Free with huge potential. Downloaded the apps while ago and just u til now I started learning to use it. Love the plethora of tools at your fingertips and the help next to them if one chooses to view it. Yet I find myself lost quite often and there are no tutorials. As a beginner to 3D I really would like to give it more stars. I just noticed it’s been a year and nothing has happened to the app. Makes me sad to see such talent toned wasted I cool yet complicated apps like this. Just a suggestion, contact Blender and over the app as a Blender for iPad companion and have more collaboration thrown at it. Don’t let it die!

Great app. However ..... This app is everything I want in a 3D modeling app on my iPad. I just with that there were Videos on how to work the app and all of its features and how to make some figures, for example a video titled “how to make the human figure”. And videos on how to animate the human figure as well. I see the greatness in this app but some detailed videos on how to properly use it and the features will be very appreciated.

Porn next to child specific art. I saw someone mention this and had to see for myself. The developer response is disgusting in that no apologies were made and no attempt to correct it. It may not be possible to filter out adult material but you can change the age rating and you can also go in and remove those things. And telling people how they should view this is not the proper response. Some people do not want their children exposed to pornography in what should be a learning tool. Do better. __________________________ The thumbnail has not been removed, nor .dae file has not been removed. Developers have always provided their own app support. So since you cannot be bothered to support your app, be sure that will alert Apple of what I see. Passing the buck on and saying it’s Apple not acceptable.

Great. I love it. I love it so much! I think it’s a great idea. In fact, I love it so much it’s inspired me to start creating something like it. Do you guys have any advice on how to make it? I could really use some as a beginner programmer.

Amazing app! Eh ui.. This app is amazing and Its very impressive. When I first got it I was amazed at what you could do. I love using blender and I know quite a bit about it but the ui for this app is a lot more confusing. I find myself often times getting lost in the ui. I would be looking around and then I wouldn’t know how to get back! Please enhance the ui and make it easier to understand! Thanks for the great app though! (I will change my star rating if the ui gets an upgrade)

Hard to rate. I have been doing AR art design for awhile now and have tried pretty much every app related to 3D design. This app had me so excited because of its features, unfortunately it is not intuitive. I usually pick up basics of apps pretty fast but not here. For starters my works view is only displayed and usable on half of my screen. And the tool bar on the left has rows with information in them but for some reason it does not show up displayed so I have to blindly guess what I’m clicking. I’ve tried using the help bubbles but it still won’t allow me to do anything other than view my objects. If I could get this to work at fraction of what it is supposed to do I will be more than satisfied, but I fear I’m going to have to take weeks to figure it out while opportunities pass me by. I’m not saying this is a bad app, I’m just wishing there was a possibility for me to utilize it.

Generally needs Fixing.... I love this app, for my first time doing 3d modeling it's great! There's just one issue I have... I just spent an entire day making and rigging a model. My phone likes to close my apps when it feels it's using too much space. So the app closed. I saved right before it did, but now I can't load it into the editor to finish it! I'm afraid I'll lose that save somehow and have lost all my progress, that's I'll have gotten this app for nothing. Can you please fix this issue as soon as possible? Yes I edited this to 'complain' more, or rather bring up issues I'm having. I can't find any other 3d modeling program that can import the files I can output on this app so I'm stuck trying to work with this. More importantly, I've had sevral issues saving complicated designs. I can easily save them, but it's getting them to load that's the issue. When I can get them to load, the colors are all screwed up and messy. Finally, when I try to turn on editing and have the plain meshes/faces (just the gray one) it immediately crashes/closes the app. Also there needs to be an easy way to separate selected vertices from their current object to make those vertices a separate object themselves.

Meh. As others have said a tutorial would be very nice. How do I select an object to move it around? It seems once I place it I can’t move it anymore. Also sometimes the object gets stuck on a plane and I can’t move anywhere accept two directions. A tutorial would be nice to help me figure this and other problems out.

Goooooooooooooooood game. I love this game. I couldn’t find a game the didn’t cost money but this is the game that you don’t need to pay to play. I do programming and 3D modeling so it might be only me but this is the perfect game to make 3D things. It is hard to do thinks but it is hard to 3D model too so I don’t mind. The people that say “I don’t know what to do.” or “hard to do things.” I think that they should learn how to 3D model first. Sorry if I am being rude I didn’t mean to be rude🙇‍♀️ §

Best 3D model editing app on the iPad and Free! (although not so intuitive to use). This app allows iPad users to create, load, edit, and save 3D models and assorted meshes all on the iPad which is very impressive— and free! As others have mentioned though packed with features that work well, it is not intuitive on how to use all of the app’s features. The developer does provide a link to a website which describes some more of the features use but it still takes some time experimenting with the app until the user is able to unlock its potential. My only stumbling block I’ve run into is that the app sometime crashes when it tries to save models I’ve loaded into it; I suspect it might have to do with the size of the models I’ve loaded but am not sure. It would be helpful if the developer were to develop a forum site for a community of users to help each other learn how to use the app to its full potential and in which users could report bugs or feature requests to the developer. I commend the developer in creating such a powerful app for iPad users and releasing it for free!

What do I do?. Listen, it seems like a good game. Good graphics, no bugs, all sunshine and daisies, huh? Not for me. I have no idea how to use any of the objects or tools because of a lack of a tutorial. All games (even if you are good at these) and apps like these should have a tutorial. All I figured out how to do was place shapes, and that was it. I’d give it four stars, but I have no idea how to do anything in this app. I’d love for you to add a tutorial. Thanks

Very awesome!!!. It's a really awesome app for a fellow 3D artist !!!!its super cool . You can add bones and all and even animate but it's also a very confusing app because of tooooooooooooo much option I guess as a result it's very complicated so making it simple in a new update will really help and also adding a dark mode function will really be awesome !!!!

How to load model from local storage?. Not a clue anywhere, if you get stuck with this app, you are really stuck. Help...not really helpful. To clarify, the problem is that the “Help” button refers to an undefined “main menu” (putting icon here would help). Both of the helps are sketchy, the in app and the on line on website, so the app lacks discoverability. With such a complicated app, discoverability is crucial. If you contact me directly, I’ll be happy to assist in finding and fixing these discoverability issues.

Horrible UI. I was overjoyed to finally find an app that had the trademarks of Maya and blender. This app is everything I could ever need for game design. However the ui makes the app unusable. Every time I want do do something I have to scroll and search for the correct button. Every time I try to move the icons to set up a more easily usable interface, they reset on me the next time I open the app or just refuse to move in the first place. The vertex grab points are tiny even on max size so I have to constantly zoom in and out to select things properly and the rotation is on a hair trigger. The worst part is that the developers seem to not care. Almost all reviews mention the horrible ui and the developers seem to just laugh it off with a thanks for your review. This could be the leading 3D modeling app for the iPhone/ IPad but as it is now it’s unusable for making anything in a timely manner.

Great stuff here!. This is the best solution I’ve found so far, WOW! I agree that there could be better instructions, but if you’re familiar with another 3d modeling program like Maya it is not too terrible to try to figure this out, just takes more time than it should. In all, there are a lot of amazing features here, and there should be NOBODY complaining about ANYTHING, it’s FREE, people!!!! Think of how much time it took the developers to create this!

Help me.. Hello developer I just like to say that your app is a really interesting program but I have some problems with the app first of all the only thing I Learned was how to make a box that’s all and why is there no video tutorial on how to use every tool in the app? And why is it that you can’t save your projects? It seems that it’s a bit out dated and not as fun to use? Developers if your reading this just know that it would mean a lot to people if you made it better and more easy to use and maybe not so complicated? Developers can you help me out with a long tutorial or maybe a in app message if you can? It would be nice developer.

Can’t save :/. For my first 3D modeling experience, this app was pretty good. But it never saved my work when i exited the app and the interface was blank. When I wanted to create a new piece I had to guess where the blank canvas button was. I also had an issue with the hide tool because when I used it, it deleted all of my work.

hr. very nice 😮 complex esp on little iphones all the instructions are there but you gotta keep asking what did i do wrong and logically learn but this is the App for 3d design built around Open Subdiv project and more, helps to know blender hierarchy type of objects ... but how does the interactive stage work?? also a support forum or email would rock maybe if someone makes some instructional object for people who never did any modeling or a video... a very nice tool ill buy it soon

Good, but confusing. I used this app to start modeling. I opened it for the first time, and I had no idea what anything was. No tutorial at the start. No descriptions of what each tool is. Would I recommend it for beginners? No. I wouldn’t. I would give a higher rating if tutorials or instructions on how to do things were given.

Has potential?. Just revisited this app (2021). No updates for awhile. I could not find any instructions or help features. Just a bunch of buttons on the right, which I have no idea what they do. By pressing random buttons, I created an (AR) 3D model of my face on my iPad Pro. Therefore, this app must have potential, if I only knew how to use it! Please, we need some online written instructions, or in-app. If they are there, I cannot find them. I'd love to be able to create something with Sketch 3D.

Would be great. I feel bad for the title, but I can't really understand what all everything is for, I get that it's free, but in order for more people to use your gift to them more effectively I recommend a "what's that?" button once selected click on any tool that confuses you, and it explain and provides visual examples. But again, I recognize that this program is for free.

What Even-. This app feels better than it should be for free. Even with the learning curve I still know what’s happening. I am speechless. Rigging without blowing my phone up?! How do you do it?!! AND THIS APP IS FREE

I wish there could be a symbol for rotating and scaling. When I rotate or scale it rotates and scales in all axis’s. I wish you would add symbols, or at least when you double-tap one axis on the move symbol the rotating and scaling would also only go on one axis, but this app is already very good and powerful and I’m glad that its free.

Used to work but doesn’t now. A few weeks ago it worked fine. Now I get the opening screen briefly which then disappears, leaving me at my iPad desktop. If I swipe up I see it with all the other open apps but there’s no way to actually use it. There is also nowhere to report bugs except in the reviews. Nothing left I can do except delete the app.

Right when I logged on.. I am rating this game 1 star because right when I got on the game I couldn’t touch anything like it froze badly. I tried to go to the home screen but it froze so badly I couldn’t go. So I turned off my iPad. I couldn’t even turn it on. Like 5 minutes later it turns on. I was so freaked out that right when I got back on my iPad I deleted the game. I could of lost my iPad forever. Thank you that I got back on. Probably the worst glitch or game I got in my life.

Invisible text when using Dark Mode. The text turns white with dark mode but the menu backgrounds stay white. So it appears like it’s missing. I couldn’t find a way to get it to have dark backgrounds, but disabling dark mode works fine. The in app help is definitely helpful once you can read it. Pretty straightforward once I could see the text.

Lasso. This app probably the closest to best for poly modeling for the iPad, and looked almost every one there. It feels that app was designed mostly for touch usage, but with pencil I always want to use as a mouse in desktop apps like Maya, Cinema 4D, or 3DS Max, lasso selection, or paint as C4D, to shorten the time of selections. Custom background color would be a plus as well. Honestly already with just this app, pre-modeling could be done on the iPad, and it is exactly what I was looking for. Onscreen buttons could be helpful as well, like hold shift and drag to extrude, double tap to loop selection. Anyway huge thanks for the effort you’re doing to make the app. Also maybe better to rename it, App Store has the same name app, with less functionality and paid one. Can’t imagine that big companies still not here.

User Interface is THE problem. Attempting to use this app at all is close to impossible thanks to the Leggos-in-a-big-cardboard-box ‘organization’ of the user interface. The app seems to have great power/potential to be a substantial box modelling solution for iPadOS. But all of that potential is hidden behind a UI that has the same color, iconography, and organization one would find in a grandmother’s shelf full of collectible porcelain figurines. Hire a UX/UI designer, or sell the company to a larger company that has done this kind of thing before. This app gets an “A” for “almost”.

The only serious 3D app out here.. If you're an actual pro this is the only app that will somewhat fulfill the needs you have. Don't waste time or money on the others, I did and in the end I will be using this and Blnder as always. Free stuff is incredible sometimes. Thanks! Pls make tutorials though, I've been exploring this for hours to identify what button does what, it would be nice to have some context. The UI is horrible, but this is really the only serious 3D app out here so I don't really care anyway. As you can see, I still give it 5 stars and that is simply because no one else has filled this niche. Congrats 👍🏼

Really great but . . .. It is just really complicated and I don’t know how to scale the cube into a rectangle. I even went to the website to see all of the different features and how they work but it doesn’t have my answer. Also I have a little difficulty with the texture mapping. It would help a lot if you could zoom in as much as you want. Anyways this is a great app.

I cannot believe how good this is.. This is any desktop 3d programme on iphone and ipad for modelling, eg, touch the screen with four fingers and you have your quad. I was totally blown. This app needs to succeed. There’s just one very important thing that Is missing or that I couldn’t figure out: the ability to restrict movement to a single axis. If it doesn’t exist, pleeeeeease add! That would be a game changer. I’m giving it 4.5 stars as it is.

Can’t seem to figure anything out... I was SUPER excited when I found this app. My computer broke down and I have a real itch to create something again. But I can’t seem to figure a single thing out. I can’t find a tutorial anywhere on the internet about this app. I can’t figure out what the buttons do. I can’t even figure out how to select vertices, edges, or faces. I can’t figure out how to scale or rotate if I do have them selected. 4 stars just cause I know it can do many things, but I have absolutely no idea how to do them..

It’s great but... 🤔. I really do enjoy the app! It’s a very nice app I can use for projects and other things. It works just like other 3d modeling software like Blender, 3ds Max, etc. But there are also some flaws. For example, when I try to upload a texture for a model, the app crashes. Sometimes, when I try to open a model I created, some objects are not there. Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong or is it an issue with the app? Thanks! :)

Could be great. Looks like a lot of features! However user interface (ui) prevents us from using it to its potential. Spent 20 minutes trying to do simple import of fbx or glb. Either it didn’t work, or I am using it incorrectly. Hard to tell.

WOW!. I have not even begun to explore all of the features available in this app, but as a veteran 3D CAD user I can tell that the most important functionality is in the app, waiting to be discovered. When comprehensive tutorials become available, I would give the app TEN stars (if I could), and I would pay a very hefty ONE TIME FEE (Subscription plans are doomed to fail; TAKE NOTE!), if the app is converted into a paid-product. Sketch 3D is what the iPad has needed for a while now. Sorry, OnShape, 3D Creator, and others like those are stupidly modeled on a “pay-us-forever” plan, and as good as these may perform, the hobbyist is not going to pay for a subscription, even if they can afford it, like I can, since I won’t buy-in to any software subscription plan, EVER!

I need help I can’t make things small or big 🤔🤔🤔. I got the app and I can’t figure out how to make things small or big and I forgot how to turn objects😐so if you/the Developer can respond to my comment on the game and help me out…plz😉😉😉

Helpful?. I was really excited to see this app, but I wanted to learn how to model something myself and animate it, but there is no tutorial. I am trying to figure out how to model a dragon and all I can get is a lopsided rectangle. I have searched tutorials online but can’t find any. Please add some tutorials ^^

Pretty good but. Ok look I use blender a lot and I was just going to test a quick donut nothing fancy first I couldn’t find a torus also when I loaded in the interface was very clunky but is you know how to use this app in sure you can figure a way around it

Fun, but some of the mysteries are hard to solve. There are many different ways to find help in this app, but there are actions and buttons that don’t seem to do the same things consistently. It can get frustrating.

Looks great, BUT...... So, playing around with the app, it looks like it has some great features and is capable of some amazing things- BUT, there are simple things that just.... aren’t intuitive. The main toolbar, for example. It has a couple big, clearly marked buttons to close it out of the way- But I cannot for the life of me figure out how to OPEN it again without quitting and restarting the app. I’ve clicked every visible icon, tried tapping and sliding from every edge and corner, nada. I can even open the help tags for all of the toolbar items- WITHOUT ACTUALLY OPENING THE TOOLBAR. Just a list of descriptions of the buttons which were there a minute ago, and no clue how to bring them back.

The app is very good, just difficult to learn. The app is rich with features, and offers a multitude of tools to design and 3D model. A tutorial at the beginning for the app would really improve the user experience and make the app more learnable. An excellent example of such a tutorial at the beginning of the app for a new user is the app Shapr3D. Sketch 3D is better in every way except for the tutorial at the beginning that walks you through getting started, and shows the user a little video tutorial for each feature, and is simpler. I once again reiterate that sketch 3D is more full-featured, but the multitude of features resulted in a more difficult experience getting started. Developers, I would be more than willing to change my rating once a tutorial feature is added. For now, I will continue to fight shapr3d until I can find the time to dedicate hours to learning sketch3d

Please fix the blank menu on iPad. I like this app very much. But on my iPad pro，menu to the left side all blank rectangles show nothing, not even a word. But on my iPhone shows everything. Please fix the problem, thank you.

New Feature. I really like the app. But the there should be a feature that you can. Turn the thing a different way

Don’t bother!. Once you exit a project then you’ll never go out. Once you click something random, you’ll never go out. You try to do anything and all it leads to is confusion. Don’t bother trying something you can’t use. Go ahead and try to use it, don’t worry. You’ll only need a couple years and a masters degree. If you try you’ll regret it. Just a waste of time with a horrible maze that just maybe someone could call a setup. Don’t bother!

Worth the time, best of class on iOS. Menu can be tricky to sort out but on screen hints are awesome, very clear if you make a misstep. Kudos to the developers, keep up the great work, you rock!

Not sure how to do it. I don’t really know how to do it it’s a bit hard to do but I have to give credit to them for making such a good legit game free don’t have to pay for anything! This just makes me smile just I am still a bit confused on the controls. :)

Help. Honestly it’s not really a good app, now here me out it’s got everything I need but, I can’t do anything right. But it’s not just my fault because it’s so awkward and so fiddling to use. I haven’t really told you what’s wrong other than that but just please try to make it easier for ipad

An underdog 3D app. This app has everything you need for classic vertex modelling. It’s dense with tools and options unlike many other modelling apps. No subscription either. However, it’s really ugly and has a very uncomfortable and confusing interface. If you can get past that, then it will serve well.

This is a great game but one thing. You should make a update we’re there’s a tutorial cuz I still don’t know how to make things that’s all :)

Where has this been hiding?. I’m speechless, people say u need a manual, that could be true, however, if u use something like BLENDER or ZBRUSH, you will just know most of these functions from 3D model creation. I bought the additional purchases straight away after testing the recording function. In the right hands this is an extremely, extremely powerful tool. Thank you sooooo much for making this. This is terrible. You can’t do anything and there are zero tutorials this is the most disappointing app ever.

I Feel Like this App has Potential. This app probably has potential, but it’s very confusing to use for beginners in 3D animation/modelling/etc. You guys should implement some sort of tutorial for everything the app offers.

Functionality. Thank you for thinking about 3D for iPhone. It’s important and could be powerful. With that said the functionality of the entire platform user interface is so poorly designed it’s impossible navigate and touch items because there is no real interface grid with enough space and legibility. You have menu commands / options that are all sitting on top of one another in multiple locations and actions. The type setting for the menu was poorly decided and very makes it very hard to read. And the absolute most difficult aspect of the app is that you don’t include an “tutorial” on how to use the commands and give users a window of what is or could be possible and why it’s so valuable. For those reasons I believe the rating fits. It’s a valiant effort but needs a massive overhaul.

How do we do stuff. I can’t do anything

A bit complicated. I’ve been using this app but I want to know the controls, it’s really hard and i have been confused about the buttons. I literally didn’t even know there was an undo and redo button. Please make a tutorial video because there are not much buttons and I get confused on how to make people or like make an animation. I think some other people would be just confused as me, if you already have a tutorial for this app, please tell me where you can find it. Please and thank you, I hope you understand.

Sketch 3D. No idea if this is good app or not. No way to figure out how to use it without a manual, which doesn’t seem to exist. Might be great - who knows?

Good potential. Seems to have extremely good potential, but I think you need to take a step back and look at a program like Autodesk maya. Your naming conventions for tools are so confusing for us who are coming from industry standards.

IMPOSSIBLE.. The user interface is HORRENDOUS. I’ve spent an hour of my life just trying to add a 9th point to a cube. And you can’t rotate either to look at it from another angle, if you try to rotate, it just brings you back to the original position!!! This app is SO FRUSTRATING. PLEASE make this app useable.

Ok but hard. It's very good but in order to use it it is rather confusing you can't get a hold of controls easily. But once you get the hang of it, it is fun to play around with it

Amazing tool. This app is really the best thing I’ve ever seen.. I do a LOT of 3D modeling .. I have never seen an app capable of REAL block modeling like this before, and they is only one of its great features ! The interface could use work? Maybe but getting the functionality of this app on a phone is incredible .. I never write reviews but I just had to .. This app will never be deleted on my phone!

Blender on iPhone. You LITERALLY can animate freely with no restrictions on models, and you can even build models!

Highly impractical. This is highly impractical for an iphone app and pretty much unusable, but still a very cool app! The developers did an excellent job!

Not that great. It was very confusing to use. I couldn’t even form the block in the beginning. Ounce I figured out how to kinda form it, it never worked again. I don’t know if this is because I’m not experienced. But, I wouldn’t use the app again.

Great Tool! Here’s some suggestions for features to make it better.. Lately I’ve been on a rather long quest to find some 3D models of certain video game characters, during this I found this software and I am absolutely astonished at how great this software is at handling certain things that other softwares I have used cannot. The rather simple ability to apply textures using photos saved to my device is a rather unique feature that is really useful. The ability to move and separate bits and pieces of models is awesome and is very useful. One of my favorite parts of this app is the ability to save an object/model in several locations and export it into many different file types, including .stl which would allow a person to 3D print whatever a person wants. My only real gripe with this app is that there are some features that are either missing or in dire need of improvement. One of the most frustrating things with this app is that the camera is rather difficult to use, it doesn’t help that there isn’t a “center object” button that I can see. My suggestion is for certain buttons to be added that, when pressed, move the camera to the position that the button corresponds to, if not this then the “center object” button would be greatly appreciated. Another suggestion is for Apple Pen functionality to be integrated with touch sensitive commands or actions such as, if you hold down the pencil on the screen and drag, it will act like a mouse and select all that are highlighted in the area drawn. One big suggestion is for a settings drop down that will allow other apps to integrate, such as Zip Tool Pro, and act as a cloud or place of storage. I sincerely hope these suggestions are taken to heart and I look forward to future updates of this app.

Great opportunity absolutely abysmal execution. The key selling point for me was that, it looks decent and free. God I was wrong. The ui looks horrid, I cant tell what I’m doing, and everything is over the top and it makes me want to jump of a 5 story building. If you’re a pro at this, continue but if your like me, don’t even bother

Great but confusing. This is a very great app but it is hard to use and I tried to make a animation with it but did not understand any thing I would suggest some tutorials

Can’t use. I can’t move any thing without it freaking out and when ever I try to find out how to use it the text is in a different language.

I rate this a 2 out of 5 for now. Can y’all make a easier way to make stuff in this app I can’t learn how to move stuff to look like something.

Issues. I’ve tried to import a design but when I try to use per portions tool it trashes my design and forces it to change its face. Like the design was hollow which it isn’t. The app won’t recognize any format other then obj. Why is that or what am I doing wrong"

It is good but it needs tutorials. This app is good and I like how it is free, and stuff but i had one problem when installing this app. THERE ARE NO TUTORIALS

Adult content not filtered. In the "cloud" options there is adult material directly next to models for Thomas the train. Very nice program , especially for free... but the public content should probably have a filter added or a way to report adult content. Other than the unfiltered content i would say 4.5-5 stars.

It crashes when I open it. I would give it a higher rating if you were to fix it when the app crashes instantly

This is not for kids!. This games difficulty is way to far. I can’t even figure out the controls and I can barely figure this out! We need a better instruction manual. If you want to increase the chances of a good rating, please fix this problem and make it less difficult so it’s properly for kids!

Completely unuseable. Your English as a second language makes your descriptions meaningless, with no explanations matching up with the actual actions of the tools. Completely useless. Deleting for the third and last time. Don’t make any more apps until you learn how to communicate their use.

Does it have animation?. I want to import an animation onto it and copy it over to another model

A fairly powerful application, but…. This application has a multitude of functions, but there are almost no user instructions. I am left floundering. Please, please come up with some instructions.

Looks good but difficult to use. I put one star to encourage the developer to change it or get kicked off AppStore. Looks good but no tutorial so really hard to use. I guess if you just spent a lot of time playing around with it you could make some sense of it. But let’s be honest no one is going to do that.

Deep modeler, impossible interface. The very definition of bad design. Nothing indicates what it does, no menu items or drop downs, it’s just horrible. This thing needs a complete UI redesign (or any design for that matter) because it SEEMS like there’s a powerful modeling app hidden underneath.
