After comparison. I think this is the best backgammon available. I play the hardest levels. I sent an email to the creators concerning dice and if it’s rigged. They have a dice statistic that shows it is not rigged. The game is not gimmicky. It’s just good old fashion backgammon. So please ignore my other reviews. I was too new to this app.

Game. Cheats badly

Non-random dice. The authors manipulate the dice in non-random ways, especially when playing against the computer. I know everyone thinks the dice are rigged in these kind of online games when they’re really not because we tend to only pay attention when the opponent gets a ridiculous run of luck. However if you see exact same sequence of rolls over and over, you start to realize that they at the very least don’t know how to code a truly random sequence. Instead they use the easier pseudo-random sequence while using the seeds over and over.

A deceptive algorithm.. The algorithm for this program favors all those with a ‘D’ status - Ds will win the first roll 99% of the time, and their first roll will be one of the ideal combinations (6/6, 6/1, 6/5, 5/3,…etc) 95% of the time. Also, in the final moves, the Ds will throw the exact combination of numbers to win - 90% of the time. There are many more issues that prove that this game is manipulated to favor ‘certain’ players, without skill involved. I will not waste any more time with this program for a game I love!

Too many computer doubles. The app is great to learn but there are too many doubles for the computer plays.

Ads Are Persistent. Cannot X out of them.. Acorn Investing ads are the worst. The ad finishes playing. I am not interested. There is no X. The only symbol is >> which takes you to the App Store. Even if you go to the App Store you cannot get rid of the ad and return to the game unless you close the application and restart it. Acorn is not the only advertiser that does this. Others have an X that is impossibly small so you end up at the App Store anyway. Again you cannot close the page and return without restarting the app. I would gladly pay for this app. It’s an excellent game. But you cannot buy this app. You must endure the ads. You must visit the App Store. You must download the advertised ad. Or you must close and reopen the game. This is unethical and unacceptable. I am disgusted with both the AI Factory Limited developers for foisting this on us, and with Apple for permitting such abuse by the developers in the App Store.

Add’s. I like the game. It seems fair, but the add’s make you take a break after every game. I would pay for add free.

Favorite among all the cheaters. If only it wouldn’t freeze up every second game. Please fix. Even after shutting down my iPhone it remains frozen

Nice game. I like the game, but hate the adds. I would be willing to pay a few $ to have the adds removed.

Ha ha..this game cheats. Hilarious! You can absolutely 10000000% count on this game rolling four WHATEVER IT NEEDS whenever it needs to. Even on easy play, this game cheats. It’s hysterical. As long as you don’t mind losing….constantly….this is an attractive, easy to play, ad free game. But you’re going to lose.

Rigged dice. I have now played over 1000 games against the computer. I see in the statistics that the doubles are about the same in number but when the computer gets a double ,it’s at a more advantageous point in the game. Also when the computer is coming off the bar there is an uncanny ability to hit my blots.

It’s a good way to learn. But it cheats (won’t let you move a piece you should be able to move) and the count is off sometimes.

Yet another game that cheats. I will be deleting this app because it's impossible to win when the computer miraculously manages to roll 3 or 4 doubles of 5's or 6's at the end of the game while I am stuck with mostly 1/2 rolls.

Not Random. The roll of the dice is not random. At level 5 it rolls whatever roll it needs. When bearing off it rolls two or three doubles while I get none except in situations when it would not effect the outcome. It would be a very good app if randomness were used with every roll.

Cheater. This is not random. It cheats!

Big time cheater. Okay, I’ve counted to verify over an extended sample. This app does NOT use honest dice unless someone rewrote the laws of averages. The more difficult settings manipulate the dice rolls to make it harder to win. You will get approximately 6 2/1 rolls for every 6/6 roll. Also instead of a double every 6 rolls like you should get, it will be about 1 every 10 or 12 rolls instead. The app also is ridiculously stupid in late game situations. Accepts stupid doubles and proposes doubles even when it only needs one game to win for instance. Many other idiotic moves as well. Sheesh. Can anyone recommend a backgammon app that is both honest and intelligent in all game scenarios. I haven’t found one yet.

Most Adult Backgammon BUT…………. The game is fine, but gets hijacked by some idiotic matching game. It freezes and users must restart Apple devices to continue until it freezes again. Please fix this. It happens on both iPad and iPhone.

Why are the dice outcomes so questionable. Enjoy Backgammon (hate the background music), but why are these games all the same when it comes to the dice? Here’s a recent example. Just finished up a game where I had my opponent off the board and had only the 5 and 2 open. Guess what my opponent rolled? Yep, a 5 and a 2. I suppose that was ok - stuff happens. But, a moment later, I got him off the board again and this time I had the 2 covered, as well. Guess what the opponent rolled? Yup, double fives. Ok, ok...stuff happens. However, I immediately get him off the board again and guess what? Yup, he rolls double fives on the next roll, too. THAT IS NOT RANDOM. NO WAY, NO HOW!

Unexplained data. This is a good “live” game. It took me awhile to decipher what labels such as 25K, 1D, and 2D meant. They relate to one’s “win” achievements. It’s also nice to be able to look into the room to see who’s playing. The ranking data is a great addition., but the basis for awarding rating points is unclear. It would definitely be more interesting if there were a “chat” option for online play. My main criticism is the annoying adds,….just wait it out and look for the faint, little “x”s. Also, I am fairly certain that the dice are not always random. I actually played a game where I knew what rolls were coming up because they were an exact repeat of the previous game, lol.

Dice are definitely rigged. I’ve now played over 1000 games at level 5. All my games were against the computer. The dice statistics compiled by the game itself confirm that the dice rolls favor the computer. The statistics show that I rolled more double 1s, 2s, and 3s, and that the computer rolled more double 4s, 5s, and 6s. I enjoy playing Backgammon against a computer opponent, but I would sure like to find a game with truly random dice rolls.

What a joke. Timer is ridiculous. I lose seconds when it’s not my turn, persons clock I’m playing against resets to 312 after each move, my clock drops double or triple the actual time it takes me to make a move. Not worth it, much better games out there.

Statistically Impossible. Dont get why you would develop a game tgat statistically is not neutral. Doubles for the computer when in bearing off phase are so blatantly in favor of the computer it makes the game a poor example if backgammon.

Broken. It plays videos in the background and can’t exit out. Terrible app

AI Factory Is code for Advertising Income. at the expense of your time. The AI algorithm is so fast just look at the released updates since this program opened up multi player play 3 years ago, that it can subtly tweak the dice outcomes to keep smart, addicted players positioned in front of their ad server just long enough to make a handsome profit at the expense of your time and effort in mastering the game. True, they have a very good game but it’s outcomes are far from fair. So I leave it up to you. Swallow the red pill or the blue pill. It’s your choice. Hahahaha.

Dice are not random. At the beginning, 4 of 5 rolls are 6,5. That is not random. If one game, okay, but comes too often to be random. Still, a very fine display, matching is efficient, and different opponents such as playing against machine are first rate. Just get the dice to be random.

Dice rolls suspect. The computer seems to want to determine the win we, unless you want to believe that one of the players gets doubles almost every roll, and is able to come from behind and get all their men off first due to getting 3 sets of high doubles in a row. THE GAME CHEATS

Not user friendly. No English instructions, so couldn’t work out how to turn off the annoying music.

Rigged Game. This game is rigged and the computer wins at will. It’s a shame that Apple would allow these rooks to sell their products to apple customers

Dice rigged. The dice are rigged so ai wins most game starts and more doubles. I quit this game. Will find a better backgammon game

They cheat. Twice I lose a game I am clearly winning when the computer rolls double 6’s 4 times in a row.

Poor. The “fix” is in at the higher levels, & so computer wins

Dice are rigged. Have had multiple same rolls in a row. Had one game where 6 doubles were rolled in a row. The chances of that are 46,656 to 1! I have deleted the app. Don’t bother downloading this one. Go find a better backgammon game.

The algorithms cheat. When you set the game on the hard level be prepared for the computer to regularly role 5-9 doubles for every one that you get, and the computer will ‘randomly’ roll die that land on your exposed piece extremely regularly. It’s sad when programmers set algorithms to cheat in order to win.
