Updating is garbage. I have had LG tones for years! I’ve had these tones for over a year now and I enjoy them and use them more than my AirPods. Sound quality, noise canceling, and comfort is way better than my AirPods. However… it is absolute GARBAGE to try and update them. The app ABSOLUTELY must stay active! Heaven forbid you actually need to use the phone in the 2.5 HOURS it took to even get 20% done with the download. I’ve just resigned myself that I will not be able to update my tones and that this will likely be my last LG product.

I don’t quite know why everyone rates this as poorly as they do.. Granted, I haven’t used this app for less than ten minutes, but I took a quick glance at all of the controls and the general design of the app, and it does exactly what it sets out to do. I do enjoy the simplistic nature of the controls; and I didn’t even know there was an app for my LG Tones to begin with.

Garbage on an iPhone 14 pro max. The app doesn’t even load the second time you open it up. And the one time I got it to actually open and connect to the earbuds I couldn’t change a thing. It worked ok-ish on my iPhone 12 pro max. Opening and closing the app would fix any issues. Or reconnecting helped. But with an iPhone 14 it’s just trash. I reinstalled it 3-4 times to see if that would fix the issue but it hasn’t. The earbuds connect and work. It’s just the app that doesn’t work. So if I wanted to change the button functions or switch to different listening modes I can’t. Complete waste of time. Why don’t you read the comments and listen to our issues and fix the problems.

LG PLEASE FIX THIS DUMPSTER FIRE. App launched once and never again. Honestly the headphones are nice but don’t I mean don’t ever push an app for such an important product that does not work. Basically feels like I’ve wasted my money on this hunk of plastic. I will change my review accordingly once this is fixed. LG if you want some dang help why don’t I send me resume over and this dumpster fire can be put out faster then I want to return these. I also want to add there’s a weird static noise on my iPad 6th gen no matter the EQ I choose but on my iPhone 13 no issues. This should also be addressed please.

App doesn’t work with iOS. Comfortable to wear but sound quality is a bit off. I was encouraged by the (stated) ability to use the equalizer in the app to adjust the sound but the app does not work with my iOS product. Also, very slow to connect to Bluetooth, and this action (Bluetooth connection) must be performed with each use! This item is going back!!

Never had issues. I’ve had these about a year and never had issues with my iPhone 11. Not sure what all the negative reviews are all about.

APP is useless. Bought this Nov 2021 and even after seeing all the low ratings I still downloaded it. The others were right. This app does zero and I’m surprised how long LG has let this go on for. The ear buds are great but was looking for forward to using the app for additional setting adjustments. I keep tapping the different equalizer buttons and nothing. I searched for updates and it keeps searching. I don’t get it. Spent all this money for a reason LG. Get with the program and please fix. This is terrible.

Update! Finally. I felt like I had to come back and leave a new review. They had a new update that now let’s you use the app with iPhone YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE THE NAME OF THE HEADPHONES IS THE ORIGINAL NAME “LG-TONE-FP9” etc.. ! I’m glad I can finally get the full experience I paid for. Happy enough not to give praise but to accept this update as an apology for the super inconvenience the app was before.

How to use. NOTE: On first usage you MUST connect the LG buds with them inside the charging case with the lid open in order for the app to fully recognize them. If not, go to Bluetooth settings and Forget Device on the buds and try again. If it works, the LG Tone app will show the charging case as well as the buds battery levels. Since then, the app works every time for me and changing settings works without issue. It might take a minute for the charging case to show up in the app the first time. Be patient and be rewarded!

App Update requires location services for finding earbuds. I just updated this application and from what I can tell the only change is that now I’m required to always allow my location to be tracked if I want to utilize the find my earbuds feature. A feature that only works if the earbuds are within Bluetooth range and connected and which previously worked while never allowing my location to be accessed. Don’t update to the newest version if you currently use the apps and aren’t experiencing any issues.

App is useless….. Unless you set up your EarPods using the directions in the app. All functionality is enabled and you can see battery levels of both the charging case and EarPods. The work exactly as advertised as long as it’s set up properly.

Very difficult to find out how to connect to the app. After a ton of digging I have found out how to actually connect to the app. You have to forget the buds connection and fully close the app first. Then pair your buds normally but do not remove them from the case. Now open the app and it should take a minute but it will find the buds.

Quite possibly the worst app on the store. I got the LG Tone Free FP9 and the headphones are quite good and I assume that these lines of headphones don't really need this garbage to operate which I'm very glad. This app only worked once which was when I first paired these bad boys to my phone but it had stopped working ever since like for most people. Their forums are useless and for the price that we are paying for these headphones, they should actually invest some money in a good app developer.

find every place they sell and bad rate them. These go not work. Mine are stuck on ambient mode, which I hate! There is no way to turn it off without the app. I have only had these for a little over a month and they are worthless. I will never trust LG products again for selling trash! The app never worked and does not find the earbuds. You can do nothing from there! I will find every place that they sell these and rate them so bad…. U will never trick anyone else to buy them!

Cant connect the headphones. I’ve been trying all night to get this crap working. Even though my FN7s are working well and are connected via bluetooth, the App gets stuck at “Connect”, the loader spins and nothing happens. Running on iOS14.7, iPhone 8. Can’t find the “happy path” to get this app to work. Guys, this is just embarassing. Please hire me as a dev and give me this app to fix it real fast, I rly wanna use it…

Stopped working. Now fixed.. The app opens up once my Tone Free FP-8 is paired but unlike before I can’t change the settings. It used to work fine. I’ve forgot device, re-paired. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app and nothing. This is frustrating. Please fix this. —Edit. Forgetting device and pairing again, leaving the earbuds in the case with the lid open seems to be the key. Once you’re paired leave the earbuds in the case with the lid open and open app. Then it’ll give the 2-3 pop up windows and it’ll work. Again. This app is the reason I won’t buy another pair of these earbuds.

App works fine if you know how to connect. All these problems about people saying they can’t connect… you need to also connect to the low energy Bluetooth device in order for the app to work.

Does everything that everybody else says why I cannot. Everything he said is completely 100% accurate. The app worked once for me and ever since, the only thing it says is "No headset available. Please confirm" It does nothing else and LG basically told me "have you tried turning it off and back on?" which is about as useful as a fart-scented candle. And the one time it did work, it only had one function which was "find my ear buds" and the one time I used it (you can't ever use it if there is "no headset available"), it told me my ear buds were 30 miles down the road when they were next to me. This is such a garbage dumpster fire app. Oh and when I clicked the support button, it took me to the Chinese language site. I do not speak Chinese.

Like everyone else says, APP IS USELESS!!. The earbuds connect via Bluetooth, but it does NOT connect to app, which locks you out of the things that would make these OKAY. Not Good or Great, just Okay. They sound worse that my older, cheaper $50 Sony Loop Headphones. I normally sing the praises of LG (TV’s) but these are disappointing. I can’t believe they charge $100 for these, let alone their original retail price. Will likely be returning if they don’t update within my return period. LG…FIX/UPDATE YOUR APP!!!!

Finally got connected. I was having a lot of similar issues to other users…the app would recognize that there were headphones connected to my phone but that was about it - I couldn’t interact with them at all via the app options. So, I “forgot” it in the Bluetooth settings and then tried what other users said to do - leave the buds in the case and only get it connected with them in there. Once I did that, I saw the case and buds charge and it prompted me for a software update. Works perfect now. I’m definitely not leaving a great review in the app…that should be mentioned/suggested up front by the devs.

The app doesn’t work…like ever. The head phones are great but the app literally doesn’t even let me press different modes for the headphones. It’s randomizes my modes for me as well which means I have to repeatedly take out my headphones, put them in the case, and then put them back it. I honestly wish the app was as good as the actual product its supposed to be supporting. Sadly it’s GARBAGE.

Samsung vs iPhone. When I had a Samsung 20 the app and earbuds worked great but when I switch to an iPhone (13max) ugh the app doesn’t connect like it use to and audio quality went down and everyone hate it when I talking to them through them. So I turn them off on calls. Idk why there’s such a big differences from Samsung to iphone but there is. Heed my warning if you got an iPhone just get AirPods that what I have to do now.

How to use. You have to have the headphones in the charging case when you pair them to your phone. Once you pair them to your phone, leave them in the case and open the app. There can be a little lag time when recognizing the device. Once it recognizes the headphones, pair them with the app and you’ll get access to all of the features offered

The reviews are right… kinda. The app works great when it works, but sometimes it just stops working, and in my few times it happened it was fixed by forgetting the earbuds on Bluetooth and repairing them. The app still remembers what presets you had for it though so this leads me to believe it has to so with a Bluetooth Software issue, which yes, is their issue, but it works fine after you quickly fix the bug.

Issues with connecting. A lot of reviews talk about the unavoloty to connect, however I kept trying to connect and you basically have to have the case open with the ear buds in it, open the app, then put the ear buds in and let it auto connect. This worked for me and I was able to tweak my settings and change my eq

Best Earbud App. I recently tried 6 different ear pods and this is the best app out of any of the ear pod apps. It has the most features for the ear buds and is the most visually appealing and easy to navigate. I have had no problems with the ear buds connecting to the app or anything. It allows for switching between the 2 devices you are listening to the easiest too.

THE APP WORKS!!!!. This app works beautifully, you need to pair your earbuds with app and allow access to Bluetooth before it works, 2 pop up windows will open when you open the app and it may need an update as well. Took me 3 tries until I succeed! If it doesn’t work disconnect earbuds from phone on the Bluetooth settings and pair them again, without the app you will not get the full benefits of these amazing earbuds. DONT GIVE UP ON THIS APP! IT WORKS…

This is amazing!. I’m using this with my LG-TONE-NP3 Stereo headphones. It works perfectly, but took a bit to get set up. I am using them dual connected on my cell (an older iOS SE) and my laptop. The app has a me able to hear the music on the laptop AND use the equalizer settings on my phone! I’m impressed.

Help!. For me it says no available headset and that’s literally it like nothing else pops up I even connected it manually and still nothing it said no available headset I’ve downloaded and deleted the app multiple times and that still didn’t fix it as of rn the app is a 2 star get back asap so I can change my rating please and thank you

This app is a wreck going nowhere!. I haven't had my earbuds (LG Tone Free FP8) for a week, the key selling point was to be able to produce a sound system similar to what's at the home base. The Tone Free app worked once, it was the first time I paired Bluetooth. Since then it doesn't recognize that the earbuds are linked, it continues to inquire to link my device. I can't modify or actually listen to the premium Meridian sound system or change any setting. I have disconnected Bluetooth pairing, turn my phone on/off, removed the app, and reloaded the app. At the cost of these earbuds, I could have spent less and picked up an Apple product. The cost of this free app is not worth the cost of admission!

Horrible App. This app works for a while and then will not do anything except show you how to pair your earbuds with a device. When you click on the help it takes you to a site that is not in English, so thanks for that help! NOT!! The app is crap! We buy your earbuds and then you won’t fix your app so consumers can use it. So we can’t use the features you advertise! Thanks LG!

Earbuds are great but the app is bad. I tried updating the earbuds like it said but after it got to 3/7 the app crashed every time, it also constantly says there are no earbuds found/connected even though they are. I mainly use apple products but with this app it just makes me feel like I did something wrong please fix this problem as soon as possible because it’s almost impossible to us the app.

It works IF you follow the directions. This app will only work if you have both earbuds in the case and the case paired to your phone. You have to do this every time you want to make adjustments using the app. With that said, I can’t understand why LG would do this. You can’t make any adjustments while wearing the earbuds. Not sure if this is a technology limitation or just poor design. Either way, it would be much more functional if we could use the app while wearing the earbuds. Anywho, the app does work, you just have to follow LGs stupid directions.

Useless App. Worked for the first week of owning the headphones, then stopped working completely. Only shows that the headphones are connected, but I can use my custom audio settings or change any other settings on the headphones. LG fix this NOW! Else give compensation for not having the full functionality of the headphones available as advertised.

What happened to Ambient sound. Seems The most recent update negated the ability to change touch functions. Why would I want to turn on ambient noise feature while in a call? Instead I would grab the earpiece for a couple of secs to readjust as they start to fall out of my ear. Please bring back ability to touch and hold in call with no resulting action

Works Perfectly w/ T90Q Earbuds. I’m not sure why people are having such a hard time with this app. I was nervous after reading some of the reviews, but I’ve had no problem connecting and reconnecting to my LG Tone Free T90Q earbuds and making changes to the settings. Everything has worked great! I have the 14 Pro Max phone. The earbuds are the best I’ve ever had and the customization options in the app are awesome!

Leg tone earbuds. Do not buy these. You will not be able to use the earbuds with all the settings and ability’s. All you can do with them is use the basic functions of listening to whatever it is you listen too but won’t be able to use the different settings because the app does not work. It doesn’t work sometimes it never works at all. I have tried everything and the app won’t let you past the connection page. Very review I have read says the same thing. You’d be better off buying other earbuds for this price rather than have these and not be able to access the settings.

Unable to update firmware or use EQ. Not sure what happened but I’m no longer able to use the app for anything at this point. I love the earphones themselves but the app is pretty much useless at this point. I’ve even reinstalled several times just to see if that would make a difference. It does not. Would give it 0 stars but that is not an option.

Works for my iPhone 12 mini. Just got my lg tones - open box actually, so not even brand new ones. They connected to my phone and app like normal and the software update completed. Didn’t have any issues the other reviews did.

Can’t choose original effects using touchpad. If you go into noise cancellation mode you have to take your phone out to change it back to no effects, terrible design for battery life. If you’re using pc you’re out of luck you have to disconnect, pull out your phone go through maybe 5-10 secs of waiting for the app to work. Then you can finally reconnect just to press the touch pad and have to restart those steps for the 500th time since you bought them. I like them they’re comfy mid price decent battery life and effects but not having multi device connection or a windows app really hampers it for me. I don’t know if u guys respond but i would really appreciate it if there’s any info on why it’s only anc and transparent mode.

I physically can't even. This little bugger likes to farm harvest and spread my information and whereabouts around. The only way to connect is by doing what it clearly & explicitly states not to connect to. Also has a tendency to render my iphone nonfunctional with bluetooth on. My question is they clearly know what they are doing, why are we the ones paying? Someone needs to pay me to have this crapp seriously. And fix it. Clearly a lot of people thought better about LG. Life used to be Good, until you used me

No longer connects. Used them for a week, and all of a sudden the app wouldn’t connect with the headphones. Tried deleting and reinstalling, removing the device from Bluetooth devices, nothing worked. The app has some nice features, but when you cannot access them, it’s worthless. I have other LG devices and they are great. This is a massive disappointment.

An update, but still not useful. Please update this app to allow users to completely disable the active modes like noise cancelling and ambient sound, they get turned on by accident all the time and are almost painful to hear even at the lowest level, which of course is never the level the earbuds default to when switched by button press instead of going through the app. What is the point of having an app and all the fanciness if you can't disable features that negatively impact you?

Not as bad as people say. It works fine, the gps part is a little messed up but with the sound thing it’s definitely easier to find them. I can also change the taps on the app easily.

Read instructions!. Ok, so this is one of the rare times you need to actually READ and FOLLOW the instructions. I read them step by step thanks to another review and everything works 100% perfectly on the app and earbuds with no issues whatsoever!!

Trash App. I wish I could leave something lower than 1 star, App is complete garbage, I haven’t been able to connect my FP-8 tone free, they are connected with the phone and working just fine, but app keeps saying no headphones detected, I have unpaired them repaired with my phone about 50 times now, you’d think a big company like LG would make a proper app, but this is ridiculous Going to have to return these

Disappointed. I am all for LG when it comes to many of my electronics, specially my TV’s. I have to say this app is a bunch of nothing. I love my new earbuds Tone-F9P but with out this app the potential of the headphones can’t even be used. I might as well get a headphone from the gas station. The app will not connect to the headphones. Please fix this bug before I take these nice headphones back to the store. Thanks.

Completely Useless. I’ve paired my brand new, $180 Tone Free FP8s but the app continuously says “No Headset Is Available” and asks me to “Confirm”. Not really sure the point of asking me to confirm… The few times it did connect I wasn’t able to toggle/edit any of the available settings. I wonder how many people have returned their expensive headphones because the app is utter garbage. LG, you should be wondering this too, because I’ll certainly be returning mine :)

Horrible. I wish i could give this negative 10 stars. Why would you come out with a product that claims to work on iphones when the app cant even connect to your own product. Sound quality was horrific. Flat, no bass and dull. I returned them within an hour of purchase and used paid the difference for AirPod pros. If you're going to market a product make sure it works across the ecosystem

Cannot use this app. Too bad.. Earbud itself is very nice and easy to use. But the App is so bad I have to remove and re install on regular basis.. No wonder they failed in Smart phone world?? Not really.. WebOS is very easy to use and works great.. but this App is totally opposite. Now I am re installing the App and leave review..

Rubbish App (LG please fix this). Hey LG you created fantastic earpod (FP9) why you offer such a inferior app with it?? The app not good with apple iphone. Hard to reconnect to the app after you remove the earpods from your ears. In order to reconnect, you have to put them back to their case , open the lid, then the app recognise the ear pieces. I had Apple earpod pro and prefer to keep my LG but this software push me to return them and ask for refund. LG fix this if you like to promote your sale.

Absolutely terrible. Cannot connect the app with the headphones at all. The app does absolutely zero things without being connected to the headphones so what’s the point. The earbuds themselves drive me up the wall too, such a waste of money, but that’s not related to the app I guess

Drop out and connection issues. Really frustrating everytime I go into the app I have have to reconnect my headphones. Also can’t change the features of the headphones. Really annoying especially when this is the only way to do anything is through the app. Very frustrating.

App broken.. Headphones are great, but the app simply won’t connect to them. It never asks for Bluetooth access when launching even after multiple installs and phone restarts. Tried on other iOS devices also. So frustrated I will return my brand new headphones because of it.

When will this work properly?. The app support button just tried to sell me a dishwasher so I guess I have to write something here. These are buds sound great but the app worked for the first two weeks of me having them and hasn’t worked in four months. Can’t change eq, can’t see how much battery. Pretty useless. Are we getting an upgrade that makes the app work anytime soon? A literally can’t tell how much battery I have until they go flat.

Terrible App for amazing buds!. After researching like mad I eventually purchased the FP9 buds! These things are so comfortable and straight out the charging case they sound amazing! Then comes the app! When I open the app it finds the FP9’s immediately. I can’t however do anything in the app. When I try to change from bass boost to immersive etc. I get a spinning wheel and then nothing. If I click on update I get a never ending search for an update. The app needs fixing desperately in order for users to gain the full use of the buds! Pretty average for such a “quality” company!

App doesn’t work. Unable to change any setting ie EQ auto play/pause or even check for a firmware update everything I tap just comes up with a spinning circle then times out.

Terrible. So I forked out a few hundred dollars for a pair of buds that I can’t customise functionality for, can’t adjust EQ etc - all because of this useless app. It just doesn’t work. Zero support from LG.

BS app. Just purchased a set of P9 True Tone’s today. App does not work at all on IPhone XS. No customisation functions apply at all. Even preset setting make no adjustments. Only EQ adjustments work through Apple Music player EQ! Which are beyond basic. Please advise! LG tech team. ^^^^^^^^^^ Billion dollar enterprise cannot provide a sufficient update¿ Or have I purchased a device that cannot be returned due to Hygiene requirements?

App is very frustrating... Frustrating since sometimes the app doesn’t work and there’s been a lot of bad reviews about it and they’re not doing anything about it either.. it’s making me want to sell the FP8 and grab a different airbus’s/AirPods..

Too many bugs. I have the tone 9 which are amazing. But it is so difficult to use them to their full capabilities because the app crashes. Either won’t open, connect to the earphones or change the sound settings I.e, 3D surround sound, bass boost etc. just loads and then nothing changes.

Works sometimes. The headphones are great. The app is okay when the headphones connect which is not often. Currently listening to music from my phone through these headphones. The app is telling me there are no headphones connected

Name change. If you have changed the name of your earbuds, the app won’t work at all. Needs to be fixed.

Disappointed. Great headphones terrible app. Doesn’t matter what I do, the app will not pick up the headphones. It seems I’m not the only person experiencing this from reading the other reviews. Disappointing, was excited to see the app in use. Hopefully this will be fixed.

Don’t change the name of your earbuds!. If you change the name of your earbuds in your Bluetooth settings from the factory settings (LG HBS-FN6 for mine) then the app will no longer be able to find and connect to your earbuds and becomes useless. I spent ages troubleshooting the fact that the app wouldn’t recognise that the earbuds where connected to my phone (uninstalling and reinstalling the app multiple times). However as soon as I changed the name back to the factory settings in my iPhone Bluetooth menu the app immediately found the earbuds and became usable.

App doesn’t work at all. It doesn’t let me customise touch controls. Doesn’t let me see if there are any updates available, it’s just buffers forever to no avail. Doesn’t let me switch off noise canceling or adjust ambient sound levels from the app. So pretty much can’t use any of the features on my new FP9a. Shocking from LG

Almost useless app!. What exactly is the app for??? Can’t change settings (well 1 time out ten perhaps), can’t see what charge is, only thing it does is show when connected - but see that in blue tooth settings! Connecting requires you to internet search fact that HAVE TO name the connection precisely (LG-TONE-FP9_LE), that shows up two connections (two ear pieces? or ear piece & dock???). Only useful part of app is access to manual. It’s such a huge pity that my experience of these excellent ear buds have been hugely soured by this useless app 🤬🤬🤬

LG must not be reading these reviews. Just received my LG TONE Free earbuds with my new OLED TV. These connect fine through the settings and Bluetooth on my iPhone but when I launch the app it just says no headset is available. I uninstalled and reinstalled three times and the same thing happens. Looking at these past reviews looks like 99% of the people have the same problem. Maybe LG needs to take note of the dissatisfied users and fix their app so it actually works before releasing it to the public, but I would definitely not buy one of these earbuds that are $180 with an app that does not even work so it’s a good thing they were free with the TV. Don’t bother downloading the app as it doesn’t work just use them normally through your Bluetooth settings on your phone. Sure you won’t get the features of the app until LG actually puts some effort into their app. Why they charge this amount for earbuds is mind blowing maybe they need to spend that money on the app development, but like I said good thing they came free with my TV as if I had purchased them I’d be completely irate as once they are taken out of the box they can’t be returned so then I would’ve wasted all that money.

FP9 will not connect. The LG website states that the FP9 has app support. This app states that it supports FP7 and FP8, but not FP9. False advertising.

Junk app. Randomly doesn’t even load past title screen. Randomly on occasion “forgets” or can’t see BT tone buds. Close & Relaunch. Oh… now it gets stuck on the black screen with “lg tone” in the middle. LG: they make good appliances but their apps are made by retards.

Defective Right off the Hop.... Just got my new set of earbuds and they connected beautifully through manual set up. Downloaded the app, it requested updates so got that done. And it just won’t connect through the app. I can’t access any functions until it connects with the app and it keeps saying “No Headset Available”. I’ve deleted the app twice & reinstalled, disconnected the earbuds from my phone and even removed them from the devices list. No go, won’t work, and the Help selection takes me to a web page that is not in English. Useless app.

App doesn't work. The App won't recognize the case so you can't even use the app, plus the actual ear pods have their own issues. They loses connection or it says it does every 30 mins and I been chasing my case all morning and the ear pods are not holding a charge.

Works for a day, then it doesn’t.. The earbuds themselves are a great product (I have the FP8s) but the app doesn’t work. The app worked for a day, and then it wouldn’t respond anymore. You can’t change the EQ or completely turn off ANC from the earbuds, so you miss out on those features.

The app doesn’t work…like ever. The head phones are great but the app literally doesn’t even let me press different modes for the headphones. It’s randomizes my modes for me as well which means I have to repeatedly take out my headphones, put them in the case, and then put them back it. Useless. All I wanted to use this for is seeing the battery status of the ear pieces. It has no problem recognizing them when the case is open, but at no time has it ever shown me the charge status of the earpieces or the case. Both are showing green so they are above 80% but I’d like a more accurate indicator.

The app worked a year ago. None of the buttons in the app seem to do anything anymore. None of the EQ seems to work and I can’t turn the ANC to “off” anymore because the buttons does not work in the app and they didn’t program that functionality into the headphone controls.

Works Great with FP9. Love these earbuds and the app! I only need it once to setup. Settings carry across devices. I have remapped actions; and changed default modes.

Useless App. The earbuds work great connected to my phone (iPhone 8+) but the app is completely useless! The only thing that can be accessed is directions to connect the earbuds to your phone. None of the other features. Don’t purchase these expecting to be able to use the EQ or ‘find your earbuds’ feature.

Works My Fault. Reread directions. My errors 1) renamed on Bluetooth 2) turned on side button 3) didn't have location set to always. Obeyed and now ok.

App still does not work.. Recently purchased the Tone Buds at Sam’s and looked forward to an upgrade from my past pair of earbuds. Although the earbuds work, I’m not able to use the app on my iPhone. Does not get past the Home Screen and it does not see the earbuds.

I think I know why it’s broken…. Most apps that control bluetooth devices ask iOS for permission to use or read Bluetooth data. This app does not ask for any permissions, therefore cannot work. Was this accidentally removed??

Tone meridian Ear buds. I just got mine and the app says there’s no device connected but I’m clearly playing music connected to my iPhone Bluetooth and using my setting before the app crashed please get a update for us I like the quality and it worked one day for me. Cant Update. Same problem everyone else has. Tried updating the software 5+ times and the app crashed every single time after the 3rd (of 7) files. No troubleshooting guide or way to contact support from the app. Not helpful except to change the tap functions so that adjusting the earbud wouldn’t stop my music every time.

No longer connects. Used them for a week, and all of a sudden the app wouldn’t connect with the headphones. Waste of data. This app is a dumpster fire. It only worked once for me when I initially received my headphones. After a week of use, the headphones stopped working due to a wiring malfunction. I replaced the headphones and the app doesn’t recognize the new ones at all. I’ve reinstalled and did a clean boot of all software and hardware and it still doesn’t work.

App doesn’t recognize headset. The app sometimes won’t be able to connect to your earbuds. I think this has something to do with the Bluetooth. If it doesn’t connect, then it’s not connected to the LG-TONE-FP9_LE. The Bluetooth for the earbuds themselves is LG-TONE-FP9.

App Is The Only Broken Thing. The earbuds work great. They pair to my phone just fine, and there is no sound delay. But they won’t connect to the app no matter what I do. Seems like other reviewers are having the same issue. LG, these would be so much cooler if I could get the full usage out of then with the app.

LG needs to do better. This app is 100% useless and customer service is even worse. I now have LG tone free headphones that cost me $130 and can not adjust the settings through this app. I knew i should have bought AirPods. Great Headphones, terrible APP. Love the sound and the ambient sound feature, but the headset keeps connecting to my iPhone even when it’s still in the case. Which drains the battery and has become empty when I want to use them. Please fix this as this just makes the headphones useless if they are already drained of batteries before I take them out.

Battery Indicator in iOS. It doesn’t properly indicate the battery life in the widget. My Wyze Buds did, then again my LG T90Q earbuds were about $160 more than those so you would imagine it would work better.

App Does Not Work. Just received my HBS-FN6 ear buds. I have tried 6 or 7 times to update my ear buds with no success. The app does not give me any error codes and the LG website has no troubleshooting information. The ear buds function great with the phone, but the app keeps telling me that one ear bud is disconnected... Also the find my ear bud does not work

“Find my earbuds” does not work. It’s worked one single time and ever since then the app completely fails to play a sound or have the proper location. Gave it location and Bluetooth permissions but it just doesn’t work. Lost my left earbud because of this and the poorly designed case that tosses them like a catapult if you drop it.
