Idea. It’s a good app, it does not record 100% of the time… even if your phone is charged. It has helped me drive better as I’m focused on getting a good result/ five stars afterwards. It would be cool if you added a saving money scale. That would be a good motivation. As I have gotten all the awards and now their is nothing more but to maintain my good grade of 97-99.

Good…but…. My cornering is NOT uncontrolled, yet my score in that area is always low. What do you want me to do…put the car in neutral and get out and PUSH it around corners???

Poorly designed. The app assumes I am driving even if I am a passenger so I get dinged if I use my phone. There is no way to temporarily turn it off without having to turn off location tracking which is a hassle. It would be nice if the app could read whether CarPlay is active or if Bluetooth connection to the car was active to determine I am driving. I wish uninstalling this app didn’t impact my discount. I really don’t want it.

Won’t recognize my cell number. Can’t sign up because it doesn’t recognize my cell phone. The same number they text my bill to.

Garbage app. It dings you when you’re in bed SLEEPING, as if you’re DRIVING!! Garbage app is just awful! We’re switching to another insurance because of this horrible app!! 😡

Be careful’ this app has hiding purposes.. Today, I was informed by a Geico representative that our family is been charged charges based on this application record. It sounds like this app is used to invade the client’s privacy. They said it keeps record of how many time you abruptly stop your car while driving, if you use your cell phone while driving, etc.. this is unacceptable. Be careful and do not authorize this GPS on your devices. It has huffing purposes. I did not authorized it.

App forces you share your location. There is no reason for GEICO to force me to share my location and info at all times even when not driving a vehicle associated with the account and makes it a pain in the rear on its customer’s to turn off the tracker when I’m not Issing the vehicle

Has Issues. It works alright but it doesn’t sense the Cornering and Smoothness function properly, I even tried turning like a 90 yr old person still can’t get a good cornering score and for the Smoothness function if you’re in in town traffic with a lot of stop lights it’s going to ding your Smoothness score, it’s working alright and saving me money but it needs a lot of issues worked out.

This app is a trash. Impossible to create a new account—keeps showing me the message telling me that there’s no associated account with the user info even though I’m under their policy. Customer representatives couldn’t solve the problem either. Just don’t ever opt in for GEICO Easy Drive policy. It will only give you a headache and waste your time.

Serious privacy violation. Why there is no people come out to stop it and accuse Geico? What is our government doing now!

Can’t login. I can’t activate because it says there’s no account associated with my phone number but I can see my score through the regular GEICO insurance app but I can’t contribute to it. I don’t want to lose my discount because of this

The Driveeasy app was DISABLED by Geico. The Driveeasy app has been replaced by the general Geico app, which now includes the Driveeasy functions. Most Geico personnel don’t know this fact. They will connect you to tech support that also doesn’t know this. Very discouraging that they still let you download a disabled app. Pathetic, really.

Can’t login. Cannot login because it doesn’t recognize my phone number. Maybe it’s a good app once you login but for me it’s useless.

It thinks your driving if you’re passenger. I’m a college student and my friends and I carpool all the time. If I am texting as a passenger, the app things I am texting and driving.

Stop tracking me when I’m not in paired vehicles!. Why does this app track me everywhere? It should only track me when in a paired vehicle. I’m required to use this app but rarely do I drive a company vehicle.

Disappointed. I have tried and tried and tried to download and add this to my policy. I can’t follow the prompts because it says my there is no policy attached to my phone number which is in my profile on my GEICO app policy. I’m doing this on my phone and the app says my phone number doesn’t exist! This is so frustrating

Can’t get in. Like a lot of reviews, app says my phone number isn’t associated with any policy when I can clearly see it on my active policy. Gee GEICO you’d think with everyone saying the same thing you would do something about it.

Cant activate app. Like another reviewer, I can’t activate the app because it doesn’t recognize my phone number even though it’s in my GEICO app and policy. I can still get the trip data though through the GEICO app. Another TERRIBLE feature is the using your phone while driving. I wiped out my good score because my phone moved and fell onto the floor. At no time did I use my phone but ANY movement gets interpreted as phone use and resets your score. Come on GEICO, FIX THIS.

Activation Fail. When activating, app is unable to match phone numbers to policy IDs. Not worthy of a spot on my phone until this bug gets fixed. Has also motivated me to shop for new auto insurance - why should I miss out on discounts because the app is broken?

Geico app. GEICO’s App keeps me informed of my driving habits and makes me aware of little glitches in my driving habits that I didn’t even realize were happening. It also has a great source of info concerning my account and other drivers tied to my account. All in all very helpful.

Flawed: App causes you to pick up phone. This app interferes with map directions. It appears that the app and map are competing for the same resources; thus, the map program is slow and delayed. This of course leads you off course and forces you to pick up the phone to find out if you are on course or if you need to turn around. You’re dinged every time you handle phone so how does this application promote safety. Seriously, this program will cause accidents if it competes with google or Apple Maps.

Programmer, please fix. Cannot get into app. Had to call agent. Now, I cannot see scores because app does not recognize my phone number. Awful! Trying to be a good driver but this app is of NO HELP!

Can’t even register. Have Geico insurance. But when I try to sign in, it says account does not exist. So I can’t even register for it! I can assure you that I have been a geico customer for more than 5 years. Are you hinting that I should go with someone else?

Awesome. I love seeing all the reward badges pop up. It’s like receiving a prize each and every time I open the app. It gives me real feed back and I get a great discount for participating. Easiest app to use.

Takes out the guess work. The trip monitor is so handy, I hope it lowers my premiums

It’s alright. Saves me money, so I’m good with it. The only thing is, it has no way to recognize when I pass my phone to my spouse. Therefore I have to select like 90% of my trips as “passenger”! GEICO is probably very suspicious of me at this point lol Edit: to those whose phone number isn’t recognized by the app, you’ll probably want to contact customer service. It’s entirely possible they have a technical issue going on, so please be patient.

Great app. Although I am not driving right now this app did keep me on my toes and helps me to drive carefully.

Absolutely not!. Will not accept my phone number to link. I didn’t realize what an invasion of privacy this program would be. I drive a company vehicle for most of my day and there is no way to differentiate when it’s my personal vehicle (the one covered by my insurance) or the company vehicle. Plus I have an issue with GEICO having so much access to my phone even when I’m not driving. I kept this program a while 5 hours. If it was just a simple device I could install on my personal car I’d be fine with that but the little bit of money I’d save isn’t worth my invasion of privacy.

Yelp. Great app only thing is I would like to see my bill and billing plan on here! Other than that it’s a good app

AMAZING APP!. What an AMAZING APP! It’s helped me become an even better driver and to be mindful of everything that’s going on around me on the road even more than ever!! I love watching my score stay in the 90s and just keep going UP UP UP!

App in Review. At first, seemed not too pleasant to have this app as a necessary functionality of your everyday every moment driving. However, it made me aware of my driving, as well as to be a defensive driver every time I planned to pick up my keys. It’s improved my awareness on the road. No longer do I follow the speed of the traffic as I use to. I follow the laws of the roadways.

GEICO. I bought insurance not someone tracking me down all the time , it’s a terrible using this app GEICO take this crap off it’s not working for commercial.

Can’t activate. Doesn’t recognize my phone number as being linked to any account. Says I will lose my discount despite multiple emails to GEICO to remedy this issue. Don’t penalize the customer due to engineering/tech issues with your app.

Bad. Really really bad app.. The main Geico app and this app isn’t syncing or talking to each other. I downloaded this app and messed up my existing Geico app, it’s not recognizing my number anymore. Besides that it deleted my family members from the DE program and getting them back on needs serious intervention by a wizard. Needles to say all of my family and I are not I the program anymore because we’ll, we can’t get back on it. Sigh.

I like how this app hold people accountable.. There needs to be a way to temporarily disconnect the app for when you park in a parking lot and you need to make a text… maybe it only disconnects for a matter of minutes or until the vehicle starts moving again. I physically have to get out and walk away from my truck to be able to make it disconnect. Other than that I thoroughly enjoy this app! Thank you so much

App Won’t Link My Phone number. When I put in my phone number it stated “there is no account associated by this id number” I’ve called GEICO support twice and they are giving me the run around.

Drive Easy is a cool idea but needs work. I like the idea of this but the drive easy definitely needs to be adjusted. Frequent hard braking counts when in stop and go traffic. Also, I don’t think it recognizes the idea of a roundabout. I literally have one at the bottom of my street but drive easy like to count it as “uncontrolled” turning. Last I checked I’m not drifting my Subaru Outback around the 1 lane roundabout. Please fix because my score is going down ever day regardless of how slow I go.

App is flawed. Don’t hit a yellow light and stop it will ding you for slowing down too fast and forget it if someone cuts you off! Any time someone else drives like a moron you adapt to their driving to get out of their way. This app will ding your score for all the wrong reasons. One way to avoid getting a breaking too fast is to roll through the stop sign or light. Not a very good promotion of driving defensively, more like how many accidents can you cause by holding up traffic. Acceleration is also an issue when you start in first gear. Got dinged for going too fast from 0-8 mph in 1.8 seconds. This application is just a way for Geico to charge you more based on the way the rest of the idiots on the road drive not the way you drive. The app is perfect if you were the only one an the road and the yellow lights lasted long enough for you to slow down in time to stop slowly. Worst idea ever Geico!

Mustang MamaMama. This app is making me more aware of my driving and consequently a better driver. A bit creepy at first, feeling stalked, but resulted in a better understanding of the importance of paying attention while driving!

A phone is a Necessity. there’s times when you’re trying to use maps to get directions And they ding your score. There apps that you need to use while driving. My phone is hands free on a stationary stand. I should be getting dinged when needing to use it And what about at red lights. You’re not driving. You’re stopped. But other wise. Great idea. Good app. Should try to fix some little things tho

Hummm. The idea is fine, but it needs fixes that go with reality, there are cornering where you go below the 25 limit and you go 20 with a lot of traffic, the curve is safe at those two speeds, but if you lower the speed you are risking having an accident, the application does not understand that, it has a map that says what there is a cornering and if you did not reduce the speed, you are bad according to the application, that is very dangerous and of course it can produce an accident, the same is repeated with the smoothness of the handling, not as much as the cornering , the rest is fine, it is just adapting!!!!

Accurate and beneficial. This app is accurate on GPS directions of where I have been. The app is beneficial to safer driving due to the fact that every move is being monitored. This allows for more cautious driving in hopes of cheaper insurance.

Won’t accept my mobile number!. Get your act together GEICO. Silly app will not accept my mobile number. Been a long time auto and home member.
