Best distributor but dark mode would be nice. I have used DK for over a year now and it’s been great for me. They finally have an app and it made me so excited but i feel like a dark mode option would make it even better.

DistroKid Virgin User. I was pleased that DistroKid turned out to be a music distribution company rather than a Japanese anime substandard cartoon. Matter of fact, I happened to require at the Moment of this unparalleled, unvarnished revelation, that our band WYRED’s ‘Image’ Album project was complete, expertly mastered and ready for release to DistroKids vast roster of stream-n-purchase entities! I do report that once my album tunes were parked in DistroKid’s streaming, sales and distribution platform, the overall mix-n-balance clarity and separation were found to be unexpectedly steeped with powerful quality & balance, upheld by an unusually clean, brilliantly rounded bass-punch! I understand that though my new released album’s applications have been submitted initially by DistroKid to several high-visibility major streaming & sales platform companies who never haphazardly offer them up for listening and sale, but rather my music is carefully scrutinized & qualified, requiring some time to approve and apply to their systems. About Time 🥰. DK was obviously in desperate need of a mobile app, and this seems to be just fine. So glad I don’t need to keep logging in to the web portal now, love that I can get notifications for new earnings releases 👍👍

This is good for beginners. This is probably one of the most user friendly apps that I could find because tune core was very confusing for me. If you have seen any TikTok’s saying that this app isn’t good then they are lying most likely but I have only been using this app for a little and it has been very reliable

IM SO HAPPY. I’ve been wanting to release my music for a while now, I didn’t know how to get it on streaming services but I was really determined, this made it SO easy to release my music, I’m so glad I got it, thank you DistroKid!!

Update the app!!. Its a pretty straightforward app easy to use, can't complain for that but my issue is that you cannot remove an individual track from an album if you wanted to. I think an update on that would take this app through the roof.

BEST APP EVER. Collaboration price for just 5 artists is expensive. The fact I have to pay extra just to feature other artist to collaborate on streaming platforms. It feels like a money grab & should either come with the service or at least be cheaper

Good but bad. Here’s why:. I thought that when I saw the app advertisement that this app allowed to stream music across the music platforms for free everywhere or a few apps to stream music, but when I signed in I had three options but the good options were not all free. I had to pay at least 2 dollars a month. Even though I’m busy, if I were less busy I’d be able to not worry about paying.

Problem with synced lyrics on distrokid. Hey SO I recently got musician plus because you can set release dates and do synced lyrics ect. So for some reason when I try and sync lyrics for a song when I let go of the synced button it disappears and I don’t know why? I’ve tried it on computers/laptops and on my phone but it won’t work I really hope you guys fix it because I think synced lyrics are cool but its not working for me PLEASE FIX

The BEST digital distributor. Distrokid is the best digital distributor there is! I have tracks on Routenote and Amuse, and there is no comparison. There’s no royalty threshold to overcome, and you get paid within a week of requesting your royalties, no matter how big or little they are. Also, they deliver your songs to stores in as little as 24-hours after uploading! I changed my artist name to Nardy Global, and I uploaded my song “I hurt (radio edit)” to Distrokid, and it was added to the stores by the next day.

I’m pleased with the service! Very accommodating! Very communicative!. Talk about ease of use! This is the most efficient process I’ve seen! I never thought it would be so easy! Thank you!

Stressed. I’ve been waiting for months now trying to get into my account I still haven’t been able to they won’t let me get past the pay part. Which I have already did. So I purchased UnitedMasters but I’d like my distro account as well because UnitedMasters is sucky & I have friends who use distro so I wonder why it didn’t work for me

Not what it used to be. I have been using distrokid since 2019 and love them as a distribution platform. I’ve never had any problems with them. However, I am unhappy with their newer updates. They are charging now for what used to be free services. An example is I used to be able to get my lyrics into stores for free now I have to pay for that same service and now that I’m paying it seems like it takes even longer for my lyrics to hit certain platforms if they even do him that platform. How can you all start charging for services that used to be free but now your quality of service has slightly dropped?

Reliable until you hit a bump. I’ve been using dk for a few years and had no issues but as of recently theyve made a few changes. For some strange reason both my distrokid accounts have had issues with withdrawals. Any other time I had an issue someone responded quickly but when it comes down to getting the money they owe you they flagged both my accounts for “suspicious activity” for no reason, both accounts had payment methods with my name attached to it like usual and it was just flagged for no reason. When i contacted support it took almost 2 weeks for them to reply then once they replied they told me it was fixed and I tried again and it really wasnt fixed. I emailed them again and waited close to another 2 weeks for another simple reply. The wait times you have to wait when it comes to getting your money is ridiculous and they dont give any other options to contact them only email and they take forever to reply only when it comes to getting the money you are owed.

Easy and fast. I wasn’t expecting the process to be so easy. And after I finished, my song was on all streaming platforms working a few days. And $22 for the whole year is extremely fair priced. Great job.

How To Log In After Buying Subscription. If you bought a subscription and it gives you an error message, go to your App Store purchases and check if it’s pending. It will stay pending for a day or two if it already is. Check after a day and it should say the date of purchase, if/when it does, log out then log back into DistroKid. Now it should work!!

I love the app but just one question. I know of 5 people that showed me proof of them buying my music so how come I haven’t received any money I’ve also see people with 100,000 downloads and only make $10 why is that are u really not giving us our full pay and pocketing what we make and thinking people wouldn’t start noticing

Y’all need to try this app if you like uploading your music. I hope y’all can use this app it helped me release my music on streaming platform its really helpful to start off your music career

Only way to go!. As a songwriter for the last 25 years with over 300 songs money was such an issue to publish these songs until I found this app. It’s amazing. I’m publishing all of my music now…

Cover art error. When adding cover art, after positioning photo & scrolling down a little the screen goes blank . Makes me start the process from the beginning

Horrible at Support, Great at Everything Else. DistroKid has one of the slowest support departments i have ever dealt with. This is extremely sad because the rest of their service is top tier, but the lack of support when you need it is really a bummer. Me and PLENTY of other artists have had payment issues in the past, and it seems to take 2+ weeks to even get a response about it.

Mhm. Ok so I been using this app on and off. I had a subscription on an account but it wasn’t allowing me to drop any music. I think this is a new bug on the app because it won’t go past the subscriptions and it’s like forcing u to buy a subscription just to not let you in the app. I now have a subscription price taken out of my bank for a subscription I don’t have nor did I request. Besides that even when it took the money from my account I’m still not able to get pass the subscription page asking me for different memberships . Please fix this. I’ve already requested a refund from Apple smh.

Says it will be uploaded today but still hasn’t. It’s been 3 days. I uploaded a song on August 19th and have been waiting for 5 days so far for my song to be uploaded on all platforms. I’ve been patient and have been seeing the “Everything looks good & your single is on deck. It will be sent to stores TODAY” but it’s been 3 DAYS about to be 4 and still nothing.

VERY SATISFIED. I’m going to keep this short and sweet. I used tunecore before and it was an absolute nightmare. I felt so in the dark during releases, even ones that were planned weeks in advance. DistroKid user interface allows for the artist to feel more engaged in a release, even having promotional templates to utilize. What a great and relieving platform for distributing music. I love to drop a lot and DistroKids yearly plan makes it super easy for me to drop whenever I want!

FINALLY! Lol. Distrokid has been amazing, but I was always frustrated that there wasn’t a streamlined mobile app. I work full time in addition to making music, having to do the double login thing, and then navigating through a desktop site, on a mobile device, while at work, was becoming really inconvenient, and was causing me to miss a ton of distrokid messages, slaps likes, feedback, comments, colab offers, playlist curators, legitimate offers from lables etc… I’m really psyched this came out. It’s going to make my life way easier. It looks great so far. I’m hoping Slaps is integrated into it in some way. I love how simple that platform is. Having an app would be so nice. You guys rock - UGLY-MONEY

Finally!!! Thank you!!. Looks and feels like the website, but app! Everything feels like it runs smooth. Hopefully we get the “Goodies” section, for Promotion and Hyper follow! Otherwise, navigating is super easy. Haven’t uploaded yet. But, seeing the Bank easier, and getting onto stats is way easier on mobile!

Question. I haven’t started my plan, but before I do, do I need an Apple Music artists account to distribute music to Apple Music because Apple Music for Artists is hard to get started but Idk if u need an account on that to convert DistroKid creation to Apple Music

Distribution & Tools for the DIY Artist. I had a bad experience with an album I released a few years ago through a different distributor, so I was weary, but Distrokid has been a great company to work with thus far. I love how user-friendly their system is, all the tools they have for artists, and my album was delivered on time correctly to all platforms as promised. Will work with them again for sure!

Almost there. App is pretty cool but there should be an option to listen to your upload to ensure you selected the right file. My uploads were approved and I’ve set my release date but I still would like to listen to the uploaded file. Also there needs to be more instructions during the process. I was able to figure it out and google some things but still. There’s room for improvement.

I was charged twice and have not used the service. I was charged twice and they told me they wanted the proof I provided a screenshot from Apple showing the money that they took from my account and said that they didn’t this is reason to lose trust in companies like this it’s sad , because what about the artist ? And what happened to keeping your word I did my part and haven’t heard anything back in days I’m disappointed.

Reliable until you need something. I’ve been emailing Distrokid for about a week asking why my song with a famous artist is stuck processing and almost in limbo phase. (For over a week) Got no responses. Threatened to go to another music distro and they said go right ahead. Not professional to me, when I’m just trying to figure out why my song is not going anywhere and I get no updates and then treated like that? Smh. I’ll give it 2 stars because I haven’t had a whole lot of issues until this one. But just unprofessional.

Overall Good app to release music. does take a couple days to get on all platforms which had me worried but i’m pretty sure it’s like that for every app overall good

Good distribution but i can’t edit the accounts. The fact that it’s cheap and has lot of tools is good and that it helped me pursue my dream of becoming an artist. However, When you go to publish a song and don’t have an artist profile already made, distrokid creates an account for you and publishes the song on their. this is cool however the only problem about that is that the artist does not have access to the account and can’t edit anything on their artist profile like profile picture, or background. All that is there is the default artist profile and looks bland and unprofessional.

🔥🔥🔥. I am super happy and pleased with the new mobile app, I was able to upload my music super easy without having to sign onto a laptop or desktop. My only small complaint is, I would like the option to Master my records on the iPhone the same way it’s on the laptop. I don’t see the function on the cellphone. I wanted to master a few records before uploading Them but it wasn't there, but other then that the APP IS PERFECT! 🔥🔥🔥

Really good. This is really good and the best for publishing music, my one problem is that it doesn’t charge monthly so once you get a plan technically, it’s only a few bucks but it automatically charges you the money for the year, but other than that it is a really solid app for publishing music

so upset.. I’ve spent money twice now over $50 to have my music distributed and both times distro kid has messed up and made me locked out of my account. This is now my second time requesting a refund and I’m gonna have to wait another month for it. even though they say “8 days”. this is so messed up man for a small artist i dont have alot of money and i keep loosing it on this app. im so upset and stressed out right now man

This deserves more than 5 stars. I just got a Distrokid subscription a month ago and I am blown away by how amazing this app is. I have the 40$ plan, and there is more on here for me to use than I could have ever expected. It really feels like a service that wants to help you make music, and it has this amazing feature where you can insert your song into a clip from the TV show Friends! This is a fantastic service.

One of the best things about Distrokid is that I have 100% artistic freedom release music the way I hear it. Distrokid has all the tools you need to release your music recordings.

Great app but annoying log ons. The app and distrokid’s service is excellent. The only annoying thing is every time you log into it you need to re-enter your user name and password and then enter an email verification code. This would be fine the first time u log in but it’s every single time, so it’s often easier just to use distrokid outside the app if you need to log in more than once.

Easy. I’m still like a kid at heart, and this program made it fun and exiting to use.

Diatribes. First song was a little daunting but once you read n check everything it was really easy for me to put my music on Spotify

Hyphenated names. I have had to complete the tax form like 4 times and every time it says my name is wrong or it doesn’t match the name in line 1 of the form which I can’t find. Every time I have typed my name the same way, I have a hyphenated last name which the website won’t let me use so I just added the names without a hyphen and it still said they’re wrong and not matching. This has made my experience with this service not very enjoyable as how am I supposed to get payed for my music when they won’t even accept my name as a valid one.

DistroKID. Great app

Withdraw earnings. Be aware guys they are scams. I was using this app for more than 6 months, i got $130 earnings, when i tried to withdraw earnings they removed all my releases and I didn’t get any money. I emailed them however their reply was useless.

Pretty Good. Missing lyric editing in the app unfortunately.

Took my money - cancelled the account. I paid for one year. Two months afterwards after uploading they cancelled my ability to upload and share - claiming my music was fraudulent. My music is completely my own. They were rude and dismissive and said no chance of a pro-rata refund. I can easily see who is the fraudulent one.

.. Wouldn’t trust it if i were you when i was taking out my earnings a few days ago a few days later distrokid deleted all my singles on spotify and other platforms i had my music on they also never gave me my earnings.

Poor support. Has gone down hill. Phillip Kaplan doesn’t sound like the good guy anymore. Support is terrible - the usual disrespectful kind you get from Spotify support. Keep in mind, Spotify owns these guys now.

DistroKid changed my password & is withholding my earnings ❗️. As a new artist with DistroKid, I was skeptical at trying this distribution company. And my worries were real; my PASSWORD GOT CHANGED WITHOUT MY CONSENT, and my EARNINGS WERE WITHOLDED❗️ I created my account on December 4th 2024, and already (2025-03-21) I was stranded in the application. If I don’t hear back from customer support soon, as it takes many days sometimes and they close the ticket if you haven’t had time to reply, I’ll send this information to the Better Business Bureau and start legal procedures with a team of entertainment attorneys. I hate being scammed; and this company seems so close to a scam… so far, this is robbery (stealing all earnings from an artist’s music earnings). #CourtOfJustice #DOJ #Scam #Alert

Disappointed. I loved using DistroKid’s services to distribute my music but have recently withdrawn my songs due to their union busting practices. Such a shame. I had hopes that they would be conducting their business wth integrity towards their employees but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Bad distribution. I joined last year, and I have been promoting my mashups through them, only to withdraw my profit, and all of my mash ups and mix have been taken down, without any explanation. I wouldn’t advice anyone to use this platform for their music distribution

We can’t connect with apple. Everything is in the Title. I signed up with Apple on my computer, while Apple use private random email to connect, its not possible to enter the right Email on the phone app…

No Hyperfollow Access. The app is very user friendly, but the only reason I really wanted a Distrokid app was to access the main hyperfollow link and be able to edit it, which unfortunately you can’t do in this app yet. Looking forward to when that becomes available

Down $100 for a $50 subscription with no refund almost 4 months later. I have bought a year subscription for DistroKid before and it was fine. Although this time when I went to make a new account and start a new subscription, I paid for musician+, yet all I got was a loading bar at the top of my screen. For 1 hour I let my phone sit and wait plugged in, and nothing but the “choose a plan” screen and a loading bar. I tried to access the account on my pc but it said I didn’t pay for it yet the money left my account and I have the email receipts to prove it. When I try to press on the musician+ plan on the phone app it tells me I am already subscribed and then keeps loading. I had to pay for it again on my computor which interestingly costed $10 more for the same subscription the second time I bought it. That’s a little bit fishy DistroKid. Furthermore when I contacted support, which led me through a multi month email string with 18 emails sent as of now with still now results. I have had 5 random swaps of the team members im emailing, and all of them keep sending me in loopholes for information which I provided in the email receipts and screen recordings i attached to the emails. At this point I give up on ever getting my $50 im just so disappointed with how DistroKid handled this and still hasn’t handled it. Point is, If your going to invest in DistroKid, (which I highly suggest you don’t) DONT USE THE PHONE APP because I doubt you want to deal with this.

Just a Scam. Fraudulent charges, no customer service, and a lot of run around if you want to get anywhere, not even worth the subscription, I’ve had nothing but issues with distrokid, not a single nice thing to say, would rate 0 if I could

Unbelievable. I thought submitting songs to Spotify would be hard but with DistroKid it was so friggin easy. And by the way it also submitted my song to like another 20 platforms and yes it showed up in TikTok! This was all for under $30 but they do then try to upsell with you. Overall a 10!

BAD APP. BAD SITE. NO CONTACT TO ASK FOR HELP. I will make sure , that , my songs songs will get released by another streaming platform. It said that my song got refused to go on platform of streaming because of the cover , and told me to change them but each times that I tried , it didn’t allowed me even if I fixed the problem on it. Even by clicking the link in the mail it didn’t work . And there’s NO CONTACT TO ASK FOR HELP NOT EVEN AN EMAIL. Perfect distrokid , you’ve lost a client and will definitely lose many more .

Scout & Sam Productions. It’s so easy and fun to upload music and it takes very little time or effort also $22 a year is an insanely low price for what you get

Fix This. It works very good but everytime i leave the app for a long time i have to log in and again and then confirm my email everytime

Literally non existent customer service. Problem with my account out of my control , but ill never get it fixed, because they literally don’t have customer service at all. Good luck if you have a problem, actually , there’s no chance you’ll get help. Requesting refund for this abomination of a service

5 stars. Does exactly what it says and then some. Distrokid goes above and beyond by giving you the tools to start marketing your music on your own.

Uploaded my music incorrectly. I have tried upload an album and ep for ages through this app and they keep posting it on different accounts same name. I have it as BlvkJlaw and they create a duplicate account with the same name, and put it on there, instead of my actual page. They have ruined my process and I am thinking of switching distributors.

Only one problem. I love the app. The only problem I have is having to re-enter my email, password and do the two step verification every time I want to get on

the UI isn’t the best. The UI of the app is confusing and not as accessible as when your using it on a computer

Mixea is horrible. Distrokid automatically charge me without letting me mess around with the EQ. Ruining all my songs causing sibilance and harsh noise. Feels like I just paid them to destroy my work. Customer service is not even useful when it’s just a bot giving a error message. Great distribution app but be careful because they have some money grabbing schemes

Payment promblems. I can’t get my funds from distrokid. I’ve been trying for several minutes. Why does the link not work?

Very simple. Easier to upload music, cool features this is definitely it.

Can’t even update my email.. I tried to update the email on my account. Followed the steps correctly. Clicked the link that was sent to me. Logged in through the browser. For some reason out of the six times I tried it, it did not update my email. I contacted “support” also very useless, gave me a thumbs to come and write this review. Fix this now please, and update my email.

I did nothing wrong. I upgraded my subscription then all of a sudden my songs was stuck in review then they told me I couldn’t put music out through their platform anymore I’ve cancelled my subscription and deleted my account and they still won’t send my refund

Things I expect within the next year. 1. We need to be able to add descriptions to singles and albums, for example utopia has a description. 2. We need to have full control of the names of the songs like I want my songs in full capitalization like (THIS) for a song 3. We need to maximize earnings 4. We need to be able to upload music videos That’s all, we at least need the first 2.

Real review! By Artist TXRESE. Love that distro isn’t only on the browser now but a mobile app. I’m a new artist and it’s been useful for uploading music to streaming services. Love the wheel of distro too! Add it to the app.

Not a single complaint. So far so good. Maybe an update on when your album hits every platform in real time. But I’m pleased with the execution.

So fire, but. It changed my whole quality of life to have the app. Didn’t have to go thru 2 step verification every time. Now just need to add live lyrics feature on here and it’s perfect

Terrible customer service. After 6 emails back and forth with robots, I finally got sent an email address for an actual person. After sending 3 emails to them I got no response back for a very simple problem. By far the worst customer service I’ve ever had. I will be switching distributors.

Not Voiceover Accessible. I'm visually impaired and use voiceover on my iPhone. I can't even access the opening login page. So pathetic. The disabled are always the last to be considered. especially in the realm of fields that claim to be open-minded and inclusive.

It post quick and they respond to emails pretty quickly. My only problem is my songs won’t sync to my features appears on, page on Apple Music

Love Distrokid app. Finally, I don’t have to use my desktop to upload my music or videos. This app has made our lives much easier and is a convenience. I love the Distrokid app.
