VizRef Lite Version 1.1.708 June 2021

NEW FEATURES in 1.1.7 Exporting- Fixed some bugs related to exporting. Some of the UI was unresponsive when hitting export within the app. This was most likely due to some newer IOS versions that were later released. *** Please keep in mind that exporting/ importing directly into other apps such as Dropbox or even using Airdrop and Discord all work completely differently because of how those apps are created. We, unfortunately, can not improve much on batch exporting/ importing into these apps unless those developers improve how their apps deal with multiple images being imported or passing through them. For batch exporting images, I still recommend hooking up Dropbox/ Google Drive to the files app on your iPad and just batch exporting through the files app from Vizref. Please also keep in mind that batch exporting hundreds of images at once will most likely crash Vizref. This is also out of our control. I recommend batch exporting about 50 images at once for the most stable and consistent experience. Vizref and other apps can't export hundreds of images at once because every app on the iPad is limited to how much Memory it can use during all operations. The app is crashing because of the hard limit set by Apple for each app. Features - Revert Button- Revert will undo any cropping or rotating you've done to the image. The main reason for adding the revert button was that some users were finding their images were oddly scaled/ stretched to the wrong ratio. Revert is a backup for returning your image to the correct ratio/ scaling - the revert button is located in the toolbox icon at the bottom right after selecting an image. - Exporting gif files. Should work now give it a try! *Bug Fixes* -Fixed a bug that caused images from your board to not display if your board crashed on exporting. This bug should be completely gone. If it persists after updating your app please contact us at vizrefpro@gmail.com **If your images have disappeared from your board, please note that those images are still on you iPad and stored locally. You can retrieve them by going to the Files app then searching for your Vizref folder in " On My iPhone " or " On My iPad" file Open "Private Documents" then you will see each .VRB file. These are your reference boards and store your images locally. You can then retrieve your images here. Fixed some crash bugs. Fixed several UI inconsistencies and bugs..

VizRef Lite Version 1.1.603 December 2020

NEW FEATURES in 1.1.6 Exporting!-We've added multiple ways to export images that you've gathered in your Vizref boards. To access exporting features simply click the gear icon at the top left and choose which type of exporting you'd like to use. Save images will send your images directly to your root Photo Album on your device. Currently, we are dependant on using the files app for exporting locally or to cloud storage. You can choose any folder you'd like for batch exporting all your images or you can even flatten your board as one image and export that. -We've discovered some functionality issues with ios14 and specifically the files app. For the best exporting results we recommend exporting and batch exporting images to "On My iPad" or "iCloud Drive" These two locations seem to have the best results. If you're exporting to files>dropbox or files>google drive, there seem to be irregularities. Please if you notice problems here report them to apple and not us. Apple needs to update its files app functionality. *For Procreate users, My recommendation for referencing multiple images from your Vizref Board is to "export selected" as one image. Save that flattened image to your photos app. Then you can import your new flattened reference board into Procreate's Reference Image viewer window! This is a great way to save screen space. *Printing and other share functionality is in the works. You can't Print directly from Vizref yet but if you simply save your board as a PDF you can Print the saved image from your photos album. Use the new export features to send your Reference as a PDF to print! Simply select Export> Export Board>PDF Wait for the Exporting UI to appear then scroll down to save the image. Open photos album and select the saved board Click the share icon on the upper right corner and choose print. -Improved HD image usage. HD image mode was still lowering the resolution of images too much. We've increased the resolution limit here. BUG FIXES- A lot of our time was spent fixing bugs and crashes related to the new ios 14 release. Sorry for the delay. ios14 was released out of the blue for us and seemed to cause a lot of problems for users. We've gone through all the crash reports and have successfully dealt with all the crash issues we could find! Please continue to email us if there are still bugs preventing you from using VizRef. FEATURES in 1.1.5 Added IMAGE ROTATE!-select an image-look for the new tool box icon-rotate image!Multiple images can be rotated together as well by using multiselect. Sorry for the delay on this! There were ALOT of bugs to fix when adding this feature. * LOW MEMORY BUG- a small number of users were experiencing a bug that caused them to get a low memory message in their first boards when the boards were relatively empty. We believe that this was a memory crash error and that we have resolved all the bugs related to this issue. We have not however been able to reproduce this bug internally. If you are still experiencing this error that causes a low memory pop up in an empty boardWe have found that if you experience this bug in your first boards, simply uninstalling the app and reinstalling it will remove this bug completely from Vizref. If you need further assistance* please contact us directly at vizrefpro@gmail.com * We are still looking for a better fix but reinstalling has been working very well and no users have complained of the bug returning afterwards. We are listening to all feedback for requested features. Please look forward to free updates in the future of more great tools for referencing your favorite inspirational images. Thank you all so much for the support!-mrbeezul.

VizRef Lite Version 1.1.501 September 2020

NEW FEATURES in 1.1.5 Added IMAGE ROTATE! -select an image -look for the new tool box icon -rotate image! Multiple images can be rotated together as well by using multiselect. Sorry for the delay on this! There were ALOT of bugs to fix when adding this feature. FEATURES in 1.1.2 -Improved Auto Pack! - AutoPack now works on any batch import from Photos, Files, and Drag and Drop. It Auto works! Simply import multiple images into your board and they are no longer imported on top of one another. - You can also still use Multiselect along with * auto pack on selected images To use simply click and hold away from images to invoke a marquee tool. Drag select and press the auto pack button located in the image toolbar. Currently, it neatly packs all selected images by averaging the heights while trying to maintain images in order of how they are arranged already. This means Pack will attempt to keep adjacent images close to one another instead of randomizing their order. We will most likely add options to how images are packed in the future. -*FOCUS MODE* when toggling the eye icon at the top right, you will now be able to zoom canvas, double click images for fast zoom, pan, and ROTATE your imageboard without accidentally moving your images around! The Ui is also hidden and much smaller in this mode to help you focus! No more accidentally image nudging. -*HD Image Toggle* - You can now toggle on HD images or "High Resolution" for images that are getting to pixelated on import! You will fill up your board memory faster but can finally reference large files much better! Simple find HD image toggle in the settings tab inside each board -Folder support from Photos App- We are now showing albums that are located inside folders in the photos app. This is a version 1 of this feature. Let us now how it works for you users that like organize your photos into folders. -Intergrated Firebase Crashlytics for better bug reporting and detection. This will help improve the app in the future by gathering data on more crashes than before -Improvements to importing from files -Async loading added to autopack to give a better and more responsive user experience to images loading into the board BUG FIXES - Fixed a bug where selected images were jumping around a bit if you accidentally used another finger on the screen while moving the selected image. -Fixed a bug that caused your first board thumbnail to be too low resolution - Fixed Slow zooming bug - Lowered the minimum size for images that are imported to 10x10. this should help with pixel artists that were importing very small images into the board but not being able to scale them - *Multi-select improvements. *Click and hold away from images to invoke lasso multi-select marquee. * * LOW MEMORY BUG- a small number of users were experiencing a bug that caused them to get a low memory message in their first boards when the boards were relatively empty. We believe that this was a memory crash error and that we have resolved all the bugs related to this issue. We have not however been able to reproduce this bug internally. If you are still experiencing this error that causes a low memory pop up in an empty board We have found that if you experience this bug in your first boards, simply uninstalling the app and reinstalling it will remove this bug completely from Vizref. If you need further assistance * please contact us directly at vizrefpro@gmail.com * We are still looking for a better fix but reinstalling has been working very well and no users have complained of the bug returning afterwards. We are listening to all feedback for requested features. Please look forward to free updates in the future of more great tools for referencing your favorite inspirational images. VizRef Lite Comments & Reviews 2022

- Recommend to anyone in art - Awesome app! (with small requests)

This app is awesome! I have both the iPad and iPhone versions, and they have been amazing! The iPad version almost makes me wonder how I ever did art without it. I’m really glad I got both. Really nice, easy to use, great app. For me the following will make it a definite 5star (personal preference) 1) Auto lock(sleep) prevention When I want to use the app while working on another device, you have to toggle your setting to stop the phone from auto locking, and going black. I know it’s a small thing, but it can het annoying + I worry that I will forget to turn the setting back on. I hope they implement this soon. (Maybe only while the eye icon(?) is on? Especially since there are no multi task features on the phone) 2) Multiple import from files I can import multiple photos, but not from files(you can on iPad with multi task). Now I import file to photos first, as a work around. It’s not a dealbreaker, but would be nice. 3) Syncing option I feel an iCloud sync option, would be really nice. Or an export board function? Sometimes you spend a lot of time arranging your boards, or you update a board on 1 device, but have to do it all again to have the same items on your other device.

- Amazing but missing something

I use this app extensively on iPad and iPhone. it’s the closest thing to pure ref which is the PC counterpart. I do have one minor complaint: The app seems to be missing a multi select feature. there doesn’t seem to be a way to move around groups of images at a time. I have searched around and cannot find a solution That really slows down my creative process, as I needed to be able to manipulate images with similar concepts or elements. But if this feature were to be added in a future update I will gladly add the last star to this review

- Highly HIGHLY recommended

So great all the photos when batch importing don’t lay on each other, strange you have to flip the hd switch to have images imported in HD happy it’s there just strangers it’s not just on. It does works, strangely “HD” photos I get from bing or google still show up pixelated but that could be the photo itself and not the app, the app does brighten the images imported, when compare from In app and the photos app. Found rotating accidentally should be a icon like the flip or b/w filter and then rotate from there, also I would like to be able to rotate individual images and not just the whole board, aside from that I do like the intuitive rotating gesture just needs a better spot or icon, sadly can’t do multiple select, love the new eye icon being apart to move around the board without any of the ui, still solid fluid stable app just like before still highly recommend

- Great app with lots of potential

I’ve started using this app and it’s perfect for the artist on the go. I’m pretty sure it’s made by the same group that created PureRef, but I could be wrong on that. The app has a great feature that allows you to organize different categories of images. And within each of these has tools that are pretty intuitive. It handles images and gifs very well. And gifs play continuously in the app. My only complaint is that the copy link option doesn’t work for other apps on my phone. Pinterest and instagram as examples, or at least I don’t think it does. However, the copy link option brings in high res quality images from Google images, so I can’t complain to much. The app is still in early development and I’m hoping that this could be implemented in the future. For about $2 the app is well worth the price.

- Needs ability to re-size multiple selections as a group

Highly recommended!

- This is super intuitive

One of my biggest frustrations with apps are bad ux that you need to look up how to do things. Everything in this app that you think should work a certain way does. You hit the ground running with this app. It's easy, it's got great features, and if you draw on the iPad or work in the industry like me it's an amazing app to have and totally worth the low price. Can't recommend it enough.

- Amazing reference board app for artists!

This is everything I’ve ever wanted in a reference board app! You can collect and organize all your images with customizable art boards and there’s even animated gif support! I’ve been using this app to help create my illustrations and it’s been an incredible tool. VizRef works great alongside Procreate and other drawing programs! I highly recommend it for art hobbyists, students, and industry professionals!

- Finally!!!

For years artists have been looking for a tool like this on mobile! The developer is a professional concept artist and listens to feedback from artists to implement new features. This tool is off to a great start and will aid both digital and traditional artists.

- Works great but lacks sync/export

The app itself is simple and easy to use and meets most of my needs, but AFAICT reference boards are saved locally to the device on which they are created and there is no way to copy or sync boards between iPhone and iPad. iCloud support would make both apps 5 stars and well worth the price for both.

- Great

Really simple app that gets the job done perfectly. Building a reference board is very easy and quick. All very intuitive. Only thing is I wish is that boards synced between the iPad and iPhone.

- Able to upload to cloud?

Am I able to upload my folders or images to be able to move them to my iPad VizRef app from my phone vizref app? I just got this it’s a great app

- Export from iPhone doesn’t work

I can’t get the export to work. It just freezes up.

- No split screen functionality

I wanted to use this app on my iPad pro to help with drawing, but unfortunately, it doesn’t work with the split screen function that I so heavily rely on. If they added compatibility with this function to a future update I would probably reconsider my review.

- App Crashes

Was great while it was working. Not sure what happened but now it’s constantly crashing on both iPhone and iPad.

- Updated Review - Still Love It!

I’ve used VizRef for a while now, and I had written favorably as well the last time I reviewed this app. I want to add an additional review after the current update. The iPad version of VizRef is CONSTANTLY open in split view alongside Procreate when I work. It’s almost become an extension of Procreate for me. The iPhone version is also a great option when I want a separate reference screen. The app is simple to use and very effective at what it’s built to do. I use this app to help keep my comics more consistent by collecting references and my previous drawings of characters or scenes all in one place. The in-app greyscale filter is invaluable. Also love that I can crop images within the app, and pause GIFs to look at specific frames. Another nice touch is that the app background more or less matches the background in Procreate. This adds to the feeling that the apps are part of each other, and keeps it from feeling distracting or visually busy. The last update just made this already excellent app even better by adding some ways to export and save boards, which means I now have a way to backup all of my compiled references. This is WONDERFUL and about the only feature I have been missing. Thank you for creating such an excellent tool for artists! 😃👏👏👏

- Bug Issues

When I started to press on the app today, it would only bug out. Which not allowing me to enter and use references at all.

- Ughhhh

I bought this to use in procreate pocket to only figure out it doesn’t work

TransferWise 💸

- GOAT app for drawing

I use this app for drawing goats, it’s great to have a bunch of goat photos to refer to while making highly detailed goat drawings. You can flip, rotate and resize the goat photos and even lock the canvas to prevent accidentally moving your lovingly placed photos of goats. You can have different boards for different types of goats which is handy. It even saves your board automatically so if you accidentally close it you don’t have to replace all of the lost goat photos. 5/5 goats highly recommended!

- Lack of share function

If i can sure the boards i create on ipad share on my iphone will be great.

- Good app, stopped working on iPhone X

On firmware version 13.3.1 app will just crash on launch when it used to work

- Use this app on all my art projects

Recently discovered and quickly became my favourite tool to use when drawing! Latest update brings autopack to iPhone and multi select tool also! HD mode is great too for referencing high res images! Keep up the great work! Thanks for giving the iPhone app an update!

- Can’t use on older iPad. :(

I love the idea and it seems to work ok on my iPhone, but it won’t even download onto my iPad is only iOS 12.4.6. :/ I don’t plan on having an iPhone forever so unless I get a newer iPad, I won’t be able to use the app.

- App crashes the moment I click it open

It worked amazing when I first downloaded it. But now that I need to use it today, the app crashes when I click it open. A few seconds of grayish screen then it dies. UPDATE: I deleted the app and reinstalled. It doesn’t crash anymore, but the data on there was lost. (I don’t mind since I only had one file, but maybe adding a cloud/save on phone for saving options might be a good ide)
