Not great. Won’t even block sites? I followers direction enabling the extension in setting and everything. Not worth $5

Only works for Safari. I do most of my browsing with chrome so this is completely useless

Liberate App Works - Should be advertised more widely. This works great and is worth the price. It does not slow down your iPhone operations either like many other website blockers and only blocks the websites you want instead of blocking random sites too. My only question is why isn't this app promoted more. So many people are looking for something like this. Please, Mr. Carney, do seriously consider advertising this wonderful app more places, especially for iPhone users.

Doesn’t block Chrome. Easily disabled in Safari. I don’t know why I thought a paid app with good reviews suddenly would work. Doesn’t block chrome app. You have to “enable” this apps extension in safari which is very easy to disable. You also have to set a designated time for blocking, needs an on/off for what you’re blocking

Brutally Effective. So, I recently started trying to limit time in my phone. And after trying several different methods of time management apps this is the one that worked. I just set the timer for 30 days on all of my social media and haven’t looked back. The app does a great job of helping stop me from just opening things in my browser in a mindless state. If you’re looking for an app to keep you off your phone, this is the one I’d recommend.

Simple, Fast and Effective. It took about a minute to block access to three websites for the desired duration, and you can’t undo it. Perfect.

Great App. This is a great app, just what I needed. However could I request an additional feature to just fully block website without a set end date and a toggle on and off as well. The date thing can be kept as an option if that was the original intention, but also just a total website blocker that blocks indefinitely until it is toggled off as well would be awesome, many thanks though, still a great app, very useful, thank you.

Not working!. Paid $5 for this app and it suddenly stopped working

Set a date, app stopped completely?. If I don’t set a date it works, if I do it crashes. Also not very intuitive, made a mistake on a couple and you have to turn it off and delete, should just be able to make a correction and it keep running. All kinds of diagnostic errors too…

Disappointing. You can unblock websites in any minute through the app just by clicking “unblock website” What’s the point....!

Not working anymore. The app used to work on my iPhone flawlessly but isn’t blocking websites anymore.

Exactly what I needed. Been going on many toxic or addicting websites like reddit for years and also reading the news too much. It’s just bad for my mental wellbeing and I’ve never had any positive come out of it. This app is a blessing.

Missing one feature that would make it even better. So it does what it says it does, pretty well, too. It would be great if there was some sort of password or title page (or whatever). Nope. Open the app and BAM there’s all the sites that are blocked…hopefully prying eyes don’t see it if for some strange reason.

Doesn’t work in Brave browser. I only use Brave browser for privacy. This app on seems to work for Safari.

Best content blocking app I’ve found yet.. It is truly an App Store gem. Does exactly what it says on the tin. No funny business or anything I’d be willing to donate if the option presents itself in the future, because this app is so straightforward. It can be used as a form of parental control, given that app deletion is blocked so the app can’t be deleted for any reason. (Just a random side note, but anyways...) For those looking for a way to make this so it’s unable to be bypassed or deleted, try using the restrictions feature with a passcode instead. An app can only do so much. Thanks!

It'd be nice if it had ability to have layers. Like disable layer 1 until x,y,z time But disable layer 2 at another time. Basically multiple groups of filters so i can disable one set of filters but keep another active.

Don’t buy. Doesn’t work at all, doesn’t block websites. I followed the instructions exactly.

Very limited options. Not enough flexibility. Set one date to block apps until and then blocks any website added until that day. Wish there was an option to block different website for different amounts of time.

Good app. Does what it was designed to do. Good.

Works well but easy bypass. Works well but all you have to do is go to settings and turn off content blocker. Just gives and extra minor step. It’s cool that the timer cannot be changed once out on but the bypass defeats the purpose. App is too expensive for such an easy bypass.

Hard to stop blocking. Its fine for blocking but if you need access to a site that is blocked its a pain to unblock.

This is it. I’m done with p**n and this app with the help of our Lord will get me through it and I suggest you do the same

Too easy to bypass. I was hoping for something that wouldn’t allow me to turn off blocking during study hours. Lame.

Used to work - No longer does!. This app used to work perfectly for me. I knew that I could easily disable it by going into settings, which wasn't great, but that's no fault of the app. Now, it does nothing! Sites simply aren't blocked! I have it ENABLED in settings. Something must have glitched out, because I am able to go to all of my blocked websites, and no amount of deleting/reinstalling, rebooting, or disabling/reenabling has fixed it.

Didn’t work for me. I added websites on the app but easily went to them in my browser. Wish I could get a refund!

Amazing. To be honest, I am still in credulous that this app is for free. I think the biggest benefit to it as one, that it doesn’t have any ads to, it allows you to blocks site time does fly by doesn’t allow you to easily stop the timer. And finally three it is such a clean and cool in her face that he allows me really to focus on what I need to get amateurs schoolwork and not reddit. Shirley they’re not a ton of apps that provide all this functionality for the price of freedom in fact there is not apps that you can pay for that provide the same level of function. I would highly highly highly recommend this app

Doesn’t work. This app doesn’t work on iPhone 12x, iOS 16.

Not sure what to do. I just purchased the app but I did not expect that I would not be able to turn permissions on since it is greyed out on my phone. Can I get refunded?

Only blocks in Safari??. This is a pointless app. It only blocks in Safari. Who even uses Safari anymore? It should be blocking access to the websites through any app or browser.

This app is amazing!!!. I have a bad habit of wasting time on reddit when I should be studying. This app is exactly what I was looking for. (I have leechblock for Firefox on my laptop but I was still able to get around it by using my phone.) I was looking for something similar for iPhone when I came across Liberate. This app is really easy to use and I’m glad it can’t be disabled until after the time period has passed!! I’m definitely recommending it to other people!! Incredibly useful for procrastinators

EASY BYPASS. The first instruction that this app gives you in order to enable it is to go to safari-> settings-> enable content blockers. You can literally disable this at any time! So essentially the first thing the developers do is tell you how to disable the app. VERY DISPLEASED that I just paid $4.99 for this nonsense.

No app blocking. Great app. Would be even greater if it blocks apps too.

Great app! Just one request. The only reason I rated this 3 stars instead of 5 is I wish I could make groups of blocked websites, like I can set twitter to be blocked for 3 hours and YouTube to be blocked for a full day. Other wise great app

This app has potential. After searching a couple of websites for 1 minute, you look a safari data and there are at least 50 websites tracking you. To spend the time to put everyone of those in this app would take entirely to much time. If the safari data would load directly into the app, it would be worth the $5 you have to pay for this app.

Must have. The best app. Being able to block distracting websites has improved my quality of life and ability to focus.

Great product but needs update. I’ve used this app for several months to block distracting websites and found it to be very user-friendly, effective and bug-free… until now. Unfortunately the app is no longer blocking websites even after I enabled it in safari settings. I still give it five stars as a temporary issue (I hope) doesn’t negate nearly a year of perfection.

Didn’t work. I entered a site I frequently visit, which ends in “.net”. I followed all the instructions but I could still go to that site. Never worked. Waste of $5. Wish I could have a refund.

Doesn’t Block Apps. This app is okay if you only use safari. However, if you use apps such as Facebook etc, it won’t block those.

Does the basics, could use a few more features to make it truly outstanding. I am basically satisfied with this app. It does the core things it advertises well enough from what I have seen. The fact that the blocking timelock is non-reversible until the timer ends is something I really appreciate, as is the fact that I can add more websites if they become an issue while the timer is going, and also can extend the timer further if needed. Thanks for making a simple and effective app that helps me to manage my time better. However, for the price, I feel it would also be far more attractive (and likely warrant a 5-star rating) with the following features; - iCloud syncing of your website deny lists and app settings across all iOS devices - iCloud triggering of the deny list across all iOS devices with Liberate installed, rather than having to trigger each device separately - ability to set automation of the timer; e.g. have the deny list activate for 4 hours at 9am on weekdays (NOTE: I would REALLY like this implemented via the iOS Shortcuts automation api, this can be done with some software hooks and doesn’t require heavy rebuilding of the app interface ui, plus this allows integration with Siri) - ability to use allow lists instead of deny lists (“I want to be able to access ONLY these sites for the next 2 hours) Bonus features that would be great but are less important to me as a user: - ability to save/load/choose from multiple deny lists across devices (i.e. weekend deny list vs. weekday deny list, iphone deny list vs. ipad deny list) - Apple Watch app that lets me trigger Liberate on my other iOS devices - possibly the ability to deny different lists on different timers (rather than one list on one timer only) (although by contrast I do appreciate the simplicity of management that a single list and timer provides)

Am I missing something?. Are you able to have separate block times for each website? And it seems incredibly simple to just “edit” the end date. If I have a moment of weakness I can just edit the end date until tomorrow?

Not worth the price. Does everything as advertised but that’s it. It’s a screen with a list and you can add sites and that’s it. I feel like this app could be written with 100 lines of code or less.
