No audio. Since the audio is broken, the majority of the material is useless. Great app concept and mission, but the actual app is completely ineffective in delivering. Hopefully this issue is fixed soon; however, the developers haven't updated or fixed any bugs since the app was released.

Here here with newcrossfitter's review!. Love the app and how much it's helping me daily. But on a technical level there is that program glitch where even if I answer a text in the top down menu, the app acts like I closed it and have to start over that day. Also if I'm watching the video for the day in the app, as the app thinks I've closed it, at the same time the video is still going on in the background even though the app acts like I never started the video in the first place. Apart from that I'm loving this app!

Video Trouble. I am unable to pull up the videos. When I click on "next" to watch the video it goes to a blank page with only the word "next" on it We wish it was more private too

Really Good App. This app is a really good app. It is been beneficial! The only reason it doesn't have five stars is that for the last five lessons they would not load properly.

I like the app so far. It is helping me tremendously.. Like I said I like the app but the videos are restricted in the covenant eyes mobile browser. I have gone to my account and tried to allow Vimeo and then refreshed both the browsers. It works on my computer but not my phone.

WHERE ARE THE ACTION STEPS???. There are supposed to be videos with this but beginning on day 2 like others have said, they don't exist. Gosh covenant eyes team can we please get something right? Your browser costs more than any other and crashes incessantly (others are free and get it right) and this app lacks the substance that is supposed to make the app. Seriously guys huge miss here.

Great idea, app needs some work. Love the idea of this but they should have tested more. Hope an update comes soon to fix the video issues *update* Emailed support and they fixed the video issues. Delete the app and reinstall fixed it. Changing to 4 stars. Still needs some polishing and fixing minor bugs. To the other reviewers concerned about privacy, the data is only stored locally. When I reinstalled it I had to start over and it didn't sync from a server

Highly Recommend. This is a great app for someone struggling porn or lust! The articles are so helpful and convicting because this app is targeted at changing the person biblically, not just the behavior. Very well done!

Loading. Cannot get day 18 to load, I’ve tried numerous times, closed out the app, deleted and downloaded again, will not load! Great material and I wish I could read it...😢

Great for recovering from porn. I’ve struggled with porn for a very long time. I still do but this app is really helping me to stay away from porn and it’s very informative.

Great content but it just stops loading. The content is awesome and it is great to help overcome this issue, BUT the articles stopped loading 19 days in. Please fix this!!

Not updated, boring UI, Waste of Money. Downloaded. Opened. It was like I went back to the iPhone 1. All you do is click through some prompts. I use the browser. It is terrible as well but I use it because it is the best out there. Covenant I love you guys but you are far far behind. Even the new screen accountability isn’t hitting the mark. We need an updated browser one that works well. We want to use you and you help us but please work to keep up with the times.

No video. Wow guys. I trust you as a service but when the whole app is based on videos and they don't work for everyone that is a big lapse in debugging. Fix it or change the guy who was in charge of that.

No sound from the videos. Everything is great but the main lesson from the video cannot be taught because there is NO SOUND in the video. Please fix this.

Loading. I can’t get any of the content to load on my iPhone. It worked great 20 days ago but now it’s not working. I was really enjoying the content and learning.

Good data, app needs work. Glad they made this app, but next version needs to improve on some big bugs. 1) navigating away from app (like changing screen brightness or typing notes in another app) causes it to start over on the entire day. 2) videos don’t have sound, so I have to copy the link and play elsewhere 3) passcode lock page has “forgot password” link that blocks the 0 button 4) need iPad compatibility because it’s easier to read on a larger screen 5) allow split screen in iPad so I can take notes in a separate app on the same screen. Good things A) great content from a variety of sources B) good daily self-ranking system C) passcode lock is nice

Good idea, bad execution. This app was a good idea. For anyone struggling with purity, this could have been a good tool for logging progress in fighting temptation. But it's marred by flaws and missed opportunities. There is no reminder from day to day. If you somehow missed a day, it's not going to tell you. It simply picks up on the next day even if it has been three days since you last opened it. A daily popup reminder would have been helpful. Also, the videos it tells you to watch have never worked. I've unloaded and reinstalled to no avail. I paid money for this app and I'm very disappointed.

Change the App name. What a horrific name to name an app for people trying to break this addiction.

Super encouraging app. It is great to finally have this in app form. I went through the original 40 day challenge and it was very powerful, encouraging and helped lead me to victory!! Looking forward to using this on my phone as a daily reminder and encouragement!

Not Bad. Overall, app is not bad but missing a huge part of the program. The videos that follow the "Action Step" are not there. This page simply reads "Next" with a button to get you to the next page. Everything else works great but this is a very big source of info that is important in the recovery process.

Needs some major fixes. Encouraged to have this as a resource, it's just that the videos don't load or display. Needs to be fixed especially since this app is paid for.

Disappointing. My feedback is the same as virtually everyone else's. Starting on day 2, the video isn't available. I deleted the app and reinstalled it as one reviewer suggested and now the video works but there isn't any audio. Also, none of the links work. Please send an email to everyone that registered when there is a version of this app that works. I wouldn't recommend this app to anyone until they post an updated version that works.

Amazing Tool. This is an amazing tool for anyone struggling with pornography. It’s user friendly and very informative!

Bit disappointed. Good idea for an app that I'm sure many need to participate in. My problem is that it's incomplete. Most of each day's lesson is wrapped up in a video I need to watch, but there is no imbedded video to watch. Most days I'm required to say what I most learned when I could never even watch the video. Either this really needs to be fixed, or people will have to be let down once again by a Chance of hope for freedom.

It has some potential to be good. But there’s still loop holes and it offers a video that doesn’t play most of the time and offers more material you can buy, than actual in app material that I paid for.

Concerned user. Seemingly good concept. Frustratingly useless. Read numerous bad reviews. Had similar problems. Over the past month have uninstalled and reinstalled this app more than half a dozen times to no avail. When I manage to get past the first video I can get no further. There seems to be no intention of correcting this problem. Pathetic tech support. I have given up.

Too biased. Cool if you’re deeply religious I guess but for anyone who wants to avoid porn for personal reasons and isn’t religious or Christian won’t find value in this app. It’s 50% spiritual text and teachings and the rest are articles they have little to no scientific basis. I like the idea of a free app for help but I’d rather pay for something that’s actually rooted in reality.

Thanks for the update!. I’ve enjoyed this app for over a year, go back and doing the challenges again just to keep the information in the front of my mind. I noticed that a lot of the content has been refreshed, and some old links that didn’t work have been replaced. I really appreciate the ease of use and simplicity with the app. It’s a great conversation starter with the people that hold me accountable. And a wonderful resource I can share with others! Articles are not showing up. This app is wonderful. I've been using it for about 3 weeks. However as I've gotten to day 16, 17 the articles stopped showing up. I'm assuming there is a glitch in the app. Can someone please fix this issues as soon as possible?

Great app... but. The recent update won't let me view any of the content within each days reading. It's just blank.

Had trouble at first. I had trouble watching videos but after I deleted and reinstalled app all is good now. Day 4 and going strong. Thanks.

How to better the app. It would be better to link the app with notifications. That way it asks you at night how your day has gone. How have you excelled today to stay on track. Also as a daily wrap up it would be good to give you a daily scripture to wrap up the lesson. If the app could be updated with those things it would be better.

Best tool I’ve had to help me “Overcome”. This app is such an amazing tool to help someone struggling with pornography. It’s simple and easy to understand, but it gets the point across that you need to stop. And it gives you so many tools and ideas to help you do that. This app helped to change my life. My relationship with Christ is so much closer than it was 40 days ago! I pray that I will continue to use the principles that were taught to me over the past 40 days. Just a note to the covenant eyes guys who work on this app: it worked perfectly for me right up until the very end. But after I finished the 40th day, I could no longer review all of my assessment results. It’s stuck on days 1-7 and I can’t view the rest of them. But other than that, the app worked great!

Buggy. Wait till its fixed.. Sadly this app has great potential but since I bought it I've had to search online for the videos they tell you to watch. Then day 5 comes and I can't find the video. I read other reviews saying that the video appears. Not on my phone. Contacted them a few days ago. No real response yet. Patiently waiting but as someone who already pays for covenant eyes this should be free to members. Just saying.

Great App for anyone Struggling. I used this app to quit and it was one of the biggest things in helping me. I 100% recommend to anyone battling with lust.

Account Creation Required. OK, I am still going to give this a shot, but I am turned off by the fact that immediately they need me to create an account with an e-mail. That means that this most personal of battles is stored on their servers. Great. (Not.) It looks like they include inviting an accountability partner as part of this, so I guess they intend someone else to be accessing your data in an attempt to support you. I’m disappointed that this app is not private. I would not have paid the cost had I known that it was not private. I may still give it a shot - but this account creation stuff - and storing stuff on the developer’s servers should be optional - not required. Also, the links in lesson 1 (such as “what makes a good accountability partner”, “what partners will see on your reports”, and “invite a new partner”) all fail. I click - nothing happens. Was this app ready to be released?

Solid material -app needs work. This app is packed with great material that is very useful in battling porn. But the app need some work. 1. I appreciate that there is a passcode to access it but every time you leave the app it restarts to the beginning of the day. It would be nice for it to remember where you were when you left the app. 2. At a certain point the material stops loading. I reinstalled the app and after day 18 I had to start all over. 3. Some of the articles are very long. This combined with having to start over every time you leave the app or the phone goes to sleep can make it frustrating. I feel that I was doing very well with my battle, I was built up and getting stronger but when the app started having issues I stopped reading and started to slip on my battle. PLEASE MAKE THESE FIXES, YOU HAVE GREAT CONTENT! WE ALL NEED IT BUT THE TECHNICAL SIDE NEEDS WORK FOR IT TO BE REALLY USEFUL.

Still can't hear sound on the videos. Hey guys! So glad you're doing this but this is not good for you to try to help guys & then not have the tech support to come through. I've emailed you twice to tell you there is no sound when I play the videos on IOS (iPhone 6). So, either fix it or give us the text of the videos to read. In fact, I'd rather read than watch a video. I deleted the app & downloaded it again. The videos appear but still can't hear it. I'd like to share this with other men but want to make sure it works first.

Great concept .... But the different days action information doesn't always show up. I want this to work but it needs some tweaking.

Missing videos. Try searching Covenant Eyes on Vimeo. Missing videos in the app have the same titles as on Vimeo.

This app was not ready to launch. Lots of glitches and the videos don't work. This app was not ready to launch and I need my money back. This is very unfortunate as I was hopping to use this as a discipleship tool.

A Good Start But Needs Huge Improvements. Overall the intention behind this app is noble and great. However the following issues stand out: - not having a consistent notification alert on daily reminders to do this - not having a way of linking to an accountability partner through the app via email for interaction and alerts when the person is having a challenging day - the app is not at all linked to an actual calendar system that starts synchronizing/counting days when you start it All these huge flaws make for a very poor paid app. If these improvements were made I would definitely give it more stars than what I have. It should be fairly easy to make those changes in this day and age. Let's hope CE gets on top of it sooner rather than later. Those improvements would send this app over the top.

Quick response on fixing glitches. As soon as this was available I downloaded it. When I ran into problems with accessing the videos (as mentioned by others here) I thought of writing a review but contacted Covenant Eyes by email instead. I was encouraged to see this addressed so quickly. I had a few problems downloading the update so I deleted my app and reloaded it. Since that time, everything works like a charm! So far, the content looks EXCELLENT. I look forward to using the app to assist me in practical and biblical ways as as I do battle with sin and it's corrosive power in my life. I hope and pray that it will continue to have a positive effect for others as well since Covenant Eyes has a long-standing track record of being a solid force for purity and the glory of God in the church. SDG I am upgrading my rating to 5 stars since my original review. I've gone through the entire 40 days and consider the program to be outstanding. I have recommended it to others and am actually go through it again along with someone else to whom I recommended the challenge. The people at Covenant Eyes have been responsive to my input (& input from others, I'm sure) and have made some improvements in little glitches that were present at first. Really, all I can say is that if you go through the program, you'll find yourself much better equipped to deal with temptations as the Holy Spirit uses the biblical teaching, practical insights, testimonies, scientific knowledge, etc. to renew your mind and your heart. This might sound silly but the little app icon on your phone (or iPad - which I use) is an unassuming notepad with "40" on it and the word "Overcome" underneath - so it doesn't have the word "Porn" broadcasting your struggle to someone who is looking over your shoulder at your phone. One caveat: It took me longer than 40 days to go through it because some of the material was so good - and somewhat lengthy - that I didn't want to miss it by just breezing through it. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is struggling with the ubiquitous temptation of Internet pornography. Thank you, Covenant Eyes.

No videos. There are action plans the require you to view a video.... Well the video is never there. Developers please fix this bug. I would like to use the app more often but seems useless if I can view the video that is required for the lesson of the day. Thanks Peace and Love!!

No videos. No videos available for the action step. This is crucial. Without the videos this app is really not that good. So fix this and then it won't feel like I wasted my money. I'll even change my review.

Audio Does Not work for videos. The content is amazing and saved my life. I can’t recommend this enough. But to watch the videos you have to have headphones (which still has some places where audio drops) or open the video in YouTube or Vimeo to hear it.

Great Concept, Video Problems. Very encouraging app, yes. But the internal videos are not coming up for me- a pretty big problem in the app.

Please fix. I love this app. It’s been a great growth opportunity. What I don’t like however, is that every time you back out of the app on the iPhone to do something else for a second, when you go back it backs you all the way out to the front and you have to go back in and you lose your spot in the reading. I don’t necessarily mind typing in the code every time but I think it should stay where you were at in the readings instead of putting you back to the first page before you even open the reading. Can this be fixed?
