Worst Reward App Causing Lost Sales. Since the app’s rollout, I tried logging into our business account to avail ourselves of the rewards we have earned. We have spent the majority of our supplies’ budget with Staples. I cannot log in - it says an account already exists with that information. Of course it exists. I am logging in not signing up. Today I spent over $300 and neither I nor the store staff member , Xavier, could log me in to my account to get to any rewards to reduce the cost of the supplies purchased. I tried explaining the app’s dismal failure to the store manager who really didn’t know what to say except “I’m sorry you’re having difficulty with the app.” I am not having difficulty with the app. I have an MS in IT. The app is badly designed and shouldn’t have been rolled out yet.
Still has old bugs. There is still some of the same bugs whenever the in-app notifications pop up. For example when a notification for classroom rewards pops up and I close it out, then click wallet, the screen is blank. I have to close out the app and reopen it. When I reopen the app, another message pops up asking to allow notifications. The other bug is when clicking on wallet, the screen brightness goes up, but when you close out the app, the screen remains bright.
Quality!. Staples sells a great variety of goods for businesses as well as for a home office. The prices are very good. I love that Staples takes specific items for recycling too. You can get the list on line. You can help the environment and get Staples credit for future purchases. Staples is a win-win.
Exceptional customer service!. Jesus, one of the sales managers, at the Irvine location is so friendly, professional, informative, helpful, and funny! My husband and I came in to buy an office chair and he was so kind and made the shopping experience so wonderful. I would come back again specifically to this store over and over again for the exceptional customer service that was demonstrated by Jesus today!
Staples regional management. The Stuart Fl team takes care of any of my purchases, questions, issues that I have. I have purchased multiple computers and supplies for my company and other Medical facilities. As I past business director , I would have them on my team any day. Thanks for doing a Great job.
Non Matching Prices. The price that was on the shelf, where I picked up the item, was not the same as what came up at the check out. This is not the first time that I almost overpaid at this location but when I mentioned the price difference, the cashier corrected things immediately. Had I not said something I’d be out almost $10.
So easy to use!. The app makes it so easy to see your reward credits and to find special reward items! Before I had to log into my regular account and switch over to the Rewards area and search for my credits. Then I had to print out the Reward Certificates to show at checkout. Now I don’t have to switch anywhere! I just open my Rewards app and show it to the cashier at the register. Thank you programmers for making my life easier!
Not ready to use. Staples web connect startup / create a new account / login for app procedure is way too cumbersome to tolerate. I have old one and will continue to use it, though cannot delete my new connect account just created as the delete my account totally locks up - can’t scroll down - can only see the top where it talks about some things that will be deleted. I thought it would be handy to have a barcode in app for clerk to scan at checkout (old app doesn’t have) to make it easier. —- It’s not easier for customers to have to install new app and either leave it running or login each time with a kludgey procedure. No thank you.
great store and app. I highly recommend Staples. It has almost everything you need even now it has cleaning supplies and other household items and the prices are great. I love their printing. They have done such a great job for me. I love their sales, which can’t be beat. I rate staples 5+ stars.
Great Job! Melissa & Darian Staples Associates - Hanford Store. Just wanted to leave a comment here regarding the great customer service provided by these two Staples associates. I am a frequent flyer at Staples for business. - They both made my last trip very pleasant and enjoyable! I had a very large print order and came in a couple times to finalize the order. Melissa was patient with my order and provided helpful answers to all my questions. Very Polite, soft spoken, and great to work with. Also, she went above and beyond by suggesting applicable coupons that are available for me to save on my purchases all on their new Staples Easy Reward app. I was impatient but she explained the benefits of the rewards and I’m grateful I listened! Thank you Melissa! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Staples Easy Reward App also gave me access to a special coupon on a case of 24-pk Water $1.99/case. I left with 6 cases of water at a fraction of the price. At the checkout, Since I was new to the Easy Rewards Darian made an intentional effort to see if there’s any additional points/rewards I am eligible. She was polite and helpful. Spend the in-store dollars before returning!. If you get a deal from spending a certain amount of dollars (spend $70, get $15!) and have to return something from that purchase, the deal will instantly go away. So be sure to spend those in-store dollars before you return the item. A little ticked off that I first returned something, thus losing my in-store credit if $15, even though I was spending $40 more.
THIS NEW SYSTEM STINKS!!. The LOOKYOUNEEDSIS review is spot on…this new, unbelievably stupid and useless app is the pits!!!!! Even AI wouldn’t be able to figure out all the mindless information on rewards, points etc. Once I use my $14 owed to me from recycled cartridges (not even on my account after more than a month ago) I won’t be going to Staples any more! I don’t need this frustrating and aggravating system in my life. You idiots in Corporate better rethink and fire those responsible or you’ll be out of business!
Customer-Oriented. Outstanding and engaging staff. Bryan Parker, GM and his assistant, Nancy, as well as the print and copy staff, especially Dakota, have always made sure all my needs were met. While waiting for copies to be made, I had the feeling of being in an old store, where everyone was an acknowledgment coming in and going out. Conversation between customer and staff was high-grade octane, over the top as good as it gets! For having a small staff, noticed employees did little finger-pointing or verbal directions. They actually walked alongside the client to take them to the location to find what s/he came to get. An amazing, professional, welcoming and friendly environment. A great model for the retail industry.
Fairfield Store. Dominick Mesiti recommended this app to me. I’m a teacher and he informed me all about the classroom rewards program. Dominick was patient and took the time to help me set up an account through the app. He’s an exceptional asset to the Staples company! Every time I go to the Fairfield store I look for him to assist me; knowing I’ll get the best help!!! Thank The app is user friendly and I love how rewards can be earned and given to the school of my choice! What a great way to give back to the world of education.
Bring back REWARDS for Teachers!. I loved sharing my rewards with my favorite teachers. They only received a 1% raise this year! Teachers are expected to manage over crowded classrooms, spend their own money on classroom needs and only are allowed to write off a very small percentage on their taxes.
Staples. Staples is always a great store to shop. It has the products I want. I enjoy shopping around there. The available facilities and personnel that help with copying, shredding, advising, and shopping makes for a worthwhile experience. The personnel are always helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. It is a good place to recycle batteries and other items. I will continue to shop at Staples.
Staples store Great Falls Montana. I can’t begin to say enough good stuff about that store. I’m fretted every time I walk through the door. The employees are Always pleasant and eager to help throughout the store. The Copy Center is my all time favorite place for when I need help.. the employees there are over the top Great! You talk about knowing your job, doing outstanding work, high quality and pride in doing the job best they can! You can tell the Store Manger is also doing outstanding work. The employees always say how they love their jobs and they boss is great to work for. I have personally worked with store manger Cory Thompson on many many projects. He cares about every customer that walks in his store. Busy as store manger’s are he always takes time to help us customers. If I had to pick the best staples… Well the Great Falls one it Amazing! Just a note I have worked for this Staples many years ago and many of my family through out the state. We all Pick Great Falls!!! Please thank them for jobs well done!
Make it easier on everyone!. Hello, I’m an associate at one of your stores and have been through the countless moments of having customers leave after realizing the process needed to sign in. For the sake of your customers time, please replace the initial “join now/log in” screen with the “join for free” button that appears once you finally open the wallet. This makes it simpler for the associate to direct the customer to the product we want to sell and it makes it 100x simpler on the customers who don’t have the time to create new passwords and for those who aren’t as tech savvy.
Tom Longhi. Great store, neat clean, easy to find things. Staff knowledgeable and friendly. Manager is great will walk you anywhere he has to in order to find your item and can answer any questions you may have. That is our store!😃
Confusing and Long. As a Staples Associate, we recommend getting this app, but not every customer doesn't want to sit and wait for “the quick and easy sign up and download” It also doesn’t help when they sign in that there’s more to do. It would make the customer and us. The associates' lives would be more manageable if you made the signing up quicker. In general, make it less of a hassle. Also, we should recommend customers get this app, but we shouldn’t have management on us if we don’t get any. Primarily when you work at a low-traffic store. I don't get many people checking out at the register people mainly come from Print and Marketing and online returns.
Best office supply store. I have shopped at many different office supply stores. I have found that Staples does a better job when compared to other stores. Yes, they do have some people who have personality issues. However they are rare and not the fault of Staples
please make it easier on us!. as a staples associate recommending the app is something we always do. but everyone always gives up in the middle of it because it’s so CONFUSING AND LONG!!! most customers just wanna get in and get out because the people we attract to the store are typically very busy and don’t wanna sit and download an app. please please make it easy so we don’t have to say it’s super quick and easy and then customers get mad at me when it’s not. for the love of everything PLEASE make it quicker. most customers are surprised that after they put in their name email and phone number it’s still some more steps. and then they get mad at me and say “you said this was quick and easy” and then my management is confused as to why i’m not getting any downloads … please… help us out here.
New computer!. I walked into the Staples in Lebanon Pa with my old computer to be repaired. They replaced the hard drive, but didn’t fix the problem so they said it was the motherboard. Due to the age of the old computer I decided it was time for a new computer. After the representative informed me what was available, and what was the best fit for my needs and all the features on the computer I decided to purchase it. After two years the computer stopped working, and service department said it didn’t have a hard drive. I wasn’t informed of this when I purchased the computer new, and it cannot be repaired. So I currently don’t have a very high rating for Staples!

$300+ in Rewards vanished!. Just visited a store 4 days ago and after the visit was up to over $300 in Rewards. Went into app today and apparently they updated it- which borked the login and had to reenter. But once inside ALL rewards have vanished, and it even asks me if I want to “join for free” the Rewards program I’ve been a member of for 20 years! Holey moley, their app developer seems to have screwed up mightily beyond belief! I can’t even see any coupons beyond a team of paper, and all my lists and past orders are GONE! I tried entering my name and phone number again to see if that would fix it, but it tells me That number is already registered! Geez, glad I discovered this tonight rather than in line with a cart load of items at the single register they staff! Whelp, looks like another hour or so will need to be wasted speaking with their sweet outsourced Philippine WFH CSRs soon. It is kinda quaint to hear the chickens clucking in the background as I try guiding them through another unhinged corporate decision to mess with what barely worked to make it less workable. Mostly happy with Staples itself when it comes to store level, but I swear their PR department has been laughably inept for years. This includes whoever designed this app.
Staples app is a game changer!!. Ever since I downloaded the Staples app my life has changed tremendously for the better. It has everything I need. I went from struggling on the streets to being able to buy 500 crayon box sets. Talk about started from the bottom!
Printing. I’m helping with a wedding and something was thrown onto me to get done in a short timeframe. Kaitlin was Amazing!!! She was beyond patient with me and helped me figure out how to make it all work. She even ran some sample prints until we had the look I was looking for. Great customer service.
Thank you for great service. Thank you for the special service in finding what this old lady needed. Robert not only helped me sign up for points, but helped me with my new phone that I had problems navigating. He was knowledgeable, helpful, patient and polite.
Nice but needs minor improvements. Downloaded today since the old app no longer worked/prompted to download the new app. Definitely nice improvements with the UI and the speed. The only thing I can see after making a couple of purchases (and having to log in multiple times) is the lack of Face ID to log on. Add that to the app and I will gladly come back and give you five stars. Otherwise, well done.
Made by Toads. Didn’t get past signing up as the app actively omitted required information and arbitrarily worked against you. 1) Can’t paste you’re email in the email field, but you’re free to paste your email in the “confirm email” field. This tends to be more of an issue when you use alias emails (Hide my Email). 2) Password requirements are not conveyed to the user and inconsistent. Entering in you’re password you will see below the field text that states “8 letters, numbers, or special”. Yet when you enter a password like oG*#3UiJ7$%n4p9^0J&l (which meets the stated requirements) that text turns red and doesn’t tell you why. On top of that these same requirements are not applied to the “confirm password” field below, which give the green check. Pet gripe, but if signing up had this level attention I don’t have much hope for the app to function let alone keep any of the data I enter secured.
What happened to the old app?. This new Staples, easy rewards app is useless. I have been a Staples plus member for at least a decade, and I shop only at one store, my local store. However, in looking at my information that supposedly transferred from the old app to the new app, there is no information under ‘In-store purchases’ except the words “It looks like you haven’t made any in-store purchases”. What the—?? I just recycled, several ink and toner cartridges for rewards, but there is nowhere in this new app to review the rewards from the old program. Under the FAQs I found the following: Looking for your remaining Staples Rewards? Your earned rewards from the Staples Rewards® program can we found in the Rewards center, in your February eStatement email or in the Staples® app under Account, then Other Balances. Only problem was the Rewards Center was devoid of any information (‘You have no rewards’); and in the new app under ‘Account’ there is no ‘Other Balances’. I don’t know why the developers felt the need to completely retool a program that arguably lots of loyal customers loved, myself included, into this clumsy, user-unfriendly, self-promotional tool. Hate to say it, but unless y’all can fix this disaster, Office Depot may soon start to see a lot more business—including mine. There’s a good reason for the old adage “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”; you would do well to heed its advice.
Employees are signing customers up without their knowledge. As an ex employee I can say on the daily every store is faking a decent amount of their app signups. The app is wonky, signs you out every few days it seems. Takes too long to get customers signed up, they get confused easily and give up. Then when they do sign up it seems like everyone has trouble linking their accounts. I do not recommend using it unless to take advantage of the attention seeking coupons.
This “new” App is Ridiculous. It’s like something from the 2000’s with a small, portrait orientated screen that doesn’t change based on the orientation of your device. It is NOT reflective of the same retailer’s website, which means you have to learn a new way of accessing anything. It has no way to send feedback to the developer or the retailer on the new App. If used on a iPad the screen pretends you are on an iPhone held in the portrait orientation. Until all of these issue are fixed, this App is worthless. It is obvious the current rating is based upon Staples requiring its employees to rate the app highly. I hope the employees at least got to use work time or got paid otherwise to lie for the company.
Devs, listen to your associates. Is this supposed to replace the other Staples app or are you all going to insist on having three different Staples apps?? How is this still a thing in 2024? I just logged in to this one because apparently this one is for rewards and the other one isn’t?? Anyway, I entered my phone number and it tells me “Oops, that account belongs to someone else”. It’s me, I’m the ‘someone else’ because I’m the account owner who just successfully logged in! Please, folks, even your poor associates are in here leaving reviews asking you to make things better and less confusing. Those are your internal customers and you should listen to them. Just focus on making ONE good app and scrap the rest.
Not Easy. I have deleted and reinstalled Staples three times and have no problems until I try and download “Easy Rewards” only to be told unable to enroll now! If you want to keep my business when you call it easy “it should be”.
App doesn’t work. Start over folks. After downloading the app, creating my account (even though I already had a Staples rewards account) because nothing transfers over, once I got to the store it did not recognize my sign it. So while 7 people queued behind me, and your very helpful store associate also trying to get me in, I simply gave up. I will likely shop elsewhere going forward. This is an absolutely brilliant customer DISLOYALTY app. Well done folks.
Great app for everyone!!. This app is great for both store associates and customers. I enjoy the coupons that come on the app, and appreciate the fact that they change weekly. I work at Staples and am really happy that they’ve started doing this!
Rewards number removed?. I got an email saying my rewards number was removed saying it’s tied to a different account! Now it’s asking me to create a new account. Also there is no information on how to get a new paper card-or where to see my old one. This is crazy plus the fact that if I read it correct-staples rewards for ink will change from $2 each to a point system? I will probably be going elsewhere as I used to LOVE my Staples membership..now.,Im not too sure
Changing brightness. The app turns the brightness to near max upon opening. I get the goal is to make it easier to scan in store. But if you’re going to change my brightness then you can change it back to my setting when I close the app or move off the rewards tab. UI 101 stuff.
Staples Printing Team!. I would like to give a gigantic shout out and thank you to the Staples Boise Store on Eagle and Chinden! Everyone in that store is always duper friendly, courteous, and helpful. And I cannot say enough wonderful kudos to their Printing/Design Department - specifically Alexis and Madelyn! They consistently provide the gold standard in customer service and go above and beyond for their customers, regardless of the size of the project. Professional quality and excellent service. Worst app ever. I have long loved Staples, especially the teacher rewards and have been a frequent customer for years. After my experience with the new East Rewards app, I’m not sure I will be buying at Staples any more. The products are great, prices are okay and customer service usually great. But using this app was a nightmare. The clerk and I played hide and seek with finding my card and my rewards for almost half an hours while I allowed others customers to go ahead of me. I had looked at the app earlier, then pulled up info I needed before I went into the store. Inside the store, I honestly believe the info moved from place to hide. When I managed to pull up both my card and my rewards, only one the rewards I had went through. Either Staples intentionally makes it impossible to use promised rewards and uses this app only as advertisement, or the app developers don’t know what they are doing.
Why remove Apple Wallet support?. Your previous app supported adding my Staples Rewards card to Apple Wallet. Why would you remove that feature in this version? If I just run into Staples to buy something, I don’t want to have to open the app (and re-log in often) just to access my card. It should pop up on my home screen using location awareness like it used to. It’s no different than having a plastic card on your keychain. Removing features like this is doing a disservice to your customers. Please re-enable Apple Wallet support.
Great leadership. Mgr Ken Hayes and print production specialist Sammy were both so helpful and patient as I tried to move my non-profit’s publication needs to Staples from another business that no longer valued our patronage. Ken helped us get going with the non-profit application process for tax exemption and told us how to apply for permanent tax exemption. We’re grateful to have them working with us.
Where’s the update?. Ever time I open this app, it says update to latest version. Yet, when I click on the update now button, it takes me to the App Store , which says “open”. I then deleted the app and reinstated it but it still said update! That’s not the only reason I gave a low rating. I’ve clipped. & saved digital coupons only to have them disappear before their expiration date. Terrible app.
Time needed to review the site!. It’s new just opened it yesterday. Trying to use it but you interrupted. I just saw something I wanted. Time is needed to complete my thoughts. I would like to review the sale items if you let me. Will be happy to give my thoughts at a latter time!
Shopping is okay. Notifications are spammy. The shopping experience in this app is OK. It’s not the greatest, but I suppose that’s understandable. Given the number of products at the store actually sells and the limited number of categories. My problem with this app right now is that I can’t seem to get it to stop spamming me with notifications for random promotions. I’ve turned off the all of the available notification options in the app, including ones for promotions, but it’s still giving them to me. It does it even after I’ve logged out of the app. I guess I’m going to have to uninstall.
Fixed login issue- thank you!. App works great now! But At first: (The app won’t let me log in. After I login, it allows it for 2 seconds, then says “incorrect login credentials” and takes me back to the login screen. I’m able to login through safari on my phone through the website, but not the app.)

The staff were great in helping us with finding needed supplies and inventory that we needed. They also did a great job in checking us out. Times are hard now for American families. With the rise of cost on foods and other essentials. Staples has great deals and great prices and savings to help families. Connecting the numbers. I love staples however, when I put my phone number in for the business account, it does not connect to my business account. I had to pull up the app and pull out the business account number. However, the business account number should connect to my telephone number, so I don’t have stress with the service people at the desk If you could straighten this nonsense, so I would be really grateful
If you know you have a problem, please fix it. Update: After a trip to the store (where they couldn’t help) and an email to customer service, I was able to get this app working. In case you have the same problem where you get stuck on an intro screen with no x in sight, try logging in on a computer to choose your extra point options. Then magically the app works. They are aware of the problem with an x not showing on the screen, but so far haven’t fixed it. Sigh. Also, the bouncing ball/logo opening of the app takes way longer than it should. Lots of room for improvement, but for now, I’m changing this review from one star to three, mainly because I got help that actually worked, which I appreciate, even if it was annoying and time-consuming. *** Initial review: After having Staples sales associates badger me to download the app, it’s stuck on a welcome screen telling me about three great features of the app. Not thrilled that there is no way out of limbo, even with closing the app and reopening it. Doesn’t work in Canada. I would love to use the Staples app but it inky works for American stores. I don’t know why it is in the Canadian AppStore if we can’t select Canadian locations
Canadian app??. I am Canadian and downloaded this in the Canadian App Store but can’t sign in due to not living in the US. Please remove it from the store or make it accessible to Canadians.
Worse interface app ever. Worse app when it comes to user friendly. They need to look at this problem like setup location and search products.

pointless and useless app. got this because i needed an account to print photos and figured that i would just download the app which apparently is only available in the states. Waste of time might aswell advertise that this app is only for the usa.

USA Only. The app can only find a local store in USA. I live in Canada. When I ask the app to use my location, it says there are no stores within 250 miles even though there are 3 Staples stores within 10km (7 miles) of me. Not could I enter a Canadian postal code. The app only accepts all numeric US Zip codes. I would have thought Staples could do better than this!

Useless - business only for USA!. Staples.ca is only for English Canada. The Staples Apps are exclusively for Business accounts It support, doesn't understand what is customer service experience. - product not available in store, must be ordered, but Apple bureau en gros app does not work, impossible to connect as Apple is blocking multi site transfer, and it support are not able to help you how to fix this, to make it worst, staples.ca in English only has no issue connecting... Add the fact Staples.ca is not able to provide an electronic invoice in French, in Canada! When clicking on web site, French get a copy of your invoice - in French, you receive an English only email - with an English only invoice... It support is tellling you you THEY must change my profile language, which is French, to get French invoice from French Canada web site. Add in this staples is using the stupid USA date format, and post in French, English month description, with idiotic month day year format not use anywhere around the planet earth except for dumb USA... 95% of people on planet earth use day month year date format, what is so difficult to understand USA mdy format is wrong outside USA? Been 3 weeks now back and forth with Staple it support, to try to get login French Canada resolution on Apple device (MacBook pro m3-2024, iPhone and iPad iOS 17.5.1. Also tired of getting answer to use Google chrome. Tried Safari, Opera, Edge Chromium and Chrome, which dare alll the chromium engine, ton confirm it's not working on any browser. Hello, I’m from Canada. While checking out Staples Canada I decided to download the app. Downloaded the app and it keeps asking for a ZIP code. I’m from Canada… we’re we have postal codes. If I could I’d give 0 stars for false advertising it being inclusive to Canadians. Very disappointed with the developers not taking this into consideration.

Very nice helpful staff- in copy center. Went there this morning to find out and use the free shredding services. The friendly young man helped me with setting up the app, explained how it worked and shredded my documents.
Printers. I had to get a new printer due to upgrade in spectrum. I was helped by Eric and Joe at the Springhill store. They were very very helpful and got me a great deal. The new printer works great. Both employees went above and beyond to help. Thank you
Can’t create an Account. I tried several times to create an account with this new app (even though I already had an account, which I’ve used recently on a Windows desktop), and when I get through with entering all of the information, I cannot access the submit button at the bottom of the screen. I guess I’ll be going to Office Depot in the future.
Employee Bridgette in Helena store. Wonderful employee service and patient with setting up my staples account. Asked if she could take a tip she replied she wasn’t able too. We should all be so lucky to have such a sweet and helpful employee.
Terrible. This app is awful. I spent 20 minutes coming up with a variety of passwords that meet the criteria only to be redirected to create a new password each time with the same instructions. After I finally created one that met the mysterious requirements (apparently not the 8 character minimum, case sensitive …) I finally got to the sign in page. I clicked “join to get rewards” and the app crashed. What a waste of time.
Staples Connect. Love how this app Truly connects everyone and helps our students with the give back program. Amazing coupons and discount. Hey I lead one of the store as a Sales Manager. Great place to be a leader and work for. They truly care about their internal and external customers. Love it.
Excellent Service. As usual, I did my annual school shopping at Staples (#951/ Westchester) on July 17,2034. I received extremely helpful information (Staples app) and service. The Staples employees were professional and friendly.
Recent update is disaster!. I can only imagine how much business has been lost since update. You might want to check your sales numbers and make some quick adjustments to this updated app that completely downgraded efficiency. I could not even complete my order and missed out on the sale of the product I wanted to purchase. I wonder if Office Depot had a sudden increase in sales recently?
Bad Connectivity. This app constantly crashes in the middle of transactions, and the rewards and coupons for those transactions are lost. I don’t want to stand at a check out line and try to remember one of my 50 or so passwords to log back in when it reboots, nor do I want to STAND IN A CHECK OUT LINE and reset my password. Fix your connection problems. Will not use again.
How it helps me. It help me to get stuff for my children when they need stuff for a project, school stuff, and to get all the supplies that the teacher gives them .
Horrible App. First, the prices in the app are different than the prices in the store — even when you have selected a store. There isn’t a cancel order button. In fact, staples makes it nearly impossible to cancel an order that is a “pickup in store”. And if you somehow figure that out, don’t plan on getting a refund anytime soon. The employees are incompetent or poorly trained. I’m done with Staples — that was easy!
Takes forever to log in. Guess I hadn’t been on in a while and it logged me out. Took forever to get past some new rewards thing to agree to and so many screens wanting to tell me what was new and how to use the app as if this was the first app for a retail store I had ever installed in my life. I can’t imagine anyone getting past one or two screens before giving up.
Too long of a process while at the register. App requires logging in or creating an account which is too long a process for most people (including me) to want to complete at the register. I created an account once I got home and it keeps giving me an error when trying to link my Staples Rewards account. I know I'm entering the correct information. Currently a lot of hassle for no reward.
Can I get a shout out for Ry.. I love meeting new smiling faces. The staff at Staples on Kenny really made the extra effort to not just make my day but also welcome me as a valued customer. For that reason I now support the Staples app on my homepage.
Signing up for the Staples app.. The clerk at Staples told me if I signed up for the Staples app I would automatically get credit for $15 off my next purchase of $50 or more based on my Staples account which I had just used at the store. I signed up, but did not get the credit. BOGUS!
User friendly. It would be nice to have an easier way to find the correct cartridges or toner just with the printer number. Also is there anyway to have the cartridge number with the name of the correct printer that you can use it with.
Broken app. I keep getting prompted to enter my phone/email to lookup my existing rewards account just the receive a pop-up that says Uh-oh (annoying BTW) this account already exists. OBVIOUSLY it already exists… that’s the point of a LOOKUP. The store associates… 3 of them, tried to help but couldn’t and customer service gave me an empty response directing me here for an app update. Do your job and fix your programming… please.
Good to go. I am not very tech savvy and this app is really easy to navigate when making posters for my business. Plus, everyone in the store in Ankeny is ALWAYS helpful when I need them!
App forces Screen brightness. The app overall is good. The coupons are easy to use. My issue is each time I use the app, it auto adjusts my screen brightness to a very bright setting. My settings for my brightness are set based on my environment, I adjust as needed for my own needs. The app should not be adjusting the phones brightness. Please fix!
App doesn’t work. Start over folks. After downloading the app, creating my account (even though I already had a Staples rewards account) because nothing transfers over, once I got to the store it did not recognize my sign it. So while 7 people queued behind me, and your very helpful store associate also trying to get me in, I simply gave up. I will likely shop elsewhere going forward. This is an absolutely brilliant customer DISLOYALTY app. Well done folks.

Nothing but issues. Constant issues. Being signed out for no reason. Not recognizing account information (although it’s confirmed to work at store level). Seems like once again Staples paid the least amount of money for development and got a crap product. Don’t use. Waste of time. In store coupons and deals are better then app deals anyway so the whole thing is completely pointless
No longer able to see in store pricing/inventory counts. The staples connect app before the most recent update was useful in viewing in store stock as well as instore pricing where the website usually doesn't show in store prices. Now after the update it seems like the staples connect app just mirrors the staples website and doesn't show in stock item counts or in store pricing at my local staples anymore.
Rewards!. Staples seems to have the right idea, real rewards, not junk. Saved $20+ on multiple visits because I finally decided to download the app. Worth it for sure.

Stored card?. I added my credit card to my account under Payment Method. It says I have 1 card stored. But when I look under Payment Method, it says I don’t have any stored cards A week later the problem went away. Credit card was visible and I was able to complete an order which I received
Login issue. I am a strokes associate and login/ create is so frustrating best recommendation to log in is if they have a rewards card as a login that way it auto-populates the info and create a password

Terrible app, faster and easier to use browser!. I couldn’t help but notice that the good reviews here are about the stores or employees, while the negative ones ate about the app. Slow to load, landscape mode no longer available, missing data. I can’t believe the rating is for the current app. I try to buy locally as much as possible, even though I pay more, but Staples doesn’t make it easy.
Awesome stores. Online shopping make it easy. That was easy shopping. Navigating to my previous order was easy. Highly recommended.
Slow. Great app! Don’t get me wrong it is an amazing app with great deals, but if you are going to have an app that is for a store I would suggest that it doesn’t take a long time for it to load on the phone. Us customers want to be able to tap the app and it load right away, not be sitting at check out waiting on an app to finally load and take up so much time that it takes away from doing other things.
Can’t Log In. Was forced to download new app. Asked for my login email but does not see my account. I had been logging in with an ID before, but it no longer has that option. It’s making me create an account. I can log in via the browser. So guess I’ll opt out. Don’t want to screw up access to my account. The old app was fine and very convenient. Don’t know why it’s not recognizing my email?
Keep up the good customer service. The branch at 6th st. and Vermont is very close to my place. Also the staff from fax and copy section, technical and cashier are all respectful and ready to serve your concern. All are professional. Keep it up!
Fine app. Haven’t had this app long but so far, so good. I like all the coupons in one place, and all my rewards. One point off because it’s been slow to open lately.
Associates hate it. You’d think after 2 app launch failures they’d learn their lesson. But no they decide to make a new company and call it something “different” so they have twice the bankruptcy power. This allows them to deliver us a half baked app that constantly crashes. Then they release updates that changes how you log in and create an account thus, screwing you out your coupons.
Great app. Great app is very user-friendly. I like it, I can shop and get what I need and don’t have to go to a store, which is great because there is no staples where I live.
Can’t log in. This app needs a update. I have an account but I can’t log in. The app gives you an option to put your email but it doesn’t recognize that there’s an account. So it automatically tries to create a new account
Forces me to create new account as existing user. I have a staples account and can successfully login online. The old app prompted me to download the new version which I did. The new app asks to check my email to see if there is an existing account. When entering in my email, it makes me create a new account. My email address was typed in correct, and I have a rewards balance on my account. Now I have to recreate a new account and lose my rewards and history to continue using the rewards program. I can login to the website no problem using my email address as well. It’s frustrating but I don’t need to use staples for the business.
App looks horrible on iPad. Downloaded the most recent version of the Staples Rewards app. I use it on my iPad but it is a horrible looking. It is designed to fit on a phone screen. I tried using the enlarge option but it loses focus and wastes screen space. I deleted the new App and will continue to use the older version I still have on my iPad, since the new one replace it!
An App that Saves Money. Would be better if they included the aisle numbers for the store you choose to shop like Walmart does. That being said they are many app exclusive deal, coupons and offers.
