Best game series I’ve EVER played. An interesting, eerie storyline mixed with a perfect balance of challenging, thought provoking puzzles makes these games hard to put down! I haven’t been able to find any dutiable replacements for them since finishing everything they’ve put out so far. 10/10 worth the $3 or so it costs.

Absolutely engrossing!. Intricate artwork, dark yet mesmerizing storytelling technique. Love everything about this game. I started playing cube escape seasons and found myself obsessed with it. I finished playing all the cube escape games and then bought this gem along with rusty lake roots, which is even better. Highly recommended. Side note: would love to see a movie or a tv show made on this.

Amazing game. I found rusty lake in the cube escape series thinking it would be just one of those basic escape rooms, but boy I was wrong. Rusty lake combines puzzles, a little bit of horror, and mystery. These games are so fun to play and I can’t wait for the new one to come out. Thank you Rusty lake for making these games that are amazing.

Pretty good, but not sure it is worth the money. First of all, the fact that you cannot reset individual s croons of this game is extremely irritating, I had to start over three or four times to get all of the stars. That being said: This game gives some interesting background to the other Rusty Lake games, but it is not much longer than some of the free ones (yet it costs). It also seemed a bit repetitive. Still a good game, I enjoyed playing it, just not up to Rusty Lake’s usual standard.

Take my money!. I am addicted to these games! Never been so satisfied by something that cost this little. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve played these games. I’ve played the hotel game at least 20 times! It’s so calming and relaxing to work these puzzles out. Most of all the music and voice actors they use just put you in a relaxed state that some time you forget you are playing a game. Absolutely love Rusty Lake and highly recommend you play their games. Amazing story tellers! I will be waiting anxiously for whatever comes next.

First Rusty Lake fail. I am a big fan of the Rusty Lake puzzles, but Hotel is the first "premium" game I tried / paid for, and unfortunately the first with a significant bug. I solved the first room, Mr Deer, without any trouble, but I missed the rosemary and didn't realize that it would affect the number of stars earned. (Suggestion: instead of calling ingredients "optional" maybe let players know that it's desirable by adding a star on the menu page.) I reset the game so I could go back and get the rosemary - the game restarted but then will not progress beyond the opening sequence and The Lobby. I tried resetting several times, even deleted and reinstalled the app, but the same problem every time - the game is stuck in the opening Lobby. I deliver the local delicacy to the guests, and then - nothing. The phone doesn't ring and the game will not progress. And no way to get help from the developer, unless I leave a negative review like this. I regret buying this game.

Annoying to Reset. I found it frustrating to have to reset or replay to get all the optional ingredients if not properly found (e.g. blackberries on pigeon level). Couldn’t seem to get them after chick was released. Should be able to reset a specific level without having to restart from the beginning. Should have option to always find what’s needed before leaving room. On iPad it automatically left room once meat was found. No point in having exit door if you can’t use it. Puzzles were good though.

Immensely enjoy every puzzle!. I’ve been playing these games online for years, and only recently ran into this game. It’s absolutely fantastic! I love that you can complete the game and go back and replay to find all the stuff you missed the first time! Not gonna lie, I need to look up walkthroughs every single time. I think that says a lot about how great these puzzles are. How you have to think outside the “cube.”

okay?. I appreciate the weird atmosphere of this game but also don't like it to an extent. I don't play these games to go around murdering "people" (or animals) just for the heck of it. That whole concept bugs me. I like the horror genre, in general, but prefer to be the one solving the crimes/catching the killer and not the one committing them. The game is interesting and challenging though I agree with one reviewer who said they prefer logical puzzles and a good number of these aren't at all logical. So, in essence, it's a pretty good game but not one I can recommend due to its skewed perspective.

Good but can use improvement. I love all the Rusty Lake games, and this was no exception. The graphics, the storyline, the eerie and macabre feel—these are all amazing. However, there are no opportunities to restart just the level, so if you make an irreversible mistake you will have to redo the entire game. In conclusion, Rusty Lake Hotel can be frustrating and annoying at times, but it is far from a waste of your money.

Rusty Lake rocks!. Just discovered the Rusty Lake games earlier this week. SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY! I’ve purchased all three of the premium games and downloaded all the cube escapes. I normally don’t pay for games, but after trying the (free) cube series I handed over cash for the rest. Absolutely love these. Creepy, bizarre, mysterious, fun, infuriating, the art is amazing... I haven’t had so much fun wasting time in longer than I can remember. 😆

Surreal logic puzzles. I've enjoyed the Cube escape games (even the very short ones - they «were» free), and this installment of the Rusty Lakes mystery was the best so far! They all have very strange, dreamlike, at times spooky and/or creepy, Twin Peaks inspired elements, some dark humor, and great puzzles. This one in particular had a nice balance, and the quest to get perfect meals adds replay value (a couple of the ingredients are somewhat difficult - but I was able to get them all. See end of my review for a vague hint). Definitely unsettling (I'm glad I'm a vegetarian), and I'm still befuddled as to exactly what's going on in the series, though I've followed the order of the games from their website), I can't wait to explore the next games of Rusty Lake. [ingredient hints: sometimes you have to do something more than once. Also, the king does not amount to one, that owl might be hiding something! Shocking that poor chick made me want to throw up. Good luck!]. ;)

Amazing puzzle with a story and a horror addition. I could say this for every rusty lake game but this is amazing I’d say I did cheat using the walkthroughs but even with the help this is still an amazing game none the less. I also have to add on that I am very young and even I enjoy these game, I will be recommending this to more of my friends and family,

INCREDIBLE AS USUAL ❤️❤️💛💘. At first I was hesitant to buy this game, I worried that it wouldn't be worth the money, but it proved to be an incredible game. I spent around four hours finishing it and it's definitely worth the money because it keeps you busy and it's so interesting. I was never bored, it's a fantastic game and keeps your mind working. I've played every single Rusty Lake game, and they've never disappointed me once. I love the little elements of horror sprinkled in. What perfection. The voices, the graphics, the soundtrack, the characters, the storyline. All your games are so artfully crafted. The mystery of rusty lake is an incredibly interesting one and this game was just another great addition to the collection. I want to say keep up the good work to all the people working on these games because they're just amazing and probably the best thing I've ever played, so good job on that. I love you guys!💓💞💕

Challenging. This game is challenging and a ton of fun. When you get stuck you can check the walkthroughs, so it makes it that much better. This is the second Rusty Lake I’ve completed, and it’s as fun and challenging as Paradise. The dark humor and gruesome effects make it all the more delicious. And the music and voice work is perfect!

Excellent, demented, and originally. A little less involved than the equally magnificent Rusty Lake Roots, but every bit as well done and engaging. Perhaps I should say "engrossing", because there's plenty of gross to be found in the game. The twisted, ghastly imagery and devilish puzzles transport the player into a dark series of nightmarish vignettes. The puzzles range from relatively straightforward, to bizarre yet somehow logical. You'll have to think way, way outside the box here, and it helps to keep a sharp eye for details along the way. I've completed every one of the related Cube Escape games, Rusty Lake Roots, the hotel and the mill. Looking forward to the next game, well worth every cent.

Eerily Fun!. The Rusty Like Hotel game was fun and a bit challenging at times...and definitely intriguing! The puzzles were a bit tricky but not crazy, just enough to make you think and have to work a bit. I loved the creepy music and subtle effects...but that boar and his sandwiches was a bit disgusting. I liked this game and I look forward to playing more like this.

Tedious isn’t more challenging.. I loved the 10 Cube Escape games. Everything about them. I was expecting more of the same and happily paid for Hotel, but the developers made some design decisions that simply make the gameplay tedious and more time consuming, but not necessarily more challenging. It’s frustrating to know what you need to do and ultimately realize you didn’t do it “enough” times. Or to have to reset the game to backtrack. I can appreciate the need to evolve their style but this is nowhere near as good as the free games.

One of the most compelling games/series I've ever played. And its so hard to rate each game separately, as they all feel as 'one' and are all brilliant in their own way...I love the weirdness, the horror, the creepiness, the characters, the creative puzzles, the story reveals, etc. etc.....this game/series is something very special and everyone should at least give it a try...their earlier games are FREE to try out and see if it's your cup of tea..but I'm betting most won't be able to put it down and want to keep discovering more about the mystery of rusty lake....that's exactly what happened to me and here I am having downloaded all their games which includes buying the premium new ones which are well worth the price with the longer stories. My only regret is I didn't get on board with this thing sooner! An absolute mind-bending masterpiece. David Lynch would be proud.

Bugs and redo. I loved the Rusty Lake Roots, so I bought this one without reading reviews - big mistake. Like others have said, it’s not worth the money...for the same reasons others have said. Problem 1: You cannot reset a level/room, only the entire game. Why is that a big deal? Well, let me introduce you to Problem 2: If you don’t complete the puzzles in the precisely correct order, the game won’t let you beat the level/room. So, basically, the thing that makes these puzzle games fun is the trial and error of working the puzzle until you figure it out - but in this game, if you don’t do it right the first time, you can’t ever solve it and you have to reset the entire game. So, that leads to Problem 3: in the first level/room of Mr. Deer, if you don’t figure out catching the moth the first time...you have to reset. In the second level/room of Mr. Rabbit, if you don’t figure out the cup puzzle, you have to rest the whole game which means you have to redo the intro, Mr Deer, AND everything you already did in Mr. Rabbit’s room. Then, there is Problem 4: there is a bug in Mr Rabbits room - the cup puzzle will not give me the eyes - and I’ve reset 4 times!!!! Oh, and you won’t know you’ve done a puzzle wrong until you watch the walk through...stupid.

Redoing rooms is confusing. If you miss a clue and do the rooms out of order it seemed there is no way to recover and get all the stars unless you restart from the beginning, but you added the ability to replay a room. It’s confusing, however, when you get an "optional" ingredient and it says “it’s too late”. It seems like it ignores the ingredient but it actually adds it to the recipe and appears if you redo that room. You should change that message and flow to show that it is saved and you can use it to redo the room.

Only frustration of the game. I love the Rusty Lake games, but now I see the frustration expressed in another comment. The optional stars require things done in a certain order; otherwise you must reset. The developer responded with this was inaccurate, but I’m not sure it is entirely inaccurate. (Spoiler alert) If I went from carrot to Room 1, I wouldn’t be able to get 3 stars, if in Mr. Rabbit I used the knife on the hand not Mr Owl’s forehead, I miss an item. I hope I phrased that in a way that it doesn’t ruin the experience for someone else. I love the games but it is annoying having to reset the entire game, rather than just resetting the specific day. I’ll keep trying and hopefully I’m wrong.

Fast, fun, and a little messed up. Welcome to Rusty Lake Hotel. Five dinners will be served to our guests and you're in charge of making sure each meal is worth dying for. You're sent to help gather the ingredients for each meal and notice the meat required happens to correspond with one of the 5 guests each night. Solve puzzles, riddles and search for clues in order to gain the proper tools to "gather fresh meat" from the guests. I heard about this game on the CoOptional Podcast. When Dodger described the premise, I immediately knew I needed to play it. This game did not disappoint. It is well worth the money and I'm intrigued to find out its part of a series of games which are free to play. If you like slightly creepy, macabre things and enjoy puzzles, pick up this game and give it a go. You won't regret it.

Awesome games!. I’ve played all of these games in chronological order. The free ones are short, the chapters you have to pay for are much longer. They’re worth purchasing. Do yourself a favor if you like creepy, interesting puzzle games. Buy and download all of the chapters, Google the chronological order of these games, and play them in order. I can’t wait for more chapters to be released!

Missed it by ONE star, dang it!. Lotta fun, very odd, and very enjoyable. I watched Twin Peaks when it was broadcast in the '80s and loved it, and the surreality (and the music for sure) of these games is very reminiscent. I've been playing them in order. Very much looking forward to Roots (heard its great), but Birthday is next! This one was certainly one of my faves. The length is better, and much more fun than the cube limitation. (I was least impressed with Harvey's Box) Keep up the good work! And btw, I've paid a lot of money for games I didn't enjoy even a fraction of these, so please don't worry about charging money for your work! You guys deserve to be well compensated!

I’ve liked the others.... This one is non-sensical in terms of some of the ingredients. You have to just get lucky by not solving the puzzles quickly and instead wasting time doing things aimlessly hoping something works (like the tomatoes or blackberries). Also annoying is having to restart from the beginning if you miss something (like putting the knife in the ... as opposed to the ... first). If it weren’t for these issues, I’d have enjoyed it as much as the others. As it stands, it’s pretty frustrating.

THESE TYPE GAMES DONE Right. Love the style,music,and creepy theme of all the rusty lake games..always interesting ,always a bit twisted,and always fun to play..the puzzles are challenging and interesting without being utterly impossible or leaving out necessary information..so many games in this genre mess up the puzzles..love your games..your games should be a template for how these games are made..I WANT MORE!!!

Worth every penny. If you like point-and-click puzzlers or room escape games, this is one of the best in the App Store. There are some mild horror elements, but if you've played the free Cube Escape series from these developers you'll know the levels of violence that you can expect. (And if you haven't played them, you really should. They're all phenomenal.) As always the artwork is lovely, the soundtrack and voice acting are perfect and add to the experience rather than distracting from it. There are one or two puzzles that really take some logical leaps (the deer in the hat?) but there are countless free walkthroughs online if you really get stuck. If you don't catch everything the first time through you can replay it to get a better result, with a prize that can be used in another game. I can't recommend this game, and everything in this series, highly enough!

I absolutely love these games!. All of the cube escape games are fantastic. They all kind of go together so I recommend playing all of the other episodes as well. They're a little creepy and difficult to solve at times but I find the challenge very fun. I hope they continue to make more episodes!

Exactly the kind of game I love!!!. I haven’t enjoyed most games I’ve tried over the years. I longed for something that transported me to another place, like one of my favorite games of all time, MYST. Rusty Lake Hotel is just awesome!!! There are a few Easter eggs too, so you can play the game more than once.

Rusty Lake games sets the “escape the room” bar. If you are a fan of escape the room type games, rusty lake literally sets the bar for them, they’re far and away the best of the genre, I have yet to find anything close to as good, they’re challenging yet you always feel like you’re moving forward, rather than just staring at the same screen for 20 min trying to tap on the same things in frustration. I would recommend these to anyone.

fun, but incredibly frustrating. I love the rusty lake series and I have for years, and while this game has good puzzles it also manages to be my least favorite game in the series. Don’t get me wrong, it’s very fun, but it’s also incredibly infuriating that if you do things in the wrong order (with no indication of what the right order is) then you lose the possibility of getting all three stars on a recipe. I end up just being frustrated, because I have to restart the whole game just because I forgot one tiny little thing—I have Mr Deer’s room just about memorized because of it. This could easily be fixed by just allowing the replay of the current room, instead of needing to replay the whole game.

This one is harder, but just replay it!. Finding those third ingredients are tricky, second run and I still missed one or two of them. I wished I could go back into the room when I realized I did the deed, but didn’t find everything I needed (no spoilers!) Still love the dark, sinister, random logics of all the Rusty Lake games. Keep them coming! Like I’ve mention e in previous reviews (all written today after my second play on a larger iPad); I wish there was a way to go back in for more achievements like in Roots. Thank you!

Need to be able reset singular levels instead the entire game!. In some levels, like the second, items are required twice but can only be used once. For example, in the second level, if you use the knife on the hand to get the ring without first getting the white beans, because it’s not obvious at first sight, then you have to reset the entire game. Part of the fun of the other games is the trial and error. It becomes tedious to have to replay entire levels for the sake of perfect scores.

Can’t progress in Mr. Rabbit’s room. I cannot for the life of me get the key from his mouth. I’m clicking on his head over and over and it’s just not popping out. I can’t go any further in the game without the key. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but if this is a bug, I’d like to know how to get around it. I’m going to try to redo this room but I have a feeling I’m going to have to redo the whole game. :(

Moth Bug. First night with Mr Deer you need to catch the moth with a glass jar. I know this because I had to lookup a walkthrough after 30 minutes of clicking everything on the screen. (That’s the main problem with this genre of games) No matter how fast I try to be, the moth always flies away the moment I press the window to “zoom in” on it. This leaves me unable to catch the moth, meaning unable to go any further. Nothing like trying to digress at the end of the day, only to have a small mobile game slightly stress you out.

Very fun, room for error. I enjoyed this game a lot. I thought the concept was very creative and all the rusty lake games impress me as a whole. However I didn't like how you can progress and follow through the game and still miss some things. You can redo rooms but can't go back to some lobby objectives that were missed. Even so, it's hard to be certain an ingredient missed will be found redoing a particular room.

One Big Problem. I have played most of the Rusty Lake games and I have loved all of them and that includes this one. The thing is that there is one thing that is starting to REALLY annoy me. I’d you want all three stars you need to get all three of the ingredients. That isn’t the problem though. The problem is that if you miss something such as the white wine or blueberries you have to restart the WHOLE GAME. I am only on the first game and I’ve had to restart 4 times. At this point it ain’t even enjoyable having to go through rooms you’ve already done 3 times. It is a really good game but this problem is infuriating and I wish there was a way to go back to a certain point or even just reset one room and not the whole game.

Best. Games. Ever.. I can’t even begin to describe the mind blowing wonderful joy of these games. I’ve played all of them, gifted them to friends and family, and they’ve seriously blown every single other game/app out of the water. The creativity of these designers is insane. My only complaint: there aren’t enough stories! My life feels incomplete now that I’ve done them all. Please please please keep making more of them!! I could rave for days, but this should get my point across. You will not regret purchasing these.

This is the best game I have ever experienced. My grandpa and grandma showed me this game when I was a 5 ik this game is for 12 and over but I couldn’t help myself or it. Even since that day I have been playing by ur games like crazy and I am still in love, tho I have had to restart the games many times I will never get tired of these games. I will hope to continue my love and respect for your guys games and hope to see more in the future!

Thoroughly enjoyed myself. I did have to play two times through to get the correct order… however I found this to be the perfect level of challenging! There were areas that stumped me but were not impossible to figure out!

Got terrified, but it was my fault. I don’t normally leave reviews on games, but I feel like this one deserved it. This game was amazing (hence the five stars). But, I was kind of horrified at the same time. I’d played the whole cube escape series (including the paid chapter of paradox) and I thought this would be no different. Little did I know, the entire thing was about murder. I don’t regret my play through, but I was pretty uncomfortable. I do understand that these games are of the horror genre, and will look into it further next time. Overall great game though.

Great game, a bit short. Love the plot line, the music and graphics. It is slightly short to me, however to get all the stars usually need to play 2 times. My favorite part is the FOOD! I don’t know why but when the frog is cooking and the dinners come out, they look so delicious to me, and I was thinking of getting actual recipes for those......

Not as good as the free games. I’ve played all the free games so finally tried this paid game. While I think the game is worth the small cost, it’s somewhat disappointing. The logic puzzles in “hotel” seem simpler and more straightforward than in the free games. What’s frustrating is how much the ordering of events is relevant to getting a top score. The result is that beating the game involves a lot of rote repetition to order your actions optimally. This makes the game last longer but at a cost of tedium, particularly because the ordering is arbitrary and not clued in any way. In particular there’s at least one instance (2nd guest meal if done in correct order) where an item is required twice in order to get a perfect score - but one of the two actions makes the item unusable. So those two actions have to be done twice, for no reason other than arbitrary choice. (If the item remaine available to be picked up again, ordering wouldn’t matter.)

One of my favorites. I’m a 33 year old mom and don’t usually play games on my phone, but Samsara Room happened to come across recommendations in the App Store and my kid was asleep so figured why not. I’ve now played almost every single game Rusty Lake offers, including the ones that cost money. This one is probably close to my favorite in the collection. I love the different rooms for the characters. This was also probably one of the hardest in the collection, but not hard enough to give in! This game is simply brilliant. Please keep the games in this series coming, I will keep playing!

Huge fan of rusty lake. I’m new to rusty lake but have steadily played through the free games and roots and have just loved them. This one I didn’t finish. It’s a bit different than their other games which can be nice but it wasn’t my favorite. I’ll try and come try again. Given how much I’ve enjoyed the other games I’m not mad at all over paying for this one.

Superb. I love these style games. If you are at all on the fence and haven’t played the free cube games by the same developer go get them. It’s risk free, see if you dig their style. Try to play them in chronological order so it makes semi sense. The puzzles in this game were maybe a little easier than some games I’ve played. It they were creative and not repetitive. The story that goes with the game is fun too. Glad I found these

Amazing. I bought this after I finished all the free games, and let me just say that at the end of the game, I truly had a jaw dropping moment. This game definitely kept me entertained and wanting more. The only piece of criticism I have is that I wish it was longer. I finished the game in less than a day and found it to be at about the same level as Case 23. But, if I had to choose a game to pay for, it would've been this one.

Great game for a cold night. It took a minute to get the hang of it, but once I did it was a lot of fun. It can be tricky in places, but all puzzles games do that. :) I thought is was hilarious, and sometimes rough to execute (pun intended) the tasks for this game. Absolutely worth the $1 I paid for an evening of creepy, eerie fun. Rusty Lake - please keep them coming! I love your games, and I’ve had nightmares every night after playing them, which I’m okay with (my dreams are usually pretty boring). Thank you!

Kazylady2. These games are fun. I wish they lasted longer. Or there were more of them. Some parts don’t exactly just make sense right away but if you keep trying everything you have found eventually you can figure them out. If not there are always walkthroughs to get you past a part you can’t figure out.

Absolutely brilliant!. Cannot rate this highly enough. So engaging. Think 'Agent A' or the Room Escape series. The wonderfully macabre sense of humour makes it a cut above.

Just to the point!. Nice game, haven't enjoyed any game like this for a long time! I didn't make my decision to buy this "hotel" one until I finished all of the "Cube Escape" free series. ( Yes, free game and no further purchase in the app. Yeah~) And they are designed elaborately and creatively. Honestly I'm not a big fun of the darkness style. But this series still caught me by their stories which call for each others. So I wonder what they can do better in a charged game? And yes. It is more delicate. Playing this game is like stepping into an Agatha Christie novel. I have played three times and still love it. Looking forward new games from this series!

Most frustrating and rewarding. There are no other games like these. Some of the puzzles seem absolutely impossible. Until you figure them out of course! SO clever and ingenious and really makes you think outside of the box. I’m absolutely obsessed with this series of games and have played them all. One game I won’t hesitate to pay for. Great game, worth the money!!. I'm a big fan of the Rusty Lake series, and this one is absolutely as surrealy creepy and interesting just like the other ones. The puzzles are hard but not impossible, kept me entertained for 2-3 hours. The only improvement I could suggest for this game is that it's a little too open-ended to be continued kind of ending. I was so invested and wanted the ending to have a kind of closure somehow. Great game nonetheless!

really hard. the 5th room is so hard i can’t even beat it with a tutorial also I don’t like how you can’t leave the room unless you beat the room the game is pretty good anyways

Playing again for the 10th time because it’s so good.. Episode 7 in the Rusty Lake series. Recommend playing in order of release to follow the twisted but strong storyline and understand the puzzles a bit better. I

Worth the money. Does not matter where you start in these games they all have a great narrative and can be easily played.

Always good. I’ve been playing rusty lake games since they were point and clicks on kongregate. This one is a little more frustrating than the others because of longer transition screens, and it’d be great to be able to go back and re-do one room only to get my stars, but I still really enjoyed it!

Option Ingredients. What I don't like is that the game boots you out of the room as soon as you succeed instead of giving you the chance to look around for optional ingredients. There's a door to exit why force us? I stopped playing because of this as I didn't want to have to reset all my progress just coz of this silly bug.

Good but not great. I finished all of the free cube game series and decided to buy this one, with the intention of buying the other premium ones as well. While Rusty Lake Hotel has the hallmark of the Cube games and the puzzles are good, I felt that some of the free ones were better, like seasons, paradox. Better in terms of being more challenging. I had expected the paid one to be a little bit more I guess.

you amaze me. I am in love with these games. I have played them all. Please please keep making the cube escapes. I am utterly OBSESSED and no other escape games can possibly be as good. good gameplay but many bugs. The gameplay and story are great, but I’m getting seriously frustrated at the fact that theres no option to just restart a single level. the game doesn’t force you (or even hint sometimes) to do things in the correct order, so if you don’t you have no choice but to start all the way from the beginning. not to mention items disappear from my inventory when I leave the app for a bit, which means I have to restart AGAIN just to get those items back and advance to the next level. I feel like giving up at this point, I’m only on the third room and I’ve already restarted three times. please fix this.

Excellent game. This game has a lot of character!

Creepy & original. This game is a spooky point and click puzzle game that's haunting and original. It's very unusual yet the puzzles are engrossing and not too difficult to solve. Finished in about 2 hours but well worth the price. Spooky storyline and spooky music. Definitely 5/5 stars. No crashing or lagging whatsoever. Everything was smooth. :) now onto the sequel!!

Pass on this garbage. Download The Silent Age and then you'll appreciate a good point and click adventure game.

I really enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the puzzles and I really like how its mysterious like the other games.

Disturbing. Overall this is a pretty good game; the premise is quite unsettling, though, and it’s much more gruesome than most Rusty Lake games. The puzzles are nice, but sometimes it isn’t super clear what you’re supposed to do. That said, it’s still a great, eerie game worth playing.

Incredible game. The idea of these rusty lake games are so unique. I'm loving rusty lake hotel so far and don't find any issues yet. I just keep getting more and more curious as the story progresses. This game definitely doesn't have the same feel as the cube escape games on the interest level but it's a cool new idea for sure.

Good. I love Rusty Lake games. I think they are the best escape games out there. But this was my first paid game and it wasn’t very much different from the free games. Overall a lot of fun, and I’m happy to support the team but I would have liked a longer game or something more considering it wasn’t much different than the free games offered. Again, not upset at all about the cost - I’m surprised the other games are free because they’re such high quality. I was just a bit disappointed with the lack of difference between the two. There isn’t much of an incentive to buying the games.

Shorter and easier. I was expecting to spend more time on this game compared to the cube escapes since this one is not free, but the puzzles were a little too short and simple for my liking. A little disappointed but not terribly upset. The game is still great. I’m sure if I’d tried this before the other free cube escapes I wouldn’t feel the same way I did right now!

Fun puzzle game. I like all these rusty lake games. I just went through their cube escape games and wanted more, so I got this. Even though it wasn’t terribly long, I still feel I got my money’s worth. Impossible puzzles. Some of the puzzles are just not at all hinted, which makes the game less challenging from a puzzling perspective, and more challenging from just trying things non sense.

If you like Cube Escape, don't hesitate!. We've really enjoyed playing thru all the Cube Escape games, and Rusty Lake Hotel delivers the same charm and mystery, with an added level of macbre black comedy to boot. We actually expected a more complex gameplay experience since this is a "premium" game and the others were free, but it is just about exactly the same as the previously releasd CE games. Since those were so much fun I've got no problem with that!

Got me hooked !. This is the first Rusty lake game I started with, and it grew an addiction in me, I bought both of the other Rusty lake-focused apps the developers have out. I love how this game, when compared to the others, is only room based for the most part. The other games let you explore a little more, I love how this one is set in each guests room for a whole level, brings back memories to the games I played as a kid. But I digress, I just highly recommend this game and the others haha. They’re my favourite game apps on the market, and I hope you guys come out with a new one eventually !

Single-room restart needed. I agree with others. It’s a really great game, with just the right amount of challenge, but having to restart the entire game to pick up a missed item is a bit frustrating. Still, I enjoyed it, and continue to enjoy the entire Rusty Lake series.

Engrossing!!!. It has been awhile since I have got to play this kind of game! Perfect puzzle with just enough storyline to keep it very interesting. I had to go to walkthrough a few times, but I was usually on the right track, but just needed to keep trying.

DIFFERENT. These Rusty Lake games are unique. I really enjoyed the Cube Escape series. This one is longer as a stand-alone game, but I didn't enjoy it as much. There were still unique puzzles to figure out, but they weren't quite as fun. And I didn't like how the goal of solving the puzzles was to murder the guests. I much prefer the creepy ambience of Cube Escape rather than the blatant gore of Rusty Lake Hotel.

Nice. Enjoyed the other cube games enough that after more than two years of having an iPhone, this was my first purchase. Not disappointed. Certainly some things that I may have changed, but still worth it.

Too frustrating due to lack of level or action reset. I found it frustrating that you cant undo specific actions to start an action or level over. Example: if you dont use the knife to cut the owl portrait first and instead stab the hand, you cant retract the knife and get an ingredient at all. I had to reset the game. Since some puzzles are somewhat tedious to replay, this makes it way too frustrating, to restart the whole game and have to redo a lot of things; in a game like this I want to experiment and make mistakes. I highly recommend other rusty lake games but unless this is revisited and changed, I wouldnt recommend this. Try Paradise or Roots though.

The perfect dinner. I had to play it several times before I figured it out. A lot of times I was like, no way I really had to do THAT?! (Ex: Tomatoes) But, it was worth it. I love all the rusty lake games! Big 5 stars all the way!

EXCELLENT, but GORY!. I have enjoyed the Cube Escape games so much, I wanted to support these people. Feel it's well worth the money. Prefer the Cube Escape games because they're less gory, but still recommend this one. (All the killing is a bit hard for vegetarians to take!)

Another awesome Rusty Lake Game. I got hooked on all the Rusty Lake games. I’ve played all their free games and this is the first paid one I got and definitely got my $$ worth. I’ve played it twice already. I’m still trying to unlock the bonus level. It’s cool that this isn’t a one-and-done escape game.

My least favorite Rusty Lake Game. Don’t get me wrong. I’ve bought all of them, so even the worst is top tier. But the main frustrating point is that some stuff is time sensitive or has to be done in a specific order. Like, if you finish a level before finding all the other ingredients, you just lose. I mean, you can still advance, but it takes the fun out of it.

Fantastic. I love these games. If you try to explain the actual actions (Kill each dinner guest to feed them to the remaining guests) it seems ghastly. But it works. My only frustration with this episode (Rusty Lake Hotel) is that if you don't get 3 stars on each meal, you have to start over from the beginning, you can't just redo the rooms you didn't get 3 stars on.

Frustrating. I love the other games in the series but this game is frustrating to no end. There’s no option to reset a room if you miss an ingredient (pigeon - blackberry, which I only found through a walkthrough because you can’t undo a move and have to start the whole thing over when you miss). Some of the newer responses to the same complaint says that the option is now available but I’m not seeing it.

Great puzzle. I love this game. The whole point is that you have to go through the precise steps in order to get a three star dinner. I hope there’s another dinner party soon!

Actually the best!. I’ve downloaded every single app released by these people. I’ve never found a stranger, fun, addicting game with such a great storyline that connects all the games. It’s hard for an app to please me and I’d sell my soul for this game and its creators I highly recommend every single one of their game!

I love the rusty lake series!. I wanted to get this game but I started off with the free cube escape games and they are all actually a giant story together. It's quirky, creepy and fun with all the puzzles and horror aspects. I love this game developer and I signed up for their email list to see what they will have in store next!

Way to hard. Yes people love challenging games but your puzzles at times were to extreme to figure out. Why not have any of the characters talk like the last one could. I definitely think this game could be improved and become a great game. I liked the murder aspect of the game but to many puzzles made it longer than needed.

Frustrating. I liked the cube escape games but this one is infuriating- if you miss a step or do something in the wrong order, it screws you over for the rest of the game, unless you start all over. And in some cases it's really not obvious what you need to do and when, so it's easy to mess up unless you're using a walkthrough the whole time. Ugh.

Game Direction. For the most part, I enjoyed the game. I hate that I had to rely on a walk-through to get all Stars. Without it, not sure how I would have gotten 100%. Having to reset the game bc you missed an ingredient, having to start the game over, is where the game lost it's 5th star. Beyond this, I LOVE Rusty Lake games.

Huge fan of Rusty Lake. I’ve played almost all of them and this is the first one I decided to buy because I needed more Rusty lake in my life. Best escape puzzles I’ve played. Nothing compares to them. That being said, I am disappointed in this one. I paid $1.99 and completed it faster than any of the other ones. It was a bit too easy a very fast game play.

My favorite game. I've played almost all of the Rusty Lake games, and can't stop. I'm terrified of the time when I run out of them. It's like reading a book, except you are unfolding the story yourself. Twisted and dark, nevertheless fascinating and unique.

Honestly awesome, my personal favorite. I LOVE this game it’s so cool and I love the vibes (I might be a little biased since I’m obsessed with hotel horror/mysteries) BUT it’s still rlly cool. I enjoyed getting to know these horrible creatures hehe. And the bat guy was so cute 🥺

Don't miss out on this one. I never write reviews, so trust me when I say this game is the best of the best. A totally refreshing break from the other iOS games out there. And a must-have for anyone with a dark sense of humor.

You Have To Kill Animals. I am giving this game 5 stars even though I won't play it. I don't mind that I payed for it. I have played and thoroughly enjoyed the Cube Escape games for free. I know it's "just a game", but killing animals makes my heart ache. I thought I would be OK when I killed in Seasons, but I wasn't.

From a Cube Escape Enthusiast.... This is definitely on the tamer side of the Rusty Lake games. I honestly did not enjoy this one as much as the free Cube Escape series. It was short, not as creepy, did not add much to the lore, and the puzzles simply weren't up to par with Rusty Lake's usual content. For a dollar more, you can get Rusty Lake: Roots. It is much longer and well worth your money. Hotel is still good, just not as great as RL's other stuff.

Could be great..... I finished White Door and it was great, so I tried Rusty Lake Hotel. Got to Mr. Rabbit’s room and got stuck at the box on the table next to the upright, locked chest. I looked at the walkthrough and there’s supposed to be a coin or something that frees the key through the slot in the box lid. Doesn’t work, so I’m dead in the water. Am I doing something wrong or is there a fix for this? If it makes a difference, this is on an iPad 11 Pro. Thank you.

More than a game. Rusty Lake are the very best set of games I have ever come across. There are imitators out there but nothing compares to Rusty Lake. Would it be that they designed more I would gladly pay for a nights swim in the Lake.

Best of the Escape Room Genre. These games are beautiful. This Rusty Lake game is a little more persnickety in terms of clicking on ever-so subtle pixels to get an object than other Rusty Lake ones. Still, most of the puzzles are great and it's not a 30 minutes and I'm done game. This one is even replayable if you're trying to get all the stars.

Love love. Stumbled upon the Rusty lake games this year and I love them! Hopefully they’ll be some more it will be hard to find something similar. It is all so well executed.

Just as good as the rest. I like all the RL games, I'm alike impatient on waiting for the 'to be continued', 'Roots' doesn't seem to have much to do with this game as far as I have played but I haven't finished yet, i'm hoping they do continue this story

Really fun. I don’t play many phone games or video games and i enjoyed these puzzles. I think I had to google 2-3 of the tough moments but overall found that I was bothered by that. Fun game!
