was fun, now not so much.. the mechanics of this game seems to be very twisted. a “great slide” isn’t perceived half the time, even when you hit it exactly on the down slope. there is no way to keep up a momentum because the hills are placed in a way that if you are in fever mode, you’re too high up to hit the hill before, but if you wait it out you hit the side of the hill and come to almost a complete stop which takes forever to recover from. the objectives are either extremely easy or extremely difficult. the whole racing night time approaching thing is kind of dumb, especially when the sun sets very quickly and it always catches you on the down slope of when you’re leaving an island. there has been no update on this app in a long time, it feels very stagnant and that you’re doing the exact same thing over and over and over again. very glad i played this with the apple arcade and didn’t waste $1.99 buying it.

Amazing game. This isn’t any different than the original, but it’s still sooooo good. My friend played this with me once (we are both in our early teens) and I actually liked it. I have Apple Arcade so I got the game, and I love it. It’s challenging but still calming. This game is good for tons of ages.

Classic now with split screen two player!. I have fond memories of playing this game on my iPod touch. Can’t wait to share it and play two player with the kiddo. If you’re looking for a fun little game to lift your spirits, Tiny Wings is one to consider.

Great Slide detection is not good.. Most of the challenges in Tinywings require you to achieve a great slide or to gain a fever over a certain period of time. This is made real difficult by the detection being more luck based than skill based. After a while, the challenges change from skill based and instead focus on difficulty. An example of this would be to reach island 5 without any great slides. This challenge is telling you to do the opposite of what you would do in any regular run, and intentionally makes you play worse. Plus the fact that Great Slide detection is not reliable makes this challenge annoying and frustrating to deal with. I’m not against fun challenges like “get to island 5 with your iPhone upside down :)”, but past those challenges the game is less relaxing and more grueling to deal with.

Annoying… and gets old fast. This game is not even fare no matter how much I play I always come in third and sometimes last which means I have to keep replaying over and over. Idk how two birds fly up so fast it’s like it’s glitching and cheating. You never come in first place because you have one bird flying like it’s nothing and other just zoom past you. I only gave one star because it’s trash. Don’t play it not worth it!

A classic!. Developer fixed the issues right away and went out of his way to reply to the negative reviews. Thank you for the reply and quick fix. Classic game, glad to play it again on Arcade!

Update: a few days later….. I used to love playing this game. And now I still do, the sounds, the flying, everything is just perfect. I hope they decide to add more to the game in the future. 7/5 stars. Will play forever

Great Game just one problem. This game is a lot of fun and it’s actually challenging unlike some other games. The one problem I have with this game is that they need more levels. In the game there is 2 chapters. One is where you play alone (chapter 1) and the other is where you race against other birds (chapter 2). Chapter 2 is my favorite but there isn’t a lot of islands (levels). My suggestion is that they add more islands. Other than that it’s a fun game.

Too buggy. I used to love this game when I bought the standard version. This version is reading iCloud data? From my old game and will not reset. How to I reset the game and start fresh? I also can’t to daily play on the iPhone mini. It won’t scroll over to that island. Update: changed to four stars. Gameplay is great and they quickly fixed the menu issue. I wish island three, multiplayer, was online play and you didn’t actually need another person in the room with you to play.

The same game but still nostalgic and good.. There is barely anything different with the + version, but still a great game. And also this is good for those that don't want to pay for the original game if they already own Apple Arcade. 🫶

Still fun. This game is still amazing. The soundtrack is one of the best musics in any game. The art style is so gorgeous. And the gameplay is fun. There are some minor problems: 1- playing the game as a left hand person is a little hard. My thumb covers where the bird is and I can’t see where I am landing my lovely tiny bird. 2- the pause button is a little high and sometimes when I try to push it, my touch brings the Notification Center of the phone and I should push a button to get back to the game and push the pause button again. And when you want to quickly restart the game it can get a little annoying.

Boring and brain dead developers. Objectives difficulty fluctuating. I was completing objectives without even trying then all of a sudden after 10+ attempts I couldn’t complete any more due to their difficulty. Also if I’m in a frenzy the sun clock should stop or at least slow. I should be out pacing the night with high speed but ig it’s just a “how far can you go in a set amount of time” which is stupid and boring.

Best Game as a child. I used to play this game years ago when i was little so to see this come to apple arcade is astonishing. This games art style is great and the game itself is timeless. This will remain one of my favorite mobile games of all time and it is an honor to writ the first review.

Fixed : Problem with the game making it unplayable. Fixed: I deleted and reinstalled the game and the screens were normal. It slides the screen to the left when you first start and I think this got interrupted somehow and stayed as a permanent bug I’ll change the rating as soon as this is fixed. I just wanted to alert the devs. I’m using an iPhone 13 Pro Max with iOS 15.0.2 From the first screen I’m seeing what is supposed to be far right of what’s being shown. I can see there’s a tutorial happening to the left of what’s visible to me but only because I’m seeing the right side of it a little bit. Only chapter 2 is able to be selected although I can see chapter 1 off to the left. And even in chapter two I can only see Koi Island.

Too difficult. I’ve been playing this game and never got higher than 3rd. Seems like the earlier levels should be easier. You screw up once and you have no shot of passing the level.

Doesn’t support newer phones. Edit:Developer came out with in update immediately after I posted this review and fixed all of the issues I was having, Game is great.

Glad it’s still around. With the amount of great, original classic games that were left to fade away, it’s nice to see Andreas still caring enough about Tiny Wings to keep it updated. Genius concept and very cute game.

Same as original but still amazing. I was excited to see a new Tiny Wings game on the App Store, seemingly an enhanced version of the original, so I decided to start the free Apple Arcade trial to check it out. However, I was honestly a bit disappointed to see that not a single thing had been added to the game except a new startup screen. But take it from someone who has been playing the game since 2013, speedruns the game, and created a Discord server just for this; this game is absolutely phenomenal. There isn’t much I can say that hasn’t already been said, but the experience you get from playing this is unlike many other mobile games out there, and is filled with love and passion at every corner. Although I was a bit underwhelmed from the lack of new features here (which should definitely be clarified in the description of this game listing!), hopefully this release will give more exposure to it now that you won’t have to pay a price upfront :D

10 great slides island 1?. I’m honestly not sure it’s possible. There are 36 possible spots of great slides, but it requires hopping one hill, so 18 possible, but 2 back to back skips 2 hills minimum (holding down max), which means 5 sets of 2 takes 20 hills. If it’s possible it basically requires perfection, I’ve put in about 10 hours of attempts and it’s unfortunately the end of the road for me and this game. Loved the journey, really wished I could have gotten it but the frustration of hitting 9 over and over again is too much.

cute little game :). When i first saw this come out on arcade i thought maybe i should try it, its a simple game where you fly over hills with a simple tap. I love everything about this game from the sound effects to the graphics. I feel like there could be just a little more features like more game modes and birds, but that's just me being nit-picky. I can tell that this game will become something even better in the future, thank you Andreas, please keep up the great work!! 👍

Fixed: Buggy. Update: this was quickly fixed. The graphics are really nice but the UI is buggy. The touch zones are off by about half a screen. Don’t know what I’m touching.

Great game🤩👍🌈. I think it’a really good game to play when your bored and I love all there characters,there so cute and there are no glitches!!😃 I also like this game because it’s challenging but still fun.

So, great game! There are no problems, but meany improvements can be made……... So, ya, basically, like i said, no problems many improvements. So, first, there should be more birds. I think you should be able to by birds with coins in games, and they can have special abilities to! Like, staying up later, and, doubling coins. Also, it would be cool if there were levels. You don’t haft to do that, but it would be cool. These are must haves: completing tasks should give you coins, and you haft to be able to buy stuff with the coins. Great to see. This was one of my favorite classic games back on my iphone 4/5s and it’s great to see apple rereleasing so many great game like angry birds and others I hope they keep this going and so far I love this game already so addicting I saw some other reviews saying it was bugged-yes it was- but now it’s fixed and is just fine

Gets old fast. This game unfortunately gets old REALLY quickly. Sure, the colors and hills change, but there’s nothing to keep it interesting. There’s no real skill involved, either. You essentially try to time your drops with the hills, but you’re also just kinda stuck with whether the game will drop you mid uphill climb or downhill. Once you get the hang of tapping, there’s no challenge, and you just do it until the timer ends. Even the high scores and coins are meaningless. Like, oh, I guess this random number changed. Cool. Other games in the “try to go as far as you can until you stop” genre will have fun and unique environments to explore, like different trees or types of power ups or special things that keep it fun (like hoops to jump through or clouds or… literally ANYTHING else). Lastly, the design doesn’t work with the rounded screens of any newer iPhone! It cuts off the timer so I can only see half of it. It seems like a game designed just for iPhones with a home button still is a bad design…

Love the game!. I played the original Tiny Wings to death back in the day, and it’s a great game. The first release of Tiny Wings+ had a bug that kept me from playing it — but that bug has been squashed and I’ll happily flying between islands again. One of the best and most beautiful pick up and play games the App Store has ever had!

Tiny wings. So I went to my phone and I was playing tiny wings and then I saw That I can only go on chapter 2 only with the four birds then I shut off my phone and turn it back on and I still get the same thing. did the game glitch or something?

As fun as the original!. It’s the Tiny Wings you remember! The game is a fun mixture of chill and exciting. Ran into a UI bug on startup, but it’s since been fixed, and there have been no gameplay issues, even from the start.

i dont what my title is. I played this game when i was 6 years old and i remember playing it make me happy that i get to playing again it really brings back old memories!

Classic wonderful addition to Arcade. Delightful to play and pick up. I sunk way too many bored hours in waiting rooms with this game and I’m glad to see it here on Arcade. I probably won’t play too much of the flight school mode, but it plays just like the classic app I used to play with the same quirky sounds. If you’ve never played Tiny Wings, it’s an addicting little game that is low stakes and chill :)

It makes you lose every single time 👿. I’ve been playing Tiny Wings ever since it came out on Apple Arcade. It was only fun at the beginning but then when I unlocked Chapter 2, I saw that the Pink bird was ALWAYS the fastest among all of them. But otherwise, the game is great, but if you can make it easier to win, then thank you very much!

In-App Purchase Blunder. Me and my son just recently discovered that there was a new update for Tiny Wings where could earn birds, eggs, nests, etc. We purchased the in-App Purchase and it was great. Unfortunately due to some software issues on my phone I had to restore my phone back to factory settings and was instructed to set it up as new. Not thinking anything of it, since the game and in-app purchases should all be able to be synced, I moved forward and redownloaded the game. The in-app purchase for Double Stars shows that it is still purchased but we don’t receive the perk. I clicked the restore in app purchases button but it yields no results. All birds are gone and all eggs are gone. Reached out to ‘support’ which is just Andres website contact form. Super disappointing man. Me and my son put hours into this game and were so close to getting everything unlocked. Had a good 11-Year run with this game, but I guess all good things come to an end.

Great Game….Until. I was really enjoying this game until I got to Chapter 2 Flight School, Tuna Islands. No matter how much I play the level, I always come in last place and play it over again. I’ve noticed the other birds zoom past me like I’m standing still and I’m doing the exact same moves as them. I’m just about to uninstall this game since it seems impossible to pass this level. I do have a question though. Am I actually competing against other players or am I playing against the computer? If I’m playing other player, how is it possible to come in last place every single time I play the level I mentioned above? Something is not right with this game and it’s not just me. I know how to play. Anyway I’ll try a couple of more times. It really is a fun game.

Same as the original, which still is amazing. One of my favorite games ever, not just ios exclusive. I was really holding out for anything new with this version, but it’s the exact same, in fact everything but your chapter 1 scores carry over to this game. I really wish this game had multiple saves so I could start for the beginning at least, but still a great experience for anyone who hasn’t played it before. However, I have the original version & can stick with that.

Strange Syncing. I loved and enjoyed this game 5+ years ago when it was first released. When I saw it on arcade I was willing to play it again… unlike other + games (threes+, angry birds+, ect), I believe because I previously owned this game it simply redownloaded the original copy of the game. At first it was nice to see an old user name and sync of my old gameplay, but then I was a bit creeped out in how or where did this data exist and how was it handed from original to plus, then I searched for the game and it appears that it simply redownloaded my original copy from the App Store. the two stars are more about the confusion arcade caused, this is still a great game. I think I would of preferred an option to sync or a chance to not to be stuck, where I got stuck before. + should indicate a different .app file, maybe additional content… I can see why this choice was made because the original lacks in app purchases that must be removed for addition to arcade. It was just unclear, concerning, unwanted, from my previous experience playing + games on arcade.

The music is AMAZING. Hi everyone! I think Tiny Wings is a great game since it has a amazing game topic, although I do think that you could possibly subtract the amount of birds. The music in Hill Party is great and actually helps me fall asleep! I feel like the music has a nostalgic vibe that just makes you happily float into space. Overall, I absolutely love this game! Good game, but some objectives are impossible.. I like this game, and I’ve beat all flight school levels so I’ve just decided to go back to the main game. I’ve been doing objectives until i got to one that said “Get to island 4 with no great slides” or smth like that. How am i supposed to beat this??? I don’t really understand.

I loooooooooooooove this game. This game is so much fun! I love it sooooooooooo much, but one request, make it easier to get the sun bird and make it easier to go to the next level, also quick question why is there a shrimp when the awards are fish in flight school? And if it’s possible I would like to get what “fever mode” is, it makes no sense

So good (read before getting). This game changed my life once I saw my friend playing this game and I tried it out and the soundtrack is amazing and it’s just super fun and addicting so in conclusion I love this game and I think you will to so I rate this 9/10

Second Best game where you play as a bird (1st being angry birds). THIS GAME IS ULTRA ADDICTING. You might think this game is for babies but when you play it you will have lots and lots of fun. It has cute graphics, great gameplay, and a good story. Those are the components of a great game. Also I have some requests for Apple Arcade. I think, since the boys at Apple Arcade are making + editions to games, y’all should do Old Man’s Journey and ELOH, I always wanted to play those games, so please take that into consideration, thank you. Going back to Tiny Wings+, it’s a very, very fun game, you should definitely play it.

A few pros and cons…. The game is fun at first, but after having it for a couple days, I did not enjoy it especially. Something I would like is bird customization, level creator, and maybe more music options then the day one and the night one. But I basically want that for every game! Overall it’s a fun game, it just didn’t last long for me to enjoy. But I do like that in flight school, each bird is a different account. I also like that you can customize the bird’s names.

Stuttering issue affecting iOS 16. Just an FYI that there’s some sort of stuttering issue affecting the game on my iPhone 14 Pro ridding iOS 16.0.1, I ran the game on my iPad Pro 2018 running iOS 15.7 and the game is running super smooth, so it’s probably something related to iOS 16 that’s causing the stuttering. Thanks!

Come on tiny wing devs. Don’t get me wrong this is a fun game but the achievement where you gotta fly through the 4th island in fever mode is freaking ridiculous man it’s an impossible task like come on guys remove that crap and make a different challenge no one wants to be stuck on that especially when it’s the last challenge you need to complete to get the max point multiplier I’m sure everyone would agree with me that has attempted it

A Game for Submissive Type’s. This developer wants you to know your name is Reek and he’s going to make you say it! Do you enjoy the sense of being toyed with? Do you enjoy a game that offers nearly impossible challenges whose rules are arbitrarily enforced? I know that counted as a cloud touch the first 17 times but the last 5 didn’t. Too bad, you’ve only needed 20 cloud touches for two weeks to move on.

I’ll never be the same…. My life has changed for the better because of this game. I used to have a committed relationship, a great job, and a nice house, but this game showed me the true way. I used to feel like the birdy, I felt like I couldn’t really fly, that I was just stuck on the ground, trying to get lift off. This game motivated me to break free from society’s expectations. I am now happily begging for money on the side of the road, knowing that I have made the right decision.

A simple yet great game. I used to play this game when I was younger for years and I started playing it again and it’s given me so much nostalgia. The fact that it’s such simple game that so fun. And don’t even get me started on the soundtrack, I listen to that even when I’m just playing a game or working on something.

Fun Game. I love this game. I would play this game years ago on my super old iPod. Playing the game again brings back memories. If you like casual games try Tiny Wings+! My one suggestion is that I am playing using my iPhone 12 Pro Max and the black part where the camera is obstructs the gameplay. Maybe this can be fixed. It’s slightly annoying playing with my screen cut off.

Beautiful and Super Fun Game. (Along with the paid version) This is an absolutely beautiful game, it has a clean and neat style there is lots to unlock and do such as different game modes and 240 birds to unlock! This game is also super nostalgic for me, it’s been around for a bit.

Upside down challenge glitch. In the 14x objectives phone isn't registering being upside down and cant complete the objective. Happy to see an update after so long though!

Graphics error. On my iPhone 13 the game is shifted so the centre of the screen is all the way to the left and I am unable to select or play at all

The Dream of Flight. Absolutely amazing! The controls are so simple, and yet complex at the same time. However repetitive it may seem, it never gets old!

Nostalgia!. I’m so glad Apple has brought this game back! This brings back so many memories playing this game in my iPod 4th Gen lol.

Not great. The game right now is basically unplayable, I’m not sure if it’s because I’m on a pro max or what but I cannot change my character or change my name at the start, it is very hard to scroll through worlds and when I get to choosing the level I cannot choose level 1. I scroll to the left and level 5-1 starts tripping and the game just breaks itself.

No complaints. It’s awesome! I love it, I just hope that it comes out with more ways to play in the future! It is very chill and relaxing, a perfect distraction from stress to relax before bed.

It’s okay. I really love everything about the game. My one complaint is that with non-Apple Bluetooth headphones like JLABS for example don’t sync the audio correctly causing left and right switching between my earphones. It’s kinda distracting when your trying to enjoy the game.

Unplayable. As the game is, it is unplayable because the anything on the far left side of the screen cannot be selected. It cannot be scrolled into the center to be selected so I am unable to choose my character or even select the first and only available set of levels.

Amazing but I wish I hade more time. This game is amazing so nostalgic. But there was a bug where I slept in the middle of daytime which is weird I love the game but I just wish I had more time to fly!

All kinds of graphical glitches. The island selection ui seems to be completely broken on a 12 Max Pro. Actually game is fine thankfully.

Too difficult. I couldn’t get past the fourth level sadly… I thought it was a good game but the achievement goals in order to advance to the next level are just too extreme for me. The game has a lot of potential but it’s not fun repeating the same level over and over.

Why one star?. No disrespect was intended to the developer. It’s really Apple that deserves the one star; Not you. Apple has dropped the ball when it comes to gameplay. I did play the game for about 30 seconds and I got frustrated. Nothing’s wrong with the game specifically. It’s more of everything is wrong. Why am I partying like it’s 1987? I remember playing sides/scrollers back in 1987. remember “comander keen?” Almost 40 years have passed and it’s still the same old; same old!! I used to play it on my intel i386 Most of apple games are all mostly either a side-scroller or a tower defense game. Yeah the graphics has changed, but the gameplay is the same. It’s really disappointing

Update has ruined this game. Physics of game have changed significantly. One minor bump slows your bird down 90% and then getting back to speed is incredibly slow, requiring many more slides than previous versions. Nightfall seems to be delayed some, but once it shows up you get engulfed very, very rapidly. Don’t like this upgrade version at all.

Tiny wings. This game is so much better than my other games! It’s truly amazing! I play it on my phone every day! You have to try it. It’s so fun! I am beginning you to get this game!

I truly missed this game. I remember having my sisters old iPod touch or like first gen iPhone on a long car ride having either the Lorax 2012 and this game

Better stuff out there. Got stuck on an objective and spent weeks of my life and hours trying to complete it. Now I have no desire to play the game. Would be nice to skip an objective. There’s better games that make you feel like you’re making progress rather than actively wasting time like you really are.

EDIT: It works now. After a few days the game finally works and it’s cute. It’ll take some time to master it but I enjoy it.

Best game ever. This has been a fantastic game since the earliest days of mobile gaming and it’s still fantastic

Horrible. I liked it, at first, but you just get stuck because it's impossible to beat. You're always moving slower than the other birds. Especially when you hit the water- why is it that all the other birds just breeze through but the actual player moves so slow? Ehhh. I'm deleting the game. It's unrealistic. It's not meant for you to beat.

still beautiful with great sound design. loved this game back in the day and i’m excited to see it shine again, coming to apple arcade. still super cute and fun, also still frustrating when i bonk myself on a hill at the wrong angle lol the dev has great communication and is also very active with any issues folks are experiencing

Bummer.. Unplayable on my new Apple TV 4K. I’ve always dreamed of flying but my remote is too new. I am an early Tiny Wings adopter who got a lot of my friends hooked on this game and I was so excited to play this on my TV when I hooked up my Apple TV. The game requires me to use an old Apple TV remote which I just don’t have. Bummer.

Has bugs.. Fun game but Im suprised apple allowed this to get published like it did, it has a major bug on the iphone 12 pro where the image is not set to my display correctly and goes offscreen this makes it really difficult to navgate menus and see upcoming obstacles in the game

Game menu is totally broken. Selecting a chapter/level is completely messed up. Can’t even go to chapter 1, can’t pick certain levels and the menu design glitches out. It’s an overall a bad experience from an old App Store game that clearly wasn’t polished to be in the Apple Arcade.

YES!!!. I have been waiting for this game to come back for so long I’m so happy to see it played it on my first iPod touch thank you for bringing this back

Tiny Wings nostalgia yayayay!!!. Yayayay I’m so excited Tiny Wings is on Apple Arcade it’s sososo awesome an iOS classic and my favourite I loved playing this game when I was tiny so it’s so Rad this is on Apple Arcade yeeehehehehehe such excitement!!!

OMG so fun. Ok this game is soooo fun!!! No ads and an easy to play game. You get to make you birds!! Sooo exciting. I wish there were different skins to earn and stuff.

Too Good. I remember playing this game when i was younger, very fun so happy that apple arcade added it, the levels are the same as i remember, 5 star rating.

Unable to progress past level. I’m on a level that says I can’t have a single Great Slide to reach Island 4. Don’t know how I can possibly do this and there is no way to skip the level that I can see. Next to worthless to keep trying, hence the low rating and I just keep deleting the app from any of my devices.

Fun, little broken. I have limited screen time, when I open it to request more time. It always crashes… 🤨🤨🤨

The Best of Classic Mobile Gaming. Extremely solid one-hand controls, gameplay that never gets old, it's practically timeless.

Alright. It is alright, but there is not much in the game to do other than hold down on the screen and that is not the most fun thing in the world.

Can’t beat the first level. I was excited for this game come out but when I tried it, it was hard. I mean, I get the point, and I can make it to the 4th island and get 100 coins, but no, no I can not get freaking 7 JUMPS into one level
