I’m officially a “bird person!”. My partner and I recently purchased a couple of birdfeeders and we wanted to know if the birds in our area we got this app and were able to identify birds and have already learned so much. Within a day I had already purchased the whole ad free version with unlimited identification and bird songs.I absolutely love this app and if there is one thing do you think you will be rarity ratings for the birds in my area and how likely I would be able to see them and improved bird identification with picture identification. Thank you for the awesome app with the reasonable full version price.

Multiple Birds. There’s multiple birds in my yard & I wanted to know which ones. I had to screenshot to save to show the neighbors since we feed them. But when I go to confirm a bird, it only lets me confirm one of six that are in my area. I can’t go back & look at all the birds & their calls, etc. You’d think if it confirmed several birds, that when I stopped the recording, I’d be able to go & scroll through all of them, but nope & that’s disappointing! Otherwise I’d give you 5 stars! If you could find a way to fix that eg: so ppl know that there’s starlings in my back yard & they’re a pain, others might want to know their location bcz of how destructive they are to other nesting birds! Please try & fix this & save all of the birds that it has recognized & we can go back & add each one & not just look at the ‘one’ we accepted! Thank You in Advance esp if you’re able to modify the app to do this!

Goodbye Books!. Fabulous app for a novice or seasoned bird watcher! For years, my husband and I have been searching through books trying to identify birds. No more! I even used a picture of a bird that my husband took last year to identify it. Amazing, had it within 10 seconds. Then I took my phone onto the deck to identify what bird the beautiful song was coming from, and bingo, just a few seconds and I had it. We have a number of bird feeders, and all I need to do is aim my camera on my phone at a bird, and within seconds I know what kind of “customers” are calling. As an added bonus, the yearly subscription was 50% off! For $10, I no longer need to frantically page through bird books, trying to remember every detail of a bird, and arguing with my husband as to what it is! Great app, great price and great timesaver! I highly recommend it.

I absolutely love this app!. I just recently (since the pandemic) decided to get to know all the different birds living around me. I see so many different kinds and I love waking up to their songs. Im so glad I have this app. It’s saved me time from researching through song files and guessing by pictures. It’s addictive and Im constantly pulling up the app when Im out in nature. The community piece is really nice and if you have any trouble identifying a bird the app has very efficient support that responds fast and I find them to be very personable. Worth every penny

My new partner. I’m not confident enough to consider myself a birder yet, just someone who loves the outdoors and now loves birds. This app has made it very easy to figure out what I ‘may’ be seeing. Offering links to bird sounds, pictures and other information about the birds, I have learned a lot about them. I freely admit, hawks still are a mystery to me; especially with the light and dark; my new goal! I also appreciate the wonderful customer service provided when I saw a goose that nobody could help me id…you did!

My favorite app. My grandmother and I share a love for watching birds. Now living several states away, I am able to still connect with her over new birds we come across. My 7 year old son LOVES this app. My son is excited to spend time outdoors identifying various birds either by sight or sound. I recently identified, what I thought was an Owl who hated me as it would “hoot” loudly near my window during the mid morning hours as a Mourning Dove! My grandmother won the bet as she believed it was not an owl hooting mid-morning or afternoon. This app is basically making money for my grandmother! In all seriousness, this app is fun, educational, well organized, and by far my favorite app. I emailed a question when I had trouble locating a bird and was pleasantly surprised to receive an email back within hours! It was an error on my part (no surprise) and not the app. I was very happy for such a persons experience in resolving my issue in a timely manner. Worth every cent! Well done and thank you to the owner of this app!

Exactly what I wanted!. I recently moved to a very woody suburb. I’ve started hiking more than I used to as well. The sounds of birds are everywhere! I could tell that they were all different, but had no clue who was in my backyard. I’m glad I got this app. When I’m on my hikes, waking up in the mornings or just relaxing in my backyard I can tell who’s around me. I love that I’m able to record their sounds, take their pictures and document that they are in my backyard as well. It’s like having my own encyclopedia. Definitely worth it!

Immediate IDs. This is such a fun app to use! No needing to figure out what kind if tail a bird has, or its relative size, etc because it does a “live action” view of it and narrows it down with a % of likelihood until it positively identifies it! I love that I can also identify birds by their calls. So much easier than trying to remember the call as I listen to the bird calls CD I have. My only issue with this feature that we live in a heavily forested area next to a river so there are a good number of birds singing at any given time so ID is more difficult. Overall, I’m glad I found this AND very happy to have spent the extra money to upgrade it!!

Solid app. So far I do like this app, even though I’ve had an app on my phone for birding that I do love! It’s always good to have another. I do love how you can take quizzes too. I have yet to try the identifying parts but look forward to doing that. However, the downside, as people have mentioned, are definitely the ads. I was attempting to take one of the quizzes but every five questions it stops to play a 30 or 15 second ad which is annoying. I know you have to expect that with a free app but 30 seconds is a long time. Plus one of the ads wouldn’t let me exit out so I had to exit the app so now I will have to start the quiz all over again. Overall, seems like a decent app and I look forward to exploring it more and hopefully will be successful in taking future quizzes!

Easy peasy. We never paid much attention to birds until last summer we noticed some that we had never seen before. I found this app and was able to identify all the species within moments! You can search by song, photo or search through birds in your area. A neighbor had a photo of a bird that we were all trying to figure out but I couldn't find it in the app so I wrote to one of the experts within the app. Michael Smith responded with the correct answer within minutes! Thank you!!

Worthless for song ID’s. If the developer would like me to purchase the ad free version it would help if it would correctly ID a bird ! I started my test with a Northern Cardinal whose call I knew. To be able to start a recording I had to listen to a 30 second commercial. Of course the bird had stopped singing by the time the commercial was finished. So I tried again and after another 30 seconds the matches were first a starling, next an American goldfinch and best of all a male mallard. When I selected one of the “matches” I got a screen with several calls, songs and some other choices. After playing the first call which did not match at all I tried to select another. I would only be able to listen to another listed call if I purchased it or listened to another 30 second commercial. Of course, I could not reject the choice I made and choose another without starting over. Needless to say I will not purchase the ad free version and will delete the App.

Fantastic for the bird-curious. I am new to birding and was looking for an app that would help me begin to identify my backyard birds. I am completely blown away by the amount of information, gorgeous photography, clear audio clips, and general ease of use of this app. It’s really boosted how quickly I can learn my birds, and my three-year-old daughter even has fun with it to boot. Highly recommend the subscription, as you get so much more out of the app, but it’s well, well, well worth it.I started with the free version and within a few hours I upgraded and I am super happy I did!

Super Fun. I just purchased the full app and I think it is so worth it. It’s really fun to identify the birds using the camera and microphone. Sometimes if there are a lot of bird sounds around me, it takes awhile for the microphone to pick up the exact bird. I’ve noticed if I keep recording and wait a few minutes, it will give me a few birds to possibly choose from. The percentages and multiple attempts help me pick the right one. Im also able to verify it if I can get a picture of the bird. I’m happy to support this app and get to know the birds in my surroundings and places I visit. Thank you for something educational that I can do with my children!

Surrounded!. I am surrounded by birds! When I am on phone calls (or zoom calls), whether I’m inside the house or out, the people I’m talking to always comment that they love to hear the birds. So, I got curious about all the different types. I found this app and downloaded it on a whim. Now I find myself rushing the door to capture the song of some bird that I don’t recognize! I don’t love having to watch an ad now and then, but I do love being able to catalog all of the birds around me. It’s nice to know who’s in the neighborhood! I look forward to traveling with the app, too.

Made the wrong purchase. I purchased the wrong item. I contacted the app and got a reply within minutes. Got a refund. My husband was shocked. I was pleasantly surprised. So about a week later I went back to the store to see if I could find what I was really looking for. I had a question. I emailed the app and immediately got a response. Love it. This is the way an app should be handled and from what I understand one person does it. Kudos to you, you know how to do customer service the right way! Thank you👍🏻

A well-designed and useful app!. Some bird calls and songs happen out of my sightline, and I love this app for allowing me to quickly record sound and identify the birds. Then I get to read more about the bird, sample its other calls, and even report the bird's location. I use the app in my home garden of many feeders and bird baths, or at the local Wildlife Reserve where many migratory birds pass through seasonally. I like the ID features such as by question/look/size, and calls. There is a ton of good information supplied with the app, like a field guide. I think it's perfect for everyone interested in birds. I tested out quite a few apps before deciding this one is well worth the premium all-in-one subscription membership. Thank you.

Love This App. Since retirement bird watching has become one of my great joys-the thing I wanted to do but never had time for. I have been so happy with the Smart Bird ID App. Everyday I discover something new in my own backyard. I am discovering the names, songs and feeding habits of a wide variety of birds using this app as my primary learning tool. It is great having Michael and a team of experts at my fingertips. When I have a question I get immediate feedback. I can send a bird photo and they even confirm my identification. Without a doubt my most often used and shared app is Smart Bird ID. I would highly recommend it.

Compared to similar apps - this one offers more. So much good about this app. I tested plenty of others. A few highlights: by sound the app suggests the bird you are hearing and the % of liklihood. You can also take a picture and the app helps identify the bird. Search by bird name (lots of good info), search by location. The social network allows you to see other (real) people’s sightings in your area - and you can track your findings! My favorite feature is the ability to listen to the various sounds of various birds. And this app has more sounds than other apps. My only dislike is the inability to copy and paste info on the birds. I’d like to easily add notes to my journal by doing so. Excellent app that functions well. The free trial helps you know what level you want to pay for. And for what you get, the price is low. Great app!

New Birdie!!!. I have officially, as of this summer become a BIRDIE! (first time using that term) I love this app! Ive tracked many birds in my yard but my favorite experience was just the other day. I saw my first Robin and I was so excited! I wanted to make sure that the song was that of the Robin so, I played a recording from the app... I saw something behind me but, didn't really pay much attention to it. When I got up from the bench, the Robin was literally right behind my shoulder on the bench... and didn't budge when I got up! I think he now thinks were mates... lol. Great app and customer service! #RoshéTheMUA 😎

Must Have Top Birding App!. New to the birding scene I have tired a few different birding apps and this one is by far one of the best. It easily has the most expansive list of birds and is great for both domestic and international species. The information provided for each bird is very detailed, much more than other apps or even some guide books. It is also VERY impressive how responsive Michael is to emails regarding requests for additional birds to be added or suggested app improvements. Response time was within the day and sometimes even within the hour! Dedicated birder and app designer!

Good now and I’m sure will get better. I really like the features of this app and know it will help me as I learn to identify birds. I am especially interested in the song identification feature. Ufortunately, it can be kind of hard to isolate the particular birdsong I want to know about (or capture it at a high enough volume), so it doesn’t always work for me. But the developer was so responsive when I had a question about the app—if he’s putting that much work into improving the app too, it’s definitely going to get better and better. I look forward to using it.

Smart Bird ID is awesome!. This app is very helpful! After living in Hawai’i for the last 20 years ,moving back to Colorado after being gone for (40 years), my memory of the different birds in Colorado was definitely not the best- actually, I am surprised my interest in birds is so high. My husband (originally from upstate New York) is watching and feeding the birds daily and even with a Colorado backyard bird fold out poster we could not identify many. The Smart Bird ID is helping with photo, guide and even song ID’s…recently sitting on the front porch I recorded the sounds around me and the app identified a hawk before it was in view which had me aware and looking for it- a beautiful experience! What a JOY! I highly recommend this app and look forward to using it often at home and in the Colorado wilderness! Sincerely- Flora

Now I love birds!!. Here’s my situation and it may be a minute or so long but I just wanted to thank some people! First off I was never looking for birds but my grandmother broke her wrist and came to live with me it’s been a couple months but a few weeks ago she started to ask about birds and bird feeders because we live in Phoenixville, PA That being said I have like 10 bird feeders, bird suet feeders and meal worm feeders hummingbird feeders and of course I did this all for her so I found this app and downloaded it next thing I know my wife and I are bouncing from window to window looking for birds and Identifying them with the app so needless to say there’s 3 bird watchers at my house and grandma is running in 3rd place but we all love it thanks so much great app and fully recommend it to anyone I even asked for help and got a ID back the next day after I sent the email so thanks so much just happy and amazing things for us!!

Great for identifying birds by sound. I was looking for an app that is easy to use, responds quickly, and would identify birds by sound. This is it. When I hear a bird I want to identify, it is quick to get to the sound option. I like that I can save my identified birds and their sounds and any pictures I took. The free version worked fine, but I wanted more features. The price is right for upgrading. Make sure to understand the different options before selecting the right one for you. I impulsively selected the cheap option. I may upgrade to the more advanced option.

What’s That Bird, Lvl 100+. Okay, so I’m a big “wanna know” type of person. Whatever it is, I wanna know. And so is my 6 year old son. “What’s that bug?” Pull out Seek by iNaturalist. “What’s that song?” Pull out Shazam. “What’s that bird?” Pull out this app right here. Doesn’t matter if we can only hear it - you know why? Yup, it’ll identify that bird by sounds only! Then it links you to all the other “wanna know” stuff - distribution, habitat, diet, all that jazz. No other bird identifying app or website comes close. Cause when you wanna know, you wanna know! 👍👍

Great app except…. A comprehensive reference and recordkeeper for beginning and advanced birders alike. One downside however, is that I cannot get the recognition by sound function to work. I have checked all of my settings including permissions but every time I press the record button in the app no sound is registered on the screen not even when I tap the phone microphone. It would be great to have this feature working and perhaps it’s only my situation but if not and if a fix is possible that would move this in my mind from a four to a five star app.

They changed their practices. Trying to stick it to the man.. I put down $30 to get access to the library for a full year. I thought that was steep but the ratings were high, so I went with it. I initially used it last year a few times a month. It was fun novelty. Now it’s spring and as I hear more birds I’ve reverted back to trying to use the app. But now I have all of these prompts for up-charges. “You’ve already identified one bird today. Close or visit the App Store for an upgrade or listen to an ad.” One chirp ID wasn’t what I signed up for, Missy. And I’m not listening to one of your ads in the peaceful wild when I’ve already paid up for access to a data base. This Birder is too greedy for me.

I Think I May Be A Birder Now. I’ve never been interested in birds really. But sitting outside on my deck this summer I kept hearing a bird that had a unique call unlike most I hear in my back yard. I said to my family, “Wouldn’t it be cool if there was an app like Shazam but for bird songs to help identify the species?” Next thing you know I’m in the Apple store buying this app! The next time I heard that bird I quickly whipped out the app and used the search feature with sound recording. It positively identified it as a California Quail (a bird I am familiar with but not the song/call apparently). In the app I played the male California Quail call and this bird left his perch from my neighbors tree and flew aggressively right at me! I think he was planning to take me on until he got a little closer and realized I was a bit bigger than him! He perched in the other neighbor’s tree and resumed his song. I went inside and had my daughter come out to see if it was just a fluke or what. I played the male call again and sure enough he left his perch and flew to our roof top just over the deck where we were standing and peeked over at us to be sure we weren’t another male quail invading his territory. Then he flew off. Super cool experience! Super cool app!

Love the whole experience!. I LOVE the app and I feel smart when I can identify birds in our yard and tell my husband! It’s so easy and satisfying! My only complaint is that many of the birds stop calling the minute I start recording. 😆 I love that I can use many of the features as a beginning birder even without a subscription. It really enticed me to learn more and become a subscriber. Overall, it is a useful, elegant, ui friendly app. Thank you for enriching the experience of enjoying my backyard and opening my eyes ( ha!) to a whole new hobby!

Great app, spectacular support!. My daughter and I bought the app on a whim while taking a walk in the woods. It’s terrific. I love the ability to identify birds by appearance or audio capture. It’s also really fun to see what others in the area have identified recently. I encountered a small bug (one bird’s audio files weren’t playing back) and emailed the developer, who responded within hours. That’s great support! We’re very happy with our purchase (the basic app is great, but we felt the full upgrade was reasonably priced and added some convenience—plus, we like to support developers).

GREAT app for information about the bird!. I use Merlin’s bird ID for basic identification of bird through their song and their plumage, but I find there isn’t much information about the bird on their app. This app is outstanding for more information about the bird! With information about what they eat and their habits, it’s a great education tool. I also really enjoy the song identification features and for people like me who find it hard differentiating bird songs every now and then. I also really like the social feature of this app! Great to see where other borders have spotted some great finds! Highly recommended :v

What an amazing learning app with children & adults!. I downloaded this app, hoping it could help identify some of our backyard birds. I was blown away at the fact that the app can also give more insight into the specific bird that is located. Appx distance and tells how many were heard. Then begins your log of your birds, and keeps the recording for you. As a mother of three sons, ages 9, 7 & 4 who want to know all these birds we see and hear in our yard... it’s SO much fun to do with them! And then, some kind of crazy magic happens and my boys are now reading ALL about birds. 🤩🤓 🦅 🐦 We are so excited to use it on our vacation next week to the Gulf of Mexico. On our hikes we love using this! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️- 5 stars 100%!

Nailed It!. I have used a couple of other bird song/call identification apps in the past. I just got this one and the very first time I used it, it correctly identified my bird as one of two possibilities with the higher percentage given my bird. If, like me, you live in a wooded area with lots of tree coverage for ‘hiding places’ preventing you from getting a visual, then get this app if you’re able to record it’s call. You’ll know soon enough what your bird is and hopefully (as I’m hoping), you’ll get that rare sighting. You’ve got to know it’s there first, though and this should help.

Nice app. I’ve been using the free version of this app for about a year now. I finally decided to upgrade to the paid version because of their option to email pictures to a live person to help ID a bird that Didn’t find a match in the free database. The email came in Less than 24 hours. Michael was who wrote back and he verified the bird and also explained that the bird may not have successfully been Identified because it is molting. I especially like that you can reply to the emails and it is not a robo mail. If you’ve enjoyed the free version for awhile, I recommend you give the paid version a try.

Fun way to quickly learn about birds!. I love this app! I have always enjoyed hearing different bird sounds, now that I found this app, I am able to quickly identify the sounds and learn more about the birds, where they are from, what their migration patterns are and so much more. The bet thing about it is that if you can not identify your bird by the picture or the sound, you can email the app developer and they immediately reply back and tell you what the bird is. Ive never had that with any other app. I highly recommend this and hope you will share it!

Beginner birder. I’ve never paid much attention to the birds that frequent my garden, but last year, during the lockdown, I spent more and more time outside and found myself fascinated by the birds who call my garden home. I had absolutely no knowledge of what I was seeing and the Bird ID app has been absolutely invaluable in helping me to identify the birds and learn more about them. The app is easy to use, has multiple ways that you can search for a bird and the way that the birds are categorized is so simple. I’m into my second spring of watching the activity in my garden and still use the app every day.

Super Fun. Being more of a casual bird watcher in Western Washington on the Long Beach Peninsula. My wife decided to get four bird feeders with various seeds and see what we attracted. It is so fun to be able to see the different birds flock to the feeders. I use the app to not just find out what birds are present but also to plot them so others can see what birds were found where I live. I also love the bird call feature that lets you record a bird call and the app tells you what bird you are listening to. I currently only have the free version but I am going to get the annual version to unlock all the amazing features. Thanks for developing a great app.

Great personalized help. I downloaded the app to help identify a flock of birds I have been seeing this year that I had not seen before. The app pulled up some suggestions based on my description, but none matched. I used the contact info in the app to see if a person could give me a definitive match. Sure enough, within a day I had a reply back and the link he sent to a picture was a match to what I saw. Loved the quick personal response. Thanks, Michael! P.S. I scrolled through the list of recent sightings and found a picture and name of a bird my sister and I had been trying to identify.

Brighten Your Day!. You’ll enjoy quickly identifying the birds you’re seeing with Smart Bird ID’s “Nearby Birds” list and “Song ID” search tool. Their Widget (for your phone’s home page) will satisfy your curiosity about our avian friends, one bird each day. When working on your computer, entertain yourself. Open “Smart Bird ID” in the App Store or Google Store. Position your app screens so you can see a few birds hopping around while you write that report and balance your checkbook. It lightens the load! (And check out all the features available for your phone and pad.)

Spring Bird Story!. So I’ve had this app for awhile now and used it a bunch last summer while sitting on the porch to identify the neighborhood birds. Now that it is spring again, my little bird collection is growing as new flocks come in and over while they migrate. This morning I had a sweet little bird sitting right outside my office window chirping at me for hours. So I got curious and fired up my bird identification app! Of course I didn’t realize it was several updates behind - the app just kept crashing so I emailed for help. Michael was very patient with me emailing back and forth - but we eventually figured out what had occurred and I was at last able to identify my sweet little house swallow. Thanks for your help, Michael! I anticipate using this app a ton this spring and summer! I also absolutely love the birdsong library.

Great App for Bird Lovers!. I love this app. My favorite feature is the “Song ID”. There have been so many times where I’ve heard a bird and thought, “What bird is making THAT noise???” I launch Song ID, hit “record” and get an answer within seconds. Another cool function is that it let’s you see which birds other users in your area are tracking (that way you can keep an eye out for them). Functionally it’s solid too, so I haven’t experienced any glitches or problems while using the app. Just makes watching and learning about birds better!

Lost my bird to an ad :(. I was super excited about this app as I’ve had a bird hanging out in the trees of my front yard and have been dying to know what it is. After a week of watching, I FINALLY got a chance to get a good pic for an ID and when I opened the app to use it, I got a prompt to watch a 30 second ad instead. Of course, in bird watching, 30 seconds is a life time and I lost my glorious moment. I understand the need to make money to support the ad, but could it at least been done after the ID and before giving me the results so I don’t lose the opportunity to capture the image? I was so sad and disappointed. I’m deleting the app. Too bad because I feel like it would have been awesome to use.

Advertisements/Accuracy. This app is fun to use as I am a longtime bird enthusiast. My primary issue is every time I try to identify a bird either through song or by camera, I must watch a 30 second advertisement first. Usually the bird is long gone by the time the ad finishes. The accuracy of the bird identifier is about 50%. We had a bird singing all night, the app identified the song as a Mockingbird. Next day I saw the Mockingbird singing the same song. Today I saw and heard a crow clucking in a tree. I ran the song identifier and 30 seconds later it indicated the bird was either a Veery or a Marsh Wren, which is not even close. I attempted to use the camera ID but the bird was gone before the ad finished. I also find it annoying every time I search for information I need to visit the store. I use other bird identifier apps, as I am trying to determine which one I will spend money. This one is among the more accurate ones, but that is not saying much. I have no problem spending money on an app to rid the ads, but not if the app is not accurate. The search continues...

Isn’t accurate much of the time.... Much of the time the app vacillates between three birds and none of them is correct. Moreover, when you want to listen to the default song for whatever it comes up with it says you have no internet connection. Then if that problem goes away, you can’t hear the sample song because it doesn’t play through the speakers! Frankly pathetic. I can do better listening to a song and going through another app full of songs per bird and narrowing it down that way. UPDATE: The internet connection message seems to have resolved AND sounds now play through the speakers. Making progress!

Love This App. Never did I realize how many different birds live around my home, until I retired and found myself listening to each different song—actually hearing differences, and how unique each one is. I became so curious that I sought out an app for my iPhone that I might use to identify these individual birds I was hearing outside of my window first thing in the morning and throughout the day. I respect the individual who developed and maintains this app, in their spare time. As one who once worked 50-60 hours per week in my career, and developed and maintained a website (different topic) I can appreciate the passion and commitment that it takes to keep something like this going in your “spare” time.

Reminds me of the good old days!. I used to bird watch with my grandmother who seemed to know EVERYTHING about the birds in our backyard. She could name them, imitate their calls and noises, and tell me when and where they migrate! As much as I was able to remember, this app helped fill in the blanks and lead me to even more knowledge about my favorite birds and unfamiliar ones. I’ve picked up my grandma’s torch as the family’s “bird lady” and I couldn’t be happier (not to mention I couldn’t have done it without Smart Bird ID). It’s given me a hobby that helps with my anxiety and depression and gets me out of the house and back into nature! I highly recommend this app!

I’m hooked. I stumbled upon this app searching ways to identify birds that I’ve photographed. Identifying the birds with the assistance of this app actually brings the images to life. Learning the traits, habits, songs, etc. helps me capture the view I need to show their character through the image. I listen to the song of the bird, identify the bird through the app and then search through my lens patiently. I like the recorded bird songs listed for each. Very helpful. App owner responsive to assist in additional info I may be looking for.

Awesome for beginning birders!. I love this app! It has a robust list of birds from all around the world and best of all it has all the birds where I live also. As a novice birder, its hard to identify birds when you don’t have much to go on other than a few details like a splash of color here or there...but this app makes it super easy to go through birds that other people are seeing in the same area. If you can get even a so-so picture of the bird you can upload it and it will give you suggestions on what bird it could be. You can even upload a sound bite or the bird’s song to help ID the bird — that’s amazing! The app also has built in quizzes to help you learn how to identify different birds. And even a quiz for learning sounds of birds! And one of the most impressive aspects of this app is the support. I had a few questions and suggestions and got feedback from the developer within the hour! That is an unprecedented level of support! This app is totally worth the money!

EXCELLENT app! Highly recommend.. I don’t use many apps and often purge my home screen ... and this one will definitely make the cut!! I am SO pleased and was so impressed that I ended up purchasing the family subscription. We are all thrilled with the features and the functionality! We could not have asked for a better app that provides reliable, complete, interesting and relevant information. I’ve also already recommended to several other people. For avid or amateur birders, this will be a great resource. Bravo!

Incredible app. I love this app! It has so many incredible features, including of course identifying sounds but also descriptions, pictures, pdf files on identified bird songs, locations they were recorded, birds and their songs and locations identified by others in the surrounding area, and more. I’m a new bird watcher because I discovered this app while googling bird sounds one day from my backyard deck. I had no idea there was such a variety of birds in my yard!! If anything not totally positive is that now I spend too much time birding!

Fun for kids and adults. We love it! It’s so helpful and fun. We love being able to identify a bird through sight or sound. Quizzes are fun too.

Love it. A wonderful companion app for bird lovers. I have this installed both on iPhone 13 and iPad Pro 2021. The one issue is that it will never update when one is available. On both platforms all other apps download updates seamlessly and any attempt to update the app in que or alone, will simply spin and go back to state “update” I went to devs site to trouble shoot and nothing pops out on my end that does not allow an update. In short. I have to delete app and reinstall.

Meh. Buggy. I understand having ads to support the app but half a minute ads defeats the purpose of trying to catch a picture a bird before it flies away. You know because they are wild and can be skiddish….

Great app.. Great app. It really works and identifies the various birds

Amazing. I live in Canada but im curently in el Salvador and this App is AMAZING. I can identify a bunch of crazy bird . Can’t wait to brag my knowledge back home . Haha

Backyard birds. I am newer to birding, your app has helped me tremendously when trying to identify the various species in my area. Thank you!

Très utile. Vraiment belle app. Facile d'utilisation et pleins d'infos. Good job 👍

Won’t Update - Fixed. The app updates fine now!

Excellente application!. J’utilise depuis quelques années cette application et je l’aime beaucoup. Facile à utiliser et bien détaillée, j’ai beaucoup appris sur les oiseaux! De plus, on nous répond rapidement si besoin de support.

Great app!. Very useful to identify birds by their songs. I am francophone and I love the fact that I can get the names of the birds in French! Would absolutely recommend this app.

There are better. First off, anything that makes folks get out there and appreciate birds more, I am all for it. However, without being able to see the photos submitted this is questionable. For example I am told there is a Mountain Chickadee spotted near me. I am 99.9% certain there was not. If there were, the pro birders would be going out of their minds as it was way out of range. This makes me question the accuracy of any ID. Merlin is the go to app for birders and is free. It does photos, sounds and keeps your lists through eBird which is also free and also contributes to the scientific data pool.

Helpful app. Helps identify birds and provides information. Easy to use

Awesome app. Love this app Use it regularly and now have more knowledge of the birds we have In our yard and feeders Thanks !

Excellent App. Makes identification of previously unseen birds far easier. Intuitive interface and comprehensive coverage. Highly recommended.

Enhancing my forest walks!. Love how I can now explore the local birdlife in my forest walks by easily identifying multiple birds at a time through their song, simple to use app with smart tech!

Excellent app. This app has proven invaluable whether I'm sitting outside at home listening to birds, or i'm in the countryside. I particularly like being able to identify bird song so I not only know what the bird is,I find out what it looks like so I can look around and see if I can spot it. Lots of information, excellent photos, easy to use.I have had several birding apps and this has turned out to be the best. When I had some questions, technical support was back to me within a few hours and was extremely helpful. I was impressed. If you like bird spotting, you can't do better than this app.

Meilleure application pour les oiseaux !!!. J’adore cette application, c’est une application québécoise en plus ☺️ Le service à la clientèle est super rapide, quand nous avons des questions sur les oiseaux.

Love this app!. I’m really enjoying this app - so many features and great write-ups on all the birds!

Amazing app!. Allowed me to identify every bird on my trip through Quebec. I higly recommend!

Fantastic!. I love being able to hear the different calls, see pictures and challenge myself with my knowledge with the quizzes available! I also like being able to see a list of all the birds I have seen!

Easy for new to birding!. Love this app. We paid for the premium to get full features, and it’s worth it! It’s remarkably accurate (and when it’s off … it’s still interesting!). I love that I can walk through a nature preserve or sit in my city backyard and learn what’s around me. If you need help, the developer is SO QUICK to respond.

Great Bird Watching App. This app is a great app. It has many ways to help you identify birds. It’s very helpful if your just starting out or if you’ve been doing it a long time. The built in quizzes can also help your ID skills. It’s fun and easy to use and I really enjoy it.

A Great App. I use this app on my walks and I am learning all about the birds around me. It’s great to be able to identify a bird by a call right when I hear it and to have information about that species instantly. Highly recommended.

Easy to use and informative. This App provides clear, concise, and easily accessible information for those looking for information on birds in their area. Would definitely recommend for those working in education system to use with kids on nature walks! Great App!

Useful and well researched. Easy to use and good information.

Great Customer Service. Love the app! Especially the layout & map of sightings. And, when I had a brief problem with the tech of it all, I was helped promptly with a smile :)

Bird ID lovely way to enjoy retirement!. Wonderful to see and hear the local birds in Timmins; and then to find out who they are

Wow !.

WOW!

Très bonne application. Je recommande!

Enjoy the app. Casual backyard bird viewer - Love the app can find the birds that fly through my property. Information, photos, and sounds are very useful.

Maxed my data plan within 10 seconds of use.. I misclicked the app on my Home Screen, only was on it for 10 seconds and racked up a ton of data usage. My data period just started so this is unacceptable. For reference, this was on the intro screen — I have not interacted with anything within the app yet (closed it after getting my data overage notifications).

Amazing. Great app! Learned about birds in my area…kids listen to the song and identify them.

Help with identifying. I had a little bird fly in, very little luck identifying it! I requested help and Michael was friendly, and ever so helpful!! Great app!! Catharine

Enjoyed. Thoroughly enjoying the App. Very useful

So fun. Love it!

Latest Update. Great app. Love it. Latest update won’t update. Wondering if that’s a glitch with the update?

Super app.

Great app!. I like the app very much, easy to navigate and usually pretty accurate. Thank you so much for all the information you have regarding the identification and songs etc. Highly recommend! Ellen S.

Superbe appli.

Pleasantly surprised. I purchased this app last year but didn’t use it. I’m only just exploring it now. I love it! I bird watch as much as I can right from my front garden. I would record sporadically but with this app I feel I’ll do it much more often.💕

Learning about birds. I’ve always wanted to be able to identify the birds in our backyard using my iPhone. This app allows me to do just that, plus learn about the species and share my find with others. I even took the quiz and found I could identify more birds than I realized. The ads are a bit of a bother but the app is free. Thanks.

Connect with nature. This app is so helpful in learning about birds in your own area. It’s a great app to have when out hiking or watching your backyard birdfeeder.

This app is like the best. It gives me better Bird identifying

Enjoying this bird ID app. I have only used the song ID so far, then will listen to the identified bird’s song under the search option to confirm. Have had some misses, but generally it seems to be because I am not that close to the bird to get an accurate recording. I found the purchase of the all-in-one feature was well worth the price to have the ability to identify the song and also to have it be ad free. My mother-in-law could identify most any bird by it’s song and I always envied that. Now I am learning to identify them myself thanks to this app.

Bird hit my door. I had a bird hit my door and appeared injured. I tried to check on it and it stayed in my palm and became alert but stayed. I took a picture but couldn’t get it identified so I used the email function and got a response within 30 min. Identifying the bird as a young bird. I was then able to look up more information. The bird stayed with me for over 30 min. I’m happy to find out what it was!

Nice app!. So my husband and I are new to bird watching I’d say it’s been about a month. With so many species it can get a bit overwhelming at times. I really like this app especially the samples of bird calls. That’s the hardest part in my opinion is learning to distinguish all the calls so it’s helpful to be able to practice with the app. So far it’s great and I also can see the birds in the area!

Excellent app!. We’re using this app for our homeschool nature studies. The photo ID has helped us to identify crows, hermit thrushes, and mountain jays (among others). Plus, we appreciate seeing a list of nearby birds BEFORE we venture outside... this makes it easier to identify birds that are too far away for our camera phone to capture well. Seeing pictures AND day/time spotted (as well as distance from our house) has been incredibly helpful. Thanks for the useful app!

Awesome app. This app is amazing for new bird watchers! Not only does it help you identify birds, but it helps you learn more about them as well. I am red green color blind, and it is hard for me to identify birds on other apps that ask you questions about the color. With this app you either use the audio recording or pictures you take of the birds to identify them. It also helps you find birds in your area and connect to a great community! Worth the subscription! ❤️

Knowledge truly is power!. I have been a backcountry/general outdoor enthusiast my entire life. Between backpacking, canoeing, and Farmin, I’m lucky enough to spend a majority of my life outdoors. I’ve always wanted to know what birds were around me but wasn’t crazy about carrying a book out with me. Love this app…so easy to use and so informative! It really helps take my appreciation for birds, and all wildlife to a new level. Highly recommended!

A Few Mistakes But Good. When i was trying to see if this app would recognize my lutino cockatiel. That bird is not on the list and i hope you can put it on soon. Another thing is that when it’s picking the bird when using the camera it goes too fast for you to stop it on the closest match. Otherwise this app is quite nice. (And also my cockatiel keeps in getting called a northern cardinal 😂 when i use him on the camera or the microphone)

The Perfect Bird ID app!. I LOVE it! I have several other bird apps - but Smart Bird ID with identification by sound is what I’ve been wishing for, for years! So often I hear a bird but can’t see it and I’m always trying to figure it out. In the past, I would record bird sounds and then try to match them up with local birds on other apps - which can often be laborious and non-productive. This app is the bomb!!!

Easy-to-Use Love it!. This app fits so well into my amateur bird watching routine. If I’m walking my dog and hear an unusual call of a bird I’m able to whip out my phone and within seconds record the bird call and then the app identifies the bird with percentages of probability. Then I’m able to hear the calls of that bird on the app to compare. This is just one of the many useful features of this app. I even splurged and got the paid subscription! Worth the $9.99!

So cool!!!!. I just found out about this app, and I’m already so happy I found it!!! You can record any bird sound and it will identify the bird for you! And there’s a bunch of posts from people near me who have spotted a bunch of owls and all kinds of super cool birds! I had no idea there was that many owls near me. lol why haven’t I ever seen any??! I’m gonna have to go search for them now that I can see they’re not nearly as rare of a find as I thought. I definitely recommend this app! It’s awesome!!!

The Uncommon White Breasted Nuthacth. I had been watching a bird cleaning out a bird house I have mounted on a tree near my feeder but was having a problem matching the photo I took and a bird identifying book that we use. I downloaded this app and it identified the bird for me painlessly! I sent a message to the Facebook page to confirm that our birds nesting in a house was normal and almost immediately I got a response from a very attentive and proud owner of the app & site. Turns out our Nuthatches are uncommon but they do sometimes use bird house! Great app !

Spring is here with the best bird app!. I love this app! I spent a morning on my deck listening to bird songs, identifying others and just had a blast with this app! There are so many options to capture birds, to learn the differences between the juveniles and adults and getting a ‘sticker’ for submitting them. Am I huge geek? Absolutely! If you are new to birding or a pro, you will enjoy this either way!

So easy and so fun!. This app is so easy to navigate and I use it almost daily for the birds in my backyard. I’ve used the “sounds” part to talk to the cardinals in my yard and it brings me so much joy! There was a bird that I had a hard time identifying but I used the “ask our experts” section and got a quick response and now know every type of bird coming to my feeders. Would recommend for any amateur birder!

Great App For Bird Watchers!. I am just starting to use the app, and love all the features it offers! Other bird apps don’t have a lot of the features, including recording a bird’s song. I think you have to get real close to a bird to get the app to correctly identify the bird, because thus far, it has not been able to identify the bird correctly (I listen to the app’s recorded songs to see if that’s what I’m actually hearing, to compare to the app’s identification). I will keep trying! I live in a densely wooded area, and many times, I am not able to actually see and get near the bird I’m trying to record.

I love this app. This app is awesome. I am learning about so many new birds that I have never seen before in NH. It’s very educational. Since it is hard for me to get my camera ready to take pictures of the birds I see, I just love the part where I can record them and find out what kind of birds they are just by the sounds they make. Thank you for making this app. I will definitely pass it along to my friends

Great App but..... Timing is everything with trying to capture a bird song. I used to be able to grab my phone, swipe the app open, and select “Song ID” for a quick - and usually accurate - identification. However, recently, the app asks you to “Support Smart Bird ID” and you have a choice to watch a 30-45 second ad, or to visit the store. So, I watched the ad, and also watched the bird fly away. No worries, I thought. Just a bit of an inconvenience this time. Nope, it happens every time you use the app. I mean look, just tell the user the app is not free anymore and discontinue that version.

Amazing app! Two suggestions.. This app is great for identifying birds and is great for me to identify them from song! But there is two things I dislike. 1, that ads are way too frequent. As soon as the ad ends, the bird flies away. It’s very annoying and I think that you should change the time of a ad every 5-10 mins so we can actually birdwatch. I also dislike that the pro is in only subscription form. I would definitely pay at least $10 to buy pro forever.

Fantastic!!!. The Smart Bird ID app is fantastic! Easy to navigate & highly informative. Love that one is able to identify birds in so many different ways (by song, visually, by region, etc) We are full time RVers and Smart Bird ID has added a whole new dimension to the adventure ~ not to mention all we are learning (and able to share)about birds! I recommend this app to anyone who is curious, loves nature, and enjoys our fabulous flying friends.

Better able to appreciate the natural world. My home faces a wooded area teeming with birds. Being able to identify them visually and by their songs helps me better appreciate the beautiful are I live in. This app has been so helpful! It’s designed really well - easy to use and to look at (large photos). And, having recordings of multiple types of calls for each type of bird is fantastic! To access all the calls, an in app purchase is needed, but it’s well worth it. Glad I found this app and made the upgrade!

A really good app for anyone interested in birds.. Very detailed information on each bird species including sounds, photos and in depth descriptions. Includes sound ID, photo ID and quizzes categorized in degrees of difficulty etc. Easy to navigate and understand and provides an option to create your own personal life list. However it looks like it also requires a subscription for you to get extra features but most of the apps features can be used without the subscription.

I’m learning so much!. I am relatively new to birdwatching, and what got me interested was hearing their songs and their calls. I live on the water in North West Alabama, so when I walk outside, I like to know who’s outside with me. This app has been so helpful with identifying the birds by sound and sight! Very happy with this app! I highly recommend it for those who are curious like me. So many beautiful birds, there’s so much to learn about them. Thank you for making this available.

Best Bird App!. I started using this app after the whole covid shutdown last spring. While out gardening, I was more in tune with the birds chirping and singing than ever before! Funny how when there’s no airline or street traffic, you suddenly notice nature! Plus you can see what others nearby are identifying as well! Well, thus app is the best and today I heard a new chirp, didn’t recognize the song, and sent pics to the app and had an ID within hours!!!

Great app for new and/or experienced birders. I just got into bird photography and bought my first camera. I’m starting in my own backyard and this app is literally perfect. I’m able to learn about the different type of birds I have in my region which is super helpful. You can also identify a bird you you’ve never seen with this app too via bird call, photo or question. Super helpful app.

Love love love. I am completely new to identifying and watching birds but I’ve been completely sucked in this year, and this app has made it so enjoyable for me. The sound id is a feature that I haven’t been able to find anywhere else. It’s so useful! This app also has more features and information than many others like it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone interested in learning more about birds.

0 of 7 identified. I’ve attempted to identify several birds mostly by song. Each song identified as a chickadee. A blue heron sounds nothing like a chickadee, neither does a Sandhill crane. I checked everything to make sure I was doing it correctly and everything was still coming up as a chickadee. I was really attempting to identify a bird I heard squawking out on the lake at night. In all the years I’ve lived here I’ve never heard it before. And what did it identify this squawking bird as??? A chickadee. A flipping chickadee! Ok, so I tried again and again and again. I stood outside recording until I was almost frozen solid. It never gave anything other than a chickadee. Wonderful.

Quick Response. I am new to the app and was trying out the ID feature, it didn’t identify. I checked the Help button and saw you could send your photo in for personal review and identification if the software couldn’t identify. I used this feature and had a response within hours! I was impressed with the speed of the response and follow up! I am looking forward to utilizing all the features of this app!

Smart!. I’m only a sporadic bird watcher, so I often need help identifying species or songs that aren’t within my usual repertoire. This app does the trick. I’ve used it to help identify the type of bird I’m looking at — or hearing— and even to settle disputes with my husband! And when a recent bird photo wasn’t good enough for an ID, I sent the grainy shot to a link on the app and received a prompt — and accurate— response from the developer.

I ❤️birds? This is a great app!. We moved to a new home in an unfamiliar area for us. Right away we were seeing all kinds of wildlife but most of the birds were not familiar to us. This app is absolutely wonderful in letting you know what the bird is and also letting you know about others in the area. Totally recommend you get this app today and start enjoying the birds around you!

Fun, easy, and educational. I’m not really a huge bird person, but when I thought one was injured in my field I had to do some research and come to find out it was only pretending to be injuries to lure me away from his nest! Wow, I never knew that was a thing and kudos for the little guy and his bravery and acting skills! And kudos for this app for recognizing what time of bird this was with only a semi clear pic and a sound clip! How cool! Now I play with it all the time and have really started noticing all the beautiful birds around my area!

Birds. I love watching and feeding my birds. I’m currently putting oranges out for the orioles. Home made nectar for the hummingbirds. And sunflower seeds for all the rest. I find it very relaxing watching the birds. Since covid happened it’s been nice to be able to watch them more often than before. This guide will come in handy . I won’t have to carry my book around so much . Im so happy I could get this on my phone. I just love this app!!!

Family Friendly and Fun. This is a great app for the whole family. My kids and I enjoy watching the birds come and go from our yard. Now we can easily identify them and their songs! The app is easy to use and a great tool to have on hikes and day trips. I plan to use it as part of my son’s summer science and art curriculum, too, as it contains pictures, sounds, locations/habitats and other information about each kind of bird.

Bird learning. I am not a bird watcher however I moved to Merritt Island FL on a canal a year ago and we have been getting and hearing all kinds of different birds. I was interested to see what they were and this app has helped me to identify and learn about them all. I have really enjoyed using the app it is very user friendly and it has helped educate me on many different birds in my area. I recommend this app to anyone looking to identify and learn more about birds.

A must have for birding fans everywhere!. If you’re looking for a great app to help out, identifying birds from picture from song, they look no further than this little gem. I’m not an avid birder but I do from time to time become infatuated with an unidentifiable song and this app does a fantastic job of helping to identify the coy fine feathered friends and it can do so from a far. Great App Michael!!!

Cannot correctly ID bird calls. I was excited to try this app today to identify birds in the forest. I have Merlin ID, which works well, but it takes too long to find bird calls on the fly (pardon the pun). Once the leaves are out, it is too difficult to ID by sight. I know a fair number of calls and quickly realized that the app could not identify any of them. Pretty much everything came back as a morning dove. Decided to experiment and played known calls from my Merlin app and recorded them here. It got the mourning dove right, but ID’d the northern rough winged swallow as a carolina wren, the yellow billed cuckoo as a pigeon or hermit thrush and a pileated woodpecker as a blue jay. So pretty much useless for call ID. I like the quiz feature though, and will keep it for that.

Love this App!. The pandemic brought me into my garden and on longer walks than I had prepandemic. I was becoming more and more aware of the variety of birds and their songs. I thought “I wish you had an App that would help me identify them!” I searched and downloaded this App. What a pure joy it has been to learn about the different varieties and their songs. I surprised my friends the other day. I recognized the song of a Baltimore oriole. Second later; an oriole flew in front of us! They were impressed!

Now I Know!. We’ve been hearing a bird in our crabapple tree but we couldn’t see it! I used the Merlin I.D. App and found out it was one of my favorites, an American Goldfinch! I’m having fun sitting out on our deck and identifying the birds I hear! I’ve been a birder for years but never really knew the calls of so many birds. I recommend this app if you’re interested in finding out who is singing in your trees!

Great birding app. Awesome app for beginner and advanced birders alike. It’s like a Shazam for bird songs, and it does photo recognition too. It even takes your location and time of year into account to suggest which bird you’re probably hearing/seeing. For those who want to keep track, it has a list of the birds you have recorded (lifetime and year to date). One of my favorite parts is the Bird-a-Day widget. You get a picture of a new bird delivered to your Home Screen every day, and it’s delightful. Try it!

BUMMED! Requires up-to-date IOS for iPhone.. It would be a great service to potential buyers if the app description said which OS the app is compatible with! This app looked so promising for someone just getting into birding. The feature I was excited about was song ID. So I purchased and started it up to catch the song of a bird obscured by vegetation in my yard. Only then did I find out that this feature would require me to upgrade to IOS 13. I have n older phone nd past experience has taught me not to upgrade past a certain point or my phone would bog down and misbehave. Is there a refund policy?

Impressive. This is my go to app to figure out my backyard birds. Yesterday I came across one that was not in any of my Georgia bird books. I found it on the Internet, but it seemed unlikely to be the right bird because it’s not native to Georgia. So I clicked the help button and was able to send a photo via the app and within a few hours. I had confirmation of an unusual bird for our area. Amazing service. So much fun!

Great resource for homeschooling and nature walks!. We are a homeschooling family that LOVES birds! Smart Bird ID has been a great resource for us when out on Nature Walks and just hanging out in the backyard. The images are clear, the recordings are accurate to help with identifying birds. My daughters love getting the app out and recording birds around us and matching their ID’s. What a wonderful app that helps us connect and learn more about our neighboring birds. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Thank you!!

This app is fun and informative!. I’ve been using this app to identify birds in my backyard. It’s really cool to identify who’s chirping by recording their sound. I wish I had more time to sit quietly and listen because the birds are plentiful and I see and hear so many different kinds. It’s fun to guess what they are, look them up, and see if I’m right. I share this app with my family and friends so they can learn to enjoy birding, too! I highly recommend!

Shlstone1. I love this app!I wanted to start doing some birdwatching and had received a book as a gift which was nice. However, this app couldn’t make things any easier! I really like the different options you can use to identify bird by sound or photo ID. Just a super fun app to use! If it wasn’t for this app I’m afraid I would’ve lost interest by now! Thanks for all your hard work putting this together and continued work it must take to maintain this app!

This app is sweeeeeet. I’ve been using this app for the last 6 months and I love it so much. The results for the pics I upload are very accurate and I just tested out the sound recorder the other day to see how well it worked and it identified the Grey Catbird like it was nothing. I highly recommend this bird identification app. I’ve used a lot of other apps but the simplicity and accuracy of this one is worth it! It makes birding even more fun than it already is!

Simple and Easy way to Learn. This is the app I’ve been looking for. I can track all the birds in my backyard, on my walks, at my window. Easy to use and it’s easy to find what you are looking for. I was able to identify a bird I did not know just by the bird call. This really has opened my eyes and ears to new birds. And I like being able to keep track of my birds by adding my own pictures to my personal list. Love love love this app.

Great resource, especially when traveling!. Though I can easily identify all the common birds where I live, I have found this app indispensable when I travel. It has helped me learn so much about native birds away from home, and I’ve loved accumulating a list of what I’ve seen—and even cooler, the song ID feature helps me figure out what is around even if I can’t see it. Strongly recommend!

Glad there’s a free trial…. The app seems nicely designed and has all the features I wanted, but when I identified a bird by photo, added it to my list, then tried to make a note about it, the app crashes. So I tried again, this time identifying the bird by its call. This was interesting because the photo had a low confidence rating, but the bird call recording was > 80%. Again, I added the bird to my list, and again tried to add a note—and again it crashed. It’s one of the shortest free app trials I’ve had. Read the dev’s release notes and make sure the app is fixed before buying.

Ok but not great. Of the many birds in my yard, this app was only able to correctly identify two of them. I tried the camera rout but birds being birds, they didn’t sit still long enough to get great identification. I tried taking photos of the birds and using that rout next. Only the clearest, close up got a very close correct id. There is another app out there that is free and no ads that is considerably better at identifying all kinds of organisms. They don’t have the quizzes or the song id things though. I’m not a big fan of watching ads and not a fan of having to pay but I understand the need for that stuff.

Love this app!. I absolutely love this app. It has opened my eyes to the birds all around me in my backyard. It is informative, easy to use, and extremely accurate. I have learned so much about the birds in my backyard. I get so excited to use the app to identify a new bird each time I see or hear a new one. This app is a true joy to have, and it makes it so much fun to share the love of bird watching with friends and family!
