Modern essentials minus. I wish I didn’t delete the older version. I just assumed that the plus version would be better. I upgraded because of the new oils.

It’s ok..... This app is just ok. The basic functionality is good, but I’d like to see some updates, especially to the inventory section - quantity, size of bottle, easy move from wish list to inventory, location of bottle (car, bathroom, purse). I also wish the blends were named properly.

Will not open. I have had this on my phone for a few years and now it will not open. It goes to open, then immediately closes. Frustrating since it’s an expensive app for a senior on a budget.

So helpful!. It was buggy at first but they are so good at listening and fixing the issues that come up. I’m so excited to upgrade! This app is so helpful!! I love that you can change the names of the oils too!!

Latest update is buggy. Drop down menu no longer works, including search functionality. Main on-screen menu is no longer centered and is difficult to see all options.

Getting better. So far so good, however, I have some oils not listed because they were specials. Is there a way to enter these into my inventory?

The app it’s not opening. I used the app one time and when I wanted to open it again it won’t open. I deleted the application and installed it again to see if it was going to work but it did not. It opens but then it gets stuck in the home screen not showing anything except the background image. I need this to be fixed or please my money back.

Love it!. This is a great app and use it often!

Many errors. When you click on individual oils, the wrong one comes up. For instance I clicked on Yarrow and Ylang Ylang came up. I’m also not happy about having to pay for updates.

Worth the money. I recently bought this app and it’s so worth the small investment. You can search by the name of the oil or the ailment you’re trying to address.

Should be upfront about subscription. I would not have bought this app if I had known you had to subscribe for the features. I have the old app and it still works great. The inventory/wishlist features are what I wanted.....

Don’t buy, this app not working.. I subscript in this application but never worked I returned and ask for my money back but they said. ‘’ I returned in the original payment but never I received my money back, I pay $19.99 , they took my money.’’ This app is bad. Don’t buy.

Good. It’s a great resource. I don’t like that it has bugs, often. I’ve had to delete and redownload at least twice and I’ve owned access for less than a year. I don’t like the fact that I have to pay for the app and then subscribe as well to have all the access.

Won’t open. I have had this for a few years now and it crashes every time I try to open it.

Needs lots of improvement!. The old app was fantastic! It has much more detailed info than this new app. What happened to the proper names for blends?! I swear they used to be there which was really cool because it helps new customers and it matches the latest book version! Now we are back to common names?! Ugh. It’s the little things that mean a lot. The subscription fees are super annoying. Things that were included in the original app now are part of subscription? I can see charging for new functionality, but standard stuff? Really? Just charge more for the darn app in the first place. 🙄

Waste of Money Do NOT purchase.. I bought this to go along with my $1,400.00 worth of DoTERRA oils and was SO disappointed. Even after subscribing I couldn’t check which oils I wanted. I intend to get a full refund from being duped into purchasing this useless app.

Incorrect oil comes up. When tapping on the name of the oil you are not sure which oil will actually come up.

Update The Original App. A monthly fee - really? Come On

So far, not bad... but not great either. I think this is the beginning of a great app... but it’s not there yet. My main problem is the inventory/wish list section. While it’s great to know what oils are in my inventory, I’d like to be able to add how many are in my inventory, what size of bottles and if they are roll ons, mists, etc. I’d also like to be able to put their locations, and other details in them that could be quickly accessed. I’d also like to be able to add my own notes to each oil, as part of the oil information, not in a separate area. So these are just a few of my issues with the app. I think it’s a great beginning but it still has a ways to go to be a great app.

Not working!. Right after I upgraded and got subscription this app crashed on me and will not open!!

Pay to download it and the to use it?. If you are expecting to have this app with all the content for the price shown before downloading it, you won’t. You will need to pay to download the app and then a monthly fee to consult the info that really is valuable. This should have been said before download it

Mostly fixed. This app was really buggy in the beginning but the updates have fixed most of it. I can’t get things to come off my wish list once I’ve added them, but other than that it seems to work well. I think it is worth the $2/mo subscription to get the full functionality. As they improve it, it should only get better.

Had to repay for subscription. I suddenly lost my upgrade and I accidentally renewed it when I just wanted it restored. Also, even with the upgrade I still can't access some of the sections like Supplements.

App not working. The app has not worked for me for the past 5 days even with the update

Wish Search worked on Mac. I love the app on the phone. The ipad app does not rotate to landscape. On the mac, the search does not work. If you click on an item it goes to a blank page.

More than 3.99. I paid 3.99, but what I didn’t know is you have to subscribe monthly to be able to use it. What a waste of money.

I wouldn’t even give it a star if I didn’t have to. Really sad that these companies that used to be actually pretty good no longer are willing to take responsibility and they shuffle off the responsibility to the app developer. Yet when you click on the developers website it goes to their website so who in the HELL do we talk to I want a refund this is crap

Good start but but keep going.. This app is missing a lot and could be WAY better for the price. Under inventory you should be able to say how many, open or new, and size of bottle. There hasn’t been updates to this app. Not sure why you want people to pay $20 a year. I’ll be canceling. So glad I got 30 days to see what this app has to offer. After 4 days of playing in the app and seeing what it does and doesn’t offer...I’m disappointed.

Couldn’t open app. Trying to contact developer on this issue. I cannot open the app. It stops at a page with “Proceed” button but there is no text. When pressing button, it doesn’t accept. This is for both iPhone and iPad Pro running in 12.1.

Worked Great Now Buggy. This app worked great now it won’t even open. Hope it gets fixed

Works Great & A Great Resource. I think you are all being too harsh. You need to provide constructive information in your reviews. I bought the basic at $3.99, in spite of the reviews, knowing that AromaTools is a very reputable resource. The app is working fine for me. When I select an oil, the correct information is populated. Really for $3.99 you are getting a lot of information from a well trusted source. You only have to pay extra if you want some of the other features. You can pay monthly or yearly. Paying for the full version of the app isn’t much different than buying a new book each year. I think it is probably cheaper and very light weight, compared to lugging a book around.

cannot open. When I try to open this app, it shows blank first, then turned off, several times. I’m using iPhone 7, ISO 12.4.1 , cannot think of any reason why this app won’t work.

App is Unstable. App crashes every time it is opened now. Completely unusable. Cancelling my subscription immediately.

Not Happy. I’ve had this app for several years now and it’s been helpful when I need to look something up and my book isn’t handy. However, lately it’s been crap! I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it several times. I’ve called Aroma Tools & Apple and got no help from either other than “sorry, here’s a refund”. I paid for the upgraded version for several reasons, one being for my Business, but now when I go into use my “upgraded” version it acts as if I only have the basic version. AGAIN! It was working fine but now after the latest update it keeps asking for me to Subscribe! AGAIN! 🤬 What the hell did the programmers do to the app? And why didn’t they beta test the code before dropping it? First rule of coding, never make changes to a working program unless you’ve tested it first! Fix this and refund me my money, AGAIN!

Where is adaptiv??. The reason why I paid $4 for this app is for quick reference ... I plan to meet someone today for lunch and talk about ADAPTIV and it’s not listed under anxiety or anxious feelings... and it’s our new arsenal in our pocket to help MANY people! I followed info in the back of the book... The NEW ME PLUS APP.... and I just bought the newest 11th ed 2019 ... hoping u add it ASAP!

Disappointed. This is my second download of this application. The first on a Samsung galaxy, the second on the iPhone XR. When downloaded to the iPhone XR I now notice that I cannot enter my inventory anymore because I now have to pay an extra fee to do that. This was an utter disappointment I am so sorry that I ever decided to download it the first time much less the second. Shame on you for continually trying to nickel and dime the public. I am no longer interested in spending money on doTerra oils at this point. Thanks for ruining it for me.

New update not working. Since the new update 4 days ago the app will not open on the iPhone 12 I have. Please fix issue as this is always my go app for oils.

Transfer from android. I don’t seem to be able to request support, send feedback or transfer my paid android account to an iPhone...

Love the app but needs work. I love the app! Went to use it today and it won't open so I did an update on my phone and the app and now it opens but freezes on the proceed page. I really love this app as a quick resource when my book isn't handy but I paid for the full version and now can't use it. I hope it can get fixed soon or I will ask for a refund.

This needs work. I see what you’re trying to do with this app and I love the idea. However, it looks like something got super messed up somewhere. The oil information pages are all mixed up and if someone who doesn’t know a whole lot about oils looked at them they’d be really confused. Please fix this ASAP!!

Major disappointment. Serves me right for purchasing before reading reviews. The app crashes continually. I haven’t managed to keep it open for more than 30 seconds. On the limited viewing I’ve had it looks to be confusing and clunky. I may check it out again in the future but for now, it’s getting deleted. So sad. I was looking forward to something amazing.

Newbie!. Just purchased the whole year subscription for extra features. So far I’m trying to update my inventory but most of my essential blend and oils I cannot find on the list. A bit frustrating!

Massive disappointment. Hardly any info. Not easy to read. I don’t understand why there wasn’t just an update with new oils on the old app which is way better.

Disappointed. App looks good, but isn’t worth the money. Not exactly cheap to purchase the “basic” app, and the amount of features that require a subscription is ridiculous. Not planning on wasting any more money on this.

Subscription rory. I refuse to pay for an app that offers subscription just to take peoples money continuously, let alone on an app that’s proven to be beyond useless to use and lacks all the information from the original app I happily would’ve bought but is lo longer available.

App glitches are very disappointing. Can’t even open the app currently to be able to email developer and app support is unavailable through AppStore - takes to an error page. Although previous glitches have been rectified once brought to developer notice, the app continues to get serious glitches and on this occasion I can’t even open the app, it keeps crashing!

Disappointed.... I have written in padt Re problems with the app. You said yours works fine. But months later still the same. Inventory is cumbersome. Won't delete an item in wish list from within the inventory. Often just freezes. Have to manually find the oil and page to remove from wish list. If a big order just came in, this is very time consuming. Freezes at times, shuts down at others. Not nearly enough info. I am paying subscription and thinking of canceling. Just not worth it!! So much so I have ordered book oil magic! Thought with app I didn't need a book, but not so. I have Modern Essentials last year's version and it is way way better than app, yet I am nearly paying same for app and subscription as the book. Very disappointed indeed. Listen to your users and make this a more informative app and with the investment.

If I could give 0 stars I would. App doesn’t work with the update. You would hope when there’s been more oils and after waiting the app would be better not keep crashing and not even load! Waste of money!! I’d be expecting a refund too

So angry they changed it to subscribe. It used to be awesome ap and reasonably priced. Now you have to pay to subscribe! No thank you. Not cool to suck everyone in then suddenly up the price. Sneaky and underhanded. I am not impressed.

Disappointing. As an avid DoTERRA user, I was excited to purchase the updated app. That excitement was quickly quashed by the fact that most extra functions on this app require you to pay extra to subscribe to experience the full functionality. Poor poor choice by me. This purchase is completely unnecessary if you already have the ME app.

Awfully disappointed. I was so excited to hear a new app had been released. I thought it would be bigger and better. WRONG!!! It’s rubbish. The old ME app is far better then this. It’s easy to use takes you right to the search field and presents everything in an easy to read format. The new up is full of drop downs, information is missing, extremely hard to read as use on a phone and that’s after you find the search field 🙄. Put frankly it’s a waste of time and money.

Disappointed. I can’t believe this is the upgraded version. After waiting years for them to update it with the new oils, the usage info has barely any info at all!! Come on, Copaiba should have hundreds of uses. Not 4! The app looks complicated and messy. Usages buttons are in big blobs all over the page. Lots of extra features you need to pay for. I’m switching over to My Essential Life instead. I wish they had just updated the old version with lots of amazing info. Sadly, it’s a miss.

Not full access even though paid for app!. Really not cool when you charge $4.99 for an app and then don't have full access! Where they still want you to buy a monthly or yearly subscription on-top of paying for an app! I have the hard cover book at home and thought it would be handy to have this on my phone. But it isn't! :( Please make it free and subscription or pay for the app with full access! Thanks

Convenient. I find this app very convenient. You have a ton of information right at your fingertips without having to bring a book along! (unless you’re the type that prefer hard copies). Basic is useful, but if you buy the subscription which is approximately $26 per year vs buying a hard copy (which is approximately same price) you get all the updates without having to purchase another book! Unless you don’t buy an updated book yearly, then this app subscription won’t be worth the money unless you love convenience:)

Complete and effective. A really good replacement to the book. Used to bring the book everywhere but now i keep it home since I found out that most of the information is in the app. Like a reviewer said, the price is worth if you are planning on buying a new edition of the book every year. User friendly. Easy to use. Very efficient. Interface is not the most beautiful, but it does what it has to do.

Keeps Crashing!. Really want to love this app but every time I search for something in the menu, it crashes. Basic seems to work just fine. Got the full subscription on a trial basis. Hope they can fix this asap!
