💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

Oops we’re experiencing an issue. Ok - so twice now I’ve tried to order online to pickup at the window ( even changed it to go inside to pickup) only got the app to tell me - oops, we’re experiencing an issue, please try again later. There was even an update between the two attempts. So what was the update for? What we’re you fixing? It sure as heck wasn’t the oops problem. You’ve still got a problem. I tried paying with Tim card money and my saved debit card. No luck!! What the heck.

Couple things that need fixing. #1 - On more than 5 occasions, the app switched my order location after I submitted it. The first time, I thought maybe I made a mistake. But then it happened again. It will work correctly for awhile, and then again, switch my location. The employees say they cannot fill my order because it was sent to a different location, and that I need to contact customer service. Only 1 time has CS responded to me, and they gave me the equivalent in rewards points. No refund. #2 - Because of the app glitching and changing locations after you submit the order, there should be a grace period to cancel your order through the app. #3 - Customization! For example, when I order a breakfast wrap in person, they ask if I want the chipotle sauce. When I order online, it doesn’t give me the option. Seems as though the sauce is standard on the wrap, yet for some reason they ask in person, and thru the app, they make it without.

Do not use this app. You have to load money onto the app, you can’t just pay for your order in exact amount when you make it. So they are always holding up to $5 of every app user. You can’t add a password to your account. You need to verify with email every time you log in. The stores promote offers that they don’t offer on the app When they run out of a menu item, which is very frequently, the store can’t refund you, you must contact app support, for which there is no phone number. Just an email address and they don’t respond. I believe this apps 4.5 star raiting is a result of bots. READ THE REVIEWS most people that give it 5 stars are rating the restaurant, not the app

Inconsistent. Very inconsistent. Options change all the time. Sometimes I have buttons available to pick my frequently ordered items on top, others, it’s not there. I have a favorite location listed, sometimes it will default to that location, other times it will not. I activated a special bogo offer and it never took the discount off. And the since the newest update, when I go to complete the order I get a message saying “bummer” something happened, making me think the order didn’t go through, but I get an email saying my charge/order were processed. I would expect better from a chain this size.

Updated App is a Joke. I have used this app for years with absolutely zero problems. Whoever designed and approved this new UI is completely out of their mind. The layout is seemingly random and has no structure. It takes a solid 5 seconds for the app to respond after tapping any menus or attempting to add an item to your cart. Please bring back the old design. Apart from this, I have not been able to place either a delivery or pick up order for over 2 weeks. I just receive an “Uh oh! We encountered an error creating your order. Please try again” message, and have to wait several days for the pending charges to drop off my card statement. I’ve tried clearing the cache, reinstalling the app, paying via Apple Pay, paying directly with my credit card, paying with my Tim’s card balance - nothing works.

Old app was fine. New redesign (around February of 2023) is trash.. The new app redesign is absolute trash. The user interface looks like it was designed by Stevie Wonder, and given no consideration to user inputs, much less adequate testing before rollout. Example: I put in my order today, hit “change location” and changed it to the location I was currently sitting in the drive thru line of. Got to the speaker, asked for my order, and they didn’t have any record of it. Looked at my app, and it automatically changed my location BACK to the previous store I visited yesterday. So instead of getting my coffee at the location that I went out of my way to specify, I had to waste time and effort driving halfway across town to pick it up at the wrong location.

App doesn’t reliably work. I order breakfast 5-7 days a week and about 2-4 times a week the app just sits there with the little red lights like being clocked - it doesn’t work. I then lose out on the rewards points. This is sooo annoying as I do everything to get it to come up while waiting in the drive thru line and more often than not I also miss out on the special offers. I’ve missed out on the promotional pricing for Christmas twice this week due to it. I’ve even been at the drive-thru with the app working and it suddenly restarts the app and it sits there not loading. The app needs to be more reliable

Cart wiped multiple times. Wow. Downloading this app for the first time today - the onboarding is a painful experience. You have to sit through tons of pop ups and my cart got wiped multiple times. There’s an offer for the delivery fee being waived and you add your money onto the card? Well that 15$ is not enough despite the fact the cart is below 15$ because you need to have the money for the delivery fee in there even if it’s being waived after and it shows a higher amount. Contact support? Wiped my cart again and asks if I want to get delivery or pickup. Want to order an item? Too bad, you probably can’t see the item available and you’ll just see a white screen for some of them. Please stop being lazy with this coding!

Ease of life. -performance is all over the place some days it will work perfectly fine and others the app will not even open up. - The scan to pay rarely ever pops up to use and I would like a way to manually bring it up other then the bottom -Quality of life improvements like customization are getting better but need more features and amounts to the flavor amounts that only go up to 3. -Side notes are that putting calories counts on the drink you are ordering would make some people happy and letting them know that the sizes of your drink changes how many sweet flavor shots come in the drink to begin with.( a large comes with three pumps of ___ so two shots would be six pumps of it.)

New containers for donuts with frosting on them. When purchasing donuts that have topping or frosting on them by the time you get home or where you are taking them all the frosting is off the donut and sticking to the bag!! My grandkids get so mad that they don’t want the donut anymore, even trying to scrape it off the bag it looks messy!! So I wish and (many other people I have spoken to have the same issue) they could come up with a better way to serve the donuts or a different container to place them in!! Maybe like how they serve the egg bites or the sandwiches, I hate wasting my money so now I won’t even buy them anymore!!

False Advertisement. I really enjoy ordering ahead through the app. However, the app shows items on the menu that are no longer served at the restaurants. I’ve had to get a refund several times for items that I was able to add to my cart, that they no longer carry. With so many opportunities to do updates for bug fixes and what not, it seems like this should be on their radar as it’s almost like false advertisement. You’re paying for a product that’s not available, and then you have to jump through hoops to receive a refund. I don’t frequent multiple establishments. I have 2 stores as my go-to locations. Maybe other stores have oatmeal, but my favorite stores do not… BUT I can order it on the app

App worked until 2/26 upgrade. I’m being generous with 1 star. The app worked fine initially, then after the recent “upgrade” has been a complete fail. You cannot login. The app asks for your email then says it will email you a link, I guess to confirm it’s you. When you click the link to connect to the app, it just spins and spins. You have an option to connect via the website, but that presents a new problem. If you are a US user, the website defaults to CN, so you get a message that you are not in your region. If you try to change your region, you get routed back to the original sign-in and the endless loop continues with a new emailed link. So frustrating. Love Tim’s coffee, but this rewards program is not worth the aggravation.

Can’t login. After opening the app to check my balance, I was prompted to login. I entered my email and when I attempted to enter my password a message appeared and stated that I would be sent a link to my email. I’ve been waiting 2 months. I called the helpline and of course I couldn’t understand the rep. After 3 more calls I was able to explain the issue. They stated I would be contacted by the IT department. A month later still no contact and still not able to login. JUNK. Still waiting a week after this review. JUNK. I received an email from the developer and tried to chat but like the app, it didn’t work! Ok, it finally works. Good job. I’m going to use it for a while before I give you 5 stars.

Incomplete. This app does not offer everything Tim Hortons offers. They show a breakfast sandwich as their icon but when you click on it that sandwich is not one of the options. You can’t order the multipacks of TimBits. The Map doesn’t always find me a location unless I am super close to a Tim Hortons. I can’t pre-order based on the time I want to pick it up like every other fast food or restaurant app that is out there. I really enjoy Tim Hortons food, but with being forced to go through the drive through to pick up my order (rather than be delivered to my car like McDonalds or Chick-fil-a) I have passed on Tim Hortons more because it just takes way too long and I have to order in person to get what I want. This app could really take some pointers from Chick-fil-a and Chipotle and Dunkin Donuts.

Great app, few bugs!. We love this app. We travel a lot so it makes finding a local Tim Hortons to order from SUPER easy. Love that you can use your Tim’s Card. Wish it gave you the option to add your Tim’s Card to your virtual wallet. Have had a little trouble with the “buy 3, get 1 free”. The first time we tried to use it, it wouldn’t load the “order” page and give me a total. I tried and tried - by itself, with another tea, tried restarting my phone, etc. Finally, the Timmy’s we were at just gave us a free coffee anyway and we sat down. It’s worked since then though, don’t know what the problem was then.

Great, but could use improvement.. App is great and easy to use. 1 or 2 options that would make it great. 1. I wish that if you pay on your tim card, that it would automatically register the points…instead of scanning the phone for rewards, and then scanning again to pay. 2. The smoothie king app does, but I have yet to see another app do it. If they did it, I would have no complaints. You should be able to link your credit card and rewards barcode. Therefore when you scan the rewards barcode, not only does it register your points, but also pays AND takes the money out from your linked card. That way you don’t have to always reload your Tim card.

Good Concept, Poor Execution. I love Tim Hortons and I have been a steady customer for years. With the new launch of their rewards program, I decided to give the app a try. All in all, the only thing I’ve found the app useful for is tracking my rewards card progress. The few times I’ve actually tried ordering ahead on the app, I get to the drive thru and the workers either don’t have my order ready or are completely unprepared for my order and ask me to come inside the store. Furthermore, when I go to order an iced coffee the only flavor customizations I can choose from are hazelnut, and mocha. You would think there would be a drop down menu of all of the different flavors you can choose from, but unfortunately this isn’t the case. Overall, the app did not live up to my expectations.

It’s okay. At first, I had the hardest time getting my physical card points transferred to the app. The employees at the stores couldn’t help and the customer service number in Canada tried to help but the bottom line is the points never transferred (3 years worth). I thought I would start fresh and open a new account. I went to the stores 3 times and my points didn’t take. Not to mention the app thought I was in Canada and caused another problem. So, I decided to try another time to open up a fresh account using a different email. My first visit to a store and purchase did not give me credit (points) for that visit but I did get points for my next 2 visits. I have been a regular customer of Timmy’s since they started opening stores in my area about 25 years ago. Prior to that I had to get my Timmy’s coffee when I visited Windsor, Ontario or Toronto. They have fantastic products and I’m glad there are many stores in my area.

rewards do not work. My last three visits in the past two weeks I have not been able to receive any rewards for my purchases. The store is even confirming that when they scan my card, it doesn’t appear to work. This is happening at multiple stores. It’s really hard to participate in a rewards program or the contests, when the scan and go feature doesn’t work at all. when I try to submit a ticket in the end app support, I get a error that the service is not available.

Coupons never work. The app is honestly pointless. The coupons are only good for mobile ordering, but even when you place a mobile order the discounts are not reflected in your cart nor after payment is completed. I have had to email customer service every time, and they keep giving me rewards points rather than my actual refund. Most recently I made a mobile order in order to use a coupon for a free donut but the store was out of stock of all of the donuts I ordered. There is nowhere in the app to cancel an order so now I have to wait for customer service again. Also they seem to have removed the option to pay directly with a debit/credit card and now you have to load funds onto their Tim card which is a complete money grab and waste of time as well as being inconvenient.

Poor Refund/Cancel Policy. When everything works, it works great. But when it fails, it fails hard that it makes it very difficult to recommend using the app for anyone. On no less than 5 occasions, at several different locations, I have experienced issues with order pickups. I place the order on my phone, the cash is withdrawn from my account, and one of two things happen: 1 - The location is out of the item I have ordered, and they offer a different item instead of the one I requested. 2 - The location is not open, despite the app stating that it was in fact open. Why are these things issues? Because there is no serviceable refund/cancellation policy in place. If I spend $20 on ice Capps, and their machine is down when I arrive, they will not refund me my money. Instead the offer other products to make up for it, despite me wanting something else. If I want a refund, I have to call customer support, and they will open a case to investigate. I have done this twice, and have not seen a refund ever deposited. It is an extremely poor experience for when the store is unable to provide services requested, despite already taking my money. Give me the option to cancel or refund my order when things go wrong, and I will happily rereview. Until then, I can’t I’m good conscience recommend the app, and instead opt that users go in store instead.

Ordering from the Aop. I would think after having the App in place for years that the least you can do is get it right ! Your App leaves a lot to be desired. It is still after all these years difficult for your employees to help customers because they do not get proper training ! I have been over charged numerous times because of the App and not been able to get it fixed ! You offer your donuts on special often times to get half a dozen for less then four dollars and to this day I have never been able to choose the donuts! If I choose the donuts it always comes up full price ! Go to the location they are sorry they can’t help ! Please perfect your App and train your employees !!!!!

confused. app is fine, ordering is fine and I got my points, the only problem I’m having with it is it claims my order went thru when the location I sent it to didn’t receive it. they honored my order anyways and their shift lead was very lovely and helpful, but now I can’t order thru the app again bc I can’t trust they’ll receive my order and my points are essentially rendered useless. I hope this gets corrected in the future bc the last thing I want to be is an inconvenience for the staff. I gave it three stars for ease of use of the app but the two will remain off until they fix this. addendum: when I search my location up on the app it says it can’t find it. I’ve had to manually type it in and favorite it but this location has been here for at least five/six years, this shouldn’t be an issue anymore :(

App looks nice, lacks options. All the menus and everything are laid out nicely but the doesn’t mean jack when the only sandwich I enjoy isn’t available to order through the app for no discernible reason. You can get a bacon egg and cheese on any bread except a croissant, it just doesn’t even show up. The coffee ordering screen is odd too. It gives you the option of black or classic which is 1 sugar and 1 cream but then if you manually change the cream or sugar amounts it switches to “custom” which wasn’t an option before it makes no sense. Also who adds half a sugar or cream? The only time I use and would recommend using this all is to take advantage of sales and deals. THATS IT

New user of the app. I HOPE THE APP DESIGNER READS THIS BECAUSE I WANT TO HELP MAKE IT BETTER. I just got the app and the card and I didn’t see the card until after I had purchased my coffee and I’ve got a ton of receipts from other Tim Horton orders. I just think it’d be helpful for the app to be able to scan or add a receipt to the list. Maybe limit it to a week from purchase date. But at least capable of adding orders. Half the time I forget I have rewards cards to places and usually they can still add the purchase to the card so I get rewards. It'd be nice if yours could do the same. I think the app would me more useful if there were exclusive benefits to the app like off menu items only told to app holders

Not bad.... Update: as this is my first use I feel like I should point out that I got to the drive thru and said “I placed an app order under the name ...” and got a “ohhhhh..... just pull up.... the app is really problematic....” so as I wait in line we shall see if I get my order or not I Will admit this is my first use of the new app, as I had given up on the old app and didn’t realize there was a new version. Ordering was fairly easy, though there aren’t great descriptions of what the food items are. Mixed berry oatmeal... is it just plain oatmeal with berries on it? There also doesn’t seem to be a way to customize and say add sweetener or anything to something like oatmeal. I like having an app so I can browse the menu before arriving but so far this one doesn’t seem to offer much benefit to using it Versus ordering in store. Also, why no perks for app ordering etc like there are from some of your big competitors in the coffee/breakfast market

TERRIBLY UNFRIENDLY!!. I hardly ever put a review but this merits a terrible review. The app is “cludgy”and I have lost rewards both times through the workers taking rewards from an app that I’m supposed to be able to store my rewards on so obviously they think it’s bad too because they can’t figure it out. It’s not user-friendly, it’s disjointed to say the least. Starbucks has it down pat where the rewards and Starbucks card is tied together with the app. Not this one! everything is a two or three step process. If the employee forgets anything or does it wrong, the customer is the loser not the company. Tim Hortons comes across as cheap unprofessional merchant. To solidify this. Try and contact them! Good luck. Try to send any feedback and you can’t see beyond a few characters what you’ve written. And if you go to amend or look at the text in the FB it closes the chat. Terrible terrible app. Tim Hortons wake up and smell the coffee!!!!

Horrible App. I rarely leave an app review, but this app is awful. For items I actually order daily, I have to go into the store because the app doesn’t have ANY options. For example, I order a latte, but the app has only one size (and doesn’t tell you what size that is). There are no options for large or medium. There is a drop down box to change the milk, but only one option on the list. It says you can order and redeem rewards points from the app, but when I order coffee or other items it doesn’t offer me the option to redeem my built up rewards. Also, when you order form the app, it sometimes doesn’t count the order toward a reward. I ordered an item on the app and then ordered an item in the store and scanned the reward barcode and it only credited one. That’s happened twice. The store also doesn’t have what is on the app. Ordered a lunch item once only to hear the person working at the restaurant complaining that someone placed a mobile order for something they didn’t have. I had to opt for something else on the menu (while paying for what I wanted and not getting it). Really, just fix this app and get better organized. It’s not ready for prime time.

Not accurate. I live in the United States but near the Canadian border…a mile away. I’m not eligible for rewards because, even though I created the account in the United States, it says because my account was created in Canada. When I load a gift card it shows Canadian funds then depending on when I use it I’m subject to the current exchange rate. I entered all my information on my account but it doesn’t manually allow me to change my country even though I’ve entered a American address. I’ve called customer service and they were unable to help me. I guess I didn’t realize I needed to go on a road trip to down load a app. Apparently my home is in the United States but my living room is in Canada.

Decent app, but duplicate steps should be removed. When paying at the drive thru window via the app, store employees have to scan my phone 2x. Once for the Tims Rewards and again for payment from my Tim Card. Without fail, the store employees put down their scanner after the first scan, then I have to change my screen from Tims Rewards to Tim Card so they can pick up their scanner and scan my phone again. From a convenience and user functionality stand point, Tim Hortons should look at the Starbucks app, which only requires their store employees to scan a phone 1x for rewards and payment. In a world of speed and convenience, the Tim Hortons app is missing the mark.

Could be better. Love the selection and variety of options. Enjoy the rewards program, however do not like the way the new rewards are set up. Considering how much I spend (family of 6) on a single visit, I should receive far more than 10 points. And it’s definitely not worth placing multiple orders, because the orders have to be at least 30 minutes apart to qualify. Also, rewards are app based only now. No physical card. That’s quite a drastic assumption to believe every single person that may frequent a Tim Hortons has a smartphone. Rewards are not required by companies, so I will give 3 stars. However, if companies wish to gain & maintain customers they may want to reconsider their rewards approach.

Preferences. I like the convenience of being able to order through the app. A couple of things I would like to see improved are in the app there is no option to have certain things such as a plain croissant toasted and add butter to it, there’s is no option to add sauce/dressings to breakfast sandwiches, no option to really customize your order to your liking by being able to add/drop condiments or other things to your order. So when I place my order and go into the store to pick it up I have to tell them at that time that I want the croissant toasted with butter or can I have chipotle sauce for my breakfast wrap which by that time they have already made the wrap so they give me little cups of sauce and the I have to unwrap the wrap and add the sauce. Also the store doesn’t have any control over the app so when it comes to their inventory that is an issue as well....sometimes I’ll order something from the app and get to the store and they say oh we don’t have such and such right now or we don’t have that at this store. Just a few things that would make ordering through an app even more convenient and add to good customer service.

Don’t Get This App. The convenience of ordering with an app for a fresh cup of Tim’s is great but this app stinks. You will need to be VERY careful that the app applies the discounts you activate. Nine times out of ten they are not applied and you need to back out of your order and reapply them. However, this is a minor inconvenience compared to orders not going through. On numerous occasions we have placed online orders and received a confirmation email only to find out when we get to the restaurant that they never received our order. They then proceed to charge us again for the order minus any online order discounts. The store always tells us that they can’t do anything about problems with the app. I like Tim’s coffee but I am not willing to pay double for it. Unfortunately I am at the point where I am not going to go back to Tim’s, period.

Carol Parker. My husband and I go to the Tim Hortons on Lilly in Plymouth at least 5 times / week. We have been going there since it opened. We visit other TH when we are away from our favorite TH, but the TH in Plymouth is the best. The people that work there are very professional, conscious of what they are doing and are ALWAYS friendly. Even during the pandemic, when only the drive through was open they were always glad to see their customers. The manager is always on her toes. She’s great and very personable. You have a great company. Keep doing what your doing. We really enjoy how you change your menu up. The Northville and Luvon Tim Hortons are excellent as well.

Unfortunately not very helpful…. I’m really disappointed by this app. There is no option to browse the menu when the store is closed. You cannot see flavors available of anything when the store is open and you can actually view the “menu”. The only thing I can choose is “dozen donuts” or “pack of timbits”, I can’t even see what flavors might be available, which doesn’t help at all when I’m trying to see what I can order. The coupons/deals are helpful, but I like to plan ahead, and it would be nice to be able to see the actual full menu… and since I can’t customize anything, I’ll have to go in store, which is not a big deal but I’d like to know what’s there so I can plan what I want to order.

So why give it any stars?. I’m giving this app 1 star to try to offset the amount of people that give it 5 stars and then continue to write an entire review stating things they’d like to see changed or improved. If it’s not a good app then don’t let its rating in the store say it’s a 4.5 star app. I’m going with the “Canadians are so nice” angle here and telling you that you don’t have to make the developers feel good even though their app is trash. It won’t link my rewards card to the app rewards. It says that I registered it in Canada, which I did not. So therefore my US card can not be linked to a Canadian profile. This is something that should not even be an issue to begin with but it just adds to the headache of also trying to place an order. The app will tell you that numerous things are out of stock or not available at a location, but then if you ask for it in person they will 9/10 times have the item in store. All of this making the app itself inoperable and now unnecessary. I’m deleting it because it makes more work for me than just placing a simple order. I love Tim Horton’s in-store products so I won’t hold it against the coffee, but they really need to hire an entire new dev team for a new app.

Frustrating. This app is convenient but there are a major flaws. It gives you the option to order a bagel but that’s about it! I can’t choose if I want it toasted or extra toasted (which Is how I like it), it doesn’t give you an option for butter, and when I try to do plain cream cheese it tells me it’s not available. It doesn’t allow you to load money or pay from your phone until after you place an order ahead. Once I was able to load money I tried paying with the app and they told me it wouldn’t work and didn’t even know how to work it. Why give the option if you can’t even use it? They need to rethink this whole thing! Part of the reason I would go to Starbucks was because of their app. I didn’t need my wallet and if for some reason I didn’t have my card or wallet I didn’t need it, i could add money whenever and I could pay with no problem.....

Worst Rewards system. I come to Tim Hortons every single morning before work and have like 5 rewards saved up right now. You know why I haven't used any? Because the only thing I drink is a French Vanilla cap and their rewards system is completely restrictive of what you can use it on. While other places have stuff like "spend $25 and you'll get $5 credit" or something broad, TH only rewards people that drink traditional coffee as that's pretty much all you can use it on (and some food limited options that don't interest me as I eat breakfast at home). So basically, if you hate regular coffee then the rewards system is worthless for you. No reason to have the app anymore. If I buy 7 French Vanilla caps, I should be able to get a French Vanilla cap for free... Instead, I buy 7 French Vanillas and find myself suddenly not being able to buy one with my reward?? If FVs count towards the reward progress, why in the world wouldn't they count for reward redemption too....? No logic at all.

Terrible process. I was 2 hours away for work and decided to stop and get a coffee and lunch. I order on my app at the closest Tim Horton when I got there they were closed. Fine I get it, it’s Covid everyone’s short staff whatever. I contact support and tell them I was never able to get my food and I’d like to be refunded my $8.05 Support informed me that if I would like a refund I would have to get it directly from the store. I informed support I live 2 hours away from that location and if there is a way to at least transfer my order to a closer location. Never got a response. I’ve spoke with the manager at the Tim Hortons about a refund who says “we can’t do that, we do nothing with the app”. Once I use up my points I will be uninstalling this app from my phone

WORST App with terrible customer service. This should be my favorite app as I love Tim Hortons but it has been nothing but trouble. I live in US, near Canadian border so when I first signed up the app auto defaulted my account to Canada instead of US. Then the app didn’t work for anything- no rewards, no nothing. I tried to correct the error but there was no way to correct it myself. (What if someone moves from one side of the border to the other, what about the thousands of us in my community who travel back and forth over the border frequently?) I ended up having to contact customer service and the only options they gave were to create another account with a different email or completely delete the original account. I chose the latter which took several days and a series of annoying processes. When you delete your account you sign several data & privacy disclosures which quite frankly were kind of terrifying. The original plan had been to recreate the account with the correct country of origin but with the sketchy policies regarding what they are doing with your data and a not easily accessible customer service/help desk that took weeks to simply change a location. It looks like it is either over pay for coffe from now on, or better yet maybe I skip Tim Hortons altogether now.

Black Friday Gypped!. On Black Friday they had a “deal” for 25¢ coffee and I read the terms and conditions to make sure I wasn’t doing anything wrong bc that’s how they get you a lot of times. Well I used the app to pay and it didn’t give me the discount. And I bought a lot of coffees that day. I told the worker at the window when I went to pick up my order and they said they didn’t know about the deal. It shouldn’t have mattered if he knew or not tho because I placed the order on my app after I clicked the 25¢ coffee banner! Tim Hortons I’ve never been so mad and disappointed. Honestly you need to reboot the whole app. All of your faithful customers are losing respect for you. Basically stole from me.

Great app!. This is one of the better restaurant apps I’ve seen. The design keeps everything nice and organized. I like being able to neatly view my rewards and everything. If I had one complaint, it would be that there’s no way to view the menu outright. You have to check nearby stores and then {delivery or pickup} then you can finally see the menu. I get why you’d have to go through that process because items vary by location but maybe a general item menu listed could be added. It makes for great convenience.

Steals money and doesn’t work properly. UPDATE: I have been trying to get a refund to my bank account for a glitch in this app that made a duplicate charge to my bank account on January 4th. Today is January 22nd. I still do not have a refund. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS APP! It is absolute garbage and the Tim Hortons customer service is completely incapable of understanding the concept of a duplicate charge and providing the simple service of a refund. I have talked to/emailed at least 9 different people, including on social media and not one of them has correctly read the explanation, nor have they provided the correct service. I am beyond frustrated and just want my money back and this app out of my life forever. - - - This app never works how it should. It freezes, doesn’t place orders when you tap the place order button and claims it hasn’t been able to transfer funds through Apple Pay. Today it deducted the same dollar amount from my bank account twice. When you try to reach customer service through the app you’re lead to a screen with dead links and no phone number to call. Not only was my card charged twice, the second charge didn’t even post to my Tim card so I can’t even use the money in a store. It just doesn’t exist anywhere. It’s really annoying that I have to go through all this just for coffee.

NOT GREAT!. There is no search bar, you have to navigate the app through selecting each and every option over and over. They don’t let you select multiple kinds of donuts at once, which is a pain for this reason. They send you right back to the beginning! How annoying. The app is unbearably slow in the mornings, I’m not sure if it’s due to app traffic or what, but sometimes it takes a full 5 minutes to place a three-five item order because it takes forever to load. It took that long this morning. There was, unfortunately, a tragic accident outside my local Tim Horton’s that resulted in a block which denied my access to the restaurant. Because the order had already been placed, I was not allowed to cancel it. This is a ridiculous policy. Do you start making the food immediately after the order is placed? Highly doubtful.

Doesn't work.. I rarely write reviews but this app has frustrated me time and again. I keep coming back to it hoping they've fixed the problems, because I love going to Tim Hortons, but it's just useless. The system is terrible: you can use Apple Pay to add money to your virtual Tim Card, but to order online you NEED to take the money from the Tim Card, and you can only refill from your bank account in minimum $5 increments. This seems designed to get you to leave little amounts of money stuck in the app to encourage you to keep ordering. On my last try, I could not get Apple Pay to even connect correctly, and couldn't reload the card, so I couldn't order online. Also, this is an app made for Canada with very little attention paid to US customers, which can cause real problems. It's supposed to choose CAD or USD based on your location but this didn't work for me; despite being 40 miles into Michigan from Canada, in the past the app interpreted all amounts as Canadian dollars. It would add $5 CAD to the virtual Tim card, which ended up being like $4 and change in USD. My bank then hit me with an international exchange fee. It was as if I had actually visited a Tim Hortons location in Canada. It's been a lot of stress; for a chain this big, I'm surprised how buggy this app is.

Great coffee, but pretty terrible app. There is no easy way to add a new gift card to your account/rewards. Like, just enter the card number and pin, and presto, there's your money. It SHOULD be that easy. This should all be linked, much like the Wawa or Sheetz (or even *gasp* Dunkin') apps. To get the Tim Card process rolling on the app, you have to enter credit card info, add money, etc. If you want to stop the auto reload feature, you have to jump through hoops and log in on the website (not app) to change it. This is dumb. Again, one should be able to just enter the gift card number and pin to apply the funds. Two stars - only because the rest of the interface and design are somewhat pleasing. Take a break from the pond hockey and get with times, Timmy.

Deleting the app. Update 29Oct2021: trying the app another time. Same problem. Can’t load gift card balance. No support. In the meantime, I have found other coffee that is just as good and they have a much better app to order. I loaded the app this morning. Tried to load a balance from an existing Tim’s card. Said number was not valid. It has $40+ USD. Called number on back of gift card...person said she couldn’t help me, had to use chat feature on website. Didn’t want to waste my time. In addition it’s confusing as to whether I need to be a registered user with a password or just kinda register with my email and phone number, but no password via the app. Then I read the recent reviews. Oh my. Tim Hortons makes good coffee, but sure sounds like their execution on IT side is not good. Not worth any more of my time. I am deleting the app.

Working good now, install instructions needs improvement. Instruction sheet handed out by the local Tim Horton’s store gave better instructions and talking to an employee there. What is confusing is when setting up the account for the app is you have to have the same email account on your phone to receive the email to activate the app. Doing it from a computer it does not work. After talking to the employee at the store and adding another email account on my phone I got it to work and it is working good. Good update today adding the scan to the wallet!

Forcing use of Tim’s Card?!!!. Edit: Wow a response! I should be glad eh? Guess they didn’t read the review though. FYI guys… I already emailed your support as well as called/emailed CBC news and others. Was just too darn tired to go flood you guys on social media but that’s next. Not that it would accomplish anything… #TimHortonsCares ————— Are you kidding me? Seriously this must be a joke… because if you’re now FORCING us to use & preload your card vs paying directly (ApplePay, credit card etc. as I’ve done and have payment methods setup for) then GOODBYE Tim Hortons. Not only will I NOT use the app but I’ll not buy anything from you again. Why? Preloading your card with MY money in advance is me giving you an interest free loan! Forcing everyone using the app to do this will surely give you a lot of cash to float… I have to put up with this at banks but refuse to from a merchant wanting my business. I hope everyone reading this does the same and says goodbye to you. What a slimy move on your part.

BE AWARE THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR THE WRONG STORE AND NOT REFUND YOU. First of all, this app is so confusing and difficult to use, and this is coming from someone who works in the tech industry. I put an order in what a $2 latte coupon, not only was the coupon not applied but it was placed at a store I was no where near. They didn’t bother to ask you which store you were located at or ordering from, they just assume you selected the correct store. Once the order is placed, they immediately withdraw the money from your card no matter what. It’s not like McDonalds where you are charged after getting your food. Once they take the money from your card, they refuse to refund you it saying they are unable to refund you. This is fraud and I will be contacting both my bank and the App Store to report it.

It’s international news that this app has been spying illegally.. Read the news. This app has been illegally spying on everyone who’s installed it for years.

Convenient, but.... Convenient for when I don’t want to wait in the long line ups, but it’s really quite dumb that they weren’t able to create an app that charges you the exact amount for your meal, instead doing flat amounts of 5, 10, 20, etc. You know, the way literally every other mobile food app works?

SLOW. This has to be the slowest app ever, this needs to be fixed. It takes an extremely like time to load anything.

Apple wallet. It would be nice to be able to access my Tim card balance with the Apple Wallet instead of having to unlock the phone and then go to the Tim app.

Sucks: Eats up your money💰. I got a French Vanilla from Tim Hortons online and had to pay for ONE DRINK AT LEAST 3 TIMES!!! This is really disappointing it just ate my money! Then I called Tim’s and asked where my order was. (As everyone else would do the same). They said they never got my order and said to pay again. I complained to them and even showed them my BILL that I have PAYED!! They still said to pay again, since they never got my order. This app is just trash. Totally trash. I would totally recommend the Starbucks app over this one! I would only have this app back if you guys fix this bug!!😡

This app tracked you even when you weren’t using it.. Please read the news regarding this app. The app was tracking you without your permission - even when you were using the app. Don’t take my word for it - research it - and tell your friends.

Worst update possible. Why fix something that’s not broken, like the hockey challenge is gone completely, and it’s super buggy to use now. Not a fan at all

Update ruined it. Last updates wiped my balance and rewards (that’s stealing, just FYI) and all of my history, now I can’t add balance back. So, basically I can’t use this app. I waited patiently for it to resolve, nope. I wrote to their support and received nothing back after several weeks. Sooo...now I give one star. Fix it!! And don’t forget to respond to support tickets! Oh and also, you are WAY overdoing it with new menu items. Too cluttered. TH had an identify, now it’s a mess.

No privacy. Just read the privacy policy of the App and it says how this App may collect any information from you and doesn’t guarantee the security of data collected! Do not trust them!!

App tracking a mass invasion of Canadians' privacy'. Tim Hortons' mobile app tracked and recorded users' movements resulting in "a mass invasion of Canadians' privacy" that violated Canadian laws, an investigation by federal and provincial privacy commissioners has found.

Add Wallet comptability. Starbucks has done the rewards points and digital card right. You only need to open the Wallet app (double click power button) with all your other digital cards. AND your digital balance and rewards are linked on one card so you only need to scan once. I don’t want to have to dig through my apps, find the Tims app, wait a few seconds for it to load, click on the reward card to use it then click on the digital balance to pay. Bad design

Why all the needless updating. It was nice when the app first came out. I liked it and it was convenient. Then they started rolling out updates some broke the app some made it work again, some were intuitive some down right confusing. The last iteration was working well and easy to use and the did it again, another update. Now there is an even longer process to order and not very straight forward. Thanks for nothing. Then there are these new lids that leak everywhere that customers and employees hate. Thanks again. I have been a customer for Almost 50 years and I think it is time for a change.

Worst ever. Thought I would be smart and put all my gift cards on my app and be able to pay we fun story is that the app actually must work for That. Got to Tim’s and an updated happened log me out to get logged back in I needed to wait for an email ( that can take up to 3 mins) follow a link and we’ll my gift card is no longer on my account, which is now sitting at home because well I thought that was the point of the app so now I’ve paid out of pocket.

Crap. Would be awesome if it actually gave you the 7th cup free and didn’t reset to zero skipping the free one. Do better Timmies.

Terrible. My credit card info changed and the app won’t let me up date it. Tried deleting the app and entering it and it still didn’t work. Tried to setup a new account with my other email and it also won’t work. Asked for support on Thursday and never heard back

No email received. I am still waiting for email so I open the app after last update

THEY SELL YOUR DATA !. Tim Hortons' contract with a U.S. third-party location services supplier contained language so "vague and permissive" that it would have allowed the company to sell "de-identified" location data for its own purposes. Surveillance of our everyday movements reveals where people live and work report by The Canadian Press was first published June 1, 2022

collected location data when app was not in use. bruh

Double double. They deleted the double double button. It was so much easier! And if you can add names for personalized coffee that will be perfect because you don't know which one is which especially when you are ordering for lots of people! Thanks!

Thieves!. I lost at least 70 dollars worth of saved gift cards because the app logged me off one fine day. When I went back on, I had a zero balance! It’s been almost 3 weeks and still no one at the head office has gotten back to me. To top it off, the app is no longer working at the location I always go to. It shows an “x” in the app under locations. Yet the machine for mobile pick ups works for others. Not happy with all the glitches with this app!

Avoid ! They track everything about you. Avoid this trash app.

Frustrated. The new update is very inconvenient. When trying to log on it says you need to use a code in your email. However I NEVER get the email no matter how many times I try to do this. I am doing this during my break and then t never works.. I end up wasting my break trying to get the app working and I’m not able to eat as a result of this new update. The app should go back to being easier to access so I can get back onto my own account especially since my money is on the Tim’s card which I can’t access..

Panopticon. An insidious and craven breach of Canadian privacy. Shame on you Tim Horton’s, collecting geotagged data without our consent (presumably to SELL TO UNKNOWN THIRD PARTIES) is unacceptable behaviour from any corporation, and a flagrant abuse of Canadians’ trust in your organization. I hope this scandal leads to a widespread boycott. I’ve deleted the app, and will be advising everyone I know to do the same. It’s time for Canadians to stop trusting Tim Horton’s, the man is long gone and the company doesn’t deserve our trust or respect anymore

App collected data continuously. Tim Hortons app was found to be spying on users. Unimpressed, won't install again.

Beware!. Bought a Tim card to transfer to app ( as I have numerous times). Keep getting error message. Call Tim’s - randomly they no longer permit this yet their website states you can. Waste of time and money.

Why did you make it worse? - Broken again. Now I can’t even reload or order from the app. What’s going on? Would love to know who thought this user experience and design through... increased barrier to entry, wasted design space, more scrolling more clicking. The location finding has gone from okay to absolute garbage. Come on guys. You had a better thing going before this release.

Can’t load payment. I cannot load a cc and cannot get support. I don’t know how anyone can use this. So frustrating.

Tracks Location. According to the government Regulator, this app has been tracking its customers every few minutes all day, every day. Remove it if you have it installed.

Literal Spyware confirmed.. Do Not Download.

Still Doesn’t Allow Apple Wallet Feature. Tried on the IPhone XS Max and now the IPhone 14 Pro still doesn’t work….

Tim Hortons is under investigation in Canada for location tracking. This application is currently under investigation in Canada for tracking its users when the app is not open when users choose to track only when the app is open. Shame on you, Tim Hortons. You lost a customer.

Tracking All your data. Apparently this app has been tracking everything you have been doing even when the app is logged off. It’s been in the news if you haven’t downloaded the app already I would steer clear of it.

such a slow app!. i feel like i’m in 2012 with how slow this app is. it shouldn’t take me 10 minutes to order a coffee. do better!

Crap!. This app sucks. I’ve placed mobile orders several times and then when I get to Tim’s the order didn’t go through. They make me order and pay again, but later I discover that the mobile order went through along with the counter order. In the end, I’ve paid twice for one order. Terrible app. Starbucks works every time, why can’t Tim’s ?!?!?!

Terrible App!!!. You really expect users to go the extra mile and submit a ticket just for you guys to even address the endless issues in YOUR app?? I remember submitting a ticket for something the app should have had from the start and support responded saying they have gotten a lot of tickets/requests asking the same thing that I did!! That was YEARS ago and it STILL hasn’t been implemented into the app!!! So yes, as that other person said, you submit a ticket like they ask, only to get further ignored. Even if they address it, they don’t fix anything. They just want to know who’s saying what, to take away the anonymity. Look at them — they don’t care about your privacy, they were collecting data they weren’t supposed to be. And they only want to give us a free coffee and donut for doing so. What a joke. TERRIBLE.

Updated version SUCKS. I enjoy the look of the new updated version of the app, but they changed so much that I barely know how to use it anymore! 1. There’s no where to add a gift card on there. PLUS they make it 10x harder to reload from a saved paying method (visa, debit, etc) 2. Trying to find the location you usually use is now completely haywire because it won’t show you what the place you want looks like to get the right location. Because if this I chose the wrong location for my mobile order on my way to work, missed my order which had me starving to death at work, and I lost about $5 from that. I love Tim hortons with all my heart, but this is ridiculous. Why fix something that wasn’t broken in the first place?

Crap. I got an email notification that I’d no longer be able to use my google sign in but an email address. Okay no biggie. Go to Tim’s this am, order a coffee. I have a $20 card loaded in the app as well as my Tim rewards. App says I have to log in with an email so I use my gmail. Get a verification code. Enter it. ‘Sorry we are unable to find your account’. I tried again. Same response. I enter another email thinking maybe I didn’t use gmail. Same thing. Retry. I have three email addresses and I tried all three multiple times whether entering the code manually or tapping through the link in the verification email to get to the app in my phone. I’ve tried now about ten times. Nothing. I had to pay for my coffee with cash and I didn’t get my points. Not looking promising for reaching anyone judging by others’ comments. I’d better get my $20 back and I won’t be using this dumb app again.

Garbage. I started writing to the app creator about how difficult it had been to use the app and just to contact support, they make you go through a checklist of things to try (as if it’s your fault). I did them and of course it still doesn’t work. Then they close the chat session automatically and direct you to another long form with unrelated questions to answer. Easier to just say your app sucks. It does not work and I’ve tried randomly for a few months now thinking one day it will. Going to Starbucks.

put on the wallet option. can someone please get the apple wallet option on the app please i go to tim’s everyday and always forget to load the app before i go so please !!

Deleted, Disappointed. This app doesn’t even get a star after I found out it was tracking my every move. Do better Tim Hortons. You lost a customer, won’t be coming to your store anymore.

Read most recent reviews. Read the article. Never any offers too. Good riddance

Not intuitive. You MUST make it possible to scan rewards and pay from the same screen - having to hand phone twice while switching screens at drive through or counter does not align with the convenience people expect from an app - especially bc you are Tim’s, not GG’s coffee shop in a dark alley. Get with it! Your prices have gone up but not your level of service.

Shame on Tim Horton. EDIT: love the canned developer response to all complaints -- go to your web site for further tracking? Running! Been tracking you and me without my permission even when I wasn't using the app. Tim Hortons has proven that they are not worthy of the esteem and idolization the Canadian people bestowed on them. Deleted forever, will drink Tim's never.

Essentially malware. I deleted the app after the news that Tim Hortons was using it to continually track location data every few minutes, even when the app was closed.

Tims. Stop tracking us

Lost my account and money on the app!. Lost my tims account due to the new update, I go to log in and I get the email verification and I try to open with the app but nothing happens. I lost 30$ and I tried to transfer the money to my new account I made and I can’t even email the email they gave me to get my money because it somehow doesn’t exist. Good job Tim Hortons won’t be using this app anymore and the customer service isn’t the greatest as well

Used to be so good. When the app first launched it had amazing offers, was easy to use and the roll up the win prizes were always good, making it a no brainer to go to Timmy’s almost every day. Now it’s gotten so bad it’s almost like they want us to go to McDonald’s instead…

App Tracks You. App tracks you even when it’s closed. Been collecting for years. Delete it ASAP. Completely in-Canadian.

Removed Apple Wallet Functions. Since the launch of scan and pay, Tim Hortons removed the option to add our tims card to Apple Wallet. This is very annoying as sometimes it takes a while to open the app OR might have forgot my phone at home and could have still scanned my tims card on my Apple Watch wallet. Very annoying. Please add it back.

🤣🤣🤣. IT’S LAUGHABLE HOW TERRIBLE THIS APP IS, YET IT WAS GIVEN EDITORS’ CHOICE WHO’S THE DUMB**** THAT GAVE THEM THAT????🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Rewards. I activated to Rewards and one applied with my order. However, the lady couldn’t tell me whether the other rewards that I activated will disappear or not. So I don’t know what activating a reward means. Does it mean you have to use it right away or it goes away? Or is it just ready to use for next time? Every words have to be used right away when activated, and it should only allow me to activate one at a time.

App worked great until a few days ago. This app worked really great for us and my husband and I both have it on her phones for the same accountBut something happened earlier this week and we can no longer reload the app from any card or even Apple Pay. The only thing it will take is an actual Tim card and then you have to transfer the balance. Very frustrating. Update: Tried to contact support as suggested and that doesn’t work either 😂 “ There was an error submitting your support case. Please try again”

Can’t access my account. Several days ago I was logged out of the app. I input my email address to get back in and received and email with a link to open the app. But it doesn’t open. The alternative is to open on the website. I can get into my account on the site, but can’t use any of my preloaded finds because it’s defaults to CAD and I’m in the US. I change the currency to US...and then my login is no longer active. I’ve been trying to get signed back in for DAYS. I can’t contact tech support because I have to be in the app...which isn’t working.

Probably the worst run app in the store. This has to be one of the worst apps out, I haven’t been able to open the app in months. I just sit on a blank white screen. On top of that, when I had access whenever I wanted to use my points at the store it never would go through. The store would scan my card and I wouldn’t receive my reward and to go with it my points never banked. The rewards programs doesn’t make any kind of sense either 10points only per visit no matter the amount you spend, but cost 200 points to get a iced coffee? Seems like the point system is a massive money grab.

Terrible App Layout and Design. Makes me realize just how good the Starbucks’s app is by using this piece of trash...it took me fifteen minutes just to be able to figure out how to add my physical gift cards to my digital balance! It’s very confusing, because there’s a “Tim Card” link under the “More” section of the app, and this takes you to a completely different website! I thought I had to create an account there (Which looks like it’s a totally separate account system? Why?!?!?) in order to do it, so I did, and then still didn’t see any way to add the balance to the app... Then I Google’d this and FINALLY got it, you have to go to “Scan” at the bottom — then hit “Tim Card” on the top, and THEN scroll all the way down to the bottom and tap “transfer balance” — what a raging dumpster fire, you can tell they outsourced the app development to some firm in Bangalore that does the crappiest layouts and bare minimum functionality!

Not an improvement. I'm afraid the new app isn't really an improvement over the old app. First off, if there's a way to use it to find the nearest Tim Hortons location without using it to do online ordering, I haven't been able to figure it out. Sometimes I just want to find the nearest location, and that's all. Second, the app seems no longer to have support for putting a virtual Tim Card in my Apple Wallet. That I definitely do not like. On the plus side the interface is much cleaner. Unfortunately, it's functionality still leaves a lot to be desired.

Hope you don’t need a refund. The app has been a frustration almost at every step. In order to get you points you have to order and pay through the app. To play the roll up to win game you have to order and pay through the app. If you do order and pay through the app and you go to pick up and find they don’t have something you ordered (we ordered a soda and the machine was down) there is no mechanism to issue a refund. You take a substitution or you must call corporate. All I got back was points… not cool. Deleted app with the points. Not worth the hassles.

WASTE OF YOUR TIME. I would give this app zero stars if that was an option. First off, the app doesn’t have the full menu so you can only order certain things. The menu at the actual Tim Hortons has so much more, especially seasonal items and deals. Second, it’s hit or miss if the store will actually receive your order. I’ve ordered and paid using the app and then arrive at the store only for them to tell me they don’t have my mobile order; and then insist I reorder and repay. The app “support team” is utterly useless too. It doesn’t matter how many times you report an issue, nothing is resolved. Seriously, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS AWFUL APP!

Awful App!!. I would give 0 stars if I could. I downloaded to make it easier to place an order tomorrow morning and you can’t order online, have to download the app. I live right next to a Tim Hortons. The app would not let me input an address, but had to find it on map view, the Tim Hortons was on the map already and didn’t recognize there was a store there. I tried clicking on the store multiple times and nothing changed. It was impossible for me to set a store to order from, making it impossible for me to order at all. I have never reviewed an app before but this one is so bad and so upsetting I had to share. Not worth the time, needs a lot of improvement!!!

Fix the Problems. The app consistently provides a “Opps, something went wrong” error when I try to submit my completed order. When I try to order a 2nd time I receive a “Duplicate Order” message. When I click Recent Orders I don’t see an order. When I click Place Order I receive an “Uh Oh” error message. I tried updating my app, but it was already up to date. I then removed and reinstalled the app and still receive these error messages. I even created a 2nd user account with a different credit card and I’m STILL unable to place an order.

App is awful!. I’ve never been able to use the rewards program within the app as it always errors. Support is terrible as I’ve tried numerous times to get things working. No way to have an ongoing conversation with support. New version auto downloaded this morning and it won’t fully load.

New update ruined ordering!. New app update seems great… smooth browsing through the menu. But then time comes to place your order. It’s not just the Apple app - my husband has a Samsung and neither of us can place the order. The app gets totally hung up at the final step. I’ve tried closing and opening, even restarting my phone. Garbage update if we can’t even place an order! I’ve tried clicking “app support” and it just keeps taking me back to the app “contact us” page and reloading the same page over and over.

Like it But 1 Suggestion. I like the app and I have used it for over a year. I make consistent purchases and love the new reward system better. My one suggestion is that I’d like to be able to use it multiple times a day and get points each visit. There are times I go someplace else for lunch because I already made a purchase for breakfast at Tim Horton’s and my lunch purchase would not count at Tim Hortons. Your rewards system DOES NOT encourage multiple visits in one day. Please fix this.

Diet restrictions. Went to Tim Hortons in huber Heights Ohio for Coffee this morning i ask for a large Coffee with 3 Creams only!!! I get my Coffee and get on the freeway I take a drink of my Coffee and my lord they put sugar in it. I am a diabetic and can not have any sugar at all. I am on Insulin and medication. Hope you know you can kill a diabetic by adding sugar to there drinks I will never come back to this Tim Hortons you all most cost my life because of your careless employees who just don’t care and listen carefully to the customers. Customer service is very important you have to have employees who pay attention to details. This is a serious mistake your employees made.

bad.. this was my second time using the app. i used it 6 months ago and it didn't work. i had hoped that they would have fixed the problems in the app. but they DID NOT. first of all, the app kept crashing as we were trying to place our order, extremely frustrating. then if we did get it to work, it had about only half of the items that were on the actual menu, so not a lot of options. also, when we got there, it said our order was ready, but in reality it wasn't and it only said we ordered 2 drinks when we ordered 4. we had to wait an extra amount of time to get what we ordered. and they still messed up our drinks. needless to say i will not be utilizing that app again.

One star is too much. My experience has shown me their “update” is a step backward. Their new app took my money from the TimmyMe app but now it crashes every time I want to see my balance or use it. Their old app worked fine with few glitches but their new one is terrible and has taken my money. Surely there are some programmers somewhere who know how to fix problems like this. With other apps, other companies monitor these reviews and use them to see what’s working and what’s not working. It looks like these problems go all the way back to when they released it months ago. Come on Tim Hortons, if you went to the trouble to pay someone to create a new app then trouble shoot it!

Update won’t let me log back in. I was forced to update my app 5 days ago requiring me to log back. Unfortunately it won’t allow me to log in. It says “Something went wrong. An error occurred signing in. “ I deleted the app and installed it again and it still comes up with the same error. I have money I just added to my account and cannot use it. I contacted admin. My reference # is Z2XMS. I can’t log in on my computer either. I get the same response. If someone could check this out and get back to me, I would greatly appreciate. DK UPDATE: it took two weeks but they did recover my account Ali g with the money I had loaded on the app. They did communicate with me along the way. I was more concerned with losing the money I had loaded. Thank you for fixing it!

Works great for everything but ordering. I love using the app to scan for getting my rewards points and deals like BOGO donut, and for spending my rewards points (although that interface could be a little easier to use). Unfortunately, the limited number of donut types listed in the app makes it useless for ordering, as it never has everything I want to order (e.g. raspberry-filled, or picking out specific TimBits in a 10-pack). It’s too bad, because I’d really like to use this for big orders, and repeat orders. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Maybe someday?

It works but... There are limited options to order from. Some examples: I order a sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a croissant - no way to order that on here.. also I love to add chipotle sauce to the farmers wrap- no way to add that in there either. A suggestion would be a build your own sandwich option or something! This app is quick and easy to use when you are in a rush but I’m eating something that I’m not fully happy with. Also for the coffee there needs to be more options of flavor shots- the only option is hazelnut 😩 I hope they see this. Thank you!

Ruined a good thing!. Not a fan of the new layout but whatever, I can deal with that. But now the app is completely useless because the reload function won’t work. You tap on reload and absolutely nothing happens, if you try to reload with Apple Pay, apple prompts you to double click to approve, but the balance never increases (if it even shows your balance). I can make it to the Tim’s nearest my work there and back in 8-10 minutes so I usually just grab my phone and license, Not a nice surprise to go through the drive thru and not be able to pay for my drink because the app is broken.

Updates a nuisance. I like being able to keep track of how many points I have and then choosing how to apply them. That is the plus side. What I don’t like is the frequency of updates which take place when you are about to use it. Several times when I had to update, I had to go to my email account to complete the update. This is a real nuisance. Why can’t I be notified of upcoming updates and do it when I am not in line trying to scan an order?

Never can place mobile orders. They always advertise these great mobile order offers…but when I go to cash my order out for my store it says store unavailable for mobile ordering and that “they are aware of the problem”. I have tried different locations at different times of the day and it NEVER works. I think in all this time I’ve got maybe 2 orders to go through and that was probably over a year ago. I’ll even go by the location to confirm they are intact open and they always have been. Maybe I’ll just stick to going to Dunkin’

YIiiiikes. So many things to say. #1 it takes way too long to offer store locations. I have full cell service - what is the malfunction? #2 I switch locations and it still reverts back to the last location used. That was a real blast at the drive through when they couldn’t find my order. #3 the pop ups. OMG. Please stop with the pop ups. Show your offers on the app main page and stop with the pop ups. #4 I super duper love the unexpectedly logged out of the app thing you guys do. That’s always a fun surprise at the worst time. Why does this happen so often?? #5 I have now tried reload my account about 6 times unsuccessfully. That was also super fun at the drive through when I had to rifle through my purse to find my credit card because the payments aren’t going through. Worker at the drive through says it happens regularly and sometimes people don’t have cash/another payment choice. What is going on?!?!

Good app, one major flaw. The app is really intuitive, but for the love of all doughnuts, please add the ability to choose what flavors of Timbits when ordering! We like most of them, but prefer only 2 flavors. Every time I place an online order, I have to call the facility to request specific Timbit flavors. I don't care to call the facility, but seems like it would be easier and more efficient to have this ability while ordering instead of calling them to interrupt their work flow.

Fast & Quick. I was skeptical to use the app since one day I over heard another customer had used the app and they said there was a problem with it but they quickly made her order. This morning I was running late and thought I would give it a try rather than standing on the long line. As soon as I walked up and showed her my phone with the app and order number she handed me my order. I was thrilled. It’s was fast and quick!

Needs Improvement. I downloaded this app a few months ago (January '23) and I've already experienced multiple problems with it. 1.) For instance it has let me put in drive thru orders to a closed store twice now. Shouldn't there be an alert telling you if the times of operation changed? (Unless there's a true emergency and it's a last minute closure). 2.) A couple times now I've submitted in an order for the store to never receive it. I know it's not the workers fault but it can still be frustrating for both parties. 3.) During orders I have had the app shut down on me, forcing me to close it out, reopen it, and start an order all over again. I've found it a million times easier just to place my order when I'm already there. It kind of defeats the purpose of even having the app.

This app is the worst. I’m in the USA, so YMMV if you’re in Canada. I got the app to order online and get rewards. But while you can gain rewards by ordering on mobile through the app, you can’t actually claim rewards by ordering on mobile. At least, that was my experience until today, when the app completely forgot who I was and where there were any Tim’s in my city. This app is garbage.

A good start!. The app works as advertised! But, there are things that could be improved. It saves time otherwise spent ordering and paying - you still wait for the order to be prepared, though. I don’t like the prepaid balance idea, either. One legit gripe that I do have is some items available in the store (chive and onion cream cheese, for instance) isn’t available in the app (and vice versa) - so plain is the only option in those cases. Fix that and I’m good.

Good restaurant, poor app. This app is terrible! I tried to transfer the amount on some gift cards into the app to pay for orders, but it won’t take them, saying the cards aren’t from the same region as I am. The cards were bought in the same county that I’m in, and my account says Eng/USA. And when I try to report the issue through the Contact Us part of the app, it won’t go through, reporting there was an error and to try again later. I tried for days and days! Easier to just drive up and order at the speaker.

Customer Review. It is so annoying to place an order and you get to your destination and it’s not correct. I have ordered oatmeal and it is either too watery or not enough moisture. I order BLT on artisan bun with extra mayo. I actually receive TWO (2) pieces of bacon with a “smear” of mayo. This has happened to me several times at the same location near my job. I once went on the establishment and watched the young lady make the sandwich. I stopped her before she closed it after seeing no mayo applied. She restarted with disgust! I was amazed. Tim Hortons should monitor their help once in awhile.

Can’t use gift cards with app. I would give it zero stars if I could. You give us a app to order ahead and what not, however I can’t link my physical gift cards on the app or via website. I called their customer service and they are clueless. Dunkin’ and Starbucks allow you to link gift cards with the app to use so you can call ahead. So what is the point of the app and selling physical gift cards if I can’t link them. This needs to be fixed. You need to catch up with the other major coffee companies. So dissatisfied and disappointed with Tim Horton’s right now. Do better!

Needs overhaul & cashier training. I finally scrapped it from my phone. Order window & cash is king for those coffee orders my mom demands. You asked for more details. I agree with many others here. Just clean slate. The aesthetic is the only useable framework. So start over. And link the app to the cashier! My mom’s latte costs 2x+ with the app vs order at the window with cash. Last time my order never made it to cashier & would not update. I gave up, wrote off my money and ordered her latte old-school at another after I went to BK to order for myself. So as I said. Coupled with other complaints. Clean slate with a new developer.

Scan and pay feature issue. I just downloaded the newest app. I added my credit card information and when I go to scan and pay option it requires me to refill all my info even though the card is showing already. I reentered it again and saved and it’s always blank and asking for info that’s already there??! I haven’t tried ordering yet to see if this will work either way but it’s clearly some sort of glitch.

Emails about new offers. While I live the convenience of using the app to scan my rewards and pay, I keep receiving emails in regards to new offers available in the app. When I try to see what offers are available, there are none there. I used to be able to see them, and have used them in the past, so I’m sad there hasn’t been any when I’m receiving emails telling me there are. Other than that, as I said, I love the convenience of using this app.

Not Convenient. This app doesn’t keep you signed in. Very inconvenient to pull up to the window and be signed out of the app. First, the app doesn’t remember your email, so you have to type it in every time. Second, you have to wait for the email. Third, the link in the email doesn’t always log you in the first time, so you have to go back to the email. To be safe, you should open the app every morning before you leave the house to go through this process, hopefully, you will still be logged in if you go to Tim’s that day. Not worth the free coffee you occasionally earn.

Mostly useless App. Aside from getting reward points this app is very unreliable and inconvenient when it works. Frequently can’t order because stores won’t respond when checking out with your cart. Freezing or shutting down of the app is more common whenever I attempted to order. Inconvenience of payment options are ridiculous. Why would anyone need have to buy either a physical or digital Tim/gift card if they want to order and pay using the app. How is this the only purchasing app that doesn’t take credit cards or Apple Pay. Their registers accept Apple Pay which I love not having to deal with a chip reader.

Don’t waste your time. This app is absolutely awful. You can only read load your Tim card if you’re making an online purchase. What if you just want to reload your wallet before you go to the store? This is atrocious compared to the old app. Why didn’t they just use the same developers that created the old app? The old app worked great to re-load everything in the Tim card could be part of your Apple wallet. I realize the new app let you order online but it’s not ready when you get there ever any way so this is such a waste. I absolutely love Tim Hortons, but I won’t be using this app. I’ll just use my credit card going forward, this is far too much of a hassle.

Awful. For months I’ve been trying to transfer money from gift cards. It never works. I receive an error message telling me that they can’t process my request. So I emailed them and after a few questions, they ghosted me. No further response. It’s unfortunate that such a large company has an app that is so terrible but it’s egregious that their customer service is so poor. I’m not able to order on the app because I can’t transfer funds. So I have to use the card in person and miss out on any mobile deals. It’s starting to feel like a scam.

Must use Google or Facebook!. I recently switched over to this app and am not impressed. Upon first signing on, I used my e-mail address only and when I went to add funds, it was done in Canadian dollars, even though I am nowhere near Canada. I e-mailed the technical service about this and their response was to sign in using Google or Facebook, so that the app can determine that I am in the US. I don’t use either for their privacy issues, but apparently it is required for the app. However, when I added the funds, it was known that they were in US dollars. Personally, I think the old app was fine and never had any issues.

Pointless activation of rewards. I have found this app works terribly for me. I learned early on that you cannot activate current offers while in the drive thru as they will not register in time. So recently I’ve taken to activating all offers I expect to qualify for through the week early. However, it seems that even that will not trigger the rewards. Sunday mornings I stop and spend $20+ on family breakfast. Not one single offer that was activated earlier in the week was applied to my order. Instead I’m rewarded with the standard 10pts. Like others I find this measly reward an insult and not appropriate to the size of the transaction.

Spyware. The Canadian government has determined that this app was programmed in such a way that it was able to collect data about devices’ locations “as often as every few minutes.” If you’ve used this app during the period of time in focus, Tim Hortons was likely tracking your locations, movements, browsing history, etc. and selling the information to data brokers. If you used this app to purchase Tim Hortons’ food and beverages, the company was profiting more than once. The first was your initial purchase; the second take was selling your information to third-party data miners and brokers. Thus, you were both the consumer AND the product!

Almost a Waste of Time for Ordering. The only reason to use this app is to collect “reward points” when scanning and occasionally to get offers”. Do NOT bother trying to order in advance unless you want to collect karma points for patience from the universe. Honestly, why bother? The restaurant won’t start preparing your order until you arrive anyway. Issues are: no options for picking out donut or timbit choices unless you pay individually per item; “customizing” items is almost randomly available and NOT intuitive; you can’t do “multiple orders” at the same time (so just do it when you get to the drive thru because it’s easier), and zero control over which “select this offer” you want to use/cannot use them for multiple orders (1 per half hour?). If you are doing a run for a group, just write it down because this App is only really useful for scanning your points and you only get 10 points regardless.

Roll and win. Game is rigged they started passing out the Cups a week prior to the game starting so I saved 9 of my cups when March 6 came along trying to scan them and would not scan emailed Tim Hortons about the situation they told me it would not work because I got them early. So if the game started on March 6, why are you passing them out early? I know why so they don’t have to give out all of their gifts that they are given out figure they get rid of half of their cups before the game even starts then screw the customer that’s the story I got from Tim Hortons. I can turn the lights. A A.

May work for some areas but not my area. We have a new Tim Hortons in the Bemidji MN area (near my cabin). This app locks me out every time I try to use it. I reinstalled it twice (one time with allow to use my location turned on, and one time with 'don't allow to use my location' turned on, so that I could select). It didn't matter, because it locks me out every time. I have no doubt this works in some areas, but if you want us to use this app in the Bemidji MN area, you need to fix the it. (BTW, I know all about app usage... have tons of apps, and teach technology at a Comm. College). Until this works better, I deleted it.

Dont bother. This is a terrible, buggy app. Tried to mobile order, but full menu is not on the app. Restaurant says they don’t get the mobile order and just wait until you get to the drive thru and then ask what you ordered. Difficult to navigate the app. Separate actions to use gift card and loyalty card. If paying by gift card you have to tell them first or they run it as credit and tell you it’s been declined. This app has been junk for years and seems to have gotten worse. With so many good mobile order apps (Starbucks, Chick fil a) it is inexcusable that this one is so bad. Just look around Tim!

Worthless app. I’ve now downloaded this app three times hoping that the issues will have been resolved and they still aren’t. Every time I try to order on the app, it allows me to put items in my cart. But when I try to proceed to checkout, the app glitches and crashes. I’ve tried re-downloading the app multiple times over the course of a week and it still crashes every time immediately when I press the check out button. So frustrating. Even worse, you can’t see any prices of the menu items. Presumably, you can see them when you’re checking out but since I can’t get that far, I can’t even use the app to view menu items and prices. Therefore it’s absolutely worthless.

Scamming Customers. Downloaded the app in March 2022, worked fine for a while then started getting error message when placing order. App kept telling me to reload funds to the attached Tim card. Tried to reload 5 times only to find my bank account was repeatedly charged for funds that were never loaded to the Tim Card. Sent info to Tech department going on four days no response. Spoke with Customer service rep still no response. Horrible customer service. Tim’s Horton store attendants refuse to help and told me they are having trouble with the apps and are not trained to assist customers. Still waiting to find out where my money disappeared to.

Meh, needs improvement. The recent update fixed one problem I had - which is that my closest Timmy’s didn’t show up so I couldn’t order ahead there. But now apparently the app doesn’t alert the store when an order is placed. So I had to wait while they made it, defeating the purpose. The other issue is they don’t have all good items. I wanted the 2 snack size breakfast wraps instead of the full size wrap, but that wasn’t an option on the app. I had to ask them in store to swap it out so slightly overpaid based on what I got. And the rewards program is too restrictive. No bagels? Why? Needs improvement.

Loading Tim Card fails. Mobile order fails.. Last few weeks have had ongoing issues with loading Tim Card as well as using app in general to place an order. Pops up with error loading card balance or error with credit card information, and card doesn’t get loaded. My credit card shows the charge as pending. Reported about 2 weeks ago through app. They acknowledged the problem and said they were working on it, but it has been a problem for almost 3 weeks now.
