Lots of Fun-Room For Growth. This app is a lot of fun to use and create new versions of pictures/ photographs. It is not user friendly. There are no details provided explaining how to save completed sketches to your camera roll. It is up to the user to literally play with the app and spend time discovering the in/out of the app. It is a trial by error. This can become quite frustrating at times causing users to lose interest! Hence the 3 Stars.

TOO MANY ADS!!!. The tool is a very neat option fir editing photos to look like sketches, but the process is interrupted way too often with times ads. Yes...I know it’s a free app, but other free apps aren’t full of ad splashes or constant interruptions while you’re doing what the app is designed to so...before or after yes...but not during.

The best. I’ve tried all of the photo to sketch apps and this one is by far the best. I highly recommend it.

Details, Block-In, Values, Composition. This application is quite helpful for both drawing and painting. It can eliminate superfluous details particularly with the pencil mode. It can also help determine the block in areas particularly with goache. Then, of course, it demonstrates values with the oil mode. And by looking at these aspects one can visualize how to proceed with a composition derived from a photograph. All in all, this is an art educational tool. Make the most of it!

Sketch 2. The free one worked well so I bought the app. The paid app does not work. I turned my phone on and off without help. It takes 15 seconds to load and when you try to select a picture it crashes. Apple should take it down since I noticed others have the same problem.

Quit working when I paid for the full package.. I really enjoyed playing with this app and exploring the various permutations the app provides. In fact, I liked it so much I decided to go ahead and spend $1.99 for an upgrade. After that the app absolutely quit working. Once I choose a photo to have sketched the app shuts down. I had to go with a one star rating because the app is of no value. It doesn’t work. So I was ripped off financially and emotionally by the developer. I was really looking forward to exploring the paid features. IPhone X iOS 11.2.2

Love the app EXCEPT FOR...... Love the app, what I can use of it that is. When choosing a picture from my photos it won't open. I can do a pencil sketch of 1 out of every 20 pictures that I try to choose. When I tap "app support" it opens to some other language!!! I purchased so the least they can do is make it right wouldn't you think? Also when I tap on the settings icon in the bottom right the app promptly closes!!

Problems. Read again, not easy to controll. The type of style drawings some no longer work, like carve gold…. Some are good, but most cheap childlike drawings. The others don’t even look as described. Add infra red, and high color brightness . If I erase, I will loose a lot of uploaded pictures, and there is no updated app. I would appreciate your help to fix and for you to add more fixes to quality, and ability to controll program. Thank you

Awesome app. Pencil sketch has many choices like different textures and colors. They are so beautiful and different it is hard to choose from all of them. There is very few commercials that take 20 seconds. Over all it is a great game/app to have!!❤️❤️❤️

App stopped working after upgrading to Pro. I really enjoyed the free version of this app, and I want to support indie developers, so I upgraded to Pro. Unfortunately, the app now crashes every time I open all images. The same images open fine in the free version. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, restarting my phone, and finally trying to contact support. The support web site is not functional. It looks like this app has been abandoned. 😩

Love. One of the best sketch apps I’ve tried, simple with auto change settings with the most options for the intensity of sketch you can choose from. The drawing pad function is too simple and limited than other apps but otherwise it’s great.

Very disappointing!. The free version seemed so good, I was able to do really interesting things with my photos but the advertisements were annoying (ok, understandable since it is free). Alright, I’ll pay for it to get rid of the commercials..... Well, I did pay for it and now it will not work at all. I can’t get it to open any of my photos. It is essentially worthless. I can’t seem to get my money back and I have an app that will not work. Save your money.

Cool effects. There are quite a few free effects. Some are quite realistic. Great way to put a new spin on your photos or create something you could hang on the wall.

I would like a refund. I just paid to have the commercials removed and more features. I was hoping for a better oil painting feature. I quickly saw it was not what I wanted. Please tell me how I can get a refund.

Doesn’t upload photos when you upgrade. The free version was so cool that I decided to pay the $1.99 fee to have it open up without adds. As soon as I purchased it, photos will no longer upload and each time I try the app shuts down. I wrote support and have heard nothing. I deleted the app and installed it again to find out that it now wants me to purchase the upgrade again. I would like a refund if they can’t make the app run correctly.

Fantastic. This app is great! It is quick, easy, 95% free and turns pictures into such realistic sketches! I love it so much, highly recommend.

Good. Better than the other apps. Less complicated and easy to operate.

Full version won’t work with IPhone 7. Bought the full version. My iPhone software is up to date, yet immediately after I take a picture it just shuts off. Already emailed this issue to them months ago, still waiting for a response!

Fantastic art tool. This is a fantastic tool that lets you turn your photos into sketches, high contrast studies, manipulate colors , work on different color schemes, etc. I use it a lot in my Watercolor endeavors. Good job. Great job changing to pencil sketches, makes it easy to convey top svg. Just don't like all the ads. Wish there was a preview or trial of what you would get if you bought it.

Still my favorite sketch app. I’ve been using this since the app first came out (ver. 1) and love the customizable results by using different settings. 5 stars!!! One if my favorite photos of my grandson was made with this app, text added, and reprocessed for a final result that I used to surprise my daughter. Just keep playing with it, it isn’t hard to get the hang of it.

Awesome help in real sketching. I love this app because I love to schedule my own pieces of art and it allows you to change the heaviness of the lines and shadows and get a better look of particular pieces of a photograph that you may be having trouble with.

Did okay until I purchased it. I was able to choose a picture and get the different effects, but if I wanted all the effects I had to pay the $1.99 plus tax and upgrade. I upgraded it and now when I choose a picture it closes the app. It’s crazy!!! I deleted it and then re-downloaded it and it was working okay until I Restored it and then I had the same issue. It’s frustrating.

Pencil Sketch 2. Awesome tool for creativity using everyday photos and images transformed into beautiful art. I have created story coloring books for my grandchildren with this ingenious tool. Then I hand bind them in medieval fashion. They make awesome Christmas gifts that become family heirlooms.

Who knew I "could draw"?. At 60 I'm use to not being able to draw a straight line let alone anything else and have it look tangible. Who knew that this app was going to come along and stir things up. Easy as pie. Clicking buttons and ""seeing" what should be I can do and that's all I needed with the pencil sketch app. And the incredulous look on my friends face when he asked, "you did this?" Good App for photo conversions. Enjoy being able to have sketch version of photo to help with value and color choices outside the box. Also notan feature with black and white values is excellent. Instructions could be a little more clear, not as intuitive as I’d hoped but given some time one can get through most of it.

Lots of fun. I've only had this app if you days but already I've had so much fun with it, creating sketches of my children's pictures.

Works great. I probably only scratch the surface of the functionality of this app, but I would recommend.

Fantastic Artist’s Tool. I love this app. Fantastic for transforming pictures into various styles of painting. Helps train my eye to see my photos in a mew way as I consider the subject before painting it. Phone version isn’t working right now in newest apple updates. But still works great on iPads. Very grateful for this app. Thank you.

Fun automated sketching from Photos. I was playing with the App at the breakfast table, and someone behind me came by and was simply enlightened by the clarity and ease by which sketches could be created by this App. Well done, to say the least...

What a shame with this app. I ‘ll buy that app that never start. Simply you open it, choose album or camera and as fast as a thunder IT CLOSES. I buy version 2 again thinking that it comes better but it is the same. I’m surprise about the messages that I’ll start to receive recently about the features that comes with it. Maybe they make more money at a stoplight by selling chewing gum than by promoting an app that never works. Throw my money on both versions. Don't buy it.

9H Pencil. I was annoyed with all the ads. So I paid the $1.99 to upgrade. Now, when I open the app and I click on a photo in my gallery, I’m exited from the app without being able to perform any changes to my original photo. When I open the app again the same thing happens to keep me in a frustrating circle!

It’s Easy. I like this app because it’s easy. This is a great way to tweak a photo making it look like you have some great skills.

This app must be a fraud. Please refund my money. I loved this app so much that I purchased it to free the ads, but as soon as I paid for it, it stopped working. I can go into the app, but when I click to bring an image in, the app goes down immediately. I am so upset. And somehow the purchase was made twice, costing me twice!

App crashes after upgrade. I’ll adjust my rating if the app is fixed. But I upgraded to pro, and now the app continually crashes when I select a photo from my album. So the app is totally broken. I deleted and re-downloaded and it broke again after restoring my purchase. Please fix ASAP.

Broken. This app worked with ads as a free app. I paid the money to get it add free and the app crashes anytime you take a photo or select a saved photo to make into art. I deleted it and downloaded, it worked fine with ads, restored my purchase, and it crashes every time again. This app doesn’t work

Best free app. So far this is the best free app I have used. It does have pop ups and still limits your options, but it is easy and the pictures come out the best.

App no longer works.. I paid for the fully functioning app and loved it. Now Sketch2 seems to be non-functional and an identical app (same logo with a change to name only) called PencilSketch does not recognize my paid upgrade. I’ve contacted the developer twice to ask about this and been ignored. Sketch2 opens just fine but closes immediately after selecting an image to work on.

I can’t seem to buy it. I use this a lot. It always had ads but now it’s totally ridiculous, every screen or click makes another 30 second ad. It’s hard to even use it now. So I figured I’d buy it. I tried over and over on both my iPad and phone, on different days. A circle just keeps going round and round, I can never even buy it. What is up with this ap?

Doesn’t work and zero support. I bought PencilSketch 1 for my iPhone 6+ and it worked fine. When I traded in for an X, PencilSketch quit working. I thought changing to PencilSketch 2 would solve the problem as it states it works for the iPhoneX. Nope. I sent an email a week ago asking for help. Silence. Sent another email a few days ago. Silence. I paid money for both Pro versions and neither work. Their support is anything but helpful. Do not expect any level of support for this app because it doesn’t exist.

Didn’t work after I paid for it. I’d give the trial version of this app 3/5 stars (loose two stars for the constants ads), but when I shelled out the purchase price the app stopped working completely instead of unlocking additional content and turning off the ads ... well there are no ads, but nothing else either. Please fix this! It looks like a very cool app! If it worked the same after getting rid of the ads as it in the ad based version I’d give it 5 stars!

Loud, obtrusive ads. It's bad enough that the workspace is peppered with ads, but I expected that on an evaluation copy. You can put up with that while you decide to buy. I did not expect a full screen, full volume ad with a timer at random moments. Not appreciated in a library! An excellent program deleted from my iPad, and will not be coming back.

Free version only for iphone. The app works great as a free version. The paid version removes ads but only works on iPad. The paid version on iphone does not access photo library as it shuts down every time. This is an issue today - April 17, 2018 and was an issue last year. I love the app and give 5 stars for iPad but only 3 stars for iphone version.

Free version works, paid version doesn’t. I loved the free version of the app, but wanted to try the paid version because of the additional features. Paid for it, downloaded it, and now the image I’m attempting to edit doesn’t show up on the phone. I can still go through the steps and save it ... but I won’t know what the image looks like until after it save it. Wrote to support, no response. Wrote to support again, no response. Program doesn’t work. Can not recommend purchase. Terrible, terrible, terrible! No response at all from developer. I’d recommend NEVER purchasing from this scammer.

Love it. I sketch normally and sometimes it’s really nice to see how an actual photograph may come out and sometimes I use the sketch created here as a reference when creating my own.

I’m calling apple for my money back.. I HAD THE SAME ONE I PURCHASED 3 YEARS AGO, TO PLAY WITH MY KIDS, SOME HOW THE ONE I PURCHASED STOP WORKING... I WENT TO THE APPS, AND FIND THE SAMEONE....... Can't save photo in Album. Ads. Are painful at every step you have to close ad makes it difficult to work with other wise good app. Also not letting me save the photo makes it useless. You can only share.

Poorly organized; not useful.. This had such good potential but it is hard to maneuver through and make sense of what the app really does. No effective means to ask developer Q’s. I could go on but what’s the use. All of these free apps simply barrage u with ads pressuring you to buy their upgrades.

NOT USEABLE IPHONE 11. NEITHER FUNCTION EVEN AFTER PAYING FOR UPGRADES Both 1 & 2 versions CONSTANTLY AND CONSTANTLY crash every time I try to use them; once I got iPhone 11. It is not compatible. Can't get past ad. It takes me to the Mobile Strike ad and I get to watch a disembodied hand slide endlessly across the screen. I'M NOT INTERESTED IN THAT GAME! Seems like every app on iTunes has sold their soul to the marketing team for that game. I'll just keep deleting the apps that run their endless tutorial loop.

Pencil Sketch. This is a cool app. It gives plenty of choices for interesting photo effects. I use it to convert photos to B/W and separately convert to a Lithophane for 3D printing.

Sketch - mood changer. I love this app. Moods are terribly important to express to your friends and one's self. This app enables everyone to express a dimension in art and to be human... thus your mood!

Great way to spend free time!!. Sketch is so much more rewarding than wasting your time on crooked, corrupt politics!!!

Keeps Crashing. This App produces the BEST pencil sketches but it crashes way too much. Plus the ads are annoying. Upgraded to get rid of the ads but then the App crashed 🙁🙁

ABM - Images from Photomicroscopy. An outstanding product! Renderings from my photo library with this software produce excellent detail. The paid version provides a huge selection of Filter sets. This results in high fidelity derivative images which may be tweaked by the opera actor to produce the exact final didactic results.

XR dose not work with this app. I have a new iPhone XR. This app dose not work well with it. I bought full version and it shuts off. I reinstalled it and get the ads once more. I buy full version once more and it shuts down. The process keeps repeating

In-app upgrade purchase crashes app. 1/1/19 - Played around with the app enough to be impressed with the options and flexibility so I paid to eliminate ads and gain access to additional editing options. Now app crashes immediately when attempting to load an photo from the camera roll. Tried deleting and reloading 3 times but the problem came back every time immediately following loading the upgrade. 1 star until this app-killing glitch is fixed. I will update review accordingly.

Great App. This app is awesome for sketching pictures with multiple options and filters.

I use it for drawings. It’s great if your having trouble with colors and just need a face or an object simplified down into something for reference.

Keeps on crashing.. I paid for the upgrade but t keeps on crashing on me. I will try again to X the app and reload it.
