Must have for any level of wine lover. This app has made me a better wine lover. Not only have I learned about each grape, and grapes I've never heard of, but whenever I want to have a glass of wine I look to see what would pair well with it. Customer service is great too. Works across all platforms. Just get it!!

Ideal - 5 Star. This is ideal for wine enthusiasts of all levels. It has excellent content and the best food and wine pairing information I have found on any app. Small price to upgrade is well worth it.

A must for wine lovers. This is a fantastic resource for anyone who enjoys wine or simply wants to know more about it. The developer is helpful and responsive to requests such as adding lesser known grapes to his database. The more I use this app, the more I enjoy and appreciate different wines and food pairings. Fabulous Wine App. I've purchased a number of wine apps for the purpose of pairing wine to food. Most were disappointing. This app not only does pairings well, but it also provides a lot of information about the grape ... and there are lots of grapes. Well worth the price. The upgrade is highly recommended. Since I purchased this app I've used it for a number of reasons; pairings, grape info, etc. most everything I wanted was there. However, I found a few obscure grapes not listed. I contacted the developer who not only agreed that they will add the grapes, but they also included, in their reply, all the info about the grape. How cool is that. Responsiveness to the customer is outstanding!

Great wine app. I recommend this app to all my servers and bartenders. If you are in the restaurant biz, or just love wine, you will love this app.

A bountiful resource with great interface!. This iteration of pocket wine pairing has been such a bountiful resource for me, my partners and friends. It allows us to dive deeper into what we’re drinking, learning and discovering all kinds of fun facts about geography, food pairing, and wine culture around the world. I love the universal searching function (search countries, wines, grapes, notes, etc...) and that you can search for wine choice by food dish or food dish by wine choice. Love and highly recommend this to everyone who is curious and enjoys wine!

Great for food and wine pairing. Easily the best app for food and wine pairing. The guides for each food type make pairing easy and logical. I'm also using the app now as my go to wine journal by adding all the wines I buy.

Great Reference. I utilize a number of wine apps, and this is one of the better ones. Good reference app with multiple functions to help me in the wine world. Varietals, food pairing, etc. are very complete and easily understood.

Definitely worth the 4 bucks!. A lot of work and research went into this app. I created a wine profile for myself and my family! It's good to know what food to eat with which food! It's opened my eyes to trying other wines besides red to match my taste. Worth 5 stars!

Encyclopedic!. PocketWine is a great app, containing lots of useful information for any curious wine lover. PW covers the grape, food pairings you can actually use, geography, and even gives you space for note taking. It is obvious that great care was taken in the app programming - the app is beautiful, with smooth screen action, and fully (and logically) cross-referenced sections. I have the full version and it was worth much more than the modest price.

Disappointing customer service. I downloaded this app to help me with wine(obviously), because I’m in the business I wanted something I could use as a reference for work. I tried to purchase the app for $3.99, so I could have access to everything. Unfortunately it doesn’t prompt me for purchase, initially I assumed it was a problem on my end ie credit card expired, wrong info, or my settings were off for in app purchases. It wasn’t any of those things. So I contacted Apple thinking something was wrong on their end, after trouble shooting we discovered it wasn’t them either. So I sent an email, over a week ago, to this company to see if something was going on on their end. Crickets. No one has reached out to me about getting this app, and I’m seriously disappointed. Which is unfortunate, as the other reviews have said, it’s a useful tool. But it isn’t all that useful unless you buy it, so I’ll be getting something else.

Can't do much unless you pay $3.99. If you want to know what wine to have with your food without knowing any more info about it then this app is for you but if you want more info about the wine then you need to upgrade and pay $3.99. Sorry but not really worth it. Maybe if it was .$99 instead.

Very helpful. I mostly use this ap for food pairings. It is much better than others I have tried, although it still is not as extensive as I would like.

Great information. Trust this app as it is very accurate. From a winery guy who vilifies wine it's a great tool for any tasting staff. The creators very open to suggestions that you may ask to enhance this application. It's worth every penny!!!!! Brookhollow Winery.

Poor value. I can’t believe I got charged 3.00 for this app. It still does not have a comprehensive list of grapes and does not include any wines for pairing with desserts. It is a half hearted attempt at trying to look like it provides an entire vault of knowledge, when it doesn’t even come close. Do not waste your time or your three bucks.........

Spectacular App. This app covers a wide range of varietals well beyond the noble and international varietals that many people, including wine snobs, limit themselves to. The navigation is intuitive; start with a grape, get it's characteristics or food pairing ideas. Or start with the food and find the most compatible grapes. And the wine profile section is a brilliant idea. I'm not sure that it captured exactly my taste preferences, but we need this kind of logical way to experiment with wine choices. For futures, consider a tie in to Vivino, the other wine app that is awesome and perhaps a tie in with the DeLong (periodic) wine table which is not yet an app Awesome app. Keep it going

Wine Paradigm is a great app. I upgraded to the premium version (can't leave my review there for some reason), and I'm finding it very handy. Service is excellent -- I received a very quick response to some questions I had about using it, and then I was able to quickly enter all of my wines to keep track of what I own and what I like. I love the food pairing help and the fact that there are lots of types of wines -- not just the most common. Definitely worth the $3.99.

I work at a winery. People are constantly asking me what wine would go with what food. My winery works with a lot of different varietals. I am always looking up the varietal its characteristics and its history.

Amazing tool!. This app is great and full of information right at your fingertips on wine style, pairing etc I highly recommend! I use it all the time as a sommelier .

Very good, could be excellent. Given that the most important factor in the expression of a grape is the terroir (soil conditions, other climate-related factors) in which it is grown rather than the varietal itself, it would be great to have the abundant information found in this app to be organized according to region, too. In any case, this is a very good app and well worth the $4 to unlock all of its features. Well done and thanks!

Really love this app!. I usually don't get too excited about apps but I have been recommending this one to friends. It has a wide range of varietals covered and is very handy in pairing up the perfect wine with food. Well worth the money!

Hard to use. I find the user experience is a bit lacking and hard to use. So much of the content is locked that it’s hard to get a good feel for the value of the app and I just don’t think it would be worth paying for a membership

Good suggestions for wine pairings. I have tried several wine pairing apps and this is my favourite so far because it provides lots of suggested varietals for pairing. There is also some general info about wine. Good value overall.

Too limited. The vast majority of the functionality of this app is locked unless you upgrade. Not surprisingly unimpressive.

Go to app for wine education. This app comes in so handy when we go on wine tasting tours. Either I use it during the tasting to learn about the varieties being served or I use it afterwards to look up the various terms that are used by the winery hosts. I am very much looking forward to having this app available when we go to Europe this fall, so many new varieties to sample. Fall 2023 I may be biased but there is scant information about the Canadian wine industry. The Okanagan Valley of British Columbia and the Niagara Peninsula of Ontario have matured into notable wine regions. Hence down to 4 stars on the app.
