Take Off - The Flight Simulator Game Reviews

Deceptive.... I was under the impression that this game would allow me to run my own airline, send out flights over the world, collect income, etc. I was thinking I'd be able to set a "Hub" so to speak, and hire pilots to do the flights for me, letting me create an "aircraft empire", allowing me to own my own plane and do my own flights at the same time. Instead, all you get are extremely repetitive missions with extremely arcady controls. Not enjoyable at all, I wish I wouldn't have wasted $3 on this.

Not what we asked for!. The new fighter jet is not what we asked for we want a more realistic airline empire game with more COMMERCIAL planes. At this point I deleted the game not worth it right now! Save your money until they improve this game! Bellow is what I previously recommend to improve the game: 1. The world map mode is a mess and disappointing: A. What's the point of buying skins and upgrades if they won't show up in this mode. B. The miles is a money making scam on a game you need to pay for, you need to add more free miles er hour of you keep this system. C. Remove the check points it's annoying and I can get to the altitude much faster just have a final check point for take off and landing. D. Having an animation that is skippable (for those in a rush) of passengers boarding and exiting a plane and the plane coming and leaving a gate to go to the runway rather than starting on it. E. Have a comfort meter and seatbelt sign for passengers F. Seeing inside the cabin with the passengers would be cool. G. You should have the option of flying the whole flight. H. Have competing airlines and make it more realistic to running an airline! 2. The game in general: A. Needs more planes cargo planes for example or other passenger planes and more customizable skins. B. Needs a x4 speed button. C. Graphics need a lot more improvement coasts in particularly. When you are close to the ground it should be more detailed rather than a flat image. D. Have missions in other countries. E. Have customization for the player profile picture and logo and ability to change company name. Also for the control tower also that old man gets annoying. 3. Make it easier to get all the planes people are paying for this game to download it. Having the feeling to need to buy in-app purchases when you already payed for the game promotes feelings of being cheated and frustration!

Lag on the To700. There are some problems on the To700. It happened two times. My first one is I try to depart out of London but once I get down the runway it flips and crashes. My second one is I'm trying to depart out of Paris but when I get on the runway the front tire goes into the ground. Please fix if can!

Good game but.... Good game but the TO-34 has no windshield from 3rd person in sim flying and I wish there was a way to start free flight at night as well.

Fermium in DISGUISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. After paying the BS price tag on this sucker, they freemium your flights with "Miles" currency. The map size is very limited, the false claim of flying to other places in the world is bogus. You can only fly to near by small airports in the same place, you can't actually fly the whole flights to another country. Then there is the false claim of running a business. What should be the fun part of the game (the part after the campaign[really a bunch of tutorials])isn't what's claimed and is complete freemium. You don't pay and play this one you, you pay and pay and pay and pay! This company should be ashamed of theirselves! Freemium is bad enough, add a heaping pile of a price tag with a ok game and you get this.

It’s meh. Fantastic :) but the thing is that it pay to play I’m really annoyed how you work so hard to get something like the a320 but then next 2 levels you have to get a 747 when you don’t know that you have to get it please change the prices of all the planes I don’t think a Cessna is worth 35k

In app purchase model even after forking over 2.99?. So you're telling me once I get to the regional license level I have to grind away at missions to get bigger and better airplanes on a game I already paid $2.99 for? I pay for games to avoid this "freemium" model of game design and yet I still have to deal with this? Garbage. This game pales in comparison to other flight simulators anyways. Save your 3 bucks and go to Taco Bell instead.

NO SUPPORT!!!!. I do like this game however the game has crashed several times during mission #5 of the business flights. I tried to report it but there is no support site for the app as far as I can tell other then the faq that told me to close background apps and restart if that doesn't work. Well I did both those things and it still continues to crash in the same spot of the level. PLEASE HELP!!!! Also please make it easier for us to report these types of issues in the future!

Says no internet connection. Apparently after you get so far in the game it says no internet connection and cannot be fully played. This developer should be smart and fix this. It has been a couple weeks now so I'm deleting it. I did write them an email and they said they do not know what has happened. Time to take off to another flight sim!

Having a blast. Really enjoying this - seems to have a lot of depth to it. It is getting me hooked on the genre. Hope there are updates and expansions.

Needs Major Improvement!!!. Why are the controls very insensitive and choppy? Also, why do the missions literally crash your plane as soon as you start them? This game does not deserve a $2.99 price tag or even a free price tag! DO NOT BUY!!!

Internet connection. Love the game, got to level 30 and game stopped working. Tells me "no internet connection ". Help please. Very aggravating. I was on level 30 had almost 4 million to buy planes and I'm stuck because it say no internet connection. I have internet connection. I've had it for 30 levels. Come on game creators, fix this bug. Waste of $2.00. I downloaded this game because I thought that it would be a cool flight simulator but when I tried to play it the game said you device is not compatible and it didn't say sorry. Purchase restore. Purchased a few planes for my son. After uninstalling and reinstalling the game, all of the purchased planes are no longer available. Attempted troubleshooting and the previously purchased planes are still not restored.

Um no not for me!. I'm disappointed in this game bc like so many others I've been waiting months for this game to b ready & available in the App store. Let's start of with the details of the airplanes, they resembles toys comparing to their real counterparts. The flight dynamics is awful. This is just not a flight simulator. A flight game yes.. that pretty much sums it up. If u r a virtual pilot, do yourself a favor & move pass this 1. Hopefully it gets better with a few updates. Back to my Aerofly 2 & Xplane 10.

No Internet Connection. I have been playing this game for months and all of a sudden it says no internet connection. All the other apps on my iPad are accessing the internet just fine. Is there a server probelm on the other end? Help!

No internet connection. Worked really well. Not the most realistic in terms of flying physics but fun either way. Now it says I do not have internet connection. I won't be playing this anymore until they fix the only way to make money.

Annoying. You spend all this time beating missions and buying planes, but when you have enough to buy new skins for the planes, they don't show up in the world map. Why have skin options if the planes won't even show them when you buy them.

Fun to play.. All in all k enjoyed playing it. I didn't have many problems with it. Sometimes the controls are a little weird and when in the World Map the scrolling is way to sensitive. But it's a fun game.

Nostalgia. I remember this game from my childhood, just recently rediscovered it, it’s been 8 years since I played this, everything is so good and different before COVID arrived. I was just a child discovering new things and enjoying new stuff, and getting open to the world, and playing this game and discovering new graphics and stuff in the internet until COVID came. I’m now a high schooler since then and now I just want to look back to even the smallest part of my memory to cherish what I lost. So remember whoever is reading this, cherish the moments you have and be grateful, you do not know what value something has before you lose it. For a peaceful world

Nice Game. The concept is nice and this is an overall fun game to play. I wouldn't call it a flight simulator though. The controls are not the best ergonomically but with a little practice, handling's not that bad. It'd be nice to calibrate your position and use your device for yoke control instead of the on screen control. This would make it feel more like a sim... All in all, I like the game as it has missions that sims like Infinite Flight don't and the music is cheerful; reminds me of Super Mario Bros.

YES!. Most flight simulators do not work, either very realistic or too basic and iffy physics. This once gets the balance just about right. Firstly you can play this game fully with just the one purchase. You want to reach goals faster then you can pay real money if you wish. The game has challenges and run your our airline mode, neither of which is overcooked or too basic. The flights are not to long maybe up to 10 minutes from what I have seen which is perfect for mobile play. A rather good flight simulator which is worth a shot.

Nice Flying Game. I don't understand why so many people are complaining about this app. It's not necessarily meant to be a simulator, yet it has features that Infinite Flight doesn't have. Clouds, Buildings, live cockpits with working instruments, etc. This is an airline manager game, and creates a simple, relaxed setting. Plus you only have to pay once, and not pay for every Plane, Region, etc. I'm pleased with the result.

Fun until you hit grinding/IAP cliff. This arcade-y flight game gave me hours of fun in campaign mode, but once you reach level 25 to unlock airliners, you'd have to either grind for weeks or pay $15 for enough in-game currency to afford the entry-level airliner. I don't have that kind of time or $ to spend on an arcade game! Also, it's a storage hog: 1.2GB!!

Good concept, bad execution. Ok let me start by emphasizing that THIS IS NOT A SIMULATOR, it is a flying arcade game, and therefore should NOT be marketed as a sim. Now, about the actual game 1. The graphics are not great, but the are definitely good/up to par 2.The game menu is completely smooth, but the slowdowns occur when flying 3. When flying, while looking around the aircraft, the game becomes a bit chunky, and slows down. The aircraft also tend to get chunky at some parts of the flight. 4. The actual game concept is awesome, but the developers need to focus on making it run smoothly I have deleted the app, but will keep It on my watch list, and may re-download it if the bugs are fixed

Update the landing physics. Every time I land, it bounces and crashes, THIS IS SOO ****ING ANNOYING

This is very good. This game can fight the word but you need big air plan is very good and have any test very good

RIP OFF. What a great game, but an absolute rip off. I spent $10 and countless hours saving up enough to by a commercial airliner, but you can only take it on 2 missions until you then have to buy a bigger one at 2.5x the cost of the one you just bought. You have 2 options with this game. Either plan on spending about $80 to advance quickly and keep it interesting, or it'll take you about 2 months of playing everyday for 4 hours to earn enough $ to do the full experience.

Not really worth the $. I bought this with high hopes of it being a great sim, but I was mistaken! Subpar graphics, Horrible controls and no calibration! Those are just a few I’ve noticed in the first 10 minutes of play... Best just to stick to Rortos flight sims.

One of the top flight sims on the market. Very fun game.. decent mechanics and challenging missions. For someone who loves flight sims on any type of device, this one is great. Awesome graphics (for mobile) and even a twist of managing your own commercial flight company, in addition to just flying missions. Overall beautiful game. Doesn't offer quite as much fine tuning if cockpit controls as some of the higher end simulation games, but has autopilot, flaps, throttle, roll, pitch, yaw, cruise control, e-brakes (and on some planes, airbrakes), and heading (course) adjustment. WORTH THE MONEY especially after the update. Hope to see more content very soon! Kudos to the creator of this app!

Great except when you reach level 30. Great game, but when you reach level 30, you have reached the plateau, I’ve been flying planes in the world map, but we’ve reached an impasse, all of my jet airliners are on a 10-20 hr flight, and every time I check back it resets to the same time, I even left the app open for 2days, still the same results, don’t spend too much time or money with this one it will leave you disappointed!

Solid "flight simulator". Though not the most realistic flight simulator like infinite flight, this game is a fun game and also challenging. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because I prefer if you could fly in more places than Hawaii in free flight and also to lower the price of planes

Terrible Cloud Sync. Spent lots of hours and some money on this game with in app purchases, and moved to a new phone with everything backed up and magically everything is gone. Says there’s no cloud sync data, no purchases were restored and NO saved games were present. Literally had unlocked every plane and it goes back to the drawing board. Pitiful excuse for a simulator. It needs serious updates. Do not waste your time or money. As of this writing the game has not been update since approximately April 2018.

Good but.... I think this is a great app. Although, for some reason, I can't connect to the Internet according to the game. I am on my wifi at home and it works for everything else, but I can't do any of the global stuff because apparently I don't have Internet?! (which I do). I really want to because I've just gotten to level 10, so please fix this.

Good but pricey. The game in all honesty is a great game and has potential to be greater than it already is, but this all comes at a cost ($4 or so) which is a big hole in my wallet.

Took off and enjoyed myself. Played the first few lessons and purchased my first aircraft, love the scenery and it's enjoyable to play. Love the idea and looking forward to getting my A380. Only down side I would have liked it to be more expensive and removed the timer involved in waiting to be able to fly world wide. Another thing to people thinking of purchasing, you take off you then wait while the aircraft moves across the globe then you land so your not flying the whole flight just TO and Landings.

Not too bad. Ignore the messages by others about a black screen. Wait no more than 10 seconds then the game begins. Simple. Have some patience. Give it a go. The game has potential. Not wowed by it but happy to explore it further.

Please add Bombardier dash Q400. Hey guys, This is by far one of the best flight simulators for mobile that I have ever played and it is definitely worth the small amount of money! However I would like to see some new aircraft added in future updates... in particular the Bombardier Q400. This is a great game and any one who is looking for a flight sim game with challenging but still fun missions and free flight all covered with the initial payment, this is perfect for you!

Major Letdown!!!!. So here we have an app that fails to live up to it's name. Take Off had the potential to be great but a so called start up bug means that for many of us, we won't be taking off anytime soon. You don't need to be physic to know that this means many angry Apple customers. Personally I was really looking forward to being a pretend pilot for Qantas, just fix my app please so I can go on adventures!

Poor App. The world map has not worked for a couple of months now have contacted support on a number of occasions and was told that they were working on it. No updates still not working, what a waste.

Great game. The game is great. I was looking at the reviews before I bought it and saw the start up bug problem. I bought it anyway and it did show a black screen at the start but if you wait it works. I have a Air 2 by the way and I think it lives up to it name.

Love the game, but lonely. I love every aspect of this game. To me it's worth the money probs even more, I have played many flight simulator games but the get boring and don't have as much to do and can get easily reparative or finish quickly. but this one is the best, I love the quality the camera angles/option are on point, if you fly in first person if feel like you in a real plane because when you example move the throttle in show it moving in the plane and the fact that it has a free camera so you can view anyways. LOVE IT. As much as I like the game it feels lonely, could you add abit more life in the game for example other planes flying and at the airport. And hopefully I would love to see this become online, if u add online OMG MAN. You will reach the charts and even go off them. So far the games is good. All I ask if add life to the games and if it's possible to add online. Thx keep up the work I see a great future ahead of you. Maybe might show case it in my channel. The graphics and controls. I was looking at this game and thinking yeah this is a pretty good game the trailer is really good and the reviews look great but when I got the game it just looked nothing like the trailer and the controls are terrible you might aswell get RFS to be honest.

Mission 5 does not work bug. Hi mission 5 forest fire not working. Put out first fire by then no controls and plane crashes. Does this every time. Not even restart will fix.

Awesome to start, becomes repetitive. Was great working through the levels combined with the world map, however once the levels are done there isn't anything to work towards on the world map and becomes boring. Also, it's a pain needing wifi to play on the world map.

Great Simulation Game. Loving the game so far, building an airline company is great to keep me amused. One issue I found was when I go into "World" if you are to zoom into the globe to locate your aircraft and places to fly. The navigation is horrible, when zooming in it appears that the scrolling speed is also increased so swiping 1mm on your phone swings the globe around crazily! Please patch it. Apart from that a great game and some updates would be amazing.

Not a "Real" Flight Sim. Yeah, I should have known this was a chintzy game the moment I saw game pics. This game is really just simple and boring. You have to make it through campaigns in order to continue (or pay). The controls are terrible. Camera angles are useless. Replay doesn't seem to be an option. If you want the most balanced flight sim, go with AeroFly 2. If scenery graphics aren't an issue for you, then Infinite Flight is a close second.

The game broke. So the game was amazing and all until I reached a stage where my point crashed and it showed some insane number as a result I couldn’t get points to fly worldwide and so It made it harder to play, the. When I deleted it MY PROGRESS WAS LOST I WAS LVL 30 U MAD so I deleted the game and never gonna play it again... I really hope u fix these problems

Like it, but..... I really like this game. Different types of planes. Each one as its own style and "feel" and the missions are fun. But... the game refuse to connect to the wi-fi, telling me i'm not connected to the internet even if i'm connected to game center. The game still crashing when I try to connect to facebook. The result is I am unable to acces the store or the international flights. Hope this will be fixed soon !!! But a good game anyway !

Great simulator to keep you occupied.. Game works perfectly, I have no issues with it. Graphics are amazing with controls to get that feel your actually flying the plane. Lots of missions and even free roam. I don't buy to many games for my phone, but this game was worth it.

Worst Customer Support Ever!!. I bought this game because I love airplane sims. Tried to purchase in-game currency, it took my money but nothing applied to my game. Reached out to the developers for help, but they have done nothing to resolve my issue. So I'm out $10 with no positive solution. WARNING, DON'T BUY THIS GAME!!!

Good so far. Despite the other review warning about the black screen I decided to purchase anyway. At the start up there is a black screen that lasts longer than most apps but the game does start up and work. The controls are good but basic. Lots of stuff to do. The graphics are decent as well. So far I would say it's worth the purchase. iPhone 6+

Better than a lot of other aviation games but still need to work more.. The boeing B-747 is a good version of 4 super power engines. It’s made to fly and land smoothly, however in the game, you guys made it difficult to land. You guys set its stall at 180 knots air speed. Stall means cannot fly. This also mean the stall speed is lower than low speed of the airplane. So at 180 knots is the lowest air speed the B-747 should not be set because it will cause the plane drop and boom. From 180-200 knots should be a good range for speed to land, why do you guys made it so fast, as that speed with raising the nose, the airplane should be at the perfect shape of landing, smooth landing obviously, not bumping on the ground to the air and losing its control. Please fix it. Thanks

Good game. Game works just fine. Black screen for about 15 or 20 seconds. It's a good game. Controls are good but not great. Good graphics. Certainly one of the better flight sims in the App Store. I'm satisfied with my purchase of this game.

Beautiful terrain and weather rendering. A minor disappointment in that one gets nothing for the app price. I would at least wanted to try out the flight model before I spend tens of real dollar per plane. Having said this, you can buy the lighter and personal aircraft for few dollars. I did on my iPad but could not restore these purchases to my iPhone, what a pitty. On the positive note, the rendering and level of realism of weather, water and scenery is gorgeous. 3 D animated and artfully rendered cockpits adds to this realism. Flying around the Hawaiian isles is relaxing and refreshing. So far so good. ...

Can I get a refund?. I want a refund the game says I have no internet connection even though I do so I can't play the full game if the creators aren't going to fix this can I get a refund?

Amazing Graphics and Game. I simply enjoy this Stimulator. It's the closest most of us would ever get to the feeling of flying a plane,needless to say a commercial jet.I highly recommend it

Unrealistic and Muddy Graphics. This plays and looks nothing like the video and screenshots. The controls are very very Arcady and the graphics seem low res.

Great but could improve. The scenery is great but the exterior of the plane could be better

Decent arcade game. NOT a simulator. Needs calibration button.. Not a bad arcade game. Not a sim. Needs some frame rate tweaks as it lags moderately during game play (air 2, iPad Pro). And is anyone else having the issue of their airplane exploding on the Tarmac at departure roll? And always before you get to the runway number markings?

Lots of fun. Fun sim bit crashes on year-old iPad. Had to quit because after buying the SR22, I couldn't start the next mission ("car search"). Great while it lasted!

Rip Off. I paid for this game, yet to really go anywhere you have to shell out more $. The jobs pay almost no $ so you basically have to fly hundreds of missions to buy a $5,000,000 airplane. Rip Off!

Bad. It's impossible to earn money. Forces you to pay real money 😠

Like it so far. Made simple! I was a FSX geek, but this app is a nice break without spending countless hours wondering around. Lacks the in depth flying of FS, but works great on IPhone 6+

All of Sudden Not Working. All of a sudden it keeps saying no internet connection but every other app that uses internet is working smoothly

Not Connected. I'd be having a lot of fun with this. BUT. Every time I try to go to the store it tells me to connect to the internet. I AM. Wifi and cellular. It's a shame because I'd gladly plunk down for that F-16! Very bizarre that I want to spend money and cannot.

Impossible. I have been playing this game long enough that I noticed it was impossible, my 22 year old brother couldn't even finish the training level!

Crashes a lot. The world map is messed up,game can never load right. I want a refund.

Remove checkpost. Remove that stupid checkpost just before the runway. It blocks the runway view.

😡😡. DOESN'T EVEN WORK!!! Every time I load up the app it is a black screen then two minutes later it crashes without me being able to do anything☹️

DOES'NT WORK. It does'nt work I have an iPad mini pro and every time I try to play it,it kicks me out of the app.

Not much of a sim. The aircraft physics are very far from realistic as would be expected from something called a 'simulation'. Controls are clunky and awkward despite sensitive adjustments. Poor response from pitch and roll tilts. Very few airports. Inaccurate flight time scale. There's no global flight, just airports from around the globe. 20 or so airports big deal. Earnings and economy stink. Could be more fun if the control response was much better.
