Definitely a Blast from the Past!!. This definitely is a surprise but also brings back memories! Gameplay is extremely engaging and you really can’t beat the classic story! You have upgradeable skills and multiple weapons. Great job devs! I haven’t been playing long but so far so good, if I run into any glitches or issues with controls I’ll update the rating.

Awesome game but some bugs. Great game ! Wish levels were longer as I see only 8. ! But this shows great potential for future iPad games also in the 2nd or 3rd stage their is a big glitch we’re you fall into the ground. Not sure if it’s fixed but I played last night & tried 3 times. Hopefully it gets fixed and many some bonus levels too!

GREAT GAME, I have a suggestion for a weapon.. So remember when Jack went to Africa? Can you add 2 weapons from that episode? The staff that has the strong wood and the spinning saw thing that the invaders used. Can you also make it so you can play as kid Jack in these ideas for levels: Egypt, Africa, and the kingdom Jack grew up in. These can be open world like Genshin Impact where you can explore and fight enemies and even make friends and allies. I hope you hear this out and add this, it would hit us with nostalgia. Though I was born before season 5 started and after season 4 ended, I would still think this would be a great idea. Ps: We would show gratitude for a joke about a skin of the professor from powerpuff girls on Jack for endless mode. I beg you guys. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 please and thank you.

SERIOUS bug…. It’s a great game and super fun, only thing is… it’s unplayable. If I die, the app crashes, nothing is saved, and the entire game starts over. ON NORMAL MODE!! I even tried switching it to easy, redownloading it, nothing’s fixed it. It’d be five stars if I could actually play more than three levels of it… I’ve played the same levels 4 times now, it’s beyond annoying. if you could look into this I’d be more than willing to adjust my review to the amount of stars it deserves.

Interesting New Game for Mobile. I’ve been a fan of Samurai Jack since I was a kid. I saw the game and looked through the pictures and decided it would be worth a download. Currently I’m about 2 hours in. The game is neat, it has this real rpg feel that follows around our hero Jack. You can equip new weapons, upgrade skills, and perform awesome combos. The game itself is fun to play with almost no issues. I do have problems with it heating up my device and the frames drop to like 20 when insane things happen. I will say that the game should eventually include a multiplayer option that allows you to just fight people online in an arena or else I see it being a one time play through.

This could’ve been a perfect game.. Great graphics for a mobile game. While playing it, I even thought about God of War. Developers must have tried God of War and copied some of that game. This game would be a lot better if it was more challenging and less repetitive in combats. It has some glitches that need to be fixed. This game had the potential to get 5 stars and be one of the best. I give 3.5 stars for now. I ONLY RECOMMEND THIS GAME IF YOU HAVE A CONTROLLER. It is frustrating without a controller, just don’t waste your time if you are planning to just touch the screen with your fingers.

Blast from the past. This is one of the very few games on this scam subscription service that almost makes you feel like money well spent. It plays amazingly close to the PS4 version on anything with the A13 or newer, with a controller. The on-screen buttons are a bit too busy and hard to get right when in the heat of the action. Overall though, if you grew up watching Samurai Jack as I did this game and it’s story will definitely give you that nostalgia feeling. The moments when you’re about done and seeing Jack’s hair down, you know stuff is about to get real. Aside from the busy on-screen controls there do seem to be a few bugs that randomly pop up and I understand there’s several chips and resolutions to support as well as iOS versions but it does feel like a lack of overall polish the console versions enjoy. It also is quick to cause your phone/tablet/laptop to get real warm real quick. ***really wish Apple engineers would follow other manufacturers with heat dissipation techniques if they intend for users to game using these mobile devices…hint Apple. Hint***

It’s not worth it. So I was excited to get this game but then it said I can’t download it then I started to delete stuff so I can play but still it D I D N T work literally I went to 14gb of space still didn’t download so I say it takes up too much space for you to get also I payed money to get this and it didn’t work so I gave up creator please make it less space cause I’ve been trying and nothing’s working.

Works poorly on M1 Mac Mini. This game seems like it should be pretty decent, however on my fully spec'd M1 Mac Mini it is basically unplayable due to the terrible fraterate. It feels like I'm getting 5-10 frames per second most of the time. I tried turning down the resolution and adjusting the framerate but it didn't seem to help at all. Too bad, I kinda want to play it, but in this current form it is more or less unplayable on this device.

I’ve never been so frustrated with a mobile game before.. I was starting to enjoy the game, for the gameplay and upgrades, but the AMOUNT of glitches and bugs that happen that involves me playing entire courses and levels, and then the game just blacks out or quits on me, is sooo frustrating. i have to wait for an upgrade just to finally beat the game, and i’m not as patient as a was at the beginning. probably deleting soon if the next update doesn’t work.

An excellent addition to arcade. This was a big surprise for me as on consoles and PC this game is 40, yet here we get it as part of our 5$ a month subscription. It plays well and on an ipad with controller support I would argue this is the same experience as on other places. The game itself feels a bit antiquated but it captures the aesthetic of Samurai Jack beautifully and even adds something wonderful to the story at the end.

Perfect 1 player Adventure game!. Been playing a lot of mobile games in my life time but this game is the best yet from not just fun but the fact every detail they put in. And the controls are done perfect if you want to experience better just connect it to your ps4 controller! Mobile games need to take notes! This game is where it’s at!

Good game. The game is good the bugs that appear are game are the most crazy thing to happen you fall though floors FOUCS on things that you don’t want to FOUCS on there is a button that makes you FOUCS if I wanted to do that I would click the button you can’t unfocus with the button you stay like that and it annoying because there is other enemy's to fight and only being able to fight one while getting attacked by 50 more is dumb I literally skipped a whole level because I fell though the floors twice

Good game, horrible port. As a huge Samurai Jack fan it is painful for me to not give this game a 5 star, but I hope this brings some attention. I have a macbook pro 16inch and I could run this game butterly smooth via steam and bootcamp (could even play at 2k resolution). However, on the mac partition the stutter is horrific, cant even pull constant 60fps on low resolution 1920x1080. It starts ok, but once there are more enemies the lag is huge. It does not even run well on the iphone 12 pro max!!

Crash. Hey! Remember me? The guy who complained about the glitch in the game about falling through the floor? Well, I just want to tell you I got through it......and then stumbled upon another one. You see, I completed all the other stages. I was on the prison ship stage and was fighting the doppelgänger version of ashi. Once I finished the fight and as jack goes through the portal, the game completely crashes and throws me out of the game......so....yeah. This makes me believe the iOS version of the game isn’t completed yet....so.....you know the drill......fix it. I’ll at least leave a decent review for you Sense you guys tried so hard to work on the game. PEACE ✌️☮️

Worth the Price of the Service. Apple Arcade is an extremely interesting business model. Some of the highest quality apps on the store are released here. The best example of this is Samurai Jack. With it being released for $40 on every game console, it gets shadow dropped on here. With very few differences, except for some graphical downgrades, you wouldn’t believe a game like this would be released on an phone even 5 years ago. I can’t tell you that this game is worth it on other consoles, since I haven’t played it, but I can say you should definitely give it a try on here. If you don’t feel inclined enough to play it yet, the gameplay is top notch for a beat em up. The art direction also fits right in with the show. I could go on, but I want to get back to exploring this stylish world of Samurai Jack.

some issues. Alright,Now I’m not saying this game is bad. I was like an inch away from finishing the game but I kept accidentally deleted the file!So i’ve started over the level twice now. So over all Samurai jack is like one of AWESOMEST games ever. But some of the levels might take two weeks max. But it’s Awesome don’t try and stop yourself from getting the game.

Really Fun, Little Glitchy. Having been a fan of the show for a long time, it was great to see this hit the Arcade. I only recently finished it and I really enjoyed it. There are some things that are a little glitchy and the camera controls can be a pain, but it’s an enjoyable action game. Clean up some of the glitches and improve camera controls for those of us not using a controller and it could be 5 stars.

Was fun but now not so much.. I beat the game on all difficulty settings starting from Hard to the next unlocked Harder difficulty, then went back and beat it on Normal and Easy. I have every skill upgrade, every weapon upgrade. Did a few of the challenges but it’s so repetitive I just stopped playing. Also I unlocked the ability to switch outfits but there is no other outfit option, I looked it up, on console there are two outfits which are the only two you wear in the story but, I can’t switch it stays at “Default” no matter how many times I try to tick left or right, yes im on the main menu trying. Other than all of that, games was funny and kinda funny to me. Great game just extremely short. I know it’s a port but Adult Swim could have done way better. Still fun game until you beat it so many times.

I want to rate higher but.... Major glitchy. All of my controls got shoved up into the top left corner after the first round and I couldn’t do anything but move around and die, can’t even get to a menu unless I force quit the app... loads that same way every time too... very disappointing. Now I have to start a new game and I don’t want to keep running into the same issue if I get further down the road so I might just delete. If this gets fixed, I’ll continue playing.

Game doesn't save. The game itself is awesome. Really fun and good fighting mechanics. The only thing that's been making me not play this, is the fact that no matter what I do the game doesn't not save my progress. It keeps saying save failed. As soon as I leave the game and put it back on everything I did is gone and needs to be redone. Could this be looked into please?

Fun game, bad performance.. First off the game is a lot of fun with addictive combat. The biggest issue is performance. While the game is nice to look at there are better looking titles graphically with far better performance available. On my XS Max most of the time it will go below 30 FPS. One level late in the game which features a lot of rain is especially choppy with frame rates in the teens that sometimes dip into single digits. The low frame rate really ruins the combat. It’s fine in smaller corridors and areas until a large amount of enemies are on screen. Open areas are by far the worst offenders. It’s an otherwise great game that needs some serious optimization.

Great game! Some minor bugs. Game is amazing. It’s bringing back my childhood memories of watching the show. Gameplay and graphics are perfect. Only issue I encountered is on the third level when traveling through some of the halls you can actually glitch through the floor and fall all the way to the bottom of the level. It also reveals spoilers of what’s gonna happen next in the level. You can manage to jump out the the glitches barely but I fell through about 5 different times and in different spots and I had to jump off the board basically to kill Jack and reload the checkpoint. Level is (cave of ancient)

Great Game!. I just downloaded it and started playing it on my phone, and is an amazing game! It hit all the right buttons for me, definitely my type of game. I’m frankly in love with this game, it is nice to play it on my phone as well as my switch. It has fun gameplay, and it makes you fell like you are actually a highly skilled samurai like Jack is in the show! Definitely check it out! 10/10

Brings me back to my childhood.. Really great game. The combat system is really great. Hard mode is reeeeaally hard. Feels like a game for the fans. A few bugs on release though. You can’t get through one of the levels because you drop through the floor. That’ll be patched out though.

Good. This game is pretty good i like it but there is just one problem. It’s the camera movement. When you move it with your fingers to look for an enemy behind you it’s very slow and doesn’t move fast so if we had some more control with the camera movements i think that would be better and easier for the player. Barely playable on MacBook Air 2020 core i5. The game itself seems to be fun to play. I like the graphics and overall style/gameplay. It is definitely much closer to mobile gaming experience than desktop. But sadly it is barely playable on my MacBook Air 2020 Core i5, 16Gb RAM. Decreased resolution to absolute minimum allowed in the game and it is still sluggish. Installed on my iPhone XR as well, it runs smoothly but I don't like how control is designed, I've seen much better in ton of other games on AppStore. AS a conclusion, I give 3 stars for design/style and gameplay in desktop version

Camera controls. The camera controls arent jist bad, theyre absolutely BROKEN. I cant finish this game, let alone go for the chests. In the thrid level near the beginnimg there are two chests, one you chop a tree to get to and then you jump pver a gap to get to the other one... easy stuff... except once you go over the gap the camera swings behind the character completely destroying the path I was taking and cauaing me to fall. It is NOT POSSIBLE and Its because the camera is simply BUGGED. In combat the camera will bug out and fling all over the place, which makes combos nearly impossible and I take a ton of damage. Im struggling to play this even on easy because of how broken the camera is. If I could actually SEE what youbwere doing, the game would be great. It plays like a game on the gamecube or ps2 would play. Its feels so nostalgic and honestly fun, I just wish I could see what I was doing...

Great game the controls buttons keep moving though. I loved the game and I think it’s great but after I beat the game I wanted to play one cut and when I loaded into the level all the buttons were stuck to one side of the screen I tried to fix it in the settings and I re opened the game and tried again and still no luck I hope it gets fixed soon still by far one of the best mobile games for Apple Arcade.💯

Can’t Get All Collectibles. There seems to be a glitch in the game where one area won’t let me rotate my camera in order to get one of the collectibles, and it also says that I don’t have as many as I actually do. There are 50 of the Corrupted Emperor’s Kamen medals and I collected all but one (the one that I need to rotate my camera but it can’t), but it’s telling me I’m still missing two. But when I go back to these levels to find which ones can are missing, but all are accounted for

Controls could be better. I really want to love this game. A couple levels in and it’s great so far. Only issue I’m having is the controls. It’s very hard to control the camera angle and execute the moves I am trying to on my iPhone XS. Perhaps if I was on an iPad with a bigger screen or used a controller it would be better. However, the way it is, it’s difficult for me to be patient enough to play when it takes me twice as long as it should to navigate the area and do the things I’m trying to do.

How fun this is. This is a very fun game if you are looking forward to a thrill of smashing and clashing than take a look at this game! I really do with that they would add more because I have already completed the game and got #1 coins and #3 gems because I have been playing ever since the game came out. Samurai jack is the best!!!!. I’ve been watching samurai Jack since I was a kid and this video game just feels like I was just about six years old watching it but now as soon as they created a video game and open world RPG game it’s been a blast. When I was young I couldn’t even afford a PS2 and I wanted to play samurai Jack but now as soon as I have a smart phone I could just take it out my pocket and play samurai Jack .The graphics are really really good and the game play and story line are astonishing !!! Especially there’s a little romance in the video game and it’s the villains daughter it’s almost like Romeo and Juliet! I would recommend this game to anyone !

Really solid adaptation with good gameplay. From the cutscenes, the game’s aesthetic, music, sound effects and overall animation, it was an appropriate tribute to the work of the original series. It follows the story perfectly, and still has a good bit of content, really good overall gameplay. The environment has lots of secret treasures and areas, movement and looking around the environment are easy, but there are still challenging parts that usually have easier solutions, it’s a solid game that has a touch of the Dark Souls genre in its play style.

Keep glitching through floor. Amazing game!! Finally a game that actually feels like a real game. Apple needs more developers like this because Apple Arcade is seriously lacking on that wow factor on most of there games in there collection. I hope they can port over some real games and make up for not allowing Xcloud and stadia be available to there customers. This game is fun but they seriously need to patch the bugs. I keep on glitching through the floor. I’m running this game on a 2020 iPad Pro 12.9 and I know that I’m definitely not the only one running into this same problems.

The game is glitches big time. The game is a lot of fun but it has multiple glitches on the 3rd level. 1st is when you fall between the level inside the walls of the game and then when you beat the boss on level 3 after the video it kicks me out please clear the glitches finite the game. I am pretty sure that a lot of people were waiting on that game don’t disappoint them.

Beware of Bugs. The game is great, it brings back the nostalgic feeling of watching the shows when you were a child as well as brining the aspects that we loved from the recent final season. However, with that being said the game does experience inconvenient crashes and tends not to save your progress after the first stage. Great game, would be even better with these minor improvements. Hopefully it will be fixed with an update.

Pair with controller. Okay so I’ve played through about 3 hours at this point and some people said they finished it by then but I also search every corner of the map as they hide stuff everywhere! The maps are great and play with perspective and the game play is fun with a few bugs. The different weapons and moves you can unlock makes it feel fresh. Plays kinda like and old game cube game and I’m so glad they got this on the App Store! I also just recently paired my Xbox controller to it and want to replay the whole thing, feels great with controller output definitely something they should advertise more!

On the right track. I had a problem at launch when the game couldn’t load unless I kept logging in and out of Game Center that got fixed in an update the following day, which was we’ll welcomed, but I still cannot change any kind of setting in the option menu because it freezes. Also, after completed the game I couldn’t change the outfit, as part of the settings freezing bug. I really want to encourage this type of games, but I can’t do that with the bugs and glitches

Fun to play but locks up occationally. Fun to play, loved the original series of AS. The animation reminds of the show and it is a blast to play. 4 stars because I'm finding that the game locks up often when I'm in the menu screen. Using a PS4 joystick on a MacPro. Sometimes the menus start to cycle like a button is stuck and it is not. Need to do a force quite to get out of the game. Short of that the game is a blast. At least it saves the game before it crashes.

Frickin’ love this game!!!!. The only reason I was willing to try Apple Arcade was because I saw this game on here! Sam Jack is frickin’ awesome and this game almost tells exactly why! (almost because if you play the game and don’t get why and haven’t watched the series then obviously you need to watch the show because it’s the best cartoon EVER!! (..well except for The Simpsons of course)) So if you don’t have Apple Arcade get it NOW because it’s definitely worth it - there are a ton of amazing games to play besides this one however this one is the best so far. Note to game developers: for Missions - maybe you could add in a quick restart or retry button or something because it’s super frustrating to start a “take no damage” mission mess up and have to go all the way back to the main menu to restart the mission

Cannot save progres. I attempted to play this game on my 3 devices: iPhone SE 2020, Ipad 7th Gen and Apple TV 4K. The game looks stunning on each and I really want to love this game (the nostalgia is real) but unfortunately it does not save. Every time I restart the app to pick up where I left off, I am greeted with the difficulty selection followed by the first cutscene. I also noticed that when in game, if I change any settings in options, it then says “save failed”. Am I the only one with this issue?

Love this game !!. I have beaten the game one time and have started playing through the missions again. I love samurai Jack in this game pays homage to him perfectly. I like this game reminds me of the old school hack and slash games there’s nothing really new here but they did a terrific job. It did make my phone run a little hot while playing but that’s kind of to be expected with the graphics as good as they are. I played the majority of the game with a PS4 controller and only had minor issues with input lag. The few times that I did play with touch controls I did not like them but I normally do not like touch controls. I wanna know if you’re looking for a good hack and slash or you wanna see a continuation of samurai Jack story and you just need to play this game it’s worth the price of admission to Apple Arcade.

Best mobile game that doesn’t cost money. This game was awesome. I was a fan of the cartoon but I never got to see if jack actually ever beat Aku. I finally got to see how it ends. I give this game 5 stars based off the fact you can actually progress through and beat the game without spending actual money.

The game is good but unfair. So I really like the game but even in easy mode story mode it is hard I mean I have collected and used every weapon in the game against aku but I still have never killed him and united jack and ashi It also feels like aku is impossible to beat without a gift if the gods or like 1000 haggises I bet it is basically impossible for the people in master mode but the game is still fun until you reach aku but they should really make the game more accessible too because you can’t do like any other modes without completing story mode and as I said it is kind of impossible to beat story mode because of aku and as I said you would need a weapon with inf damage of like 1000 haggis's

Performance. 90% of this game runs extremely well, but given I have an M1 iPad Pro and this game can’t hold 60 fps in all scenarios is troubling. Especially when this iPad is equipped such a powerful chip, there should be no way this game can’t hold 60 fps all the time, some fight scenes or world effects drop the framerate and while it doesn’t make it unplayable, it really is bothersome. Idk if it’s a game development issue or the fact that Apple limits the raw power of the iPad. It needs an optimization update for these “Pro” iPads. Nonetheless, this game is very enjoyable and highly recommend the game. Just wish Apple cared more about gaming in general.

Getting to 5 stars soon!. Overall great graphics, decent sound and great shalshing gameplay. The controller support is great, I play on my tv with an xbox contreoller mostly. Although not quite 5 stars, the bugs could be more fixed. I see in the revesion history that the bugs are getting fixed more and more each month. It woks great on my M1 maxed out late 2020 Macbook Pro. Although sometimes the graphics can be a little delayed, I tested the game at diffren settigs and my mac can well handle the maxed out settings, the game tends to lagw ith autosave and big boss fights. That might just be a bugging thing they will hopefully soon fix. I am an hour into the gamne and so far so good!

Incredible!. Must play game in my opinion. It feels like a full and well thought out game. I really enjoyed the story and the challenges throughout the game. Must play for anyone looking to fulfill a console level game on mobile/iPad. Graphics were incredible and gameplay was incredibly fun. A+ for the developers

Enjoyable way to spend some time. Really enjoy this game. A few graphical glitches here and there on my iPad Pro (12.9” 3rd Gen), but generally pretty good. I enjoy the story line, such as it is. There are a few issues here and there with the controller (can’t always back out of the setup panels), and after the most recent update it’s crashing more than before the update...

Apple. Stop releasing unfinished conversions.. This game stinks. It could be great, it has the style and the moves and who doesn’t love Samurai Jack? Who? Apparently my new-this-year iPad Pro, which totally heats up and wrecks the battery. It isn’t a bad game, its just a bad idea to ruin your equipment by playing it. And Apple, that’s on you. Worse, this is the third game off the Arcade that is clearly not ready for play. Apple? There’s also something odd going on with some of the cutscene models. Some seriously weird jiggly cones in there. Sup with that?! Uninstalled after two levels and 40% of my battery in 20 minutes... sorry Jack, I’d hoped for better.

Unplayable without controller. You CANNOT change the controls. So for Mac mice, you have no scroll wheel, so are unable to use any range weapons. So you can't get passed the 2nd level

Save Game. Great game to play, but it won’t save the game which means you have to start from the beginning every time you decide to play the game over and over again. Which is really annoying, especially when you gone so far in the game thinking it has save the last memory of the game you left, o lot to realise that you have e to start all over again from the start. Fix the problem....!!!

Console quality. First up, it’s sad to see so many low reviews haven’t been updated since all the bugs have been fixed, you can at least remove your outdated complaints, right now this attitude is sadly gonna lead to this game most likely not being renewed on apple aracde. Now as the for game, it’s a Super fun, challenging devil may cry style game. This game is surprisingly deep with many moves and combos, and you’ll need to learn to rely on them instead of spamming normal attacks. This makes for a game that stands out compared to most of these childishly simple mobile games. One issue I have is gun durability is too low, I get it’s to balance out an op weapon but ammo already does that? Maybe double the durability would be fairer cause atm I just never use gun except on boss fights.

Not bad, very buggy. Not a bad little game, but very buggy. If you have more than 3 enemies on the screen at a time the game drops to an unplayable FPS, even on the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Game won’t save progress. It’s a good game to play, I’ve enjoyed it so far. My only problem is: Not sure if this game is meant to be linked with data and wifi to save the games progress. I get so far in the game & then die only having to go back right from the beginning of the game including the Tutorials.

Screen pause. The screen pauses at the very first mission of this game. I am playing it from iPhone 11 please fix this problem Apple.

Shutting down. The game plays then shuts down very annoying

Buggy. When you get it to start, even setting the framerate to open rather than 60fps and lowest graphic settings, by the time you get half way through a level it slows to a crawl. Potential to be good but still way off the mark. Running on 2021 iMac Ventura with PS5 controller. Update: enitre framerate issue is related to the controller. Disable that and FPS is great but not the kind of game that is best without a game controller.

Bugs with Controller @ MacOS. Using a Playstation controller in the equip menus it freezes the game and you are unable to do anything apart from quit the entire game and restart Catalina 10.15.6 PS4 Controller [hard wired]

Game save too. Game save fail

Great fun but super buggy. I’ve completed the game once. Hell of a lot of fun BUT super buggy. There have been times I was literally mid way through the game (not just mid level but mid game, 5 missions in!) and the game shut down. Reloaded the app to find my saved file completely deleted and had to START AGAIN. I’ve played this on my Apple TV, iPad Pro and Mac. A real shame.

Please update bugs!!. Please update the bugs out I really enjoy the game when it works though

Waste of time- The game shuts off. I have spent time playing the game, i have the game installed on 2 brand new iPhones but it shuts off when the battle starts in the swamps with the chubby man. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game on all the devices again but it just dies regardless

Low quality. It’s unfortunate that such amazing animation has a trash game. Controls are clunky and unresponsive, camera is glitchy, movement overall feels incredibly poor and frustrating.

Performance. I am playing on iphone 12 man and it lags hard when there is action. Not worth. I thought apple is trying to do something here but the developers obviously don’t give any damn about game now after they got big fat cheque

Why did Apple delete my original review?. They also deleted my original review of Crossy Castle. Not sure why as I liked the game. This game is very good, but for some reason my Nimbus+ keeps disconnecting, sometimes once or twice, other times right after the other and I need to restart game. Not sure if this is a bug of the game or the nimbus or the iPad Pro. This game is fun to play and has lovely graphics.

Satisfying combo based beat em up!. Never seen Samurai Jack, but love beat em ups. Great combo based gameplay, lots of variety in weapons and a level a depth to the combat system. Works best with a paired controller. Runs ok on my iPhone 7, I'm currently updating the app with the latest release and I'm hoping it improves the overall performance of the game.

Great gameplay brings back memories. People complaining about heat up issues and gameplay not being smooth can eat it. 14 pro max even heats but 5 star gameplay Upgrade your phone whoever is whining

Great graphics but game doesn’t save!. Played it for 30 minutes one day and went back the next and had to start over again! Reading up on this and I’ve found that many ppl are having trouble with saving their game. Not going to invest any more time into it if I can’t save my progress since I can’t go through it in one sitting…

No saves?. My game always fails to save, it makes me feel like I’m playing an old 64 bit game or older. I have to play the game all in one go due to this error. I love samurai Jack, and I love this game, but until you fix the save issues, it’s damn near unplayable

Great game. This game is fantastic on iphone/ipad. However, I noticed that there is fairly frequent frame dropping on my iphone 12 pro max. I figured it would no longer be an issue on my m1 mac mini. However, upon launching the game I discovered that you can only run the game in 720p resolution. Looks absolutely terrible on a 50 inch 4k tv even with graphic settings on maximum. I can live with low resolution, but what is infinitely more disapointing is that the game is 10x more stuttery/framey than it was on iphone 12 pro max despite having far more than enough horse power to run the game. It appears to me that the game is not optimized even in the slightest for mac and the devs do not appear to have any interest in optimizing it. I would consider this an easy 4-star review, potentially even a 5-star review if the optimization was better. Gameplay is great with a controller. I use ps5 controller on mac and a backbone on iphone

It’s Ight. It’s a fun game with occasional light lags but the game never saves so I have to restart from the beginning every time. I get so close to beating the game then I fall asleep or my phone dies and I gotta start all over again

Fun but seems unfinished. The game is very fun don’t get me wrong but I found areas where I could not even progress, where there where lots of bugs. I fell through the flour so many times which got really annoying. But others then that pretty fun even though the controls seem clustered on mobile, but the story is good and gameplay with a controller is pretty good. If bugs are fixed I could easily give this 5 stars.

Poor performance. On a MacBook Pro with M1 Pro chip it runs at less than 30 FPS on average, close to 20 or ven below. It's just unplayable. This must be due to poor optimization, as more demanding games (like Residen Evil Village) run smoothly on the same hardware

Could be great...with some extra polish. As it is currently, the game has some mindless fun but really needs some extra love as far as optimization and fixing the bugs are concerned. Lots of frame drops on a 2020 iPad Pro, and as many have said bugs are not uncommon.

Buggggg in game cant complete stage. Tried 10000 different ways And cant complete at caves of the ancient after fighting a flying monster + passing the arrows that shot when you step on yellow bricks. I fall into another world and i get stuck and die. Please fix the bug thx.

Pretty Fun Game. Game is nice! Definitely recommend using a controller of some sort. I'm using a PS4 controller and it's SOO much better than using the keyboard and mouse!

Nerds Only. This is a great looking game, however there are so many moves that you have to learn. The game is constantly interrupting you in the early stages to teach you new moves. Which isn’t a bad thing if you want to spend a mini Vacation getting deep into a complex video game. Personally I was hoping this game would be an easy to understand but challenging action video game. I would be lucky if I had the time to play just one game like this in a year, so it would actually make sense for me to simply buy it on PC for 50 bucks and play it when I’m ready than rent it for a year on apple arcade a maybe never get around to playing it. Great looking game it’s too bad apple won’t allow you to buy it at least for now. Apple Arcade needs to start making arcade games, challenging games that are difficult to master but the general idea of the game and its playing mechanics are immediately understandable, and of course the very definition of an arcade game A quick fun gaming session of some sort. I don’t think most of Apple Arcades potential subscribers have time for a game like this one. I’m sure there are a few Hard-core video game nerds out there that are happy to have access to games like this for 5 bucks a month, but I can almost guarantee there’s not enough of them to keep a business like Apple afloat, so apple needs to start offering some fun action arcade games for us casual gamers. The ones you need as subscribers in order for apple arcade to stay in business.

This is a BETA as far as I’m concerned. Great gameplay that’s plagued with sudden frame rate drops and overheats your phone like a mofo. Clearly this game wasn’t optimized and was pushed out of beta far too soon. Come on! Game is unfinished as far as I’m concerned. Please fix this game!

Option to buy it.. The game is excellent, great graphics and great gameplay, the only problem I found is, we got no chance to buy it, the only option to play is paying the Apple Arcade, and that’s unfair.

Frustrating but can be fun. Neat idea, but both the protagonist & the story line are WAY too serious & grim & the story scenes are way too long.. it claims that you have access to camera movement but, moment to moment that’s only true about maybe 50% of the time. It will frequently prevent you from seeing what & where you need to go, like the path in front of you, numerous attacks from behind that you can’t see, as well as from the sides, above & below, or even just being able to properly look around, which is especially difficult since the awful colouring & lighting is SUPER hard on the eyes. All the villains are bizarre, creepy & PAINfully infantile, & at one point you will come to an acid pit with large rock platforms to jump on to get to various items & power-ups, but once you do they sink immediately, & I mean IMMEDIATELY. He also will not stop moving forward when you try to stop him- when YOU stop, HE takes three more steps making it extremely difficult to maneuver him, especially during a fight or the rock platforms. Once he lands he then will step forward (without your doing) & fall off into the acid over & over & over again because this problem prevents you from being able to double jump twice in succession, you’ll be stuck. Plus, the rock platforms (or whatever they’re called) have no shading nor does any of the background- it’s all completely flat, so you can’t tell how far you have to jump (or attack or just plain continue on) so you keep missing the target. It claims that you can go & do previous levels over but if you do you’ll lose your place. Oh- & though it claims to allow you to aim your weapons, it doesn’t. There are lots of things I DO like about it, but they don’t need fixing & the creators will hopefully see this- other people will fill you in on the good stuff. Be aware that SJ uses an absolutely GARGANTUAN amount of space (even more than all the pics of my late sweet little cat), but more often than not that can equal to an awesome game. :)

Glitchy. Was really excited this came to Apple Arcade so I didn’t have to pick it up on console. Unfortunately it is quite buggy it seems, I’m now stuck at a part where I have fallen through the floor 3 times in a row and it’s not exactly off the beaten path it is on the main objective and it’s the only way to go. Not sure how something like this gets past QA. Other than that the game is fun, I play it on both my iPhone XR and my iPad Pro (2020) and it seems to run pretty good. Definitely recommend using a controller if possibe as I found it quite frustrating to play on the touch screen. Gameplay is overall pretty solid, the graphics are good for the style that samurai jack was, the gameplay systems are relatively in depth and it’s nice to see that on the arcade as it feels like a lot of the games released have been shallow.

Game doesn't seem to know what kind of an interface it wants. When the game starts, no mouse support - okay - so I will be using the keyboard. I get into a game - surprise! You are using the mouse. Seriously- if you are going to make a game like this support the mouse for the interface for heavens sake. It really makes it hard to use, can't easily figure out half the stuff because it is so wonky.

Liked it better than Oceanhorn 2. Such a console level gameplay

Amazing. From the gameplay to cutscenes it’s an amazing experience. I grew up with Samurai Jack so pure nostalgia. Great game worth playing for sure. I’m using iPhone XR and it runs perfectly. I’m addicted

Doesn’t Launch Past Start Up. Unfortunately the game does not load past the developer start up pages. Trying to run it on an iPad Pro 2nd Generation. Tried multiple installs, no luck.

Fun Game. Have been enjoying the game so far. Enjoyable characters and great cut-scenes. Game is kind of glitchy though and frame-rates drop when too many characters are on screen. If it weren't for that, I'd give the game five stars. Good job, Adult Swim! :)

DaAMN NEAR PERFECTION !!!. This is everything I want in a mobile/portable Apple Arcade game.its a real console game with in-game graphics cutscenes and controller support, a rock solid 60fps framerate, razor sharp near PS4 quality graphics, great gameplay and controller support. It’s higher resolution than my Switch portable version too. The only real flaw for me on iPhone 11 Pro is that my phone overheated to the point of shutting down twice while playing this game...Seriously, this is AMAZING ! Anyone who has Apple Arcade should get this.

insane framerate issues M1 max. the game is virtually unplayable on the M1 Max, the frames barely ever reach an acceptable level :(

Too Many Bugs. I love the game and it’s so fun, but my game keeps on failing to save my data, it’s pretty frustrating and when I die in the game it crashes and I lose my progress please fix it I really want to play this game.

Meh. Ten minutes into the game and you're still interrupted by tips taking you our of the immersion. The gameplay feels a bit wonky. It took me forever to realize the double arrow icon means tab (??). The art style is great as per the TV show, albeit very iPhone-game looking. I was waiting for this game but I'm a bit let down as it feel like every other mobile game out there.

It’s fun but just a slight problem. So I use an iPhone X and I’ve noticed the graphics are a bit clammy, I thought it wasn’t the games fault and I deleted some games but still a bit clammy. I couldn’t change the graphic settings or anything but I know this is brand new and there will be some bugs, other then that I have no complaints

There’s an Major problem. On cave of the ancient after you fight the person trying to steal your essence you try and go through the door that opened up, you coup through the map and free fall through the map and land looking over the whole map please fix it has halted my progression completely. Other than that this is a 5 star game

Fix Jumping control. When I try to do a single high jump: tap hold the jump button, upon release jack will do the double jump disallowing me to use the full jump height at all. I can just tap the jump button the on the double jump I’ll hold the tap but it only gets me as high as the initial attempt. Otherwise I love this game.

Unplayable(please patch the game). At this moment, i couldnt play the game. It starts out okay, no problems at all. Until i start a new game and finished the intro, and then the screen was just black. The music still plays, but i couldnt continue with the game. And then it crashed. I hope it gets updated soon. I subscribed to apple arcade just to play this game. And iam disappointed that the game itself wasnt ready to play on my iphone X. Hope to be fixed soon!!

Game is fun but my saved game disappeared. (iPad Air 5th Gen). Don’t want to start over after playing for a few hours. I played yesterday for a few hours and then closed the game out. Thinking I would be brought to my last checkpoint I loaded it up just a few minutes ago and it said game didn’t save. Hopefully this gets fixed because it’s infuriating.

Great game except.... It keeps crashing right after Jack destroys the necklace that fell off the battle beetle or whatever it’s called. I’m playing on a 2018 iPad Pro 12.9 with latest os update. Really hope this is a quick fix as I’m really enjoying it and would love to give 5 stars.

Weapons equip. I enjoy the game a lot but I can’t for the life of me equip any type of ranged weapon no matter how many times I press equip it does not equip its kinds irritating and honestly that’s the only reason I’m giving it a 4 star review if someone knows how to equip a ranged weapon tell me because I do not know if I am doing something wrong other then pressing the equip button

Mac User - I Don't Have a Middle Click. I really wanted to like this game but as someone playing strictly on a Macbook with trackpad and Magic Mouse, the middle click is basically impossible for me. Once it got to the point where I HAD to use the middle click in order to progress, I couldn't go any further. I wonder if other users have this issue or if maybe I am doing something wrong. Online forums on the Apple middle click were not much help as all the 3rd party apps that enable middle click are apparently obsolete. You would think that since this game is in the Apple Arcade this would have been addressed? Would be nice if I could reassign these controls. Guess I'm uninstalling until then! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Great Game but it won’t load. I love this game. I was on the prison ship level and stopped playing last night, now today when I try to load my game it just kicks me right out to the phone screen. Great game but you gotta fix these bugs. Some of the other glitchy things I can deal with but if I can’t even load my game...

Fun 11 pro max problem.. Love the game but it makes my phone heat up. This phone isn’t even a week old. It gets really hot can’t play to long. Needs some optimization I think. Still worth a play a lot of content enjoy it in short burst. I would play a long time of phone didn’t get so warm.

Extremely Fun. Brings me back to my young enthusiams for Samuri Jack. It also shows the capabilites of apple arcade to have a nintendo style game (it's not about the graphics, but they are really good on desktop) it's all about having fun. This game is fun!

Samurai Jack battle through time. This game bro this game is freaking cool not even cool it’s dope are used to watch samurai Jack when I was a kid to see that the game is on mobile now this game is now beyond you can upgrade your skills equip new weapons and you can change your fighting style

Awesome Storyline & Gameplay. I struggled a little a first until I found out I could replay the levels to earn more coin and power ups. I love all the characters and the story line. Definitely intriguing, some humor, and cool characters.

Excellent game play. So I'm only on the second level and love the game so far. Even enjoy watching the cut scenes. I'm using an Xbox controller and sometimes after purchasing an item the controller stops responding, but if I exit out of the menu via touch, the gameplay resumes and the controller works just fine. Only reason for 4 stars.

Great game but eats IPhone 11 Pro battery alive. Nice game. Controls are a bit much for onscreen but not too awful. Game looks amazing. I have experienced a crash but not that much. My only gripe is that it eats my battery alive. If I play for maybe 15 or 20 min, my battery drops 10 to 15 %. Give us a battery saver option, or allow a toggle for 60 FPS vs 30. I’m pretty sure it’s running at 60 FPS. That would help.

Fun play, but arrow aiming for objects is poor on iPad. Mostly fun, but aiming arrows at objects is frustrating. Shooting enemies is not a problem and is automatic, at least on Easy and Samurai levels of difficulty. But I cannot aim arrows low to shoot the skulls on mountain peaks in Boon’s Castle, or the metal trap door in Cave of the Ancient to get the Great Samurai Sword treasure. Disappointed.

Great game. Crashes occasionally. I’m glad I didn’t play it on my phone. It seems that the tvOS is the perfect platform for it. The graphics are sweet, Jack and others are well represented. Some are a little… weird, but that’s Samurai Jack. The graphics, although good, are sometimes a bit glitchy. I know it’s a new game, that could be part of it. I’ve had it lock up a few times and completely close out. It’s not terrible, I usually take the hint that I need to take a break when it happens. Great game, good fun. Worth the download

Save Failing Repeatedly. This game no doubt has had some thought put into it, and the story line is interesting enough to make it a good game. However, it’s very frustrating when save points repeatedly fail and take me back all the way to the beginning, at which point playing does not seem worth the time at all. This mechanic needs to be improved to make it more playable!

JACK IS BACK. love the game on IOS looks Great! Found some bugs that have stopped my gameplay on the third level that cause me to fall through the map right after the spear room but so far it’s been great!

Amazing game on IOS. Great game. 100% chance to make you grin slashing through robotic beetles while your clothes get ripped from damage to your health. Fun combos and new weapons that make you look like a master. It does get a bit glitchy when too many enemies come up at once so deduct one star but the game fixes itself quickly. Samurai jack is a MUST PLAY.

Must Get. This game is great and it literally holds up to the original show from start to finish!!! You must use the hand held controller that attaches to your phone to really get the full affect of the game!!! Im addicted from start to finish but you def need the controller

The Only Good Game on Apple Arcade. I only have Apple Arcade because it’s in the Apple One subscription. The whole service is loaded with tedious, repetitive, indie junk and this awesome game! Well written, really evokes the fun of the TV series, and definitely worth your time.

Bugs and maybe changes. U need to fix the boss battle with Aku cuz I keep falling through 5w map and Ali’s tower is hard cause when I first played it I had to burn through coins for heals cause the enemy’s were to hard I was on easy and it was super hard on the boss battle with the guy who says he will get my essence pls make it easier and fix the bugs.

Good but could be better. It’s good don’t get me wrong lots of fun, but it crashes randomly or will freeze during fight sequences. It will freeze fairly consistently when you’re fighting any of the enemies that grab you and if it does you pretty much have to start from the previous check point which gets annoying.

Love it, but there’s some bugs. First of all, I love this game already. I’ve always been a fan of Samurai Jack. I would rate 5 stars if I didn’t run into a bug. In the cave of the ancients game, after the spear floor, the hallway that leads to the next room is like a ghost hallway, and I keep falling through the floor out of the map. I know this is a very new game, but that is kind of a big bug.

Bugs. Not sure what is going on. However, I have both an iPad Pro 2020 model and a iPhone Pro Max and the iPad version doesn’t play the FMV. Just a black screen with subtitles. The iPhone version completely kills the audio on my phone and I have to restart my phone in order to correct itself and still doesn’t play audio when the game is started.

Glitches too much. I have the iPhone 11 and it glitches and kicks me out of the app every time I beat the second level and it restarts me from the beginning of the level. I have given up on the game entirely because what’s the point if it kicks you out of the game just to restart and play the same level over and over again.

Best Freaking game ever!!!!!. Loved how everything looks so legit and putting in the story mode and the scenes are just on point, I love the show and I'm so glad that I found this game but I hope there's still more versions to come 🙏

Lost all save data after crash. Super fun...except that it crashed during the beetle boss battle 2nd stage after I cut them in half and they recombined. Not a large issue itself until I reopened the game on my 7th gen iPad and ALL SAVED DATA WAS GONE. No saved games. Back to zero. What the hell??? Also, you need to allow us to change the sensitivity of the view control. I need Jack to be able to look around more quickly.

A mediocre game. GameCube game was far better.. Honestly, this plays nothing like past Samurai Jack games. It it holds your hand through the levels from a plat-former perspective as you cannot walk off edges. There isn’t even a double jump. Beyond that, the game is mediocre. It seems that visuals were prioritized over gameplay mechanics. Just play the GameCube Samurai Jack if you want to play a good game.

Glitches & Holes. By the third chapter, with the first battle with Demongo it would glitch me through the map and could no longer make progress. Loved the game and had great potential, but shouldn’t be glitched so much. Would re-download of there’s news of an update. After unlocking Aku’s door proceeding the battle and destroying the statute on the way further in the map. I would glitch through the map in the tunnel tried several ways to maneuver around it, but was it was too glitched.

Awesome!. Now this is a game. It’s a mobile game that offers a console experience. At times the buttons are hard to press because they’re so close on iPhone screen—but I’m going to start playing it on my iPad for a better experience.

Umm lag much?. I’m playing on iPhone 13pro max. No problem with any games. Play Oceanhorn 2 just fine. Why is this game suffering from SEVERE frame rate drops on such a powerful device??? And why is no one else complaining about this but me when I look at other reviews? It can’t just be MY phone. Cmon y’all. Or are most of y’all such die hard fans of the show that you overlook performance?

Looks fun, except the bugs. I want to love this game. The videos are great, the story looks fun, and the game play is entertaining. That said, as others have mentioned, the bugs. I am at the Scotsman and now my game just keeps crashing. I have an iPad Pro 2020, so performance should not be the issue. Also, if I swap apps, the game does not run in the background, it restarts immediately.

What a game on App Store should be. I really am enjoying this game. I am playin one an IPAD pro 2019 model. I must say it runs great. Some parts when the mobs get a bit to much i do notice lag. But that is not the games fault. Great job! Cant wait to see more projects like these in the future!

Bug issues on Cave of the Ancient. Have been enjoying this game until I reached the Cave of the Ancient... fell thru the floor glitch at one point and then my game has force closed multiple times after beating the boss which is extremely frustrating... would give 5 stars if I could actually keep playing...

Awesome just one fault. My only complaint is I can't watch the original opening with mako again, just the one w/ the other guy, don't know his name. I got all pumped when the original started, my mind went right back to when I watched the show for the first time. Other than that, really great game! Love it!

The game is amazing but.... I’ve found a bug, on the level where you first encounter Demongo and you defeat him. When I open the door and walk through it I fall through the floor, I’m holding onto my last two stars until it’s fixed I’m so sorry

Almost great. It came out today, and I’ve played about half an hour so far. Everything about the game is great, except for the bugs. I’ve already seen a lot of frame rate stutters, and the camera freezes almost every time I try to adjust it. Fix some bugs, (but don’t change anything else), and this will easily be the best game on Apple Arcade.

They did one thing right!. And that one thing was letting disastrously consequential bugs through to release! Wow! Could have been a cool game, but between awful controller support, awful control schemes, and awful combat mechanics, it falls way short. The nostalgia will get you through the first half of the game, but once that fades you’ll realize how junk it poorly this was executed.

Map glitch on stage 3. I love it but there is a glitch in the map and it is really frustrating because I’ll fall to somewhere else and I’ll have to restart the checkpoint (this happened 4 times btw). I really want to continue the game so pls fix it.🙏 Thank you for your time

Great game but it needs some more work. Hi so I love this game so far from the graphics to the storyline but it keeps kicking me off the game every time I beat the first boss. The Scottish one I think. It’s really frustrated because every time I go back my last save point was right before the fight so I have to keep fighting him over and over hoping that the game won’t close me out again and that I can progress.

I keep falling through the map. I keep falling through the map on Cave Of The Ancient ,level .Right after I brake the statue to open the door if I try to go through I fall through the floor and land on top of a boss area at the bottom of the map then if I fall of that I respond and have to do the fight all over again and just keep falling. I’m pretty sure you get it

This Game is Awesome!!!!!. I just beat the game and its so fun! Through gameplay and all. Throughout the gameplay it reminded me so much of the Adult Swim channel with Samurai Jack and its just so nostalgic! Good job on making this game and definitely worth the money! I recommend playing this game!

Problem 🚫🚫⛔️⛔️🚫. The game saves my progress, but it does not load it into my progress nor shows up in the startup of the app to give me an option to continue or start a new game. If I happen to die with playing as Jack, I noticed the game will blank out of the app and go to my Home Screen making me restart the app.

Fun but my iPhone XS is choking. Very well done! This is the equivalent of Oceanhorn 2 in a samurai Jack form. Gameplay is tight, camera is on point. Other than a couple of minor clipping issues and some performance issues, this game is perfect. Please add some graphic setting adjustments so that way my iPhone doesn’t have a heart attack 15 into playing this, and this gets 5 stars

Challenges Don’t Work. It’s a good game. I’ve played several hours including lots of grinding. There are some glitches and crashes, but nothing too terrible. My main annoyance is two challenges don’t work. “Dog’s Best Friend” shows 11 / 12 and “Bad and Badder” shows 17 / 19 even though I’ve found 12 and 19 respectively.

Love it. So I just bought Apple arcade and I downloaded a couple games so I decided this play this one it loaded the first six but what I didn’t expect was in my opinion one of the best games on the App Store it’s so fun and I recommend

Don’t stray from the path. The controls are fluid and game is engaging. The game is basically a dungeon crawler following a mostly linear path, but if you stray from the path good luck finding your way back. With no mini map navigating the long paths is tedious. The game offers a button that turns the camera to the direction of the next objective. Not particularly useful when the direction is a door which can’t operated.

I like the game. But I can’t switch back from 60FPS to 30 FPS as I have an iPhone 10 XS Max. There is no setting to switch back your FPS. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling to see if I would get the option and nothing. Great game but please update the setting to be able to switch all settings. I’m locked at 60 FPS and I need 30 FPS to get full enjoyment of the game. Thanks.
