be to create a way to sign in!!! this way you can save your progress and have it go across multiple devices (for example phone and ipad). I have thought this for a while and just assumed it would come with future updates. also this way if you purchase premium you don’t have to buy it again if using on a separate device. All in all great app… THANK YOU DEVELOPERS!!
Disappointed. I use this app solely for the purpose of having a digital TBR. Now I have to pay to see my own TBR. I was fine with not having a super cute bookshelf or getting to have an extended review, but not being able to see my TBR of 357 books has me very disappointed. I liked this app for its simple but cute formate but honestly I’m going to begin using Goodreads like all the other book girls do. What makes this truly disappointing is I don’t have another copy of ALL the books I want to read and I know I’ll never recover it 😔. Truly am disappointed I have lost all my TBR books because I have to pay for something so simple that’s expected from a book app.
Perfect! Less focused on social sharing than others.. I love this app! It’s exactly what I was looking for. I can include just enough details from my reading to capture the experience of the book without getting bogged down in tedious stats i don’t care about. What separates this app from the others is the lack of social sharing of reading. Yes no social aspect! My reading is personal to me and I’m not interested sharing what I’m reading or what others are ( there are many other places on the internet for that). I love that this is essential a digital book journal just for me. I’ve seen many reviewers request a social feature. My ask is that if this feature comes to be, that there is an option to be “invisible” . I don’t want my contacts knowing I’m on the app and have to awkwardly turn down their requests to connect. A feature I would love to see is the ability to add unique book shelves for books already read ( different from tbr shelf). I’d love to create shelves such as “all time favorites” or “books I recommend” or “ books that helped me grow” whatever categories users want to create. I adore this app it, perfectly fits my needs and’s is visually appealing. I can’t wait to see how it evolves and grows! Thanks developers!
LOVE this app!!. This app is perfect for those who love to read on apps and physical books! I have had to mark some books as read that just to make sure I reached my goal on apps before but I can input the correct book on this app! I enjoy the TBR tab so I can keep track of my ebook and physical tbr. I love the way it breaks down the reviews, so it makes you really pinpoint favorites about the book. It does allow you to use DNF’s towards your goal, but I chose not to just because I usually know if I’m going to DNF pretty early on. The themes for the bookshelf are so cute and the plant choices for the bookshelf are even cuter! And if the book you need isn’t in the app, you can add it, along with the picture of the cover. If you chose to keep the default, that’s cute too because it chooses the main color of the book and you get a splash of color on your shelves. 10/10 would recommend!!!
Such a good idea-so many bugs. I want to love this app SO bad but the glitching and whatnot is driving me a little crazy. First thing that happened was when i first downloaded the app and tried to change the theme, it kept on undoing the theme i chose. Same with the plant. When i tried turning off the falling snow the snow was still there. I imported my books from goodreads which went very smoothly but once i went to my read shelf and tried to switch the view from bookshelf to book cover it kicked me out of the app. When i went back on the snow was off…lol. A common occurrence is trying out a feature and then the app either kicking me out of the app or just undoing the feature. No matter what i do i cannot change the view of my read books from bookshelf to book covers without being kicked out of the app and i cant change the color of the books on my tbr shelf without being kicked off the app. I thought i could push through but at this point i can barely use the app without whatever im doing being undone or being kicked out of the app. Im sure this can be fixed and once the app works I DEFINITELY will be using it, its just unfortunately unusable for me right now
Great App. I love this app! However, lately I’ve been having issues with manually adding books because the database is small for popular booktok books and them not saving to my read and bookshelf area. I’m hoping it’s a common bug that will be fixed in the next update! I would love to not have to manually input all the book information and then have to find a picture of the cover to upload before adding it to my read section! All in all great app to use because of the simplicity. I’m not a person who keeps track of the dates I start and finish books as I devour books in a day to day and half and have moved on to the next one.
Love This App. I spent so long looking for an app that was easy to work with and that could keep up with the books I read. With this app, it gives you so many opportunities, such as rating, the book, putting your favorite quotes the date you started and finish the book. You can customize the app to your liking. you can also set goals on how many books you want to read throughout the year it has TBR. And to my surprise, it has many newer books. Overall, this app is great. I hardly ever have any difficulties with it. It’s easy to use and it provides many opportunities.
I love this app!!!. I found this app a few months ago while looking for a place I could track the books I’ve read this year. This app is amazing! You can search through books, add books to your TBR list, bookmark the books your currently reading, and my track the books you’ve already read, plus you can set a reading goal. The TBR tab is really helpful because you can add books to the list easily, without having to have have the physical book. It makes it super easy to figure out books I want to buy! One thing I absolutely love about this app is the ‘goal’ tab, where you can set a reading goal for the year. It also includes a digital book shelf that shows all the book titles on a bookshelf (it’s super cute). I love the way you can write a review for each book. You can choose the overall rating, and there are sub categories in which you can rate the book (ex. horror, romance, fantasy, mystery, young adult, etc). Personally, I read romance a lot, and some of the rating categories are: spice, fluff, tear, and humor. Some of the rating questions they ask are: ‘would you read this book again?’, ‘favorite character’ and ‘favorite quotes.’ However, there are quite a few things that are reserved for pro-users only. Some of the pro features include: inputting the page number your on, adding annotations, and a few things in the rating section (ex. season, adaptations, hype rating, POV, trope tracker and the book playlist). But, I do understand that the developers have to make money somehow. Overall, TBR - Bookshelf makes it really easy for me to track the books I’ve read, rate books, set goals, and add books to my TBR. The developers of this app are amazing! Thank you so much!!! <3
4 1/2 Stars! I loooooove this app!. I had the free version of this app for a couple of days and immediately subscribed for the extra paid features because I am loving the app! There are SO many options for adding information about the books you’re reading — way more than other apps I’ve used. The only thing I’d love to see be updated is when adding newly read books to your reading goal shelf for this year, the books going to the bottom / end of the shelf (I hope that makes sense). I input all of my read books from the start of the year to now but had to do it backwards (Oct—>Jan) so that the books I read first this year were at the top, but NOW when I add a new book it goes right in front of what should be #1 on my shelf… which makes it seem like I read it early this year instead of being #55 like it should be… ya know?? (I really hope this makes sense) lol!! Another feature I’d love is an option to mark off what version(s) of the book you own because sometimes I have a kindle AND physical copy, or audio AND physical copy… because yes, I have issues lol Anyway. This is just me looking for things that could be improved because other than those things, I am so pleased with this app!! 🤗📚
New and disappointing updates. I downloaded this app a few months ago and loved the ability to track books I wanted to read in the future plus books I’ve read and am currently reading. I also loved being able to customize my bookshelf theme and add plants. After the new update unfortunately, I am no longer able to see my TBR list or add anything else to it on the free version which is extremely frustrating since I don’t remember the books I had added. It’s also confusing since the very name of the app is TBR Bookshelf but you can’t access the TBR list unless you have the paid version. Not only that, but the theme I had reverted back to the original theme and all of my plants were removed because you have to now have or buy gems for such features. It’s so disappointing that the features of the app that I loved, the very reason I used this app over others, are now features that you can only have with the paid version.
Greatest tracking app available!. I’ve been using TBR for almost 3 years now, and I LOVE it. The bookshelf is the freaking cutest thing ever. I am not a physical book collector but having my digital bookshelf that I can decorate to my hearts content makes said heart incredibly happy! It being free is icing on the freaking cake. The app itself is so easy to use, I only recently started to explore all the features and tracking capabilities. I use to just rate stars, spice etc but I’ve tried to make myself take use of all the other things available. The only thing that’d make it better would be a widget I could have of my bookshelf on my main screen. Lol. Not that I have a single clue if that’s possible but I’d love that feature! All in all, do not hesitate. Download this app!!! Thank you to the developers for creating such a good book tracking app!
Unable to import data. I’ve been using this app for over a year now and have loved it. The issue is that I moved to a new phone and my data didn’t transfer. I have all of my data for the past few years including hundreds of books on my TBR that I’d like to access. I made sure to backup all my data as a CSV like the app tells you, then followed the exact instructions to import the info back into the app but each time it crashes. There isn’t a way for me to report anything except to re-download Mail and I tried reaching out over social media but haven’t heard back yet. Please fix this bug, I’d love to get my data back and give a good rating back. Also maybe make it easier to reach out about issues not just the mail app? I’ve loved using this app and it’s such a bummer it’s not working properly.
Best Reading Tracker!. I have been using this app for 3 years and I love it. I have the Pro version which allows me to customize my bookshelf to any color I want plus I can add plants to it. It is so cute! I love the celebratory confetti when I finish a book. But my favorite part is keeping track of my page number in my currently reading. As a mom of multiple children this is invaluable to me. My books get knocked off of tables or bookmarks pulled out all the time. But with this app I don’t lose my place! I also love that this app was created by a woman and is woman owned.
Just what I have been looking for!. I have a goal for reading, and I had been keeping it in my notes app until I saw this app! I wish there were most customization options without getting pro, and there are multiple of the same books to add, and I don’t know which one to add(it doesn’t matter too much, but still). The rating stuff I LOVE, but again, I wish I could rate more without getting pro. I also wish there was a way I could select more than one genre for rating. Searching is also a bit of a struggle, but Overall, amazing app. Also, I would love to be able to add whole series at one time, and know what order to read them in!
Favorite Book Review App!!. I’ve been using TBR for over a year now and I absolutely love it! I have a few suggestions tho. I would really like a way to log in or save my data. I would be seriously upset if my phone broke and I lost all my notes and reviews and what not. Another thing I keep accidentally doing is when I look at my reading goal I keep trying to click on the titles to open up the reviews and thats not how it works. Maybe that could be a feature in the future?? I really like how each book has its own color when you log it. When I’m looking at my read section I wish there was a way to organize it. Right now its every single book I’ve ever logged and if I wanted to find a book review for a book I read say in May of 2021 I would have to scroll all the way down. I would like if there was a way to sort by year or month. Over all though I am the biggest fan of this app. Especially with how much content you can access with just the free version. I am looking forward to buying the premium version and updating all my reviews! I feel like the app is simple enough that adding a review doesn’t feel like a chore (like on other tracking apps). Though it would be cool if there was a way to share your reviews with friends/be able to view other peoples reviews.
Love!. I’ve already left my raving review and now I have some constructive criticism for the developers! #1 For a series I’d love for there to be an options for putting the whole series in your TBR and/or read list with one button and to somehow keep them in order when looking at them so it’s prettier and more organized! #2 I would love a way to see other peoples reviews on books! #3 I would love some sort of sign in option so I don’t have to worry about losing anything if my phone breaks. #4 I love to genre option but most of what I read is fantasy/romance and thriller/romance. When reviewing I’m only given an option to choose one genre and I would love it if I could pick multiple! And lastly I’d like to say that for the app being so new it’s still a hit! And I understand all of what I’ve said above is probably being worked on for future updates! I’ll just be here patiently waiting :)! Great work!!
My favorite book app to date!. I have downloaded many book tracking apps and have struggled to find one that tracks by year. I absolutely LOVE being able to add a book to the bookshelf every time I finish it, especially because 95% of my books are audiobooks or ebooks. You can easily add to your TBR, keep track of what you’re currently reading, and see your finished shelf. This review has been updated to reflect that the feature I was looking was already there. Thank you to the developer for guiding me through how to do it! Could not love this app more!
Love this app but crazy glitches. I really like the format and stuff with this app and the look and stuff. However, I get so many glitches and idk if it’s my phone and the app not working well together or what but I’ll click on a book while I’m in my TBR, so it should already be listed as in my TBR and it still has the “Add to TBR” unselected so I have to add it a second time to then add it to my other TBR lists I’ve created. I clicked on one of the books from my T R a few different times and each time it brought up the book next to it or once brought up an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT BOOK that isn’t in ANY of my lists. Again, real cute app and I love the concept, design, and especially the rating system too, but I wanna throw my phone across the room sometimes trying to use it!!
Crashing on open. This app was great for the first week, but now it crashes on open every time I try to open it. I spent a lot of time entering the books I’ve read over the past few years along with my wish list and recommended reads. I just updated my first “In progress” read to complete and now the app crashes every time I open it. I attempted to report an issue, but that is not an option with the free version. I am thankful I had this issue now because I was considering making the one time lifetime purchase after being so pleased with the app. I would have been very upset if I started having this issue after making the purchase. Onto the next app. Update: the developer responded that a bug report can be made in the app as a free user, but that doesn’t work if you can’t open the app because it crashes on open. I did try deleting and reinstalling the app and lost all my data.
Subscriptions. The base of the app is good and the searching feature is to. My only complaint is that you have to pay for it to work as advertised. You can’t do annotations or quotes. The TBR shelf is the only one actually organized with the books on a shelf, but you have to pay for them to colorized and labeled, and if you don’t the are literally just grey squares with numbers. All the themes and stuff cost gems which are incredibly hard to get unless you purchase them. The tabbing systems, reading calculations, current page tracker, and no adds you also have to pay for. You also can’t change your reading goal amount and it’s set to 25. The core base of the app is good to track but when you try to use it as the description says you just can’t.
My TBR list is growing!. I love the idea of this app. I am getting back into reading and needed a way to keep track. I like that the app simple enough. I personally do not think the in app purchases or the subscription bring too much to the app as it’s mostly aesthetics. Which yes are fun but since it’s already a simple feel these purchases are simple as well (like adding plants or other decorations). Using the free version is great and I really enjoy it. I personally chose this app because it’s a women owned and I want to support! I would like to see what others have suggested that it shows recommendations off of your picks. Also maybe a different tab for owned TBR and wanting to purchase TBR? I don’t own a lot of books yet but my list is growing so it might help with keeping track of what is already at home.
Love it but needs improvement. I was so happy when i found this app. I think its so cute and the lay out is very well done. I was bummed when i started having issues with it randomly crashing/shutting down. It also just happens at complete random, i could be doing a rating, marking a book as read or simply typing in the search bar. This happens so often it basically makes the app unusable. I know is a fairly new app so i have high hopes that this will be fixed eventually and when it does i will go back and start using it again but for now its not worth the effort when it continues to crash so often and randomly. A few suggestions for future versions/updates. 1. Giving us the option to create a log in would be nice, I think there is a way to link it to icloud but i would prefer a log in. 2. Multiple genre selection! 90% of books put there are a combination of different genres, for example romantasy (romance & fantasy) so having the option to select multiple genres would be an awesome feature. 3. I love that the option of format is there but can we add the option for paperback, hardcover and special edition as well. Bonus also a TW (Trigger Warning) button. 4. Font options for the bookshelf books. I know this a fairly new app and i have really high hopes for it, there is a lot of potential, just needs some work but i will patiently wait and when its all sorted i will definitely continue to use it.
App Crashing. I absolutely love this app! I enjoy the thrill of adding book to my tbr and as well as the ability to see the books I've read in the past. Rating the book I've read is one of my favorite things to do. I've been using this app for a while and recently when I go into the app a couple seconds later it will kick me out. I've updated everything, including the app, and my storage is fine. None of my other apps kick me out while using it and I'm not able to use the app because it keeps crashing every time I try to! Please fix this glitch! Otherwise your app would be perfect🫶🏽
Good app. i first saw this app on instagram and i was like, “I need to get this!” i’m a little disappointed by how much you have to pay for some features, but you can still do it without paying. anyways, i used to love reading so much when i was in elementary school, but i got into a year old reading slump. this really helped me get out of it. it’s a great way to track your progress and how many books you read. i thought of myself as a fast reader, but i’m shocked to see that i’ve read 29 books so far this year (it’s only May)! the only suggestion i have is that i wish they have much questions on the rating. like instead of favorite character, it could be least favorite character too, or maybe favorite scene also. i know there’s the quote one, but most times i don’t have specific quotes i love so i just describe the scene there. anyways, another cool feature to add would be a way to mark if you own the books on your TBR. for example, on my TBR i have books that i want to get and books that i own but haven’t read yet. i just think it would be easier this way, especially during holidays when people ask what to get you. this app makes it easy because you can just pull up your TBR! but then i’m looking at the books and i’m like “wait do i have this one” anyways, this app is pretty good.👍🏻
I want to love it…. I want to love this app so much cause it makes keeping up with the books you’ve read and what’s on your tbr list so much easier but my goodness the struggle in trying to find the books you’re looking for from the apps search engine is AWFUL 9/10 times I just have to add the book because I can’t get it to pull up regardless if I do the title or author or both it just will not pull up. Other times I’ll put the exact title in and it’ll be 8 books down when the first 7 were nowhere close to what I typed in the search bar. It’s seriously such a headache and would be credit if some coding or bug fixes could fix this issue!!
Love the app but could use some updates. I like the idea app and find it somewhat user friendly for the most part but my app will not sync across my 3 devices even after reporting bug I didn’t get much help other than basic troubleshooting and a its not us its apple, and after contacting apple I still have no resolution to the issue. Also you can add shelves but once created they make impossible to find/access, you cannot easily move from TBR to current, instead you have to re add then delete from TBR shelf, you can’t move from currently reading to a Day d not finish area or keep track of progress, it’s a cute app but has a long way to go before it’s really a good functional app, ill keep my eye on it and see where it goes. I also would like to see a way to save all your information when your phone breaks or you have to un and reinstall app so you don’t lose everything.
Only worth it if you pay for pro. I downloaded this app to check it out and see the features and see what I could do with it and see if it might be a good alternative to keep track of my TBR. I’ve had it for about two months now and a month ago I sent in a bug report that I could not upload my Goodreads export so that way I could have all those books imported and not have to manually do it because I read 100 to 200 books a year. There’s no way I’m gonna go and spend time to manually at all of them. To this day, I’ve only gotten one response stating that they were thankful I reported the bug to them and that someone will get back to you soon. I haven’t heard a single word since. (It’s been 3 weeks) One of their pro features says that when you pay for pro you get first priority when it comes to support requests. Well, they certainly mean it because I did not want to pay for pro because I wanted to figure out the features of the application would be worth it. And I have not heard anything about the problem I have reported and waited to hear from. I am deleting the app because I do not have space on my phone to have an app that sits there and does nothing. This app has great potential and I hope that it does help some people, but it is not the app for me, especially if their customer service is not going to contact me back.
I’ve always loved it, until the update lost all my data.. I just updated the app yesterday and after having this app for I don’t know how long and loving it more than any of the others I’ve tried, I’m now upset. I had so many titles on my TBR, to keep track of books I wanted and books I have in my collection I haven’t read yet. I went on today to add another book, to find that the app now wants me to sign in. I tried signing in and creating an account but the app was froze up and just kept reloading. I closed it and reopened it to find it now wouldn’t stay open and would just crash. The only thing I could do was delete it and redownload it. Now that I have, I’ve been able to create an account but everything I’ve had is gone. I still had my currently reading list, but after signing out and back in to see if that would get everything else back, I now have nothing. I have to completely recreate everything. All my books, reviews, and all my data is now gone and now I’m debating trying a new app since I have to start over anyway.
Good start but needs updates to be usable. I love the concept of this app and would love to use it, but there are features missing that make it so I won’t continue using it. For one, if a book isn’t in their database you cannot add it in yourself (a feature that apps like StoryGraph allow). So some books I’ve read I cannot track on this app. When you go to add a rating it will make you select a category (e.g., romance, self-help, classics) but there are only 6 categories. You cannot add a rating if you don’t select a category but many books will not fit into the available category options (e.g., memoirs, poetry, mysteries). I only used the app briefly but these were the issues I ran into while trying to add all the books I’ve read this year. I’m hoping to come back to it in the future and maybe it’ll be more user friendly then :)
Great with one problem. I love using this app. I have the free version and have come across one problem. After an update, I can not seem to update my bookshelf at all. If I am trying to take a book from my reading folder to my finished one the whole app crashes and I am unable to mess with anything. I've tried refreshing the app, restarting my phone, checking for additional updates, all but deleting the app and reinstalling it. I would loose everything if so because this app doesn't have an account aspect. If this is fixed I absolutely love this app for keeping track
Just found!. I just found this app & I love it! I have so many ebooks that I want to read but I “forget” about them bc they aren’t physical books sitting on a shelf. They are epubs sitting in a mini computer… This gives a cover and a place for me to list & see the epubs I have to read. My only complaint is when I pull up the calendar to list when I read a book, all I see is the current month’s calendar. I can’t see the months or the years. So if I have a book that I read awhile ago that I want to list, I have to blindly find the month. I can see the very very bottom of the writing of the months but I can’t see what they say so… it makes it very difficult.
Nothing worked. I was really excited to use this app after I saw someone showing all the features on TikTok. However, nothing worked correctly when I downloaded it. First, since I am such a huge reader I decided to purchase the Pro version. Once I made that purchase and the funds were already out of my bank account I did not have any access to the Pro features but was instead given the option to subscribe to the Pro again. That is a major problem by itself but the app was just full of issues. The snow would not stop even though I changed the setting but what was worse was that I could not add a book to my TBR list or current reading list. Every time I tried to search a book the app would automatically close out after I typed one letter. I tried redownloading the app, restarting my phone. Nothing worked. Don’t be tricked into purchasing or downloading this app.
Such a lovely app. I haven’t been using this app often but it such a great app! Whenever I want to find a new book to read but want to look at some ratings of it before buying it, I immediately click into this app and search it to see what the ratings for it are and it is such a helpful tool. I love getting to put all the books I want to read into a shelf and I love that you can make different shelves for whatever you’d like(genre, series, etc.). Overall, this app is the actual cutest and best thing I've gotten recently. The pro version is honestly such a good investment as well and I haven’t even finished the free trial part. Definitely recommend this to anyone that wants or needs to organize their books digitally.
Bugs and inconveniences. I usually love this app but I’m getting beyond frustrated with it. The little thing being the pop up every time I open the app telling me to turn on notifications. I don’t want or need to do stop telling me to. The big thing is that twice now the app has completely cleared itself of everything I put in it. My TBR, my bookshelf, currently reading, EVERYTHING gone. The first time was apparently because I offloaded it for storage and had no way of knowing that that would clear everything. The second time was for absolutely no reason. I didn’t offload it or do anything to the app other than add a book to my goal a few days before. This is extremely frustrating since it’s hard to remember everything I’ve read or wanted to read and add it back into the app. Shopping for a new bookshelf app.

Like it so far. I just found this app and am liking it so far. Tried to change colours on book spines and keeps closing app. It would also be nice to have the authors names on the spines. I will also be adding previous years to it.
Glitchy - all data lost. I was loving this app until all of my data got deleted today. I put hours of work into inputting all of my books, rating, reviewing and tracking everything, just for it to be wiped one day. And before you go and comment that I should save the data to the iCloud so it doesn’t happen again (which is what you have commented under all of the similar reviews to mine), this has not been an issue with any other tracking-type app I have. Fix the glitch.
OML LOVEEEE. absolutely love this app! it’s so cute and practical! only thing i would change i being able to sync across devices! love, love, love! would highly recommend!
TBR bookshelf review. The app is overall a really good idea. Even without the subscription it’s great. But the annoying thing is that every time you open the app the add pops up making it harder to go between this and other apps. But it’s really great.
Account across different devices suggestion. Would love if the app was able to have an account that can be accessed across different devices to help keep track of the books that are been read. And so it can be save on an account and not get lost if the app gets deleted off a phone or a other device
Good app. I only got it today and I haven’t really been on it but it’s a pretty good app it’s good for people who like reading
Quite Good. I’ve been looking for an app to track my reading which has the bookshelf visual and this app satisfies that.
Aesthetic Design. LOVE the little virtual bookshelf in the read books and I know there are more colour in the paid version of the app but even one other free colour pallet option would be awesome (pretty please). ALSO in the TBR section maybe more of a display as well? Like stacking books horizontally maybe? Bc honestly I open the app just to look at the little book shelf and more options would be wicked 💜
I feel so organised. This is such a great way to keep track of all the books I have read as well as the books TBR. I am obsessed with reading at the moment and I am inspired by a lot of TikTokers so I have a huge list of TBRs, but I have already read 12 books this month alone. I’m so happy I found this app!
Customer Service. Beyond annoyed that I have now lost years worth of records twice with no help from anyone at this app. Nobody has ever replied to me to try and help me out. Customer service is terrible and nothing that I have saved seems to be connected to the account I pay for. Incredibly annoyed. I tried resyncing and that didn’t work. I would expect if my emails were read by the team you would know that.
such a good app!. amazing app, love the layout and how easy it is to navigate and use ! Can’t wait to use it more and grow my bookshelf
Meh. Maybe about 8 out of 10 books just can’t be found on this app, they aren’t obscure books either they’re quite popular books so you’d assume they’d definitely be on the app but nope. It’s just overall kind of a let down, I don’t like the feel or look of the app just feels like very little thought or time was put into its development.
Lost all my data. I love this app but it has deleted everything apart from my yearly goal all my tbr’s are gone and all the books I’ve read are gone!!!
Issues with the app. I used this app all of last year and absolutely loved it but there are always app issues. The last one was crashing as soon as I opened the app. I tried to contact app support but it took me to a weird website that I didn’t trust. I tried deleting and re-downloading and it still didn’t work. This issue happened for days so I gave up and crossed over to Goodreads. Now that the app is back up and running I have lost all of my reading progress from the last year so there is no point in going back. Suggestions to improve the app would include making it so that you have an account that you can log into so you can save progress for the next inevitable app crash. I’m really disappointed because I did love the layout of the bookshelf but it’s just not worth the constant app bugs anymore :(
bug. there’s like a bug in the app i finished reading the book scarred and was about to update it when i clicked on it and it kicked me out the app. this has happened before but usually it works. i turned off my ipad but it still didn’t work. i still had the christmas update as well. now that i have uninstalled it and reinstalled it is it going to keep my progress or reset it? i just want to get into the app can a developer please check the app for bugs 😭
Need some improvement. I love this app and how you can save the books you’ve read for the year but I really want some updates. The updates that I want are: you can delete some books you’ve read that year and easily change your reading goal even if you haven’t reached it yet. Cause it’s been really bugging me that I can’t reset it. But overall a fabulous, stunning app to use! Would totally recommend it to friends.
Love this app!. Love the app and love being able to visually see the spine line up. Only suggestion is that we can make accounts so our books are saved- my phone broke and I lost every book I’ve read over the years and it’s a frustrating process to put it all in back haha. Otherwise this is my absolute favourite book app I love love love using it!!
A few suggestions. I haven’t tried it too much yet, but loving what I’ve tried so far but do have a couple of suggestions for things I’ve run across! 1. I just wish there was a way to add things into a series — like if I’ve read 1, 2 & 3 in a series, I’d like to be able to say which one is 1, 2 or 3 and to be able to say which series they’re from as I own so many! 2. If also love a subcategory within the “Other” category so I can add a note as to whether it’s manga or sci-fi etc 3. If like you be able to scan or type in the book’s barcode so the app can figure out what cover/edition I have and to narrow down the amount of books popping up in the search function
Amazing. I love this app! It lets me keep track of the books I’ve read and what I want to read for free! This is really helpful and it saves me writing it down on a hundred pieces of paper!
Halo. The first one was a little bit more complicated than that one was it just had
A suggestion. I really like this app but I think if they added accounts it would be better so you can put your data onto another device
Love. So cute, but the barcode scanner never works for me so it's a bit hard to find particular books.
New Favourite Book Tracking App. Its easy to navigate, the cutest designs, I like that you can accumulate gems for themes. Its updated and fresh.
Cool. Good app and unique in the rating styles which i like. The reason i’ve rated 3 stars is due to the no options of minimising the display of books in your library or tbd. It looks really bulky having the 4 book images take up the screen at one time and is putting me off the app
Good app. Wish slightly more was free but other than that it’s a really good app that still works without having to pay
Amazing app. This is absolutely my favourite book keeping app. Would highly recommend to everyone. It is so simple to use and has everything you would wish for. The app is constantly upgrading with new features. Despite having to pay for pro, many of the features u can earn gems for - more motivation. Have had the app since 2023 and have never had a bad experience.
Pretty good. Would be great if other rating options were available no matter what genre the book is. Eg being able to add a horror or unhinged rating to romance books or having dark romance as a genre
I LOVE IT. This App is so helpful for my reading goals and keeping track of my tbr and what i’ve read this year.
Amazing but I’m confused. It’s an amazing app so far, I haven’t had any problems. I’m just a bit confused with some of the ratings, especially the predictability rating. If the book is, for example, a young adult, mystery, thriller type of book and it wasn’t predictable (which is a good thing) am I supposed to give it a high predictability rating or a low one? I tried to search it up but I couldn’t find an answer. So just a suggestion but maybe you could add some examples and/or definitions for what the ratings are for and how they work.
Looks good could be better. I love all the features especially the reviewing what you read and the aesthetically pleasing tracking of the books I have read. However, the app keeps shutting down, usually when I try to search for a book and usually the search page is empty and I can’t even search. This is mainly the reason why I haven’t paid for the pro as I am afraid it will still happen. Even when I can search for books there tends to be multiple options for the same book or none at all and I have to add them manually. While I don’t mind these things I would like to see reviews by other people before I choose a book and I have to click multiple to find them.
Didn’t really like it. I downloaded this app off of a tiktok and thought it would be great to help organise my reading, however I was deeply disappointed to see how it didn’t do much. Most things costed money and I couldn’t find a lot of the books I was reading/wanted to read. It was difficult to use and it didn’t provide any extra features to be more appealing. Although I didn’t like it maybe you will I do encourage you to try it
Book tracker!. This app is great but sometimes when looking for book names it takes a while to load but I love the fact it has a tbr section and a read with the book reviews being really good and helpful
Love it, though some good and bad things. So honestly for my I love TBR bookshelf so so soo much as it’s honestly amazing and it’s a really good was to track everything especially because of the new update where you can finally save your bookshelf with an account so you will never lose it!
All my data gone. No response from dev team. I lost the lists of over 500 books, reviews and ratings from this app suddenly. All my read books and tbr over 2023 and 2024. No response from the team via the in app contact/report bug email, or person on social media who was still posting Instagram stories but ignoring comments. App is glitchy and buggy at the best of times. They are pushing for paid subscription now too. Do not recommend. In response to the developer reply: The app IS backed up on iCloud! There is no easily visible way to back it up/ restore it via the app itself and I cannot find another way. But good job blaming the consumer instead of accepting that your app is sub par. Still haven't replied to my email/bug report.
Yes. The only reason why we have to go back is to see the other person and then I can get you to go back to work
Great App. I love that I can have a virtual bookshelf as I read only on my Kindle. It’s easy to find books and if the particular book isn’t in there, you can easily add it yourself.
in love!. i’m only 13 and it keeps track of ALLL my books and helps me reach my reading goals. perfect for all ages especially teens!!! thank u girls for making such an amazing app 💕🪽🥹
Keeps Crashing. I love this app for being able to keep track of all the physical books I have but it crashes pretty frequently.
Great app. I love this app! Have been using it for a couple of years now. It’s simple to use and it’s very cute
Issues when I use the app. Every time I open the app it just kicks me out after not even 5 seconds so I’m not able to use it, this has been happening for almost 2 months now. I really like this app and I hope I get to use it again.
Gives me an incentive to read. This app is really aesthetic and makes it fun to read. Helps me reach my reading goals!
Potential. Trying out different book apps and this seemed really great, until the constant crashing. App would close randomly when changing between sections and couldn’t even access some because of the issue. Will try again in a couple months and see if it’s been fixed.
Lost everything. I use to love this app but now had to change my rating. I haven’t been active on the app for a few months but came back to update my reading logs for all the books I had finished, only to find everything gone. All my books and reviews for the last 2 yrs gone. Not happy at all.
Works most of the time. Update- they are working on fixing the bugs and told me how to fix the blank spots in my bookshelf. Happy with the response🙏🏻 It works most of the time. However, after adding around 30 books to my yearly goal, there have been a few bugs. App closures after clicking on book titles, and a lack of book covers for some books which means they show up as a blank spot in my Goal section. Also, there’s no help section in the app which makes it extremely difficult to remedy these issues.
Such a good free app. Honest to god it’s so nice to have at the end of finishing a book. With its little review of the book and then the bookshelf with all your completed books gives me a boost of Serotonin.
Absolutely love this app. This is one of the best apps ever. Putting in books manually is amazing for when I can’t find one, and saving and rating them all makes me feel so accomplished ! My only problem, which isn’t even really a problem, is I wish there was a social aspect. I want to send book recs to my friends and see what they are reading and what they rate books! Being able to interact with book lovers would be a great social aspect that I think everyone would benefit from!! But other than that, amazing app ❤️
Great app. Great app could be fine tuned to make ratings more detailed without having to pay but other than that really great
Easy to navigate. I love this app, helps me keep track of all my books, the pro version has heaps of cool features and is relatively cheap
Keeps crashing. I love the app and have been using it for a while but lately, even with the new update it keeps crashing when I open it. Please look into this and fix it 🙏 its my favourite reading tracker app
Book tracker. This app has helped me keep track of my reading and really strive to reach my goal. Not only has this app helped me read more but it is really good for organisation plus you can keep track of the books you want to read

Book shelf. This app is so easy to work and I love it to keep track of the books I have read
Keeps crashing. Just downloaded and keeps crashing, currently unusable
All gone. I saw this app somewhere on TikTok back in time and found it really cool. I used it for two years and it worked reaaally well. All the features on this app were cute and easy to use. But since the app made the last update, there were a lot of bugs. At the end of the day, I can’t even open the app without a crash. Also, even if I do have an account, all of my past reading and recap were deleted. Not angry but very disappointed and sad to say that I will abandon this app forever 🩷
Subscription. I really thought I found a good tracker app but everything basically costs money and it doesn’t even really let me do anything so… Gotta track my books on good old paper 😭
All good features require premium account. I was really excited for this app when I saw the previews but when I downloaded it I was disappointed. Without a subscription, most of the features that differentiate it from goodreads aren’t available unless you pay for the subscription 😐. You’re unable to see the tropes of the book and the spice level
Good app overall. This app is pretty good at showing your goals and your progress. Good for readers. Lots of money only type of things.
Best book app. This app is amazing, it keeps all of my past books and I can easily go back and reread some old forgotten books.
Great but glitchy. It’s great even with the free version. But it’s very glitchy. Currently unable to open it as it closes itself within 2 seconds. It’s the only record of books I’ve read so it sucks if I’m going to lose that info.
Amazing. Love it
Really great but has glitches. I love this app, it’s pretty, it’s organized, overall perfect but it does quite often have glitches. Worth the free download overall.
Books deleted. I spent an hour getting all my books into this app… next day I go to open the app and they’re all gone 😭
Avis. Super bonne app
Progress lost. My books keep getting deleted. I’ve put my 2024 books in the app twice and updated my tbr and current reads. Now, I went to go update my book I read and everything is gone again. Disappointing, I did really like the color shelf and how the books were displayed but not worth my time if they will just be deleted Also have color themes unlocked and they are no longer unlocked.
So annoyed. I have used this app for 2 YEARS and I have been really enjoying it until all my information had been deleted randomly. Now I have nothing on the past 2 years of my reading journey. I loved this app and I didn’t use any other app to log in my books so now it’s all gone. I have tried to email them and nothing 😐. Very unfortunate and annoying especially since I don’t have the best memory.
Tracker. Awesome book tracking app!
Love it on iPhone, terrible in iPad. I have been using this app on my phone for two years and love it. I switched to iPad, since I use that to read, and sadly this app is awful on iPad. Crashes, constant pop ups to try and get me to purchase a subscription or gems, gets dates wrong and messes up my whole read list, and resets after closing so I have to go back and change my reading goal and the bookshelf theme every time I open the app. Sad this app is terrible for iPads
Amazing. I’ve been using this app for years now and it’s great for tracking your TBR, progress on your reading goals, and your personal opinions on books!
Love tracking my reads. This app has made it so easy to track my reads, set goals and keep a TBR list of books I’m interested in
Best app for readers. This app is just THE best! You can custom it all in pink and they even have an avent calendar (you can download nice bookish Christmas wall papers for your phone). I adore this app and I recommend it to all the book girlies!
Great app!. This app is super cute and simple to use. Exactly what I was looking for to track the books ive read.
Amazing. The best app to track and share books.
App. I honestly love this app
Stuck on create account page. Trying to create an account but it keeps saying my password is not long enough. It’s hard to know since there it covers the password when you’re tying. I’ve tried multiple passwords of 6 characters+ but can’t get through.
It’s okay. I wish you didn’t have to pay for the cute things to make the app pretty
LOVE LOVE LOVE. As a book lover, this app has helped me track my books for so long like the reading list oh my gosh, I helped organize what I wanted to read and what I wanted to next.
Great for readers!. Love this app! Lots of options to track your reading!
TBR. I absolutely love this app. It helps me keep track of every single book thaf I have interest in, and helps me learn about if a book is going to be good or not
Can’t see ratings beforehand. The whole reason I downloaded this was to finally see different kinds of ratings rather than just stars before wanting to read a book. So really this is no different and actually far less useful than something like Goodreads.
😍😍😍. J’adore l’application tout est bien organisé et tu te comprends et tout les livres sont la
Nice app. Amazing app to track books and love the advent calendar they have going on for Christmas!
Bookshelf. It’s great for keeping track of the books I’ve read, but the themes (so cute) costing so much is SO annoying
Love this app. Really fun app, encouraging me to finish my books
Great!. I’ve been using this app for over 3 years now and quite like the many different features continuously being added to make the app better. Really enjoy using it!
Love this. I love this app so much. I think it’s better than good reads. Would totally recommend!!
Great for tracking and organizing your reading list!. I really do like this app for organization. I used to keep my TBR scribbled down on a piece of paper that I’d always seem to loose so now having an app to store and organize my reading list and goals is really handy
Cool app. Cool app wish the sub wasn’t so much
My themes that I buy with gems keep on getting removed. I read quite a bit to save up for gems and buy cute themes but they randomly disappear after two or so weeks. I swear I’ve purchased 3+ themes with gems and just recently logged on with a boring bookshelf and everything locked. Please fix this and give me back my themes!
Glitches. The app it good overall but recently it hasn’t been letting me remove my books out of the current reads section even after I rate them or delete them.
Great book tracking app. Great app
Love it!. I love love love this app! Best reading tracker there is!
Outraged.. I have been using this app since 2022. All of my completed books, reviews, ratings, favourite quotes, time line of when I finished the books were all stored on this app. I trusted this app. And loved how it would show my completed books on a bookshelf! A few weeks ago I logged on as normal and everything was gone!! The app was swiped clean. I have reached out to support and it’s been over 2 weeks and no help has been provided. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS APP!!
Amazing. I love this app so much it makes finishing a book feel even more accomplishing!!
Love this app. Love using this app to set reading goals and track. Love that you can customize your bookshelf too.
Cutee. This app is so cute, I love keeping track of my progress and this helps me stay motivated!
Great. I really like this app. It helps keep track of the books I’ve read and I like all the things I can do on it. The only thing I don’t like is that the decorations for the bookshelf are so expensive and it takes so long to get enough to buy something.
Idk. So when I try to rate a book, it kicks me ouf of the app. Low-key great app but can you change it so I don’t get kicked out when I’m trying to rate a book? Pls

Perfect for your long TBR lists!. I’m a huge reader and have been recently struggling to keep my TBR list up to date on paper. So I found this app and it’s absolutely perfect! 😍 you can also give way more detailed book reviews compared to Goodreads eg spice level, excitement rating, fantasy rating. Overall, amazing app!
Love it so far!. I actually really enjoy this app. It helps me keep track of the books I’ve read and if I wanna recommend a book to a friend, just makes everything a bit more easier. Allows me to rate the books, add my favorite quotes, and write a little summary of my thoughts. Another great thing, it lets me keep a TBR list, so I can know what books to look for when I’m at the store. Overall, I love it so far!
Disappointed!!!. So when I first downloaded this app I was really excited because I saw the video on Tiktok of how easy it was to keep track of all the books that you want to read and or have read and also the setup was cute. So I thought let’s give it ago. But the fact you have to pay for this app is ridiculous, you are able to input one book and then boom you have to pay for it. That’s unreal. At this point people just use Goodreads it’s free and they actually have all the books inputted already so you don’t have to do it yourself.
Love the idea behind it butttt. I only downloaded it because I saw the creator (or someone promoting the app) post it on tik tok but I was under the impression that I was going to be able to see how other people rated the book in more than just stars, I’m a sucker for a specific type of book with a specific level of romance, tears or suspense so I would have more use out of the app if this feature was added. Still a really great app to track your own reading
Amazing. This app is so easy to use and it has so many features and rating categories that you just get even more excited after finishing your book. This saves me paper and head space because I am able to let it all out on the app. Get this app if you love talking about your books after.
Great idea… kind of buggy. Overall, I like the app and the idea behind it. The UI/UX was created nicely, however, I have experienced a handful of bugs (yes I reported them) in my first day of using the app. The bugs range from force closing itself while performing different actions, imported books not being able to edit them then app force closing on you, not being able to change the theme of the TBR bookshelf you can go through the motions but it doesn’t let you select a theme other than original. Secondly, why can’t we log into the app especially if you subscribe as pro?
Deceivable rating by the public. The app crashes all the time. The book search and the feature of adding new books is frustrating sometimes. I accidentally moved an added book once and when I got searching again it’s gone you’d have to add it again. The search of any book or author is limited. Maybe cause I didn’t pay for the app? For that I’m not sure. The books you've read will keep showing on for you as not read even if you’ve read it but it wouldn’t shows if you did. Lastly the new recap of last year keeps crashing the app.
Is this bug happening for anyone else. So this app was a 5 star I love it, but I accidentally deleted it because I thought it was a different app, but when I redownloaded it, my read and tbr sections were from a random time in 2023. Like it said I didn’t have any books read in 2024, just random books I read and had in my tbr in like July 2023. This happened about a week ago and hasn’t changed, has this happened to anyone else? I also reported it as a bug.
Love this app. I love this app. I think it is absolutely adorable and easy to navigate. I have tried good reads and reading stats but I ultimately stuck with this app. At the end of the year you get a wrap up of everything thing you read. It’s completely free but you can buy pro. I highly recommend doing the pro billed once a year because it’s 50% off.
Ravishing. I absolutely love this app. The ability to create a TBR book shelf is amazing. I think the thing I’m missing is being about to see how others feel about the book I’m reading. I don’t mind paying for the rating system though it’s a little much but you know someone took time to develop this app so I’m okay with it. I think I’ll be promoting this app a little more than I do Goodreads. It’s worth it.
Great concept- buggy. I love the concept! I need this to sort the ever growing TBR of mine. I didn’t bat an eye while getting the pro features. I went to view a book I marked as currently reading, and it would just exit the app repeatedly everytime I tried to do anything with a “currently reading” book. Love the rating system in the different genres. As well as a brain dump area for thoughts on the book that isn’t a review, BRILLIANT! I only ask they fix a few bugs and then this is perfect!
Best virtual bookshelf. I love this app when compared to the other main market ones. I also think the feature to add books is great so I can add less popular books or translated books where the title doesn’t translate exactly. Very intuitive design and my favorite reading tracker so far.
I love this app. I was planning to switch to this app from Goodreads; however, I will need to keep both for now. I really wish this app would let me add friends and follow people to see their reviews, like I can on Goodreads. Another feature I’d love is if, with the pro option, I could pick the colors myself rather than using the provided options. I’m colorblind, so I’d like to be able to select my own hues for the books.
Wish I could edit…. Love the concept of this app. I moved from Goodreads over to TBR. One important thing I wish was available in the free option is editing the book pages on books that are not accurate in the app. Signing up for the Pro version does come with TON of perks like customizing your bookshelves and different themes. I still have to use Goodreads for tracking my reading progress but I would love it if I could just do it all in the TBR.
Love the app but scared of losing my logged info. I’ve had the app for a couple of months and I love it! It’s so satisfying seeing all my completed reads and I enjoy the rating system. However I just realized that there isn’t a way to save all of the info you log on. I’ve put a lot of my thoughts down when I finish a book and I’m terrified of my phone breaking or something and then losing everything. I wish there was a way to have your own account that you can log into to keep everything secure.
I love this book tracker!!. I've seen this app running popping up occasionally on my TikTok and I downloaded it right away! i LOVE that I can see all my read books on a bookshelf and i think the unique rating system is so fun!! This app is better than Good Reads in my opinion!! 100% recommend!
TBR. I’ve been wanting to get into reading, and had been making a list of the books I wanted to read. The only thing was I had my list in my Notes app and the list was long! Saw a TikTok about the app and have never downloaded anything so fast in my life! I started transferring my tbr list from my notes to the app, and so far I like the layout, the fact that I can change the app icon, add a little plant to my shelf! Very cute app!
Loved this but…. I loved this app it was so fun and great for keeping track of my reading especially since i’m a very disorganized person but one thing i think is kinda ridiculous is the fact that we have to pay premium for certain things because tbh i think it’s kinda dumb but completely understand that you have to make money somehow though but overall love this!!!
No Longer Working. Update #3: For a few days now the entire front page now won’t load and won’t let me add books. It’s really frustrating that it seems like every week it’s a new problem. I don’t know what’s been up lately. So currently can’t use it as I can’t add anything to my Read list. Update #2 lol: Seems like there was another update so atm everything seems to work. Hopefully it stays that way lol. Adjusted rating. Update: They just did an app update that fixed the crashes in “manually add” mode, but now every time I try to view my “goal” tab, the app crashes lol. It’s always something lol. I’ve been using this app for months now, and suddenly it’s not letting me add any books to my read list. Every time I try to the app just crashes. I’m waiting to see if it’ll get fixed but not much use in having the app if I can’t add anything to my shelf.
Good for tracking. I use a lot of apps to read and listen so this allows me to log all books in one place. Most functions work well, but when I try to edit the finish date the screen freezes and I have to kill the app. It would also be good to have a back button for the search so if I click on an author but want to redo a search I was on before instead of starting over.
Love it!. I really love this app. I like that you can design your own bookshelf themes. There is a lot of great information when looking up books or wanting to add to your TBR shelf. You earn diamonds for finishing books which is amazing! Personally I would love to see more colors in the themes. But so far that is the only thought! Keep up the great work!
One thing missing from 5 stars!. I have loved using this app. I have enjoyed the features of rating the books by genre and themes in the books. I love that I can see how many books I’ve read on an actual bookshelf! The one thing I’m missing from this app is being able to rate the books with half stars. Sometimes a book is a 3.5 but not quite a 4. Having the option to include half stars would make my rating a five!
So much to love! Not quite what I need. I read on Kindle Unlimited a lot, but there’s a limit of 20 books. I need a way to keep track of series that are unfinished that I’ve started reading. This app is great for marking the books in the series as read and then freeing up space on my kindle, but I wish there was a way I could mark them together in a series, and/or mark them as an unfinished series that I need to come back to when the next book is released. Other than that, this app is perfect!
What I’ve wanted from a book app…. This has exactly what I’ve wanted most from a book app. Barcode scanning, TBR list that can look like a bookshelf, being able to rate books one content (a fluff rating for romance novels?! Perfect.), and the ability to mark the format I’ve read my book in. For such a new app it has such amazing potential and I can’t wait to see what’s coming next.
Overall good app. I’m typically not the best at keeping track of the books I’ve read but this app makes it really easy to and I just love the visual aesthetic, however I wish there were more ways the earn diamonds other than just buying them but other than that I love it
Such an awesome app!!. I’ve been using it for almost 2 years and I continue to love it!! It’s so much easier to keep track of my reading list. I love that we can change the book covers, and add books that may not have been uploaded on the app. It sometimes lags, but not very often. Overall very good app!! 💌🫶🏼🫶🏼
Amazing!. I love this app. Just got it the other day and it’s super easy to use and I can perfectly keep track of all the books I’m reading. My only issue is that I was putting in books I’ve already read this year and it wouldn’t let me change the start and finish date on the books.
Previous years. Hey, this is a really cool app and I’d like to catalog all of my reading, but I can’t figure out how to add readings to the previous years? I just downloaded it, and I want to have my readings in the correct years, but is my only option to catalog my last year’s reading along with this one?
THEY JUST DELETED ALL THE BOOKS I HAD???. I went to go add another book to my tbr and all of my books that were on there are gone and i dont think i can get them back??? Update : i had to email them so many times and kept getting the automated email and then they finally repsonded and just told me that it’s nothing they could do about it so every single book i added to my tbr and also the books i had to add in myself is gone and i didn’t save them anywhere else thinking this app would be good to store them … completely on me for trusting it DONT BE LIKE ME SAVE THEM ON GOODS READS OR SOMEWHERE ELSE AS WELL , this app is not reliable
Tbr Review !. The most perfect app for any book lover! It has compete potential to be the new Goodreads, with a few tweaks and updates it is THERE. I love how when you rate a book, it’s not just a simple #/5 star rating you give but you get to rate all the components and reflect on the book you have read! 5/5! My one tweak I would make is that I would like to be friends with people but it’s not a big issue for me! Highly recommend :)
Fell out of love, frustrations too much. I was using tbr for 3 months now but had to stop as the app kept closing by itself, and the books I had in my tbr for some of them would come up as having not existed even if I put it in manually or just searched it up. It was doing it more and more frequently too so I finally gave up and went back to the other reading apps I was using. Overlll I do like it and the design but It’s just having too many bugs
Has potential. It’s cute but needs some basic upgrades like being able to delete an import, edit the reading goal (it pulled books from the year before) and so forth. I was able to delete the repeat books for the reading but then halfway through, the app stopped letting me delete a book. Restarted my phone and that didn’t even help.
I want to love but can’t just yet.. I feel like this app has such great potential. I liked the look of the books on the shelf. I wanted it to be my go to rather than the other stuffy apps but the database didn’t have half of the books I’ve read and adding manually was a lot harder than I though. Got seven books in and I called it quits. I can’t wait to see the improvements they continue to make.
Love this app!. When I had a problem the developers got back to me quickly which was amazing because I love this app and how easy it is to keep track of the books you’ve read and your TBR. Another great feature is how you’re able to manually add a book to your TBR if it doesn’t show up in your search. The best part is you don’t have to pay for anything unless you want to!
Worth it. I usually hate apps that are free but have a paid aspect. You really aren’t missing too much with this. You can still create a TBR list, and my favorite part is the book shelf. I am considering paying for the payed part to track the books I’m currently reading. Not very many glitches and easy to find new books to read as well.
Best book tracker!. I have been looking for an app to keep track of books I want to read. I have tried a lot of apps and TBR- Bookshelf is the best hands down. I love that it is simple to use, offers a lot of customization, and has a free option. It also allows you to set a yearly reading goal and offers reading statistics. I actually bought the premium version just to show support for such a wonderful app.
Great App, w/ some suggestions. This app works great. The set up and look is really nice. I do have some suggestions : I think a feature you could add to the Currently Reading section is an option where you can change the format of the book. There would be “total book time” rather than “total book pages”. I think that would be more accurate for audiobooks. Also, adding a tutorial option in settings would help, especially for first time users. Lastly, an option to favorite books that we read. There is some occasional crashing that happens, I’m not sure why. Hopefully that can be resolved. Other then that, the app is wonderful, with lots of useful features. I think the rating feature is almost perfect. I would definitely recommend.
Nope. Literally downloaded the app because of a cute reel I saw on instagram, but was immediately disappointed. Most features are behind a paywall that is way too high for what’s behind it. I liked the rating system, but it forgets about books I’ve literally just added, you can’t use the actual bookshelf, earning gems by watching is ridiculous, especially since it doesn’t work. I was going to do the free trial, but it says a lot about an app when their free version doesn’t work. Don’t get it, it’s not worth it.
Why name tbr???. I do really like this app as it is very easy to use and cute to look at, however I don’t like that almost all of the advertised features are not available to those not willing to pay money. I just recently got back into reading and I would really like to be able to keep a TBR but I can’t with this app, which is extremely disappointing as that is the whole base of the app. At least have an upgraded and downgraded version of a TBR so everyone can use it!
Constantly not working the app. I enjoy this app… when it is actually working. I get a thrill when I finish a book and can review it and almost all the times in the 25 books that I have read this year the app has some type of error where I cannot write my review. It is currently day two of the current error and it still has not been fixed. Will not be renewing the annual subscription. Waste of money and would like to update the themes more.
Great App. I have been looking for a book tracking app for a long time and this one has definitely been my favorite. It feels more like a tracker app than an app to review and rate books like Goodreads is. It’s super cute and easy to use and I would 100% recommend this app to my book friends!!
Doesn’t Sync with Icloud. I have enough storage in my icloud. I also made sure in my settings that the app was set to sync the data in my icloud. I don’t know why it won’t sync though so if you want to use it on both your phone and ipad it won’t work. If you also delete the app and redownload it, the data will be gone. This is a bummer because I want it to save the books I read and be able to use it on multiple devices. I even waited 72 hours for the initial sync and it still doesn’t work. If these feature ever works, I would love to try this app again.
Teasing. I love this app sm, and I understand that there are features that can only be used by premium users, but some of them are just so simple, like book progress. Also, you can't tell which ones you have to pay for until you've already clicked on them, I'd say only 1/4 of the apps features are available for free. I still love the app tho, the bookshelf for the yearly reading goal makes me very happy!
Notifications. My personal experience would be greatly improved if the app would stop telling me to change my notifications settings every time I open it. I will never change my notification settings, I am happy with how I have them now. If this continues, I will be forced to permanently delete this app & find another option.
i love this app! one recommendation….. I love this app! It’s so fun to use and i love all the statistics, and the way you can review things ! if i had one recommendation that would make this just even a little bit better - make it to where you can have multiple types of plants , instead of just the same plant on every shelf. it would be fun to customize !!! :)
I love this App!. I love this app so much! I love being able to track how many books I read and it’s super simple and I love the reviewing section. My only thing is that I have written a book and it’s not on Goodreads but I’m wondering how to upload my book onto the app?
Can’t Update Read Dates. Saw an ad on TikTok and downloaded the app. While being a super cute App and I’m looking forward to using it…unfortunately the adjust read dates isn’t working so unless I remember to start using it again at the end of the year, it just doesn’t make sense for me to use this app at this point in the year if I can’t adjust the read dates. It also seems to freeze when I do try to adjust the read dates.
Enjoying but with a wish list. So far, I’m loving this app. I do wish there was a way to add your own book titles and authors because they do not have all the books I want to read. I also wish the tropes were free. And lastly, wish there was a way to see if a book is part of a series and the book order of that series. Other than that, it’s easy to add your books to different TBR bookshelves and it even has isbn numbers of the books. Definitely enjoying this TBR book app
love love love. I absolutely love the app and the details to the rating system is their one honestly. now i am the fiend that uses multiple apps to track my books but one thing i like about Goodreads and storygraph is I have a profile and a way to access my everything on any device with logging in. I’m on my iPad and download tbr but there’s no way to log in or sync up what i’ve already done on my phone to my iPad
Cute and Somewhat Uselful. The overall whole appearance of the app is aesthetic-which I love! Butttt I just wish that I could access more without pro! Also I think it would be better if everyone’s reviews of the books were public. Like you should make an option for public reviews in settings. I love the categories like TBR (to be read), reading right now, and finished. I think it makes the app way more fun and useful. Overall I like it!! Go download it!! :)
