Was working? No updates?. I was using this remote quite fine just not that long ago and now nothing. Why? I will continue to use this really awesome app for my computer but now I have to do stuff and nobody likes have to do stuff. C'mon.

Don’t Bother. It doesn’t see my Boom 2 on my mac so it doesn’t work and getting prompts to update my boom 2 because there was no devices found was annoying.

It simply does not work - complete waste of space. What more can one say for an app that does nothing but take up valuable space without performing its sole function? Despite following the idiot-proof directions, the app simply does nothing. Fix the app.

Connection issues; Mac only. When I started using Boom Remote, I had a lot of difficulty. The application would start to open and then abruptly quit. After restarting both devices, this seems to have been resolved. I sometimes still have difficulty connecting to my MacBook Air when it’s streaming music via Boom 3D. Mostly it works though. The fact that it can’t connect to a Windows PC running Boom 3D however is disappointing. It’s a platform-agnostic world now, baby! Let’s get with the program.

Doesn’t work on HiSierra?. With such a great Mac software I’d think the developers would have fixed this problem? Please fix this for us. Thank you.

Released too soon. This dev LOVES releasing things before he ought to, compound that with tremendously horrible customer service if you rub him the wrong way and you’re going to find upset customers. So yeah, it’s buggy. Oh well, he’ll get that fixed ASAP, for certain. What’s more, I can’t find a single time when I think I would ever use this. I mean, I want to think I would, but I even already deleted it. I’m glad the dev is at least trying some things after a spectacular money grab with his wonky policies that I want to assume are somehow lost in translation. More importantly, at least he can’t troll twitter and develop at the same time. : /

I can only hit refresh so many times. The app literally never connects to Boom on my Mac and in a miracle it does, the connection times out as soon as my cell's screen begins to dim. Please just wait to release apps until they are tested and prove to work more at least 90% of the time.

Excellent app, just perfect.. Works great, I love the dots dancing, and that is a control for everything for a lazy

Incompatible version. Remote version 1.2 is incompatible wit Mac version 1.5.. Messages (update boom 2 on your Mac, no device found). Same wifi but it won't work..

Does not work. Does not work with the App Store version of Boom2 (despite being connected to the same wifi signal as per the app’s instructions). Can’t speak to whether it works with the version from the website. Boom itself is working well.

Can't see MBP on iPhone. Does not see my MBP which is running High Sierra, even though MBP says the Boom Remote is on.

Works perfectly iPhone to MacBook Air M2. Works perfectly in October 2023! I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max and a MacBook Air M2. It’s controlling both the MacBook volume and the Boom 3D volume (separate controls). I can change the Equalizer settings, adjust Effects (like 3D and Fidelity) and separately control volume for apps like Spotify if playing. I love that it has a mute button! It’s working fine in the background. Not sure yet if it will use memory and/or battery when not near the MacBook or its turned off. May have to manually quit the app, will see. Great app, just what I needed!

Just Amazing. Hands down the 1st Mac app o ever bought was Boom v1. I am glad to see how far you guys have come with such app. Simple can't state how well this app has worked. Glad to see I can also use my iPhone 6 Plus to control the new Boom 2

doesn’t work. i have boom 2 on my mac and i have the remote on my mac, both connected to same wifi and it says theres new magic in store and then doesn’t connect. I don’t mind the control on the computer but the remote would be nice with it……. pkease fix this issue

Needs to offer solutions. I installed this after installing Boom3D on my iMac. I tried using it and it said Boom3D was not running system wide. I still haven’t figured out how to make it do so. Their site offers a video titled How to Run Boom3D System Wide, which then only gives a sort of ad of it working thusly. But no instructions on the setting. Frustrating.

It works.. Boom 2 is worth every penny. I use an iMac as my entertainment hub. This app is essential for movies and music. Now as for the remote all not working... It works fine and worked the first time I tried to set it up. I really have no idea why it wouldn't work for some people. Maybe they can't follow instructions on their phone and computer? Seriously, some people get confused easily. And these people shouldn't review apps that work because of their inability to set up a simple app.

Good but needs better preset switching. I really like Boom 2 on the mac. This remote app is a nice bonus, I appreciate it being free. It all actually works really nicely. My main issue is when choosing for an EQ preset. When it's night time, I like to change my EQ to a "bass reducer" preset. The app makes it difficult to just select said preset. I have to scroll through all the other presets (and these presets toggle on while scrolling through) this means I pass the super bass booster presets and get booming bass when I'm trying to get the opposite. So now at night time I have to disturb the neighbors with some booming bass while I'm trying to tame the bass. Not a huge issue but I think the presets feature needs to be re-thought so you don't have to enable every preset in your list just to get to the one on the other side of the alphabet.

Like the idea, needs a little work. I totally understand that this is the very first release of this app, so I don't expect it to work perfect. My main issue is that it doesn't stay connected in the background. As soon as the phone is locked, or the app isn't in the foreground, it disconnects from the computer. I'm not sure if this is an issue on the phone or the computer, but I'm guessing it's the phone since multitasking is more of an issue there. Hopefully this issue gets resolved, but overall, I would rather use this than Apple's default remote app.

Connection Issue. I don’t know what’s happening but I can’t seem to connect my phone to my Mac so I can’t even enjoy the features in this app… c’mon guys what’s going on?

Need version for iPhone.. Disappointed. Was hoping we finally got a version for iPhone. Huge let down.

No easy system-wide control. There doesn’t appear to be a simple system-wide volume control like in the previous version. I have to select a file to boost. I want to just amplify the volume overall...

Awesome. It's worth the price for just the remote that controls volume, skip a track, go back, select the new filters. Not to mention the great sound. You music on your Mac will come alive. Also well worth the upgrade price. Get this, you be happy you did.

Amazing app! (dev, pls read). Awesome app. Just wish I wouldn't have to press "Start Boomin" to start boomin. I feel like that is implied when starting the app. Otherwise, great app! Love the controller idea, and works like a charm. #Boomin

Confusing. Does not work with Boom2 Apple Store version

Doesn't work. I recently bought boom and I love it The boom remote is a big issue as sit does not allow me to connect. I have the full version of boom and I am connected to the WiFi yet it won't connect pls fix this thanks

Doesnt seem to work once you install boom driver. Worked initially then stopped working while configuring boom 2 and completely stooped working once i installed the boom audio driver. This a must for the mac since default acoustics volume on the mac retina volume is pathetically LOW with out BOOM. The remote app needs more work.

Icing on the cake. Excellent companion to the desktop Boom 2 app. Works flawlessly and allows me to remotely control all possible settings through my iPhone. Nice work!

Won’t connect. Just won’t connect

Please fix remote. I've used Boom for years. When I saw the updated App with the ability to use iPhone as remote control I upgraded. But as others mentioned, the remote control feature simply doesn't work. I'm on same wifi network but it says nothing connected. Please fix.

This app, she does not work.. Satisfied Boom 2 customer here, but this remote app? She does not work. She does not connect to the desktop version (non-app store, in my case) no matter how many reinstalls or variations in the sequence of which starts first I try. Deleted.

Boom 2 remote does not work. Have the latest Boom2 on iMac (v1.5) and iPhone (v1.2) but they don't talk. They're on the same network but just don't see each other. I've restarted both.... it's a bust.

It works. I don’t know why everyone’s having so much trouble, it works (and super easily too). Using non-app store version btw.

Outdated??. Doesn’t work. Won’t find my Mac with High Sierra. There are no support materials for Boom Remote. They just send you to Boom support.

Could be better. It does work, it lets you change the volume and equalizer but that's it. They could do so much more with it.

Confused & disappointed. Doesn't seem to find the device within the app. The iPhone finds the Boom 2 without drama via traditional means.

I don't know, won't connect.. iOS 12.1.1 and macOS 10.14.2 Boom 3D Boom Remote As soon as I try connecting Boom Remote to Boom 3D on my iMac (27" 2017) Boom 3D freezes and I see the rainbow wheel of horrors. I just cannot get it to work :-(

Great app, read what you're buying!. To all these reviewers leaving bad reviews for this app, learn to read properly. This is not related to Logitech's speakers (although you can use them in conjunction with this app) - this app is solely to control the Boom 2 EQ application for Mac remotely. It works seamlessly and without any config, very fast to respond and connect. Very nice UI! Love it. Go to these guy's website if you have a Mac and hear the difference Boom 2 makes, my AirPods sound amazing! Long time happy customer not related at all.

Doesn't work. This remote is useless it doesn't work on iPhone or iPad and friends who have downloaded it say the same. Big disappointment give it a miss.

Buy this now.. I run my Spotify on my Mac through an old hifi system and I can't exaggerate how much of a difference this app has made. I'm not usually one for software audio effects but the 'ambience' function combined with the EQ sounds brilliant across all different genres and sounds. Sounds HUGE and manages to make streamed and digital audio sound warm and clear. I don't often pay for this kind of thing but am more than glad to. Can't recommend it enough.

Disappointed. Does not connect to either my iPhone or iPad. It can find the device. Luckily I don't have to rely on the app for the ue boom 2 to work

Not the Logitech UE Boom 2 app. I downloaded this app originally thinking it was specifically for the UE Boom 2 speaker which is a Logitech product. This app is NOT the official Logitech app - the Logitech app is an iPhone app (sadly, no iPad or universal version of it yet) called UE BOOM published by Logitech and it works well. So do not be mislead by the name of this app - if you have a UE Boom 2 speaker, download the Logitech UE BOOM iPhone app (it works just fine on an iPad). This app, despite the name, has nothing to do with the UE Boom 2 speaker - it's for controlling a Mac app called Boom 2.

Doesn’t work with Boom3D. It worked before with Boom, now it says that my computer refused the connection. There are on the same wifi, I'm using Sierra. Please fix it ! I really like Boom but not when it isn't working!

I love using boom. Things just keep getting better. I like this a lot because i usually had to adjust my volume whenever i was relaxing and my laptop is far. "People complained how loud my mac got... :p"

No EQ adjust. Good app with a great music sound effects. Like really great, but this app, although very sweet in its simplicity and function, doesn’t allow EQ adjust. Yea, you can select presets, but you can make your own custom presets and select those with remote. So wet up might be an extra step for the advanced customization. Also, wish advanced had more than 31 frequencies, but it’s pretty good for the sale price. I hope it’s supported for a long time. I do like Boom3D. Looking fwd to finalizing the setup.

El Capitan broke this. Does not work in Apple’s new El Capitan software I purchased this after it broke my Boom 1.0 then went to purchase Boom 2 and its NOT WORKING!! Could you folks please fix this or please pay refund back

Don't overdo it and you"ll be fine. Boom 2 works great with my iMac. Perhaps maybe too strong for a Book but my review is not about that. It works wonders with the speakers on my iMac if you balance the Boom output and the iMac volume. Excess will kill anything. Just be careful and you won't have a problem. If you're not good with audio apps then don't go here would be my advice. Amazing what it can do. Honestly. Just be careful. The remote control is tons of fun. You can use your iPad to control your iMac all the while cooking a great spaghetti sauce. What more do you want? Sorry all you nay sayers, I recommend it!

Doesn't work. Updated boom 3d on my Mac today and now I can't seem to find my Mac or pair with it through the app

What a great app. I'm writing this for the Boom 2 app for my Mac Book Pro as I'm unable to write a review from the App Store program on my laptop. Anyway, awesome app. I've been streaming videos on Netflix, YouTube and Amazon for years and most of the time the volume is painfully low, even with it turned up all the way on both the laptop and the web browser, to the point where I can't watch it (unless I use headphones or external speakers, which I don't want to do - who wants to lug around cumbersome speakers and wires with their laptop?) I was even considering getting a cheap pc laptop just for watching movies. However this app fixed the problem instantly and now I can watch anything and not have to worry about the volume. So grateful and thanks so much for this great app!

It is how apps should work - automatically!. I expected a real hassle just syncing the iPhone app to my macbook; but it found it by itself. that was awesome, as is the entire app system. boom 2 is worth $14.99.
