Epic app, but started having issues recently. I’ve been using MediBang for 4 whole years and it’s been amazing! I love the features and I’ve had tons of fun using it BUT! One issue- Recently [as in within the past two weeks] it’s started freezing up and then crashing constantly, and worse, the crashing has erased all my work on a current project multiple times :[ obviously this is a big problem for me because starting over from scratch multiple times is very demotivating, so I’m writing this review in hopes that it’ll get fixed soon! I’ll definitely come back to edit the review once the issue is fixed because this is by far my favorite art program and it has a ton of amazing and easy to use features I love!! Thank you so much for all your hard work and everything you do!

Best drawing app I’ve used so far. Okay, so currently I’ve moved from drawing on Tayasui Sketches to this, but I’ve used GIMP and a few other programs before it, and let me just say, this one is staying. Fricking. Amazing! 😆 It’s so close to Photoshop that it actually baffles me, and once you get used to the layout (it’s a tiny bit confusing at first) and start messing around with all the different brush choices, you so quickly fall a bit in love. There are so many different options as to what to do, it’s actually a bit overwhelming sometimes. You can even add in brushes, patterns a/o manga tones of your own!!!! 😍 Highkey the only problem is that once in a while it takes a toll on my computer because it’s a slight bit beefy, and that posting art on their site(?) is sort of impossible for me?? But that’s about it! 10/10, would recommend ✨☺️

I’m very pleased with this program but.... To preface, it’s awesome that this program is free and works as well as it does. I’ve purchased ones that weren’t nearly as good as this. That being said, if it’s possible, I would like to see a few things change. Such as the brush size limit. It’s upsetting that my brush size can’t be as big as I want it to be unless I’m using a very small canvas. In addition, I’m sure this is for optimization sake but the brush spacing can be abysmal sometimes with no way to make the spaces small enough to fix this. Another thing about the brushes is that (and maybe I’m doing something wrong) the brushes just feel a bit rigid compared to other programs, namely the pro version. It would also be nice to have more in depth tutorials on the brushes themselves. I think that would help a lot.

Hello!. I think this app is amazing- I love to see all the other artworks people have made! There are a few things I am confused about however. One, I can’t like anything. Whenever i go to the favorite section, it says to tap the star icon on works you like. But I never see a star icon. Also, for some reason Art street won’t let me post ANYTHING. I was only able to put one or two things on there, and even then it was difficult. I was also wondering if your able to see more of the same persons Art- I always see names below the art pieces, but it doesn’t seem you can go and see their other drawings. (I don’t know if that made any sense I’m not good at explaining things..)

Absolutely stunning. I love this app so much. In my experience I’ve gotten clearer results with this than with sketchbook pro, and the creators of the app are generous enough to make it free. I love using the mobile app as well as the version meant for pc. A couple of features don’t translate to the mobile app, but it’s power when drawing and coloring is outstanding. Airbrushes don’t look pixelated and staticky, and the brushes are pressure sensitive. Truly this is the best art application I’ve ever used. It’s been about 2 years now since I’ve had it, and have not found a better competitor that’s free and as easy to use with this level of quality. I’ve been drawing all my life, and this program has saved a lot of paper for me, I wish I could give it ten stars.

About the new ‘glitch’ a way to fix it. I was irritated that I couldn’t save anything of my drawings thought was only me since I have a crappy phone, but to make a long story short, I imported all of I’m drawings into illustrations to save them from being lost and deleted the app and downloaded it again, when trying to save my drawings it asked for access to my camera and it works fine now, I don’t think it’s necessary to delete the app and redownload it you could probably fixed in ur phone setting, but if it doesn’t just try I was did:))) hope it’s helpful to anyone frustrated about it:)))

Issues with Crashing. Medibang is a great starter if you would like to begin digital art. However, there are a lot of issues once you want to begin to explore your options. - Crashing: Medibang does not automatically save your works and you would need to manually do it. It comes with the cost of losing hours worth of progress due to the program not being able to handle the layers. It’s frustrating and the download process takes a while. It is not guaranteed that any of the works will be saved. - Brushes: Although there is no need for a variety of brushes such as “car stamps”, it’s still very frustrating to know that you are unable to create or download any brushes outside of Medibang’s free version. If you want the premium version, it still does not give you the ability to add your own creations as a stamp or a brush. It limits your creativity to do what you would like. Layers: Easy separation. You are able to organize it like Paint Sai. It’s easy and helps a lot when you have tons of layers.

This app is amazing!! But there’s a small bug.... I love everything about the app, it has a lot of features a digital drawing app should have, like selection tool, different types of brushes, layers, etc. what I also really like about the app is the color thingy looks different. I like how it’s original and it doesn’t look like that trendy color wheel (I wish I had the same color thingy on my iPad because I don’t want mine to be a color wheel..). I rated this review 4 stars and it’s because there’s a small bug that kinda annoys me a lot and that the undo button doesn’t work that well on my phone (using 2 fingers to undo). I know I can just use the undo button, but I’m just more comfortable using 2 fingers to undo. Please fix this!! It works fine on iPad, but on my phone it doesn’t work really well.

amazing + suggestion. i love this app. i used to be a hardcore user of ibis paint because to be honest it is a great app, but having a really close friend constantly tell me of this app is what convinced me to at least give medibang a try. i tried it once and i didnt like it mostly because i did not give it a chance, but when i decided i wanted to try painting i got it again. i’ve been using it ever since. its really self-explanatory and has very simple functions that can be used in such complex ways, the brushes are great, the interface is able to be adjusted according to your tastes and on its own it already looks great, additionally i love the filters and user-friendly tools to use to your advantage. to be honest the only thing i ask of right now is to have a playback feature where i can play back a video of the process i took to draw. if that was included, i’d be literally the happiest person to ever use this app. thanks and please i hope this review gets read over and that my suggestion is taken into consideration. thanks again ❤️❤️

Liked it before they got greedy. I’ve used MediBang for at least 6 years now, it’s what I used when I started digital art, and it’s been super reliable and easy to use. I’ve tried using other programs before but they’ve never worked out so I always went back to MediBang. Until they forced this “premium subscription” and is hoarding my 6+ years of work from me unless I PAY just to open them. There was no warning whatsoever, nothing telling artists to prepare or anything in advanced, just started the program one day and ALL of my work is locked from me. This is completely disgusting and so disappointing. I’ve never been so upset before. The absolute greed that MediBang has shown by forcing this stupid subscription is plain and flat out disgusting. I’ve switched to CSP and enjoy it so much more, I regret not switching earlier. Will never be using MediBang again.

Just needs an animation option!. This is, by far, the best software I’ve used for digital art; the brushes are good, the layout is easy to follow and awesome, and everything’s user friendly and easy to find. My only suggestion is that it could have an animation function, or even a separate app just for animation. I want to get into animation, but all of the apps I’ve seen for it have rather crappy brushes, and it’s difficult to navigate. If we could have the same layout as medibang with the addition of the option to add slides and set them in motion, my life would be complete. This app is awesome though, and I love it quite a bit. I’ve tried other fancy programs but I always find myself back here because it’s simply my favorite. It’s the best in my opinion, I just wish you could animate with it as well.

Great app honestly. If you are a digital artist trying to find new drawing apps I say this one is worth a shot. It’s really confusing when you first start using it but you’ll once you get the hang of it it becomes a lot of fun. Honestly, the only reason first place is because I ibis paint wasn’t cutting it out for me and I switched to this app since someone recommended me it. Then again I don’t have much experience with mainstream drawing apps, I used to use this app that’s now deleted called sketch. Uhh my reviews getting too long, uh good app, only bad parts are probably the ads, and have a nice day :D

BETTER APPS OUT THERE. Now ive used medibang for a while on both pc and phone, however recently its like they stopped updates? So its very buggy. For example, if you zoom out on your canvas, it locks your position and you can't move in or out, or move the screen around UNLESS you save your work, and exit out of medibang completely. Which is a hassle for those that dont pay the subscription to remove ads. I use procreate and ibispaint now and ibispaint for a free alternative is much better. You can CHOOSE to watch an ad to unlock all brushes for 24hours. And its not even buggy. It also records a Timelapse of your work as well. Medibang was good in the beginning, i enjoy their pencil brush especially. But until they fix their bugs, update their app, and give a better method for the free users, i will never use this app again.

Used to love this app but the ads are too much. I’ve been using this app for years now and it’s always been my go-to for sketches or image tweaks, and I’ve even recommended it to a bunch of people, but the update to put a banner ad on the functional part of the app is souring the goodwill its built up. I’ve never minded the ads that pop up when you open the app for the first time or before you open a new file- even the video ones that make you wait before closing them- I get you need to keep the lights on. But persistent ads right above the canvas? Where you’re drawing? I keep accidentally hitting the thing when I’m trying to use most basic features of the app- please revert this! Put more ads out front if you absolutely must but not where you’re meant to draw. It’s very obtrusive and makes the app a huge pain to use

complaints. the app is good for the most part and is very easy and fun to use for my art, but there are a few things that ruin it. first, it takes FOREVER to save. this wouldn’t be as much of a problem if it were exclusive to that, not only does it take forever to simply back up, but it also does automatic back ups, which would be fine except that it takes forever to do those. it’s annoying. especially when i didn’t want to back up yet. the worst problem is that when i exit the app for even a few seconds it restarts the app. this used to be ok, as when i clicked continue it was right back to what i was doing, regardless of whether i backed up. now, if i didn’t back up before i left the app for even a few seconds, usually to look at a reference, and i go back, it deletes so much of my progress. why is the continue button even there if things like this happen? i try to back up often but i forget a lot and could always count on my progress still being intact as long as i clicked the continue button, but now that is not the case. this is ridiculous, i hate losing so much progress because of a simple miscalculation. if this happens again i will probably be switching to another program.

Incredibly good Art Program. For being a free Art program it does its purpose incredibly well. I really enjoyed using this app for what was most likely three years straight and was happy with it the whole time. I’ve noticed that the text took isn’t that good though, so if you’re planning on making comics with this program, this isn’t the art program for you. The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is due to a more recent thing I’ve noticed. I’ve recently had to switch to my phone for drawing, and unfortunately I can no longer use the line tool or the tool that lets you move stuff around. This has been incredibly detrimental to my art process, and as such I unfortunately can’t use the app to its fullest anymore. So don’t use this app if you’re drawing on a phone. Other than that, the app is incredibly well made and I’d recommend it to any new digital artist.

Fantastic app that ive used for years!. I have always had difficulty finding art programs for mobile, especially for smaller devices such as the iPhone. This app allows you to draw with a wide variety of tools, filters, unlimited layers, and even has a stabilizer! While it has recently added in app purchases, they are in no way mandatory or needed to get in order to draw unrestricted! The only problem I’ve ever experienced is with editing the brushes. In the edit tab, the sliders don’t accurately show the percentage or number which you’ve chosen. You could tap the plus sign on any of them twice and it would go from, say, 50 to 54. But considering this app is nearly completely free, one could deal with this minor issue. (I also wish they had an animation feature, but this app is already so jam packed with features!)

Why I gave this a 1 star…. Honestly I don’t know what’s wrong with this. I’ve been using this program for about two years and I’ve not once ever had a problem with it, till these past few weeks. I’ve recently been having trouble with saving it. I use this on my pc and out of nowhere it just stopped saving my work. I tried saving it three different times and nothing, I even tried clearing up some space in my pc to see if that was the problem but nope. I’ve gone to multiple websites trying to figure this out and after EVERYTHING I could fine, none of it worked! At one point of me drawing I was working on a drawing and everything was fine I was almost done with it and then out of nowhere with no warning whatsoever and without it saving, the app closed. Three hours and maybe more time spent on that and it was gone. There was even one time I was working on something and I decided to save it so I could work on it in the morning because I was getting tired but it refused to save. I’m most likely never gonna use this again because now it won’t even let me go on it to draw, it just kicks me out. I’ve been finding a bunch of other drawing apps that work a lot better than this one. It’s sad because I loved this one so much and now I have to say goodbye to it.

Tons of pros, few cons. This app is amazing! Ive been using it for about a year and absolutely love it! Now i use an iphone and the design of the app is amazing, its easy to use and pleasing to look at, however i watched my friend use it on their samsung, and its not as pleasing and the setup is different, i tried using it and was very confused. So i kinda wish the setup was the same i guess, otherwise i find it amazing! Though sometimes when im coloring art, itll delete what i was working on coloring, and i have to start over (not completely) and it can be frustrating. And on samsung, i dont know if its their app or phone, but it keeps crashing on them and they have to restart their art or the majority of it. I give it five stars because it has never failed me like other apps have, and everything on it is free! You get tons of brushes and can make quality art for free!

Best Drawing App!. This so amazing! I didn’t regret getting this at all. The other drawing apps I got like iBisPaint X and others didn’t work out but this is amazing! It’s just like the app that I used on my PC for drawing but I switched to my iPad because I got tired of drawing with a mouse, lol. Anyways, anyone who is doing major drawings or being a digital artist as their job MUST try this app out. It has great features and I animate with this app as well by saving (a lot) of pictures and putting it in a video app. Even though not much people will see it, I’m still entertained with the app. The only thing the app needs is a bit better organization. It’s a bit confusing but at least my drawing looks good in the end😊

It has lost my trust. I thought this app was great before! but turns out it isn't and it's programming is FAULTY. I purchased the no ads add-on and it was working well for awhile... i noticed i was getting ads again (i was logged in, and everything) so I went to "restore purchase". kept going but kept failing. their ads are absolutely INTRUSIVE and ANNOYING so i wasn't going to put up with them again after i paid $5.99 for it. I planned to leave a review, asking about the problem. To my surprise i was completely unable to leave one because I, did not "own/download the app".... as a last resort, i deleted, and reinstalled the app, hoping that would solve the problem with the ads.. and it did! but unfortunately, to my dismay, years of art left in my Internal had been flushed down the drain. I thought the point of having my account connected to the app would allow me to recover any art left in my gallery. I guess not. Unless you guys fix the problem, you've lost my trust.

I love this app!. This review is probably going to be long and I never write reviews, EVER but this app is so good! A friend recommended it to me because I love drawing, you can use it with a stylus which I love because I don’t have any “phone drawing pens” I was so surprised it was 100% free because usually apps like these are free! You can share your designs, when you first get on it it has a option where you can watch a tutorial on how to use it, I didn’t watch it but I wish I did! I have figured most of the stuff out, but I’m not sure if it has a option to save to your camera roll, apart from that, it’s a incredible app that I recommend!!!

Amazing! Can you add a Naming + Filing function?. I absolutely love this app!! I prefer it over Procreate definitely, and that program is $10! I would definitely buy the full version of this program, but only if the internal version allowed you to name the file and sort it. I know you can do that with an account, but i dont like that you can only name it with internet access. I would much rather the ability to sort, name, and file my art! I would definitely be willing to pay for that!! That’s my only reason for giving it a 3/5 instead of a 5/5, as that is would be a massive help and is kind of a massive downside to using the program currently. Its the only reason i alternate between Medibang and Procreate.

No problem with it!. Everyone is saying it’s not the best but it is in my opinion sooo good! I have no problems with it and also it is improving my online drawing skills I’m ok with on paper but I sucked at drawing in a app before this game get it and u will never regret it but that is my opinion so have fun with this game it’s awsome and I highly recommend it as the title says I have had nothing wrong happen with it nothing has happened when I just wanna scream like all the other drawing apps plus it’s free! I almost couldn’t find ANY drawing apps that R free and are cool and fun to play so check it out!

I love it! 😍. Hi there! If you are considering getting this app, I strongly recommend so! This app has a LOT of cool tools and such to use for free! You can use layers, color picker, eraser, adjusting and a whole lot more! The pencil tool comes with a large variety of other types of strokes such as brush, airbrush, pen, and pencil to name a few. But there are so many other choices it would take forever to list them! Yes, there are ads but it’s not unbearable at all, at least for me. They usually appear if you close out a canvas or open one. Sometimes they appear if the app refreshes sort of. But you can upload art to pictures, files, notes, and a lot more. Overall, this is an amazing app that I have lots of fun with! I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do! 😊

probably the best out there. *insert “blah blah blah i don’t normally give reviews” stuff* Medibang is the first, and currently only, drawing app on my phone. There is very good reason for this. “But anon,” you may ask, “what are the reasons?” That is probably a good question to ask. First of all, it’s intuitive. I can recover my drawing if i close the app without saving, correction helps with my shaky hands, YOU CAN TURN OFF ANTI-ALIASING (I am very passionate about this, Ibis Paint X cannot do that to my knowledge!) The tools are right in front of you and customizable. Medibang paint is fast. If you want to save it, click the icon and whoosh! It’s saved. Want to add an effect (Add, Overlay, etc...)? One tab, one click, take a stab, and you can pick. I get lag sometimes, but that’s mostly because my phone will let me download 6 apps at most with a ton of lag.. That’s more of a personal thing though. My one con is watch out! There is a lot of NSFW on the “social media” part of it. If you don’t like that stuff, be warned. Overall, it is gucci in the Balducci.

It’s good but could use a bit more modifications... Personally I think this is a fairly good up. It contains most of the tools and option some of those paid painting apps. But some of those missing components that it needs is the mirror tool. It is where u Create a point in the canvas and whatever you do on the other side of the point also applies to the other so it is mirrored. This is I think is a great way to create a perfect figure without some distortions. Another is the duplication of some area you chose with the magic wand. For example if I was making an eye and too lazy to create the other side I should have the option to duplicate it into another layer(the selected area) and flip it to create a finished pair of eyes. However when you try to flip the canvas, all the canvas comes along with it, and flips. I would like that option to be a separated on each canvas. Lastly is the blending option, although this can be substituted with other brushes that were implemented, it’s just the conveniences of it would I suggested this. These are some of my suggestions that could make this even more of an awesome app, it is just a suggestion that I would like to be thought over for, it is entirely up to you developers to decide whether this is beneficial. :D thank you for listening.

Testing my patience. Ok, I’ve loved this app ever since it came out, I’ve been using it for 6+ years. I was ok with the addition of ads, even when they would crash the app repeatedly. I was ok with some of the less used items taken off for subscription users only. But this late august update, that came without warning, locking users away from their saved art in the cloud space due to changing it to 2gbs is something I can’t ignore. I understand the company needs to make money, you can tell through the years through their addition of ads, but this is just scummy. Your holding people’s art sabotage in efforts for them to pay to get it back is very unfair. I was lucky enough to have downloaded all my works before the update due to a random instinct, but others weren’t so lucky . Although the cloud portion is the only part of the app I disagree with, I’m leaving a two star review for how they just up spit in the face of old time users who used cloud. At this point I wonder if I can even trust this company anything else. What shouldve happened is that the art that’s been saved in the cloud before the update should have the option to download. Or do what MEGA (cloud storage) did and make the update only cater to new users

It just keeps getting worse.. I’ve been using medibang for over 3+ yrs now and it has never let me down up until now. I use Medibang on both my Laptop and Phone but recently it’s not worth it anymore. The app consistently crashes and bugs out making me lose incredible amounts of progress on artworks and ever since the new updates this year of 2022 it’s gotten worse. Multiple crashes whether during the saving process, accidental home button presses, adding images for reference. It now has horrible lag after being on it for to long, as well as when adding images to the canvas. Half the time I can’t even save to the cloud because it takes so long or I’ll end up losing half my work if not all of it DURING the saving progress. Its obvious that a properly working Medibang is ONLY available to premium users, especially after the now limited cloud storage stunt they pulled. I understand switching to another program but I love how they went back on their “Medibang will always be free” thing. They’ve really lost their roots.

Amazing 😉 lover of game. This is a crazy 😝 fun game !!!! I can't believe all the artwork on here looks like a real picture but you made that picture I looked at others art work and most of all it was anime but that doesn't matter because I love 💗 anime!!! I am so pretty proud that this game was made . It can't cheer me up when I am sad 😔 though only my baby sister can do that !!! Problem with new update. This app is pretty much the one good app you can get for Mobile and the art you can make can be beautiful but the one problem I have from the new update is the manual rotation. When you try and zoom out the page will change and is very annoying to the point of not being able to draw anything. I understand that sown people wanted This and I praise the creators for listening to its fans but this one problem could be very difficult to new artists trying medibang. I just want there to at least be a button in settings to turn it on or off.

Getting out of hand. This app is very nice for the type of digital art I do, painting for example, but there is a reason why I would never give this app five stars. The ads. I understand revenue is a needed thing, but when you already charge your members a certain amount of access certain filters, getting an ad every time I open the app or exit a certain drawing is overkill. The ads they sponsor often have an x button that obnoxiously small, so I ACTUALLY have to leave the entire app to close it. Which, I think, is ridiculous. This App never used to be like this, but all of a sudden, so many good apps require ads every five seconds. It’s disappointing and frankly, disgusting. Step up your game MediBang. Potentially losing progress on a drawing because I can’t exit out of your ads is ridiculous, when I’ve already lost entire drawings because your app suddenly shuts down is not reasonable. The only reason I still use it is because your biggest competitor doesn’t have a decent brush I need. Other than that, they are your equal and better in every way. I’m sorry, but I find it unreasonable.

Grey scale only and unmovable layers (Please read!!!). I think that it’s unique and definitely a good idea to make a drawing app for a smart phone. Not everyone, like myself, has a tablet so it’s a bit difficult to find art apps to draw on. The problem with this app is that I was in the middle of coloring when I tried to use a certain color that wasn’t in a grey scale. But the color was turning out grey anyway. I check the opacity and it was definitely not translucent. I tried exiting the app, changing brushes and even changing colors, but nothing worked. It kept turning out grey instead of the color I would have preferred to use. I also would try to make newer layers and put them underneath the line art layer, but I t wouldn’t budge. I was wondering if there’s something I’m doing wrong or if it’s a bug that needs fixing. Thank very much for taking the time to read this and I hope to hear your reply.

For the people who hate this drawing app. So basically if you’re having issues with this app and stuff I would recommend you to use IbisPaint X it’s an amazing app it doesn’t crash or freeze it’s completely free and to unlock all brushes (for 18 hours) you just need to watch 1 ad! Plus at the bottom when you open the app there’s other people’s drawing with a ranking from 1st place to 20th place and if you click on one of the drawings you’re gonna see a speed draw of the person making their art so you could get ideas of what to draw and stuff, that’s all I gotta say and have a great day/night! ^^

What an app. Honestly, I downloaded this app having very little faith that anything good would come of it. I love to draw but finding time between work was getting harder and harder and The only way I could think of squeezing in some practice was on my phone through an app during my lunch breaks. Enter Mediabang. This app is so well thought out and you can really tell the developers knew what tools were most important to an artist using the app. There are limitations to the tools available, but nothing that is crippling to the experience. The level of sophistication is honestly jaw dropping for an app that can be used on your phone. MOST IMPORTANTLY, I have to extend my sincerest gratitude to the developers for making such an enjoyable app entirely free.

Probably the best free drawing program. I’ve been using it for probably four years now? And it’s definitely the best program I’ve found for several reasons! 1. Free! You don’t have to pay for any of the essentials you need in order to draw! There are some payed features but there completely optional, and despite it being free there is a LOT of stuff in order to help you draw! 2. Lots of free/payed brushes, I only use a couple of the free ones but I know different brushes are very important to some people and there’s a very large variety of free and payed ones! 3. You can save your drawings across any device, this is probably the most important one for me, you can start a drawing on say your computer but then you can save it to the cloud and continue it on another device like you tablet or phone, and that way you’ll never loose your drawings, you do have to make an account in order to do that but that’s free too and I didn’t really mind. 4. They update regularly and listen to reviews/suggestions from people! They also have a website for you to post your art and stuff on which is automatically hooked up to your Medibang account! I don’t use it often but I think it’s a great feature! The only complaint I have is that it’s not great for beginners and if your new to digital art you should probably watch a few tutorials on how to work the program but beyond that it’s awesome! Definitely give it a try

My favorite free drawing app !!!!. I’ve been doing digital art for about 6 years now, and while my main program is procreate, this is still my favorite free drawing app that I’ve found. It’s easy to use, has all the features I need, and doesn’t obnoxiously shove ads in your face. Also, I love the free brushes that come with the program, and I’ve been able to make some pretty cool art with them!! Whether you’re new to digital art or you’re just looking to try out something new, I would absolutely recommend this program. It’s not the fanciest one out there, but it’s free and it works well :)

Disappointed and dissatisfied. I’m very disappointed with the choice of having the user pay $8.00 just to use the “layer swap” feature. Sure, it includes ad removal, but ads don’t bother me, so this is absolutely useless. I hadn’t updated my app in quite a while, but I was dissatisfied to see that I couldn’t move my layers around freely anymore! It was free before, so why isn’t it free now? I understand that as the app creators, you need to make money, but I don’t feel like this is how you should do it. I’m not sure how long this fee has been in place (since, as previously stated, I only have updated the app as of today), but I really don’t like it. It’s much harder to draw without it, and it takes more time to do even a simple doodle now. The only reason I’m giving this three stars, is because I LOVED the app before I updated it. Now, the main screen looks weird and the loading circle thing looks too clunky!! It looked clean before, but now it doesn’t have the same charm as it used to. Please fix these issues. :(

Amazing App... BUT. There is nothing else I can say... everything I think about the app are already in the positive reviews. PLEASE HAVE BETTER LINE TOOLS FOR LINE ART- The only thing that will set this apart from other drawing apps on the app store is better curve tools that allow for adjustment of pressure, etc. I hope that can be added, because that is one function that I can only get if I switch to a desktop application, which makes it quite annoying. GLITCHES- Also, sometimes the app crashes when dealing with bigger canvases, plus I cannot load png files from the my photo library, they turn into jpeg (?) (where there should be transparency there is just a white background, it doesn’t preserve the transparency)- I have to put the png on google drive and then download the pngs from google drive into the app for the transparency to be preserved. I hope this gets fixed, but other than that, it’s a amazing app for drawing on the iPad :)

20.1 update caused problems. I love this app to pieces and it was my first drawing app but after the 20.1 update, an issue arose. I went into the app to my gallery and nothing was showing up. I created new canvases and they wouldn’t appear in gallery(the last one I created would appear if I pressed continue) and this is stressing me out. The majority of my pieces are internally and I use the app on my iPad so I’ve tried restarting my iPad and logging in and out of the app and nothing worked. I have this app on my phone as well but there were no issues there. I’m afraid of reinstalling the app because of the risk of loosing all of my pieces. I really hope that this issue gets resolved quickly.

Love it💕,But..... I love this app!!!.. But there are some issues.#1 I don’t know if this is just me or being on a phone instead of an iPad, but some things that I click on just don’t work. For instance in everyone’s art you are supposed to be able to tap on the picture and see the whole thing, but for some reason it doesn’t work for me! And I can’t get to “my page” to edit thing such as my picture. I really want to do these things and I’m not sure how to fix it. If this if just a me problem let me know😂 but other then that this is a amazing art app and I would highly recommend getting it.

Get this app; you won’t regret it.. If you’re a digital artist, aspiring or not, Medibang is 100% the app you wanna get. Simple and aesthetic interface, user-friendly, a ridiculous amount of features to use at your disposal to draw with, etc. But my favorite feature has to be the fact you can transfer from your computer to your phone or tablet, and vice versa. And the best thing is? Medibang is a free software, aside from receiving advertisements after you exit a file, they’re not annoying and plastered everywhere like most apps in general. Just a pop-up similar to ones you would see on FireAlpaca once you boot it up, for example. But if you have the money, and you like the app, support the creators by paying to remove the ads! I feel they deserve it for this amazing app. A downside is the fact that if you’re attempting to create an animation or GIF, Medibang is intended for still illustration, so unless you’re a huge fan of painstaking processes and don’t have access to FireAlpaca... dunno what to tell you. All in all, I recommend Medibang for anything related to digital art, it’s highly unlikely I’ll be switching to another program anytime soon. If you currently or previously used IbisPaint, switch over ASAP.

I don’t understand. I got this app thinking it was really good for drawing comics. When I tried to draw a comic I didn’t understand how anything worked so I went to the tutorial thing. The only thing remotely close to the comics was how to make speech bubbles for them. I didn’t understand where anything was all it said was “select a section then add a border” I don’t know how to do any of that at searched everywhere on MediBang for a tutorial on how to do that that has more of a description. I also tried to draw to see how well that works and, keep in mind I tried many devices to see if it was just my phone, and whenever I try to draw it cuts it off. I’ll be trying to draw a head for example and halfway through the chin area, it’ll just stop the line and make a new one, creating a space in between two lines. I kept my stylus on the touchscreen and never lifting it so I know it isn’t that. I also used different kinds of things like my finger and other brands of stylus. They all do the same thing. Honestly this would have been a good app but all it has caused me is frustration. Hopefully finding help, -Chloe

What happened?. I’ve been using this app for a year or so, worked fine the entire time everything was good. I was testing a different drawing app for a couple of weeks then for some reason when I come back the app’s messed up? The tool that looks like a hand overlaps the colors on the side of the screen(I usually draw vertically on my iPad) and there’s something wrong with touching anything using my fingers? I tried zooming out using my fingers and it didn’t do anything even while pressing different buttons. I’ve already tried checking settings on it but everything was the same as I left it.

Guess I gotta drop and move on from this. I had used Medibang about 3 years now as a Windows and IOS user. I loved using this program as it provided best features for me to work on my art. While it has its cons, such as the ads coming in right after I save and leave my artwork, I couldn’t ever be more disappointed. Ever since the recent update, where the cloud system gained a storage limit of 3GB, not only I lost access to my own artwork within that storage, I also have to buy the premium just to get more storage and actually get it back?? Basically holding it hostage until I pay?? I didn’t even know about this change within the update was gonna happen until I wasn’t even able to save my own work since last month it happened. I even tried to remove some artwork within my cloud and it still didn’t even change a thing. While back then in the past, I would’ve paid for this if I ever had the chance, now this convinced me to not even buy anything at all for this application, even the premium. As much I would feel bad that I would let go of a good program like Medibang go, the update won’t do for me. Maybe do actually let any of the users know beforehand with your updates and actually extend the space within the cloud. I do get trying to get support and all for this program to work, but that wouldn’t really justify keeping our own artwork away from our grasps.

Guess it’s over.. I’ve used Medibang for years, it was originally ad free, eventually ads are added, but not so intrusive software is unusable, so it’s fine, make the money, I get it. Now they added banner ads to iPad, this means you lose canvas space as the banner isn’t removable, not to mention it wasn’t optimized at all, so now we have the inclusion of many bugs that never happened before, layers can’t be scrolled through, I had a bug where after a short time any finger contact would act as me selecting transparency as my color, now the same bug happens but instead of the transparency your fingers just don’t work at all, the software was completely and utterly busted for the sake of something already inconvenient. A year ago I would recommend this software hands down. Heck, two WEEKS ago I would have done so. But it’s all over now. Software has in one update become practically unusable. I would have even payed as long as it was a one time thing just to get my software usable, for the years of usage I can’t deny they deserve my money, but they rubbed salt in the wound by removing their one time payment option, changing to exclusively a subscription model. It’s ridiculous. Going to look for new programs. I suggest you don’t get too attached if you came for free quality software.

The best, but with one issue. This is still the absolute best paint app for iOS, but with the last few updates, I've noticed that my phone has been quickly heating up as I use it, and it's also making my battery drain rapidly. That's becoming a serious problem, especially since I have many projects to do, including commissions, and I can't keep taking breaks every couple minutes to let my phone cool off, or to frequently charge it, plus I don't want my phone damaged. If there's any way you could fix this problem, that would be awesome. I use an iPhone 6 with 9.1 software if that helps any. EDIT: I've discovered that keeping my phone on low power mode helps tremendously with the overheating and battery drain problem, but the app lags a lot when I'm zooming in and out.

Crashes After Crashes (Slight cry for help). Listen, MediBang. I absolutely ADORE your app but as of right now, the app will just keep on crashing. I’ve drawn with at least a hundred layers in one drawing and nothing happened. Today, I was almost to that layer number till it crashed. I didn’t mind it since it has happened. But this time, it just kept doing it and doing it over again. I’m having to redraw frames every time which can be annoying at times. BUT NOW, I CAN’T EVEN ACCESS THE CANVAS IN GENERAL. Every time I click on it, I wait then BAM, back to my home screen. I thought it was lack of storage space so I deleted apps, photos, videos, AND IT WILL STILL NOT LET ME ACCESS IT. I’m honestly trying everything but nothing is working. I would delete the app but I DRAW EVERYTHING IN INTERNAL AND SINCE THERE IS NO TRANSFER BUTTON TO ONLINE— I’m stumped. I’m hoping you fix this issue cause this project took me at least a week and I’ll be sadden if it will all go to waste. Thank you for the app but THIS IS URGENT!

Limited Cloud Storage Capacity. Medibang is one of my favorite drawing apps. I’ve been using it free for years but I feel that it is unfair to be limiting the storage capacity for drawing especially for all the people who have used Medibang for a long time and no longer have access to their old artworks, having to pay to do so. It is very annoying to have to pay just to go back and save every drawing. Especially since I have not even known about the update until it happened. I love the program every update about having to paying to use the app makes me want to switch even more. I understand the company needs money for a variety of reasons, but restricting the user’s availability for the program is going to drive them away. Again, Medibang is a great app. I just think that the whole subscription update for the cloud is very frustrating.

An astounding app but........ I started using this app about a few weeks ago and I seem to get a hang of it. The tools were a bit confusing but I played around for a bit so that’s ok. I do have a little problem though. See, sometimes when I draw something, I want to rotate the object if it looks a little misplaced and make it look better. I pressed some rotation tools, but all it did was rotate just the canvas which wasn’t helping me quite a bit since the whole drawing moves and not the specific one I want. I tried to select it and rotate but still it rotated the whole drawing. I don’t know if there is an option on it but if there is, I would love to know where to find it. But if there isn’t one, I would suggest making a tool that rotates areas that you’ve chosen. Also this is one of the reasons why I gave it 4 stars since it’s all good but the rotation bugs me a bit. App crashes. I been using Medibang for two years now and I recently encountered a problem in the new update where I attempt saving a work and the screen just freezes. There are also times where the app just crashes and my work wasn’t saved. Please fix this.

Idk. I’m not complaining about anything except 1 thing: the category. This app is categorised as “entertainment” when it should be “creativity”. This isn’t too bad except my parents put screen time on my phone, shutting off all games and entertainment after an hour of usage. If the developers could change the category it would be really helpful! (＞人＜;) Otherwise good job developers!!

Glitches. This app is really good but for the past few days all the brushes aren’t working. I can only erase what i’ve done and not blur or smudge it. I can’t even chose brushes “Can not retrieve brushes” always comes up. Medibang please fix this as soon as possible.

Brushes aren’t working. The app updated in the middle of when I was drawing and (thankfully) it saved, but I tried to use one of the watercolour brushes and it was drawing like the pencil. Honest review from an Aussie indie gamedev (onedreamer). First off gonna say I haven't written a review in 2+ years so i hope this doesn't sound dodgy or fake, but I have to show my appreciation to whoever the devs are. Spent a lot of money on other apps looking for features similar to photoshop and was left very disappointed. Even adobes mobile apps are severely limited(no layers). Found this by luck through some random youtube video and seriously cant believe its not more popular (maybe just not in australia?). Its legitimately free, no catches, not even pay for upgrade or cloud. I Don't even know how that works and honestly would pay monthly for it. Imports and exports .psd files (95% of other apps will only EXPORT .psd), has almost all the ps tools (brush, paint bucket, wand, shapes etc) that were missing or limited in other apps, customisable shortcuts, fully functional layers (masks, overlay etc) and icloud drive. I have no idea how you guys make money, but I genuinely hope more artist find this gem. Please don't stop development. Thanks a lot from Australia!

Normally really good. I’ve been using this app for 3 years and I’ve loved it but recently I’ve had this problem of the all constantly shutting down and erasing my work, this can get extremely frustrating when it does this 5 times in a row. I really do hope this bug gets fixed.

Love it except for the bugs.. I love this app and have been using it for years. But recently there is a bug that’s annoying me. When you two finger undo it doesn’t recognise it and leaves dots instead. Happens 50% of the time you do a undo/redo gesture. Draw 10 lines, undo 10 times and it will recognise 5 of the taps as undo and leave dots for the times it doesn’t recognise a two finger tap. Thanks.

Best man. This is the best free software I have ever used. Many other drawing software like sketchbook while free to use, but to access all we use need to pay a charge. This app has none of those, completely free and the design and many of the features are on par if not better than some of those paid apps. I rarely write a review, but this app's awesomeness deserves a five star.

New update destroys transform tool. By increasing the size of the warp dots in the new update the warp tool is no longer feasible. I can’t see anything as it is covered by them and zooming doesn’t help. If I can’t see what I’m doing why would I use it? Please fix this

Great app! I use it to make all my art but. It freezes a lot, I can’t access anything and it’s quite frustrating. It’s only sometimes I get to look at my pieces. More often that not, tapping on ‘My Gallery’ completely freezes it and there where everything is!! :( it shouldn’t be this bad to use. Awesome Drawing Tools!. At first I didn’t know how advanced it was, but you can do so many things on the app! The bucket tool and everything works great, love the pens! You can do so much! The one thing is that for the transform tool, you have to transform the whole thing instead of just one thing you selected. For selecting, I don’t know how it works yet, so it may work fine and I don’t know. All in all, this is great!

many features, and easy to use ^_^. i have been using it for many years, it's great! recent issues i've had with it have been mostly resolved very quickly.

Buggy. Since the recent update, several features are broken. The hand tool no longer works, or at least it will work for a couple zoom in and outs, as well as I’m unable to use my fingers to move the canvas around after a few minutes of opening the canvas. As well as the main colour I’m using will display as transparent in the corner, so you never really know what colour your using unless drawing and hoping it’s what you need. Seems that no bugs were fixed, only added more. Really disappointed and hope this gets fixed ASAP.

Was good until.... I have been using Medibang Paint’s iPad app for a while and initially really liked it. It was the first “professional” looking app I’ve used and it worked really well for me. However recently I find that the app keeps freezing and I often have to save/close/reopen files while working on them because I can’t pinch zoom. It’s not even an issue with the amount of layers because the same thing happens even with a small amount of layers. I hope this gets fixed!

Probably the best free art program out there. As a starving artist, I struggle to find affordable art programs to forward my career . I’ve tried IbisPaint X, Autodesk sketchbook, Tayasui Sketches, etc, but none seemed to get the job done. But once I hopped onto MediBang, I found all the things I needed to create some spectacular art pieces ! The desktop version is practically flawless, and the only con I’d have to say is having to pay to move the layers around but to hell with it because they deserve the money. If you’re ever considering getting into the art world, I highly recommend buying this app before hopping onto the more pricy programs like Adobe. That’s all, and I hope y’all find this review rather helpful !!

Keeps crashing. Worked flawlessly on my iphone 6 before the newest update. Now it crashes whenever i try to open it. I’m really upset and hoping you can fix this soon because i was working on an art project for school and now i can’t access it :(

Google login. I tried logging in with google and I pressed continue as it asks me to allow them to log in with my google account. The application to allow was still there though. So I clicked continue multiple times and it was still there. Even if I pressed cancel, I couldn’t get the application off my screen. So I exited Medibang and it STILL was there. Then, I closed my device, hopping it will disappear and it was on my lock screen. Suddenly, I lost control of my device and couldn’t log in so I had to drain all my batteries to restart it. Then, it was gone. Also,, it said that it will allow Medibang to share my information if I pressed continue...

Wish it worked the way it used too.. I have used this app for years now, and up until a few nights ago it was my favourite drawing app, but now when I am using it it will completely exit me out of the app when I’m in the middle of drawing, sometimes deleting everything I’ve worked on. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and restarting my phone, but it’s still happening and I have had to re draw the same thing about four times now and at this point it’s just becoming agitating to need to spend hours redrawing what I’ve drawn three times before and then having it all disappear without warning for no reason. If this problem gets fixed I will happily give five stars. I’m guessing maybe it’s a problem with the update but I don’t know.

Great But Paywall. I like the app a lot, but it won’t let you reorganize the layers, something I find quite crucial, unless you pay. There are however many pros to this app, but if you could change the aforementioned paywall thing it could be even better!

Astounding app ♢♦︎. I’ve been using MediBang for nearly the same length of time it’s been available on the computer. I have it on every one of my devices and use it professionally as well as casually, and it’s just a really solid program! I just recently got a new iPad and Apple Pencil and of course I downloaded MediBang right away and it’s just as good as if I were drawing on my cintiq and laptop! Absolutely wonderful app that’s simple yet powerful enough for some real serious drawings 💙

Great all around app. For a free app, you will be hard pressed to find any other apps that are this versatile. I am very satisfied with this app. I only ask the developers to keep implementing more features so I can have a photoshop type app on mobile. I notice it allows importing of pictures from your library. I know this is a drawing app, but because it is already feature-rich, I would ask that you please add photo editing features to make it a photoshop mobile app for painting and editing.

Premium+Timelapse. I've been using this app for years. I paid for a one-time payment some time ago to remove ads and unlock the folders, but it was recently changed to a monthly subscription. And now my one-time payment is gone. I'd like an option to do another one-time payment instead of just premium, if possible please. It will help anyone who doesn't have a steady income but want to support the app. Also, I love the new timelapse feature. It's easy to use and fun to play around with.

Good, but small technical problem.... I love this app. I’ve been using it for years and use it for almost everything I do in art. The new update is completely messed up my art process. Whenever I select on layer, it automatically selects colors similar to the area I’m selecting. Is there a way to turn this off? I do a lot of lineless art and it is messing up my process... I also have a deadline I’m trying to meet and it doesn’t look possible as of right now. Please fix this.

Love this app but there is a small problem. I love this app and how it gives you access to multiple layers and paint tools, but there is something wrong. I don’t really like how the canvas keeps turning upside down and side to side while I’m drawing, it annoys me. I think there should be a tab where it allows you to do this instead of it happening while you are drawing. other than that, it’s a great app and I would recommend it for anyone who loves to draw digitally.

I like it but I think it’s better on desktop. I personally never used desktop version of this but by looking at some videos on people speed drawing and stuff it does look a lot better. I also tried the app seems a bit complicated to me so I didn’t enjoy it very much but I would recommend to an artist a beginner artist because I feel like a beginner artist could get a used to this a lot more than I can but I will give this a 4 out of 5 stars

What happened??. Im very reliant on the tones that are set here in medibang to add some pizzaz to my art but after the update, i cannot upload any of the *preset* tones in medibang to my canvas without "a network connection error occured" when i am both online and offline. Also the text feature does not work at all, same thing happens where it loads but doesnt upload without "a network connection error occured" despite being connected to the internet. Another issue is with the watercolor brushes, they've definitely regressed since the update, looking more so like those marker pens you'd use in an instagram story than actual art, it just layers on itself one you start making another brush stroke

New update is awful. I’ve been using this app as my main art software for more than a year now and I’ve never had any issues until about a week ago, One day when I opened the app suddenly the loading screen was clunky and low res and all the tools were out of wack. The airbrush didn’t work, textures brushed just didn’t appear. And now the magic want selection tool is acting glitchier than ever. It’s very frustrating that an app that I love has been so easily spoiled in the blink of an eye. I’m really hoping it’s fixed soon and the ability to select different colors with the magic wand tool is restored.

In love 👏🏼. I simply love this app! it’s not like others, well..it MIGHT be like others, but I love going to the competition and seeing all the lovely art 😊 I fall I love with all the art I see, I’m getting good at shading and everything else, it’s better then most art apps in my opinion! I have tons of art apps, none work like this one, it’s great with editing my characters in a specific game I love to play!! I highly suggest this art app, over all just 5 stars 😁

Now has cloud storage limit and can’t access files. This was a great art program that I would recommend to artist looking for a free app, but yesterday I found out that they changed their cloud to limited storage unless you pay for a subscription. The problem is that I‘ve worked with this program for years and had a lot of files beyond the free limit saved and now I can’t download load them back. I noticed that I can delete older versions of the drawing on the laptop version but It’s very time consuming. A lot of users like myself was not prepared for this change. Medibang creators, please fix it to where our art can be accessed again.

Amazing. I have tried using procreate pocket. It was ok but didn’t have the best tools and the pressure sensitivity settings were confusing. It also had some sort of a learning curve. With MediBang I didn’t need to look at any tutorials. Everything was straight forward and easy. Knowing that this is free made this my favorite digital art app. It had so many tools only for free. I thought of purchasing the pro version but this was already so great that I didn’t need. It was so easy to create mangas and comics on this. I was so impressed!

Expectations: b l o w n a w a y. As a artist who mainly does traditional art, I wanted to switch it up every once and awhile. This was my first art program I’ve ever worked with, and let me tell you, I don’t plan on switching programs. I might get a tablet, just to increase the comfortability when drawing, as I’m drawing on my phone, even then I still recommend it to beginners artists who want to pick up digital or even art in general. I totally recommend this, and it doesn’t even hurt to try it out, as the price is free?! What’s there to lose?

Amazing!. I had this for a while now and I love it! There are many different tools to use which make me feel like a professional (which I am not) and I can't find any problems with this app. Eventually you get the hang of it and start using it quite often. Well for me that is. And I find it cool how you can change the size of your canvas. I see that others hard work just vanish. Yikes I hope that doesn't happen to me. Anyways this app is great and it gets my five stars!

update. medibang has always been my go-to app for years, but this recent update is just not it. constant ads, which were bearable at most, and now massive ads at the top of the screen while I try to work on art? not surprised to see so many people complaining already. and another thing that was ruined; if you are someone who uses a lot of different brushes, or switch in between brush frequently, the new update makes it so every single time you need to switch to a different brush it brings you at the very top of the brush list and you will need to keep scrolling down each time… very inconvenient.

app crashes after latest update. i ADORE medibang for my phone, i always use it to make edits or color, even make memes. but recently, every time i try to use the text tool, the app freezes for 10 seconds, then crashes. the UI when selecting a tool also looks a bit wonkier than it used to, very slightly cutting off the icons to the left. please please see if the new update messed up something related to this!! i dont want to have to use another art app because this one is just so perfect 💔😭 thank youu

drawings gone. MediBang kept crashing every time I tried to use it today I couldn’t do anything because it always crashed. Then I reset my phone and I tried to get back in but it crashed again and this time all my drawings were gone! I tried to logout and log back in and I didn’t get anyone of my drawings back whatsoever, all I got were the sample drawings you guys give. I think there should be a method where if you log back into your MediBang account you get all of your drawings restored.

Good, but.... Listen. I’ve used this program for a good 4 years now, and honestly it’s one of the best apps I’ve used for art. I really love all the things that it provides the user for art, and especially for it being free gives it a lot more value. However, every time I get off the app to look at another app, either my work gets LOST (no way of getting it back, like I closed the app and nothing was left behind) or it reminds me that the app crashed and wanted to reload my other artwork, WHICH BRINGS IT BACK TO THE BEGINNING. Not to mention, how LONG it takes to save photo. If it’s about 15+ layers, it’ll take one-two minutes to save the darn artwork. It really is atrocious and tedious to wait for such a simple save, but I’m not sure why that happens. Finally, my app crashes whenever I try to export a photo to my album. About 15+ times the app crashed when I tried to save an artwork, and so I can’t save it unless I upload it to the cloud and download it off my computer(I have the same drawing app on my laptop). Completely outrageous!

Great But.... This app is actually really great and I enjoy it a lot! My only problem is that there is no option where you can rotate a part of your drawing. Like maybe I misplaced a part of the arm and I didn’t want to go ahead and waste time redrawing it in the desired way I wanted it to look so I simply use the select tool and rotate the arms but this app doesn’t have that. I’m using a phone so yeah it’s difficult already making art but I don’t have a tablet or a bigger device so it would make it easier if you could make it so you can rotate things. Kicking me off, but otherwise amazing. Hi, so..... this app was great, tons of brushes, really intuitive, and I have made some really cool art on here. But note the “was.” Up until this morning everything was fine. But then suddenly, the app decided to kick me literally every two minutes. And I lose a TON of progress. Granted, the IPhone I’m using is really old, but other reviews say they’re having similar problems, so it might be the app itself. Please please fix this!

I love this app! (I have a suggestion tho). This app is great. I have it on like 3 different devices. My favorite is the version on my phone so far. It’s not hard to use, but can help make so many different kinds of art. :D If you want an art app, try this one! As for my suggestion, could you guys(the developers) pls make is possible to animate with this app? I know I’m not the only person to ask for this, and for good reason. I feel that the functions of this app would be so useful while animating.

Art mouse 🐭🖌. This app is the best digital art software. I am able to use it anywhere I go and do my artwork on it. It offers a wide verity of tools and brushes. Ever since I got this app it has made me even better at drawing. I entered one of my drawing in a school project and got extra points for creativity. I was even able to turn in my art work in for my art class. This platform is very fun to use and very useful. I recommend this app to anyone who does digital art.

Long Time Customer. Like the title says, I have been using MediBang for a couple years now. About five or six years. The interface is simple, easy-to-use, the features are incredible for it being free, it’s very easy to switch from computer to phone and vice versa. I am a traditional artist and I use MediBang to digitize my artwork so I can sell it for prints and such. I have tried other programs but nothing beats MediBang. I definitely recommend even if you use it for fun or make art as a hobby.

By far one of my favorite apps. This software is amazing. It is the only software that I’ve seen that has allowed me to digitize my art so well. There is one problem that I have with it though… There’s no clone stamp tool. Now I know you can just copy and paste different parts of an image to put over something else but it would just be way easier if I had a clone stamp. I also really like the community art page I get a lot of inspiration from there. Other than that yeah it’s a great app… Enough said.

Great app! Just one suggestion.... Hello, you have created a wonderful app!!! I use it all the time when creating digital art, and I love all of the features, tools, brushes, etc. I just have one suggestion: Add a “copy color” tool. What I mean by this is creating a tool where, for example, you click a color and the exact color will be copied, then choose your desired brush, and then you will be able to draw/paint with a certain color without going through the trouble of trying to match the exact color of your piece. I think this would be a wonderful feature that multiple people could find useful. I do digital horse art, and matching the exact color of the horse is quite difficult at times, especially with horses with unique coat colors. I would LOVE to see this in the app!!! Thanks!! :)

I love this app. I’ve been using this app for a couple of months now & so far it has been amazing I’ve been able to figure out some of the settings and tools that works really well with my sketches, Art projects...it’s just That whenever I updated it I gotta check to see if it still logged in but other than that I’m enjoying this app. Plus this my first time using a digital art before 😅👍🏼

Pretty good for illustration, bad for painting. Medibang is a fairly good program for making clean and neat illustrations. But that’s about it. The paintbrushes and more “complex “ brushes usually are hard and complicated to change setting wise, and are less fun as they’re extremely hard to blend with, as there’s no pressure settings like on ibis paint. Medibang is a stronger program for if you’re trying to be beat and clean with minimalistic and smooth art vs a all around art program. The only other thing is that there’s a ton of menus you have to go through to use stuff like the select tool, but you kinda get used to it after a bit.

Please fix your bugs. The app is good and all, but I can’t do things easily, and others I can’t do anything at all, my main problem here is putting a text and literally cant shrink the text to how I want it, and the text is humongous and I literally have tried to shrink it in different ways and nothing works. So please fix that bug, I beg you, I’ve been looking for an app that can deal with comics and this app is perfect for it, but the only thing that stops me from proceeding is that small detail.

Free Photoshop. Basically the most user-friendly photoshop or digital art software ever. I have used this app for a while now, and anyone that is even somewhat interested can learn the makeup and capabilities in a relatively short time. I have this on 3 devices across my home and have loved using it every second. Honestly prefer the mobile version over the desktop for some reason.

Almost perfect.... I have had 2 issues during my use of this app. Only 2, but they're pretty big. So for starters, it crashes, which is super annoying to say the least. Second, you can't make a custom brush. You can make a pattern brush, but that isn't the same thing. I'd like to see the ability to make a custom brush be enabled in the app (I believe it's possible in PC) and if that happens, I'll give this app 5 stars because although they're annoying, crashes are just an inconvenience. Crashing. Hey, I’ve been an advocate user on media bang and there’s something I just don’t get.. THE CRASHING, originally I used media bang on my computer. Everything would be all handy dandy until it crashes . So I was like okay maybe I should try using media bang pro on my tablet! So I’ve done so, regarding on my past mistakes by using media bang in the past..I resort to saving 24/7 UNTIL BOOM it crashes! So at first I didn’t think to much of it because i kept saving. But once I got back on that app ALL OF MY WORK WAS GONE! It’s like nothing I had saved was even THERE. Am I doing something wrong?

One little problem.. The app is great for creating art. But I have one small issue. The newest update has created a bug where when exporting the image to the camera roll, after saving or even opening the menu for where to save it, you cannot close it, not will it close itself when it saves the image, forcing you to close the app, then load it up again. Is there any way to fix this? Cause looking at the support site isn’t really helping.

I found it perfect!!. One day I saw my friend draw her original characters on Medibang Paint and I thought, “Gee, that seems like a cool drawing program.” So I went ahead and got it. It has changed my artistic life. It gives you a variety of brushes to use, and the reason why I prefer it more than other drawing apps like IbisPaint is because you can export your images with a transparent background, which makes it easier to use in animations and such. I highly recommend it!!

Ok, problem needs fixing. I’ll admit, i love this app, it’s allowed me to make tons of great art. Though because of the recent update, i can’t. While lots of good things were added with the recent update there was one bad part, whenever i try to zoom in the screen rotates, i don’t want the screen to rotate every time i zoom in. If theres a way to lock the canvas so it doesn’t rotate then ball all means tell me, because i’ve searched for an option to do this and i couldn’t find one. The only thing i have to say is please fix this.

Pretty good app!. It’s amazing and I didn’t regret getting it but the problems are I’m on iPad and it’s hard to see on that teeny weeny screen. I think my second problem is just my problem personally but my stylist is kind of hard to use on the app but I think it’s just a problem with my stylist. So, overall, amazing app! But if anyone knows how to get the screen not so small, please tell me!

Three stars is probably a bit much:. I wouldn’t recommend this unless you REALLY need to draw, it tends to crash and switching tools can freeze the whole app, so don’t expect to be able to pull off anything other than a sketch and doodle. I tend to travel and forget my sketchbook every once in a while so that’s when i use this or when i’m bored; point is this has a lot of bugs and if you want a challenge or want to make a funny quick drawing to get the hang of practicing art then sure if you are patient then get the app

Great app!. This app is a really great one to get if you want a higher quality free paint app!! It has tons of brushes and is really great! Would definitely recommend!! Edit: whenever I try to open a canvas it crashes- I don’t know how to fix this and I’m hoping it’s just a bug that they’ll fix soon- but I have several payments I need to work on and I can’t do those if I can’t open a canvas Edit #2: they have fixed it! Great app!!

Amazing but there’s a huge problem. I’ve been using this app for a little under a year now and it’s been absolutely amazing! but for some reason whenever I open it now it crashes automatically I’ve tried rebooting my phone and reloading the app but even if it doesn’t crash when I open the app it crashes when I try to open a canvas. I’m not sure what to do about it because I don’t want to delete the app and loose a years worth of unsaved drawings. It was never like this before so I’m not sure what happened.

Although it is amazing.... MediBang never seems to save my work. Even if I manually save it myself, there are several instances where I come back to the canvas and it’s just blank. It makes me demotivated every time, and makes me want to delete the app altogether on several occasions. I’m not sure if anyone else has come across this. Because of this, I’ve probably only been able to complete 1/4 of the drawings I’ve done in the past month or so. I love all the brushes, especially the pressure sensitivity, but it’s hard to love a program that won’t even save my own work I spend hours upon hours on.

Subscription to remove ads?. I don’t mind paying a subscription if it’s for something I deem worth it. Cloud Backup that’s more than fine, Specially Brushed ok, Special features fine. But asking a customer to pay a subscription to remove ads is a no-go. In my opinion no application should have a subscription paywall behind removing ads. It’s just not consumer friendly. More times than not it’s going to annoy your customers. Especially when it used to be a one time $5.99 IAP. It you needed more money I would have started with increasing the price to remove ads not making it a subscription service…

Looks like an amazing app, but Is there a color picker??. Man when I first opened this app I was blown away by the Awesome!! that just poured out from the tool and community alike, there is soooooo much even on the iPhone and very well compact so it doesn’t clutter and you can put things away if it gets in the way of the canvas. With all that said I am so shocked with just about everything you could ask for in this app ,why there is not a color picker to easily pick colors or tones from the canvas. I see it on the bottom panel but it would be nice to just press on the screen to use it instead of having to select the icon every time. Just a small request to add a color picker and perhaps a preset brush panel that you can move around the canvas and select preset tools at your disposal. Or is there an option to do this already that I’m not seeing? I still can’t wait to dig into what looks like an amazing app regardless!!

GOOD; BUT COULD BE MUCH BETTER!!!. This app is honestly one of my favorite drawing apps, as it’s great for lines. The pen tool is my favorite thing ever; and the sleek design of the app is really great. HOWEVER!!!!! I’m always having to switch between procreate and Medibang because there isn’t the tone curve tool!! I know that the tone curve is on the Mac version, and so is the chromatic abbreviation; yet for some reason it hasn’t been added here. If medibang had those two things, then I’d consider Medibang to be the best drawing app. So I’m giving it a 3 just because this app can be so much better yet it’s left in the dust.

Hhhhhfkg. This app used to be super easy to use, but with recent updates it feels like every step taken forward is two steps back. First it was the ad on top of the 'submit art' button that made it impossible for me to post art until the next update, then it was the ads crashing the app, and I've tried multiple times to open the app today, just for it to crash after about 10 seconds. I don't know what happened, and it's really unfortunate because this is the main art software I use to work, but if these setbacks keep happening I think it might be worth it to find something else.

My favorite program! (+ a little suggestion). Let me start by saying that this is my favorite drawing program because of all the options and the brush library that's constantly being updated. The free version (the one I use) still has most of the options unlocked so you're not blocked by a pay wall for any standard functions! My only suggestion is that it might be nice to be able to create multiple separate palettes instead of just the one but it's still a wonderful app nonetheless! Have a wonderful day :)

Great, but there’s a few issues lately... So I’ve been using MediBang for years now for drawing on my mobile devices. I think it’s great! But as of recent, it keeps freezing up and I have to close and re-open the app to fix it. It’s very inconvenient because it happens frequently. And also, the points to change the size/shape of things with the transform tool are way too large and get in the way of seeing part of the drawing. I think they should be shrunk at least a little because it’s very annoying. Otherwise, I recommend :]

The best I’ve used. This is probably the best free art program I’ve ever used. It has similar features to photoshop, and being someone who uses photoshop often, I personally believe that this program is much more user friendly and easier to use as a drawing program than photoshop is. It’s amazing, I highly recommend MediBang and I make sure to tell as many of my friends who are interested in digital art as I can. 11/10, will probably be using this program for the rest of my life.

I like it but...... I like this app but for me it is glitchy. It is better in Ipad but if you do not want to buy a app get this app. It is better then other apps this is a good But it is not better then procreate. This is the closest thing to procreate , the only setback is that it is a bit complicated,I have not used it for a long time, but if you get used to it you may make masterpieces , one of the best free drawing apps out there. If you are a Digital artist like me I think you would like it.

Amazing app but disappointed... I have been using MediBang years and have had no problems whatsoever. Recently, I got the new update and now the app closes immediately when I try to open Gallery or Everyone’s Art. I can’t finish any pieces and am disappointed that such a reliable app has failed me. Please look into fixing this. Btw no more updates are available so I can’t update it currently to fix it

Doesn’t save internal art. I’ve had MediBang paint for 2 years on my Samsung tablet. I got a phone so I logged in and boom all my art is there and yea I was happy. A year later the app kept crashing I was frustrated so I deleted the app and redownloaded again and I logged in and I tought everything I’ve saved for 3 years will be there but no everything is gone all of my hard work gone. I just hope there’s a solution please I really need to recover all the pieces I’ve done. Overall the app is great but this is the most concerning that has happened to me, because I have a lot of commission art that I have there and I don’t want to restart all of it please fix this issue.

Good for a free app. I used this app for probably a year and soon moved to the app procreate pocket (it’s $5.00) If you want a good app for free or commend this or ibis paint but if your looking for lots of features and brushes this app is great although I know ibis paint is still really good for the year I’ve used this it has been great lots of brushes layers are great the layers can have a couple of changes like having more layer feature but over all it’s a great free drawing app I recommend it to anybody who wants to draw on an iPhone or ipad

It’s the best I’ve ever found!!. So my best friend showed me this app. She said that it’s all free but it has everything! I’ve never had much control with my hand physically with certain things but with this I’ve been able to do so much more. It’s so nice and they have everything an artist could want to me. Don’t think you’ll ever regret it! Just take your time to truly understand how to work it and soon you’ll be up and running.
