Best app on my phone!!!. I love the Cappuccino app so much!! It has allowed my best friend who lives in Germany and I to keep in contact with each other from across the sea!! Literally one of the best things I did was download this app so I can chit chat with my friend! The questions and games are so fun and the music they mix in between each recording makes it so fun and easy to listen to the app! I seriously LOVE this app so much!!! Thank you to the creators!!

Fun! Can’t wait to see updates!. So much fun to catch up with friends. Would love to see who listened to my recordings from the page with all the recordings, we could react to recordings if nothing to respond, and should be able to respond to multiple recordings at once, e.g. 2 recordings of the same prompt. The other suggestions with adjusting time etc. sound great too. Overall a great idea and LOVEEE the UI!!! Also, would like to add group picture to the group so when listening to the cappuccino on lock screen, it’s like an actual podcast. EDIT: LOVE the dancing cup when listening!!! i don’t know if that was there before but i see it now. ALSO THANK YOU FOR THE HEART REACTS!

My new favorite app. This is an amazing app. I have been struggling to find a binge worthy podcast for weeks but with this app the hosts are my friends! I wake up to updates, stories and advice served to me in a podcast format. I find myself using social media less because now I get my updates through my morning cappuccino. I do wish I could remove members from groups as easily as I can add them but it is still a 5 star app!

Could be big if allowed more user customization!. My friends and I started using this app and it has a lot of potential, but the lack of being able to choose certain things about our cappuccinos really turned us off from it. Not being able to choose the music was a big thing for my friend group personally, being able to customize the music (allowing our own music, making it easier to turn off the music) Choosing the times as well would’ve helped us to keep using the app longer. We are college students that usually stay up pretty late, so we would wake up in the afternoon not 7am, so making them available at our own custom time would’ve been nice! Lastly YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DELETE BEANS. Messing up a bean and accidentally sending it without being able to modify or delete is not great. Even an edit button would be nice! Overall I really like the concept and idea of this app but I think my friend group stopped using it because of the total lack of user control and customization. If it ever gets updated perhaps we’ll start using it again

Makes my morning great!. I’m someone who loves sleep and usually hates to wake up in the morning but now I look forward to it! Hearing my friends voices is the best way to start the day, especially during a pandemic where we are so isolated. Thanks for the great app! Edited this review after a few months. This is one of my favorite apps! I’ve been using it for months and it has been a lovely way to keep up with friends. Every little update makes it smoother and better.

Not enough drafting for beans. I really like the app so far but when I make a bean and try to send with no service/wifi obviously I’ll have to wait until I get service but the app holds the state that it was in when there was no service. This is a problem bc if I exit the app then I’ll lose the content I made and have to redo it. If there was a drafts page that saved the content I already made and just saved it on the phone until I could get a connection this would provide a much easier and more transparent way to send stuff to friends. This specific scenario has happened a couple times already having downloaded it 3 days ago.

I love it but…. I love this app, from the prompts to the music before the message to the addition of pictures. There is one thing I would think that would make me shout this app from the rooftops is that I wish you could comment on each bean minus the response voice message. Like type out comments. Kinda like soundcloud where you comment at a certain time stamp and the comment would show up when you reach that time stamp while listening to the bean. Please create a comment button somewhere app developers. im begging!

Fun app!. Me and my high school friends use this to connect with each other despite the long distance between us. It’s very enjoyable since we talk about mundane things that seem kind of boring to send a text about but easy to talk about. One thing I would love for the app to include is a comment section for each podcast since I don’t want to make a new voice memo for them to hear the next day about a small question or reaction I had. But otherwise, love the app!

So much fun, LOVE the app, want more functionality!. My friends and I absolutely love this app. It’s allowed us to keep in better touch with each other and also a great place for us to rant about random thoughts. One thing we all wish the app had was the ability to COMMENT on each other’s beans. Right now we’ve been going back and forth in the group chat trying to respond, but we would love to comment natively in the app. Sometimes a bean doesn’t require a fully recorded response, just a quick text response. This functionality would be amazing to include!

The best. This is an all time app, my only criticism is that some friends can’t handle the heat of recording daily beans. Also you should be able to see the likes, and I think my group is going to run out of games wb almost gone through them all. iPhone won’t show me the text of this review for some reason so I hope this is comprehensible. Overall I love cappucino

*Love* this app! However, some beans of wisdom 👇. I love this app so much! I started a group as a continuation of a group on Facebook called “Not Wasting My Twenties” and people seem to love the concept (myself included!). However, there are some things that would be great to improve on. Firstly, and maybe this is just me still learning about the app, why is it so hard to find groups and request to join? This limits the user greatly. Second, I would like to be able to choose the music that goes in the podcast just like I am able to choose a title picture. Third, I would like to be able to delete a bean if I want to. Otherwise, I really enjoy this app!

My friends and love but please help. My friends and I have a 45 day streak and we love the app it’s so much better than sending audio messages over text but PLEASE give us an option to have no time limit on the pods. We’re always sending 3-5 podcasts because we really just use it to talk to each other throughout the day. We don’t use the cappuccino podcast feature either so it would be sick if that could be optional. This app rocks though it’s made me feel so much closer to my friends. Also good marketing campaign on tiktok and if ur looking for more influencer I am passionate about cappuccino

Love this App!! But Cappuccino is released too late. I loooooove this app. Cute idea, amazing sound quality, and really brings people together. It sounds like a real podcast! My only complaint is that the cappuccinos are released too late. My friends and I are all already at work by 8am, meaning we have to wait a whole additional work day before getting to hear our friends reports from the day before! It would be much better if it was released between 6:30-7am so that we could listen while getting ready for the day or driving to work. 8am is just too late!

Great app but the flow of beans is confusing. Such a fun app but every time we share with new friends, we have to over-explain since it’s a little hard to follow when there’s too many prompts. Sometimes someone responds to a prompt late, meanwhile the others are already on the next prompt. If you listen to each bean card in order, it’s like 5 diff conversations that’s all over the place. It’s hard to follow which bean someone is responding to because it’s in a random order. It’d be great if the bean cards flow better almost like a conversation, that way it seems continuous? What if there’s an option to have multiple stacks of card beans for each group? So one stack for each prompt almost like a folder. You can choose which prompt/stack to respond to. That way it’s more organized and you know what the theme of the conversation is in that stack. Otherwise, such a good app!! Excited to see how this app progresses 🙏🙏

Great Way to stay connected. I recently started using Cappuccino as my wife and I moved to Canada and our three adult children stayed in Arizona. It’s been a great way to stay connected on a daily basis without having to send more texts or more phone calls. We are having a lot of fun with it and personalities come through on the beans and again great way to stay connected from a far. I highly recommend this app for people who are in our situation or who just wanna keep up on a daily basis with those they’re closest to.

IM IN LOVE (one thing tho). I. AM. IN. LOVE. It’s official! Me and my friends have had such a blast on this app! We’ve been able to laugh at each other’s answers and even get to know each other even better. The only thing I could possibly want is I would love if the group creator could select the time that their daily cappuccino would be ready! I always wished I could make the time 7am instead of 8 so that I could listen to our podcast while I’m getting ready for school! But alas, I have to wait until school is over 😢. I think that would be a nice feature to have. But other than that I love love love the functionality and fun this app has to offer. Kudos to all of you! ❤️ ❤️

A new way of interacting through vocal messages!. I am using this app everyday to connect with my friends and I love it! It’s more intuitive and natural to send vocal messages with Cappuccino, and is a great alternative to text/sms. I feel you can share your thoughts more easily this way and it makes me want to connect with my friends even more today. I can even make my friends listen to my dog’s barking, thanks Cappuccino!

Lost its spark. I mean it was cool at first, but the paywalls kinda take away from the whole experience from me. I would much rather have a bunch of ads than be told I can’t even listen to my own audio unless I buy a premium version??? Or that I can’t revisit my memories until I pay a monthly subscription???? It just takes a lot of fun out of it for me when everything I used to do for free now has a paywall up. I’d definitely still use to app if it had ads instead of a subscription based method but it’s not really something I care enough to pay for at the end of the day. Great app but only being able to make one recording one day and getting a 24 hour timer to listen to it rubbed me the wrong way 😕

Love this app. This app is great for staying in touch with friends! I’ve made listening to the cappuccino and recording beans part of my daily routine and it has helped me feel more connected with my long distance friends!! 😊 It is so cute and fun and I love the little games and prompts. While there are certainly many things that could be improved and are in the process of improving this app services it’s purpose by far. Super fun and cute way to stay connected!!

Fun App! I Have Some Suggestions. so this app is so fun and i love using it (the music that is automatically played at the beginning and end of the podcast is the BEST) but i would love it if you could customize it a little more and have longer shows as well. Also, i would love if we could change the time because 8 am is too late for me and my friends because we go to school at 6 am and we would love to listen to our podcasts at that time. also, i would love it if we were able to record with other people as well and save it in a folder. i would love that. overall, great app!

Perfect app to stay in touch. Cappuccino has allowed my closest friends and I to stay in touch during the pandemic. We are all in different states now, and hearing their day-to-day happenings through “beans” has been instrumental in us staying in touch on a deeper level than just occasional calls. The app is fun, easy to understand, and well-designed. Highly recommend to anyone who needs a way to stay in touch with good friends!

Love it. My friends from college have been using this app for months and we love being able to stay in touch and hear stories about each other lives that we would not otherwise know because we moved all over the country. The app is a little buggy but easy to use and it brings all of us so much joy being able to hear each others voices everyday!

I still love it but the paywall is tough. I will continue using it for now because it’s a great way for me and my long distance friend groups to keep up. I never minded the daily drop; we have a group chat for more urgent matters. However paying for history is really unfortunate because listening to memories is one of the best features. One of my friends just came back from vacation to find out she can’t listen to any of our past beans. I understand paying for everything else but give us our history back. Plus, I would recommend revisiting your pay structure. $5 a week or $10 a month is a lot of money for an app that has pretty much one purpose that could be swapped with voice messages in a group chat. I would pay $30 a year.

Fun podcast for close friends!!. I’m only on day 2 but I think it’s a fun social app to talk to your friends about everything and nothing. I like it for my semi-long distance friends. I would however suggest a little more instruction when starting. What is the first bean supposed to be like?? If it said like “intro the group” or sthg that would be helpful. And overall just a bit more instruction on the games and how to get started.

Great app!. My friends and I love using this app! The reason I gave it 4 stars was for a suggestion with an issue my friend had- she got locked out of her account and couldn’t access client support anywhere, and she ended up having to create a new account using a different number.. so we were thinking maybe checking your emails/dms/etc. more or just making it clearer on how to reach out to you and get in contact with support. I don’t mean this harshly, it seems like an easy fix! Other than that this app is awesome!

I LOVE IT!!!. I saw a tiktok about this and didn’t think much about it, but decided to download it and try something new. Knowing myself I pause a lot when I try to record audios so I was so glad when I saw the pause button. It’s so much smoother and faster and sounds so much better when I record beans now. The idea of beans in the capuchino is so cute and unique to anything I’ve seen before. The little mugs you get from streaks and beans recorded are also such a cute feature. You do need a phone number to make an account which is required was my only difficulty because I wanted my younger sister to join. I love how you can make groups and also talk privately with your friends. The games and questions you can prompt to your friends are such cool features and I definitely shared this app to all of my friends. I 110% recommend getting this app with your friends it’s so fun! So glad I saw that tiktok.

Fun concept could be improved. Love the idea! Would be great if we could delete beans. Also if there was something along the lines of a bean editing studio where we could prepare beans, choose background music, and save them before choosing to send or not send for the next day’s cappuccino. Q and A page would be helpful as well. Had to figure out through trial and error if we could create multiple beans per day.

Helped me grow closer to friends!. This app is great! It’s helped me talk more and grow closer to my friends. I love that there’s no ads as well, I really appreciate it! If you have a donation page I’d love to send you a tip so that you can keep the app ad-free. I know the development team is probably small, but if it’s not too much trouble I’d love the ability to maybe add sound effects in future updates! Or some basic editing capabilities, where you can trim your bean and re-record if you mess up halfway through.

I’m in love. I don’t ever write app reviews but I love this app. Me and my college friends have been doing this for only a few days but we love it. It’s so nice to be able to hear their voices every morning and makes me feel more connected to them even though we are far away. I am a horrible texter and was so worried about our friendship over the summer but now I feel like it’s only going to get stronger

Cute but needs work. I wish this was more of a podcast in the true sense of the word. Like if we could be online together and record a bean together that would be so cute. Like responding to a prompt together or just talk. I also wish we could save the beans. I don’t want to lose them. Like if we could choose which we want to keep in an archive or something that would be really helpful. Another thing would be I wish i could change the music or get rid of it. Sometimes it doesn’t really match what we’re talking about or feeling. It’s a cute app but I wish it was more customizable to what we want it to be for.

Such a cute way to stay connected!. I love this app and have been using it for a few friend groups! It’s a great low effort way to stay connected when everyone is busy and in different places. Some suggestions for additional features: I would love if there was a simple chat so that you could reply to friends’ beans in the morning and address something they said. I also would like to be able to archive beans (similar to Snapchat maybe, where you can choose to save a bean so that it won’t disappear forever, and the other person can see it too?). Overall though, love the app!

Podcasts R Us. First review ever but just wanted to say I’m really enjoying the app so far. There’s no lag and I like the music added automatically that gives the more podcast feel. I just wish that you didn’t have to manually unlock “beans” (what the individual audio messages are named) and they would play automatically. Also if there was a way to condense all the beans in a group chat to keep things more organized I read that this was already implemented in a previous update but removed in a later one.

Luv ! but have some suggestions. This app has been really fun and has brought my friends and I together. However, my friends and I have agreed on some suggestions that would improve the app: -we wish the order of our beans could be scrambled so you wouldn’t hear the same person back to back -we want to be able to react to beans while they’re playing. Right now they stop playing when you go to react and it interrupts the flow! -we would love if we could insert our own intro / outro music or at least pick from a pre- selected list

Better than Starbucks. I’ve been using Cappuccino with two different friend groups for the last few weeks and it’s been incredible to see how much it has brought us together. Cheesy to say, but it’s true. The beautifully simple UI is non-addictive and allows people to connect with very minimal effort. I originally thought there would be a novelty effect, but my friends have been highly engaged this whole time. True testament to the product. Thanks!

Book club turned podcast. When the pandemic started my high school and college friends and I started a book club where we connected each week on zoom - truthfully most of our discussions were about our personal lives than the content of the book! We have been using cappuccino for a few months now and every day our friend post cast is usually around 30-60mins - and it is such a wonderful way to stay in touch and hear everyone’s voices! We love this app!!!

Lifesaver for International Friendships!!. This app helped so much with my post graduation blues, as my bffs and I moved across the world (some of us even to different countries)! Our group has a streak of 151 days going, and we think this app is fantastic! It’s a bit confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, it’s so effective at keeping you in touch with your favorite people! My only wish is that you’d be able to choose to put the audio recordings at various speeds, like a real podcast. Sometimes, my friends and I have Cappuccinos that are 40 minutes long, and so this feature would be so helpful in that scenario! Either way, I don’t think you will regret getting this app. It’s amazing for keeping you connected :)!

Great Concept But Costs Too Much. This is such a cute app and great concept. The only drawback is the price. $5 a week and even $10 a month is too expensive. I recommend switching to a base free, no frills version that lets you join and create groups and a paid membership that gives access to exclusive backgrounds, music and stickers for reactions. Increasing the price of using the app to allow for more feature development doesn’t help its current users as much as prohibit new ones. Your app is great and I want to share it with more friends but the price point isn’t feasible for everyone. Please consider a free version that still allows us to send cappuccinos🙏

Cool app but the new update is annoying. This app is so unique and I really love recording them with my friends! I've been enjoying it for a few weeks now but the most recent update completely changed the look of it. I really don't like how the beans are separated into individual ones and you have to swipe through to listen to each one. It's overwhelming and inconvenient, since I can't tell which ones I've listened to already. I wish there was a date and timestamp for each one so I can know which ones are another day and the estimate length of the cappuccino today. I also wish there was a rewind option just to go a few seconds back.

Best app for long distance friends. my best friends and i graduated college in May 2020 and we were all separated because of the pandemic. We still stay in touch of course but one of them discovered this app on tik tok! Cappuccino is such an amazing app for my best friends and i to stay connected but in such a fun way! Love waking up by listening to what my friends the night before and continue/start a new convo. 20/10 recommend for anyone including long distance friends!

I’m a long time user but can’t justify premium. I have been using cappuccino with my long distance friends for a few years now, and it’s great! Recently they created a premium version which I was going to pay because I want to support the app, however I saw the prices and can’t justify it. $5/week is $260/year and $10/week is $120/year. That’s more than I pay for apps with several tools and features. And instead of adding valuable features besides prompts (my friends and I make our own for free) they put things we already use behind a paywall. I don’t like the feeling of being forced into premium by taking away things we’re used to. I’m currently looking for another app or going back to Snapchat, but will use the free version for a little longer. Edit: If Cappuccino had plans to release new, actually premium features, I would be down to support. As of now, being able to access prompts and listen to week old audio is basic and I’d pay $35-$60/year just to show support because I do enjoy the app, but not because premium is worth it. It seems like it would be a better move to pivot your marketing and present actual premium features to a paying audience. I’ll email y’all for sure!

Premium made it trash. This app used to be great but now they introduced a premium version and instead of ADDING things to the premium they just REMOVED features you already had and were using. You can’t access old messages anymore and the worst offense is you can’t unlock messages same day. My friend that lives in a different state and I would use this every day to catch up in real time but now with this new feature we’d be listening a day behind. No more back and forth messages. Why would I pay money for something I can do on voice notes for free? Will be removing app and using voice notes until a similar app is found.

Love! And suggestion. Hello! Me and my group of friends as well as my boyfriend love using this app because we lead very busy lives and it offers a fun way to connect, catch-up with, and talk to each other whenever we get the chance. The only thing I would change/add would be to have at least 10 minutes (or better yet - unlimited time) to talk because with three minutes you either have to give a broad quick summary of what you’re talking about or send multiple “beans” in a row and spam your group-members notifications. That’s all, thank you!

Love it. I saw it on tiktok and thought about my best friends both of them are in different parts of the world 🇬🇧🇪🇸and due to the time difference we cannot talk daily or as much as I would like, this app is the bomb because not only I can update my friends on my life but I also have prompts that get to know more of them. What I would like is to add videos, I don’t know if that’s some thing that is already added and I don’t know how to use it but that’s something very useful. Great job!!!!!!

I have suggestions but cool app overall!. This is a great well-made app especially since it’s new. However, when I got this app I thought I was going to be able to make actual podcast with friends being on the same recording as me. But since it isn’t that way I think it would be awesome to have it where you can have unlimited minutes to record and make a group podcast where you can go back and listen to it. I really like how the music plays in the background of the podcast, makes it seem very professional!

Great app and concept, hoping for updates!. I love the app so far, I love the concept! I’m moving away from my friends so this is a wonderful idea to keep in touch in a cute way, and we’re already making use of it!! I think a few suggestions other people mentioned (allowing more customization for when Capps. Are ready even though you can technically unlock it whenever, allowing you to choose theme music or even upload your own theme music, and lengthening the time) would take this app to the top. Overall it’s been fun, more customization would make it amazing!

Cappuccino Vibrations. Is there a way to turn off the vibrations when we receive cappuccinos? I understand the concept that it’s trying to mimic the sound and feeling of grinding beans and making coffee but it’s extremely unsettling. The sound and vibrations last way too long. I can’t seem to find the settings to allow me to disable this feature. I don’t want to experience it everyday! It honestly makes me dread opening up the app. I close it to stop the vibrations but it doesn’t stop when I open it back up. I’m enjoying the concept so far to stay connected with my friends, but I wish I could respond to their beans with comments as well instead of only replying with recorded beans.

Cappachino. This App is a wonderful way to keep in touch with family. The members of the main are my two daughters, and three of my grandchildren. We try to make sure at least one of the five of us records each day so we can continue our “streak”, now at about 450. I love starting each day by hearing from my family and seeing the pictures they post.

Wish we could record one bean throughout the day.. Only been using it for a few days but it’s so fun! It’s like getting a postcard from a friend every morning. My only suggestion is to allow a bean to be added to. I’ll record 30 seconds in the morning and some short ones throughout the day and it’s kind of annoying to have to listen to the intro and outro music around every 8 second clip.

More editing capabilities. I don’t need much. I just wish I could pause and add to one recording without having to re-record. I sometimes struggle over words and I’d rather pause and take a beat than either have a huge silence/re-recording till I get it right. Also being able to choose the music would be nice. To be able to fit the mood of the “stories” you’re sharing. Other than that I really enjoy the app and the format! My friends and I use it to give each other updates or to just info dump to someone and we really enjoy it other than the aforementioned things

Not Enough Time!!. I really do love this app, my ONLY complaint is not being able to take longer recordings. Snapchat has a 10 minute limit, so it makes more sense to just send an audio message there or through more popular apps like messenger and whatsapp. I feel like if there was a 1 hour limit (true to podcast standards) people would have the option to tell longer stories. I had to send 10 beans just to tell 1 story from start to finish, and it definitely made me and my friends want to find an alternative. This app is so cute and user friendly, the only downfall in my opinion is the 3 minute limit.

Not useful. Downloaded this app as i thought it would be a good way to send long messages to my long distance friends. 3 minutes is rather short to advertise yourself as a podcast for your friends app. There isn’t much use to this app if you have messenger or WhatsApp.

Broken notifications. Love this app but I have stopped receiving notifications when my friends record new beans or to listen to cappuccinos in the morning

Great app, Easy use. This app caught my attention when I saw that you record mini ‘Podcasts’ where you can listen to your OWN FRIENDS mini podcast! It’s a mix between Snapchat and Spotify, and I would really recommend it. If I could change one thing, I would give the option to sign up with email. Overall 4 stars.

Ideal for long distance friend. This app is so good for staying in the loop with your friends lives who yard just so far away. There’s also no reply factor so for people such as myself I don’t get overwhelmed by having to respond to everything. Love it

Crazy price for premium. It would be stupid to pay $15 per month for this service when Disney+ is only $13 per month. I am happy to pay up to $7 per month for new premium features but to expect $15 by simply hiding old features behind a paywall is disgusting.

Good app - but recordings are sometimes lost. This app is good and fun to use - but the absolute worst feature of it is how easy it is to lose your recording. If you get a phone call or a timer/alarm goes off (at least on ios) - your recording is gone. Not just stopped (so you can still send it) but as if it were never recorded. This has been surprisingly a big issue for my podcast group - really disheartening when you’re seconds away from finishing and someone calls unexpectedly.

It’s good. I would love if there was an option to save all the audios that you make, and not have to send them to people in order to save them. I also think the audios should be saved permanently if we want them to, without them disappearing. None of my friends have the app yet but I would love to have the option of saving these just for me.

They ruined it. It was a fantastic app until they changed it and now the concept of it sucks!!!!!! It’s confusing and almost unusable now. I have been using this app for hours everyday but now me and my friends are going to stop due to this change. I hope they put it back to how it was but if not they have lost a app user forever.

the background music is annoying. i really like the app 🥺 but the background music makes me wanna unalive myself 🤧🔫

Needs So Many Features. I love the concept of the app, but it is lacking in a lot of basic features. Notification customization would be great; I don't need a notif every time someone likes a bean, but I still want them for other things like replies. Choosing the music (or no music even) would be great too. It kind of ruins the mood when there's upbeat jazz in the background of a serious topic

Not bad. The app is very good in general but I wish they would combust all the videos into one square without the need to school and we do a new topic it make a new square. I also hope they add at pause and forward and rewind without making it start over But the app works very well and doesn’t time you out and theirs no ads :)

Should’ve left it as is. This was a great app before they went and made all these changes that were unnecessary… It’s a shame because we were really enjoying using it amongst our group of 5 friends, plus other separate groups. Hopefully they’ll continue to make changes to return the app to a wonderful way but if not we will no longer use it as there’s many sources out there where you can share audio messages. Delightful. My friends and I are separated by multiple time zones. Hearing from them in this app like this is great for keeping our connection alive

No background music?. Is there a way to remove the background music playing? I find it hard to hear the podcast my friend records on it!

Awkward. Very cute. Would have kept using it with friends if the layout of recordings were more organized. The current layout is very confusing when you have to scroll all the way to the end every time a new “bean” is added. The unlocking new “beans” is awkward too. Would also suggest an option to remove background music.

Amazing app. This is such a wonderful app, I’m so grateful it’s free! My friends and I are all super busy with work these days, and we love using this app to catch up with one another in “bite-sized” ways. The prompts they offer up are so cute too!! Background music. I love the app it’s sooo great!! My only problem is that I can’t change or turn off the background music. But, other than that it’s a great app

Almost there!. In love with this concept! The prompts are really nice and I love that music gets edited in. Only problem I have is that the app layout doesn’t feel user friendly. I don’t know, maybe I’m too old for this app but I want it to feel more like Spotify but with a recording option. Idk. Cute app. Lots of fun!

Use. I wish you could use the app even if you don’t have a phone number. I wish we could just make accounts some other way because I can’t even use the app

There is potential. This app would be so much fun if the layout wasn’t so complicated. I feel like there are too many options for no reason. Everytime it’s a challenge to find where to record, and then it appears double in the group. The time restriction also feels weird-if I record someting during the day my friends can’t listen to it until the next day, and then I have to wait another day to listen to their replies.

Not Free Anymore. Suddenly you have to pay !??? Been using the app for almost 300 days with my best friend and we really loved it but now everything is restricted and you have to pay premium in order to listen to older podcasts and more. No warning no nothing and now we have 1+ month worth of podcasts completely lost. Implementing premium is the worst thing they could do im so disappointed.

Adorable and so fun!. I love this app! It’s perfect for my friends and I who are scattered across time zones but still want to hear each other’s voices. Looking at past reviews I can tell the developers are continuing to develop this app and make it as smooth as possible, and it is absolutely working! I can’t wait to see where this ends up, but it’s delightful as is!

Mmm. Love the idea of this app. My sister and I love across the country, in different time zones. We send voice messages back and forth and then we found this app. Unfortunately when I record one in the car, it doesn’t work, it says it’s recording but once posted, it’s only background music (which you can’t chose). It also has a 3 minute limit to talk, which sometimes isn’t long enough.

Suggestion. I think the concept of the app is absolute amazing. However, it seems as though each cappuccino is the start of a new “thread” if you will. So why not collect all of the responses to that thread as one folder, so that way if you were to go back and play it. It’s just play continuous with the responses as if it’s an actual podcast. Feel me?

Why the time limit? Why pay premium?. I enjoy this app, because it allows me to connect with my friends and catch up. But I don’t enjoy having to wait 3 hours in order to listen to their bean, nor do I enjoy having to pay premium for an app that should just be for fun. I understand money must be made, but an app such as this, should be free or the time limit should be lowered. This app may be a therapy for some, and having to wait for someone to respond can be upsetting. I hope this helps.

Love!. I’ve probably been using this app for about a year — I’m a terrible texter, so having this convenient way to update my friends about my life and hear about theirs is PERFECT. The app sometimes glitches but I honestly don’t care - the totally new approach to keeping up with my friends it totally worth it.

Great app with a lot of potential. I have two groups that I’m a part of currently, one where I am an admin and another where I am just a member. From both perspectives it’s very fun and easy to use. A couple of changes I would recommend: 1. Being able to delete beans. 2. Being able to change group names as an admin. 3. More options to limit user access, I believe it should be up to the admin to allow/dis-allow users to listen to cappuccinos immediately after they are posted. Kinda ruins the fun when some people have listened and some haven’t. Otherwise, I love this app!

Amazing!. Cappuccino is a refreshing way to communicate and a really great way to stay connected with friends or family you don’t live close to anymore. I hear great updates and stories from my friends that are all the more meaningful because we hear each other’s voices. What a lovely app and so much fun!

Fun! I wish it had some additional features though. It’s really cute and easy to use and fun to hear clips from friends! There’s a few things that would be nice to include! - Notifications settings? For some reason I only get notified when the creator of a group shares a bean. I don’t get notifications for anyone else in the group - Ability to comment on/under a bean - Ability to delete a bean - Ability to skip forward/rewind through a bean I love that it adds music for the intro and outro and that they blend together smoothly when playing the next bean. I like how you can add a picture to the cover too. Good job on the app and congrats on the success with it!

Like the new update. I like the new update that includes the ability to comment and react to beans. An improvement I think would be able to comment in real time and see the comments on the beans in real time as well. I always feel like acknowledging the points while I’m listening but the pause to do that is inconvenient

Please give back history. This is such a money grab and super disappointing. Not being able to go back more than 3 days is crazy. I understand if you made new features and put a paywall… but to just take away one of the few good features of the app for people who have been using it loyally…. Is extremely disappointing. If you couldn’t go back 2 weeks I understand but if you miss one weekend or something for vacation you’re suddenly cut off from everything your friends said. I’m very disappointed

Great App, Notifications Won’t Go Away. Anytime I record a bean answering a question, the app will have a nonstop notification that wants me to… respond to my own bean. So annoying, I can’t make it go away. It only goes away when the next cappuccino is ready. Also, the music is annoying.

Please don’t ever go away cappuccino!. My college girlfriends and I are spread out over the globe and we’ve been using this every day for ver two years. I would be devastated if it ever went away, it’s helped us stay connected and brings so much joy daily, I’m eternally grateful!

New paywall takes away from overall experience. My friends and I use this app religiously and the new paywall is a huge bummer. Taking away the ability to go back and listen to previous recordings unless you pay really kills the overall value of this app. If it isn’t already ingrained into your friend group, just stick to voice memos in a group chat.

Has brought so much joy and connection!!. This app has allowed me to keep in touch with my very good long distance friends for the last two years. 🥲 I love it so much and think it’s the best “social media” because it’s actually social. So amazing and hope it keeps growing!!!

Love it!. I love this app sm — the layout is kinda confusing at first but it’s pretty unique compared to other social medias. I overall like the design and I love the personal connection I get with my friends now that they’re gone for college cause I can hear their stories that they would’ve told me in person. I really love it overall!

This app is Wonderful!. I love everything about this app. it makes my morning commutes so much happier when i hear my friends voices. The only issue i have is that there is no clear notification bar. Another thing I noticed is that you cant react to other peoples responses with likes or anything and i think that would be awesome to try!

Used to love it, but now?. Don’t get me wrong, a year ago this app was FANTASTIC! I loved it! After we stopped using it for a while, I deleted it. Recently wanted to get back into it, and now I can’t do anything 😭 I’m stuck behind a steep paywall, and it won’t even let me create one group (i don’t have any current groups rn). I wanted to reuse and love this app once again, but I don’t know if i can justify $10 a month for it 😭

So happy with the app!. I LOVE cappuccino! It feels so exciting to have easy access to friends and family and to be able to share our day or stories with each other. This genuinely helped me through really bad bouts of depression and I’m so thankful for this platform. Couldn’t recommend enough…

Keeping bean history behind a paywall ruins it. Not being able to listen to beans more than a few days old really takes away the fun and value of the app for me and my friends. The whole beauty of the app was getting to catch up with friends you don’t always have time to, and now it’s made it so that if you don’t have time, your friends may record hours of beans only to never be heard. Feels really harsh :(

Awful music. The app is great my only complaint is the automatic music that plays at the beginning of every recording you make. It’s so annoying and I really wish you could change the music or be able to turn it off, this would make me use the app a lot more.

Perfect for long-distance friendships. My friends and I have been using this since early 2022 every single day. It has brought us so much closer as a friend group to hear what’s going on in eachothers lives every day. I will forever cherish what this app has done for us!!

Cappuccino Premium?. Seriously? My friends and I have loved and used this app for almost a year. But restricting some of these features is ridiculous. Not being able to delete unreleased beans, okay sure. But not being able to listen to our old memories? This app helped us stay connected during college, but these paywalls are taking the sentimentality away.

How I survived 2020. Absolutely love this app. Hands down my favorite new app in years. This has been a wonderful way to connect with my good friends and family and everyone I’ve shared it with has felt the same. I’ve got two main groups: one group of six long time friends, and one group of six first cousins. We’ve loved it. The best thing about this? Quiet voices are heard just as readily as the loud mouths. No one can get interrupted. Are you super sick of zoom happy hours??? Everyone trying to talk at the same time? Download this app! It’s a breath of fresh air. Are you tired of social media? Or maybe you still love social media (not me). This app is fantastic.

The app is good but you need friends who want to also. The app is very easy to use and I love it. I got it because my best friend and I want to start a podcast but turns out she doesn’t want to put in the effort to press a record button. My best friend got the app and didn’t use it once before she deleted it.

I can’t change my icon with all the bugs.. The app hasn’t let me set an icon or do anything past joining a group since I downloaded it. I’ve sent multiple emails about it, and reported the bugs multiple times. It’s really annoying that I can’t do the most simple thing in the app because of an error. It would be great if it could either be fixed or at the very least my feedback could be acknowledged and replied to.

Great app but very buggy. Love the app. There are a lot of bugs that need to be addressed. The biggest of all is the battery drain. When using this app on a 13 pro, the phone gets extremely hot. I can’t imagine what a audio app is doing to cause the processor to get so hot and therefore use so much power? Please address this soon! I loose 10% of my battery for only 20 ish mins of use a day..

YES. My friend found this app via tiktok and my friends and I LOVE IT!! It’s so fun and a great way to keep up with friends across the country/globe. Of course it’s a baby app and could always have some improvements (which I probably annoy the developers with sending all the time 😭) like maybe grouping responses for one prompt?? but an awesome concept and awesome app ((:

Not the same…. My friends and I have been using this for such a long time. Not being able to unlock beans when you want is a total downer (not being able to respond in a timely manner…). One of my friends said, “the best time for me to listen is the morning before work (before 8). So now, the beans I listen to will be old and my responses will be less relevant “. Trying to find a substitute app that works similarly…..

LOVE LOVE!!. this app is so cute and a great idea to stay in touch with friends and family, especially when everyone is so busy. Plus, now during COVID times, i haven’t seen lots of friend for a long time so it’s a nice way to stay in touch daily. The only thing I wish is that you could skip forward and backward in the recording. And that it will send you a little reminder about whether or not you have sent a bean that day! Other than that, it’s great!!

add comments features. love this app! found it through tiktok and used it to stay in touch with my hs friends while in college. I really wish there was an added feature to comment on each of my friends ‘cappucino beans’ and we can make conversations or comment on what they talked about. if i wanted to respond to their story, i have to open a separate messenger app which is inconvenient.

GREAT for Long Distance Friendships. I think this is SUCH a cute idea and designed so well for a smooth experience! I just wish that there was a clearer indication for people to respond to a prompt, like “check out x’s response, now it’s your turn!” Kind of thing bc it doesn’t seem clear to everyone if they should respond to same prompt or wait for a new one

So disappointed by the premium.. I LOVED cappuccino. My friends and I used it all the time, and it was so special since we’re all about to head out to college. Now, because of the premium, you’re only able to record one 3 minute podcast instead of many. This was so disappointing, and I don’t see myself using the app as often anymore. I would’ve rated 5 stars before- but now I won’t think I can do that 😭

Would be PERFECT if it had these updates!!. This app is one of the cutest and coolest ideas I’ve came across, but I really wish users could have more control over the music!! The options of no music, or being able to pick your own bgm would really help better the user experience. Love love love the idea and animations!!

Love but.... I LOVE this so much the concept is awesome. However, my friend and I tend to talk ALOT and you can only record one “bean” at a time and each bean has a 3 minute time limit. I wish the app had the option to change the time limit, maybe up to 15 minutes? It is a podcast style app so we should be able to record each bean for a good amount of time.

Great stuff. My friends and I don’t see each other often and want to stay in touch without obnoxiously blowing up the phone with texts. This was a great alternative. It’s a great way to stay in touch and keep up with each other!

My favorite app currently!. I genuinely really enjoy using this app. Not only is it helping me keep up with friends that I’m not able to see all the time, but it just feels so therapeutic to rant about or respond to questions on there. The whole little concept about each voice message being little “coffee beans” is really cute too!

Really cool idea. I like the idea of connecting with your friends through daily vlogs. Its a really cool way to keep updated on the little things in each others lives. App is easy to use 10/10 would recommend.

This app is really great to interact with friends and just to document fun moment throughout the day i only rate it 9/10 instead of 10/10 because i wish it was possible to just send pictures with text instead of having to record but theres an easy workaround for it🙂 very easy to use and figure out

Podcast by friends!!. LOVE IT. Listening to my friends voice in the morning with awesome coffee shop music in the background was the best way to start the day, esp during this plague lock down! I use this app with friends I talk to everyday and friends I should talk to more often - its been an amazing way to keep in touch with my friends and talk about stuff I wouldn’t otherwise on chat apps!

Awesome little app. I love this app! it’s a great way to stay in touch with long distance friends or friends you can’t see due to COVID. This app has sparked a lot of great conversation that wouldn’t have happened otherwise and has helped us all grow closer.

Cool app missing features. Cool idea. Like so many other reviews from the past year plus, I’m mostly sad about the lack of music control. I can choose to turn off the background music when I download a bean (or even choose which built-in background music to use), but not when sending to my in-app groups. Hard to perfect my Serial spoof with jazzy background music.

Great way to stay connected. I just wanted to say how awesome this app is especially during these times. My college friends and I have been creating cappuccinos every day for the past month. It sure has been so nice to catch up with them since it’s been four years since we graduated and now are spread throughout the US. I love starting my mornings with this app.

Potential to be super big with some small changes. 1) music customization 2) allow users to change the speed they listen at (like a real podcast) 3) change formatting to make it easier to navigate through past beans (not fun to have to scroll, scroll, scroll to try to find one from a few weeks ago) 4) give labels to the buttons (took me forever to figure out the microphone with the reverse arrow is a “reply” not “rewind 10 seconds” like on most podcast apps) 5) incorporate “rewind / fast forward 10 seconds” buttons

Picture cropping. So great fun and cute but can you please make when you add a picture to the background the crop square a rectangle instead so you can actually fit the picture you want to size and know what it will look like this is really bothering me thank you

Loved this app but then it stopped working. This app was very very fun and a great way to keep in touch with people that are far away. I used it with my boyfriend long distance for a couple weeks but then The app started malfunctioning and we could only hear the first one minute of the three minute voice recording. Very disappointing because it was fun for the one week that it was working. :(

Lovin it. Ok, OOOKKK I love this app. I have always wanted to do a podcast and this app has helped me get out of my comfort zone and practice my communication skills! I have created my first group today and it's amazing! I do wish that instead of 3 minutes it could be like 6-10 minutes. Because I try to talk fast but it's still a little difficult finishing in 3. But overall I am satisfied with the app! Can't wait to keep using it!
