Fan way to make extra cash and give your input. This app is fun to use and be able to give feedback. Sometimes you get several rejections in order to get some tests that you can take. I’ve had it glitch out on two tests so far. One test took a long long time to do and it glitched and I never got paid for it. The other was a short test and it also glitched out. But so far everything otherwise has been pretty neat. There’s tons of different tests and I feel good about giving my feedback. I’ve done two moderated sessions one was thirty minutes one was an hour. Those were fun and a good way to give my input. I recommend UserTesting.

Not Worth it and Bad Customer support. Not worth it. The pre-qualifying test to take the actual tests are too long. It can take 30 minutes+ to find a test you qualify for or you could spend 30 minutes and not even find a test. Most tests are $10 and are supposed to be 10 minutes or less. They often take longer. The only ones worth it are the live conversation which are $30 for 30 minutes and $60 for 60 minutes but those are few and far in between. The App and website are inefficient. They don’t always work. Spent 40 minutes doing a test was supposed to only be 10 minutes for $10 and it wouldn’t upload because the sight stopped working. I tried to upload 3x and it failed. I reached out to support and they were unsympathetic and unaccommodating. Those it was their sites problem they did nothing to compensate me for my time. Support takes forever to respond and unhelpful when they do.

It works, but beware.. I’ve been able to successfully upload many tests with this app... however, recently for every 5 you submit, at least one or maybe two will not be uploaded. I’ve done tests where I’m supposed to be paid more than $10 for the length of it. After 45 minutes it faults out and I know customer support won’t care. Too many updates and they can’t fix their errors. Suggestion to developer: Fix your app and the issues we report. Suggestion to testers: Try and mainly complete laptop/desktop tests. Those usually upload without any issues.

Great— could be even greater!. I recently switched to the iOS version of this app after being an Andorid user for a long time, and I’m surprised with how well it runs. If there was one feature I would give anything to have, it would be the ability to take screeners even if I’m not on the correct device. I’m not always on my laptop, but if I was able to qualify for a PC screener while using my phone, I would absolutely go complete it in the 15 minute reservation period. Can’t wait to see this app get better!

Love this app, great and easy way to make money!. I started using this app/website in July and I’ve never had an easier way to make money. It takes a bit to onboard you into the system/platform and once you do your first test it takes 7 business days for your test to be reviewed or it could take longer depending on if you have any issues but once this process is done and you’ve been reviewed, a User Testing rep will rate you and give feedback which I really like. I started mid-late July and I’ve already made over $100. Definitely worth it for me, try it, you won’t regret it!

Stupidly easy money. Love the insanely easy money to be made! I may do 1 test or 5 tests in a day. It’s great for extra cash! (I started this around October 2019 and now- May 2020 I’ve probably made around $700.) The only thing I hope to see improved is the ability to filter jobs that are live meetings vs. the standard think out loud tests. From my phone I can’t tell if the jobs available on the other devices are live or not, so this would also be nice to see changed. Overall great app. Insanely easy $$$$

The perfect side hustle. I absolutely love UserTesting. People complain about rejections but it’s not up to the company if you qualify, that is based on what their client is looking for.. people need to understand that their is a specific demographic for every study and be patient waiting for the study that needs them! If you leave the website open it dings with every new test. I keep it open in the background while doing other things and apply immediately to each test. I easily make $20+ dollars a day this way. It won’t pay the bills on its own but it’s an amazing and super easy way to get some extra income :)

Great Side Money. I think we’ve all tried to make money through survey apps that pay like 15 cents per survey. Not ideal. This app actually pays well! Each 15 minute test is $10 and some are even $30 or $60. That being said, there are limited tests and you must pass a survey to make sure you are qualified for each test. So, if Can take a while to get a test. But, if you simply have the app open (or the web version) and try a few tests throughout your work day or at home, you can easily make $20-$30 per day, which is great side money for 30 min of work.

Trouble with accessing tests lately. This app used to be fine, but there have been multiple times lately I’ve started the screen recorder but haven’t been able to then move forward to the test—it just goes back to the screen that says how to use the screen recorder, and there’s nothing to click on—no button or background—that lets me access the test. (And I always update the app when there’s one available; apparently these updates are adding bugs, not fixing them, as this a more recent phenomenon.) It doesn’t work to close then reopen the app either—I tried out of desperation, but I just got a screen saying I’m in the middle of a test with no way to actually access it; all I could do was cancel the test, and, once you do this, there’s no way to restart/retry the test. Finding a test that I qualify for can take some time, so it’s extremely frustrating to finally qualify, then have to cancel solely because of the app’s technical problems. I will say that their website works fine, and I’ve made decent money for a side gig (including using the app in the past) so I do recommend doing tests on their site. Unfortunately, many of the tests are app only, so until this issue is fixed, I can’t recommend the app.

Horrible. UserTesting takes an audio and screen recording for your audition to use the site, but doesn’t make it clear it may be using video of your face as well. When you finally get into the site, there are many tests but while answering questions you learn you don’t qualify to finish the test. Trouble is you’ve already shared information about your lifestyle to those companies. It has been two weeks and a test has yet to pass the “Unfortunately you do not qualify for this test” phase. There’s no one to talk to in support, they don’t answer emails, and a pending chat with the customer service rep actually showed up was just quickly closed on its own, struggling to reconnect. The people who make the most money off the tests need the money the least, because they’ve been through the most range of experiences to qualify for the most tests, and it takes a more lucrative lifestyle to have those experiences. There may be too much competition right now as well. It’s a large waste of time.

Quality App. I personally love UserTesting. As a UserTesting contributor, it is important to read over the terms and conditions prior to becoming a qualified tester. It will make your tests more effectively done, and your time using UserTesting more efficient (as well as avoid many of the concerns other individuals displayed in these reviews. Knowing what is expected of you during tests as well as what to expect afterwards in regards to payment is essential. All in all, UserTesting has served me very well over the last 8 months. While it is nearly impossible to qualify for each and every test, if you are a well-rounded individual with lots of hobbies, variety of work experience, and are looking to make a bit of side cash; you will be supplemented with plenty of testing opportunities. I love this app, and have made a great source of income from it as well! Hands-down the best at-home method of making money.

Waste of time; do you WANT people to use your app?. Waited 3 days to know my sound wasn’t working on the practice test. They told me to try again, so I did. Waited another 3 days to find out I failed the practice test (for the record, my primary profession is unit testing web apps). No other info, just you didn’t pass the practice test. App doesn’t have next steps, which tells me they’re not interested in continuing the conversation. Funny, huh? Here’s some advice to the product team behind this joke of a company—when you guys get serious about people downloading your app, let me know—until then you’ll always be small fish in a plentiful sea of competitors who have this niche figured out.

Disappointed. So far, not impressed. I’ve had this app for a little over a month. Completed the practice test and profile verification ect. as soon I downloaded it. I was approved a few days later. Since then I’ve had 2 test come available (today). I immediately tried to do both, which said “Anyone can do this test.” Unfortunately, both test disqualified me at question 1, which was what language I spoke. Apparently English was a deal breaker. Other than these two $10 test that “anyone” could participate, except English speaking people, my app has been completely empty for any opportunity to even be disqualified for a month and a half. I’ve checked it everyday adamantly, so I’m positive of that. Unless something changes drastically and I begin to see some opportunities, any at all, I’m probably going to ditch this one pretty quick.

Horrible Horrible Horrible. I recently have started UserTesting, and this app was at first, really well, but then the dark side showed; I got 2 tests that were 1 starred. They try to purposely shut your account down if you do a lot of tests like what I did. A couple days later, I get an email saying that my account is disabled because I have been testing on more than one account. They were lying because I told my brother about this app and I even emailed UserTesting to see if they were ok if 2+ IPs were okay and they said it was. Now, we are both deactivated and this site is useless and unreliable. The support is absolutely horrible. 1/5 side hustle in my books.

The app is okay…. I enjoy UserTesting as a whole! I love using it to make money and it is legit and not a scam! I use it every day can can at least get one test every other day! It has helped me stay afloat financially ! My only issue it that the app is not consistent with my laptop. For example my computer will often tell me to log into my app to see tests available for my phone, but when I go to the mobile app they are not showing. This is frustrating. Even after I refresh my mobile app and my laptop browser I still have this issue. Overall I do like taking the tests on my phone Better but I feel the app does not function as well as the web browser it’s always behind on showing patents, available/ completed tests , etc.

Test are removed too quickly. I am new to the app but haven’t had a ton of luck with it. I spent multiple days doing literally nothing but the tests, but still have only earned $10. This is because most of the “eligible” tests disappear in seconds, even when answering another screener shown (and you see it disappear before your eyes). Also, whether on my phone, iPad or the computer, it is not clear which device or browser is needed for the test; so I often have a full list that I can’t interact with regardless of the access method. It also is not cool how much time goes into the screeners only to be eliminated after spending ten, thirty, even sixty minutes answering their questions and then getting nada, zero ($0.00), zilch. I find it very frustrating and don’t know how you could seriously make any money even if all you do is respond to their “tests” and screeners. So not sure if I’ll keep it. But there are screeners and tests that do offer payment, and I supposedly made $10 eventually by doing it all day every day for several days… whether I receive the money remains to be seen but that is why I gave 3 stars…and nothing more (deducted for the extraordinary amount of time needed, and the unknown).

Latest Update. I’ve been doing UserTesting for a few years now, and I really enjoy taking the tests! However, the most recent update to the app only works with iOS 13, which I can’t get. I think my iPhone 6 is just too old maybe. I also cannot download the most recent compatible version (it just prompts me to do so over and over but nothing happens). So now, I’m basically cut off from half the available tests since I can’t even access the app without updating. Can this be fixed or at least fix the option to use the older version of the app so I can continue to test?

There is an error in the app that they do nothing to fix. If you sign up and your PayPal is unverified it will prompt you to verify your PayPal. However, upon verifying it appears to be self-referentially deciding your PayPal is already in use when it tries to link to your newly verified account, and throws out an error. Unfortunately, the feature to change your PayPal is also broken so the applicant gets stuck. You cannot delete your app and start over though, because the deletion explicitly states you will never be allowed an account again. I have been submitting requests for error resolution for two months now and get nothing but a cookie-cutter “we have forwarded the issue to our engineering team” response. If you are signing up, make sure your PayPal is verified BEFORE you start your app or you will get stuck in an error loop. There is entire Reddit thread dedicated to the error. I do find it ironic that an app dedicated to usability testing has such severe issues with usability and error response.

Nice side hustle. Let’s get the cons out of the way - you need to go through several rejections for every test for which you qualify; sometimes there’s a glitch during a test or when uploading your completed test; customer service is a bot which is very frustrating. I run into several problems and very rarely does a human actually address your problem. With that out of the way, I have to say this is an easy way to make $50+ a week in extra cash. It is really great when you qualify for one of their live Zoom tests. They pay $30 for 30 minutes, $60 for 60 minutes, and $100 for 90 minutes. These live sessions are fun too, especially if you are outgoing. I just started a couple of weeks ago and I have made $100+ each of the last couple of weeks. This is great for extroverts (you have to think out loud), teachers who aren’t working in the summer, stay at home parents, and anyone with a little extra time on his/her hands.

Great Side Hustle. I have been testing on User Testing for about 1 month now and my experience has been primarily positive. It did take a little getting used to the expectations for testing, learning how to provide the level of detail expected from an exceptional tester, but before long I really got it down. The practice test and feedback you get was very helpful in understanding how to be successful on the app. You do need to be on top of the tests that you pre-qualify for as they don’t stick around for long. And though you pre-qualify for a lot of tests, once you answer the screener questions you may find that you only truly get accepted to test maybe 15-20% of what you are originally offered. However, it’s still good money and it’s worth the 20 min or so that it takes to complete a test. So overall it is worth it and payments have come through exactly as they noted without problem so far. I like it, I find it fun, and will continue to use it to bring in extra cash.

UserTesting is a relatively easy way to earn extra cash.. I have been the UserTesting app and platform for about three weeks. It has proved to be a source of extra income. You need a measure of patience in order to wade through the tests that you are not qualified for before you get some that are lucrative. Anytime I can earn $10 or more in a matter of 30 minutes I feel that I have accomplished something. Also I like the fact that I am able to offer what I hope is valuable information that will aid in the development of new products and websites.

From a current college student’s perspective. There’s a lot of reviews saying they earn an exorbitant amount of money on this site, but speaking from my perspective that’s not possible very often. I am a student and part time worker, so I qualify for those sorts of tests. It’s a great site, however I earn about $40-80 a week depending on which sort of tests I get. My highest earning week was $110. I typically get one test every day or every other day, and I take every one I can get. Tests that earn more than $10 are pretty rare for me. If you have too many tabs open sometimes the pc site gets glitchy and the notif doesn’t come through/the tab doesn’t load properly.

Quick Cash. I started about 1 week ago and I already made $130; it’s a really easy way to make some quick cash if your willing to sit infront of your computer for about 30 mins a day. I was introduced to UserTesting by a friend unfortunately he made it seem so simple as if I was only just answering questions, but while answering the questions one must speak their thoughts aloud. Before you’re qualified for a test there are screeners that you must answer to confirm that you may or may not had experience with the situation you’re about to test. Some surveys pay more that others I’ve only been qualified for the $10 survey, which UserTesting offer $60,$30, $90 as well hopefully one day I’ll be able to experience one of those😀! It’s a really great experience There’s no perfect life. UserTesting has problems & glitches sometimes with the tests too just be sure to report it, and sometimes depending upon the issue you will get a portion of the payment.

UserFriendly. This app works great. It’s easy to use and so much more reliable than other apps of its kind with different platforms. You do have to go through several rejections to get a test, but that’s just the nature of the beast and not a fault of the app. My only complaint is that sometimes when a test ends it gets stuck on a blank screen instead of taking me back to the tests page. I have to completely close the app in order to get back to the home page. But it always works after that.

Update is terrible. I’m a long time user and the update to this app is awful. They have made it basically nothing. You used to be able to see how much money is in your account, and your rating, that’s gone. You can’t view your profile even though there is a whole tab for it, it just says view it on the website so that’s a complete waste of space. And they have a tab for tests for a different device that’s also completely useless. I really don’t understand why the update happened at all just to simply it to the point of it being literally nothing. I liked the app for the reason of being able to see your rating bc it doesn’t give you the actual number on the website and it did on the app but that’s missing entirely now. It’s just bulky for no purpose other than to take the one test you have on there and that’s it. Everything else is pointless. You can’t see the money you have or your rating or your profile. And the other devices is useless lol

Best usability testing app. I’ve used 4 similar apps so far. Among them, this is the best. You get a lot of tests and get paid on a fixed date. Other sites either dont have many tests available daily or require a long process even to do a simple test. The one thing I want this app to improve is to filter the tests based on tester’s demographic and other info better so that they don’t need to spend too much time to see whether they qualify for the tests. That is time consuming and annoying.

Great way to make extra cash if you’re patient. I joined UserTesting in December 2020 and through August 2022 I made a little over $3k. I took a year off due to a new job but now I’m back into it and already have $80 in pending payments after two days. The desktop tests are definitely where I have more luck getting opportunities, but if you’re just consistent in doing the screenings you’ll definitely find this to be a great way to make some extra cash!

Awesome app overall. I really enjoy this app. Easy and simple I have to do is be honest and speak my mind I appreciate this app so much pays pretty quick. I wish I had an option to quick pay myself & deduct a dollar or two but they need time to review my reviews so makes sense. I advise anyone who gets the opportunity to use this. DO NOT do it on your phone. Personal experience I did not get paid and it had a hard time to submit, it never submitted honestly so that was 40 minutes of my time I’ll never get back. And another test online through my laptop also had a hiccup however I have received payments aside from those two $10 incidents. I couldn’t even file a complaint the site went down for awhile because the covid-19 pandemic but when it came back up. It was really nice to put my time towards. Hopefully someone sees this and resolve the issues I had & if not I’ll just do it from my laptop

Side hustle? Yes!. I am a college student, and I was really skeptical at first. But I actually really like this. I gather around $50 per day spending about an hour doing it on average. I see a lot of reviews saying you dont qualify for the tests. And I would say I dont qualify for about 80%-90% of the tests. But while I am doing work or studying, I keep the tab open and literally screen for every one of the tests that come through. I get at LEAST 2 per day. One day I qualified for 8. Its a lot of work but tbh its worth it. Also, the app on the phone is a little glitchy, but the website is good. Some tests that are for the phone on the website wont show up in the app.

App sometimes wonky but surveys are great. Been a UserTesting panelist for over a year now and I can say that they’ve vastly improved the App (aka Recorder) on the desktop as well as mobile. Occasionally experience a glitch and can’t complete the Survey, but UT Support is very helpful in reviewing and compensation (if warranted). These glitches are fewer and fewer now, and once you get used to the multi step process of performing a survey via your mobile device, it actually becomes rather intuitive and quite fun. The compensation makes it worth it.

Great extra cash. I’ve been doing UserTesting for a few years and I love it. I really feel you get out of it what you put in. If you check the app/website multiple times a day every day, you’re almost certain to get at least one or two tests in a day. Since they’re $10/standard test, that’s a few hundred dollars a month. Yes, it’s not the same as full time job pay, but it’s not full time work! I really like it for doing in my spare time to make some money at a fair wage for the time spent.

It’s nice when it works but it has issues and crashes often. I’ve been UserTesting for a bit over a year. This app is pretty buggy and I’ve had countless experiences with the app crashing or being unable to upload the video, which ruins the test and at times makes me waste a lot of time when it malfunctions right after I finished the test. So frustrating! The greatest offenders are the apps we have to download and take the test within the downloaded app. Those are crazy buggy. When the app does work, however, it’s a pretty good app with an attractive and pleasant interface. UserTesting as a whole is by far the best user testing platform. This app also really needs some kind of notification capability so that we know when there’s a new test when we’re on mobile! Developers, if you read this, please consider this feature. It’d be really useful and convenient for the users.

ONE STAR.. see why below and save yourself the time. A lot of fraud is going on through this company.I was asked to use credit card information and the next day i got $500 stolen from my account. It’s real sketchy to sum this review up. It takes a LONG time to get accepted as a tester. By the time you get approved you will be suspended without no explanation. Don’t waste your time with this company. I did some tests got some amazing feedback so I was 5 stars. The minute I told my mother about this app, she joined and for some reason they suspended my account and refused to elaborate to me why exactly I got suspended ..I’ve told a few friends about the app and they came to not like it really fast.. it’s not worth your time . These people need to be shut down. One star for sure .

Fraud Alert. The app will ask you for access to screen recording, which is fine, but one of the tests I did, they asked me to fill in sensitive credit card info. The app and the test assured me that it's normal procedure, only $0.01 will be charged, etc. They said to turn off screen recording during this step, and I did, it said screen recording was paused, however there was still a blue indication on the top left corner. This indicated that the app was still working even though I paused it. Not thinking much of it, I continued to take the test and had to resume the screen recording step. However, I felt uneasy afterwards and changed my bank password. Thank God I did... In 3 days I checked my bank and it said I had to reset my password because somebody had been trying to get into my account many times and failed. This had never happened to my bank account before, and I don't believe this was just some coincidence. You need to vet the companies you accept tests from, some of them are definitely trying to scam.

Waste of Time, Bad User Experience. Ironic that a company called UserTesting could benefit so much from doing some user testing on their own product. You will get spammed with a dozen of the exact same screener and have to decline all of the duplicates manually. You’ll get offered tests that you clearly don’t meet the criteria for based on your profile. Test screening questions are often poorly written and contradict themselves, resulting in you moving forward with a test you probably shouldn’t have qualified for, or getting declined for one that may have been a good fit. The time wasted filtering through all the junk to find a test you can get paid for is not worth it.

Honestly So Great!. I am shocked to see that this app only has 3 stars. I think people may be looking for instant gratification. I have been using it for a couple months now consistently and I am making over $400 per month with it while giving companies really valuable feedback on their systems and products. A lot of the reviews are from people who just started using it and have to wait an initial period and maybe get some better ratings from the companies they are reviewing before getting more tests they qualify for. At the beginning it was a bit slower and you have to wait some days after the first test for the company to review it and give feedback. Now I have 10 5 star ratings for being a helpful tester and it shows with the influx of tests I qualify for. I am averaging 5-8 a day very easily. I only do this when I have the time to and I don’t even have to do it everyday. I am a mom of 2 who works from home and this supplemental income is really helping our family! I am really grateful to User Testing!

Solid 3. There are pros and cons to UserTesting. It is great way to make a few extra bucks for pretty easy work. I have never had an issue getting paid late or not at all. You really need to pay attention in training to be successful but once you get the hang of it this is a great thing. My only issue is the number of qualification surveys you have to go through before you get a testing you can do. I completely understand they are targeting a certain demographic for surveys but there are so many that could just be excluded without ever seeing them on your dashboard. Each person has a profile they fill out which includes basic demographics. If they are looking for a company executive for a survey there is no reason I should see it, my demographic information states my employment and education level. There are times the first question will be what country you live in, again if they are not looking for my country why waste my time. Other than that it’s a great thing to do, just be prepared there are times you will take a ton of pre qualification surveys and have no tests you qualify for.

Perfect for extra income.. Not exactly sure why there are so many negative reviews..people need to lower their expectations for survey sites. This isn’t a full time job, you won’t be able to pay your mortgage with it, but you will be able to pay some bills and have extra income depending on how much time you put into it… Unlike other websites who pay you $0.02 per 40 minute survey, this is a survey site that actually pays good money for their tests. The tests usually pay $10, but can go upwards if you do it live. You won’t get picked for every one, but the ones you do get picked for are simple and fun to do. I’ve done it here and there for less than a month, and have made $100+. If I had the time, or did do the live ones, I would have made a lot more. It’s a great app and I’m appreciative of what I have made!

A Shadow of its Former Self. I’ve had an account with them for over 5 years and I have made over a $1k in testing. I will admit that many years ago finding tests to take was a lot easier. Now, it feels like I’m constantly searching and browsing to find the “one” test in which I can actually take. Using this app has become very frustrating. There are constant errors and glitches that have caused me to either end the test early or be unable to start it. And, if you encounter any issue, the machine will register it as a “failed test” and WILL NOT allow you to retry. Also, sometimes the machine will perform an app hang on uploading and infinitely attempt an upload. Sometimes, the upload actually goes through and you won’t know until you restart it. Other times, say bye-bye to your work. There’s an irony to a Human Computer Interaction company not spending any time to monitor Human Computer Interaction inside their own apps and websites. Die the hero or live long enough to become the villain.

Worth it overall. So, if you are not used to speaking to yourself out loud to work through things, this is not the thing for you to try. You’re not going to get as many offers or options and the better your review reading is, the more tests you were going to be given. While there’s a lot of tests that you might not qualify for it’s definitely worth it when you get on your laptop and get a zoom call because it’s just talking to people for 30 minutes or an hour maybe even more and you get very well compensated for your time. It’s not instant gratification but it’s definitely more worth it to me then doing 1 million tasks for a penny.

Fun Way to Earn Extra Cash. I’ve been participating in UserTesting tests for a number of years. Once you have the qualities or interests that a client is looking for you complete tasks to earn cash. They are looking for open and honest feedback. I find it interesting to see new ideas that are coming down the road, or things businesses feel are important. There are sometimes opportunities for more in-depth interviews, one on one. I complete tasks on my phone, iPad and desktop. I find the desktop to be the easiest, but the phone app makes it portable and can be completed anywhere!

Nice for extra cash. I’ve done tests for Usertesing for about 5 years and love the flexibility. It’s never going to be a full-time job, but it’s great for extra cash. You can go through the pre-tests to qualify while watching tv, so it doesn’t feel like wasted time. I work full time and can usually get 3-5 tests a week easily which can be $150-$200 a month. It feels like it takes no time and I find the variety of tests fun!

Changed Payment Week. I enjoy this app for a quick few dollars in cash, however when I decided to reopen myself to doing the testing again. They changed it to be paid instead of weekly, biweekly and I’m not even sure why. I remember doing a survey or something months back in 2023 about it, and chose to stay weekly. I don’t know who chose biweekly, but I currently am not working until my college semester starts so I would like it to go back to weekly and have a few dollars in cash again. Overall great app, bad change. ✨✨✨✨

Deleted my entire recording. I was excited to be able to perform tests on the UserTesting app. Unfortunately however, the app is very difficult to use. For starters, taking the screeners is very Clunky and it’s not really easy to use in anyway. Secondly I just performed a test for 15 minutes. It was very difficult to figure out how to actually start recording the test in the first place. But when I did figure it out it was going well, I was recording the screen, giving get feedback, went through the process of downloading two apps. Unfortunately at the end, I went back to the user testing app to end it and submit the recording. It was loading, and didn’t tell me any instructions, and then just said error error error over and over again until I had to force quit the application. I don’t see the test in my recently completed tests. Very upsetting as I don’t qualify for a lot of tests and finally did and then it didn’t work.

Horrible app. I downloaded this and made an account and had to wait a couple days before I could even take the practice test. Then it was another week before I could take an actual test. It said it would take 10 minutes but actually took closer to an hour and took 20 minutes to upload. It was then about another week before I even got an email approving it. The email showed I could claim my $10 on PayPal but it won’t let me and now I got an email saying my account is disabled and do not try to make another account. It was such a waste of time and not worth it. This company is definitely trying to scam people and won’t actually pay.

Horrible App that seems like a scam. I tried this app and 90% of the “tests” disappear as soon as I answered 1 question. I finally got to do 1 actual test, had to wait over a week for it to be reviewed then got a 3 star reviewing saying I rushed the test and won’t be paid for it. They sent me a long email explaining why, it said I rushed the test and finished it in 5 mins, which is how long the actual test told me it would take. User Testing said it should have been 20-30 mins. I deleted my account and removed the app. I do not recommend this, they just waisted my time and I got nothing I’m return. Seems like they just want people to test for free.

App Feedback. The app works as designed with one exception. The test hit our page that is supposed to show your recent tests, ratings, and payment history along with how much money you have pending does not load. It always says something went wrong. I’ve submitted feedback about this several months ago and was told it would be addressed in a future update but that still hasn’t happened. The app does work, and I’ve made $1,200 since September, but this is a major frustration of mine. I can only see how much money I have pending by using the website. Please fix!

So grateful to have found this site!. I understand that it can be frustrating to get so many rejections on the opportunities to qualify for providing feedback. However, for the ones I was selected for, I am so appreciative of not only being able to provide feedback but also making some cash in doing so! I am so appreciative of this website! It’s real easy, once selected, to go through the process and provide your feedback on something being tested. I actually have it set up where I can provide feedback either on my computer, phone, and iPad. Each opportunity lets you let’s you know what device is needed to move forward with answering questions to qualify. They also have real quick surveys that pay $4 and offer others in values of $10, $30, $60, and $90. I have test to get an opportunity to complete the $30, $60, or $90 but I have completed quite a few of the $10 ones. On average I get an opportunity to complete one or at most two a day. I am so excited I discovered this and will continue to use it as long as I am able to.

I like this app a lot. You get made through PayPal so make sure your email address matches your PayPal account. You can take the surveys on your smartphone and your laptop. Not all the surveys you well qualify for, however you do receive a lot of surveys. This app is worth downloading, and getting paid to do surveys. The app shows you the test you completed, sometimes they may rate you with stars, it shows you the amount for that test and when you will receive your money. It keeps track of the total amount you have accumulated so far. The only thing the app I doesn’t show you your profile. When you doing the surveys and it ask you for your feedback make sure you’re giving as much information as possible, because if you give vague information you may not get paid.

Great way to make extra money. I’ve been using this site and app for a little over a month now and I can take anywhere from 1-6 tests per day. My first month I made over $600 and I’m still making just about that. I’m very grateful to UserTesting for the extra income that has made my financial life just a little more comfortable, and I’m really not dedicating too much of my free time to this. It’s really just a test here and there. The couple of complaints I have is that sometimes the mobile app uploads fail and you’re only given a partial or no payment for these. Also, some customer's tests are very time consuming and before you know it, you’re taking a test that ends up being 35 minutes+ and only getting paid $10 to do it (not to mention it fails to upload and then no payment!). These tests are supposed to be 10-20 minutes long. Many customers will offer a $30-$60 payout for completing the test on zoom which takes 30-60 minutes, so this is appropriate and respectful of the testers time. But I think some of the customers try to squeeze so much information out of a $10 test, which subsequently leads to rushed answers, frustration and lack of quality feedback from the tester. Overall, this is the site I go to first and make the most extra money from. Thanks UserTesting!

Not happy. Have been waiting to get tasks for months and nothing ever shows up yet I see people saying they make money off this. Not good.

Very useful!. UserTesting is fantastic if you want to earn a small amount of cash on the side. I have already completed 9 tests and been paid once already.

Nice. Very good

No functions work. You can’t see test history or any earnings. It’s been like that for years despite them saying they’ll look into it. Use UserFeel or Validately or another reputable company

Login broken. I can’t sign in. I get stuck in a sign in loop. Enter email, enter password, enter email, etc etc.

App issue. Won’t let me go past the username and password stage. Please fix the app!

Works fine. It would be great to be able to do all the screeners on the app regardless of what device they’re for. I use the app to check for available tests so it’s frustrating seeing there’s a test available and having to log on to laptop when I may not even qualify. Would also be great to see what browser type it is in the app so we can open the correct one straight away.

Can’t make an account. Won’t let me create an account I get up to the username part and click next. Always says something went wrong. I’ve restarted the app. Reinstall and nothing works

Wasn’t able to do any task. I was going through the tutorial and there is no button to hide the task description. I’ve tried reinstalling the app and this is still happening. This has happened to me three time already. Please fix this.

My opinion. This app is a scam. I did $30 in paid surveys all up and I never got paid for it. That was 3 weeks ago. I would not recommend.

Button missing. Task button doesn’t appear in the tutorial test, therefore I cannot proceed to find work.

Waste of time. Waste of time ,don’t bother

Won’t let you log in with email and password. What’s the point of an app if you won’t let people log into it?

Real review and real money. I have been able to spare some cash thanks to usertesting. As a student, the amount of reviews sent to me is not many but still good enough to let me know that this is not a fake business,m

Good for iPhone, but not website compatible. The UserTesting app on the iPhone is easy to use. When you have a test in progress on the web browser, the iPhone won’t let you start a different test (which is good). It would be good to have the ding sound available on the iPhone app when a new test is available, just like happens on the web browser.

Works very well. I had no issues with the app. Could answer like 3 Tests already in a few days and got my first payment already.

Love it!. My favourite thing right now. No BS. Pays in real money. Great opportunity.

Never Matching. I have been through screening on so many but haven’t matched with any. I’ll keep trying, not looking good though.

Having trouble signing up. it’s been 5 minutes, and it’s saying “we’re sorry, so thing went wrong, please try again” when creating a username password but it’s not telling what’s wrong? After multiple tries I had given up. Maybe this was the first test? I’m not sure. but it was frustrating.

Awesome side hustle. easy to use app, nice little earner on the side. As long as you are honest with your answers in the screeners you will get work. Highly recommended 👍

Doesn’t pay out, likely scam?. I have had huge issues with this company refusing to pay for work I have done. Their customer service team ignores you or just provides non answers. Don’t waste your time with this app. Will be reported to government bodies.

Decent pay, terrible support. App pays quite well but their support team are a joke. Take about 3 weeks to reply and always get the same copy and paste email response. Have missed out on over $100 in payments now due to their faulty apps and systems breaking… support do not care.

Feel like I was scammed. I clicked a link in an email I received about an app I was beta testing. It said I could make $$ if I did a survey about the app. One link led to another and then I had to download this app to continue. I downloaded the app. Next I had to sign up to this app and do a quick “test” to see if I was eligible. I thought, can’t be that bad. I was wrong. It records your screen and enables your microphone. Then when you are finished the “test” you are told it will take days for them to verify your “test” and see if you passed. By the time you are verified, the survey you clicked on in the first place to make some $$, is no longer taking people. Now you are stuck with this app. Scam Scam Scam. Lure you in. Now you have an app on your phone that enables your microphone and records your screen and if you went ahead and filled out the rest while you waited for days, they now have your PayPal info as well. They should be upfront and say it will take days to maybe be approved before you download the app. Anyone that does surveys knows when them here is a $$ incentive it fills up quickly.

UX Needs to be improved. Does not work when you are trying to click the +/- buttons. (iPhone 12 mini)

1000% waste of time. Few opportunities and zero matches to test. Total waste of your time. There must be better options becaus these guys simply got it wrong.

SCAM!. Feels like a scam and is a waste of time … this app should be reported and removed from iOS store asap

One of the best platforms to learn about tech and earn. Have been on the platform for past 3 years and have participated in more then 150 studies , got a chance to collaborate with some of the top notch researchers and technical teams while learning about the latest happenings around design and tech while earning smartly for these sessions. Must have app for people looking for fun and learning part time gigs

Can’t even. Can’t even take the practice test it gets stuck on the recorder and doesn’t move forward. I read on Reddit that this issue has been around for 2 years or more for iOS users!!!! Will this EVER be fixed???

Can’t even log in. There are tests you can only take on your mobile device, but you can’t even log into the app. Clicking the text entry area to put in your email is literally unresponsive.

You won't be qualified for anything. I've been using this app for a couple of days, and I couldn't be a match for even one test. My profile is complete and I answer questions honestly. Obviously, it's not a source of revenue!

Amazing. I have been using UserTesting for almost a year now and I have no complaints. The app has never crashed on me and I get a good amount of tests. Support team has always responded if I have a questions or if there was issues with a test. A great way to make extra money and I actually enjoy the tests that I qualify for.

Conflict of interest. All the tests checks on my conflict of interest before test but if any issue happens mid test and test doesn’t get completed because of mistake of test creator, no action is getting taken as there is a big conflict of interest issue with Usertesting which will not tell the company for their issue other wise they will loose their business and in return they let the user suffer with non payment after lot of amount spent on test already. Companies even use low cost unmoderated test with videos and so many question even many more than moderated but no action is getting taken.

Update issues. The app needed to be updated which I did. Everytime I try to open it, it keeps asking to “update now” and takes me back to the app store. So annoying! Not sure what to do here.

5 Star. Not one issue since I started using the mobile app. Tests are easy to take, completed tests reflect about a minute after it is taken, payments are up to date.

Scam. This is a scam. They use you to get your personal information. Be very careful. If it’s to go to be true…

Crappy application. It’s full of bugs, they deny your payments and make sure you fail and that they can’t pay you because the customer did not give you the highest rating. Don’t waste your time on it, it’s not worth and won’t make you any money!

Erreur ressayer plus tard. Impossible de m’inscrire, chaque fois que je veux passer à la page après avoir choisis nom d’utilisateur ainsi que mot de passe, message d’erreur apparaît…

No long works in my phone. No longer works on my phone keeps telling me to update it when I already did :( help

Something went wrong. Please try again. Cant even create a new account. Keeps giving a “Sorry. Something went wrong please try again”

Great side hustle. Love UserTesting as a simple way to help companies improve apps while making good $$ for it. The app is a little complex to start but once you get the hang of it, it is very straightforward

same bugs. for majority tests i can’t even get in, it doesn’t let me get past the plus or minus phase and i can’t begin the test

App not working - can’t register. I keep getting the same message every time I try to register - something went wrong, please try again later. Tied multiple times but no luck

Great support and easy to use. I’ve been using the app for a couple of years - I find it easy to use and most times functions well. When I run into an issue, support is quick to reply to my inquiry. Happy to be an UserTestor!

Errors or Failed Uploads. For a user-testing service, I think they should conduct some usability testing on their app. I’ve had numerous tests give me an error message after I finish or run into some sort of uploading error- in which case I have to quit the test and do not get compensated for it! Talk about a waste of time.

Even can’t finish the practice test- so many issues. It’s an irony that a user testing app has so many errors right from their Practice test- quite disappointed!

Waste of time. Maybe they make money but u sure won’t. I’ve honestly ( which they recommended) answered all qualifying questions and out of the 50+ prequalifying questions , i never qualified for 1. Don't fall for it. I did , $0 earned. Definitely none of what it offers !

Don’t waste your time. Don’t waste your time. I had to set up a pay pal account then take my time to do the practice test. I have been waiting over a month and it states that my test is still in review. Waste of time for sure!!!

Don’t waste your time. I took the test they ask you too. I was turned down with no explanation. Pathetic

Fantastic job. Love it just love it

Good platform to earn some side cash. I like this platform. Easy to use. The jobs are fair last about 10-20 minutes and pays decent.

Customers are rude and dishonest. Don’t even try it, not worth your time. Even when you put out your all you will still have customers give you a rating that is so low and the comments they leave are very distasteful.

Reporting problems still not working. This is gone on from months to years now. When an issue arises, and you report it, you have no idea if it’s submitted. Never get a response email or acknowledgment. And the test which one spent time on and had to report is a complete waste of time.

Horrible app, you won’t get paid. Their desktop tests are fine, but every test I’ve done through the app ends up crashing right at the very end and I don’t get paid after spending 15-30 minutes giving thorough feedback. Makes me not want to use UserTesting at all anymore. I’ll stick to the desktop version in the future.

Happy to be a member. Good experience and very interesting studies.

Tests won’t upload. I am literally next to my router on my 5Ghz network and it won’t upload my test. This is the third or 4th time. I’m ready to give up on taking tests on iPad. It works just fine on my laptop.

App not functioning. Ironically this App produces a error on creation of a new account. At the point where a User Name and Password must be entered to create a new account, the app apologies and states an error occurred. For a business model based on reviewing other companies apps and websites… their own app is not even functional. Probably a scam here somewhere… best to stay away!

Not working sign in. I am planning to join this app but it’s only letting me log in I don’t have an account please let me know what to do🥰

Not responsible. When you run into problem processing the recording and uploading, you have to let it go, because the support team never supports you when this happens, and your 10-20 minutes time will be guaranteed wasted.

App barely works. Pretty ironic for a user testing app to be so buggy. I can almost never get it to work. The website tells me I need to use the app and the app tells me I have nothing available.

Error. Can’t even signup🫡

Doesn’t load. BEWARE….this app doesn’t load properly. It could be scammers.

Sensitive fake woke people. Softest app ever block me for no reason nothing but kids running this site

Not worth it. Wasted my time with the practice test. Was excited to start and after many days they sent an email to re-do the practice test. Such a waste of time. Not worth it. Want to delete account, it doesn’t recognize a saved password. Trying to reset, no email received for that. It’s just a scam.

Big fan. The app works great, the website works great too. Overall a great experience

Great Way to Earn Cash!. I’ve been a tester for several years - on the desktop and the phone app. Easy to use, helpful tutorials, and clear instructions.

Broken app. Don’t waste your time

overall ok. The app is ok. But the teats are very buggy. I need to submit lots of tickets

Areas to be addressed. The app functions well most of the time, but freezes at times, during the test, and takes prolonged time in opening the websites. I have had instances when the app stopped functioning at even towards the end of the test, or during the uploading phase. It is no possible many times to go back to previous question and change the answer there, and to find the relevant webpage after I come back to the next question.

Re: scam. Every answer I choose, they say it doesn’t match with what they want. Sketchy.

Can’t see test history. Can’t see test history after my 60 min session got cancelled. Please fix this, it’s so convenient to see test history in the app.

Funny... Keep failing to creat an account. F you

About this app. This app is simple, easy to use as any good app has to be. Most problems I’ve had are related to what’s been tested or the backend occasionally. User testing test qualification process is in great need of improvement because it causes lots of frustration.

Why no app notifications???. The app is okay and the business objective makes sense. But if you’re seeking to get as many contributions as possible, why aren’t there any notifications for tests via the mobile app? Nobody keeps their pc on all the time. And if they do they’re working on something else. Why not have the option, at least, to notify users via the mobile app of all the tests available to screen for? I don’t get it.

Lack of response. I tried to apply to the app for extra money. The company User didn’t respond right away and the app froze after taking the test. It put me in a state of limbo and then it made me test over. I requested assistance and was told I never applied. Save your time and try other options this one is a waste of time.

Product test. I’m product testing for a company y'all didn’t pick me. I don’t work for you. I’m forced to use your app don’t tell me how to review. You have no say the company does. I had to change my email to even get into my account via the app because your IT people are apparently so stupid they can’t figure out how to create a log in screen. You have 0 say in my feedback I didn’t sign up for your app you didn’t connect me to an opportunity the company had me do it THEY picked me so I think my feedback is fine. So again keep your mouth shut when your staff can’t even run an app correctly.

Terrible!!!. I was a tester with this app for several months, had great scores from all tests I completed. Then out of nowhere, my account started glitching, so I tried to shut it down and start a new one. The company banned me and shut down my new account, saying I was “attempting to have two accounts.” I was definitely not, because my first one wasn’t even functional. I emailed and called customer service and they were no help at all! Super disappointed in this company as a whole. If I could zero stars, I would.

The money always comes through. I just listen for the ‘ding’ while I do homework and usually end up getting a test every day I try. The money always comes through on time and the tests (especially the zoom ones) are interesting enough. Technical issues pop up here and there but while frustrating they don’t kill the app for me.

Easy side money. Yes, there are a lot of screeners that you might not be eligible for, but you can still make good money on UserTesting. Some weeks you get only one or two tests but others you get 5 or 6. An extra $50 while sitting at home is great. I’ve made over $600 using the app/website

Concept is good, but…. I get emails saying I have surveys available to me but you can’t even access those surveys from the app on your phone. You have to log on to a desktop and when I did that, the survey was no longer Available. Are people just supposed to sit and wait at the computer all day? Also, the customer service is garbage, I reached out about the issue twice & got two generic responses that didn’t answer my question whatsoever. The idea is great but this app has major flaws

It’s alright, could be better though.. Works most of the time, but I’ve had a test freeze up once. My biggest complaints are 1) the screener test are rarely a match for me 2) the website test instructions are not all the detailed and so I’m never sure if I’m missing a step or failing to do it right. I will say that it’s hard to get used to having to speak your thoughts out loud while completing the test.

Started off okay until... I first signed up for UserTesting and completed a application hoping to start making some side-hustle money. I did my first test and earned $10 but it took a good 9-12 days, when it was supposed to take exactly seven days to the minute, but that’s not the big deal. The big issue was after I took it and received the money via. PayPal, I didn’t receive any more test for a couple of weeks and still no test as of right now.

Efficient, effective & High Usability. The User Testing App has been a great way to add supplemental income. It’s an easy to use app to conduct online testing scenarios. And if there are any technical hiccups, which are infrequent, there is an easy of use way to report issues without any negative impact on your personal rating. The user app provides an easy to access way to report issues and a helpful help section. Anyone can easily become familiar with the usability of the app.

Trying to Give It a Chance. So far I haven’t been as impressed with UserTesting as I thought I would be. It seemed like a perfect fit and great way to contribute, but it hasn’t worked out that way as of yet. Plus the support they offer contributors is exclusively online-no live person to reach on the phone. That’s a little frustrating. I’ll give it awhile, and hopefully it will start to a rewarding experience.

I keep getting an error message before I start. The first part worked out OK when I had to record myself thinking out loud and answering questions during the test practice, but when it came time for me to answer basic questions to get my profile started in order to get actual test, every time I chose an answer I got a notification saying “We’re sorry. Something went wrong. Please try again” So apparently I’m not even able to get started. This isn’t a good look.

App crushes all the time. I love UserTesting! I’ve been a tester for 8 years. Lately though, this app lets me start a test, work in a test sometimes even to very last task and then it crushes. It tells me the recording has stopped working. I cannot tell you how much time I have lost because every time I qualify for a mobile test, I think what if they fixed it. I do the test and the boom. It’s been a few months like this. I report the problem with each crushed test and I’ve sent messages to help support as well. Nada. Please fix the app. If the problem is on my side, please let me know what I need to do. It used to work fantastically, not sure what happened.

$110 in my 1st week. In my first 7 days I made $110 doing 11 tests. Average test time was 16.1 minutes. Median test time was 10.2 minutes. Yes you will have to take 10-15 screeners before landing on a match that allows you to take the full test (tests are what pay out money to you). However screeners that you don’t match with (can’t move onto the test for) take under 20 seconds each. I only did screeners and tests on my iPhone during the first week. I left a lot of opportunities to make a lot more money on the table (during the first week) by only using the iPhone.

Not happy. I’ve had this app for about a month, and it seems that every test I take either halfway through, or on the last question will tell me I wasn’t what they wanted. I feel like it’s set up to get the information they need but don’t want to pay you for what you actually completed let alone let you finish the whole survey. They don’t have an actual representative to ask questions to, it’s a robot who doesn’t have the answers unless it’s a generated question.

Never got an assignment. I had the app for 6 months and checked it every day. Not once was I ever given anything to review. I never even heard back about whether my “practice” assignment had been reviewed, and it said it would only be a few days. I sent a support message asking about it a few times and never heard back. Then today I opened the app and it had logged me out and I couldn’t log back in because it said my password was wrong and wouldn’t reset it. Very disappointed. What a waste of phone space.

Works well once you figure it out. This works well for doing tests once you figure out how to work it. You just broadcast then close the screen by tapping anywhere. It isn’t clear in the directions. Then you can see the test behind it. Sometimes it glitches but otherwise works well most of the time and is a great addition to desktop testing!

It was good at first. This is easy money but if you mess up even once, you are basically done. I answered a question to a survey that didn’t match with a previous answer I gave (selected the wrong option on accident) and the reviewer gave me one star. The lower your rating, the less likely chance you have of getting tasks. So the single 1 star rating brought me down to a 3 instead of a 5 where I was before. And no one rates you for doing good. You basically just get rated badly if anything goes wrong. Oh well, good while it lasted. Bye UserTesting!

Use the desktop. I feel that this app is limited and confusing. I also feel that they don’t explain everything well via text. For a service that wants you to speak and record the text they should do the same so you understand clearly what they want and or have a person you speak to prior to starting. They also don’t have enough texts on a regularly basis you can do. I have gone through several ore screening to hopefully get one test. I tried this for about two weeks, did two test and a total of $20 and have spent hours trying to get approved for tests. It’s a waste of time in my opinion.

Quick Extra Money. Qualify for studies and get paid $10 for 10 minutes of work, $30 for 30 and $60 for an hour. Basically be honest and give your opinion to make some quick easy money. Perfect for when you’re bored.

Almost great. I really have had a mostly fine experience with the user tester app. My only complaint is that after some tests it freezes and won’t take me back to the test app. It then leaves me almost frozen on the last test I was on. I can’t figure out why this happens, why it’s only with some tests and not all tests. I’ve solved it by just deleting the app and then reinstalling it. Sort of annoying but not the end of the world.

Really bad customer service. I had emailed customer service weeks ago about a problem with my account in which I wasn’t getting any tests, and they finally got back to me today. However, instead of fixing my account problem, they let me know that they had completely terminated my account months ago due to the fact that during a test, I had connectivity issues( something I had already told them about). This company really screwed me over in allowing me to wait 4 weeks without letting me know my account had been terminated.

Could use some improvements, but it’s not terrible. It would be nice if they made it easier to qualify for more tests, but the ones that I have qualified for, and completed, it’s been overall a good experience.. they pay out as they say they will, and it’s a fun way to generate extra side income.. but being rejected majority of the time, gets kinda old after awhile..

Make extra money!. Once I got my first survey, more opened up. It took me about a week to find that first one. I make about an extra $20-$30 a week only because I don’t have much free time to be alone to do the surveys. I’m sure I could make more. I use the app on my phone mostly. I really like it!

Not bad. I was unsure about this app but I really needed some money and despite what others say I’ve made 24 dollars so far. I haven’t had any issue cashing out but it does take a couple days to pend. The tests themselves aren’t bad but it can take a while to qualify. The only thing I don’t like is to take tests on a computer it needs to be windows or ios and I have a Chromebook. Other than that it’s a legit app that works just takes a while

False advertising. Well I been look at app to help bring a little more income for my family. My husband , son and I was let go from our job right before Christmas. After moving in to a fixer uppers home. So this has put us behind on a lot of thing. So I see this app advertise take test and get paid. Well I have done everything thing they wanted. Took the test 2 times and I guess that all they let you do because it won’t let me do anything else. So I hope everyone reads the ratings on these kind apps ARE ALL LIES

Identical Twin Discrimination. I am an identical twin and my sister and I look and sound exactly alike. Our accounts were banned because UserTesting Panel Board assumed that it was ONE person taking tests on two accounts. We explained our hearts out, but UserTesting continued to assume that we were ONE person. I guess the people who serve on your panel have never seen identical twins. They falsely accused us and are incredibly discriminatory against identical twins. Customer support offers no help and does not listen to rhyme or reason. This is very upsetting. I have never been discriminated because I was a twin. It breaks my heart.

Fine but still major bugs causing tests to crash. This app has significant stability issues. I’ve had 3 tests in the past week completely shut down on me when I’m trying to review an app or site outside of the app. It doesn’t like when you have to switch back and forth and the recordings just shut down. I have no way to report the problem after that and it’s such a big waste of time for not being compensated for those. Please fix ASAP!!

Beginning tester. I am new to taking out loud tests where I am being recorded. But I am excited about all the practice and experience I am going to receive, while also getting paid, while completing these tasks. I am also gaining familiarity of different websites and how to accurately navigate them. These are all positives so far.

Where are the tests?. I had this app for over a month and can count on one hand how many test offers I received. Of the few I did, I never got past the screening questions before being told I didn’t qualify. Frankly, I should’ve never even gotten the test offers I did receive because User Testing already had all of my answers to the screening questions. If I wasn’t going to qualify, I shouldn’t have been alerted to the offers. Deleting my account. Utter waste of time from start to finish.

Not really a side hustle. Each test that you try to take has “screening questions “ which could vary fro 3-20. You have to answer each one in a way that they want or you will be rejected. The vast majority of the tests are directed towards people who are in a tech based job and works in a position that makes purchase decisions for their office. Some even use the tests in a way to hawk their products during a test! If the tester decides you didn’t do enough on your test then they can reject it, give you a low score and not pay you. There is no way to dispute this with user testing.

Great way to make extra cash!. This isn’t a get rich quick app but you do make a little extra money. If I had time to leave my dashboard open all day I would probably make a lot more but I dedicate a couple hours a day to this and have made a little over $100 so not bad at all and some of the websites are pretty interesting

Great Side Hustle!. I’ve been working with User Testing for a couple of weeks now. I’ve made $120 so far! I haven’t had any bugs or other technical issues that others have said they experienced. I’ve gotten paid exactly when they said I would! You will get rejected more often than accepted but just keep at it and you will qualify for some!

Nice Side Income. New update doesn’t tell you your balance anymore, please fix!!! Love User Testing! I’ve been using them for about 1.5 years and they are wonderful. It’s hit or miss whether you will qualify for a test or not but be honest and keep your profile up to date. Customer Service is amazing when issues arrive. I’ve signed up for multiple user testing sites and User Testing is by far the best! A++.

Great Side Gig. I love UserTesting. I have been a contributor for about 3 months now and I have made over $1000 in my spare time. The app works well and I have had no problems getting support on the rare occasion when I have run into a problem. I have always gotten paid promptly what I am due to receive. Excellent side gig opportunity!!

Cheaters. UserTesting is horrible; they will tell you in the screener that a test is longer than usual (say 40 minutes to an hour) and that they will compensate you for the longer time but don’t. You’ll send them countless emails about it and they’ll ignore you. Also for the moderated tests, if the customer cancels last minute, you used to be fully compensated; then it went down to half pay, then $20, now $10. You expect me to take off work to do the moderated, only for it to get canceled last minute and you pay me $10? What a bunch of jerks!

Good when it works; Web is better. I’ve done 4 tests on the iOS app now, and only one was uploaded successfully. That means I’ve wasted 90 minutes on tests that were never sent to the client. Completing the tests isn’t an issue, it’s the uploading part. It takes a long time and of you leave the screen or get an outside notification while sending, you lose the test. I’m going to stick to desktop tests from now on. There aren’t as many of them, but at least I know I’ll be paid.

Great way to earn a little extra income. I get not qualifying for a good portion of the tests available but for 10-30 mins of your time and to earn $10 each test it’s worth it. This is a great way to give feedback and earn a little extra money per month. I would say on average I receive $60-80 a month. Docking a star for occasional app bugs that cause me to have to back out from a test

Good platform, app needs a bit more development. It’s a great platform, but the mobile app really needs to do two things- first, include tools to make recovery of a user test easier if something happens and the app crashes partway through the test or while the test is uploading, and make it easier to resume an unfinished test. Second, include ways to manage the data storage of the app and delete unneeded sets from past uploaded tests to keep the app from becoming bloated.

Don’t waste your time. Giving this app a one star. I thought this would be something to do here and there. I’ve had it for two weeks and have yet to get more than one survey. The app makes it near impossible to review something. I’ve gone as far as check marking ALL the requirements in the first initial screening. Unfortunately, I do not have a computer to do the live reviews so I am stuck using the app on my phone or iPad. Don’t waste your time on this app. There is no return expect frustration.

Legit. I've been a participant with Usertesting for the last year and have made a nice side income with them. They are dependable and pay on time. Yes you have to apply to several tests before you qualify for one but it is still a good experience overall and it has helpme develop other skills that I can use with other work I do so thank you Usertesting. CF

Good for some pocket money. While it is frustrating that you have to screen for dozens of tests before you qualify for one, it is a simple process and easy to do. Everything is organized with good instructions. I am on my computer all day anyway so I can listen for the ding that another test is available. I was hoping to make more but like I said, it’s good pocket money. I make at least $100 a week for not much time and effort.

Great side hustle. Works well only if you have your browser version always open, because on the phone you won’t be able to check the tests every few minutes. But I made 3,5k in two years by just passively spending a few minutes on the platform. Not every day. So I recommend it.

So disappointed!. Before making users go through the hoops to apply as a paid tester, the company should make it much more known that the chances of you qualifying for a test is slim to none. I’ve YET to qualify for a test - even those labeled “anyone can take this test.” For example: the first question I was asked on one pre-survey was to choose my preferred search engine from the list provided... apparently my preference of Google was the wrong answer? I had high hopes of making a little cash on the side, but this site/app is a waste of time unfortunately.

Great App But….. So this app is fantastic! I’ve made so much money with this app. I love it!!… but the new update is making me feel unappreciated and having second thoughts. I took a test twice and the video won’t upload. I’ve been qualifying for test and then at the end it say the test isn’t available or there a issue with that particular test. I normally have a good two test everyday, since this update, I’ve earned nothing. I hope they fix it soon.

Not perfect but not a scam. Normally im really skeptical about this stuff, but i was pretty satisfied when i started actually getting some cash for a few minutes of my time. I wish i was able to spend less time getting screenings and am able to set up a profile where they can organize tests that fit my profile, but all in all they really do pay you and you kind of just have to sit there and keep refreshing the page.

No good. Don’t bother trying to join if your older (late 50’s +). Even if you follow the directions to the letter in your practice test… thinking out loud, answering the question, explaining your answer… they will say your test wasn’t approved. This is after getting your personal info and linking your PayPal (so they can “pay you” after you get approved) . Such a scam. If I start getting unauthorized charges I’ll know who to send my bank and PayPal after. Such a waste of time and a disappointment thinking this was legit.

I love user testing. I don’t really get any tests on the app but I do almost every day on the computer using their website. Money comes 7 days after you complete straight into your PayPal. It’s usually around 11amEST. It’s fun and easy $10. I do gig work and would have to use gas and alot more time to make $10 in 20 min. Or just be lucky lol thank you user testing for providing something to supplement my income and that’s super fun!

Good way to make some extra cash. It’s a good way to make some extra cash, but it’s not going to be a major source of income for most people. I’ve made about $100/month just going on in my free time and seeing if any fit. Some days I get several, other days none. I suppose if I were more methodical about it, I’d make more, but I’m just doing this to pay for hobbies.

Great app but….. Honestly it is a great little side hustle if you qualify for the surveys. I’ve made @$124 in the last few weeks. They take about 7 days to pay out which is okay. But sometimes the clients can rate you privately and all of sudden your rating decreases and then you’re not offered tests anymore. Bummer because I enjoyed participating as I used to be a user tester at work as well. Oh well, guess it was great while it lasted 😔
