SatSquatch App Description & Overview
What is satsquatch app? WARNING: SatSquatch will use large amounts of data, especially when animating loops. WiFi or unlimited data plan is recommended for heavy use.
SatSquatch is a tool designed for weather professionals and enthusiasts looking to display imagery from the GOES weather satellites (GOES-16 & GOES-17) in a user-friendly and responsive interface.
The base version of SatSquatch allows access to all available base satellite layers (full list below) as well as custom derived products such as true color or visible/infrared composite layers. The application also allows users to loop through up to 50 images and toggle overlays for their location, state borders, country borders, major highways, SPC outlook, etc.
Upgrade to SatSquatch Pro (4.99/mo, 7-day free trial) to overlay vital meteorological information such as METARs, temperature contours, or derived quantities such as convective available potential energy (CAPE) from our custom mesoanalysis. Our mesoanalysis updates at a high frequency (every 15 minutes) and at a fine resolution (grid spacing of ~3km).

Amazing. What an amazing satellite viewer. Wish the would make the mslp and all contour labels easier to read.
Great when it works. Running latest iOS and the app keeps having issues. The only way to fix it seems to be deleting it constantly and reinstalling. Support team says they are unable to fix. I inquired about refund and didn’t seem to get a reply unless I missed it. Again- great app when it works- but it hardly works for me.
Minor issues. This app is fantastic. I’ve only had 2 minor issues that have been constant. First is if I’ve had the app already open and it resets in the background and I go back to it, it will give me a data error when trying to choose anything. Closing the app completely and reopening solves this. Also I’m still not able to have my pro subscription crossover to another device (both iOS.) aside from those 2 small things this so far is amazing.
Great App and Suggestion to make Better. This app is great. It is so nice to have a satellite dedicated app. Been using Weather.cod in Safari for GOES and must say SatSquatch is much more mobile friendly. I’d really love to see a 500mb height & wind layer added to Mesoanalysis. Also would like to see GOES GLM added in the future.
Belongs in every chasers/wx enthusiasts toolkit!. Ever since the update some months back, this all has worked flawlessly for me. Can't beat it for a mobile GOES/mesoanalysis experience!

Great for viewing Goes 16. Come on app developers fix the problem so Goes 17 data works, kinda a waste of money for anyone living along the west coast.
