MetaMask: Trade Crypto App Reviews

It’s broken. So after spending 2 hours after having received payment from one of the mining to try and figure out how to get past the “secure your wallet” issue (I almost turned it into a burn wallet) I’d strongly recommend against making the wallet on iOS first. You will end up spending a significant amount of time on the secure your wallet page if you don’t, and it’s a pain and a half to get past it because everything after inputting a password just rapidly scrolls up and only displays a white page, only usable option is the back button. If you’re already past the bug, yeah it’s a nice wallet. (Original review)Broke unless you setup your wallet on another device and transfer it to iOS… but if you already have mined funds/token/crypto and have started a wallet on iOS first, you’ll end up getting locked into a secure wallet loop. Don’t know why this is a thing, but it’s highly stressful, it also locks the app so you can’t do much with it. Oversight? Feels like a huge one.

MetaMask works, you just don’t know how to use it. MetaMask does exactly what it’s supposed to do. People who are experiencing issues with it are probably not as experienced with how different blockchains work. This application is very complex and it’s not for the beginner crypto user. If you want an application that will hold your hand then get the trust wallet. If you really want a true crypto experience learn about how meta mask works. Your tokens aren’t lost, you just have to import them with that tokens token address and make sure you have the network set up on your MetaMask. The only issue I have is when I’m on opensea and I am filtering through a collection it freezes.

Password Just Stopped Working. The app is smooth and looks great, but 3 days after using it, my password just stopped working. No messages, nothing popped up to let me know what the issue was. After some Google searching I see this is a common issue and the only way to recover is with the 12 word recovery key. Of course I had that written down and promptly recovered my wallet in a different app. Never using MetaMask again. I have no idea how it has a 4.7 rating. 2 stars because it worked great until it decided to stop accepting my password. If a glitch like that is allowed to go unaddressed, all faith is lost in any other part of the app. Would not recommend this app to anyone using it for more than $100.

Just some gratitude towards the team. I love this app, and has definitely been my go to for a few years now 🔥 really appreciate the team behind this and appreciate giving us the opportunity to manage our tokens in a way that has made life in crypto a lot easier to handle. Hope to see you guys continue growing The only suggestion I have, please.. how awesome it’d be to have an iPad version of this 😭 I know the app works, but would be sick to have a version that fills the resolution of the iPad. This isn’t an app for those who are willy-nilly. This is a Web3 wallet app and Web3 portal. It accomplishes both of those easily. It takes time to update your transactions, yes, but it allows you to have a one stop shop for everything you need when using Web3. It comes with ETH as the default network. Don’t expect it to easily switch to BNC or any other chain without having to do some manual labor yourself. It’s not impossible but it’s not easy if you don’t know exactly what you’re doing. 1-star reviews are likely people who don’t know what’s really going on and bandwagonning crypto.

Developer response?. Look I keep my passwords very secure. I write them down and put them in my safe. So it has been awhile since I have used my metamask account but do have some crypto on there for emergencies. So it's been while since I have been there but I need to get on there today. O had to download the app again to my iPhone. I go to open it and it asks for my password I go to my safe pull out my password sheet and enter it in. Wrong password. Now I know I have the right password. Now mind you this is to open the app up. So I can't even open the app up and the only option it gives me at the bottom of the screen is to reset my wallet. I have the pass phrase like I'm suppose to but it won't let me even enter it in. Why do you have it so that it's all or nothing? I know I have the write password. Why is it set up this way? It won't let me even out in my passphrase. It just asks me if I would like to reset my wallet and start a new one. Again why won't it at least let import an old wallet. In order for me to move on I have to delete the old wallet first. That makes no sense at all. Let's just say that I my forgot my password to open the app..why make someone delete the wallet before giving them a chance to enter their passphrase?. Like I said all of nothing. I would love to send you a screenshot... but really metamask has been around for a long time and this is the protocol? Again another situation with crypto that I'm at no fault and it's going to cost me money. Scam,theft, hacked, data leak the ongoing downfall of the crypto world. Just think how big crypto would be if that wasn't an every second problem. The only people that don't want crypto to be regulated are the ongoing crooks because they wouldn't be able to rip people off anymore. Give me a break...thanks for nothing

Support. I do think that MetaMask is good, but their support is just not good. Sorry, but there are those of us out there that don’t know what they’re doing, so we do need to ask questions and get answers at times. I think I have a scammer on my account, but I can’t get any help trying to find out about it. I wouldn’t know where else to get help other than MetaMask. If you have an idea, I would love to know. I am absolutely not blaming MetaMask at all, I just need some help here. And no, I didn’t give my phrase out to anyone.

Great On Brave browser. I feel like most people complaining don’t understand how the wallet truly works. If you are new stick to using a centralize finance like crypto app, coinbase , BlockFi and a few others. How can you complain about a network fees from Eth when you can simply change chains to Matic or Avalanche. Also, people complaining about coins disappearing, I’m sure they added liquidity somewhere received some sort of LP tokens, and complained about money disappearing. All you need to do is import the token yourself. I like connecting my Ledger X so found it easy to use. That being said, the app version is pretty terrible though, and hope they update asap.

Some good, some bad.. I trade crypto on a daily basis, and unfortunately I can’t always be at an actual computer. Previously, this was less of an issue when I could use trustwallet, but since Apple gutted it by fully removing the browser function (you used to be able to manually re-add it) I’ve been forced to switch to metamask. On desktop, metamask runs fine. Some of their updates are good, some are really annoying (like complicating the process of adjusting gas for a transaction — usually something that you’re doing because you need something to happen FAST, and slowing down the process defeats the purpose.) On mobile, metamask has become nigh unusable for me. I keep my iOS up to date, have a fairly current iPhone model, etc. Runs like a bloated ad stuffed game for no reason. My biggest issue is the apps complete inability to hold what you’re doing if you swap out of the app for even a moment - and it isn’t even consistent in that. Sometimes I tab out for even a second and it completely wipes whatever I was looking at, which is a complete hassle for no reason, and in times of trading volatile coins where seconds matter, it can and has cost me real money. The second point, which is tied to the first, is that obnoxious fox loading animation that pops up whenever the app decides you need to restart what you’re doing, open it, or try to do literally anything. It’s just pointless lag in a space where once again, TIME MATTERS. Vent over. Security wise, meta is solid. Feature wise they do try to add new stuff and keep up, which I appreciate, but I would appreciate more attention to the day to day function. Sometimes it feels like the developers must not use the app very heavily themselves, because the issues make themselves readily apparent to any consistent user. Many other negative reviews seem to be mostly about user error issue, or lack of knowledge about navigating the app. They’re valid, but easily solve-able. Cheers y’all.

Metamask is confusing. I lost my money with no ability to recover using meta-mask. As such, these morons have found a way to completely ruin the whole point of block chain. I mean, if I can track where my money was sent from my DeFi Wallet, but meta-mask simply loses it on their end, with no ability to recover the wallet, then that basically just ruins the whole concept of Blockchain. The DeFi Wallet is amazing. I can track exactly where I sent my crypto to. I can see the meta-mask that I sent it to. When I open the meta-mask and type the address in, it says that wallets never existed. But it very much did. I sent VEchain to my MetaMask, and the transaction was completed, but when I turned off the app and re-opened the app a different wallet opened up and I have no access to the prior wallet. This app looks like it was designed by somebody from Apple, and it is constricted and cryptic. It is hard to tell what you are doing. It doesn’t let you name wallets, so I assume that I had multiple wallets called Account 1. That’s REALLY stupid. If this app had allowed me to name my wallets, then I wouldn’t have lost my funds, because I could’ve identified which wallet was open. What a crummy wallet. Cirst crypto transfer to a wallet I attempted is lost.

The Glue Between Things. Great app. It has become so integral to our strategy that I introduce it as, “the bridge between many things” … no exaggeration. Then I elaborate that it can handle things hardware wallets can’t, whether it’s tokens that hardware wallets don’t natively support yet, blockchain domain names, or acquiring coins or tokens not on open markets / exchanges. Initially I was kinda surprised to see that only ERC20 or BEP20 coins were supported, but I wasn’t disappointed. This isn’t an app that needs to be or do everything. It does what it does and it does that well. — Would love if it at least supported receiving BNB (BEP2) coins, and had the ability to convert them to BNB (BEP20 / BSC) tokens. Then many of us wouldn’t need to use other wallets like Trust Wallet to handle that (which is fugly in comparison to MetaMask). Also wish the browser was more prominent. Some of us spend so much time in it, it being relegated to the hidden menu is a UX issue, requiring two clicks to get to something used so regularly. A bottom row with icons for: Wallet, Browser, and Transaction History … would be nice (maybe an option to turn that on or off would meet the preferences of everyone). Lastly, it would be nice if the custom tokens added actually displayed the prices. The information is all there in Bscscan and Etherscan, so it should be doable. And maybe auto adding tokens it finds, because the tokens added are also there in Bscscan and Etherscan. In any case, this is a great app and I look forward to seeing how things develop. I dare say, this is worth paying for! I’m sure the people who use it and find it invaluable, would be more than willing to pay at the very least a modest annual fee to support the guys putting in the hard work to make things easier / more convenient for us. Anyway, thank you, and keep up the great work!

Terrible Customer Service and No Help After Wallet Hack. I am extremely disappointed with MetaMask. My wallet was hacked, and I lost a significant amount of money. I reached out to their customer service for help, but their response was practically nonexistent. They didn’t offer any meaningful assistance or solutions, and it felt like they just didn’t care about my situation. For a platform that claims to prioritize security, the lack of support is unacceptable. They don’t have a direct line of contact, and their automated responses are frustratingly unhelpful. I understand that crypto transactions are irreversible, but the least they could do is provide better guidance or preventive measures to avoid such incidents. MetaMask’s customer service fails to address real concerns, leaving users like me helpless after being victimized. I can’t recommend this wallet to anyone, especially if you value your funds and peace of mind. Feel free to personalize it further if you’d like!

Dynamic industry standard but app is slow and still lacks ledger support. Unfortunately in the crypto world you almost have no choice but to use metamask. I wish this wasn’t the case bc the app on iOS mobile is so slow it’s nearly unusable. The browser lags and I find that I have to connect my wallet multiple times to establish a connection. 2x usually does the trick. I also find the lack of ledger support disturbing. Come on guys… people use ledgers and trezors. We want security on the go They had announced 4Q22 last fall but here we are approaching the end of May. The lack of functionality limits my use of metamask on mobile. I purposely did not buy a keystone bc of their announcement. I was going to import my ledger to a keystone so I could use cold wallet on the go. I still can’t trade on the go and no communication has been sent about future release. Couple improvements needed: - faster browser (feels bloated but isn’t) - more intuitive placement of network wallet switching buttons - support of transactions for other networks. - integration of portfolio desktop site into iOS mobile - customizable alerts - ability to enter token price sources to return value on tokens not listed on CG Also, if I quickly switch to another app, why does it need to face id again? Scans face and back to wallet instead of browser. You have to start what you were doing in a dapp all over again.

You will get robbed. At some point you will lose your money trust me. It might not be today or even this year, but somewhere down the line an app glitch, a hack, a transaction “mistakenly” being sent to another address, or a blatant theft will occur and there is NOTHING they can do about it. Not worth the risk. Not to mention the suspicious positive ratings. I WAS BLATANTLY ROBBED. Metamask WILL rob you. If your lucky you might go a year. The app is trash, glitchy, no support, its a joke. When it happens you will be amazed at how your money is stolen. Three separate occasions. Experience in crypto wallets means nothing. Blatant robbery. Im amazed there arent more negative reviews which tells me there positive reviews are fake. Look at the names. The developer response is botish. They always blame you. Dont fall for that bullsheit.

Favorite messed up. Favorites are messed up again, I can’t save any… it’d also be nice if the app always opened back up to the browser. 3 stars Update: there’s been an update! And the favorites are still broken? How is this real life?.. I can’t wait for MM to have some actual competition… please don’t bother with the generic reply that you send all of these reviews, it’s not helping your case. 2 stars for updating but not fixing the biggest issue. Update: how is the favorites bug not fixed yet?! What are y’all even doing? This is beyond ridiculous… it’s a fregin security risk! Get it together! And don’t send me the same generic message telling me to contact support, you should probably stop doing that all together, it looks awful… Edit #2: ok, fair enough.. but if this is true, why didn’t support ask me for any state logs? They just wait “we’re working on it” Ultimately, you run an app that a lot of people depend on to keep their funds secure, and y’all can’t figure out a favorites bug? Come on.. more time answering these means less time fixing the problem?! There’s so much wrong with that statement that I’m not even gonna bother.. seems like you’re just gaslighting here… again, get it together! Where do you want me to send logs? Absolutely nobody has asked me for any.. this is also not the first time you’ve had problems with favorites….

Fair review if a big feature is broken. It works as a wallet, does not work for the swap feature. Considering I only have a MetaMask for the swap and I’m just waiting on seeing when the swap is cheapest, the fact that the swap doesn’t work on mobile is pretty horrible. That’s not even mentioning that it sometimes costs $700 to swap at a fair exchange rate when just last week it was $60 for a fair exchange rate. If I swapped for $700 I wouldn’t have anything left so now I’m stuck waiting and waiting but the waiting would be tolerable if this app actually worked and served its purpose. I should give a one star, but it works as a wallet, even if they charge you ether to do anything with the wallets.

Great wallet, just not on iPhone. Needs bugs taken out. So I installed this wallet, have used it for years on pc and never had issues. Loved it. Then I saw they came out with a iOS app. I was like “heck yeah”. Except after installing it link my wallet and everything is setup. I say my brand new iphone 14 pro max down. Left for about 3 hours had some work to do outside. My battery when I installed this app was at 72%, after 3 hours of idle and screen off and no contact with the phone what so ever, I came back to the phone and picked it up I was at 39%. I was like hoooahhhh, what tha, at first I had no idea what it could be so I got into the app and start transfer and messing around on web3. Battery dropped to 27% in the 25 minutes I was using it. I was like nooo way. Went into setting to look and see what was using the battery since last charge. And metamask was sitting at 79% battery usage since last charge, it’s only been on my phone for maybe 4 hours. Clicked it, it says 7 minutes on screen active 3hrs and whatever or so background usage. I was like huh no way. By the point my battery hit 20% and it was time to charge again. I sat phone down fully charged phone and restarted the phone just to make sure it was some install bug ya know that needs a reset. Nope, charged to 100 unplugged phone sat it down went and ate dinner. Came back was gone maybe 45 minutes, battery was at 75%. I was like no way. This is a brand new iPhone perfect battery capacity, so I said ok I uninstalled app. Right after uninstalled I restarted phone. My phone after use the rest of the night multiple apps after about 3 hours only dropped from 75 to 53%. Which is normal. What ever that app is doing in the background is atrociously killing my battery like no app I’ve ever used. Fix it and I’ll come back until then of it is. Thank you.

Wasted So Much of my Time and Money. I hate this company and this app. You have to pay extra money just to be able to move around the assets that you own. If you want to sell it, you pay multiple fees, one before you sell, and one when you sell and that’s as far as I’ve gotten in the process, I’ll probably have to pay more gas fees. What’s more, you must make an account with their preferred exchange binance to cover the fees. Or you can buy from another exchange in which case you must wait at least 7 business days to be able to move YOUR ASSET, and then realize that they charge another fee to sell so you have to wait 7 more days and who knows how many more after if there are more fees. Hate this company, wasted so much time and money.

Pretty nice..needs darkmode... This is a pretty nice wallet and works as expected. Latest update for NFTs is nice as well. Only thing really missing is darkmode. Pls for the love of baby Jesus and my eyes, add darkmode. Also, don't let the negative reviews of people claiming to lost their coins/money scare you. It's not the apps fault that they don't know what they're doing. Please make sure you fully understand everything about transferring your coins/funds and what network you're on before trying anything. If you send your coins/funds to the wrong address and/or wrong network, there is absolutely nothing Metamask or anyone else can do to fix it or help you. Take responsibility for your actions.

Still needs work to match other payment systems. Even tho I use MetaMask as one of my wallets, compared to my other wallets, MetaMask is a little clunky and show errors for some reason even when tractions go through half the time I am getting frustrated thinking that I have to retry or worse my funds are lost. While these types of payment systems are fairly new, I feel that MetaMask is lag in and should me more seamless and intuitive in regards to their ui. They are one of the first wallets to be released and yet it is my lease used wallet because of so many failed transactions and error screens that don’t make any sense. This is honest criticism and I hope MetaMask see this as such and work on the bugs.

I love metamask!. Metamask is a great wallet that offers plenty of features that i have yet to see anywhere else. But seeing all these negative reviews shows me that alot of people really don’t understand how crypto works. Its not metamasks fault that ethereum has high transaction fee’s. But that shifts me to another point that makes metamask so great because it gives you the control to use whatever network you want. In my case i use polygon , bsc and harmony. Mobile version could use some improvements such as the web browser and perhaps if possible more notifications whenever your address receives assets across different networks but as someone who is actively learning about blockchain development I understand how it could be difficult to deploy such a feature. Just a shame so many people are missing out on so many great defi opportunities because nobody wants to take the time to learn how this stuff works and rather use a app that holds your hand like trust wallet.

Okay so honestly meta mask gud wallet. So i have been using meta mask itself for about 6 months. The chrome extension works well but i always had trouble using the mobile version. I would have to open and close it multiple times and clear my session to try to even have a chance of it loading. Recently that has all changed. The app runs extremely well now and i have not had any issues since the last update. I did have to re enter my seed phrase because of some data error but i have mine memorized so it wasnt an issue. 5/5 would recommend especially since it has a browser. No KYC. And able to add a ton of custom networks

I wish I hadn’t written a one star review. Honestly, this is going to be a humbling review. A few days ago I wrote a harsh, one star review. Upon further investigation into my original problem, I have found out that the app worked as it should and it was I who lacked the understanding. Long story short, write down your secret recovery phrase and DOUBLE CHECK each word! I will continue to use MetaMask and wish I could delete the previous one star review I posted. I also think most bad reviews are from people, like myself, who don’t fully understand what they’re doing.

Transaction Completed Issue. Great app and wallet, very easy to use and effective, but recently I have encountered issues with the Transaction Completed notification that pops up at the bottom of the app once you submit an order on sites like Uniswap or Pancake Swap. Instead of the notification disappearing, when I re-open the app the notification is stuck at the bottom when I go to the browser so I am unable to use the browser properly as I can not click the screen at the bottom of the app since the notification just stays there. Only way to fix this is uninstalling the app and re-installing which is quite frustrating. And it has happened once again. Five stars if this bug is fixed.

Noobs. It’s absolutely amazing that the reviews at the top are embarrassingly obvious crypto noobs. MetaMask does not lose your private key ( those 12 words that are created when you set up your wallet) nobody should have that key except you..NOBODY! Write down those 12 words or they are lost forever if you ever need to change phones or computer. This key let’s you access this wallet forever. Also guys stop embarrassing yourselves please. MetaMask has ZERO FEES!! Wow I know right. That is the Ethereum blockchain fees and those fees fluctuate with usage. The more people using the blockchain at that time the more the fees. Hey MetaMask you could add a GWEI meter to help the newer people out on when it’s cheapest to make transactions. Newer people try using layer 2 blockchains that work along side Ethereum like Polygon, Optimism and Arbitrum. There are also other blockchains that you can add to MetaMask for lower transaction fees. Go to chainlist to see almost every blockchain in existence and the info to add it to your MetaMask wallet. Stop blaming others for your lack of knowledge this wallet is easily the best wallet in crypto for Defi.

Great custom wallet. Been learning about crypto for 9 months now and feel like an expert lol I really like MetaMask wallet. Once you do your own research about how a wallet like MetaMask works, you will find it easy. Some of the posts on her sounds like people are under the wrong network and that’s why they can’t view there coins. You have to be really careful abs make sure everything is correct. Info can easily be found online. Other than that, MetaMask is a great wallet and also you can only be hacked if you gave your seed phrase or possibly left open a decentralized application like (pancake swap) without disconnecting.. FYI: MetaMask should come out with a hard wallet to connect to its software! 😁

iOS app is bad. App is laggy, when you try to submit a transaction nothing gets confirmed so when you try again and keep trying even though nothing happens in the front end, transactions get executed in the back. I ended up sending the same transaction 10 times. App also resets in the background even after 20 seconds which is aggravating because when I’m looking at a chart on another app then want to execute trade with MetaMask but the MetaMask app resets and has to initialize again, it screws up my ability to trade at that very opportunity since I have to input my password again, even though I have it set to “don’t ask for password for 10 mins”, then go back to the dapp via the MetaMask browser, then re-input all my arguments and values within the dapp. All that takes time and ruins my intended trade when on mobile device.

Beware! Money stolen from my MetaMask account. I deposited money into my MetaMask account, and I contacted a Representative through their chat service. The representative looked at my account, pointed out the incoming and outgoing money, which I already seen in transaction history. Half hour chat to just tell me what I already knew. But when we concluded that someone fraudulently took my money out of my MetaMask account, she told me there is nothing she could do. I asked where to report it and if there was any additional steps I could take, and she ended the chat without even answering me. I will never use MetaMask ever again if not resolved. Your money is not safe! I only used it once before this, and I’m very cautious and conservative with any and all of my information. I used their transfer service called WYRE, that they obviously trust. And it shows the money entered my account at say 10:01, and was sent to another hacker’s account at 10:02 without my permission or knowledge. They have that person’s IP/block chain info, and don’t care to assist or offer suggestions at all. She attached a message stating it appears your account has been compromised, which I doubt is the case because I never used it but once, and I’m very careful with my information. Then abruptly ended the chat without answering what steps I could take on a refund or who to report it to etc. Very unhappy consumer! Being a digital currency wallet platform, they should have appropriate security setup and certain responsibilities to their customers their collecting gas and fees from.

Outstanding Support. Don’t believe every negative review you read on here. I had an issue with the incorrect balance of a deposit showing up on my wallet (balance was WAY too low). I did all the recommended do-it-yourself stuff before reaching out to them. None of it worked. Well guess what, they have live chat - that’s right LIVE chat with real support agents to help you with any problems. When I reached out to them I was put to an agent immediately and they helped me resolve my issue in literally minutes and were very friendly. I wish I could put more of my coins on this wallet - but there so many different networks and they don’t support all of them. I can’t believe the great support I received for something that I didn’t even pay a dime for. Special shout-out to Mhin (I think that’s how you write his/her name) for the awesome service!

Could Do Better. Charges insane gas prices , forces you to spend eth for every transaction, swap/conversion, and transfers to other wallet. Does not let you use any other crypto to pay/cover gas fees, as if they can’t convert it, basically if your not using eth for this wallet it’s not worth putting any other crypto in it you’ll be forced to buy eth just to send your crypto to another wallet on top of the transfer fee of your crypt. Developer claims gas fee out of their hands, well why keep catering to a crypto with high gas/transaction fees , if u want good feed back cater to people that use multiple networks ,ie Algorand ,Solana,XLM some of the cheapest and fastest transacting cryptos , as I mentioned b4 let people use crypto of their choice to pay transaction fees or give them more options than just Eth for everything .it would be good for both developers/consumers and it willPromote growth throughout blockchains as not everyone wants to use Eth especially in the crypto community Knowing that people want to hodl and are prepping for eth 2.0, just look at coinbase 3Prominent apps , though problems of their own they still allow you to convert and as simple as that the entire fee structure cheapens for the user and u dnt get low ratings because everyone Complaining about gas fees.

Solana ad popup takeover. For some reason when I open MetaMask, the iOS app, there is a Solana ad that pops up. It is impossible to get to go away. Eventually after several minutes it goes away. I have searched for solutions. Nothing I have found has worked. The only thing I have not tried is deleting g the app and reinstalling it. I hate having to reenter my seed phrase. It would be great if tech companies just stopped doing things like this. Do they even test things before deploying them? I do t see how they did but what do I know.

Issues with getting quotes. I downloaded this app because it was the easiest way for me to get the new Saitama Inu coin. Thankfully, transferring Etherium from another wallet to this one so I could swap it for Saitama went off without any issues. Since then though, I am unable to swap back to Etherium. It comes up with a “quotes not available” message and when I attempt to send my Saitama to another wallet, it doesn’t recognize the Saitama as an option. At the moment, my plan is to hold my coins so it’s not a great need to have this feature at the moment but the fact that I can’t swap my coins or send them to another wallet is frustrating. Please fix this MetaMask and I’ll gladly give 5 stars. Outside of this issue the app has been great and very easy to navigate

Use it, and it will cost you!. The interface is nice, it’s easy to use, add some of the UX could use adjustments. A big issues I have is half the time it doesn’t display volumes or amounts. The real problem, you can’t adjust slippage above 5% so swapping only works 25% of the time, and because of this I’ve lost $1000’s in profits. Support has been quick to respond but unsuccessful with fixing the issues. Update: Three times in the last 3 months I’ve had to delete and reinstall MetaMask due to application errors (bugs that make the app unusable). I’ve been only been receiving general responses from support which have been of no help, and when I told them at this point the only resolve I see is to switch to a competitor, they closed the ticket saying, “We are happy you find a resolve!” Really?

Locked in. I have read all the reviews for this wallet and was a lil skeptical… but as I used it the issues I was noticing in the reviews were all very fixable! This is a wallet that does take some time to get used to but is a good wallet once you get the hang of it.. I will gladly change my review to more stars if a support team would reach back out to me.. I have been trying to contact for a week now and have not received a reply back… my funds are currently stuck and I Cannot make any transactions.. it doesn’t say that anything is pending or stuck or needs to be sped up on either the blockchain or in the app.. luckily I know all my funds are there because of the blockchain so I’m sure it can be fixed but I do need some assistance asap ! Disappointed with recent upgrades and customer service. I have had issues with MetaMask connecting to uniswap based on recent app upgrades. I haven’t experienced similar issues with Coinbase wallet or Trust Wallet and ended up contacting customer service for help. However they weren’t responding and contacted MetaMask Instagram account. Worst mistake of my life as it was a scam account and very sophisticated scam. I ended up inputting my pass phrases on “Wallet Connect” and in a couple of minutiae my life’s savings were gone. If it wasn’t for all of the issues I’ve been experiment where I couldn’t connect to Uniswap or send cryptos out from my account none of this would of happened. It’s the worst sick feeling that you could have, and not sure how I’m going to rebuild.

Stop blaming Metamask. When you utilize this application which works as a cold wallet storage. You’re going to have to connect to specific networks in order to be able trade specific tokens. For example, on the ETH network I wouldn’t be able to purchase XRP because it is only available on the BSC network and other networks rather then the ETH one. This has nothing to do with Metamask however, I see many people confusing transaction fees that are being charged by the GWEN or places like Uniswap/Pancakeswap to process a trade. Metamask is not receiving a fee unless you are using your card to buy BNB directly or ETH directly from the in menu option. More so, BSC network fees are less then a penny, even when you move over 50,000 USD. Do your diligence, learn about different networks, and figure out which one works best for you. This application is amazing and works wonders, I give it an 11/10 been using it for five years and I’m not stopping anytime soon.

It’s not what it used to be. Update: Wow almost immediately after submitting my critical review I saw an update button appear for my metamask. After updating all of my woes were remedied. Good job team. Updating my rating... for now. Suggestion: enable autorotate please! ----------- previous review ------------ To all the people complaining about not being able to sign transactions and it sending them to the AppStore: yes it’s quirky and you have to manually switch over to MetaMask to sign the transaction. I recommend using the iOS Firefox browser and doing wallet connect with MetaMask. I find that it works better than most browsers I have tried on mobile. My biggest gripe is that this app takes forever sometimes to open. I have cleared all data that can be cleared but this thing takes forever to open the app. Sometimes you are on the go and gotta make some urgent fast transactions that are time sensitive. This wallet is not reliable enough for that. Unfortunately there isn’t much out there yet. To the MetaMask team, you need to do better or you will get your lunch eaten by someone better.

Do not use this wallet. 2021 Update. IOS!! This wallet is completely garbage. Is unable to detect a transaction sent under my public address. At the time I didn’t have the Binance Smart Chain connected to my MetaMask because is no information about it. After couple of minutes I figured everything out by myself and I added the BSC network to my MetaMask. The MetaMask system accepted the change of the network and the address were I sent my coin is the same. But this crap of wallet is not able to recognize that!! Meanwhile I lost the tokens that I “transferred” to my MetaMask wallet and still waiting for their crappy technical support to get in contact with me. If you watch videos about MetaMask in you tube, THEY’RE NOT ADAPTED FOR a mobile IOS system. Also, MetaMask in IOS is built exclusively for the etherium network, meaning TOO high transaction fees!! My advice is that if you just depend on a IOS cellphone to invest in crypto Trust Wallet is the better option. Is mobile friendly and always is giving the most accurate price value of the coins at real time. Because Binance is user friendly also is real good to use it along with Trust Wallet.

Great wallet!!. My first go to wallet was trust, but I noticed that I kept on getting coins that I’ve never authorized for a transfer but instead it was sent. I’m really cautious so I tried Metamask and I DO not have an issue such as that and I love that. Moved all my investments to this app. However, I do wish we could get a line graph of the value of our coins. Something like CoinBase of the homepage that would be nice for those people use this app for their long term holdings. For example how much of our value has gone up or down you would have the option to see daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly time frame. Hopefully we just get a line graph hahahaha! Please devs!

Please fix these issues. I am doing a lot of transactions on the Fantom and Avalanche network and constantly having transactions not go through, or get stuck for long periods of time. Also the app has frozen many times and I need to turn off my phone to get the app to work again. Today the app froze completely while trying to open it. It stayed on the white screen with only a small orange diamond in the middle for over 2 hours. Turning my phone off and on again many times did not fix it. I finally had to delete the app from my phone, reinstall it, reimport all of the tokens in all of my accounts and add back the 20+ bookmarks that I use. It took me hours to do this. It’s so frustrating. I love the app when it works, but lately it seems to not be working well, more than working well. Please fix this. I’m trying to do this for a living. Thank you.

Data Loss is a known issue!?. One day I opened Metamask and it said “Metamask encountered an error due to reaching a storage limit. the local data has been corrupted. Please reinstall metamask and restore with your Secret Recovery Phrase”. If you google this, it’s a known issue. It’s a very bad bug because data loss = loss of access to funds if you lose your backup phrase or don’t have convenient access to it. Metamask should prioritize fixing this because this is a basic software engineering 101 kind of bug and the magnitude of the impact on the user in terms of risk and fear can be immense. I was lucky and could recover access but you might not be (if the stores key is lost and the secret phrase is lost your access is gone forever—also never tell anyone your secret phrase to anyone including and especially anyone claiming to be Metamask support).

Can’t sync it with desktop version. This app is so frustrating. Somehow this wallet is so bad that ON THE SAME ACCOUNT your metamask on mobile and metamask on desktop can have 2 separate balances and look completely different. I know with 100% certainty that I don’t have a phony version of metamask installed. And the only supposed “fix” is to use the sync to mobile feature in the settings but metamask disabled it because they can’t get it to work. How can anyone consider this a valid mainstream wallet with flaws THIS BAD. I know my account is safe but it’s frustrating when I have to go to my desktop to see the true amount of tokens I own because the mobile app just won’t sync and update my amount. The app is fine if your only using it to store some ether but any other token or account you add will definitely ruin your mobile account and you’ll have to rely on a desktop , making this app useless.

Trash. Hot bag of garbage. Want to buy $1.50 worth of crypto, prepare to pay $180-$350 in gas fees. Plus your % that goes to help develop this highway robbery software.- developer response is classic, not our fault and sent me a link to learn about gas fees. A better thing to do would be put your gas fees upfront, force a learning sequence that advises how high they will be before someone is able to transfer money in. You cost me five times the fees because you concealed how much it would be and gave me false hope they a different route would be cheaper. From my wallet to your wallet, from your wallet to a wallet to get what you needed to use your wallet to buy, from there to your wallet again, gas fee still to high, from there back to my other wallet because now i had a coin that cost additional to trade in my original wallet. Disappointing.

Don’t Listen to the People Rating 1 Star. Reading some of the reviews and seeing people give this one star is really lowering my (already quite grim) outlook on humanity, it’s painfully obvious that the majority of people complaining haven’t taken the time to do the most basic research about their problems…I don’t pity Metamask support staff is all I’m saying. If it weren’t such a magnet for people who would pull shady scams, there would be quite a lucrative business opportunity in creating something kind of third party support offering to help the desperate newbies seeking assistance. Food for thought.

Good program, invest wisely. If you leave under $100 of ETH coins in your ETH wallet, it may be difficult to get out. I had $300 in an underperforming coin that was “stuck”, it would have cost more in gas fee’s to get it out so it was stuck as some sort of collateral for the system i think… or something… Anyway, they came out with ETH 2.0 and gas fee’s were reduced and i would withdraw to a Centralized Exchange, for a hefty fee, and start trading and using my tokens. I was not impressed to say the least. MetaMask has no control over this, and the situation will likely improve drastically at some point in future. I am optimistic about other systems in development. Metamask runs best on Chrome Extension which does not currently run on my mobile device. I need to get a new laptop, which is recommended for best functionality between decentralized exchanges. Watch out for gas fee’s! Also there are many metamask scammers throughout the dark corners and alleyways of social media internet

Use any other platform, seriously. This is the worst platform that exists for crypto. There is no customer support, when you try and use their stupid community support your login info doesn’t work even if you just changed your password, speaking of I’ve had to change my password multiple times because after awhile it just stops working and I know this because I “change” it to the same exact password every time, your coins will just randomly disappear from your wallet and good luck getting ahold of anyone to find out why or how it was possible with no outgoing transactions, you absolutely need your seed phrase because your Face ID will also randomly stop working (hasn’t happened on any other app so far), and if that weren’t enough the fees are also at the tippy top of the market. Use other platforms it isn’t even worth it to hold a small amount of a niche coin on here, it will either disappear or you’ll lose access to it.

New update buggy. App fails to open through wallet connect, confirming swaps rarely opens any dialogue in app, if you are trying to catch a launch you will need a more reliable wallet until a new update Update: MetaMask responded offering to try and fix the issue, however I had already imported my wallet to another app and fwiw this is a widespread issue so they are already well aware… a simple fix if you want to keep using MetaMask for a specific nft launch or whatever is the make sure you have your seedphrase and delete the app and data and reinstall and import, will work for the first transaction anyway. Opening in the built in browser increases odds of working greater but still no better than 50% personally. Not trashing MetaMask ofc, and if you are using a desktop you probably won’t have any problems, But on mobile don’t risk it until it’s fixed. Miss one launch on 0 block and you’ll be a sad puppy ask me how I know

Getting there!. The new update that now explains a lot more information when entering into a contract, is a much needed improvement to help protect assets. As another reviewer had mentioned there are still a few small things that would be nice, but meta-mask is by far superior wallet compared to the other ones out there, and is actively engaging with the community to improve itself. There are still a few things that I have ran into over the past few months that require you to use the desktop version instead of the mobile version, but they are few far between and it’s understandable at times.

Decent crypto wallet. I didn't even want to leave a review, but I did it anyways because there's so many MORONS complaining about lost funds. Metamask is a wallet app, not a bank. They can't reverse your txs. They can't access your funds. Your private key (generated from your seed phrase) is used to grant access to the funds on the blockchain. If someone else gets your private key or seed phrase, OR if you grant token spending permission to a scammer, you will lose your crypto. Be skeptical. Trust no one. Separate the bulk of your funds into a wallet you don't use day-to-day. Get a ledger it you need to.

They sell your information!. I give them props on how easy it is to setup and I really like that part but, my goodness the transfer fee is absolutely insane and the worst part it’s fluctuating constantly. They will say it’s not their fault, but it is. I transferred ETH from my back up wallet on a different site and paid $6 to transfer so I could purchase a couple NFTs because it can direct link to OpenSeas, but on MetaMask you have to pay “gas price” which is silly because it’s fluctuates between $30-60 all day. I was going to send $10 and the total if I would’ve sent it was around $65. Like really? Seems like a good and secure platform but if you’re not a big baller crypto guy/gal don’t waste you time and money on it. I realize other crypto’s don’t have that big of a fee but MetaMask was designed to take ETH as your main balance when you sign up. Edit: 1 star now because they said exactly what I thought they’d say. Also if I don’t verify my account in 2 days they delete it and take your balance. 0/10 don’t use. Just recently discovered that I’ve been getting emails from fake MetaMask employees having me verify my identity. Sad this is I didn’t even sign up with an email and they still have my information. MetaMask is grimey and will sell your information. Just sad honestly

Works great with uniswap and balancer via walletconnect even though this is listed as experimental. I've had heaps of trouble with Trust wallet and Coinbase wallet connected to uniswap over mobile but metamask works fine. I really was expecting it not to be reliable since I thought the issue was walletconnect on iOS but my expectations have been exceeded. The only thing I'd like now is an in app reminder or alert or something mentioning there is a new version since I like to manage updates manually but am slack and don't check appstore every day. Keep up the good work!

Grate app. It's been a great experience thus far since I downloaded MetaMask! Contacts are broken - huge security flaw. New UI refresh broke contacts. Previously, when you pasted an address, if it was in your contacts it would be recognized - adding a visual confirmation. This doesn't happen in the new UI. You've removed a majorly beneficial security feature - conversely you've introduced a huge security risk. Also, adding a new contact used to be a lot easier. With the option provided whenever pasting a new address. I miss that too, but it's the contact recognition and associated security that really makes me frustrated. I swear... the same team that designed iOS26 must be designing MetaMask 🤦‍♂️ I would happily do an hour user interview for free to point out all the UX problems as a user who's done 10's of thousands of transactions in MetaMask mobile over 7 years.

UI showed a normal Aave deposit screen, confirmed it, funds went to a stranger's wallet instead. When I reported it they blamed my compromised key - convenient excuse to avoid responsibility. The transfer happened before the Aave approval even started, proving it was never part of the Earn flow. Used this app for years. If You’re Having Issues, That’s a You Problem. Just starting this off by saying that MetaMask is fine as a crypto wallet. All these low star reviews are evidently by new non-savvy crypto noobs. Sending to the wrong address or a contract, being a victim of high Ethereum transfer fees, can’t “find” the BNB network, etc. If you got scammed/hacked, that sucks, but you’re the fool and lack of transaction reversal is the price to pay for decentralization. I’ve personally held and traded over a million dollars of assets so far and have had no severe security issues, apart from crashes due to their recent update. Otherwise, wallet is easy to use and manage. Thanks for making a great app MetaMask team.

To all crypto noobs:. If you are new to crypto, run away. Use another app. Anything that has zero fees or is on another network that etherium. I used to love this app.. I used this wallet daily for years on multiple chains, it was my primary app, now I go for months without opening it. And when I do, it barely even works. Browser glitches nonstop. Spent over 20 mins trying to load a DEX webpage. Only issue back then was the frequent crashing, but ever since the developer embarked on a “revamp” of the appearance over functionality it has continued to get worse day by day.

Recent update won’t let me login. Normally the app works pretty well but a recent update made it to where I open the app, it brings up faceid and recognizes me, but doesn’t actually log me in. It takes me back to login, does another successful face scan, and then just stays on the login page. Desktop works fine, I’m not worried about my crypto being gone but I just want to avoid inputting my seed to recover the wallet if it’s going to glitch out again. I’m still logged in on desktop so I’m going to continue using that but I will likely not be using this app on my phone until I see reviews saying they’ve fixed the login problems.

Worst web3 Wallet. If you are into crypto for any length of time you invariably come across MetaMask as it is the most popular wallet on the most popular blockchain (Etherium). At first it seemed like a great wallet, but not on any iPhone or iPad after the first few months. It’s now to a point where it’s unusable and I don’t get how others rate it at 4.5 given just how unreliable and unusable it is on mobile devices. So, unless there is support for 2FA to prevent transactions without email/phone approval, it’s very perilous for users that want to store value in MetaMask.

txns disappeared in my history. Hello. I just updated, reluctantly. Sad I did so, for now all the transactions I have undergone for the last month are gone. For some reason, all the ones from the txn I did 45 minutes ago here on aug 29, 2021 to jul 7, 2021 are not listed in the Transactions. Why wouldn't the ones from now back to jul 7 be KEPT and all the ones before that be taken away to...why was this getting rid of the transactions feature brought about anyway? UGH! AND...my MATIC net is all glitched up, not showing assets in wallet, no transactions listed, man why did I update!?!

Bridges. One reason that I love MetaMask is most certainly it’s bridging capabilities. You may buy a lot of tokens and some you wanna keep in your cold, but some cold wallet, such as ledger don’t allow for bridging. It’s the only cold wall that I’ve ever used so I don’t know about others, but MetaMask let you bridge into ZK networks based networks and many others which allow for the movement of your tokens on your cold wallet when you need something to pay the gas fees. Take profits.

Worst wallet ever. I had one wallet where I was doing the farms well someone hacked into it and stole all my money that was available before I put into farm. I then decided I would make another wallet to try to get my money out of the farms and I couldn’t do that. As soon as I started taking out of farm I was robbed before I could get into a new wallet. So I left what was left in farm . I then needed a wallet so made another one which I had eth DIMO and a few other coins and I opened when eth was going up and as soon as I did all my coins were taken again and there are no transactions showing just wiped clean I’m so mad right now because of no transactions showing I can’t recover my money.

Useful app but one chronic flaw from a 5-star. Will someone please fix the favorites bug. I have several pages saved to favorites but the favorites never populate. I continuously see “You have no favorites yet” With scams-a-plenty nobody should be searching for sites daily. “Favorite” the legit site and refer to that favorite thereafter. Searching for dApp’s is extremely risky! Apparently this has been a flaw for several months.

They make it as hard as possible to withdrawl your money. It only take a minute to deposit money, but to withdrawal? Be prepared to go through several apps and websites, and to make several accounts for those apps and websites. It really seems like they do this on purpose to discourage people from withdrawing. This isn't to mention the gas fees. I’ve already spent a bit over 25$ out of 100$ in incoherent fees and i STILL don't have my money back. You have to make a large percentage in profits for any of this to be worth your time.

Browser doesn’t show favorites. The only real problem I’ve had with metamask so far, is that the browser will not show my favorites when I open a new tab. Making it so I have to have every account I have open in tabs so not to lose track of what I have invested in. Which is also difficult due to the pages constantly resetting to the home page every so often. It makes it far more difficult to stay on top of my crypto investments. Fix this, and it’d be the best wallet I’ve seen!

Terrible Experience. The app only works when fees are completely in favor of the platform. Unless you increase the fee beyond 3% you will either wait for hours or get timeout because the price of Eth went up and negated the gas price original set. They are no longer a true OG but rather an extremely terrible version of what the Eth community never wanted.

Wouldn’t recommend. I wanted to stake FET crypto but they don’t have their own wallet and they set up thru MetaMask i was initially down to stake, but the reviews for the app. Had me worried to begin with. so 1st I had to transfer the coin to the mask wallet from my Coinbase account I was only going to send $20 to the wallet because I’m new to the crypto game and I’m not throwing a couple $100 like id do with normal stocks. when I got to the network fee or I’ve herd the term gas fee they literally wanted half of the coin I was sending just to the wallet so they wanted $10 of the 20!!!!!! Anyone that was born before yesterday knows that an extremely unwise decision. I’d say definitely not small investor friendly.

Web 3 Connections Always Fail. Every time I update this stupid app, wallet connections on Web 3.0 sites never work properly whether I use MetaMask or wallet connect to try and sync it. It literally always take me back to the App Store to ‘open’ the app and never syncs. So I have to delete the app, reimport allllll my wallets (which I have way too many of), reimport allllllll my tokens because you guys can’t figure out how to automatically recognize tokens that are there unlike SafePal. I have no idea why your wallet is the industry standard, and I hate it. Literally the most unnecessarily complicated wallet I’ve ever used. 0/5 stars if possible

Support is horrible! Very unresponsive & surprisingly not tech savvy. Had several instances where not only was support unresponsive but they continued misdiagnosing my issue. I guess they get alot of users who aren’t that tech savvy and are able to get away with providing the incorrect technical solution. I am tech savvy and completely understood what my issue was. I just wanted metamask to fix it because it wasn’t something a MM user could do themselves. Basically, tokens had not been showing when using a Matic custom network. I showed support, several times through Matic explorer that the tokens were in fact there but just not showing or connecting correctly to the network. Even with the explorer info their support continued to insinuate that there weren’t any tokens in the wallet. Unbelieveable! Not only that but because their support is so bad scammers are actually able to pose as MM support on Reddit and scam many of the MM users that are going to Reddit to try and communicate with MM support because MM is unresponsive otherwise through other medium such as email.

MetaMask support is non existent.. I never saw my secret phrase because in the beginning I was given the option to skip. I encountered an error on iOS where I couldn’t log in because it said the apps hit a storage limit. So now I’m locked out of my wallet and MetaMask support hasn’t contacted me at all after almost a month of submitting multiple tickets in their “support”. It seems they just don’t care at all. I have tried their methods for vault data following the tutorial for iOS. Explained everything to them still no response. It seems some other people have encountered this issue, an ongoing error that has been going on for a while that they seem to not care about. If you use this app don’t expect any support.

Not again. I have been using MetaMask for a while now this is the second time it’s happened where it’s locked me out even with my saved passwords and everything still cannot get in first time. I had to start over and open up a new wallet and losing everything in it, this is the second time which I had crypto in it and it’s locked me out and I cannot get in using all my saved passwords on the phoneand every network do not use this one. It’ll scam and keep your coins.

Bring explore section for Web3 & Dapps. I love Metamask this would be a 4 star review cause I think this app is missing features I’ve been spoiled with in other apps like dark mode, but I really enjoy this wallet better than any other on the iPhone. The only reason my rating is 3 stars is because of the removal of the explore section allowing me to jump instantly into some of the more popular dapps on the blockchain. That section was so helpful I started to prefer exploring web3 in the metamask app & i was using this app as a gateway to introduce my friends to the blockchain. I really wish this feature would come back.

Most compatible multi-chain wallet. Metamask is by far the most compatible wallet for general use. Don't listen to the noobs who complain about losing coins because they didn't know how to select the right chain. Should have done their research as the crypto space is still adopting and ease of use is not quite there yet. The bad reviews tend to be from people who didn't bother to do their own research before messing around with wallets. Side note : can we get the ability to upload profile pic? Not important but a nice feature imo.

Out of Luck. I transferred from coinbase to MetaMask so I could partake in a presale. The transfer was quick, and easy from coinbase…BUT MetaMasks process for their mobile app is not as quick, & easy. Tried adding a token to my wallet so that my ethereum would be received, but they don’t allow you to simply just type the tokens name, and add it. I have spent four hours looking for ethereum’s contract address, tried five different sites, and every address I do find the app says is not the right one. Not only has this process really upset me with the lack of user-friendliness this app has, but also with the loss of my funds.

Horrible app, rarely works for critical functions. App often fails to connect wallet to dapps, also fails to confirm transactions. The app will open when prompted to confirm a transaction but now pop up notification occurs to actually confirm the transaction. Same thing when trimming to connect to dapps, the app will open but no pop up to allow you to confirm the connection. Additionally it fails to allow you to manually add custom tokens often and only works at random. It often take 20, 30, or more attempts at something g to even get the app to allow you to confirm something or do what it is supposed to as a wallet. STAY AWAY until they fix these bugs. It worked great at first but is horribly buggy now

Missing account. After having to redownload the app I logged in to recover my accounts using my SRP and the account where I had my currency in was missing. I tried everything to get the account back and was on the phone with support for 2 hours where they just kept sending me articles to follow for help which did nothing. The support person claims to have sent an email to the technical support team which I have not heard back from since. My cryptocurrency and account are still missing from this so called “ secure “ wallet and nobody is able to help me get my account back. Horrible wallet.

How much do you hate yourself?. If the answer is anything other than, “I don’t hate myself,” this app is for you. Slow, unresponsive, useless for swapping on the phone. If you are going to use a computer browser to swap, use metamask browser plugin. Using this app on your phone will result in much frustration. Update: If you continue to try and repeatedly delete, download, input seed phrase and utilize until you are frustrated with Metamask again, you won’t be disappointed with how well you are testing your patience. The developer asked for me to report my problem to them, but I think there are enough of the same reports throughout the reviews that the problem would be fixed.

Don’t rely on your password save your seed recovery phrase!. My first time swapping today and I got locked out of my account because the app crashed. When I try to login using my password, I’m getting a error message saying MetaMask encountered a storage issue and the data is corrupted. It further states that I most reinstall MetaMask and restore my account with the seed phrase (which I don’t have). Because I was confident I would never forget my password, which gives me access to my seed phrase, I didn’t write it down. I googled the issue and apparently this is a common occurrence requiring frequent reinstallation.

Why is this not Full Featured!. This is a good and simple interface considering that it deals with crypto. That’s the good The bad, I have lost so much money by failed transactions that would have been approved if not on mobile! Transactions time out. Transactions have just below the gas needed to be approved. Or the approval screen won’t pop up in general for some tokens or LPs. You can’t adjust Gas price and gwei. You can’t cancel transactions. Can’t speed up transactions. The PC version isn’t that complicated. Make the mobile version full featured ASAP. This has give me so much trouble. 2 stars until update

Broken App. When I first started using this app, things went pretty smoothly but as of late this app has not been working for me at all. It’s slow, I can’t send my crypto funds to any other address (can’t select the coin I want to send or display next at the bottom) and it has a hard time connecting with defi apps like uniswap and sushiswap. Trying to get the Binance smart chain setup is a nightmare. I’m using IOS version on my iPhone 12 and nothing seems to work properly on Metamask. I would recommend Trust wallet over this any day.

Easily hackable. If you want to lose your crypto to some fat sweaty dude this is the app for you. Very little security it’s pretty much an open gate . How easily they can retrieve your secret recovery phrase has to be some kind of joke . Have had thousands disappear into thin air . Check the address it was sent to and they’ll have 15ETH sitting in their accounts and my guess is all from MetaMask users “ you gave them your recovery phrase” Nope and I have my computer locked down like the Alamo but the boy still fell!!! . If your trying to buy nfts I would wait until meta buffs up there vulnerability or else you’ll be giving money away like 711 on 7-11. GG you owe me 3.5 ETH MetaMask

The OG. Used CB wallet since 2018 as active, but always used Metamask as back up. Started using it as my main now in 2026 and I think it’s a good move. The app has matured. It still feels like Windows XP - this is not a shiny Windows 11 experience, but if you had been around, you know Windows XP was king. And so is this app. You can trust it - which is the most important part. The rest you can figure out.

Critical Features Broken. MetaMask used to be good, setting a standard in a blockchain Web3 browser. But now theres some issue with sending assets that causes the “MAX” and “NEXT” buttons to be grayed out and unavailable. Many times the app breaks, hiding the fields where you type in the desired amount to send. Using an iPhone12, with the most recent version of the app available on the AppStore and also having reinstalled multiple times showed no improvement. At this point, everyone with the same issue just wants the app to work to move their stuff to a different wallet. iPhone 12 mini with iOS 15.1.1

Consistency. While trying out this app as an older person I find it very hard to learn and miniver through various unrecognizable titles that I’m not familiar with as a beginner to the crypto currency error. The instructions as to guiding and maneuvering through the app need to be more simplified for beginners and there should be more windows to lead beginners to the right path bul only 1 step at a time they should not be allowed to advance until they complete the setup 1 at time

Best Wallet that Desperately Needs an Update. MetaMask is probably the most versatile wallet for mobile and computer with the browser extension. Managing many networks is quite nice. This wallet has so much potential but it desperately needs some fixes to make it great. The swap feature and buy feature in-app is convenient. Now it’s time to get tokens to load quickly with accurate quantity and value after switching networks. Get mobile and browser extension accounts synced up with any changes made on either end.

Horrible customer service/Theft of Services. I contacted their customer service and they say they didn’t see my purchase on the chain and for me to contact Banxa who the facilitated the transaction. The agent was not helpful overall. I reached out to Banxa and they confirmed the transaction and sent me all the information needed to give to MetaMask. I went back into the app and followed the same steps as I did the first time and now the customer service support took me to a page stating “the page I am looking for doesn’t exist”. My $200 is in their pockets and there is no help that can be accessed. This is theft in my eyes and needs to be resolved. My only option at this point is to leave a review warning people to not use Meta Mask

I…LOVE…IT!!!. Previously I hated on this app because of not being able to switch chains, but after some digging myself I discovered the feature. This app is everything and more, and accurately helps me buy, transfer, and play with my crypto as needed. PLEASE make more security updates to this app as hackers get more nifty in due time, but other than that obviously being what you’re already doing I have 0 complaints. I’m so happy I chose MM.

Not Reliable. They don’t have a support center that you can email or talk to someone. Transferring cryptos to their exchange has been super slow over a few hours waiting for my balance to show on their app even though the app I am transferring from is showing that the transaction has been completed. By far one of the most slower apps I have encounter when it comes to transferring cryptos. Don’t really recommend it, but I understand that you might want it if they have the crypto you are looking for. Best of luck!

the fox in the app store. For years, MetaMask (MM) has served as a portal for journeys to & through Ethereum in the form of a handy browser extension. And now there’s an app for that: a pocket-size portal so we can get our crypto fix & Eth groove whenever & wherever we may be. Standing at a bar & can’t decide whether to tip a bartender in IAD or $DESAB (that’s crypto-speak for crypto-things once u get to cryptoland)?? - Just ask the fox that’s been faithfully guarding ur crops for years. Checking out a foxy mate that you wanna invite for a game of crypto ygroxes? But don’t know what to say? - Whip our ur MMapp to Ethereum & ask the foxy mate if they’ve ever heard of bitcoin? And not just any bitcoin, but wrapped bitcoin? Foxes love that kind of kinky talk. UX/UI: crisp, reactive, functional & cool. Big like. Great job to dev team for pulling off one of the greatest scaling feats for MM & Ethereum to date!

Great app. I use this app a lot but I have heard many stories about being hacked or phished. Feels like a matter of time before my wallet gets drained from thieves. So I was thinking maybe you guys can add a feature where facial recognition/passcode/2FA is required for every transaction? I know desktop version may be different so for mobile please!

Decent, but we need better. MetaMask is a good wallet. The ability to use the browser to browse through dapps works, but it is clunky. An app drawer would be a lot nicer to choose apps from and having an app GUI instead of it embedded in a browser would be better as well. Some of this comes down to dapps themselves, but still. The ability to choose a custom RPC endpoint is a necessary feature and I am glad it’s included. However, please let users decide their RPC endpoint with a settings menu before making them create a wallet. Lots of improvements to be made still, but I think the team can do it.

Intuitive design. Why is it so difficult for technically inclined people to design a website that is user-friendly and intuitive. It's not that difficult. I could easily design a simple intuitive user-friendly website that even brand new people would be able to use, but I'm not getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to do so. So please find someone who is good at not just background programming, but also interface design that can understand the high-tech but also know how to simplify the front word facing functionality

UPDATE BLOCKS YOUR DAPPS. User beware!! I’m sure it’s just a bug in the UI, but the latest update blocks my access to Bancor, I’m not sure about other dapps. When you try to link the dapp to your wallet, it takes you to the Metamask app store page and you get stuck in a UI loop, never able to connect. Not acceptable!!!! Edit: This issue was fixed for me later the same day. Updating to 4 stars as I find the app reasonably secure and user-friendly among decentralized wallets.

Support?. Does MetaMask even have support? I have sent multiple emails regarding sales on opensea and the funds in opensea not showing in MetaMask. Multiple Reddit threads show hundreds of not thousands of other people having this issue. Why are you not responding. There are so many scams with people claiming to help you with MetaMask and stealing other peoples ETH! MetaMask you need to fix your application to show opensea funds on the MetaMask wallet! This is a huge issue for me and many others. Get your stuff together, it’s frustrating for all of us.

Stopped logging in. The app suddenly stopped logging me in. I have some money in there and used my fingerprint instead of the password. Today I couldn’t log in. It doesn’t read my fingerprint and the password got lost. There’s no password reset option. The link that populates below tells me that my account will be lost beyond recovery if I proceed. So… it doesn’t respond to my fingerprint, it doesn’t populate a password reset option, and if you try to click on the ONLY link available, it tells you that you gonna lose your account along with the money stored in it. This is stealing, but who’s going to do anything about it? They’ll advise you to “file a lawsuit”. Who’s gonna do it over a hundred bucks?

Legit USER FRIENDLY SECURE EASY NAVIGATION. I’ve used a handful of crypto apps to send receive and buy crypto for various purchases and hands-down. By far this app is my favorite compared to a few others that I don’t wanna mention this app is a godsend and I am very appreciative to come across it on my own, which got me away from all those other annoying stressful apps🙏

Upgrade MetaMask. Please kindly upgrade MetaMask so that it will now be possible for holders to regenerate a new password Incase we forget it otherwise people including myself have lost my asset because I forgot my password and can not find my secret recovery phrase! I have some money in there!!! THIS IS UNFAIR! Because I attempted different kinds of passwords when I downloaded the app again it can not open again on my home screen! Hope you consider my humble request! Thank you! Pls why is the app not opening on my home screen? I’m for days now!

Not the best. This wallet/dapp barely works half the time. When it’s not freezing up it stalls! I mean I have had money stolen only from this wallet!! I consider myself a advanced user. But we are pushed to use this wallet over all others. I am aware of passcodes and 2fa. This app/wallet has so many issues i won’t even go into it. Please stop the freezing and increase the security MY GoodNESS is that to much to ask? 4/10 overall rating. Will update If fixed

Needs work.. Very clunky compared to the browser based extension.. Often won’t load correct balances, or any balances at all, regardless of network. Swaps can be tedious as well, often giving “quotes not available, try again”, and if they do go thru, they sometimes take quite awhile. Clearly needs a bit more work to function properly on cell networks, as the browser based extension is generally a breeze in comparison.

Fix favorites in browser please. But a mask is a great wallet, just a couple little things that need to be fixed. The favorites in the browser is not working and I have to manually type in all my websites for defi every time I need to go on, it was working for about two weeks and then just stopped and has never returned. I also find some weird glitches where the amount in the wallet for the different block chains will change and then reappear every so often besides that I really like my wallet and will continue to use it hopefully they can fix these things

Worse every single update. Metamask used to be the gold standard for EVM wallets. They have fallen so far from that now. Any time they try to make an update the app gets slower, they change the layout and now they’re adding all the needless stuff. Recently the prompt you to update every single time you open the app (they didn’t do that before) and now with this new update you get a terms pop up constantly, every single time you open the app. And half the time it freezes now. I’m just gonna go full time phantom at this point. Way less issues and way less needless updates.

Keeps improving. Metamask is a battle tested wallet from the start of Ethereum. It’s been the safe choice with some of the highest attention to advanced security architecture tech under the hood. While it’s been known to be behind in UX, the UI has been getting better and I am pleased with the progress and integrations in the recent versions. If you had switched to a less security-focused wallet for ease of use, maybe take another go with MetaMask’s new UX improvements!

Digital paperweight. My MetaMask wallet is basically useless after this current update! How about hiring customer service or providing a email INSTEAD of articles?!! I basically have to WAIT until whoever these developers are to do SOMETHING & YOU ME & WHOMEVER can’t ask questions or get feedback… does this sound like a wallet you want to put your money/crypto into?
